Me: knows nothing about Texas other than it being hot and big

Where would be the ideal place? Like if or characters possibly came upon one another? How would we be meeting up? Bounty? Bar? Riot in an village?

Hmmmm, well most of north texas is uninhabitable at the moment due to month long raging cyclones so in that area theres a storm wall built 3 miles away from the tornados, with several hatches leading to underground cities and vaults.

They could meet in south or coastal texas. Just not too far south, Mexico took over that and they're not very friendly to anyone who's too..... American.

How do we know anything of Mexico is even left

Bear in mind the Fallout 2 intro 'entire continents were swallowed by the boiling oceans'

Oh.... probably some of northern Mexico is left, probably everything below Sinaloa, Durango and Tamaulipas was swallowed whole. Baja California could be gone too since it was too thin a land mass.

I tweaked the lore to have the institute use the technology from the Sierra Madre vending machines, and they have modified combat armor from it's 2 pre-war designs, check it out.

But not FROM the Sierra Madre right?

They went into the casino. Why?

They went into the casino. Why?
The Institute somehow got across the entirety of the wasteland(a long distance for a faction with no vertiberds) and got into the Sierra Madre despite the vault very likely having been locked by now?

They'd also have to have KNOWN that Big Mountain had created the tech, and that the Madre had it
I was saying that the Institute could have developed their own nano replicators was all

True...... gimme a minute. But they would need blueprints or a working model to work off of right? Also yhe could have activated radio relays or hacked into them to teleport there.

Wouldn't that take a lot of juice? They'd still have to be aware there was anything out there of value, remember that most of the Institute just thought the wasteland was....a waste

I think it's far easier if we just have them develop their own, they have advanced tech, they don't need the resources of the Think Tank

I'll do it in a bit. Just need a quick head count.

Bio: Born in Vault 52, he orphaned from birth after his mother died during childbirth. He was adopted by security officer Dan Walker. He was a bit aggressive from a young age, despite his adoptive father being a rather calm and laid back authority figure, however he always had a habit of picking only on bullies. Which earned him a bit of a body guard reputation, despite the polar differences between him and his adoptive father's personality. He wanted to be a security officer just like him, he took the G.O.A.T. but did not get the job of security officer, instead he was placed in the Vault's exploration team. His first expedition outside of vault 52 was something he was not prepared for. His team was hit by a swarm of giant ants after a few hours of exploration. He was the only one left of the team, onward he marched to get supplies and scrap for the vault. After a week of solid exploration he returned a changed man, he brought enough salvage for the vault's current construction projects. He even returned with things to trade with the store such as new weapons and armor. He became the vault's primary explorer for 3 years until one day, he never returned. He felt he wasn't being compensated enough so he decided to join Wolfpack Industries. He quickly rose through the ranks as their deadliest enforcer and Captain in 2 years time. His name had been one to carry fear across the republic of Texas. On one mission he was ordered to clear out a vault to fashion as a base, vault 52. Having not returned to the vault for years he hesitantly agreed, he led a small team to take over the vault. Once at the door he couldn't go through with his orders, he killed his entire recon teams and gave the vault a warning. To never open it's doors to anyone wearing his armor, he left to a small town on the outskirts of Madisonville to find scrap to build the vault entrance some proper defenses. He would return every month or so building turrets and traps along the vault's entrance and killing any would be raiders. He'd leave the password for the defenses terminal for the vault security to use, should they want to shut down the defenses to sent out more dwellers to explore. Months had passed since he completed the defenses, he had wondered around Texas working as a hired gun, paid thug, and even assassin from time to time. He didn't exactly come cheap and he had a habit of bullying his employers for a better payment. But he was worth the price. He's had several run ins with his former brothers in arms Wolfpack Industries. Still donning their armor but with a few personal tweaks, they took this as an insult and have made him a priority target. To avoid having to run into them too often he explored the Republic of Texas for possible allies, however his reputation would make that difficult. He found his last option with the Texas rangers, after a small settlement had been attacked by raiders. He came in to save the day by mowing down the entire group with his machine gun. The Rangers Leader, had decided to hire him instead, to see how it works out. But should he fall back to old habits, he would be seen as an enemy of the rangers.

Bio: Born in Vault 52 she is the eldest daughter of doctor Emily Carter, she has always been overly cautious and wary of people around her. She was never the trusting type, despite her mother being known to be very friendly. Her life and that of her younger sister's was rather uneventful for the most part. Once she turned 18 however she was assigned to the exploration team. After a few expeditions outside the vault she learnt about the institute and what they plane, she slowly began to interfere with a few of their operations but she was clearly out classed. She quickly tried to escape the ambush but to they managed to surround her, she was forced t retreat into a red rocket station until a brotherhood vertibird and some rangers came to kill the synths and scavenge their tech. After the fighting stopped she came out to thank them both, she traded a few things with them as well as collect some salvage for the vault but during that time, she eavesdropped on a few rangers talking about the railroad and how they were the only ones who stood up to the institute. They also talked about how they might still be around but in hiding, intrigued she listened more, one of the key phrases was 'Follow The Iron Road'. She walked by thinking what they meant by Iron Road. Soon she stumbled upon train tracks with peculiar carvings on the rails. She followed them as she walked followed the tracks. Until they stopped at an abandoned train station. As she explored deeper into the station she was encountered by numerous ghouls, she managed to fight them off be not without getting injured. She managed to reach a strange door with a lamp on it. She turned it on and seconds later the door opened leading her to the basement. As she walked down the stairway and massive underground HQ illuminated. There she met the Railroad's current Leader Sabrina Wallace, she told her what the railroad does and how they have kept hidden after their near extermination at Boston for the past 8 decades. It turns out that after Paladin Danse left the brotherhood to hide and after the sole survivor betrayed the railroad, Curie along with Honest Dan and Amelia Stockton, helped rebuild it after Deacon's and Old Man Stockton's executions. They all fled west, gathering allies from the capital wasteland, all the way to the Texas commonwealth and Dixie wasteland. Since then they have been secretly helping liberate synths and sabotaging Institute experiments and activities. After hearing this Eliza decided to join them as a tourist, she would help a few Synths start new lives as vault dwellers, luckily these were the Gen 6 Synths so no one knew or would even be able to tell them apart from other humans. As years passed she worked for the Railroad and soon became an agent, but once things began to get more dangerous she allowed her younger sister to follow and assist her in her missions, without telling her why she was doing this of course, in a way she feels bad for having kept this secret from her for so long.

Bio: A Vault Dweller like her older sister Eliza, and just like her a very uneventful life, however like her mother she was very trusting and friendly, however as she grew older she noticed men were only nice to her because of her looks. Knowing this she felt hurt and disheartened at the fact that her appearance was the only thing anyone considered of value. So to make them pay she began to use her looks to her advantage, she would always manipulate and trick the boys in the vault to get her things, however she never gave anything back or what they would expect. Getting tired of being led around a two male vault dwellers volunteered to join the expedition team with her when her sister was on another, their first mission, find a nice place to put up a nice trading stop. Little did she suspect that they would try something that night, once she fell asleep they slowly began to tie her up. Being a light sleeper she woke up almost instantly and tried to scream for help, they then gagged her and dragged her to a ruined house on the side of the road to enact their vengeance. Lucky for her, a patrol of Texas Ranger's happened to march by and saw everything, they rescued Gabriella and had the two males handcuffed and led back to their vault. As Thanks she gave the rangers the things the men have collected, she also asked about the Rangers and what they did around the wastelands. The current lieutenant Anthony Garvey spoke of how his grandparents Preston Garvey and Piper Wright fled from Boston during the Institute's inquisition. They joined forces with a settlements in D.C. Megaton, Big Town, Rivet City, Canterbury Commons, Arefu, the children fro little lamplight and dwellers from Vault 101. They all worked together to hold back the institute but they failed miserably and were forced to flee further west. On his Grandfather;s deathbed his Father Johnathan Garvey decided to bring back the spirit of the minutemen of old Boston. Once he reached Texas he began to gather and unite settlers under one banner, they were the first Texas Rangers along with Harden Simms They both led the Rangers as a public militia and enforcement group. During this time they helped vault dwellers and settlers build much more fortified settlements and homes on what little they could inhabit in Texas. Anthony then bragged about how the Laser Musket he held belonged to his grandfather, then his father and now him. His current squad sergeant Rachael Simms also bragged about how her modified Chinese assault rifle was also a hand-me-down from her grandfather, to her dad to her. After this Gabriella helped them get through the defenses and the vault dwellers who tried to harm her were paced under arrest by vault-tec security. She asked to join the Rangers in their quest to save Texas from the institute, They were sure the NCR could handle them but with them still squabbling with the legion it might be difficult. On her next expedition Gabriella tracked down the Ranger's to their HQ, there she met the current Leader Theodore Harrow, he agreed to let her join their ranks as a deputy but first she'd need to hone her shooting skills. During her time with the ranger's she became known as an amazing sniper, her marksmanship with any scoped rifle was unmatched, she was always taken by her new best friends to raider settlements and acted as medic and designated sniper. With her scoped IF-54 battle rifle she was a very good shot, once she had collected enough scrap she modified it into the IF-54 Beowulf, a sniper rifle with no equal. Soon after she gained a bit of a reputation she was promoted to sergeant and got access to their long distance communication tech. Apparently years ago, and institute scientist went AWOL and joined the brotherhood of steel in Texas, he taught decided to apply his life's work with them, long distance communication through radio signals like the institute's teleportation. This would make HAM radios useful once more as well as some prototype eye/ear pieces from West Tek become functioning communication links. The channels would have to be encrypted to keep the institute from eavesdropping onto them, the brotherhood formed their own set of communication channels as did the rangers, a few vaults and possibly the railroad. Once she began to travel with her sister again she would ask her to help in her Ranger missions. They also worked with Rachael and Anthony from time to time.
