Personality: Momo is confident and outgoing, quite fun to be around if one has a sense of humor. Momo has never been afraid to speak her mind for fear of hurting someone's feelings and she isn't above tossing a snarky remark or two when/if the situation calls for it. The majority of her repertoire consists of sarcastic comments or jokes accompanied by a sardonic smirk or raising of an eyebrow. She has been called cold more than a few times, but only because has extremely selective empathy, being that she cannot bring herself to understand the ridiculous reasons which cause a great deal of upset and alarm to most people. Crying at the drop of a hat is simply annoying and a waste of the human body's functions in her opinion. Tear glands exist for the purpose of keeping one's eyes moist to prevent them drying out, not to stream torrents of water down one's face because of silly things. As a firm believer of independence, she absolutely loathes damsels in distress. She's quite determined and headstrong when it comes to accomplishing tasks. Despite all appearances, Momo is not always as carefree as she seems, and has a completely different side when she is alone, a more pained side that she keeps hidden from many. For her own reasons. She has no problem making friends as she enjoys the company of others every once in a while.
History:
Akihiko Hana, a jounin ranked shinobi, had been reported to help to lead a platoon, to relieve a siege on a Konohagakure camp that was being harrassed by Kirigakure forces. Hana Haragi, a jounin ranked kunoichi, had been the leading figure in some operations against Iwagakure, but later was transfered to help in the front against Kirigakure. Together they were assigned to lead a platoon of Konohagakure shinobi and were able to help with regaining land from Kirigakure invasion forces. But during their time working together, they fell in love. Which of course caused Hana to become pregnant. After this was revealed, she was sent back to Konohagakure.
In the year of 460, Momo was born in Konohagakure... Her father however was kept to fight at the grim front against Kirigakure. But due skill, luck and the leadership that lead the forces at that front, he managed to survive the many battlefields that came to existance due the warring Konoha and Kirigakure shinobi. After the war, both parents were stationed in Konohagakure after requesting it. They were set to become part of the shinobi that would be helping to defend the village or doing missions nearby the village. After some time the two of them were assigned to teach at the Academy. A job they both appreciated and enjoyed.
Meanwhile, Momo was thus raised without knowing the pain or grim world that the war gave. And though she wished to become a kunoichi, her parents wouldn't let her attend and go to the Academy until a later age. Probably due their own experience after the First Shinobi World War. But in the end she was allowed to enter the Academy at the age of thirteen years old. During the Academy, Momo became more interested due the stories of adventures of ninja and the aspect of learning was what the final push for her to strive to become a full kunoichi. The problem however came that she was bad at a lot of things, shown in many tests where she scored quite low. With scoring better in other fields such as target practice and general studies, it became clear that she would need to work on the poor parts while focusing on her talents.
She had some sucess raising up her skills in taijutsu and ninjutsu, but over time became more interested in weapons and ninja tools. After learning from her parents that her fascination could lead her in a different path and also bring success, she decided to persue it and began to focus more on Bukijutsu and learning how to aquire and summon different weapons. She became good at this, really good. Graduating the Academy at thirteen, Momo would join a team and continue on with advancing her skills. Eventually promotion was on the horizon some years later, and now as a relatively new Chunin, Momo's ambitions have only seemed to grow.
On the 23rd of January of this year, Momo's mother gave birth to a little girl who allowed Momo to name, Ayama since it went well with their last name. During the entire pregnancy, her mother was in and out of the hospital, getting sick seemingly every other week. Many times the family was stricken with fear that they would lose the baby... though as time went on, it became clear that the baby was fine and it was her mother that they were losing. They all knew her mother was in pain all the time, even if she was good at hiding it. By the last week of the pregnancy, Momo's mother had lost nearly half of her body weight and was merely a ghost of her former self. Despite this, she managed to hold on with sheer willpower and the need to see her baby before passing on.
January the 23rd a few minutes before midnight, Momo's mother died in her sleep, peaceful and painlessly. Despite warnings ahead of time and preparing mentally, Momo was still grief stricken by the news, as was her father. It was a blessing the baby had been born, but a curse the family had to go on without her mothers cheeriness brightening up the house. Taking the roll of mother herself, Momo took a break from her squad, watching over Ayama while her Father worked in the Academy by day and at night she would train, making sure she would not lose her skills from lack of practice. The stress of having to watch over her baby sister slowly began to build up on top of the pain she felt at the loss of her mother and for a short time, Momo flew into a depression. Her father noticing this, he forced Momo back into doing what she loved, being part of a squad, honing her skills and helping out the village. Now at the start of May, she is to be assigned a new team as some things have been moved around.
Her goal is currently to follow in the footsteps of her parents, who are renowned and respected shinobi that work to teach students in the Academy. Momo wants to someday be able to call her self a true Weapons Specialist and work in the Academy, teaching those students like her who seem to have no promise, and showing them that their talents lie elsewhere. To this day she dreams of her mother most nights, knowing that her former classroom will one day be hers.
