Backstory:
If there was one thing Homura learned growing up, it was live with honor and pride. On March 20th, concurrent with the Day of Fire, Homura of the Unkei clan was born. First and only son of Nobles, Haru and Ichika Unkei, he was welcomed by his clan with open arms. It is known within the culture that being born on the day of Fire is something of good luck, and although it happened quite rarely every child born upon that day is usually to be celebrated with fervor. March 20th, the day in which Spring replaces Winter, and brings upon a new warmth by God - and for the first time ever a Noble was born on that exact day, be it a boy no less. To the Unkei it was a sign of blessings and many years of luck to come. Haru and Ichika were proud of their boy, and the Nobles celebrated all throughout Kenraoi that same night. Holding long feasts, with fresh wine, and traditional dishes. His father, Haru, was the only one of the new family that attended the event - his mother Ichika rested while her new born child was being cared for by Unkei Midwives. This ironically would become the tale of Homura's upringing.
His father was a man that enjoyed basking in glory. Months after the excitement of his new born had dwindled, he turned his attention into rising up the noble rankings wanting to become the head of the clan. His bargaining chip, other than this previous military experience, was his direct families history in the assistance of the coup against the Hanta clan, and now his son's birth. He told all those that would listen that god rightfully chose him to be the leader of the Unkei. While he would never end up as the head of the Unkei, he got damn close. While all of this was unfolding, Ichika, his mother was becoming deathly ill. There were a number of complications during the birth - that would permanently cause issues for Homura's mother.
She would later die when he was five years old. From his distant memories of his mother, he could remember her warmth. Currently now, many of their servants tell him he looks much like his mother. From the long dark hair, to the sharp bone structure, and thin eyebrows. Almost a spitting image. She would spend as much time with him as she possibly could, and he could even remember some of the things they would talk about. They'd speak often about God, she taught him about how great he was and how he must never turn from him. Another memorable topic was his father. She found him crying out by the grapevine one day, it was on a good day since she was able to limp around with the aid of her cane and wasn't stuck in bed. She came to him as quickly as she could, worried he had hurt himself, come to find out he had been crying over the absence of his father. He rarely had the time to see his father, and yet whenever he spoke to the other children in school they told of tales about things they have done with their dads. She coddled him the best she could, telling him his father was unique, and that his form of showing love was different. The kind words soothes him, and they spent the rest of the day eating grapes amongst the singing birds. Months later when she died, he wept harder than ever before.
Father did show affection in the best way he knew how, by teaching Homura about the Unkei culture. He was able to remember all of the most significant events in history by the time he was eight. By the time he was ten he was sure he heard the tales twenty times over and had memorized most if not all of it. Although hearing the same stories were at times boring, he appreciated most of the time spent with his father because he knew this was the best way he knew how to show his love. His father was not a brutal man, just because he enjoyed attention didn't make him terrible. He knew that was not the case, when he told stories of his time in battle, or stories of his own father and how he stood up against the Hanta during the coup, there was a twinkle in his eyes. The same twinkle that shined like stars when he would remind other nobles that his son was born on The Day of Fire. The exact same twinkle he had when Homura came to his own at the age of ten, and learned of his affinity to fire at the Academy.
Homura spent a lot of time taking up his skills in the academy, wanting nothing more than to make his father and his clan proud. He saw this too as a blessing from God, letting him not only be born on the day of fire but also letting him have the ability to use Fire in battle. Most of his clan specialized in the affinity of Wind, and while not all did, he felt special. His father didn't stop him from thinking that either, he was just as convinced as Homura was. Haru would call in as many favors as he could, gathering the best Unkei soldiers there was to offer to help train his son in combat. Haru himself, despite being much older and not as limber, would teach his son different styles of taijutsu.
One day at the Academy, Homura made friends with a Hanta girl. Despite being raised to hate those of the Hanta clan, the girl grew on him from working alongside one another for months. He was thirteen at the time, and he hid the friendship from his father the best he could. The friendship even showed some signs of sparking into more than just that, but at such a young age and with the way it came to an end, Homura would never come to find out. He came home, and his father was waiting for him with one of the scariest looks he had ever witnessed. Upon his lap was what appeared to be a strap, used on cattle. His father yelled at him about befriending a Hanta, told him it was damn near a sin, and he wouldn't tolerate a sinner in his home. He forced Homura, embarrassed and ashamed, to bend over whilst shirtless and struck him with the whip. It left a permanent scar, both physically and mentally. He fears his father like no other man. He never spoke to the Hanta girl again and to this day has no clue who told his father of their friendship.
Finally graduating from the Academy, Homura felt proud about his accomplishments. His father was overjoyed, and similar to the day of his birth the nobles celebrated the success - like they always did for any noble child that graduated. But within his pride for his clan and himself, he knew deep inside not all the teachings of his clan were correct. While he believed he had to bring honor to his clan, he always wanted to bring a new sense of change. There was no changing the old ways of his father, who was now becoming more feeble with age, or those of the nobles that already had their minds set in stone. He promised himself he will bring the foundation of change for the Unkei, he will bring his clan to greatness like that of the Uchiha and Tokugawa. But he will do it whilst bringing in a new generation of Unkei, a generation that while still culturally correct, are ready to reconsider their stance with other clans to do good within this world. Is that not what god would want?

Unless I am mistaken, the personality section is empty. Would you be so kind as to write at least two paragraphs detailing his personality? Thanks!Personality:
You also stated to master the Way of Fire. Do you mean to master or understand the Religion, 'the Way of Fire' better or something else? You don't need to change it, as I am asking simply to get better clarification.Master the Way of Fire
He told all those that would listen that god rightfully chose him to be the leader of the Unkei. While he would never end up as the head of the Unkei, he got damn close
You state that he has good genjutsu, but no technique is present within his character sheet. As such, I have requested our genjutsu guru ( @Lesli ) for some basic genjutsu that you could consider putting on the list of techniques he has mastered:
Good Genjutsu that he picked up from working hard on his already learned move sets
You are more than welcome to craft and create some low ranked fire techniques, of course! I and the other GM's would be more than eager to lend some aid in that if you would have us.*Didn't know what else to put because there weren't many D-Ranked Jutsus for my affinity, may have to make some up on my own if approved!*
You are most welcome. I have read the changes and I am most content.@Aliceee I appreciate the feedback again and made a number of changes!
That's funny that I share the same name lol! Hope it doesn't become confusing in the future and doesn't step on anyone's toes. I also fixed the history so it fits more with what you said, the majority of the changes were made in the second paragraph, the fourth had very minor changes, and the last paragraph had a decent amount of changes - none of the changes are groundbreaking however and is basically the same.
I must have accidentally skipped the personality section all together, it was late last night and I was exhausted so that was my fault, sorry again ^^. Thank you for aiding me with what I missed about having Genjutsu be a part of Homura's list, totally let that slip. And finally, I made a Rank-D technique to make up for the inability of being able to find one that fit Homura's style. Let me know if you don't think it would be considered D ranked and I'll change whatever needs to be changed!
Again, super excited, hope all the changes are good to go!! :)

Personality:
Homura Unkei grew up on values passed down to him by an overzealous father and an ill god loving mother. He grew up to be a stern, level headed young man, that remains steadfast on his morals and ambitions. He believes that everyone should be treated as an equal, despite any former clan relations. Even though he tries to remain unjudgmental he holds his own prejudices - specifically to those of the Hanta clan. Homura is also a very pious boy, believing strongly in The Way of Fire, and appreciates meeting those with similar belief. He's also a great storyteller, something of value he picked up from his father, and he always finds a way to tell a good tale about his past or of the Unkei history to his friends.
Homura loves learning, whether it be about new jutsus, cultures, or traditions. On his free time when he isn't training, he tries to read books on other cultures and indulge in them. Along with that he has an adherence to training and wanting to progress in forms of combat. This makes him a quick learner when it comes to many things. He struggles with being a perfectionist, always trying to be better than the last time he trained, or his peers that he usually considers his rivals. When he doesn't perform at the level that he thinks he should, it usually upsets him and puts him in a melancholy state. Even though he considering his peers rivals, he's loyal to all of his allies, and is willing to put his life on the line for those he loves and everything he believes in. But he's resentful, and if he were to be betrayed by any friends or done wrong by anyone it is hard for him to forgive them.

This put him in hot water with head of the household and other noble members. He fleed to the capital, Konohagakure to avoid further conflict leaving the issue unresolved with an unofficial exile from the Clan. He was able to keep the Unkei name, along with his servants and soldiers, and settled down in the capital. While all of this was unfolding, Ichika, his mother was becoming deathly ill. Type of Jutsu: Ninjutsu/Taijutsu
Rank: D
Range: Close
Nature Type: Fire
Handseals: Rat, Serpent, Tiger, Ox, Dragon
Description: He can heat up his body internally from within his chakra chambers, he could feel the heat run through his body and is eventually released. He can use this to heat up his body in the event that he's too cold or if he's in the middle of combat and uses this jutsu his hits can slightly singe the skin of combatants.
With more experience, he could eventually develop this jutsu to do more damage by creating a more intense exterior heat, and will be able to engulf his sword in flames. As of now, he's hardly incapable of damaging others with it.
Weakness: He has very little control over how hot it can get internally, and if he isn't careful could lead to him fainting or worst case scenario organs to fail. He can control how long he can keep it flowing through his chakra for, but the longer he keeps it on the hotter it gets and the more risk to his health it has.
