The Lightning Force at the front is led by Satoshi Jun. His deployment was 5.000 troops but with the aid of Genji Hojo moving in to reinforce the lines, it brings the total force at the left wing up to 6.500 troops.

The centre is being held by the 13th Imperial Brigade, the Disciples of Lord Akumu. Their leader is Brigade General Ergil Hon. Their force numbers to 6.250 troops.

The right wing is being led by Kiro Oda - known IC wise as Yuuki Narukami. The Republican troops at the right wing count up to a strength of 5.000 troops.

The total troops deployed by the allies are numbering in total: 17.750 troops.

The numbers and leaders of the Rong force are uncertain. It is estimated roughly at double the size of the front line of the allied force. They did attempt to cross north of the battle, in hope to flank and put more pressure on the allied fighting force. This was brought to a halt by a platoon of Guardians, led by Hideki Hyuuga, as a number of Tiger Claws of Saki Yamanaka. While the clash at the main crossing is taking place, the Divine Swords are attempting to topple the combined force of some Guardians and the Tiger Claws.

His father's philosophy on war and fighting was always a negative one, influenced by the Great War — the end of which he experienced himself — and Yukio quickly learned how to numb his emotions in combat — so as to terminate the 'thrill of battle'.

When he came of age, he enrolled in the Academy, and was subsequently gifted a black kitten by his grandparents, whom he named Kuro and quickly became best friends with. While his general grades in the Academy were nothing to write home about, he did display a prodigious ability to wield the sword, earning him high marks in Kenjutsu practice. Upon his graduation and promotion to genin, in the wake of the village's turmoil, his father ceremoniously returned and gifted him with a katana. Ordinary in design as though it were, with no embellishments to speak of, its edge bespoke a sharpness and capability to kill that frightened Yukio. Vowing to never use it in vain, he joined up with a team and began his shinobi career.

Personality:
Accepting would be a good word to describe Tentou's personality. She is a girl who clearly has her own mind, her own ideas, her own ideals, but at the same time she accepts that other people do not have her mind. They will not understand her and that is okay. Not everything has to be understood and not everything has to be mapped out. Her bugs might be creepy to others, but they are part of her as much as her hair and her eyes are and she has accepted that a long time ago.

Tentou is calm, cheerful at times, but never loud or extremely outgoing. She likes people even if they might be creeped out by her and enjoys having a drink and a good conversation, but isn't hurt when that is denied. Because of her upbringing and her Hiden she doesn't have many friends, but she cherishes those she has with all her might. Her faith in her family is unwavering and she knows that they will always, always have her back. She has an exceptionally good relationship with her 6 year older brother Saburo and Tentou knows that if there was a choice, she would save her family first unless they explicitly told her to do otherwise.

Tentou is not one to judge quickly, mostly because people always judge her as soon as they see her appearance. However, while she might not judge others harshly, she is also not keen to understand the others because usually they do not make an attempt to understand her. Simply accepting the fact that they are different is easier than attempting to understand everything around her.

Out in the world, on missions or in fights, Tentou is disciplined. She listens to her commanding officer and will attempt to execute orders as well as she can possibly do. Questions that are necessary will be asked, but there is a faith in the system that rests within her mind. She has a role to play in this world and she will do it. It is how the world survives. In Tentou's mind the need of the many come before the few, but the need of the family comes first. That might be hypocritical, but it is her family she has always been able to build on, no one else.

This is not because this small clan is made up of unkind people. People just tend to be disturbed by these characters that have made their bodies living hives for thousands and thousands of bugs. The people of the clan understand that well enough and have never forcefully tried to make people understand. They have simply done their jobs, having held functions in the shinobi army for years because of their specific set of skills, and kept to themselves.

Tentou was born in one of these Aburame families. The fourth child in the family, Tentou was preceded by three brothers, the oldest already 11 year old. Growing up they were a tight family. They looked out for each other because no one else would look out for them instead. Of course, very soon after she was born Tentou was exposed to the Parasitic Destruction Insect Technique, as all children within the Aburame clan are, and like all of them she grew up thinking it was normal to have bugs under her skin. Only when Tentou was exposed to the outside world, to the children in the Academy who showed off such different techniques, did she realise that she was not like them. She was not like them at all. And people didn't like her.

It was a new experience after having grown up in such a tight family that cared so much for each other. Suddenly people shunned her and stayed away from her. They didn't understand her life at all. And yet, it didn't make Tentou bitter. She had her family and though her days at school were marked by lonely lunches and empty seats beside her, she had her brothers, her mother and father and her grandmother to welcome her home. They had similar experiences and, especially her grandmother, showed her that people might not understand, but that didn't mean they didn't need the Aburame around. They were important members of the society too.

Over the years, Tentou grew up. She was mostly home schooled as the Academy couldn't teach her much about the clan specific Hiden. Yet to become a real shinobi the Academy had to be finished and so she became a Genin at the age of 12, and joined her first team. She didn't have the most perfect of grades, but she was a diligent student. She joined a team and managed to make some friends. It was still difficult to understand for others how her abilities exactly worked, but they could see the uses of them.

The Shoji Occupation started when she was 14 (turning 15 later that year) and she stood down like the rest of the shinobi in Konoha did. It were confusing times when chakra masts were placed down and the Aburame had to wonder if their insects were going to be okay. The beetles fed on the chakra of their host after all and there was a strange fear that the bugs might die out. Luckily, the masts only stopped active molding of chakra and did not make it impossible for the insects to consume their daily meal. In a strange turn of events, the chakra masts limited the Aburame only a little as their bugs are not controlled by chakra, meaning that they could still use most of their techniques. Just the ones that actively used chakra were unavailable. For this reason some of the clanmembers were approached to help out with the rebellion against Shoji. Tentou stayed home as her two older brothers went off to help out with smaller operations. Her own moment came when her team was selected with many others, among which her father, to march to Magnhild so help out the defending forces there. One of her brothers, however, would never come home again.

Two years later, Tentou would think back to that battlefield as she stood in the arena for the Chuunin Exams in Amegakure, her bugs with her. She passed her fight with flying colors and was promoted. Because of her specific skills, Tentou has been going back and forth between teams a lot now that she is a Chuunin, helping out where necessary.

Personality:
Accepting would be a good word to describe Tentou's personality. She is a girl who clearly has her own mind, her own ideas, her own ideals, but at the same time she accepts that other people do not have her mind. They will not understand her and that is okay. Not everything has to be understood and not everything has to be mapped out. Her bugs might be creepy to others, but they are part of her as much as her hair and her eyes are and she has accepted that a long time ago.

Tentou is calm, cheerful at times, but never loud or extremely outgoing. She likes people even if they might be creeped out by her and enjoys having a drink and a good conversation, but isn't hurt when that is denied. Because of her upbringing and her Hiden she doesn't have many friends, but she cherishes those she has with all her might. Her faith in her family is unwavering and she knows that they will always, always have her back. She has an exceptionally good relationship with her 6 year older brother Saburo and Tentou knows that if there was a choice, she would save her family first unless they explicitly told her to do otherwise.

Tentou is not one to judge quickly, mostly because people always judge her as soon as they see her appearance. However, while she might not judge others harshly, she is also not keen to understand the others because usually they do not make an attempt to understand her. Simply accepting the fact that they are different is easier than attempting to understand everything around her.

Out in the world, on missions or in fights, Tentou is disciplined. She listens to her commanding officer and will attempt to execute orders as well as she can possibly do. Questions that are necessary will be asked, but there is a faith in the system that rests within her mind. She has a role to play in this world and she will do it. It is how the world survives. In Tentou's mind the need of the many come before the few, but the need of the family comes first. That might be hypocritical, but it is her family she has always been able to build on, no one else.

History:
Members of the Aburame clan are not well liked in the world, which is to put it mildly. Or as some say it, they tend to be misunderstood. This is not because this small clan is made up of unkind people. People just tend to be disturbed by these characters that have made their bodies living hives for thousands and thousands of bugs. The people of the clan understand that well enough and have never forcefully tried to make people understand. They have simply done their jobs, having held functions in the shinobi army for years because of their specific set of skills, and kept to themselves.

Tentou was born in one of these Aburame families. The fourth child in the family, Tentou was preceded by three brothers, the oldest already 11 year old. Growing up they were a tight family. They looked out for each other because no one else would look out for them instead. Of course, very soon after she was born Tentou was exposed to the Parasitic Destruction Insect Technique, as all children within the Aburame clan are, and like all of them she grew up thinking it was normal to have bugs under her skin. Only when Tentou was exposed to the outside world, to the children in the Academy who showed off such different techniques, did she realise that she was not like them. She was not like them at all. And people didn't like her.

It was a new experience after having grown up in such a tight family that cared so much for each other. Suddenly people shunned her and stayed away from her. They didn't understand her life at all. And yet, it didn't make Tentou bitter. She had her family and though her days at school were marked by lonely lunches and empty seats beside her, she had her brothers, her mother and father and her grandmother to welcome her home. They had similar experiences and, especially her grandmother, showed her that people might not understand, but that didn't mean they didn't need the Aburame around. They were important members of the society too.

Over the years, Tentou grew up. She was mostly home schooled as the Academy couldn't teach her much about the clan specific Hiden. Yet to become a real shinobi the Academy had to be finished and so she became a Genin at the age of 12, and joined her first team. She didn't have the most perfect of grades, but she was a diligent student. She joined a team and managed to make some friends. It was still difficult to understand for others how her abilities exactly worked, but they could see the uses of them.

The Shoji Occupation started when she was 14 (turning 15 later that year) and she stood down like the rest of the shinobi in Konoha did. It were confusing times when chakra masts were placed down and the Aburame had to wonder if their insects were going to be okay. The beetles fed on the chakra of their host after all and there was a strange fear that the bugs might die out. Luckily, the masts only stopped active molding of chakra and did not make it impossible for the insects to consume their daily meal. In a strange turn of events, the chakra masts limited the Aburame only a little as their bugs are not controlled by chakra, meaning that they could still use most of their techniques. Just the ones that actively used chakra were unavailable. For this reason some of the clanmembers were approached to help out with the rebellion against Shoji. Tentou stayed home as her two older brothers went off to help out with smaller operations. Her own moment came when her team was selected with many others, among which her father, to march to Magnhild so help out the defending forces there. One of her brothers, however, would never come home again.

Two years later, Tentou would think back to that battlefield as she stood in the arena for the Chuunin Exams in Amegakure, her bugs with her. She passed her fight with flying colors and was promoted. Because of her specific skills, Tentou has been going back and forth between teams a lot now that she is a Chuunin, helping out where necessary.

History:
Miyazato Aoi was born on a rather cold February day to her parents Miyazato Ichiro and Miyazato Mai. The first of two children born to the family, Aoi grew up running around the families shrine and Onsen located in the mountains a few hours North of Konohagakure causing general mischief and occasionally helping out her parents with their work maintaining the shrine itself and the hot-spring that was the families main source of income located a little bit higher up on the mountain.

As a child of just three Aoi began to suffer the consequences of her families Kekkei Genkai, Magnet Release. She was too young to understand or train the power and as such had to simply suffer through long months of fatigue, partial paralysis, and seizures. Her parents watched her closely just as her father had been watched as a young boy in the Miyazato bloodline, eventually at the age of four and a half it was decided that Aoi was old enough to finally learn how to wield her families Kekkei Genkai and her father began the long process of teaching her to control her magnet release ability.

By the time she had turned six she had learned to control her magnet release, utilizing it only when needed instead of at random like she had suffered for so long as a child and was even able to dictate certain areas for the magnet release to take effect. Her parents seeing her use to their country enrolled her in the Shinobi Academy in Konohagakure, about three hours away from their shrine.

Aoi spent her time at the Academy being generally rambunctious as she was finally in a different environment and surrounded by kids for the first time in her life. In classes she did average and in training she performed about the same, owing her lack luster performance to the fact that her father hadn't actually taught her any of their bloodlines jutsu and only how to keep her magnet release under control. She would later graduate the Academy at the age of nine after three years of rowdy play with healthy amounts of hard work and practice thrown in here and there.

A genin in Team #, Aoi was eager to take on the world and show her might even if she didn't possess much to flaunt about. With her team for three more years Aoi would keep her wild attitude while consistently growing as a shinobi, even without the help of her families magnet release jutsu's Aoi began to figure out creative ways to wield her rare release and use it on missions. At the age of twelve her Jonin-sensei decided she was finally ready to attend the Chuunin exams hosted that same year. She failed horrendously after rushing into combat with a team of Lightning Country nin that quickly overwhelmed her and left her suspended above the ground for the duration of the set time limit of the first half of the exam.

Coming out of the exams Aoi steeled her resolve and began to practice twice as much as she had been, putting play behind her for the time being in order to prove to her team and her Jonin-sensei that she would be able to pass the next years exam. At her insistence her Jonin-sensei enrolled her in the next exam, which by a large amount of effort, a good amount of blood and bruises, and a rather stupendous amount of luck Aoi managed to pass and was promoted to Chuunin.

With a flak jacket on her shoulders and a burning devotion to prove that she was a worthy Chuunin Aoi was summoned back to her Shrine. There she was informed that her father had fallen seriously ill, and her little brother, Miko, was experiencing the same terrible childhood she had. Much to her dismay Aoi had to put her shinobi life on hold as she attempted to teach her little brother how to control his newly emerging magnet release as well as help her mother run the shrine and family onsen.

Three years have passed since Aoi was called back to aid her family. Aoi's father has made a full recovery from his ailment and her brother was trained to control his magnet release in the process. In her final year staying with her family Aoi was taught the Miyazato Hiden technique of Blood Boost by her father as well as a few other techniques before she packed her belongings and readied to leave the shrine.

For travelers at the Onsen brought rumors of ill-tidings across the ocean, political maneuvering taking place in the Lightning Country, seemingly unending unrest to the Southeast in Kirigakure, and unexplained disappearances and killings in the Empire itself. It was no time for shinobi to be playing family and Aoi was well aware it was about time she went back to work to protect her country as her family expected her to when they first enrolled her in the Academy.

The farther that the weapons get from Aoi the harder it is to control them as her magnetic field weakens over distance eventually becoming too weak to even manipulate the relatively light shuriken. Description:
Using the iron dust that Aoi carries on her, Aoi is able to use the filings themselves as a shield against incoming weapons and attacks. Depending on what is approaching her Aoi has the ability to compress the iron dust into very dense, practically solid metal objects to act as a shield or can leave the iron dust in it's mainly dust form if she must spread it out over a wider distance, for instance to block a fire release attack.
Weakness:
Aoi's effective use of this technique is entirely based on her ability to read and react to her opponent in time. If she notices too late it will take too long to defend herself with this technique. The iron dust when compressed only covers an area of about 30cm2​ and as such must be placed precisely to block incoming weapons, a tough feat to perfectly execute in combat. The iron dust when left out in a form similar to a large blanket to block attacks such as fire release can hold against the fire, dispersing it well over it's surface but if an enemy throws a weapon at the surface it will surely pierce it. Each form has an up and downside and a rather easy counter if an enemy can figure it out.

Using her Magnet Release, Aoi is able to attract her iron dust around her hands effectively encasing them in iron and hardening it to the point of being equivalent to other iron weapons. Using this technique Aoi is capable of grabbing and even parrying weapons with her hands as well as delivering extremely powerful blows with her fists as the gloves she's wearing are essentially solid iron.
Weakness:
The Iron Fists technique is only able to hold one "solid" form at a time and must be dispersed to change forms, meaning if Aoi wants to use her hands to do anything other than a fist she must release the hardening effect of the technique, leaving her hands covered in magnetic dust in order to create seals or use other weapons. When doing this she is not capable of blocking incoming attacks as they will pass directly through the non-hardened iron dust and hit her hands beneath. If Aoi misjudges a weapons path it is possible that she could end up with one less hand as the iron dust only extends a few millimeters past her wrists on both hands, due to this Aoi rarely uses the technique as a defensive option and sticks mainly to working on the offense with it.

Using the iron dust that Aoi carries on her, Aoi is able to lay a trap that she can then use to reach up and grab her enemies legs while simultaneously hardening the dust into the equivalent of solid iron, immobilizing the enemy making them easier to attack and defeat.
Weakness:
The effectiveness of Stalwart Anchor is entirely reliant on the enemies ability to fall into the trap and step on the iron dust that has been laid out. Simply dumping her iron dust in one spot would be too obvious, and as such Aoi must constantly move iron dust throughout the fight in order to gather enough in one area to effectively snag an enemy. A particularly observant enemy may notice iron dust as it moves across the ground and gathers in a single place which, or once it has gathered which will render the trap useless. Aoi must also use all of the iron dust she has on her if she is carrying her normal sized bag, which means she can't use it for anything else unless she is willing to give up on laying the trap.

Description:
A technique passed down within the Miyazato family for generations between those fortunate enough to possess Magnet Release. Blood Boost allows the user to influence the very blood in their bodies in combination with taijutsu. By exerting magnetic forces on her own blood Aoi is able to "pack" extra force into her taijutsu hits by moving her blood in conjunction with a hit (Like moving everyone to one side of a bus at the same time to make it tip).
Weakness:
The Blood Boost technique is entirely reliant on the users ability to focus their Magnet Release in an extremely specific extremity and only there. As well it has the ability to throw off the rest of the bodies normal functions if not utilized correctly, by shunting blood from organs and moving it opposite of the normal flow of blood vessels which with prolonged use (more than a few strikes without ample time in between to recover) can cause anything from extreme exhaustion, muscle degradation, syncope, loss of use of the effected limb for more than a day, and at its most extreme there are the possibilities of seizures that may repeat multiple times before subsiding.

With a flak jacket on her shoulders and a burning devotion to prove that she was a worthy Chuunin Aoi was summoned back to her Shrine. There she was informed that her father had fallen seriously ill, and her little brother, Miko, was experiencing the same terrible childhood she had. Much to her dismay Aoi had to put her shinobi life on hold as she attempted to teach her little brother how to control his newly emerging magnet release as well as help her mother run the shrine and family onsen.

Three years have passed since Aoi was called back to aid her family. Aoi's father has made a full recovery from his ailment and her brother was trained to control his magnet release in the process. In her final year staying with her family Aoi was taught the Miyazato Hiden technique of Blood Boost by her father as well as a few other techniques before she packed her belongings and readied to leave the shrine.

For travelers at the Onsen brought rumors of ill-tidings across the ocean, political maneuvering taking place in the Lightning Country, seemingly unending unrest to the Southeast in Kirigakure, and unexplained disappearances and killings in the Empire itself. It was no time for shinobi to be playing family and Aoi was well aware it was about time she went back to work to protect her country as her family expected her to when they first enrolled her in the Academy.

Depending on what is approaching her Aoi has the ability to compress the iron dust into very dense, practically solid metal objects to act as a shield or can leave the iron dust in it's mainly dust form if she must spread it out over a wider distance, for instance to block a fire release attack.
Weakness:
Aoi's effective use of this technique is entirely based on her ability to read and react to her opponent in time. If she notices too late it will take too long to defend herself with this technique. The iron dust when compressed only covers an area of about 30cm2​ and as such must be placed precisely to block incoming weapons, a tough feat to perfectly execute in combat. The iron dust when left out in a form similar to a large blanket to block attacks such as fire release can hold against the fire, dispersing it well over it's surface but if an enemy throws a weapon at the surface it will surely pierce it. Each form has an up and downside and a rather easy counter if an enemy can figure it out.

Weakness:
The Iron Fists technique is only able to hold one "solid" form at a time and must be dispersed to change forms, meaning if Aoi wants to use her hands to do anything other than a fist she must release the hardening effect of the technique, leaving her hands covered in magnetic dust in order to create seals or use other weapons. When doing this she is not capable of blocking incoming attacks as they will pass directly through the non-hardened iron dust and hit her hands beneath. If Aoi misjudges a weapons path it is possible that she could end up with one less hand as the iron dust only extends a few millimeters past her wrists on both hands, due to this Aoi rarely uses the technique as a defensive option and sticks mainly to working on the offense with it.

Simply dumping her iron dust in one spot would be too obvious, and as such Aoi must constantly move iron dust throughout the fight in order to gather enough in one area to effectively snag an enemy. A particularly observant enemy may notice iron dust as it moves across the ground and gathers in a single place which, or once it has gathered which will render the trap useless. Aoi must also use all of the iron dust she has on her if she is carrying her normal sized bag, which means she can't use it for anything else unless she is willing to give up on laying the trap.

As well it has the ability to throw off the rest of the bodies normal functions if not utilized correctly, by shunting blood from organs and moving it opposite of the normal flow of blood vessels which with prolonged use (more than a few strikes without ample time in between to recover) can cause anything from extreme exhaustion, muscle degradation, syncope, loss of use of the effected limb for more than a day, and at its most extreme there are the possibilities of seizures that may repeat multiple times before subsiding.

History:
Miyazato Aoi was born on a rather cold February day to her parents Miyazato Ichiro and Miyazato Mai. The first of two children born to the family, Aoi grew up running around the families shrine and Onsen located in the mountains a few hours North of Konohagakure causing general mischief and occasionally helping out her parents with their work maintaining the shrine itself and the hot-spring that was the families main source of income located a little bit higher up on the mountain.

As a child of just three Aoi began to suffer the consequences of her families Kekkei Genkai, Magnet Release. She was too young to understand or train the power and as such had to simply suffer through long months of fatigue, partial paralysis, and seizures. Her parents watched her closely just as her father had been watched as a young boy in the Miyazato bloodline, eventually at the age of four and a half it was decided that Aoi was old enough to finally learn how to wield her families Kekkei Genkai and her father began the long process of teaching her to control her magnet release ability.

By the time she had turned six she had learned to control her magnet release, utilizing it only when needed instead of at random like she had suffered for so long as a child and was even able to dictate certain areas for the magnet release to take effect. Her parents seeing her use to their country enrolled her in the Shinobi Academy in Konohagakure, about three hours away from their shrine.

Aoi spent her time at the Academy being generally rambunctious as she was finally in a different environment and surrounded by kids for the first time in her life. In classes she did average and in training she performed about the same, owing her lack luster performance to the fact that her father hadn't actually taught her any of their bloodlines jutsu and only how to keep her magnet release under control. She would later graduate the Academy at the age of nine after three years of rowdy play with healthy amounts of hard work and practice thrown in here and there.

A genin in Team #, Aoi was eager to take on the world and show her might even if she didn't possess much to flaunt about. With her team for three more years Aoi would keep her wild attitude while consistently growing as a shinobi, even without the help of her families magnet release jutsu's Aoi began to figure out creative ways to wield her rare release and use it on missions. At the age of twelve her Jonin-sensei decided she was finally ready to attend the Chuunin exams hosted that same year. She failed horrendously after rushing into combat with a team of Lightning Country nin that quickly overwhelmed her and left her suspended above the ground for the duration of the set time limit of the first half of the exam.

Coming out of the exams Aoi steeled her resolve and began to practice twice as much as she had been, putting play behind her for the time being in order to prove to her team and her Jonin-sensei that she would be able to pass the next years exam. At her insistence her Jonin-sensei enrolled her in the next exam, which by a large amount of effort, a good amount of blood and bruises, and a rather stupendous amount of luck Aoi managed to pass and was promoted to Chuunin.

The Hitaro lineage is about the guard Hitaro Hon, who was both a bodyguard and friend of Lord Tenzo Hon, who's descendants still rule over the city Ecla. While Hitaro is being described as an exceptional warrior who died fighting in the name and honour of his lord and friend, he eventually failed to protect Tenzo. This has caused the members of the Lineage to adopt Hitaro as the founder of their line. Not to find some prestige and glory of the brave ancestor, but to remind themselves what their ancestor failed to do so and now even to this day various members of the Hitaro lineage aim to win the favour of Hitaro by protecting the life of their ruler and friends to the bitter end.

Appearance:
Iroh Hon is a man who's appearance does the talking for him. A stern gaze is plastered on his face as various scars are visible. The most prominent one being the scar that runs from the top of his forehead down to his right cheek. His eight scar gained in the Great War, fighting against the invasion force of the Water Country. Next to his toned build, the result of the countless hours of training and dedication to his profession, there are various tattoos that Iroh has.

Personality:
Iroh isn't a man of many words. He is the type of person that prefers to remain silent and observes rather than to speak and take the spot. If he is forced to talk, he rather tends to keep things simple and honest. Which has caused some to appreciate him while others, who don't feel comfortable with this approach, have a grown disdain for this short procedure. While his lineage isn't a noble one, Iroh does take great pride and has a lot of care and love for what his lineage stands for. This marks it clear that he won't his forsake duty, even with the risk of death, and considers those who take their duty lightly nothing but the worst scum imaginable. While the term of honour isn't that present, as sensing the need to defend the weak, Iroh feels quite privileged ever since he was recruited into the Sworn Swords. Though the man has little love or concern for most people and clans, it is clear to many of his serving brothers and sisters of the Sworn Sword that he will go great lengths to see them fulfilling their oaths.

History:
Iroh's family is one of warriors. So is the collective history of his lineage. And so is the general image of his clan. This has always pushed Iroh and his siblings to strive to obtain great martial prowess. Born and raised in Ecla, Iroh started his childhood under the tutelage of his father, Trud Hon. His father being a warrior in service of the House of Ecla, taught his son everything he knew. Inspired by the tales of kin and what his ancestor stood for, Iroh was the most driven of his sibling. Dabbling into some ninjutsu, he was considered to be recruited into the service of the Grey Guard. Surprisingly, however, he would decline the invitation as he strived to become one of the guards of the Jarl of Rachon. Rising up early in the morning, Iroh would bath himself in his sweat and gain many bruises from attempting to master many martial skills.

These would eventually be put to the test as the Great War dawned. The House of Ecla wouldn't send many forces to aid in the conflict. This led to some disappointment of Iroh, who desired to carve some renown and use it for his ambition of becoming a guard of his jarl - much like the founder of his lineage. But soon enough, the conflict would find its way towards the lands of the jarldom of Ecla. A large invasion force of the Water country made progress into the heartlands of the Hon clan. Being halted at Magnhild, the foreign invaders attempted to lay a siege in order to conquer and occupy the city. The forces that the jarl of Ecla held back, would be rallied and send to aid their fellow Hon in the siege. The unit in which Iroh served was one of the first to arrive at the city before the foreign invaders could encircle the city.

There Iroh fought with everything he had. He saw many of his serving friends die in pitched battles on the walls and during night raids. Youth friends who he had shared a strong bond with, their souls being collected by the Valvravens to then be carried to the afterlife. It wore Iroh somewhat down in spirit but not enough to cause him to break. During the entire siege, he fought like a madman. It is said by some who know of his history that it was a near impossible task to keep the man away from fighting at the front of every clash of arms. Fighting with the will and strength of a dozen men, Iroh started to gain the renown he sought. After the Great War, he was recruited within the guard of the Jarl of Ecla. As he thought that would be the proudest day of his life, it wouldn't go well afterwards.

Once the Great War had been concluded, the leadership of the Hon clan went to Katsuro Hon. A strong leader, that valued a more conservative approach. Through harsh rule, Katsuro managed to keep an iron grip on the clan. Eventually plotting and executing a large raid on the Nimatsu clan, hoping to introduce the practice of raiding other people back into the Hon clan. Iroh was part of that large raid. Leading personally the send warriors and fighters of Ecla, he fought without restraints. The Nimatsu expertise with fighting was one that demanded respect and perhaps even admiration but Iroh still managed to take down many, which increased his reputation among his kin and clan. Sparing neither those who fought, with either steel or chakra, or those who attempted to flee from the violence, he earned the moniker 'The Butcher'. As the estate and city of the Nimatsu clan would see flames and destruction, the blood that Iroh shed would lead to that Katsuro attempted to make the man a member of his personal guard. Something that could be considered as a great honour, to serve the clan leader's personal hird, but Iroh would decline. He wasn't, like many, a big fan of Katsuro. Respecting the leader, he stated that his place was within Ecla and thus he would continue to serve the jarl of Ecla for a long time. During this time, Iroh didn't ever stop training and attempting to hone his skills further.

This proved to be quite valuable during the Shoji Oppression. When the forces of Shoji were sent to lay siege to Magnhild, Iroh was once more send with a force of Ecla to defend the fortress city. There he met various people, such as Hiroshi Hon and Kiyomi Sato-Hon. Fighting as he had before, Iroh would show no mercy for those who served Shoji and his ideals. Once the siege was done, Iroh would return to Ecla once more.

The rise of the Empire of Akino saw little interest to Iroh. Not one with a great interest in politics, there would be a change that Iroh couldn't ignore. Word of his skill and reputation reached far enough that an invitation would be sent for him, to become part of the Sworn Swords. Hesitant at first, Iroh would eventually accept. Not because he saw a chance to make his lineage gain more prestige or personally see himself in a more renowned military detachment but because of curiosity. Having witnessed first hand at the Shoji siege of Magnhild, Iroh wanted to learn more about Kiyomi. Being one of the lieutenants of the Sworn Swords and even becoming the second-in-command of the royal guard, Iroh started to learn more of the young ruler. His curiosity would slowly warp into a sense of strong duty, mixed with admiration and love.

Weapons/Items
Name of Weapon or Item:
Iroh Hon's Sworn Sword gear.
Description:
Being the second in command of the Sworn Swords and a man of great martial expertise and experience, Iroh has the privilege of his own personal gear. Armour made by Hyuzu smiths and of the finest material, it is both designed to offer great protection but not to hinder the movement of Iroh in battle or service. Various Hon motives are engraved within the boiled leather and hardened steel, while chainmail and padding are worn underneath it. As weapons of choice, it will be odd to see the man without one of his favorite blades.

Dreyrugr (meaning 'blood-stained') and Halda (meaning 'hold (v); hold fast, grip; keep; steer; protect; last, hold good, remain'). Dreygur was the sword of Iroh's father and while in origin being a normal steel blade, the blade saw new life after being treated by the Hyuzu clan. The steel hasn't been (re)shaped to conduct chakra better but to make certain it is more endurable than how it was before. Halda is a more recent blade that has the ability to conduct chakra much better than regular steel. While Iroh is capable of handling different weapons, he dislikes the idea of being seperated with his 'favorites'.

Description:
Though not being educated or trained as a shinobi, Iroh has two sets of knives. One pouch that in which he stores small and thin knives that are designed for throwing while he has a different set that is more proficient in close combat use. Next, to that he has a small pouch within he stores various small scrolls for the use of his sealing ninjutsu.

To change the pace, I managed to find something that might prove to be quite entertaining. A fair warning though, my writing wasn't on par with what it is today - or so, that is how I view it after reading it again.

The Interview of Gerontis, 23/11/12

The RP is over half a decade old. Advanced much further and better than what it was at the start. Some of you know my opinion of how the RP started. I actually, perhaps contrary to popular belief, don't regret setting it up with the past Co-Head GM that goes by the name Vuur in the RP. He was a bit rough and harsh but he had good intentions for the RP. For those who aren't that long part of the RP, he and I had a falling out. Eventually, he left after a year or so. I started to reform the RP and made it grow and stay stable. Even to the point that it continued to stay stable and ongoing while I had some issues to deal with in my personal life.

But really, I have seen this RP started out as a group of disgruntled players. The fun thing is that the origin story of New Generations isn't one of friendship and love. It basically of pure selfish desires. Sound like a summary of a generic drama story? Well, it basically is. The thing is that I started this RP when I became unhappy in a most generic Naruto RP. I was there with various other players who got tired of how the GM became inactive and just how everything was so overpowered. It was, in essence, most Naruto themed or focused RP's that we know or have seen. On a Friday night, I came home from going out. Somewhat tipsy I spoke with a fellow that I knew for years and was also in that respective Naruto RP.

Motivated by frustration, some alcohol and the desire to see if I could help out some people I started to round up those who were done with the inactive style of GM'ing. Starting thus New Generations. Was it successful from the get go? Ooooh, not at all. I was quite soft and acceptive. Which sounds great for the player base but it would become horrible. I had big trouble to settle differences among the players. Things would start to heat up and when I eventually decided that I had to become a bit harder, things started to grow out of control. Leading that discussions and petty behaviour rose up in the first GM team. Making me decide to reform the GM team, which saw the co-Head GM leave the GM team. Things wouldn't go well but the Roleplay survived and continued. Slowly over time, it would see problem players and incidents that had to be addressed. On certain nights I was busy writing away a long post on that I would leave or drop from my position as Head GM. Stress and guilt can do quite the strange things to the mind, allow me to inform you of that! After some more reforms, the RP became what it is now.

But as I kept seeing the trend on how New Generations survived and surpassed any Naruto RP, I was certain that something was going well. The fact that the Roleplay enjoys and is blessed with such fantastic people that sticked around. People that want to write a great story together. I think that I have expressed it over various moments in time of the roleplay, but I truly feel proud of what the Roleplays has achieved and done. I am happy for those who are around, both newcomers and veterans.

There is only one way that I can think off that can conclude this monologue.

Thank you all for your patience. Thanks for your time. Thanks for your devotion. I am super happy that you are here and part of this family. Cause at this point I really don't know what I would be doing if you guys weren't around. Squabbling as some of you might do, I don't feel any regret for spending so much time and love into this roleplay.

Here is to hoping to more years for the roleplay but more importantly for me: More years together. All of you are superb people that I am glad to know, write, game and chat with. Know that it isn't my keen and wise leadership. My amazing charms and wit that has made the Roleplay great.

Now, I have been working on to gather some links to the old posts of the previous celebrations of New Generations reaching a milestone. Sadly, I haven't been able to gather them but don't despair. It will be soon shared.
 
This simply cause I am slightly finding this certain game called Darkest Dungeon quite fun and after making a New Gen team of characters, I decided to share this amazing campaign with you. It is a Lovecraft themed game where combat is turn based. It isn't an easy game and the mortality is quite high as the enemies don't tend to be the forgiving kind. This is merely for entertainment purposes and is irrelevant to the story or any of the characters of the Roleplay.

(YES, I NAMED IT SERIOUSLY THAT!)

It is the 46th week after the start of the campaign against the evil that stalks these lands. The entire campaign has been somewhat of a success. Slowly the forces under the leadership of Gerontis have led to a decrease of the madness and terror that stalk the lands. Paving, hopefully, sooner or later a way to the darkest dungeon where the heart of the evil resides. Many areas are under threat or held hostage of the swelling corruption. Twisted beasts and men alike are drawn to these parts of the land or brought forth from the old Bearo Estate. At the same time, this danger and corruption have seen a flock of all kind of figures. Some anxious to make a name, slaying the biggest of monsters. Others hoping to venture into the dangerous areas, desiring a glorious death. Others simply deciding to join the ongoing struggle against the vile evil, so that it won't start to encompass the world.

The start was a bitter struggle. Leading various expeditions into the dark and terrible blighted land, Gerontis would eventually appoint a team of some brave and veteran fighters to venture into the Ruins. A region that is filled with many walking undead and cultists, stalking those dark paths with a craving for blood. Dark altars have been built, strengthen the unholy covenant that binds the walking dead to the world of the living.

It was time to do something about it.

For the task of dealing with the Necromancer Lord, Gerontis was making preparations with a few others heroes. Thus unable to take down the altars of death and unholy energy, he would delegate this task to Master David and three other veterans of strife and glory.

Under the strict supervision of Master David, the expedition was prepared with the required provisions. Tools that would aid them in their terrible quest were bagged. Once everything was ready, they departed towards the ruins where previous expeditions had marked the likelihood of the unholy altars. The path into the dark ruins and halls started with the eerie silence and stench that reigned supreme. This silence would be driven away by the sounds of the group of heroes, anxious to get their task done.
The journey started with the formation of the team. Master David decided that the best formation would be if both Roran and Alice would be in the front, seeing their skills and eagerness for a good fight. Though their causes being quite different. Staying a bit more at the back, Master David would hope that he could keep defending the occulist Jason.

Entering the first path to the west, the team would make a good but cautious pace into the darkness. Encountering a closed cupboard, the first mishap would occur upon the heroes. Driven by desires, Roran would decide upon himself to act instead of waiting for Alice to open the cupboard with a key.

David, Jason and Alice were alarmed by the hard creaking and grinding of the old gears, triggering the trap that laid in wait within the furniture. Barely in time did Roran manage to avoid getting a rusty iron blade thrust into him. Annoyed and frustrated, the other heroes would berate and judge the mistake of the crusader. Venturing further, the mishap had nearly been forgotten until the soft mumbling of the crusader resonated from within the steel helmet, as the group reached near a few knapsacks.

Before any of the others could stop and bring Roran Hawkins to a halt, the crusader had already moved forth. Closing in the distance, the armoured and gloved hands of the eager man searched the sacks. Hoping to find treasures or some worth to make the expedition more worthwhile in terms of wealth, lost within the ruins, the effort wouldn't be rewarded in a positive manner.
Feeling the strong pull of a hand at his right shoulder, Roran already concluded that somebody else had looted the sacks. Probably cultists. Pulled by Alice as both Jason and David berated him, the guilty crusader promised that he would not pull a similar action anymore during the expedition. Various grumblings would be the retort of the other three heroes as they continued on.

Soon enough the brave heroes had to dig and climb into various halls to continue their perilous travel. No resistance in forms of undead or cultists had yet crossed the path of the four mighty fighters. Only the cold stone and cold darkness remained as an obstacle.
Reaching another hall, the four heroes would approach what seemed to be an iron maiden. Eager to see what wealth could be stored inside the cruel and rusty object, Roran would feel a hard pull. Alice the Helion made quick work to keep the crusader from investigating and possibly setting off another trap in the process. Only after a small discussion was it decided that Roran Hawkins was allowed to use one of the medical herbs to cleanse the inside of the iron maiden, in search for valuable riches.

The task didn't take long. While Roran occupied himself in an almost zealous manner with his work, the others made certain to stand guard in case any wandering band of undead or cultist would appear. Soon enough Roran would alert the others of his find.

The meagre amount of wealth wasn't unwelcome but Master David didn't see the need to sacrifice valuable instruments and resources for a meagre sum of wealth. Disappointed, Roran wouldn't object as they would venture on. Soon after leaving the iron maiden behind them, soft sounds were ignored. Sounds that would herald the impending threat that the heroes were walking straight into. Cracking bones, moving with an unholy and vile intent, would lay an ambush on the group. Though numbered less than the adventuring heroes, the undead would prove that they lacked fear for being slain.

Unprepared as they were, the surprise didn't seem to linger long. Already holding their weapons at the ready, the four heroes would withstand the charge and attacks of the unholy beings that should have stayed dead.
The fight would start with Master David readying his mace, a heroic sight to behold.

Soon enough the few undeads would face the wrath of their heroes. Jason would bring the undead armed with a crossbow into the front, disabling the foe from attempting to fire its bolt in one of the four heroes.

This would provoke the most armoured and armed undead to charge forwards. The cracking of bones and clanking of old metal would be held back by a steel glaive. In a fell and swift swoop, Alice would move forwards as her deadly weapon would drive the undead foe backwards.

The fight was soon over as the four heroes showed what they were made off. Once the dust had settled and it was confirmed that the dead wouldn't rise again, Master David would signal that they had to continue before more foes would muster towards the recent site of violence.
Reaching a hall, an alien feeling flowed over the few heroes. in the middle of the room stood a large black rock. The first of the dark altars of unholy power had been found. Quickly Alice would grasp one of the flasks in which the Holy Water, blessed by the Abbot and various rituals. Nearing the unholy shrine, the Helion would make quick work of the dreadful presence that flowed from it.

Shortly silence dawned in the room as the group stared at what they just had achieved. Eager to put an end to their task, now that they had dealt with one of the damned shrines, they would leave the hall. Unaware of the danger that had followed them since the last fight.
The morale high with their recent success, the team of heroes would shortly be brought to a halt as a venomous cold reached them. Alarmed by this sudden presence, Master David recognised the danger. As he sternly commanded the others to ready for a fight, a most morbid and ominous sight would greet the heroes.

A Collector stared down at the gathered heroes in front of him. a King in Yellow, a Desecrator of Graves and Bodies, a Beheader of Corpses, a Taker of Heads. The terrible presence as various faint and disturbing sounds could be heard from underneath the long and large cloak. Soon the uneasy peace would be cut short. Mumbling the required phrase while raising his weapon of choice, a bleached skull, towards the dreadful presence, Jason would invoke a curse upon the Collector as the being was about to widen his cloak with his twisted hands.

The curse didn't seem to physically hurt the being much as it still opened its cloak. A cold wind passed the area as various weirdly shaped creatures flowed out of the shadow of the Collector's cloak. Floating heads with only spines, eyes filled with malice and resentment towards the living.
A fierce battle cry would herald the fast and deadly sweep of steel. Swinging her glaive, Alice would bring one of the heads down. The strike slashed the head from the spine in one vicious strike. With the malicious summoning brought down, the Helion would threaten the Collector as she readied herself for another attack.

As a grim response, the Collector would grasp his cloak with one of his hands as he leaned forward. In a rapid movement, the large Eldritch figure would reveal what was hidden by the cloak. The wailing of captive heads and souls would be audible, the sight most horrible.

While the Collector seemed to engage Alice the Helion and Roran the Crusader, one of the summoned creatures attempted to reach Jason. It moved fast and with ill intent. Only to be stopped by the armoured veteran that was in charge of the group. A shriek would be followed as the weird creature would lash out, a strange blue hue glowing as it stretched out towards its foe, Master David.
Catching the heavy blow, the fierce combatant wouldn't just roll over. With the summoned creature close by, Master David would retaliate with an equally vicious attack of his own. The steel rim of Master David's shield would be rammed into the summoning's head, slamming it backwards. Twitching as it fell down, the summoned creature briefly attempted to get up. Only to be crushed by Master David's boot, firmly coming down top of the forehead of the summoning.

The battle fiercely continued with neither sides having a victory certain. The heroes managed to bring down many summonings while the Collector starting to tire and catch some off guard. Just as Roran Hawkins managed to stab and take the live of a summoned creature, Jason would cast an attack on the Collector himself. Tendrils of red energy lashed out, wounding and angering the Collector.
Before the occultist could find any cover the Collector moved forward as its summonings occupied the other heroes. Pointing towards Jason, the dreadful adversary would glow brighter. The magic that lashed out, grabbing hold of Jason would feel as if his very life essence was being torn away from him. Attempting to resist against the agonising attack, Jason managed to use his own magic to push the Collector backwards but being too late as the Collector seemed to have replenish himself from various inflicted wounds with the stolen energy.

Soon enough the Collector would make a second attempt of stealing away energy from the opposing heroes. As Master David fought off a summoning, the master at arms noticed the movement that headed towards him. Turning around, the towering presence of the Collector would prove to be intimidating. Or so, that was what the dreadful foe hoped for as it tried to grab essence of the leader of the heroes. Stepping quickly aside, the shield of Master David would be slammed into the Collector. The powerful blow would send the Collector reeling backwards, followed by a taunt of the brave hero to test his reflexes once more.

Enraged the Collector would summon forth more of his wicked servants. Attempting to replenish his own twisted energy and rid himself of his wounds, the desperate entity was hoping that Master David wouldn't notice the approach. The twisted aura that the King in Yellow used to paralyze his victims would alert the master at arms. Just at the last moment, Master David would move aside for the terrible grasp of the Collector. Shouting loud, the sound of shattering bones and iron would ring through the air as the morbid presence of the Collector would ebb away, slammed down to the ground.

Thrumpiant cheers would follow suit as the summonings were without their dreaded master. Still attempting to avenger their twisted and fallen master, the summonings charged forwards. The foul creatures would not last long as the demise of the Collector gave new hope to the few heroes that would erdicate the last of the summonings. The last blow would be dealt to a summoning that had attempted to flee, only to be caught by Roran Hawkins. In a swift blow, the crusader would smite the summoning in a powerful strike in half.

Once the threat had been dealt with, little remained on the path of the heroes to stop them from fulling their quest. A few skirmish took place with the undead and cultist but with the waning power of the unholy altars or the Collector's power, they soon fell for the fierce adventurers.
Victorious and bolstered by their achievement, Master David would continue to lead the troop into further action. Cleansing the small section entirely of any hostile threat, they would leave the ruins. Carrying many riches and trophies of their expedition into the dark ruins.

So i want to join this rp but do i need to read through every wiki or whatever you call it (im a newbie don't judge). Or do i just need to read some spesific ones
 
Hi and welcome! We're always happy to have new people.

You definitely do not need to read through the whole Wikia to get started in this RP! I will refer you to this page to help you get going on your first character. It will detail the character sheet and provide handy links for things you might want to look up. Currently Konoha and Kumogakure are quite filled up, but there is ample room in both Amegakure and Kirigakure. As the page I refered you to earlier states, it might be nice to read up on the history of the place you are joining and get a feel for how things have transpired differently here than in the Naruto canon.

If you have any questions regarding lore, clans (especially if you want to join one of the existing clans), history, the current affairs or anything else to help you get started, don't hesitate to ask any of the GMs. (I'll be on holiday for two days, but the rest should still be available either here or through PM).

    Personality:
    Chika is known by her colleagues and underlings as a trustworthy and sympathetic person, which is a rare combination to see in a spy. While it's not unreasonable to suspect, as many do, that this behaviour is a facade, she truly is a sincere person. This allowed her to become very likeable among her peers. She's eloquent and well-educated, if not a bit snobbish. Her literacy brings with it some strong convictions about her vision of the world and how it should be.

    As a friend, she's loyal and caring, perhaps even worrying too much about her friends and loved ones at times. And as a leader, she's not very different. She's very protective of her underlings: She doesn't hesitate to send them into risky situations for them to grow, but she never willingly puts them in a position where they would be a pawn sacrifice. In these kinds of situations, she has been known to go herself either to bail someone out or do some important jobs herself. While her attitude was criticized by her predecesor for being ineffective, this behaviour has nurtured a much more loyal generation of covert operatives working as members of Amegakure Covert Operations Division.

    In a fight, she rarely changes her general tone. She's usually carefree, but that carefreeness shouldn't be mistaken for incompetence. It's because she doesn't have much difficulty in most combat situations that she can be seen as inattentive. So when she's fighting, in most cases she can still be her protective self without sacrificing her own safety as much as most warriors would have to.

    History:
    Chika was as fortunate as anyone could be at birth. She was born into a wealthy family and was a rare talent among even her own family members. Her mother was the daughter of a diplomat from a city far south and a kunoichi of the east, and her father, a war veteran with an influential name and his own strong reputation. As a child, she grew up in Nakamura Clan's village, in the River Province. Both of her parents were shinobi in their youths, and wanted more than anything for their daughter to follow in their footsteps to uphold the honor of their family name. It wasn't long before her education in combat and ninjutsu started. Instead of sending her to the academy, however, they trained her with the Nakamura guard's trainees. However, she seemed more interested in her studies than she was in laying out her competition with toy swords and spears. She spent many an hour at the library, often skipping practice.

    Her father was more welcoming of this than her mother, which was a surprise to anyone who knew them. Ihei was known as the gentler one of the two, while Take was seen as the strict and cruel commander he was once. However, he was more than glad that his daughter was acruing knowledge the way she was, despite at first wishing for his child to be the kind of warrior he was. Over the years, his demeanor softened thanks to his time spent with the most precious thing he had: his daughter.

    Ihei, on the other hand, was not so understanding. She withdrew Chika from the training the guard was taking and personally began teaching her. Her lessons were significantly more brutal, and Chika no longer dared skip her lessons after the first time she had under Ihei's tutelage. Once she reached the age of thirteen, her father arranged for her to go to Hanaguro where she could work under one of her aunt's friends. Despite Ihei's objections, Take did not permit her to follow her daughter, invoking his rule of his clan.

    In Hanaguro, Chika moved in to live with a middle-aged woman with a strange name, and an even stranger accent. Sophia was an author of sorts, writing in daily publications in the city. Despite her age, she spent much of her time outside, even late at night. Meanwhile, Chika went to a school with many people from backgrounds like hers. Without exception, they all came from wealthy families. There were different cliques in the school. The students often fought among themselves in bloody brawls over their ideologies and differences. Chika had been quick to befriend the other students, yet these brief bonds proved weak as most of her fellows cut them off upon learning she had befriended the "others". Over time, she grew close to a few people in the back seats in class, some young idealogues. Their ideaologies never betrayed their wealth.

    During the first winter break, Chika was able to spend time at Sophia's house during the weekdays, when she'd normally be at school. During the day in the weekends, Sophia was usually home, so it seemed strange to Chika that Sophia didn't seem to come home almost at all during the week. One monday morning, she trailed her. Sophia went to her office early in the morning with a bag. She stayed there for four hours until she left with a young man and some notebooks. The two went to a coffee house first, each of them ordering a small cup of coffee, and spread their files and papers all over the small round table, sifting through the notes. They worked there for hours even after their coffee's were done. At one point, someone came inside to meet with them, but they got up and prompted their new companion to leave with them. They walked with quick steps, going a full cycle around the block once and then going through an alleyway. They went into what seemed like an abandoned home, with its crooked door and stench.

    As Chika walked through the door, she heard a sort of war cry accompanied by the sound of wood pushing air. "Take that!" As the wooden stick swung over her head after a quick twist of her own hip, she quickly caught the swinging hand and pinned its wielder on the ground before she heard a familiar voice. "Mikito!"

    The student looked over at her host. She looked down at the man quitely whining and trying to break free with his wrist twisted in her palm. A look of realization came to her face as she quickly let go and got up to her feet. "Oh...! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be so rough," she said apologetically.

    With a look of shock plastered across her face, Sophia spoke up. "Chika? What are you doing here?" she said. With her anger, her accent grew thicker. "Were you the one following us?" Her anger turned to a wary curiosity. The man who joined them in the cafe spoke from behind Sophia. "Oh gods, they know I came to you! I knew this was a mistake!" The slender man seemed paranoid, fidgeting and looking around frantically. "OH GOD THEY'RE GOING TO KILL ME! THEY--" Sophia turned to the man and landed a loud slap on his cheek. "Calm yourself! If you're not quiet, they will indeed," she said with a loud whisper. "She's my protegé. No one's coming to get you, Yusa."

    Mikito got to his feet with a stumble, swinging his hand around his wrist. "Ow... What kind of kid does that?"

    "What kind of adult tries to hit a kid with a wooden stick?" Chika retorted sarcastically.

    "Chika! Why are you here?"

    Chika turned to Sophia, a rather shameful look on her face. "Um... Well, you weren't home the entire week, last time, so I was curious," she said, averting her eyes. "I didn't mean to scare you, really!"

    Mikito, Yusa, and Sophia shared a look among themselves. "How long have you been following us?" Sophia asked.

    "Since... Since this morning."

    "Since morning? You've been tailing her since daybreak?"

    Chika gave a shy nod as the group's demeanor changed. Sophia turned to Yusa.

    "Yusa, I want to talk to you briefly," she said, putting her hand on the young, malnourished man's shoulder. She turned to Mikito as she took a step to the back room. "Mikito, take Chika upstairs and away from the windows."

    Sophia brought Chika with her. At first, she had decided when she took her in not to get her to work with her in this way, despite Take's reccomendation of taking Chika with her on the small ventures she went to. However, she could see now that Take wasn't just being a rough father and forcing her child into a dangerous situation. Chika interviewed Yusa there, who apparently once worked for the Inagawa, a clan allegedly involved in criminal activities. A family that had been the focus of Sophia's investigation for some years.

    When school started again, Chika began leaving during some recess and class periods to help Sophia in her investigation. She was especially helpful when it came down to retreiving information without being noticed, be it through genjutsu or through retrieving of physical evidence.

    Towards the end of Chika's third year, Sophia published her findings, shortly after being hospitalized after a gruesome assault on the street. While Chika was supposed to leave for home, she remained with Chika for the remainder of the year. Once the family's largest players were jailed and brought to court, Chika said her reluctant good-byes to her friends and her mentor. She returned home, where she found her father grown impossibly soft and happy, while her mother had become cold and distant. Just during the first few months, Chika and Ihei began fighting, particularly over the books Chika had brought back as gifts from Sophia and how Ihei had burned them all up, yelling nonsensically about her own father and sister. It didn't take long before Chika left home again.

    She went to Amegakure, where her father had arranged for her to apply for a job in the military, strangely enough. It was more than a little unexpected for this radically politically opinionated young woman to want to join the military, but her father wasn't going to argue against her on this. Despite not having gone to the Amegakure Academy, she was able to sign up for a test to join the ANBU thanks to the strings her father pulled. The examination itself, however, was an unadeltarated test of skill. The examiners were impressed enough, however, that she earned a place in a combat-oriented squad.

    Her skill increased greatly over the years. At one point, her record shows that she left the ANBU and became a jounin, but she neither had her own team nor did she have any outstanding accomplishments written on her record after her transition. In reality, she was appointed to Amegakure's Covert Operations Division, a group that split off from the ANBU some time ago to become a more specialized intelligence organization. Unlike the zero squads, however, they still were required to be on the level of regular ANBU in combat, but did not sport masks or uniforms. For all intents and purposes, the ACOD did not exist.

    She succeeded the former leader when he retired. This pasiing of the torch signified a great change in the organization itself, as its behaviour towards the people and its own members changed greatly along with the sorts of missions they would do. ACOD rarely did assassination missions anymore, but mostly focused on intelligence gathering and subterfuge.

    These knives are coated with poison that disrupts chakra flow of the poisoned for a minute, leaving them unable to use ninjutsu for one minute. Repetitive infliction builds long-term resistence to the poison (2nd use afflicts for 30 seconds, 3rd use, 15, 4th, 5 seconds, and after the 5th, the effect is no longer felt). If ninjutsu is attempted, the chakra will be wasted with no output. (x5)

    These knives are coated with poison that boosts the adrenaline of whoever it affects and throws them into a violent frenzy for one minute. Similarly to the other poison, its duration goes down at the same rate after repeted uses. (x5)

      Weakness: In order to use TEM, the user has to isolate a tenth of their chakra, making it unusable for other techniques until the technique is dispelled. If the user's chakra is drained, TEM will dispel automatically, making the user vulnerable again.

      Weakness: This technique blocks attempts to draw information from the target's mind, but it doesn't block genjutsu that affects the mind.

So if it's used on a rising earth wall, the wall will stop moving and the earth/water fifteen meters away from this point will become unusable.
      Weakness: This technique requires a sort of uninterrupted contact with the point the technique was used on and its surroundings. So, if the user casts it on a stone, and the stone is up in the air, then the only thing that can't be used for techniques would be the stone itself, even if there is earth around it within range.

      Description: Chika alters her own body's structure using chakra in order to form more malleable and damaging constructs. These alterations give the altered parts a purple hue and scaled texture. They can grow up to a meter in length and flatten thinly to cut better. The sharper it gets, the more it condenses and hardens, but also less malleable. These changes can be made quickly, but the more intricate the change, the longer it takes.
      Weakness: While altered and condensed forms can't be destroyed so easily, when it's malleable, it can take damage almost as easily as un-armored skin. If one of the altered forms is cut off, the remaining part has to be grown back with chakra before it can return to the real form, and a great amount of chakra is lost already when it's cut off from the rest of the body.

      Description: This technique forms a white, semi-transparent spherical barrier around the user to block incoming attacks. When it comes into contact with chakra based attacks, it drains the chakra and passes it to the user. This technique's radius can grow up to three meters to envelop allies or items of interest. This technique works best to counter techniques that might have a wider spread or a longer and more destructive time for use, in order to fuel up on chakra.
      Weakness: The user has to keep the bird sign up. The same way attacks from the outside are blocked, so are those from the inside, so allies cannot use this protection to counter-attack.

It uses up a small amount of chakra, but over extended periods of time (minutes) the drained chakra accumulates greatly.
      Weakness: Unlike most barrier techniques, this can't be used to block entry or exit from one side to the other. The user does not have an inherent advantage.

      Type of Jutsu: Genjutsu

      Description: This interrogation technique is very effective and difficult to resist relatively to other kinds of mind-reading techniques. It can break through most genjutsu barriers over multiple uses, and if it fails to, it simply puts strain on its target's mind in order to tire its defenses. If successful, this technique puts the target in a state where they are compelled to impulsively answer questions truthfully almost unconsciously, shutting down the ability to lie. If resisted for long enough, this technique can leave effects of delirium even after it's no longer used for durations as long as days to months.
      Weakness: Unlike most techniques of this kind, it has no subtlety. It cannot be used secretly without the awareness of its target. The use of this technique doesn't control the target, implant ideas, or even read ideas unlike some other techniques of this kind, but simply compells the target to answer questions truthfully.

Without exception, they all came from wealthy families. There were different cliques in the school. The students often fought among themselves in bloody brawls over their ideologies and differences. Chika had been quick to befriend the other students, yet these brief bonds proved weak as most of her fellows cut them off upon learning she had befriended the "others". Over time, she grew close to a few people in the back seats in class, some young idealogues. Their ideaologies never betrayed their wealth.

    During the first winter break, Chika was able to spend time at Sophia's house during the weekdays, when she'd normally be at school. During the day in the weekends, Sophia was usually home, so it seemed strange to Chika that Sophia didn't seem to come home almost at all during the week. One monday morning, she trailed her. Sophia went to her office early in the morning with a bag. She stayed there for four hours until she left with a young man and some notebooks. The two went to a coffee house first, each of them ordering a small cup of coffee, and spread their files and papers all over the small round table, sifting through the notes. They worked there for hours even after their coffee's were done. At one point, someone came inside to meet with them, but they got up and prompted their new companion to leave with them. They walked with quick steps, going a full cycle around the block once and then going through an alleyway. They went into what seemed like an abandoned home, with its crooked door and stench.

As the wooden stick swung over her head after a quick twist of her own hip, she quickly caught the swinging hand and pinned its wielder on the ground before she heard a familiar voice. "Mikito!"

    The student looked over at her host. She looked down at the man quitely whining and trying to break free with his wrist twisted in her palm. A look of realization came to her face as she quickly let go and got up to her feet. "Oh...! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be so rough," she said apologetically.

    With a look of shock plastered across her face, Sophia spoke up. "Chika? What are you doing here?" she said. With her anger, her accent grew thicker. "Were you the one following us?" Her anger turned to a wary curiosity. The man who joined them in the cafe spoke from behind Sophia. "Oh gods, they know I came to you! I knew this was a mistake!" The slender man seemed paranoid, fidgeting and looking around frantically. "OH GOD THEY'RE GOING TO KILL ME! THEY--" Sophia turned to the man and landed a loud slap on his cheek. "Calm yourself! If you're not quiet, they will indeed," she said with a loud whisper. "She's my protegé. No one's coming to get you, Yusa."

    Mikito got to his feet with a stumble, swinging his hand around his wrist. "Ow... What kind of kid does that?"

    "What kind of adult tries to hit a kid with a wooden stick?" Chika retorted sarcastically.

    "Chika! Why are you here?"

    Chika turned to Sophia, a rather shameful look on her face. "Um... Well, you weren't home the entire week, last time, so I was curious," she said, averting her eyes. "I didn't mean to scare you, really!"

    Mikito, Yusa, and Sophia shared a look among themselves. "How long have you been following us?" Sophia asked.

    "Since... Since this morning."

    "Since morning? You've been tailing her since daybreak?"

    Chika gave a shy nod as the group's demeanor changed. Sophia turned to Yusa.

    "Yusa, I want to talk to you briefly," she said, putting her hand on the young, malnourished man's shoulder. She turned to Mikito as she took a step to the back room. "Mikito, take Chika upstairs and away from the windows."

    When school started again, Chika began leaving during some recess and class periods to help Sophia in her investigation. She was especially helpful when it came down to retreiving information without being noticed, be it through genjutsu or through retrieving of physical evidence.

    Towards the end of Chika's third year, Sophia published her findings, shortly after being hospitalized after a gruesome assault on the street. While Chika was supposed to leave for home, she remained with Chika for the remainder of the year. Once the family's largest players were jailed and brought to court, Chika said her reluctant good-byes to her friends and her mentor. She returned home, where she found her father grown impossibly soft and happy, while her mother had become cold and distant. Just during the first few months, Chika and Ihei began fighting, particularly over the books Chika had brought back as gifts from Sophia and how Ihei had burned them all up, yelling nonsensically about her own father and sister. It didn't take long before Chika left home again.

    She went to Amegakure, where her father had arranged for her to apply for a job in the military, strangely enough. It was more than a little unexpected for this radically politically opinionated young woman to want to join the military, but her father wasn't going to argue against her on this. Despite not having gone to the Amegakure Academy, she was able to sign up for a test to join the ANBU thanks to the strings her father pulled. The examination itself, however, was an unadeltarated test of skill. The examiners were impressed enough, however, that she earned a place in a combat-oriented squad.

    Her skill increased greatly over the years. At one point, her record shows that she left the ANBU and became a jounin, but she neither had her own team nor did she have any outstanding accomplishments written on her record after her transition. In reality, she was appointed to Amegakure's Covert Operations Division, a group that split off from the ANBU some time ago to become a more specialized intelligence organization. Unlike the zero squads, however, they still were required to be on the level of regular ANBU in combat, but did not sport masks or uniforms. For all intents and purposes, the ACOD did not exist.

    She succeeded the former leader when he retired. This pasiing of the torch signified a great change in the organization itself, as its behaviour towards the people and its own members changed greatly along with the sorts of missions they would do. ACOD rarely did assassination missions anymore, but mostly focused on intelligence gathering and subterfuge.

If resisted for long enough, this technique can leave effects of delirium even after it's no longer used for durations as long as days to months.
      Weakness: Unlike most techniques of this kind, it has no subtlety. It cannot be used secretly without the awareness of its target. The use of this technique doesn't control the target, implant ideas, or even read ideas unlike some other techniques of this kind, but simply compells the target to answer questions truthfully.

    Personality:
    Chika is known by her colleagues and underlings as a trustworthy and sympathetic person, which is a rare combination to see in a spy. While it's not unreasonable to suspect, as many do, that this behaviour is a facade, she truly is a sincere person. This allowed her to become very likeable among her peers. She's eloquent and well-educated, if not a bit snobbish. Her literacy brings with it some strong convictions about her vision of the world and how it should be.

    As a friend, she's loyal and caring, perhaps even worrying too much about her friends and loved ones at times. And as a leader, she's not very different. She's very protective of her underlings: She doesn't hesitate to send them into risky situations for them to grow, but she never willingly puts them in a position where they would be a pawn sacrifice. In these kinds of situations, she has been known to go herself either to bail someone out or do some important jobs herself. While her attitude was criticized by her predecesor for being ineffective, this behaviour has nurtured a much more loyal generation of covert operatives working as members of Amegakure Covert Operations Division.

    When school started again, Chika began leaving during some recess and class periods to help Sophia in her investigation. She was especially helpful when it came down to retreiving information without being noticed, be it through genjutsu or through retrieving of physical evidence.

    Towards the end of Chika's third year, Sophia published her findings, shortly after being hospitalized after a gruesome assault on the street. While Chika was supposed to leave for home, she remained with Chika for the remainder of the year. Once the family's largest players were jailed and brought to court, Chika said her reluctant good-byes to her friends and her mentor. She returned home, where she found her father grown impossibly soft and happy, while her mother had become cold and distant. Just during the first few months, Chika and Ihei began fighting, particularly over the books Chika had brought back as gifts from Sophia and how Ihei had burned them all up, yelling nonsensically about her own father and sister. It didn't take long before Chika left home again.

    She went to Amegakure, where her father had arranged for her to apply for a job in the military, strangely enough. It was more than a little unexpected for this radically politically opinionated young woman to want to join the military, but her father wasn't going to argue against her on this. Despite not having gone to the Amegakure Academy, she was able to sign up for a test to join the ANBU thanks to the strings her father pulled. The examination itself, however, was an unadeltarated test of skill. The examiners were impressed enough, however, that she earned a place in a combat-oriented squad.

    Her skill increased greatly over the years. At one point, her record shows that she left the ANBU and became a jounin, but she neither had her own team nor did she have any outstanding accomplishments written on her record after her transition. In reality, she was appointed to Amegakure's Covert Operations Division, a group that split off from the ANBU some time ago to become a more specialized intelligence organization. Unlike the zero squads, however, they still were required to be on the level of regular ANBU in combat, but did not sport masks or uniforms. For all intents and purposes, the ACOD did not exist.

    She succeeded the former leader when he retired. This pasiing of the torch signified a great change in the organization itself, as its behaviour towards the people and its own members changed greatly along with the sorts of missions they would do. ACOD rarely did assassination missions anymore, but mostly focused on intelligence gathering and subterfuge.

Repetitive infliction builds long-term resistence to the poison (2nd use afflicts for 30 seconds, 3rd use, 15, 4th, 5 seconds, and after the 5th, the effect is no longer felt). If ninjutsu is attempted, the chakra will be wasted with no output. (x5)

    These knives are coated with poison that boosts the adrenaline of whoever it affects and throws them into a violent frenzy for one minute. Similarly to the other poison, its duration goes down at the same rate after repeted uses. (x5)

      Weakness: This technique requires a sort of uninterrupted contact with the point the technique was used on and its surroundings. So, if the user casts it on a stone, and the stone is up in the air, then the only thing that can't be used for techniques would be the stone itself, even if there is earth around it within range.

      Weakness: While altered and condensed forms can't be destroyed so easily, when it's malleable, it can take damage almost as easily as un-armored skin. If one of the altered forms is cut off, the remaining part has to be grown back with chakra before it can return to the real form, and a great amount of chakra is lost already when it's cut off from the rest of the body.

It uses up a small amount of chakra, but over extended periods of time (minutes) the drained chakra accumulates greatly.
      Weakness: Unlike most barrier techniques, this can't be used to block entry or exit from one side to the other. The user does not have an inherent advantage.

      Type of Jutsu: Genjutsu

      Description: This interrogation technique is very effective and difficult to resist relatively to other kinds of mind-reading techniques. It can break through most genjutsu barriers over multiple uses, and if it fails to, it simply puts strain on its target's mind in order to tire its defenses. If successful, this technique puts the target in a state where they are compelled to impulsively answer questions truthfully almost unconsciously, shutting down the ability to lie. If resisted for long enough, this technique can leave effects of delirium even after it's no longer used for durations as long as days to months.
      Weakness: Unlike most techniques of this kind, it has no subtlety. It cannot be used secretly without the awareness of its target. The use of this technique doesn't control the target, implant ideas, or even read ideas unlike some other techniques of this kind, but simply compells the target to answer questions truthfully.

Saizo is pretty average size for a 13 year old genin, being average height and weight for an athletic type.
He's got blue-black hair that is pushed back, and slightly unkempt. He has a round shaped head, with strong eyebrows that sit above his average sized gray-blue eyes. On his left cheek he sports a small scar across his cheekbone. Due to being in the mist village, his skin has a slight pallor to it compared to mainlanders.
He generally wears dark, neutral, or cool colors. He wears a long sleeved black asymmetrically zipped jacket (the Kirigagure signet on his jacket's collar) over a charcoal shirt and slate gray pants that are pushed up to his calves. His wears typical black ninja shoes.

Personality: Saizo is a generally cheerful kid, semi typical of an extrovert. Generally charismatic and confident, he often can be looked to for quick decision making and follow-through. Often displaying old-shinobi traits like ruthless rationality- using his drive, determination, and sharp(ish) mind to achieve goals that he believes in. Despite seeming a little brash, he is energetic, self confident, strong willed, and generally always thinking around problems.
Saizo enjoys a good solid challenge, and believes that given enough time- he can overcome any obstacle. Never one to give up, he can push goals through with sheer willpower, where others would be looking to give up.
If there's something he respects, it's the ability to stand up to him both physically and intellectually. Basically- people who are rather like him in intellect and physical capabilities. He knows he's certainly not the smartest, but he absolutely tries. As far as physical matches, this is more difficult for meeting those his age, as he relentlessly climbs after his goal to be one of the most capable physical combatants.
He tends to be a bit blunt, as well. He has no qualms pointing out other people's' failures… and usually with chilling insensitivity. This is where he sort of runs into trouble, as he's not the emotional type- and has a hard time expressing emotional responses.
He also tends to border the line between self confident and arrogant. Recognizing his own strengths, he tends to rely on his own self image quite a bit.
Stubbornness is also second nature to him. Sometimes all this confidence and willpower can go too far, and Saizo is all too capable of digging in his heels, trying to win every single debate and pushing their vision, and theirs alone.
Intolerance is also part of his personality, and it sort of ties with his stubbornness. He's not generally willing to support ideas he doesn't agree with his own line of goals.
Impatience puts the cherry on top for this one, as it is something he is painfully aware of, and really wishes he weren't. A lot of the stress he puts himself under is because of his impatience- and wanting to always be learning, training, or generally being a sponge to the new shinobi world.

History:
Saizo was born to the Urabe clan- a clan originally from the mainland of the Mizu territories, and within Kirigakure. Due to their pure nature of being Kirigakure nationals, they have a bit of an elevated status due to their long standing loyalty to the village. Due to their roots, they were affluent, so Saizo grew up not wanting for much. Born a third sone, that meant he also didn't have much real responsibility to the clan itself. His eldest brother was the heir to their clan, and their second born was the backup.
His status didn't include an easy upbringing by any means, however. Constantly trying to live up to the name of his elders, and even his elder brothers and sister, he was constantly 'at work'. The Urabe clan is one of the progenitors of a specific style of taijutsu, so this was something he grew up with, as well. The style maximizes efficient use of strikes and traps, and doesn't involve much flash- or overly decorative movements.This is why he's got such a diligent and stubborn attitude. Never accepting less than his absolute best... because if he did- he feels he would bring shame to himself, and worse (in his mind)- his Father.
His eldest brother was something of a genius, and his middle brother and sister were pretty advanced for where they were, as well. This made training for him hard- because they were all so advanced, they were always tough teachers. Knowing that every loss meant knowledge gained, they never 'took it easy on him'. Despite being a noble clan of Kirigakure, they tended to keep their taijutsu 'in house', and didn't reach it to folks outside the clan (without good reason). That meant all his sparring partners and sensei's for this were his family members. To keep him sharp, his siblings trained with him, and sparred with him during most their available time to do so. Constantly being at odds with his family members in a sort of competitive fashion kept his abilities sharp. Despite this competition held between the four of them, there was still plenty of love and admiration.
His father acted as both a father, as well as a sensei- teaching him what it means to be a ninja, as well as what it meant to walk the hilly roads of life. The relationship was not strained- but it was never super warm and loving. Despite this, Saizo loves and greatly respects his father, and always wanted to reach his approval- something never given easily.
His mother was something of an enigma, however. She was often away, being part of the village's ANBU group. He never had the opportunity to nourish much of a bond with her. Of course he respected and obeyed his mother, it certainly wasn't warm- and borderlined awkward most the time.
He was put into the shinobi academy, and seemed to do pretty well from a young age. It allowed an outlet and socializing a biut allowed him more training partners closer to 'his level'. His focus was on taijutsu- of which his sensei's attempted to get him to stretch his boundaries with ninjutsu- to widen his approach to conflicts and situations. It was difficult, but some of the teachers got through to him. He's certainly not a wealth of jutsu information or skill, but those that he knows- he's good at using- and recognizing. Growing up in his household, everyone sort of understood he'd be a natural at the physical arts, but would require more pressure and focus elsewhere to get him to really use his brain. Taking to the challenge pretty well, he did his best.
At the age of ten- a tragic, but unfortunately commonplace situation arose. During a trip to see relatives of their 'cadet branch' who temporarily settled off the mainland- due to the outbreak of the junchuuriki destroying their home- their group was attacked in the streets heading toward the docks. The Urabi clan were a target- being staunch supporters of the current Mizukage during time of rebellion- and in their arrogance travelled with only a few experienced members of their clan.
Saizo was actually hidden away by his elder sister Saya in the chaos, who is still missing after the incident. She stuffed him into a nearby home's thankfully unlocked cellar. However his father and elder brother perished in the short conflict, his eldest brother survived, as did their grandfather. Two cousins and an uncle were also slain. His mother has yet to return home after the incident as well, pointing to her possible involvement in the attack. Saizo emerged after the sounds of battle had silenced, and he heard the calling voice of his brother. Seeing bodies of people he didn't know didn't seem to affect him much, until he saw the limp figures of his family members scattered in the street around their caravan.
This has put him in a particularly guarded state, and has some issues talking about the incident and expressing himself. The kid already had father issues, and this seemed to make it worse. Seeking approval of his superiors is important to him now more than ever, a way to sort of cope, and deal with the loss- maybe even attempts at filling the role of his father. His eldest brother is now the head of the household, which he seems to handle quite well- being a now established jounin. It's just the two of them and their grandparents now. They haven't seen their mother or sister in two years, a point of pain for everyone in the family.
This was a tragedy for him, yes, but he doesn't allow it to define who he is. He still attempts to put it out of his mind rather than just 'dealing with it', as he's just now a teen- his emotional maturity is still growing. This means he works extra hard on his studies and building relationships. This also has lead to a bit of a personal realization that he had been living in his family's shadow, and hadn't really considered a life of his own choosing. That maybe he felt oppressed living in the shadow of his father... And has turned his attentions inward, to better himself for the sake of himself, rather than the approval of his father.... Surely- easier said than done, as he still seeks apprval from external sources. This has also tipped his political siding from moderate- being an uninvolved teenager- to slightly in favor of the current Mizukage.
He graduated from the academy and became a Genin at thirteen. The teachers recognized his aptitudes for conflict resolution, and efficiency of thinking smart- not 'hard'. He had a great attitude toward constructive criticism- borderline on being 'too hard on himself' in times of failure. Despite being pretty one-sided as far as his 'combat' abilities went, he did put plenty of effort into expanding his horizons. In due time, he may be a candidate for leadership given his natural skill, partnered with driven and charismatic natures. Though as long as he can overcome his impatience, stubborn-ness, and borderline arrogance- this may be an up-hill battle for him. Passing the examination with moderate effort, he remains eager to get his life moving forward again.
