-edit-

I changed Slime to Honey through out the whole CS. I added vials of poison to her items list. Reworded her weakness (and added a new one)

Overall the app is unchanged

So here is what i am confused about.

I dont know what you are trying to say other then you dont like me getting my chakra back when the slime is burned. I will take that part out but if you where trying to say something else, please let me know.
What I meant was indeed that the chakra would return. She (and anybody when using a jutsu) will mould and use chakra to do a technique. In this case, it is doing the Honey/Slime technique. I am okay if it is hard to get rid of it (such as that it is resistant to quite some chemical reactions) but if somebody evaporates it that the chakra will be returned to the user. Other than that, it was fine with me.

The Yamanaka Clan

"Ever the same, ever the different"

latest

[tabs][Tab | Introduction|]

Name :
Yamanaka Clan

Location
Province of Fire, largest concentration at the western part with the border of the River Province , but a large amount can be found living in Konohagakure and the city's surrounding farmlands.

Village
Clan in Akino, their centre of administration being in the Yamanaka Compound. Yahasaki is, however, considered their centre of culture.

Traits
One should take note that not every Yamanaka is following the traits. The following is applied to the general 'image'/'idea' of what the majority of the Yamanaka are.

* Blonde or light brown seems to be the dominant colour when it comes down to hair colour.
* Light coloured eyes, such as piercing blue or light green seem to be dominant among the Yamanaka population.
* Many are raised by still 'ancient' - take that with a little bit of salt - traditions and manners, which cause many Yamanaka to not be fond of ending up in the centre of attention.
* Many Yamanaka shinobi tend to have average chakra reserves, but a good talent for learning how to master and gain control over their chakra at a good pace.

[/tab][Tab | History |]

The history of the Yamanaka clan is one shrouded in tales, legends and myths. Depending if you believe it or not the Yamanaka seers claim that their people were descendants of the sea. The Hanguri Golf, in particular, is a well-known location for their tales. According to those tales, the Yamanaka people were made by the God - or Gods - from the shells on the beach at the Hanguri Golf. From this humble origin, the Yamanaka people went into the woods and hills that are bountiful north of the coast of the golf. There the majority started a simple existence, becoming farmer and such.

Slowly as time progressed the Yamanaka clan did become united. Not because of some heroic leader or conqueror, but because of the dreadful age of the Warring Clans. As a clan and people the Yamanaka weren't fond of using violence, let alone warfare. With a relatively weak military compared to other clans this made them wary and fearful for what their future would be. A people of song and freedom they thus started to bond with the clans that they had managed to create a strong and trusting bond with. The Nara and Akichimi clan, in this case. In some tales it is even said that the three clans share the same ancestry, explaining in a way how Yakimara is shared between the three clans. Some - and more bold/prideful - Yamanaka does claim that they taught Yakimara to the other two clans, as the language sounds more friendly and almost as singing for the not initiated.

However, this didn't make many Yamanaka feel secure. Being still in numbers and military strength the inferior compared to clans such as the Hon, Uchiha and other more renowned clans the Yamanaka would turn to their Seers for guidance. This created a tradition that saw the Yamanaka freedom being secured as well a way for them to learn more about other clans.
With their Hidden Techniques, the Seers were already regarded as mystical and powerful individuals in the Yamanaka clan, rumoured to be capable of communicating with the death themselves. With the advice from those being in the after-life the Seers thus enjoyed prestige, respect and fear from their kin. This was what the Yamanaka also started to use in their contact with other clans. Certainly, those who had - or even still have - an ancestor worship. This prevented the Yamanaka clan from facing marauding Hon and Sarutobi raiders and keeping peace with other clans as the Yamanaka send out their Seers to communicate with revered ancestors of the clans that they feared or wished to keep as a friend.

Over time this became slowly more of a tradition than a solution to avert conflict with other clans. At the end of the Warring Clans, the Yamanaka clan had gained the reputation of capable diplomats and their seers would continue to be called into honour and communicate with revered ancestors. However, just as with almost everything there were - and still are - those who doubted if the Yamanaka seers truly were/are capable of communicating with the dead.
There are some stories of Seers being chased away or finding a worse fate, such as being tortured and death. These events, however, were often followed by accidents and what some considered divine retribution. Some do still claim that it wasn't anything but the Yamanaka lashing back in silence to instil fear for mistreating their fake seers.

[Tab | Clan Ground|]
The land in which the Yamanaka live is quite fertile woodlands. They are accustomed to working in the field and forests, living a rather simple life even though the fertility. Using natural borders such as rivers they do keep a keen eye on who enters their 'land' with their own militia force. Located in the territory of the Yakimara cultures and clans (Being the Nara and Akimichi together with the Yamanaka).

Their capital of culture and administration is a city called Tatekumo. The City of Tatekumo is one that isn't much that inspires awe into those who travel or live there. The protective stone walls have been a pride of the locals as there are various tales on how the defensives have been constructed. Some state that the uncalled god made earth rise and with the use of divine fire moulded the defensives as they are today. The markets of Tatekumo are, however, the main attraction for travellers. Provided with their famous pubs with live entertainment and drama schools, Tatekumo fits the humble attitude that is being displayed by the majority of the clan.

[/tab][Tab | Techniques |]
The members of this clan specialise in mind-centred techniques which make them experts at intelligence gathering, espionage and ultimately interrogation. They have also displayed sensory abilities and their techniques include transferring consciousness, reading minds and communicating telepathically.
Their techniques are Hidden and while honoured allies can sometimes find themselves being taught the basic the Yamanaka have over time made a tradition on how they teach and use their Hidden techniques.
It is important to know that the Yamanaka clan doesn't enforce their people to pick a militant vocation nor does any of their traditions inspire any thirst for glory won through by slaying the enemies of their people.

~ Mind Seekers ~

Those born with piercing blue eyes are reputed to become capable masters of the Mind techniques that the Yamanaka clan has its disposal. They are often taught at a young age how to master the basics as well knowing how to fend off other mind-seekers. In old days they were seen with some distrust as one couldn't be sure if a mind-seeker was at work and there have been a large number of superstitious beliefs - such as that garlic cut at full moon - wouldn't allow a mind-seeker to infiltrate your body and mind.
In fact, the Yamanaka hold their own corps of intelligence operatives that are well versed in using the Hidden Techniques of their clan and being rather experienced in stealth. It has been the core of the Yamanaka military over the ages, sending in to demand justice and deal retribution whenever a Yamanaka seer would fall to foreign hands or other dangers. This has been the source of some rivalry, however, with the seers as some - not all - of the Mind-seekers don't really agree with the Seers and proclaim that the old traditions of pleasing other clans as they have done should come to an end. It is thanks to their training and education no surprise that the Mind-seekers are more militant of mind and attitude than many of their kin.

~ Seers ~

Yamanaka clan seers are easily recognised by their light green eyes and blond hair. Some say that they have green coloured eyes due to how close they are to the earth, being able to commune with animals and those experienced enough with the dead. If this or isn't true is a secret that has never leaked out before. Many of the Yamanaka in the higher echelons in their clan don't even know the real answer, which has led to a theory that it was perhaps once a lie but that thanks to its success that the Yamanaka started to believe it themselves.
The role of the Seers is one of diversity. They are taught diplomacy and the Hidden techniques of the clan. But that isn't all as they are further educated in knowing the culture of clans that the Yamanaka clan has and wants to deal with. They are thus in essence advisers, diplomats and also the religious caste of the Yamanaka clan - as many of the Seers are being taught how to commune with the higher powers. Some that have a talent for it are even regarded as fortune tellers, being hailed as oracles.
While they aren't having any formal political power, it isn't a surprise to learn that they do have quite some informal political sway in the Yamanaka clan. Their education can last for a long time and they don't write down any of their work, instead of teaching any pupil by taking them on voyages. This was in the past quite dangerous and only limited to the lands of the Yakimara clans. In the present, this has, however, led that the Yamanaka seers take voyages around other parts of the Empire of Akino. Leading to a better understanding of the other clans that live in the same realm.

~ Supertious beliefs ~

Even with the Warring Clans over there are still some who believe that the Mind-seekers are dangerous for all. The ability to slip into the memory and even body of another, controlling them as a puppet has led to some distrust from even within the Yamanaka clan. There are enough stories about Mind-seekers becoming too addictive with their abilities that they had to be put down or were struck by some divine intervention before they could damage the reputation and peace that the Yamanaka so much desire.

These days most people that fear a Mind-seeker are living in remote villages at the western side of the Fire province of the Akinian imperium. A few sayings go as the following :

"A bored Mind-seeker who is bored might start to do unspeakable things."
"If you really want to upset a witch, do her a favour which she has no means of repaying. The unfulfilled obligation will nag at her like a hangnail."
"Don't bond with a Mind-seeker. Once you're part of them, there is no knowing how much they are part of you."
"A burned Mind-Seeker smells like the dawn of Spring."
"It is also said that when a Yamanaka that is quite specialised and experienced with handling the Hidden Techniques of the clan will form a special bond with a person, without their consent even. This special bond isn't one of just friendship and care, but it is said that Mind-seekers are capable of leaving a bit of their conscience in the soul of those that they have bonded with. On the death of the Mind-seeker, the 'afflicted' will start to experience nightmares, going crazy with wanting the deceased Mind-seeker back. It is then when the small bit of conscience of the Mind-Seeker will take over the body of the afflicted to continue a new life."
"People have speculated that when a Yamanaka uses the Hidden Technique to take over the body of another that they are capable of hexing that person. The Hex will work once the Yamanaka is killed, but their soul hasn't been capable of travelling back to their previous body. This will cause the restless soul to search and hunt down the hexed victim, to take over their body once more and till the end."

[/tab][Tab | Traditions, religion, culture and tales|]

The culture of the Yamanaka clan seems to be quite focused on sing and dance. They have little to no desire for militant achievements as the most prestigious clans of the Empire, instead of having a lot of songs that seem to inspire a festive atmosphere. Respect and a positive attitude are what the Yamanaka consider essential when they form an ideal persona in their mind.

[Tabs][Tab | Festivals and special days|]
1st of March,
Honey-Festival.

The Honey Festival is one of the festivals that the Yamanaka host in their clan grounds and land. It is a rather cheerful festival that seems to hold even traditional dancing competitions, of which the Yamanaka clan seems to be rather fond off. Next to the dancing, music and singing there is also the Spring offering - often done by sharing of honey between couples and relatives, ending with a large bonfire.

10th of June,
Honzo's Flower festival.

On the 10th of June, the Yamanaka remember Honzo Yamanaka. This is a renowned figure in the folklore of the Yamanaka clan of which it was said that he was capable of bringing people together with his flowers. It is a day where loved ones spend a whole day together, often surprising each other with surprises with a romantic tint to it. It is also the day that each Yamanaka girl below the twenty who hasn't been married will wear flowers in her hair. It is often custom that they are asked to spend the day with anybody who is interest in them and some Yamanaka restaurants even give a discount for such couples and dates. Those too young to be romantically interested in others have also something to do as the children have flower competitions. Most often try to find flowers that they hid and took care for during the winter months to present them at this festival to win praise and prices.

It is also a popular day for Yamanaka to marry.

26th of August,
The End of Summer Festival,

This festival is one where families and often whole Yamanaka communities come together to celebrate one last time with a lot of food, music and dancing. Sweet and hearty recipes will be prepared and shared between the participants while cheerful music will be played. This is to enjoy the last few days of the Summer together before Autumn will dawn upon the world and bring the gloomy weather with it. The ending of the Summer Festival differs among Yamanaka communities, but in general, the children play a game of hiding flowers with the idea that those flowers will survive the stern, cold months to become the prettiest next spring.

[/tab][Tab | Religion |]

The belief which Yamanaka are raised with is the Way of Fire. The rites and rituals of the particular faith are dominant in the clan, but it has been mixed with a taste of ancestor worship. This has been debated on how this change was introduced, but most likely was the product of the Yamanaka clan using their seers to 'aid' the ancestor rituals of other clans. Much like how priests of the Way of Fire proclaim somebody as the Keeper of the Flame, so is the same with the ancestor-worship within each Yamanaka family.
Where families have a revered ancestor that they pray and request divine intervention from. This has led to all kind of revered ancestors with their own stories and myths, sometimes spreading over families and creating altogether new 'revered ancestors'.

[/tab][Tab | Rumours |]

[/tab][/tabs]

[/tab][Tab | Relations|]

The Homura Dynasty :
Loyal,
The Yamanaka clan higher echelon has no desire for more political power. They seem to be quite taken in with the current dynasty and ruler of the Akinian Empire, though as time progressed there has been some (pleasant) surprise that the royal dynasty doesn't seem to fit the image that many of the old Yamanaka generation have of the fierce Hon clan.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chonobi cultures/clans.
Respectful, but slightly wary.
The attitude of the Yamanaka clan towards the Hon clan is a source of the past. As a clan that isn't much interested or sees the same value in pursuing militant achievements the Hon and Sarutobi clan almost seem to frighten the Yamanaka clan. The stories and tales of the past when the Hons were feared as marauders and fierce fighters that would come to burn and kill have yet to pass the lands that the Yamanaka consider their own. The relation between the two, however, seem to be quite stable. It isn't a rare occurrence that Yamanaka seers are invited on important days to communicate with Hon ancestors.
The fact that the Cho clan - who are also a Chonobi culture - are less driven for military prestige and seem to be more open-minded for trade has also been something that made a peaceful trade and coexistence becoming possible.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Uchiha and Hanta clan,
Friendly,
The Uchiha and Yamanaka clan enjoy a friendly relation. For a long time, the Uchiha clan has employed the aid of the Yamanaka seers to communicate with their revered ancestors as well helping in several manners when it comes down to rituals. While they aren't fond militant minded clans the peaceful cooperation and bond that the two clans have grown over time has made it easier for the Yamanaka to accept that small detail.

Here it is, my clan I have been making for the past forever. It is probably terrible because its the first clan I've ever made or had a hand in making. I can fix whatever is needed! But here is the Hanta Clan!

The Hanta Clan

tsukinihoshi.png

"A hunter is only as strong as his mind is wise."

  • "Alone we can do little; together we can do so much."

    Name
    The Hanta Clan

    Village
    Ties with Konohagakure

    Compound/Estate
    Most of the members live in Hantā no Seijou (Called Seijou most often, full name means Hunter's Sancturary), North of Konohagakure, around 56km away.

    * Tori no su: The village belonging to the Moukin Branch. This city houses the caretakers of the Moukin's Birds of Prey. Their job to see to it that the large birdhouse is kept clean and no birds die unnecessarily. It is also where the Rite of Passage for the Moukin Branch is preformed. Located along most southern tip of Hanta land, the city borders the lands belonging to the Uchiha clan.

    * Urufuhausu: The city belonging to the Ōkami branch. This city houses the caretakers of the Okami's wolves. They see to it that the large building meant to work as a Wolf Den is cleaned and no wolves die unnecessarily. It is also where the Rite of Passage for the Okami branch is preformed. Loacated due east of the main estate. Roughly in the middle of Hanta land, but on river that runs through the center itself.

    * Bobukyatto den: The city belonging to the Bobukyatto branch. This city houses the caretakers of the Bobukyatto's bobcats. They see to it that the large building meant to work as a bobcat Den is cleaned and no fbobcats die unnecessarily. It is also where the Rite of Passage for the Bobukyatto branch is preformed. Located at the most northern tip of Hanta land. (If you're looking at the map, south of the Hidden Sound)

    Traits
    * For most Hanta, chakra control is above average for Shinobi.
    * Most can weave handsigns faster than the average Shinboi.
    * The Hanta are very skilled in tracking, stealth, and survival. As this traces back to their hunter roots.
    * The Hanta have an affinity for either Lightning or Water Release.
    * Most Hanta have straight, light-colored hair. Though this does not hold true for all the members.
    * Hanta are raised to be quick thinkers, and problem solvers. As both attributes are critical to survival.
    * The fact that many people who live in the 'homelands' of the Hanta clan have the surname, isn't because they are nessesscariliy Hanta in blood. They follow the traditions and the manners that dictate the Hanta clan. This means that the Hanta surname is more an indication of the traditions and culture of their origin.

  • Family Tree
    Family Tree

    The Hanta are made up of three separate branches, each of which was a former nomadic tribe before joining together to form the Hanta. Currently, each branch is noted by their surnames, and a tribal tattoo that can be worn wherever the bearer so chooses. The Hanta have developed into a somewhat militaristic clan since their formation, thanks in part to their neighbors. The Hanta are currently being led by Makoto Hanta, head of the Moukin Branch. Making it the main branch of the day. He is advised by Kazuto and Hina Hanta, of the Okami and Bobukyatto branches respectively. The leader of the clan is decided by lineage, which family member ties back to the original Hanta leader. Occsionally it has switched between branches, but still follows the same bloodline. The branches (and their members so far) are as follows;

    • About: The Moukin branch was once a hunting tribe that excelled in tracking their prey down. Partly thanks to their use of Birds of Prey as hunting companions. They're known for being excellent trackers, and employing Sensory Ninjutsu. Most Moukin choose to fight using a bow, and are quite skilled with the weapon. The Moukin have managed to work out a sort of sign language with their birds, and are thus able to give commands silently. Along with training the birds to give off certain calls as a way of communication between the two to enable tracking.

      Important Members (PCs and NPCs):
      * Makoto Hanta-Moukin
      * Tomiko Hyuuga

      Summoning Animal:
      * Various Birds of Prey

    • About: The Okami branch were once a hunting tribe that execelled in ambush attacks on their prey. Much like the hounds they are commonly seen hunting with, the Okami focus on staying slient and attacking in groups to overwhelm the prey. The Okami are fierce fighters, who employ a variety of weaponry and taijutsu. The Okami rely very little on ninjutsu, sticking instead to use Chakra Supression to keep themselves hidden until the ambush. Their hounds are highly trained, and can respond to hand signals or vocal commands.

      Important Members (PCs and NPCs):
      * Kazuto Hanta-Okami

      Summoning Animal:
      * Various Hounds/Dogs

      Technique(s):
      * Chakra Surpression Technique

    • About: The Bobukyatto branch is very similar to the Okami, and in some stories are even a splinter tribe from the Okami. Like the Okami, the Bobukyatto focus little on Ninjutsu, using more of a chakra supression technique, and limited amounts of other techniques which can be used for assassination. The Bobukyatto aren't front line fighters, instead they excel in the art of assassination, employing methods similar to the bobcats they hunt with to get close and strike their target.

      Important Members (PCs and NPCs):
      * Hina Hanta-Bobukyatto

  • A New Clan is Born
    The Hanta were formed long ago when a trio of nomadic hunting tribes who shared similar cultures decided to join together into one massive clan. This movement was led by one man, Ichiro Moukin, a man who was seen as a visonary for his time by the soon-to-be Hanta. The clan was still nomadic for a few years following their formation, however Ichiro saw to them setteling down in the lands they still hold, seeking to establish themselves in the world. As time ticked onwards, the Hanta grew into a cohesive and proud clan, with many new traditions cropping up during this time period. A happy time for the new clan, as it sunk its roots into the world around it.

    Survival of the Fittest
    Such blissful peace was not to last, as the clan soon found themselves under attack from a nearby smaller clan seeking to expand its domain, and targeting the new clan thinking it weak. Here, the Hanta forged a place for themselves in the hostile time period known as the warring clans. Stiking back against their newfound rivals, the Hanta and their enemy fought to the last man, their last man. The Hanta emerging a more powerful clan than before, thanks to alliances and new clan members from the other smaller tribes in the area. A new time for the Hanta had been constructed, built in blood and steel from the battlefield. As a result of this attack, and the price in blood which was paid; the Hanta began to fortify their lands. First forging alliances with the small tribes around them, the Hanta built a barrier between themselves and their enemies. Then came the construction of their cities, and the capital estate; Hantā no Seijou. A city built with defense in mind from those who might wish to hurt the growing clan. Soon after, the Hanta absorbed the small tribes around them to reach something resembling its current size. During this time period, the Hanta also began to have issues supporting their way of life, with the price and materials for supporting the military and animals being too steep for them alone. To solve this issue, the clan began reaching out and attempting to make trade deals with other clans. Establishing themselves as a clan who thrived off the trade.

    New Allies?
    During the time of constant wars, the Hanta made as much an attempt to remain neutral as they could. The problems and wars of others had no need to interfere with their way of life. However, such events could not be avoided; and the Hanta knew it was only a matter of time before a foe which they could not face alone would show up at their doorstep. It was as such that a diplomatic party was sent over to the lands of their neighboring clan; the Uchiha. Not long after this, thanks to similar cultures and the mutual benefit of the arrangement, the Hanta found themselves a powerful new ally. Over the years since, the Hanta and Uchiha have enjoyed a friendly alliance, with more than one arranged marriage working to help keep the two clans on friendly terms.

    Trouble with the Wolves...
    The powerful force that the Hanta were worried about did not make them wait terribly long before showing its fangs. The Hanta became victims to a couple of raids from their neighbors on the other side, the Hon Clan. At first, the Hanta simply tried to brush it off by forming a defense force to keep the raids out. However... the raids continued, and blood was shed in the small battles that took place. As the casualties began to roll in, the Hanta simply could not stand by and let these... brutes continue raiding their lands. Large raiding party was sent to return the favor to the Hon, aiming to give them a message not to raid the Hanta anymore. However, the Hon turned around and came back with a larger raiding party. To which the Hanta dispatched a war party, ready to fight a war with these Hons. If it was a war the Hon wanted, then a war they would get.

    It was not long before the two were locked into bloody conflict. The Hanta striking with a decisive ferocity that the Hon were evidently not expecting, as they were being pushed back, losing the war. This pattern kept for a good amount of time before the Hon managed to organize themselves, and mounted a counter-attack of surprising force. Forcing the Hanta back into their land, both sides dearly for each inch of land in blood. After being pushed back for long enough, the Hanta decided to cut their loses and paid a tribute to the Hon to convince them to back off. Vowing to get stronger in case the Hon ever came back for more, as a wolf always seems to be hungry.

    The Hyuuga Problem
    In the wake of the war with the Hon, the Hanta had built up their strength once more. Aiming this time to be stronger than before, and ready for another heavy fight against an enemy such as the Hon. They also began reaching out to and trying to build realtions with some of the other local clans in the area. One such clan being the Hyuuga clan, who the Hanta were just getting to know, and discovering how they treated members of their own clan. One of the letters written back to the Hanta from the diplomatic team at the time was intercepted by the Hyuuga after supscions of the team arose. In it, evidence that the Hanta disliked the Hyuuga's treatment deplorable and that one of the members of the diplomatic team was poking his head into matters he shouldn't have been. However; the Hanta back in the capitol knew not of this as the letter revealing it never reached them.

    When the team was arrested, the Hanta were naturally enraged over the seemingly random incarcaration of the diplomatic team. After a series of poor handling of diplomacy on both sides, the team was eventually set free to return to their home. Only to be attacked and killed by an unknown, and likely acting on their own, Hyuuga. Already angered with the Hyuuga for the incarcaration of their team, the Hanta had enough and sent a party to raid the Hyuuga lands. Not long after, the Hanta and Hyuuga found themselves at war. While the Hyuuga's Byakugan and unique combat style allowed them to claim the lives of many a Hanta, the other's sheer numbers and agressive fighting style proved to be too much for the clan. After a long, bloody war, the Hanta began overwhelming the Hyuuga. To which the Hyuuga responded in much the same fashion the Hanta had to the Hon. Cut losses, pay tribute, and get left alone. The relataions between the two never quite clearing up thanks to the poor diplomatic handling on both sides before and after their conflict.

    Welcome to Konohagakure
    Many years down the line, the Hanta heard plenty of talk about the great village of Konohagakure, mostly from their allies in the Uchiha. After a year of bickering and arguing about the idea of a village in which the clans worked together, the Hanta approached the Uchiha about joining the village. Soon after, the Hanta were intergrated into the society of Konohagakure, and quite enjoying the benefits of such a situation.

    Then came the dawn fo the Great War, in which the Hanta mobilized their forces alongside those of Konohagakure. The Hanta found their fortress city to be seiged by a small contingent of Earth Country soldiers, and thus had a relatively easy time preventing them from entering the city. Though Hanta lives were lost in the battle, the clan did not quite suffer the loses of some others. Likely due to the fact that they didn't have to deal with entire hosts of enemies assualting their walls. After taking care of their own lands, Hanta warriors and shinobi were among those marching with the Konohagakure relief force to assist the Hon against the Kirigakure host.

    When the Fire Union was born, the Hanta were happy to support the ideal, seeing the benefits it could bring to their clan and those around them.

    The Shoji Occupation
    Whenever the Shoji Occupation began setting in, the Hanta were alongside the rebels in the village fighting agaisnt the ban of Shinobi arts. As such, they also became targets of the occupiers, and once more had to deal with smaller host of attackers than others like the Hon. However; unlike with the Earth Country force, the occupiers managed to breach the walls of Hantā no Seijou and a bloody battle took place within the streets of the Hanta's estate. It was during this time that Makoto Hanta, the clan leader, took charge and led the fight against the invaders. The Hanta, under his lead, eventually managed to beat the occupiers back out of their home thanks to the small number of opponents, and some of the attacking force being diverted to the Hon estate. After their homelands were freed once more, the Hanta send soldiers over to assist in the fighting at the Hon Estate, wanting to ensure the Shoji had no chance the re-group. Since this time, the Hanta have been rebuilding their city walls, all of which were destroyed when the occupiers breached the city. The scars of the occupation obvious to an onlooker, as the eastern wall stands ruined next to the newly rebuilt north, west, and south walls.

    After the occupation, when the Akinian Empire rose from the Fire Union, the Hanta became proud supporters of the empire. Believing in the strength, and leadership of said empire.

  • The Hanta are a proud clan, but not arrogant. They are proud of who they are, the Hanta, and alot of their traditions have to do with such thoughts. The Hanta enjoy looking back on their past and remembering their accomplishments.

    Respect
    The Hanta hold respect in rather high regards. What this means, is that they expect that one would respect their elders, superiors, Gods, culture, and even the culture of others. The Hanta tend to hold a certain disdain for others who lack respect for others, especially their own people.

    The Hanta are followers of the Great Sage, and as such they honor the Sage each year.

    Honoring of Ancestors
    14 July

    On the day of Ichiro Hanta-Moukin's death, the Hanta have elected to honor their departed. The clan will gather at various shrines around their Hanta lands, with the majority going to a main hall in their capital. The current clan leader (and local leaders at the shrines) will read a piece of Ichiro's teachings about what it is to be a Hanta.

    Rite of Passage
    The Rite of Passage is unique to each branch, though all share a common factor. The Rite of Passage takes place when a Hanta is around 13 years old. Each reflects the teachings and beliefs of the respective clan, and a single test to see if the child is ready to become an adult. Those who pass the test are then sent to their branch's sacred city, in which they enter the respective building for their clan's animal. In the next ritual, an animal may choose the Hanta entering the building. If chosen, a Hanta is then allowed to become a Shinobi or Warrior for the clan. Those who aren't chosen fill other roles within the clan, or are allowed to become a Warrior as well. Most who enter are not chosen.

    Hantagādo
    With each batch of young Hanta entering the Rite of Passage, every child is offered a choice. They may try all three Rites of Passage for the clan. A child who passes all three and is chosen all three times is a very rare event, and often seen as a sign of true potential. With passing all three, the child is marked with the tattoos of the other two branches they were not part of originally, and recruited to train for the Hantagādo, or Hanta Guard. The trianing for which is done alongside Shinobi training in Konohagakure itself, and takes years to finish. Resulting in highly trained Shinobi and Kunoichi, ready to serve as its own unit for whatever it may be needed (including if the Akinian Military needs to use them for whatever reason). A successful training results in the member becoming a part of the Hantagādo, who serve as the personal guard of the clan leader, and as a highly trained squad as mentioned before. There is a catch to this test. A child who attempts the test and fails a single one of the Rites will loose any animals which chose them, and be sent to work in the city with others who weren't chosen. Forbidden from becoming a Warrior or Shinobi.

    Dance of the Flower Petals
    When a Hanta girl comes of courtship age (around 18 years), they usually begin wearing flowers in their hair to signal to others they are ready for a relationship. During this time, a Hanta may approach the girl and try to win her heart, perhaps even asking for a dance. A Hanta who admits to her interest will accept the dance, and pin remove the flower, giving it to the boy. Should a girl refuse, the boy must stop showing interest, as it is seen as a severe disrespect towards the girl, and would be asked to leave the clan. Were he to continue his advances after she refused.

  • The Hon:
    The Hanta currently respect the Hon, though generally act neutral towards the clan.
    The Hanta and the Hon have had a rocky relationship over the years, with the latter raiding the former several times during the Warring Clans period and a conflict igniting between the two. Current days, the Hanta are neutral towards the Hon due to the apathetic nature with which they are treated. They also respect the clan's prowess, having experiencied it first hand.

    The Uchiha:
    The Hanta are currently Allied/Friendly with the Uchiha.
    The Hanta and the Uchiha have gotten along well since long ago, thanks to similar religions and efforts from both sides to keep relationships positive. Over the years there have been a couple of arranged marriages and others of the like which helped cement the positive relations between the two clans.

    The Hyuuga:
    The Hanta currently Distrust/Dislike the Hyuuga.
    The Hanta and the Hyuuga have a rather negative history, with the Hanta having fought the Hyuuga during the Warring Clans period, and the way the Hyuuga clan treat both outsiders and their own mixing to create the negative opinion with which the Hanta hold their clans.

    The Homura Dynasty:
    The Hanta are loyal to the Dynasty.
    The Hanta, having seen the stregth in the Fire Union, then in the Akinian Empire are loyal to the Homura Dynasty. Strength in numbers, and they see that the Akinian Empire under Empress Homura has the potential to bring about great things for those in the realm.

Appearance: Kuro is a scarecrow-looking young teen with an angular face and piercing green eyes, his sandy-blonde hair unkempt and tied into a high ponytail. As though somewhat disease-stricken, dark bags are present under his eyes and shadows pool on the concave of his cheeks.

23msj6g.png

Personality: Kuro is ambitious, vindictive, and at times impatient. He enjoys hit-and-run tactics and cheap shots in combat, keeping to the shadows until favourable opportunities present themselves. He devotes himself to the mission and places great value in its completion and fruition. Like his parents, he appreciates art and self-expression in all its different forms and media, especially the carving of wooden figurines — which he himself practices in his off-time.

DN3p4.png

History:
Kuro grew up an only child in a family of three — including him. His parents were both accomplished Chuunin with plenty of achievements under their belts. They did, however, have some financial issues and Kuro spent most of his childhood seeing creditors come and go, tenants sleeping in the unoccupied rooms of their house. This sparked an ambition in him and he made a silent vow to repay his parents as soon as he'd made it in the Shinobi world.

While hardly prodigious, Kuro graduated the Academy with ease and earned his forehead protector at the age of twelve. Because of the Revolution, however, his installation in an official team was delayed. He spent this time idly practicing his skills and observing the changing dynamics of the village (and country) with the culminating deaths of the Water Daimyo and Mizukage.

    Family Tree

    The Hanta are made up of three separate branches, each of which was a former nomadic tribe before joining together to form the Hanta. Currently, each branch is noted by their surnames, and a tribal tattoo that can be worn wherever the bearer so chooses. The Hanta are currently being led by Makoto Hanta, head of the Moukin Branch. Making it the main branch of the day. He is advised by Kazuto and Hina Hanta, of the Okami and Bobukyatto branches respectively. The leader of the clan is decided by lineage, which family member ties back to the original Hanta leader. Occsionally it has switched between branches, but still follows the same bloodline. The branches (and their members so far) are as follows;

      * Makoto Hanta-Moukin
      * Tomiko Hyuuga

      Summoning Animal:

    • About: The Okami branch were once a hunting tribe that execelled in ambush attacks on their prey. Much like the hounds they are commonly seen hunting with, the Okami focus on staying slient and attacking in groups to overwhelm the prey. The Okami are fierce fighters, who employ a variety of weaponry and taijutsu. The Okami rely very little on ninjutsu, sticking instead to use Chakra Supression to keep themselves hidden until the ambush. Their wolves are highly trained, and can respond to hand signals or vocal commands.

      Important Members (PCs and NPCs):
      * Kazuto Hanta-Okami

      Summoning Animal:
      * Various Hounds/Dogs

      Technique(s):
      * Chakra Surpression Technique

      Tattoo

    • About: The Bobukyatto branch is very similar to the Okami, and in some stories are even a splinter tribe from the Okami. Like the Okami, the Bobukyatto focus little on Ninjutsu, using more of a chakra supression technique, and limited amounts of other techniques which can be used for assassination. The Bobukyatto aren't front line fighters, instead they excel in the art of assassination, employing methods similar to the bobcats they hunt with to get close and strike their target.

      Important Members (PCs and NPCs):

A city built with defense in mind ffrom those who might wish to hurt the growing clan. Soon after, the Hanta absorbed the small tribes around them to reach something resembling its current size.

The Hanta found their fortress city to be seiged by a small contingent of Kirigakure soldiers, and thus had a relatively easy time preventing them from entering the city.

They later on would be proud supporters of the Akinian Empire when it rose from the Fire Union.

However; unlike with the Kirigakure force, the occupiers managed to breach the walls of Hantā no Seijou and a bloody battle took place within the streets of the Hanta's estate.

23msj6g.png

Personality:

To the outside world Gavin is a serious person, a silent shadow who follows orders to a tee without question. He appears as the perfect soldier just like the higher ups like to see him. And true to form, Gavin is that person in a way. He doesn't need much in life, doesn't own much, doesn't do much besides his job. As soon as he joined the ANBU corps he knew that his life was no longer his, but belonged to the state even more than when he was just a shinobi. And he accepted that. Gavin is not one to ask questions. Not for missions, not in normal life. He just accepts things the way they are. If he needs to know something about them someone will tell them to him or he will figure it out by himself.

Behind the mask of a mindless soldier lies Gavin's intelligence. Depite the fact that it seems like he doesn't use it much, Gavin has always had his wits about him which helps him tremendiously in the field along with his special set of abilities as a Sound Release user. Gavin doesn't like to flounder his intelligence. Not one for attention, Gavin prefers to be the silent figure behind the screens. And if keeping the realm safe means that he has to murder then that is what it is going to take. Honor and pride are concepts he understands, just not always adheres to.

Gavin is then not the most social person. He can work with anyone that he needs to work with and generally can communicate easily with everyone, but only a few can actually call him a friend. This is not because of his dislike of people, but rather because he knows that as an ANBU keeping friends might be difficult. He often works solo, which suits him just fine, meaning he is away from the city for longer periods of time.

DN3p4.png

History:

Gavin was the only child of Sadao and Izumi Otonari, a normal couple of shinobi who had moved to the country side when they had learned they were going to have a baby. Not wanting their son to grow up in the business of the city, they raised their child within the endless hills of the land of Lightning, making the soft grass and steep rocks his home before they made him familiar with the life in the city.

Yet when they did eventally move back to the city they fell back in their old routine. His parents went back into the military and Gavin went to the Academy. He was a bright student though not one that stood out overly much. Despite him trying to keep his skills mostly to himself his teacher noticed the brightness in the boy and gave him some extra excercises to work with. Soon he would graduate and move into his first team. Thoughout the years he proved himself to be a strong fighter and a good ally. He had a perfect mission record and his skill with Sound Release kept growing.

When Gavin was 17 he met a girl, her name was Ren. And she was really pretty. The two spent a couple of quality nights together and figured that they would spent some more quality time together when the war was over. The war stopped all the plan as it always did. Already a Specialized Jounin at the time Gavin was already sent on some pretty high ranked missions often taking the lead and often ending up by himself. But he fought. And his parents fought. And by some miracle they all survived. And they returned home. It was then that Gavin found out that those couple of nights had made a father out of him. 21 now, Gavin was met with the face of his daughter for the first time: Yumiko. Already four, the girl had grown up with the message that someday her father might come home from the battlefront, yet when he did there was a strangeness between the two as if they both didn't know how to react to one another. Yet this awkwardness quickly faded and for a year Gavin spent his days in peace with his now wife and child. It was pretty good. He didn't expect to be a father that young, but wasn't one to object. Life was short, war had taught him that.

But that peace in his life wouldn't last. Gavin had remained on active duty and had spent some exceptional days in the field so much that the current Raikage, Genmyou, selected him to be an ANBU. There was not really a question whether he would accept it or not, the Raikage decreed it so to be. He needed Gavin for special operations. With the heavy news Gavin returned home. He knew perfectly well that as an ANBU under Genmyou he was not expected to have any form of personal connections which means that having a family was out of the question.

Leaving his family, his daughter, his wife, was the hardest thing Gavin had ever done and it would be the hardest thing he would ever do. He did it though. He told his wife that he couldn't be her husband any longer. He was pretty sure she understood in some way why, but not in others. Closing the door of his house for the last time was something he would long repeat in his dreams.

Gavin spent many years being an ANBU, performing to the best of his abilities. He didn't feel any resentment towards the Raikage for taking him away from his family for in a way this was the best way he could protect them from everything. If them being safe meant not being around them then that was a price he would pay. Yet it hurt. Among the ANBU he did not have many friends, but over time he gained a couple of close comrades. Yet, more and more he was sent out to do solo missions.

As the reign shifted away from Genmyou and to a new Raikage and then another, Gavin found the rules regarding ANBU slightly slackening. No longer were ANBU expected to completely abandon their personal life. It was a nice sentiment, but it was a bit too late for Gavin. He had already given the country everything he had and he knew that Ren had moved on. He had seen it on the countless nights he had observed his old house from the distance using Sound Release to hear the voices he missed so much. He would always keep an eye on them.

There is still no resentment within Gavin's mind. After so many years as a highly valued ANBU he has gained an understanding of his life and yet he feels like he has lost himself as well. Ren and Yumiko keep him tied to his past and yet he is no longer that man. He is more the ANBU now, the Silent Hunter was the name he received. More an ANBU than an actual man. All that is left to figure out is where that will bring him in the end.

Custom Jutsu

Name of Technique: Sound Release: Alter Voice
Type of Jutsu: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Self
Nature Type: Sound Release
Handseals: Ox
Description: After making the seal Gavin uses his chakra to alter his vocal chords to the point where he can alter his own voice for quite an extended period of time making this the perfect technique to go with the basic disguise technique which only works with appearance. Gavin can imitate all kinds of sounds rather exceptionally.
Weakness: Too much tamping with one's own vocal chords is never good for one's vocal chords. Technique should therefore not be overdone or used for too long or it will damage them permanently. Normally it is just a sore throat though.

====================

Name of Technique: Sound Release: Sound Barrier
Type of Jutsu: Defensive
Rank: C
Range: Self
Nature Type: Sound Release
Handseals: Rat - Ox
Description: While holding the ox hand seal with one hand, Gavin punches with his right hand coated in Sound Chakra, emitting a sound wave straight forward. The sound waves are large and effect air pressure. Incoming projectiles bend away and are steered off course, effectively missing there target. Maximum distance is 5 meter
Weakness: Sound waves only change the flight path of incoming weaponry. This doesn't stop other ninjutsu, such as a fire ball

====================

Name of Technique: Sound Release: Piercing Clash
Type of Jutsu: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Mid
Nature Type: Sound Release
Handseals: Ram - Tiger - Ox
Description: After performing the needed handseals, Gavin reaches for a metalic throwing projectile (preferably his Senbon). The chakra quickly infuses into weapon and Gavin proceeds to throw it at an opponent. Once projectiles clash into solid surface (preferable another metallic or stone object- which provides optimal sound creation) chakra amplifies the sound waves created in the clash. Chakra within the weapon is released and greatly intensifies sound. The sound generated only reaches a maximum of a 5 foot radius, which is why Gavin will want the projectile to be blocked by his opponent. The five foot radius is sufficient to harm the opponent and cannot be increased in anyway. The opponent who falls for this move will suffer searing pain in their ear, minor disorientation, and the inability to hear for a short while.
Weakness: Projectiles can be avoided. Projectiles must hit a solid surface. Effectiveness decreases with distance. Maximum distance 20 meters.

====================

Name of Technique: Sound Release: Broken Ear
Type of Jutsu: Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Close
Nature Type: Sound Release
Handseals: Ram - Tiger - Ox
Description: Almost identical to Sound Release: Piercing Clash, but then reworked for close combat. Chanelling Sound Chakra through his hands Gavin punches either the air close to his opponent's ears or the ears itself, causing the opponent's eardrums to be hurt. The opponent is deafened for a short while, and feels intense pain in their ear drums.
Weakness: Area close to the ears must be hit. If another part of the body is hit then there will be no effect.

====================

Name of Technique: Sound Release: Intercept
Type of Jutsu: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Mid
Nature Type: Sound Release
Handseals: Dragon - Monkey - Horse - Ox
Description: Gavin forms the hand seals, channeling Sound Chakra around them. Gavin then releases this chakra towards their target. Whenever the target makes a sound or speaks, the sound will be transmitted through a curved sound wave not around them, like normal, but down a direct path to the Gavin's ear, allowing him and only him to hear what the target says. This technique may be used in a 40 meter range around Gavin. This technique lasts for only a short while.
Weakness: Has to stay still for this technique.

====================

Name of Technique: Sound Release: Sound Fist
Type of Jutsu: Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Self
Nature Type: Sound Release
Handseals: N/A
Description: Coating his hands in Sound Chakra, Gavin punches an enemy. If hit the enemy will feel the punch resonate through his or her whole body due the fact that the sound waves continue to course through the body.
Weakness: It's a punch. You can dodge it.

====================

Name of Technique: Sound Release: Jelly Leg
Type of Jutsu: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Mid
Nature Type: Sound Release
Handseals: Hare - Dragon - Horse - Monkey - Ox
Description: Gavin forms the hand seals, channeling Sound Chakra into his palms. He then slams their palms against the ground, releasing the chakra in a burst that races across the ground towards the opponent at high speed. This burst makes no visible impression, making it hard to dodge. When this burst strikes it forcibly vibrates the opponents ligaments and tendons, making it almost impossible for the user to walk, run, or jump for a short period of time. This technique has a range of 20 meters.
Weakness: There is no difference between friend of foe. If an ally is caught up in the blast there is nothing Gavin can do about it.

====================

Name of Technique: Sound Release: Ripple Guard
Type of Jutsu: Defensive
Rank: B
Range: Close
Nature Type: Sound Release
Handseals: Bird - Boar - Horse - Dragon - Monkey - Ox
Description: Gavin forms the hand seals forcing Sound Chakra into his hands. He then forces their hands against each other in a clap. Causing a burst of sound waves to erupt in a half-dome around him, expanding before him in a powerful shield that can repel Ninjutsu and Taijutsu of B rank or lower and blow it back five meters.
Weakness: Cannot repel Genjutsu's. Techniques of a higher level will go straight through and will then most likely hit Gavin as he won't be in time to dodge.

====================

Name of Technique: Sound Release: Shield Burst
Type of Jutsu: Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Close
Nature Type: Sound Release
Handseals: Bird - Boar - Rat - Ram - Tiger - Monkey - Ox
Description: Gavin forms the hand seals, channeling Sound Chakra into his hands. He then strikes a solid object like rock, metal, or wood, sending the vibrations erupting through it, disintegrating the material and causing it to break apart.
Weakness: Since it is meant to break apart things like rock and metal, the technique will not work on living organisms. Also it might not always been the most silent technique to use seeing as falling objects have a tedency to make sound when they hit the ground.

====================

Name of Technique: Sound Release: Sound Shadow Clone
Type of Jutsu: Defensive
Rank: A
Range: N/A
Nature Type: Sound Release
Handseals: Ram - Ox
Description: Gavin forms the characteristic hand seal, creating a tangible clone through the use of the Shadow Clone Technique. This clone, however, is filled with elemental sound chakra, and when destroyed will suddenly burst apart in a targeted shock of about ten meters, imbuing the sound energy into the foe that destroyed it, violently vibrating their cellular structure and dealing serious internal damage.
Weakness: As with a regular Shadow Clone it divides the chakra of the user over the clones meaning that making one of these clones will cost Gavin a significant portion of his chakra reserves.

I make people do things all the time. It is basically my job, study and hobby. Anyhow, accepted by me.

I was close.

But if it's fine by you I may try to think of something generic for this.

No specific speciality, just a good all-rounder of sorts, you know?

We're glad to see you're still alive, Glitch. There is only one worry point that the GM team has with your request to return. In the past you weren't the most active and had to be told several times that you had to do something in regards with freezing up others or just being non-existant in the RP. Right now we're going to consider it, but it would be appreciated if you would contact a GM and explain how you're going to be active, cause we do still uphold the not-open-door-policy (what a mouth full). Which means that after leaving after 3 times or being quite inactive before leaving etc that we won't be keen on allowing somebody back.

Hope you understand this and of course, hope that you've a great day after reading this.
