Stella was not a first-timer when it came to teleportation.

Still, it was always quite the ride. Figuratively and literally.

She felt shivers upon her entire body as it re-materialized at Simon's chosen position. Nonetheless, her mind quickly re-adjusted to the situation at hand. Apparently the shade-replicates had some degree of manual control involved, but perhaps not fully. Too much mental overload for minute control? In any case, the leader's line of play was correct. What a joy it was to work with a professional at your side.

While Simon chose a more brash way to deal with the fire-orbs, Stella opted for the role of patient matador. Closer, closer and closer they came, before Stella dove out of the way at the last possible moment - the heat singed, but the fire was largely avoided.

"Simon? Can you teleport other people specifically? Let's sandwich her!"

Operation: Sandwich.

"I have to touch em in order to teleport them!" Simon explained as he ported away from the fire balls. Confusing the constructs with his quick movements. "But sure, yeah, specific!" But she had to be frikkin specific in what she wanted him to do! He can bring maneuverability but he's not sure what kinda weird teamwork thing she was talking about!

Jakobs eyes would come up from watching the feed when Jericho had his minor melt down. "Seriously?" He asked with a tone of mild amusement. He looked at the screen he knew Grigorie would be looking through before turning green hues back on Jericho. "You have no clue what is going on do you? Have you been living in a box?" His arrogance was starting to get a bit annoying he imagined but for shit sake! Was Grigorie trying to get these people killed? Was he really throwing a newbie into the fray without so much as an explanation. He sighed and decided the question the young man had spoken to his new commanding officer was genuine. "Nikos has the Tainted ability to control fire - she got that ability through an encounter with a SHADE - creatures from another dimension that we at PAGAN safe guard the world against. SHADES come in many shapes and forms but that -" He pointed at the two Shade Contructs that whipped through the room. "Is simply a mimic or copy of them that Nikos had learned to project and use in battle. Seriously none of this is ringing a bell?" He almost smiled but bit it back only to say "Man you have lived a sheltered life it seems; none the less Grigorie Bane - head of all PAGAN decided you were good for this and I'm not going to question his decision. Emily will have to clue you in on more" His eyes moved back to the observation window. The music was starting to get on his nerves and he wanted to tell Seri to turn it off but this was there test afterall.

Nikos did not make an easy target to hit, she moved like a foor gymnast her body flipping and dancing across the floor as she moved out of the line of fire from Falkyn's barriage. As none of the others fired off at her - seeming to busy with her fire orbs she moved to a strategic spot in a far corner from themselves and landed in a crouch. Several of her orbs were being out
maneuvered. She also watched as Esme and Falkyn crossed paths and caused only two to collide. One each would swirl away to come after them still. Simon had fired on one and instead of being blown back it swirled and exploded the blast of heat it projected was extensive.

But no one seemed to be to worried with her baby shades. She smirked and ducked as a few more bullets came her way - that Falkyn asshole was getting close with his shots. Her hazel eyes tightened on him and she threw her right hand up to pull one of her constructs back towards him. She only had 3 orbs of fire left whizzing through the room and her one Shade, they were doing alright - however their team work was atrocious to her. She wondered herself what in the hell Mr. Bane was up to making these teams. She wasn't paying attention for a moment her eyes instinctively looking towards the glass of the observation deck where her own teammate stood.

Bad move! She ducked and rolled out of her corner pulled her shade before her as more bullet's flew at her. Her shade exploded on impact to reveal Nikos hurling a few more orbs, she was starting to run out of steam to, these 4 - one for each of them - moved slower and she has a sheen of sweat across her head now. She moved though - she had to stay actively moving as if she were a real Runner (Tainted who didn't want to be caught by PAGAN)

Ezva's calm cool demeanor was a balm to her nerves and she wanted to move closer to him but respected his personal space and only edged a little closer. The confusion radiating off Jericho now worried her and soon Emily was trying to coax Ezva out of his quiet. She had a feeling this team wasn't going to work. She reached up and rubbed her temples she was starting to get a headache - she wanted her quiet room - her meds even at this point. Part of her fought this decision though she needed to make this work or she was going to end up in purgatory. She tried to focus through the haze of confusion Jericho was projecting so broadly watch the match in the testing room but it was tough.

That was when composure seemed to drop - Jericho cracked. She blinked when he finally voiced his clueless standing on the situation and could only stare at him at first. This was her new partner... What in the fuck were they trying to do, maybe they were trying to send her to purgatory - simply get her to rage quit perhaps. She didn't have long to guess at who was the reason for their partnering though, Jakob was being an ass - practically pushing at Jericho's 'newness' to this all. She cut a glare at Jakob and her hands tightened into fists at her side. She wasn't exactly the protective type over anyone other than herself. But as they had drilled it into her since she was 12 - your partner was an extension of yourself. She wanted to tell him to cut the shit but her eyes wavered onto Maya who was still to close for her comfort.

She stood by a silent watcher instead, she had no idea how this would play out. That is until Jakob finally shut his arrogant trap - she glanced at Emily and then to Jericho. She decided to be ... helpful? "Jericho. . . A TAINTED as Jakob explained is someone who has gone through a sort of emotional scaring in the mind. It's a result from being either possessed by a SHADE and surviving, or having been in close proximity to a upper tier SHADE, those who get this scarring end up with abilites of the mind. For instance what I am and what I can do from my own SHADE experience is to control emotions - normally best through touch ... " She pulled on Ezva's calm cool demeanor - filled her mind with it let it build and then slowly she reached out and touched the back of Jericho's hand; his confusion and mild panic threatened to take the calm from her mind but after a moment's struggle she pushed through it. A calming would enter Jericho's mind a 'coolness' and stilling of his own panic - however if she scared him it would force out the calm she was projecting.

Nine times out of ten if the subject of her power was aware of the situation they would break through it with their own emotional status. She felt it was because they were aware and felt an invasion of sorts and would focus on that feeling. However - if he didn't fight it he would find his mind calming down even if only slightly - maybe she was being 'helpful' maybe she was making things all the worse. "Miss Nikos controls fire because she is a Firestarter, Ezva controls technology - all these abilities come from their minds though." She moved her hand away from his finally. "Our abilities over the past five years have become exceedingly ...'useful' for PAGAN to utilize us in the field against the SHADEs who haunt our world." She then looked back at the test going on - both her demeanor and actions were all so robotic. She had tried to help whether or not she had was beyond her understanding though.

She has to smile a little as Evza now seems to be warming up to them, if only slightly. She gets the impression he'd rather be doing other things. He'll get more used to this, she hopes. "A Technopath.. well that's very good, then. Welcome to the squad, Evza. We're happy you're with us." She says with a nod, motioning to the others.

Emily's eyes then move to the… test.. in progress for Alpha. Yes, it was something like wargames. Training using real life hazards and tactics. No simulations here, which is pretty much what she expected. Her eyes narrow as Niko's pyrokinetic abilities are ignited (so to speak), and she glances in the direction of the other TAINTED, the one she presumes will be Beta's test. Her attention drifts back to Niko as she engages Alpha.. and then Jericho freaks the hell out.

Emily calmly looks over her shoulder to Jericho.. well this isn't something she expected. She, herself, had some experience with both TAINTED and SHADE, so this isn't anything new. But it seems Jericho hasn't been properly exposed to such things. Jericho asks her for clarification.. but it is Jakob that answers for her. And in a manner she doesn't appreciate. She glances towards her team with that thought, and she makes note of Mishka's clear discomfort. Empath.. and Jericho's proximity and strong emotional outburst… she looks back to Miska, and the team layout starts to become apparent to her. Mishka falls silent, and then it's her turn to speak in a calmed tone. "SHADES are the reason we're here, Jericho. They're like no enemy you've ever faced, but we use the same tactics for them. They wish to do harm to our world and it's people, and we're to stop them. Same with the rogue TAINTED. If they choose to do harm to anyone… we sanction them. Just as we would any other enemy of freedom."

She nods to him, her brows furrowed a little. She then turns, her side facing Jakob as she watches him. "With all due respect, sir, Beta Team lead would appreciate a more respectful tone towards her squad. In spite of their experience or inexperience. We were chosen because we're the damned best." She keeps a steely gaze on Jakob, wondering if she'll be packing her bags tonight.

Then back to her team she looks as Alpha continues their trial, and she starts to walk away as she speaks to them. "Beta squad.. hang tight. I'll return in 5 minutes." And with that.. she exits the training arena, a fast pace to her walk, her boots thudding gently upon the floor. Now you could be bored with a bunch of filler here about just exactly where Emily goes and what she does. But that's as boring to write as it is to read.. so after five minutes, she returns. But her wardrobe has changed considerably…

The suit she wears is a textured black in color, form fitting. Perhaps no one will notice, but her footfalls no longer make any sound. Strapped to her hip are 2 short sword scabbards, the handles of her swords exposed and well within reach. The visor is open, exposing her face. She stops near her squad, glancing towards Alpha once more. Her gaze drifts back to Beta as she holds her hand out to them. In her hand she holds 3 small communication devices. Big enough to fit in your ear. "Each of you take one. I've programmed them so we're all on the same channel. They'll do for now. When we go out into the field we'll upgrade. Now.. if I'm wrong in all of this, we'll find out very quickly. So be prepared to adapt if we need to. Jericho" she looks to him as she takes a slow and deep breath. "These are just enhanced enemies. Beings with extraordinary weapons, but they can be beat. We're the better soldiers, we have the will to win. So we will. I want you to start at a distance, get used to whatever patterns you can see." Her gaze then moves to Evza and Mishka. "Evza, Shka, you will stay close to Jericho. And to each other. Evza, whatever you can come up with during the fight to help, tell us. Or make it, if that works for you. You know your abilities, you know how to best help your squad. Shka" her gaze moves to Mishka as she smiles softly "Focus on Evza at the start, keep yourself even. When you see a chance, try to engage the enemy emotionally. If you can't, then don't. Don't overdo it. There are going to be plenty of time for us to overdo it in the future. Jericho.. you're their backup. All of you, watch each other's back. Stay at range for the start, move in when you think you're ready. I'll be engaging the hostile at melee range." The visor silently slides closed, the 'eyes' of the suit flashing softly for a moment. She looks between them, her voice sounding filtered now. "Opinions? We ready, Beta?"

His clear cut orders had fallen apart in a matter of seconds. Wonderful. Now, the rest of his team was messing about. Guess he had to do it himself. After he finished reloading, he pulled the charging handle then charged right for her and the incoming fireball.

"Suppress her, don't give her any space to run," he ordered his team. "Someone else get close, so we can box her in," he added. He felt the heat grow, and sweat bead on his face as he and the fireball closed on a collision course. That was, until, he pulled a patented Falkyn deLacy solution.

Just before impact, he dropped. Sliding under the fireball and across the ground towards the TAINTED. As he cleared underneath, he fired twice to the right of their target to get her to stop. His feet hit the wall, and he laid the sights of his rifle on her head. "Why don't you call it a day?" He asked the TAINTED.

"Guess that'll be me." He was the fastest naturally. So with his powers, he ported around the fireballs trying to box him in. Closing in fast on Niko's other side, Simon gave her no exit as he boxed her in. Popping out the exhausted rounds from his shot gun and popped in two more. "Listen to the man babe! You ain't got nowhere to run!" And if she does run, he'll catch her. You can't run from a teleporter so long as he can see you.

Jericho
The responses that Jericho received for his questions were more, condescending then he anticipated. Jakob was a complete dick about his lack of knowledge. While he did answer his question about the woman on fire, he explained some things he already knew. What kind of idiot didn't know what a SHADE was? They learned that in like grade school. But what pissed him off the most was the comment about being sheltered. He bit back the urge to argue with Jakob on that point. Jericho had seen war on a side no normal person should ever seen. He killed more people that he could count, all in the name of God and country. What right did Jakob have to call him sheltered? Even as his frustration and anger began to boil, Jericho still kept his poker face, deciding it best to continue to act calm.

It wasn't until Mishka out of all people came to his rescue that he finally learned what these TAINTED were. She went on to explain that she was a TAINTED and could control emotions. While Jericho didn't really understand that meant at first, he was surprised when she touched his hand. Suddenly a rush of coolness washed over him, as if he was taking a warm shower. He was no longer worried about his lack of information, instead he felt relieved. Jericho was caught off guard at first, but he embraced this new wave of emotions. He felt a peace for the first time in a long time. He continued to listen as she explained the others powers, controlling technology for Esva and fire for Nikos.

Eventually, Jericho broke through and was back with his own emotions. It wasn't that he was scared of what had just happened, he just didn't know what would happen with long term exposure to emotions that weren't his own. Back to his normal self, he nodded at Mishka and whispered, "Thanks for that." With Mishka finished, Emily began to speak up. She explained the situation in a more clear cut manner. They were the good guys; the SHADES and rouge TAINTED were the bad guys. End of story. But what Jericho appreciated the most was that she stood up for him, challenging Jakob on behalf of him. This was a leader he could work with. As she stepped out, he brought his attention once more to the combat.

After about five minutes, she returned decked out in a dark black exo-suit. For the first time that day, something didn't totally faze him. Back in his special forces days, there were rumors going around that a new exo-suit was being developed for stealth missions. Not to his surprise, they never got any, something he attributed to budgeting. Never did Jericho expect to see one, not to mention work along side one. This day might actually get better. With everyone gathered, she laid out the general gameplan for the mission ahead. While her and the others were to go whatever TAINTED head on, Jericho was placed on the backlines as backup, no surprise there. Putting the new ear piece on, he pulled on his pistol, cocked it and replied, "All set here Ma'am."

She didn't really care about the fact that her team was not synchronised- they met on the first day and there's a wall, if not obvious, between the TAINTEDs, Simon and herself alongside the PAGAN Agents, Falkyn and Stella. In fact, there was an invisible wall between all of them. The important thing was to work their way to defeating Nikos no matter the cost. Alright then.

Esmeralda needed to make sure that Stella and herself were not hurt at the moment, considering the other males had already managed to corner the other TAINTED. "Stella, you cover Simon and I'll cover Falkyn," she said, not wanting to waste time as she aimed her twin rifles at one of the orbs, shooting at it effectively as she gradually got closer to Falkyn's side, but not too close. As one got closer to the other males who were eliminating her chances to escape, she shot twice on both rifles just as it missed their leader.

The platinum blonde then made her way closer to one of the leverage points Nikos could escape from- the bottom, as silly as it may seem but she couldn't take chances, could she? Her eyes observing the orbs that were getting too close for comfort.

Miscommunication, oh the horrors!

Amidst her informal tongue and esoteric way of speaking, perhaps her chosen tactic had been lost on Simon. Inwardly, she'd have to talk to Simon about what she meant by 'sandwich'. Perhaps she'd give it a new name too. Like Formation Pimento Cheese. Or just Formation Pimento. In any case, the opportunity was lost, which was just as well, as both Simon and Falkyn moved with lightning speed into a plan of their own.

Giving a chuckle as Esme more or less ordered her, she lifted her pistol and fired away at the orbs targeting Simon, lightning precision guiding her bullets.

Jakobs was once again ignoring the surroundings. His eyes on the holoscreen as energy levels were rising in the testing room. Emily said something to him that did catch his attention and drew a pale green icy gaze her way. "Indeed" he replied "Though respect is something I give to no one. As far as I'm concerned you are only cogs in large scheme and I haven't the time to 'Play Nice'. Get your team ready" He said with a finalizing tone and when back to his observations.

Nikos had just landed when Falkyns feet slammed into the wall around her a gun barrel aimed squarely at her face. Then Simon popped into existence on another side - another gun, eventually she was surrounded and she lifted her chin up defiantly. Maybe these larger teams would work - they had stumbled at the beginning but pulled it together at the end. However . . . Nikos wasn't ready to give it a rest, her eyes seemed to brighten a bit as the last of her fireballs were removed from the air.

She widened her stance and was ready to do an all out explosion of fire from around her body - however as she began to charge up her always present partner Demitri cut into her mind ~Enough Nikos, this is only a test - we're not to kill them and we have more pressing issues in China-Town. Proclaim their win. Its my turn~

Nikos seemed suddenly crestfallen and thought back at him ~Yeah Yeah You just want to play to! Spoile Sport!!~ She flashed the Alpha team a bright smile and the heat in the room dropped "I concede you all win" She even lifted her hands in a defeated gesture and then shrugged her shoulders while looking to the observation window "Your Alpha Team passes Doc." She waited for them to part a little and sauntered out one hand on her gun holster - which she'd never drawn - her other tugging her fro out to readjust it's volume.

Jakob looked up at the mysterious Demitri and pointed for the door. "Stage 2 will begin when Beta team is ready" Was all he said. His hands working furiously on his holoscreen once again. He was configuring the schematic to take in Team Alpha's fast response - quick adaptability into the set. Demitri stood straight from the rail and leaning his head to either side issuing pops from his neck as he walked into the testing room.

Once there his stretched his arms and contacted Seri mentally ~Tone out the lights please; I will use a class 3 golem simulation. If they prove squirrelly enough I will work on upping the anty.~ Demitri smirked behind his blindfolded face and waited for his opponents to assemble.

Jericho had thanked her - she thought it odd for a moment but brushed the moment away and moved to the table where their weapons were being displayed. She slid four small handguns free from the surface while Jakob and Emily seemed to have a heated moment. Then her team lead made her way out of the room. She quirked a brow as she holstered her four guns and watched the end of team Alpha working on Nikos. Nikos was going easy on them. Wasn't she? She'd see much more fire power from her in the past - the firestarter may have been on a leash though. She glanced at Demitri as she 'felt' their reactions to one another - completely outside of the adrenaline fueled passion Nikos and the moment's crack in Demitri's cool calm. Surely he was a part of the reason she had gone nuclear. She shook her head this all seemed pointless to her. Besides - those in the field wouldn't take it easy on them.

She was at the moment of Emily's return debating with herself on whether or not to go all out herself in there. She didn't exactly have precision with her Empathy - though more of a ranged ability there wasn't exactly enough space between them all to not effect the group. She lifted a hand and chewed on her thumbnail slightly startled when Emily offered her the ear piece. She reached out and took the device before slowly sliding her headphones from her head to set them on the table where her guns had been - then fitted the earpiece into place. She listened as Emily explained the game plan and even offered a nod in understanding. "I will try though I don't so much have precision with my abilities. Also . . . " She glanced at Demitri as he went into the testing room. Should she even tell them? It would be a betrayal if she kept the information she had on their opponent to herself. After all they were normally briefed about what they were heading into before missions in the field. That made her logical mind up. "Demitri is a S-Class Telepath - but speaking with the mind is not his strong suit so much as his other gifts in it. He is able to force others to see what he wishes. I would almost bet he's going to project and if he does that - that room won't be there at all. Try to ignore that which he shows us." She looked at Emily blue eyes sparked with a bit of angst in the moment. She felt like she had betrayed the test but at the same time felt it more pertinent to inform and be 'Helpful' to the group.

Falkyn tightened his finger around the trigger, stopping half a gram short of release. "You do anything and I will fucking smoke you," Falkyn promised as he watched her behavior. She was getting ready to attack, and he wasn't going to have it.

Even when she called the exercise over, he kept on the trigger and kept his rifle on her head. "Back off, but keep on her," he told his team, rising and backing away slowly. He wasn't about to let his guard down. He walked backwards to the exit with the team, only backing down as they cleared the room.

"Can I get the spent casings?" He asked the technicians managing the room as they clensed it for the next team as he put his weapon over his back. He looked to the Beta team as they got ready, nodding to them, "good luck," he wished as they returned to the viewing stage.

"Okay, postmortem," he told his team, motioning for them to group up. "Good stuff, got it done, but a few things we need to improve on." He looked to Simon. "Simon, gotta be clear on what you're going to teleport, and if you're going to grab someone," he told his partner. "Other thing, I gave a few orders that weren't followed. I know it's our first outing, but I've done this for the better part of eight years, and I wanna keep everybody alive, okay?"

"I get that GI Joe." Simon shrugged a bit as he gave away his guns to the technicians. "But you also gotta get that plans will go FUBAR no matter what. So make plans within plans...Stella, don't use weird shorthand." He was inexperienced when it came to stuff like sandwich or...Whatever else Falkyn and Stella said during the rest of the thing. Did Esme understand what him and Stella talk about? He didn't. "We can just run uh...I dunno. Drills?." The one military thing he knew about for certain meant training...God he hoped so.

A stroll, when it came down to it. In any case, Stella had taken a more supportive role, which she was somewhat unaccustomed to, being typically the most senior in any engagement she was in. All the same, she was much too smiley to not be a team-player. Besides, Falkyn did wonderfully, and both Simon and Esme held their own. That latter point was something of a highlight for her; who knew that Esmeralda was such a polished operative?

Giving Simon a cheery thumbs up at the 'sandwich' remark, she made a mental note to use her big girl words, but for the most part chose to ignore the dialogue between squad-leader and the teleporter. They were all a team true, but Simon and Falkyn specifically were a unit, and Stella had no place intruding. She instead turned to her own charge.

"That was... impressive!" She began ponderously, before erupting into beams, "I had no idea you were such a big bad bad-ass, Esme! Where'd you learn all that?"

Although she wouldn't admit it, she felt slightly happy at the fact that their team made it through. She knew they would but she wasn't anticipating it exactly. The platinum blonde felt a weight of relief over her when Nikos conceded and told the R&D department head that they had passed the test. But then again, it'll only get more difficult from here, she ran a hand through her hair before stepping out of the room with her team.

"Alright, Falkyn," she replied, completely agreeing with the fact that they needed to communicate more but the only reason she voiced it out was because she felt there at least needed to be a voice of agreement to the leader of their squadron. She tucked her rifles back into her pants once again before turning to Stella. In all honesty, she actually didn't mind or she actually liked Stella. She was the optimism to her usual pessimism if she was to compare.

"I didn't do anything, though. I just suggested what anyone would." Esmeralda replied with a smile.

Her visor covered eyes move to Jericho as he says he's ready, and she nods to him. He had his freak out, he seems to be pulling it together. And she has little doubt their resident empath had something to do with that. She doesn't see that as a weakness of course, Jericho needing a hand there. Instead what she sees is a person wanting to help another, even if it's something as simple as helping calm them. That's what a team does, look out for one another. And not just on the fields of battle.

Her gaze then drifts to Mishka.. the child claims to not have great accuracy with her abilities. So that's something they'll have to work with in the future. She makes a mental note of that. But then Mishka does something that really surprises her. Under her visor a brow perks up with disbelief. This girl that didn't seem to want to be there is now aiding them once more. This is the second time in as many minutes she's aided her team. She's going to be an amazing addition to the squad. "Is that right?" She says, glancing over her shoulder towards Demitri. "Shka" she looks back to Mishka, appreciation and admiration in her tone "Well done." As she motions to Mishka. She then looks towards.. her voice would no longer be heard, though. She activates her suit's comms system, and now only the members of Beta would hear her voice through the earpieces. "++Beta Team.. I've little doubt he's going to want to make this fast. As much to humiliate us as to impress his keeper"++ she motions in Jakob's general direction. ++"As Shka said.. he's a telepath. Not communication, projection and manipulation."++ She now turns to face Demitri, her head bowed down a little as she continues to speak to her squad. ++"I'm going to make myself an obvious target, hopefully he'll focus on me. Whatever you see, ignore it. If it isn't this room, your squadmates or good Demitri, ignore it. I'll try to keep myself in your line of sight.. if you start to get confused, focus on me."++ She now starts towards Demitri, her hands moving to the handles of the short swords sheathed at her hip, not yet drawing them. ++"Let's roll, Beta."++ She goes into a sudden sprint, her upper body leaning forward a little as she closes in on Demitri, moving at a very fast clip. She isn't 100% sure of exactly how much experience in battle they all have, frankly. But she's confident in her own abilities.. and she knows if there is a sudden 'change in scenery', she can recognize and adapt very quickly. She'll be paying attention to exactly how the others react..

THE SECONDARY GROUP WOULD HEAD IN AND DO THEIR THING. However during the entire event Jakob's concern became increasingly apparent on his face. Nikos would lean over to peek down at his HoloPad while he typed away. He was not only monitoring the BETA groups progress but also calculating and re-calculating the figures from the first team. Errors kept popping up on his algorithm. With every error his brows further pinched and his frown slowly deepened. When the BETA team concluded their test he excused them from the testing area and called out Esme, Emily, and Ezra were to report to front desk and be debriefed. Something was a miss. He turned to talk to those left in the group after the three left. Opened his mouth to debrief when suddenly the intercoms all came to life at once.

"CODE BLACK OUT IN THE SUB ZONE! TWO LEVEL CLASS 4 STAR REAVERS HAVE MANIFESTATION AND CONTROL OVER A CLASS 3 RIOT. TEAMS TO BE DEPLOYED IN T-MINUS 2 MINUTES" the voice was young and overly bright any who'd been on the compound before would recognize the young Seer Sibyl's voice anywhere. Other who did not would possibly question such a young voice barking out the commands.

If any of the remainder members of the teams made to move out at the command of the young Seer Jakob would hold up a hand to halt them. "Demitri - Nikos go; take with you two other teams you are on point" He said before looking back to those still assembled from team Beta and Alpha. Nikos and Dimitri swiftly left.

"Alright after all my work here I believe the best route is those standing before us. You have all passed - those who were excused have failed. You five will now be out Alpha Team - Led by Falkyn - second in command will be Emily, however you will not be going out on mission tonight. We will have you continue training in our eastern wing - where you will all be living now. I suggest those of you TAINTED who live below the R&D floor to collect your things and follow your teammates. Further more I must discuss this new move with Chief Grigorie before we can O.K. you for any missions. You will all need to work on teamwork and understanding one another." He looked down to his HoloPad and barked a finalizing "Get to it" Before promptly ignoring them and going about his business.

"Alright people we have a Class 4 what do we have on the crowd control units? What's the status on our teams Move it already we haven't all night!!!" Even though he was a crude and bitter seeming man he ran the R&D department flawlessly and for the cause of protecting their grand city. He may have been a mean and cruel man but damn was he good at his job.

Falkyn sighed softly as the rest of the event played out, watching as he began to repack the magazine he had expended in their encounter. So, hidden factors had been at play, and he had met them. He wondered what the criteria had been, and he looked at a nearby camera. He knew Seri had the answers, but they didn't talk really anymore. That drew another deep sigh, before the call of an outbreak came over the loudspeakers.

Instinctively, he started to move to respond. Though things may have changed, he was still an operator, and his job here was to operate. Somebody needed operating on. However, his new team wasn't being deployed, and it struck an odd cord with him.

Right then, team bonding. And then more paperwork. Which he would have to do a lot of being the team leader. Paperwork was the reason he was still in operations, rather than taking a promotion. However, he had a responsibility now. "Mmkay, everybody gather up your personal effects and follow me," he called out, rather ignoring Jakob. Once the TAINTED members were ready, he started to lead the group back to the dorms of the place.

"Now, who's had breakfast?" he asked them as he walked, "and if you have already too bad, you're getting breakfast anyway," he called out. As they reached their block of the living quarters, he'd shrug off his weapons and jacket and move into the shared kitchen. He took out everything he needed, then looked to his team, "any allergies I should be worried about?"

The test done, the results capsulated and recorded for posterity.. it was time to move onto the next stage of being an agent of PAGAN. She stood apart from the others as some are dismissed, going over things in her head. She still wears the Shadowveil suit, the visor lifted. She absently flexes her right hand as she stands there, her head bowed down a little. Her mind obviously elsewhere.

Of course the alert catches her attention..who wouldn't pay attention? She is able to hear it through her suit's comm systems, as well as progress reports from the teams. But only what would be on the PAGAN full broadcast lines. Any guarded or classified lines she would have no access to, not yet. And with the call to arms, she starts towards the exit, wholly intending to go out also. Because that's what she's supposed to do. Trouble from SHADES… send in PAGAN. She's PAGAN.. so… wait no? She is halted, and she scowls at that instantly. She says nothing, of course. She's just a soldier, after all.

Her gaze moves to Jakob as he now addresses them, turning fully to face him, her hands held relaxed behind her back. When he says they are now Alpha, she finds herself scowling more. Not even out of squad practice and already her squad is disbanded, and she no longer in command. Oh that hurts. But she'll keep her negative thoughts to herself… her eyes move to Falkyn as he is named in command, and she nods to him. She's second in command.. but no doubt only because she's the only other one with anything resembling credentials. After Beta was disbanded, she has some doubts of her own abilities. And as they are dismissed, she says simply "Yes, sir."

Without word she now follows Falkyn as he leads them towards the living quarters, an as he stops amongst the living quarters she says "Excuse me, sir. I'm going to go change." Without waiting for permission she turns, heading to her own quarters.

And once her door slides shut behind her, she lets out a soft sigh. She flexes her right hand a few more times, and then with her mental command the skin of her suit seems to almost shudder. The black material draws back from her skin and seems to slink itself towards her back. The tech of the suit can best be described as nanites, atom sized robots. And upon her back, her upper back, a small harness rests with 2 small pods upon it. Very discrete, hard to even tell she is wearing such a thing under her clothes. The suit is deactivated, and she is left standing in her civilian wear. She glances to the door as she moves to her duffle bag, rummaging through it for a moment. She takes a small vial from it, one that seemed to be hidden rather well. Her head draws back and she holds one of her eyes open, holding the vial over her head. Depressing a small button on it, it sprays a mist into her eye. And almost immediately she copies the action with her other eye. A sharp, short breath is drawn in as she shudders, and she lets out a slow breath. She glances to her right hand, no longer feeling discomfort there. She quickly replaces the vial into her bag, and she stuffs her bag under her bed before she moves back to the door. She was only just assigned to these quarters, but she's confident no one would go through them. She would find out if someone had…

Returning to her team 5 minutes later (almost the same amount of time it took when she went to put her suit on, though clearly it doesn't take 5 minutes), she smiles a little as she stops near them. "Ready for chow, sir. Can I make anything? Do anything to help?"
