Masami Hyuuga
Konohagakure Chuunin
Team 9

Masami realized she was talking in a less friendly tone, but pushed the though to the back of her mind - there was no time for it. She had to admit that Kouta's plan had some chance of success in it, and as herself did not have any plans it was their best shot. " That might work. A large crowd will be suspicious, but a lone child could work. But first, we need to find him! And that might not be an easy task. We need to think out of the box on this one. Ordinary approaches will not work on Hiron-Sensei! But we can pull it of, just ... give me a second please. "

Masami started to think about anything and all things she knew about Hiron-Sensei. A battle hardened man, a shrewd man, a man who was thinking entirely out of the box. Masami was sure he was not hiding in the literal meaning of the word. He was located in a place where he can be easily found, but you have to look the right way. She did not have to think about their teacher himself, she had to think about his likes, his dislikes and what characterizes him. When she thought about Hiron, she also thought about Kiyomi, a person he had a deep connection with.

Kiyomi, one of the greatest and most interesting persons she knew. Her uprising, her mind blowing rate of growth were astounding to behold, especially given her origins and ... her origins! It was a wild guess, and Masami might be wrong - and if she was wrong, their only chance of finding him was gone. " I just come to a strange connection - and it does not make sense, but I know it can be right! When I think about Hiron Sensei, I have to think about Kiyomi! Kiyomi has roots to the Sarutobi clan! If we can think about something typical for them, a place ... ", she made the Ram seal and activated her Byakugan, " ... we can find him! And if he is at that place ... I will find him!"

15th November,

The temperatures start to really become colder. Winter is just around the door and in the northern territory of the known world snow is already falling from the sky, gently and slowly started to already cover parts of the world with a white blanket. In the warmer parts of the world gloomy weather seems to make a more occasional entrance. Heralds warn people to cloth themselves warm and prepare for a stern winter as most do note that the last days of Autumn have been quite colder than the previous few years. Several people even claim that the approaching winter will be the worst winter that has passed in decades, judging by all kind of omens and signs.

The Republic,
Kirigakure - The capital of the Republic.

With Team 14's discovery during their mission of investigating several warehouses and transport of wares in the early hours of the day, a group of the Demon Shark unit was sent to apprehend the wares so that the found corpses could be taken and investigated - possibly uncovering the origin of the corpses and the purposes. As the send out group moved in to seize the suspected wares and arrested the spotted workers and guard that also worked by that time it turned out that the report of Team 14 didn't seem to be on par with reality.

No contraband had been found after the extensive search of the Demon Sharks group.

With this those arrested were soon released as official apologies were made to the public, leading to some discontent elements of the people to become louder with their suspicion that the Republic's higher up were going the same way that the Mizukages and Water Daimyo had been heading. Various protests were held on some islands under the Republic's control. While the protests did not lead to any wounded or property damage it started to issue a grim and tense atmosphere through the country. Talks of that some of the officials of the Republic's echelon that had gone corrupt and power hungry, the Suzu clan coming back and some rumours that this was all a devious plot of the Akinian Empire to sow dissent and making them more vulnerable to an invasion spread.

An increase in guards and police was quickly noticed. Heralds that have the task to spread the news and inform the citizens of the Republic of the government's decision soon enough were praising the fact that the citizens of the Republic were blessed with the fact that they lived in a nation that allowed them to be free. While various propaganda and other actions were taken to ensure that the discontent elements wouldn't rise up, strange reports of the dead being alive started to surface.

Akinian empire,
Amegakure, the capital of the Rain Province.

After the attack on the Imazaki post office peace started to slowly to return. Various people have started to show anger and distrust towards the Shinobi corps as various wounded were the result of the intervening Shinobi. Not to mention that there have been tales and eyewitnesses who claim to have seen two cases of an attack on wounded and civilians being committed by the shinobi of the Rain province. Some who desired to be heard have bribed public heralds to tell the people to vote on Watanabe Robun. The candidate for the position of the Amekage, effectively the governor of the Rain province and Fourth Major general position, started to gain more popularity with the known fact of his dislike of the influence and power that the shinobi corps have.

More than cases of where the populace seemed to be more repulsive towards the generic shinobi and kunoichi who hadn't won the trust of the people started to come in with the administration. A few fist fights broke out at various pubs, taverns and inns between serving elements in the shinobi corps in the Rain province and the civilians.
Problems started to become worse afterwards. While the rates of crime started to become less prominent, reports about intimidating groups have been sighted on the poorer parts of the city. No violence was reported upon the sighting of the appearing large gangs but it didn't take long before it started.

In the morning various streets would be filled with screaming and panicking people. Various groups have been sighted with small arms that have started to riot, attacking anybody who dares to resist as the groups have started to attack shops and locations of people that have been publicly known to be supportive of the Amegakure shinobi.

While the police are tending to quell the various scenes where hostile groups are bringing chaos to the poorer districts there has also been a distress message from the Housha compound, not too far away from the city. The attacks aren't to be taken lightly as the numbers of attacks has spread the forces of the local authorities thin, making it hard to quell the hostile armed groups.

Lightning Country

The news that the late Daimyo, Yasuhide Ranzaki, had been murdered has spread like wildfire from the country's capital Ranzaki - post. Many are in doubt on who is to be held responsible for the murder, but some claim that it was Keitaro Ranzaki - the eldest son of Yasuhide. Ever since the body of the late daimyo had been found Keitaro has vanished into the thin air together with his most entrusted bodyguard. Which has only raised suspicion that it was Keitaro attempting to succeed his father faster. Yet there are enough who have a different claim. There are those who believe that this was a political move of the Fifth Raikage to establish control over the country and become the ruler of the nation himself. Various heated debates in pubs, taverns and inns have led to aggression and the need for the local authorities to jump in to prevent it from escalating.

With the sighting of snow falling from the sky, many people are also focusing on preparing for the coming winter. Together with the ongoing developments as more troops have been sending to the eastern continent has led to the rumours that Keitaro is amassing an army in the east. While the government tries to calm down the tension and fear for a civil war between the reigning feudal lord Shigeko Ranzaki with his regency council and Keitaro with his supporters, the attempts haven't really managed to get the fear out of the citizens of the northern realm.

Fewer traders are eager to head south to do business and many families don't allow their children to play outside after the afternoon. As tension and fear start to rise among the population, many try to shoot a prayer for a not violent future at night while others have already started to sharpen their weapons.

Aiko Cho
Cho Clan leader | Civic council member | Team 8 jounin |Amegakure

The past few days had gone without much difficulty. Patrols would be the norm of the group, that was under Aiko's command. As the jounin would study the files and requested information - provided by Eiji Emiya - the others would continue to do their rounds as well several scouting assignments in order to try to find more information about the source of the weird corpses, the insurgents of Soru and the Zealots. Only they did not have much luck and judging by the ongoing developments Aiko wagered that their time of doing their vocation in a low profile would soon end.

Studying once more the profiles and information Aiko was also brought aware by the Dragon Lotus communication and the network of the 'progress' that had occurred in Keishi. The woman had relayed a message back and had yet to share some more information with Eiji. Not that she didn't trust him, but passing information too soon could raise suspicion. Then again she wondered if the centralisation of the Empire had led that the other administrative centres such as the provincial capitals had files of those who served in other regions. Deciding that her curiosity could be settled later when they were done with the mission. Aiko was about to turn on her earphone communicator to round up her group. It was now the time that they would find more out about various people she had been studying.

Only as she made her way to the exit of the headquarters of the Intelligence Division office the woman came to a halt. The sight of police and guards running through the streets, which she saw through a window made Aiko narrow her eyes. Instantly she raised her right hand to her ear, switching the device and setting it to channel C.

"Ready up. Something is wrong. Prepare for the worst, this is not a drill." The woman said with a stern tone, starting to walk in a quick pace. "Full gear this time. Again, not a drill." Aiko stated. She soon enough entered the street and threw a look where the group of guards and police officers had run off to. Several slim pillars of smoke in the distance made it clear that something was amiss. As she turned around the colour of Aiko's face started to pale, spotting various slim pillars of smoke as well. The zealots were attacking so many locations in one go?

"Koike, gather up a group of you, Kat and Shizu. Make way to the home of the Amekage assistant. Secure that as fallout base. The others? Meet me at point Delta as soon as you can!" Aiko ordered, turning as she would no longer walk. Picking up her pace she started to run to the meeting point. Which was a location that had been dubbed as point Delta, which was to the south of Amegakure, on top of a rooftop of a warehouse in which cloth and textile products were stored for the local markets.

[fieldbox=Hiraku Hyuuga]

Hiraku frowned as he heard instructions coming through the communicator. It must be really bad if we're not worried about being covert anymore... He got all of his stuff together, preparing for the worst. He thought about checking to make sure everyone that had been part of their group on the way there was okay, but clearly he, along with them, had a mission to do. He began his foray into the chaos that was once simply a rain-drenched village.

Hiraku had picked up speed and run as quickly as possible towards the location upon seeing the amount of chaos within the village. He knew it would be bad in some way, but he hadn't expected panicking in the streets. He had, at several points, wished he could stop to help people, but knew that in this case, following orders would be the quickest, and most helpful way, to fix whatever was specifically going on. Upon finding his way onto the rooftop of the warehouse, he looked to Aiko, "Is there anything I can do to help right away?"

Tomiko | Konohagakure Team 2 Genin | Amegakure

Hearing the instructions coming through the communicator, Tomiko felt chills run down her spine at the stern tone and new orders. So they were no longer under orders to stay concealed? Something must have been wrong, and Tomiko felt a wave of fear hit her. Was she ready for this? To face whatever might come their way today? Would she instead just prove herself a coward and run? The girl nervously swallowed as she went about getting herself prepared to deploy. As she gathered her gear, Tomiko felt the fear eating away at her, fear of what was to come. As she thought about these things, she recalled the words of both Aiko and Saki; though at different times respectively, on the topic. She also recalled the way she had been sent back here after being terribly spooked when working with Koike. How useless and terrible she had felt after that. Were she to continue letting the fear eat away at her, then it would be more of that feeling.

Tomiko was done being useless.

The girl had just finished grabbing her gear, when something caught her gaze. The old half-mask that she used to wear, apparently she had decided to bring that with her. Reaching down and grabbing the fabric, she thought for a brief moment before putting the mask on. Pulling it up to cover the lower half of her face. While she might be scared, the mask had always helped her hide and control her emotions. Because if nobody else could see them, then they were much easier for her to control. At least in Tomiko's mind, and it had always seemed to work. With that, the girl set out towards point Delta. Along the way, the girl noticed the smoke and amount of police moving through the streets. Her eyes grew wide at it all, but she focused in on making her way to the destination. Quickly, the girl made a small handsign and felt the Byakugan activate as her vision extended. She kept an eye out for the odd chakra signature she had encountered before, wondering if that was linked to what was happening today.

Making her way quickly to the rooftop, Tomiko allowed her Byakugan to deactivate. Looking first towards Hiraku with a small nod, before turning her attention to Aiko. "It doesn't look good out there, I tried to use Byakugan on the way here to see if that odd flux I encountered before was around and linked to this, but saw nothing of the sort. Is there anything I can do to help right now?" The girl said towards Aiko, attempting to keep her voice even and calm. It did waver slightly, betraying a small amount of fear the girl had; yet she tried to keep it calm to show she could still be useful.[/hr][/fieldbox]

Kazumo Sarutobi - Genin Team 8

Alone in the room gave him the needed quiet time to read without disturbance, his choice of literature was on the Hon. A simple book detailing their culture. Something he knew a fair bit about, but if he were to gain their favor in the long run, he would need to know more than a fair bit. He had several book like this that he needed to read about, luckily he had plenty of time to read them, just not today however. As about thirty minutes into the book a signal from sensei went off to meet at point delta and to be prepared fully for it. His first instinct went to their encounter with whatever that monster man was, yet as he looked out the window he saw smoke everywhere in the city. "What the hell?" He muttered before getting his gear ready.

His gear consisted of all his tools, the jacket and arm guards his sensei gave him, and the bow he was never allowed to bring outside. With himself fully prepared her rushed outside and sure enough panic was ensuing, screams were ringing out everywhere. This seemed way more than a seemingly indestructible enemy. What was going on in Amegakure, were more shinobi blowing up stuff again? No this seemed way more reckless than something like that, it was going on everywhere. Was it the people?

Running nonstop to the meeting point he climbed to the roof and saw Tomiko and Hiraku. The Hyuuga siblings, well no need for them to cover their eyes anymore, he caught Tomiko asking what she could do to help, but sensei would get to that. Thats why she told them to meet up here after all. He however got his bow ready with an arrow notched just to be fully prepared, instead of asking pointless question he kept a lookout for anyone that seemed intent on doing more damage then good.[/fieldbox]

Harada Toshi and Miu Sanosuke | Team 3 Genin | Sky-Wolf Country Border Encampment

Miu awakens and Toshi breaks her out of the medical tent to get her mail.

Inside a medical tent near the back, rested a bandaged up Miu who was still unconscious since the battle that took place. She had a nurse come and check up on her for a few seconds every now and then but never for a long period, too many injured to focus all your time on one woman. Yet Miu started stirring slightly as her eyes opened slowly, taking in the ugly color of the tent's ceiling. When she went to move her body, she felt pain shoot through her causing a little yelp to escape her. She then glanced down at herself in which her body had bruises where it wasn't bandaged. Her leg seemed to have a splint going on, most likely from when it got sliced open. Although she couldn't see it, she could feel some bandages on her forehead.

Her head moved to the side to see not a nurse but to see Toshi was was sleeping with his feet propped up on another chair while his arms were crossed. She just laid there staring before a nurse came over and was smiling. "You finally awaken? Well that's a good first step. Here take some pain medicine." The woman said holding out a cup of water and a pill. Miu reached out with her arm that wasn't ungodly sore and took the pill, popping it into her mouth, followed by taking the water and downing both the pill and the entirety of the water.

The nurse smiled again before looking at Toshi and flicking his ear. "How many times do I have to tell you? Stop using the furniture as your personal foot rest!" She said before sighing and walking away to help another injured soldier.

Jolting awake at the pain in his ear, Toshi looked toward the nurse as she scolded him with a slight grin and let out a meek laugh, "Well it's not like you've actually stopped me yet Miss." he said as the Nurse made her way out of the room. He stretched his arms above his head and let out of a yawn before slowly stretching his neck first to the left, then to the ri--

"Miu..." his eyes focused for a second as if to confirm what he was seeing, "You're up!" he said as he sat forward in his seat, "Don't go giving us a scare like that again, you're actually the only one who hasn't woken up since the battle." he said matter-of-factly as he waved a finger in the air, "Rather impressive really... But I think I know why." he offered a sly grin before he leaned in a bit closer and began to speak a bit softer.

"It's all that ambition you don't have... Like me. We just prefer to sit around and be lazy when we can and what better time than after getting the absolute shit beat out of you right?!" he said as he held back the fist he would have hit her in the arm with as he joked.

She blinked at the odd interaction before he finally noticed she was awake, and the first words she hears from him is that she was the only one that was still unconscious. Yet he seemingly knew why so she folded her arms and looked at him with a frown starting to form. So when he said it she tried hiding a smile from his stupid answer. "Geesh thanks Toshi. I can't slide one past you now can I? Although getting the shit beat out of me wasn't exactly planned. Yet I was the last one to wake up? What happened while I was unconcious then?"

Pushing his chair back on two legs, Toshi took a moment to think about what had happened since they battle had taken place. He decided to leave out the part about becoming something of a hero and the questioning from the officers afterward and just resigned to talk about the mediocre everyday camp life, "Well for one, the camp is about as busy as ever. Everyone seems like they're preparing for something, even if nothing has happened recently." he paused and let out a sigh, "The older guys seem like they know something big is coming, even if no one has gone out and said it... And I mean you can't really blame that, after what we faced out there."

Turning to face the dividing curtain between Miu and the rest of the patients Toshi stood up and walked to the edge of her gurney with a mischievous look gracing his features.

"Hey hey... Think you're up for a bit of a walk, I'm sure it'll be worth it." the smile on his face growing wider by the second, Toshi reached a hand out to help Miu out of bed.

She noticed him thinking about what to tell her first which only worried her. How long was she out for? Yet could they even prepare for something like that? If it wasn't for the reinforcements that came, they very well may all be sleeping forever. She nodded at his words though and was prepared to ask what else was new when her face showed signs of worry, when his showed signs of pure evil. "W-what are you..."

She spoke little before he was at the edge of where she laid with his plan coming out to the open. She looked at her leg then back to him and shook her head. "I don't think tha- Wah! Toshi stop!" Yet her beckoning did no good as he got her to standing up, with her putting most of her weight on him. "When I'm healed, I am breaking your legs, then I'm going to make you walk on them!" She said trying to keep from tripping over herself.

Laughing at Miu's threat, Toshi simply took a bit more of her weight on himself and started for the curtains that separated her small room from the rest. Peeking his head through and taking a quick look to make sure that there were no nurses in sight, Toshi shook his and started for the exit.

"Alright alright, I'm sure it'll be good fun trying not to get my legs broken by you, and great practice for you to figure out how to tell the difference between a water clone and a person." he joked as they exited the tent into the waning light of day. "Okay Miu, there's a big convoy of wagons that came in earlier. I managed to snag a lot of equipment from them and I've heard that they've actually got letters from home for most of us." he said a bit longingly at the last part.

"Long story short, we're getting your mail!" he said as enthusiastically as ever before starting off slowly in the direction of the wagons, being sure to not over exert the injured Miu.

She grumbled as they made a not so sneaky exit, lucky for him the nurses were busy. "Yeah but at the end of the day. One will run out of chakra to make the water clones, and eventually the legs that get broken will be real." She said before he told her about the convoy of wagons that arrived carrying letters and equipment, that he apparently snagged a lot from. This caused a confused look to surface on her face as she looked at him. "You snagged a lot of equipment? What for? They also just let you snag a lot? Our security might need to be bumped up...."

Yet she was informed that they were going to go get her mail, which caused a somewhat blank expression mixed with annoyance. "You drag me injured and all to go get something you could have simply brought to me..... Breaking an arm too now."

As they continued she would overhear some gossip on the arrival of the Republic. "Okay, so last to awaken, things are being planned for, mail and you being a klepto, and the Republic is here. Anything else you need to tell me about there?"

His brow furrowing in thought, Toshi pondered the goings on of the past few days a bit more before a blank expression came across his face, "Nope. That about sums it all up, and I didn't steal anything. They gave it to me. Willingly."

As Toshi walked along holding up Miu he used his free arm to pull his scarf farther up his face before they approached the more crowded part of the camp around the wagons, "Wait, there is one thing." he said a bit apprehensively, "I'm somewhat of a hero now... It's really a pain." he sighed as they turned a corner and the wagons were suddenly in sight not so far off. "So what do you think you got? Any mail?" he asked changing the topic to something less annoying than his sudden stardom.

"I didn't get anything from my family, they're all too busy working to send me a letter right now." he said with a short laugh before nudging Miu in her side with his elbow, "Come on now, I want to at least live vicariously through somebody who's family shows some compassion for them." he teased.

"If you say so." She spoke as they continued along getting to a more crowded area, which caused him to lift his scarf up a bit. This rose a look of suspicion from Miu, to which before she could ask the question he answered. She ended up laughing at this more so than she should, he might even take it as her thinking he was joking. "Hahaha, I get my ass kicked fighting half naked men and the baker becomes a hero. Sounds like the kind of story you tell your children to make them believe anyone can achieve something in their life."

He switched the conversation up and she let him as he didn't seem keen on talking about it. "Not sure, have to check to find out." she replied with before the nudge to her sore side causing a flinch and a little yelp to escape her lips. "Just cause I'm awake, doesn't mean that everything is healed dick." she spoke with a small glare before looking at the letters being distributed.

"Any letters for Miu Sanosuke?" She asked and the man looked through some letters and handed her one. "Well there be your answer, its probably typical parent stuff of don't get hurt, and come back alive." Miu said sighing as she motioned to find some place to relax as they read the letter.

Laughing at the comment about a typical parents worries, Toshi took Miu's cue and started to take her back int he direction they had came for a stack of crates they had passed on their way to the wagons. "What kind of parent sends a letter telling their child to come back alive, it's almost like they don't expect you to at that point." he said as they walked, "You've got a weird thought process Miu.".

Stopping in front of the crates, Toshi lifted his injured teammate up onto on of the higher stacked boxes before jumping up onto the stack next to her and immediately sitting with his legs dangling over the edge of the crate. "Alright then, get to it, and you don't have to read it out loud..." he shrugged, "I wasn't really being serious about knowing what they wrote, that's your own business." he added as he swung his legs out in front of himself.

"Mine would, considering they told me to not to do a lot of things, which went ignored. Example, don't bother the other adults Miu, as me and multiple other children bother said adults." Miu said giving a shrug at the whole weird thought process. "Says the one that took a large portion of supplies for everyone. Weird thought process for, and excessive taking for you."

As they made it to the crates with her being helped up, she started opening the letter as he sat next to her. He said she didn't have to tell him as it was her own business. She laughed a little as she looked at the contents of the letter. "Yeah it's a typical worried parent letter. Dad keeps hitting his hand with the hammer with worry, and mom keeps pricking her hand with a needle. Aha! Don't get killed or you are banished from the family! Told you!" She said pointing to the sentence proclaiming her being kicked from the family should she die.

Suppressing his look of surprise at just how much Miu and her family think alike, Toshi smiled at the idea of having a family that, despite all her shortcomings and disobedience, still had enough time to write her a letter that showed they at least cared.

With a pang of regret in his gut Toshi pulled out a single scroll and quickly laid it across his lap before unsealing its contents, "Oh yeah all the equipment that I took perfectly legally." he said as he pulled a loaf of bread from the still dissipating smoke of the unsealing jutsu and offered it to Miu, "Figured you'd be hun---"

"Are you kidding me Harada!" came a scolding voice from directly below him, Toshi sighed as the Nurse from before snatched the bread from his hand and dropped it to the muddy ground before wincing as she continued her ass-chewing "Oh no no no! No way, and you?! Miu! I thought you had more of a brain than to run off with your friend first thing once you woke up!"

Toshi just smiled as the Nurse pulled Miu off the crates and started to take her back to the medical tent despite her protests. The nurse stopped and turned her head to Toshi before she screamed in a tone that read "really upset but trying to be an adult", "And if I ever see you back in the medical tent without the loss of a limb! So help me I will give you a reason to be there!" and with that she stormed off with an injured Miu struggling as best she could.

"All in all a good day." Toshi said to himself as he remained on top of the crates watching the spectacle unfold before him.

A New Mission
Near the River and Fire Province border, Early evening

Riding on a horse from the direction of the River Province, Ino had the appearance of a simple woman with brown hair and a slightly crooked nose, both of which were part of her disguise. On the sides of the horse, held with an impressive knot were a couple rolls of fine silk, which one could only find in a couple of places in the River province.

Seeing a small tavern nearby with a decent sized group next to it, talking, Ino stopped and carefully got off the horse. After tying the fence outside of the tavern, she turned to untie the silk rolls as she noticed several people from the group begun silencing the others upon her arrival, and a couple of kids started to peek at her. Turning to face the group, she gave the kids a gentle smile as she turned to the tavern.

"Excuse me, miss?" One of the men in the group suddenly called out to her. After she turned to the group, she saw it was a rather masculine appearing man "If you don't mind me asking, but where are you headed? My family and friends are headed to Konohagakure for the first time since Akino was officially formed, and we want to make sure we won't get lost or go in any dangerous roads." The man asked in a polite tone, and the couple of kids that were with them nodded their heads quite a bit.

Ino made sure the silk rolls were properly held before answering "Well, I'm afraid I'm not headed directly to Konohagakure, but I will pass very close to the road leading to the entrance of the village. I need to head more east after that, but I can come with you and make sure you don't get lost. As for being robbed or such, not a lot I can do about that, I'm not exactly the strongest or most capable person." She said with the same smile as before, and one of the other men and the women gave Ino a suspicious look.

After a couple minutes of silence from her side, during which the man turned back to his group and talked to them some more, they all turned back to face her "Name's Fuki. The rest of the group will introduce themselves as we go ahead, but would you mind if we start going now? As for protection, a couple of us have a bit of protection method with us." Fuki said, and showed his axe while another man revealed a sword. Putting on a hesitant face, Ino looked at the tavern and then back at the group. One of the women in the group rolled her eyes and mumbled something which made two of the men let out a couple of laughs.

"Hoped for a proper rest, but sure, I could start going now. Haven't been on the road today for that long, so I'm sure old Roshi here can take a bit more walking, but we will need to stop and rest when night comes. Even with your weapons and the patrols its still risky, hope you understand." She said as she went back to the old and petted him a bit, with Fuki and a couple others nodding "Oh, and my name is Yuno. Pleasure to meet all of you." She added as she begun tying the silk rolls back to Roshi's side.

Once everything was set, the group and "Yuno" begun to make their way towards Konohagakure, as the night slowly settled in. Soon enough they would make camp not too far away from the border, and unknown to the group, "Yuno's" plan and mission has begun with a good pace.

Now all she needed was to finish it in the same pace and manner.[/fieldbox]

Amegakure Jounin Commander | Akinian Empire | Amegakure

Watanabe Robun. She was hearing the name quite a lot in the past few days as she snuck to the Amekage offices. He was the last person she trusted among the candidates, and yet it seemed like his name was being heard more and more around. She was glad the choice was not up to the people but rather the Empress's choice, as they would need to be capable of working together, something she doubted Robun would be capable of doing with an Empress that came from Shinobi origin.

But right now she had much bigger problems. Riots were stirring. People wanted the shinobi out of Amegakure. While there was a tiny hope that this will all go away on its own, she knew it was not a realistic hope. She figured Robun supporters and the man himself used the event that occurred to push him name out even further.

While she tried to think about what possible actions she could take, Hoshi looked outside her window. The main riots were occurring there, as that was where her own office was, and she was getting plenty of shouts for her head and for her resignation as she was the one responsible for the entire Shinobi corp in Amegakure. There was a couple of smashed eggs that were thrown against her window, but so far the guards have managed to keep any protestors out of the building.

As she kept pondering on what actions she could take, a jounin knocked on the open door and came inside, giving Hoshi a deep bow "Hoshi-sama, I apologize for this interruption, but I have urgent news for you." He said. The jounin appeared to be slightly bruised, most likely from trying to get into the building through the crowd in front of it. After motioning to the man to get up from the bow, he did so and continued talking "It is regarding your sister. There were a group of about six men with crowbars and other metallic tools that stalked your house. Once your sister, Mei, went out, they all jumped her and started beating her up. She did not fight back, and ended up being rescued by a couple of other shinobi that passed by there."

After what the jounin said, Hoshi looked pale. They were targeting the members of her family because of her own title as Jounin-Commander? Did the people of the village have no honour? "Go on. Where is she and how is she doing?" She asked in a calm tone, but the concerned look in her eyes betrayed her "She was brought to a secure location and been taken care by medical shinobi, the same can be said for several other shinobi that were injured throughout the events of the morning so far."

"Very well. Keep me update if we suffer any losses or severe injuries." She said in a calm tone as she sat down next to her table. The jounin gave her another bow and left the office. Breathing deeply, she knew that she couldn't let this make her lose her senses. That was exactly what the extremists in this events were hoping for. More reasons to show how the shinobi are unsuitable and untrustworthy to serve the people of the village.

She briefly wondered how Eiji was doing, and hoped that everything was fine on his side.[/fieldbox]

~All that is left for now, is to Dream~
Part 1

~The post includes use of other peoples characters through the imagination and Dream of Yoshikuni Sadako. Anything that occurs using those characters is not real and is not to be taken as a serious action of the character. The entirety of the post is written solely by me.~

The Previous Night

Leaning against the wall was more comfortable than laying her head on the cold, hard metal bed. She constantly reminded herself of that so she won't be tempted to try and sleep on it again. She let out a sigh as she watched the guard come take the food tray through the small hole in the door. By now she had a clear thought about her being kept here, which was clearly more than just to keep her in due to the incident. Possibly to keep the people outside safe from her, or to supposedly keep their precious weapon, the Jinchuuriki, safe from whoever attacked the post office.

Both cases did not comfort her much, but she figured that they couldn't keep her in the loop due to some kind of security reason. Not that having her know what that reason would've helped much. She wasn't any tactical genius, she always did things on a whim. First thought that came to her mind, she did it or spoke it. That was who she was.

As she started hearing light tapping on the celling, Kuni wondered briefly if it started to rain. It was November, after all, which meant rains during the night were much more likely to occur. Unfortunately it wasn't audible enough for her to tell if it was actually rain or not. Either way, the tapping sound made her feel sleepy. She hadn't gotten proper amounts of sleep in the cell, so most things made her sleepy, which felt really odd for her. She was used to being completely energetic, not sleepy.

With the last thought about the rain in her mind, she slowly slid sideways until her head bumped lightly against the metal bed. Her eyes closed and the last thought slipped away, along with her mind to somewhere else.

[spoili]

Running throught the rain that only poured harder and hard, Kuni managed to get to the Raining Tea Library. All of her employees were there, already preparing everything, and Sho soon arrived afterwards. Kuni made sure everything was set and opened the shop, letting the first couple of customers in.

For the first couple of hours everything was fine and peaceful. It seemed to pass in an instance to her, with faces mostly being a blur. Until Eiji and Sachi arrived at the entrance. After they entered and Eiji looked around a bit, Kuni came to greet him "Welcome to the Raining Tea Library! Table for two?" She asked with a big smile, and Eiji nodded as he returned a smile, holding Sachi by the hand to ensure the infant won't start bothering other customers "Yeah, table for two, although I would prefer if it was for three, if you could join us for a bit." He asked, and Kuni looked at the clock. It was already 4 hours since they opened. Time sure flew by.

"I'll have to tend to the other customers and your orders before I could let myself have a break. But hopefully that will be very soon!" She told Eiji as she escorted him to a table, and he nodded, understanding as always. Kuni was simply overjoyed to see him here, taking a small break from his work to come visit one of his students at her secondary job.

Hearing the door open, Kuni turned to see Sho peeking in, motioning to her to come to him. Quickly doing so, she saw a woman behind the blurry door, waiting for something "This lady here says she scheduled to meet you. Told her you are busy but she keeps insisting." Sho said in an irritated voice, clearly not feeling like being anyone's secretary, which she understood, She never hired him to be that "Let her in, I'll find an empty table and talk to her." She said, and Sho rolled his eyes, going back out. A moment later he went back inside "She keeps saying she can't come in, you have to come to her or whatever." He said, more irritated than before.

Wondering why the woman couldn't go inside, Kuni told Sho to make sure everyone waits patiently to her to return, and he replied with his usual 'whatever'. Stepping outside in the rain that was still pouring hard, She moved a bit of her hair from her eyes before registering who was standing in front of her. Her jaw opened slightly, eyes widened and she lost all the color from her face.

Hanako Sadako, her deceased mother, stood there with the big smile that Kuni had learned to know since her birth until the day her mom was murdered in her shop from a robbery gone wrong.

Standing there in front of her, Kuni started shaking "H-h-how..." She tried to question the woman being there, standing in front of her. Hanako offered her hand, but the young girl just looked at it, still unbelieving. After a moment the older Sadako lowered her hand and looked up.

"You always loved the rain, didn't you? I'm not surprised that even now it is raining."

Her voice pierced Kuni's heart like an arrow. It left her breathless, and she kept trying to understand how she was standing there, in front of her. Looking back, she wanted to go tell Sho to beat up whoever this, as whatever prank they were doing was not funny. She fell to her knees upon seeing a single change.

The Raining Tea Library no longer stood there. Instead, Sadako's Silks was there, standing open like nothing ever happened. As her lip started to tremble, she felt warm, but wet arms go around her. Lowering her head, Kuni started to cry. She heard soft humming from behind before feeling a kiss on her head.

"Don't worry Kuni. I'm here."

Yamada Suzu "Rabbit" | Sworn Sword | Outside Konohagakure
The young woman sat with her legs dangling off the edge of a tree just a few meters off of the main path that led into Konohagakure. She watched in bewilderment as a Jounin-sensei simply lit a cigarette and watched his three Genin begin yelling at each other over who got to take the lead on their first C rank mission. They were young, and if she knew what feeling anxious actually felt like she would probably say they were feeling like it right about now. But that wasn't much her concern at the moment.

She directed her attention to the unopened lollipop in her hand and quickly undid it, popping the cherry flavored sphere of sugar into her mouth and shoving the wrapper into her pocket before she pulled out a small parcel. Leaving the lollipop in her mouth she carefully untied the small string around the parcel and unrolled it:
Operation : Rose's Poison

The Captain Commander of the Sworn Sword has chosen you out of the capable covert operatives for a delicate operation. You shall travel, without the distinctive Sworn Sword gear, towards the capital of the Grass Province - the Northern Province of the Akinian Empire. There a member of the secretive Zero Teams shall receive you. The Zero team member shall give you a detailed report on the target and how to gain access to him.

The target is one of the most influential people in the Grass Province. He goes by the name of Wakaizumi Toyoshige. While many endorse and favour the Akinian Empire and the changes it has brought upon its subjects, the target seems to disagree. With having a large trade imperium of clothing, grain and wool it is too risky to let him speak against the Empire. Certainly due to the fact he has started to appeal to the commoners, trying to host parties and charities in order to gain more popularity. His aim is most likely to attempt to be supported as a future candidate to become a high official, which will allow him to do significant damage. His death will only benefit the Empire, furthermore seeing that he has no relatives or children to inherit his trade imperium, which the state can divide and gain more approval among the locals of the Northern Province.

While normally operatives are free to see fit how to take care of their targets, this is obviously a delicate matter. Assassination with a weapon that can be traced can bring some people to ponder if the target was brought down by the state. And it's in our best interests if the state can keep its benevolent image, don't you agree?

For this reason, you will be given a phial of poison - produced and given by the Assassins of the Rose, a covert faction in the Cho Clan. The poison will make it seem that the target has died because of some allergy. This will perhaps make some still wonder if it was the Empire's doing, but once we allow people to investigate the body then the poison will prove that the Empire didn't kill the man.

His demise was orchestrated by his own designs.

With the quiet "pop" of the lollipop coming clean of her lips, Suzu smoothed the letter out and folded it once over before effortlessly swinging herself backwards off the tree branch. Landing in the shade of the forest she began to walk out towards the Shinobi team on the road as she put the lollipop back in her mouth and began to mindlessly twirl it around.

"Yo." she raised a hand in a wave as she stepped from the trees and started for the group, the look on the Jounin's face spelled "surprise" rather nicely for Suzu; that was a word she knew, not the feeling, but the meaning for sure. Stopping at a comfortable distance from the group she watched as the rowdiest of the Genin turned to her and pointed a finger, "Who are you?" he started before taking a step forward, "I'll have you know we're Shinobi and we'll defend ourselves!"

Pulling the lollipop from her mouth she bent over and laughed at the boys resolute words and misplaced confidence before righting herself again, "Oh no please don't hurt me." she droned monotonously as she raised her hands above her head mockingly. Behind the three Genin the Jounin simply stared at the odd woman, no doubt sizing her up and deciding whether she was a friend or a foe, odd considering how close they were to the Village gate.....

"Anyway, Sensei...." she placed a hand on her waist and leaned back a bit, "Think you could give a girl a light?" she asked as she raised her free hand palm-up questioningly.

"Ehhhh!!?? A ligh--" the rowdy Genin began before his Sensei cut him off, "Of course, anything for a lady in need." he said as he tossed his lighter toward her.

With a snap of her arm she snatched the lighter out of the air and already had it burning beneath the letter, watching as the orange flames danced up the side of the small parcel and devoured all evidence of her mission. Forcing a smile she tossed the lighter back to the Jounin with a quick "Thanks!" before beginning to turn to start her way North.

"Hey miss! What was that letter?" came the voice of the only female in the team. Tilting her head back to the girl, Suzu smiled and raised a finger to her cheek, "A letter from my boyfriend..." she paused, "...Well I guess he's my ex-boyfriend now." she let a flash of what others call "sadness" across her face before turning her head back North and beginning to walk. Setting her lollipop back in her mouth she listened as behind her the Genin began to argue again, although this time the topic was which of the two boys got to go out with her, and she could already imagine the look of disappointment on their Sensei's face.

Meeting of the Commanders,
A collab made by Honorabru and Gerontis.

Summary :
Satoshi meets with Yuuki (Kiro Oda) as the two briefly talk about the situation. Satoshi then makes a suggestion on where they could relocate. Yuuki also states a bit of information about the locals and then they part to do their duties.

[spoili]
He rubbed his forehead for a moment. Orders had been dispatched a few moments ago, sending out scout and forage parties out. It wouldn't be long before the host would start to ready up to get moving again. There were still some problems he was looking at, but the current position wouldn't suffice for much longer. Upon hearing that an army of the Republic was approaching them Satoshi felt mixed about it. On one side he was cautious and distrusting the intensions of the military of the Republic. Then again, if they were going to follow the treaty then it meant that his force wouldn't be the sole party that was exposed to the dangers that lurked in the chaotic-infested area. Satoshi didn't need to wait for long before he would hear about that the commander of the Republican force wished for a meeting. Stating to the messenger that he would receive the other commander Satoshi would turn to face the opening of the commander's tent with his hands on his back.

Having to wait outside while permission was either granted or denied for now left Kiro with plenty of time to look over the soldiers that weren't broken or dead. They seemed well trained and had plenty of spirit for what just happened. Probably helped that you had apparently two 'Heroes' in the army. The messenger than exited the tent stating that Satoshi would see him, Kiro nodded and pat the man on the shoulder as he entered the tent. First thing he saw was the man of the hour staring at him with his hands on his back. Kiro gave a slight smile at the man as he came in a bit closer and extended his hand. "Commander Satoshi. My name is Yuuki Narukami, I'm the one in command of the force from the Republic. I sincerely hope our two forces can work well together."

Satoshi eyed the other man with a calm expression. Reaching out his hand he would shake the extended hand of Yuuki. "Greetings, commander Narukami." Satoshi said. "I hope the same. Would be pleasant to be capable of focusing on the objectives than to waste time in keeping order. May I perhaps ask how many you have been assigned to lead?" Satoshi asked, half turning away to gesture to a nearby table where there were a few maps of the Wolf country unfolded.

Shaking the hand of the man he would lower his arms to his side before he asked how many he was leading. He was fairly certain he wrote the amount in a letter to the man in charge, but people forgot things all the time. "Its roughly three thousand strong." He said plain and simple as he turned to the nearby table and walked over to it. "May I ask how long you have been engaged with this threat I keep hearing about?"

"Not really long enough to know who or what the threat is. Hostile contact had been made not too long ago." Satoshi approached the table and glanced at the maps. Leaning a bit forwards, he placed his right index finger on a spot on the map that was marked. "Here. A confrontation broke out as a surprise attack commenced on a large scout party was send. A village was empty of any sign of life. Investigating it the group was ambushed and would've been slaughtered to the last if they hadn't managed to send a distress signal." Satoshi said. There was a bitter taste rising up in his mouth. There was a certain disappointment in his own capability of leading as Satoshi considered himself responsible for each person wounded and slain. "There are a few who have been taken captive, but at the moment we haven't yet learned anything from these attackers. Was hoping that you could provide some more information regarding the country and perhaps the locals."

So a recent attack then, or in his words a surprise attack on a scouting mission gone wrong. It explained the signal he saw though, yet their was that many surprise attackers? Were they the ones responsible for the abduction of the ANBU? No he said they would have been slaughtered to the last if it wasn't for the signal. "Well good thing not too many were lost then." He said before getting asked how much he knew on the Wolf Country, which kind of annoyed him inside since he was working to make them resubmit to the Republic before they rolled in with their army. "Not that much to really say about it. They were apart of Kirigakure before Rika went mental, They revolted with Hayashi leading them and being successful. Yet they never truly came back to us after that, and well here we are. As for the locals, well from the stories I've heard. What attacked you wasn't any locals. Too thought out to be the locals, they were good people though It's where my grandparents were born. They only fought back when they were pushed into a corner." Kiro said as he looked at the spot where the mark was. A surprise attack there though, if they brought sensors with them they should have seen any attackers coming before they got too close. "Did no one pick up on them getting near to attack your scouting party? A sensor should have been able to pick up and notify before they launched an attack."

Listening to Yuuki made Satoshi ponder for a moment. He had heard about the revolution, one that finally had managed to break the power of the Mizukages but hadn't heard about the name Hayashi before. Not that he could do much to investigate that from his current position. "They had a sensor. Problem was that it didn't matter much as they cloaked their chakra signatures, which makes me believe that they weren't some thugs. Their numbers also were off the charts from anything that a bandit groups usually has." Satoshi answered back. There was some distrust growing in the back of his mind. Wouldn't be the first time that the Water country was pulling a backstab, he thought to himself. "Anyhow, my suggestion was that we move to the coast. I already dispatched various parties to scout ahead and either disable small hostile groups or make sure that we will learn what dangers will be around. From this position," Satoshi said as he would point at a place near the coast of the Wolf country, "I want to hold up so that we can keep that part of the coast under control. Might prove handy when more reinforcements will arrive in."

A surprised look surfaced on Kiro's face at what he just heard, numbers that large and they all cloaked their chakra? Sure some of them could be explained, yet enough that they could have wiped out a large scouting party?"Thats pretty shocking to hear, never heard of any groups that could do that in Wolf. Fuck.." Kiro muttered rubbing his chin as Satoshi suggested a plan of action. Holding the coast for reinforcements would be wise, they would also be able to see the enemy launching an attack ahead of time. Yet if they had numbers that could almost wipe out geared soldiers with years of training, then that would become an issue. "I agree, I can even have some of my men help hold it. Any idea how many you want to hold the area with?"

"Well, don't want us to spread too thin. Makes it easier for whatever lurks in the country to attack us. My idea is that we move as one army to the coast. Won't likely be appreciated by everybody, but they just got to bear with it." Satoshi replied, his tone slightly becoming grim. He glanced at the maps before looking back at Yuuki. "Together we have an army of eight thousand troops. I reckon that will discourage anybody to attack us unless they feel really lucky."

Moving together? Well thats one way for them to get the troops use to each other before they were thrust into battle. Eight thousand total huh? Yeah it would take some big balls to mess with that kind of force, then again this place had something fucked up going on. "So our force moves to hold that position and wait for the next group of reinforcements to arrive. Sounds like the best course of action, if we have next to no information on where these attackers came from."

"Was hoping you would agree." Satoshi said, nodding. "I will send a messenger when I am certain my force can get to moving. Don't want to rush it and give out openings that can be exploited by any kind of enemy." The man said, briefly thinking to himself : "Such as a force send by the Republic." Straightening his back Satoshi would extend his right hand towards Yuuki. "I suppose that is it for now, commander Narukami."

"Alright, just let me know when you are about to march. In the meanwhile, I'll send out my own little scouting party." Kiro said as he looked at the extended hand of Satoshi and shook it with his own right hand. "Alright then, nice chatting with you commander Satoshi." Kiro said as he turned and left the tent. "Satoshi huh? Thats the prick that took this place from under my nose? Well I'll follow for now Satoshi." thinking to himself as he had one of the messengers lead him to where his troops set up camp.

Finding the Empress

A Collab between Lesli and Fieryfly

Summary:
Meisa and Hisoka continue their journey to find Kiyomi and finally catch up to the group just as they dispatch the beast they have been fighting. Hisoka confronts the Empress and insists that she should stop her pursuit.

The darkness with the silence had something soothing to it. It would have something really comfortable to Meisa if they weren't climbing down and not sure what would await them ahead. Briefly Meisa looked up or at least, the direction they came from. Trying to move her thoughts to such trivial matters was one way to keep herself calm. After all, she didn't want to be the origin of any sound that could alert the group they were stalking or something worse. If she had learned something during her years of service in the field it was that in places like these, shrouded in darkness and shadow, the worst possible foes could lay in wait. Following Hisoka she wondered what he was thinking about. Focusing her thoughts more to the task laying ahead of them Meisa caught herself being actually worried about Kiyomi. Which was perhaps something strange as she had always valued the teen nothing more than a means to strengthen the realm and making sure that all the hard work to establish Akino wouldn't go to waste. But as she thought about it, she actually started to care about her. An amused thought came up to ask Hisoka what he thought about it, but no sound would escape Meisa. Silently following Hisoka, climbing down into the darkness, Meisa would keep those thoughts to herself.

Hisoka's concentration was on the technique. As they walked without making a sound his senses stretched out ahead of him. The bubble he was now creating around him would notify him of any entities that might cross its borders, but so far it had been empty. He wasn't sure if that was good or potentialy bad. There had been no dead bodies so at least Kiyomi and her team hadn't suffered any casualties, nor had they seemed to encounter any resistance. But did that mean that there was no one hiding in the looming darkness or did that mean that the opposition was still ahead of them? It was this tension that always came before a fight, the doubt of what was happening just outside of your reach.

Abruptly the barrier flickered in his mind as several entities entered his 'vision.' Hisoka halted immediately, a hand reaching out for Meisa to make her stop as well. "Five signatures ahead," he said quietly. "They are moving about like crazy so I am figuring it is a fight."

Continuing her thoughts to keep herself from being tense Meisa frowned as Hisoka spoke up. Stopping as she felt his hand she listened to what he had to report. "Must be. They were just with four." She repeated on a hushed tone. "The question is, however, how we are going to act upon it?" She was half a mind to drop down and get into the fray. Then again, was that going to be wise? If she remembered correctly the group had perhaps two genin, but that Yamanaka and Kiyomi weren't really novices. "Can you already tell how it is going? If they are in a pinch or not?"

Hisoka frowned as she asked her questions and focussed more specifically on the room up ahead, abandoning the attention he had been giving to the road behind him. "I cannot tell what they are dealing with. It's not human, I do know that. So far none of the humans seem to be down or seriously injured." Several times the chakra signatures of the combatants flared. One of them was staying rather stationary, Hisoka figured that that must be the Nara genin. He was sure there was some plan in the group to take whatever they were fighting down, the question was if they could pull it off. "I do not want to risk the life of our Empress needlessly. Yet, considering we don't know what they are facing I'd say proceed slowly. They seem to be holding out for now."

"Okay." Meisa answered. Somewhat content with the fact that the group had not lost a member the woman would continue to follow Hisoka further down into the darkness. She thought could spot some faint light at the end, but wasn't sure if that was really a source of light or her imagination. When being in the dark it was quite hard to know sometimes what you saw. "But you sensed something not human?" Meisa asked, a frown appearing on her brow, not hiding her curiousity.

"Definitely not human. Too big. Walks on four legs I presume. So I am guessing a beast of some sort." Hisoka replied. Closer and closer they got as a small light began to form in the darkness ahead of them. After being enclosed by the blackness for so long now - somehow it felt ages - it was strange to see the glowing dot in the distance. "Do you want to make yourself known?" Hisoka asked. He already knew that he was going to confront the young Empress, but that didn't mean Meisa had to. Hiding in his shadow had been something they had used before after all.

She could conjure some thoughts, but if it was a big and known animal she figured that Hisoka would've reported that. As they got closer it wasn't that Meisa got more tense, but more curious. It was an old facility in which wicked experiments were once the topic and research. Living creatures as well, but she doubted anything could survive alone in this dark for long. Not to mention that facilities like these had been abandoned for more than a decade ago. "Good question. I think I'll be more comfortable with remaining in your shadow than you know." She made a short hand gesture, even though aware he couldn't see it - probably sense it. "You are closer with her anyways. Not to mention," she said as she would slip into his shadow, "I don't like kids that much."

If the situation wasn't as tense, Hisoka might have laughed at those statements though he wasn't so sure about the second one. Was he close with Kiyomi? He had liked to think that he and the Empress had gained some sort of understanding about various things, but clearly he must have misunderstood. Or at least, he hadn't made himself clear enough and now they were in this mess. It was not that he didn't understand Kiyomi's feelings, but there was such a thing as being blinded by them. He knew that too from personal experience. And while that had been fine in his younger days, an Empress couldn't affort such things. Needless to say he was not happy with her choices. "I think the fight is wrapping up," Hisoka said as the beast entity suddenly stopped moving. "I suggest you hide then and I'll move in. I am not losing our Empress again. We have spend enough time running after her."

"I doubt we're the people to talk about running, but you're right." Meisa answered from his shadows. She was wondering what others would say when they would know what they had been doing for two years. At least, she knew she had been running. "Do keep in mind that you're going to talk to a teen. One that might not like being lectured in the darkness of a facility where they did, heaven's may know what." Meisa further advised, her voice kept hushed and soft. Upon hearing the sound of some screaming Meisa became silent. "And judging from that, I like to guess that somebody is either angry or really bent on doing something here."

"I might be talking to a teen, but this teen is also the girl who is the Empress and who has been told what being an Empress means. I feel that I have the right to remind her of that and regardless if she likes it or not, she will have to listen." Hisoka paused half a second when the screams echoed through the halls. Then a loud screech. "Let's go," he said. "it seems the fight is almost over. Creature is down."

She wondered if this would go in a similar manner with Mayumi. If things had at least been different. Pushing the thought away Meisa focused on the situation ahead of them. "Very well. But please do so without her deciding to roast us. I rather not deal with an enraged jinchuriki Empress." Meisa whispered back. She would remain in his shadow, literally, with her technique. For a moment she wondered if it was a good idea. To let Hisoka approach Kiyomi alone, but if things would go south she could always make her entrance.

"Me neither, trust me." With that Hisoka collapsed the barrier technique. They were so close now that the hall was basically visible. With Meisa disappearing, Hisoka's eyes shot to his shadow for one second. It was strange to think that this had become a standard procedure. Would there ever be a day when Meisa would walk fully in the light? If there would be, he wanted to be there to see it. But he doubted it.

With that thought Hisoka made a Flash Step. He appeared in the middle of the room, his blue cloak flapping behind him as he did. For half second his eyes were on Saki as she finished her sentence about moving on, but his eyes moved past her as if he was just checking who was around. No indication of previous interaction was given. The creature on the ground got another second. It was a beast after all. One Hisoka had only heard tales about. To see something like that lying dying on the ground felt strange.

"Your Grace," he said facing Kiyomi directly, refusing blatantly to use her name, his tone the empitome of politeness as if he was her most humbled servant. He had considered appearing right before her, but seeing the fact that she had just been in a fight he wasn't too sure if he wouldn't have been met by a blade to his throat, or fire for that matter. "I am glad that I have found you unscathed. I must, however, ask that you stop your quest through this place. In fact, I would have to insist."

Summary :
With Aiko's order dispatched the small group under Koike's leadership moves towards Eiji's Emiya's residence. While Aiko didn't explicitly state it, Koike is aware of what he needs to get from the residence. On their way they are met with some hostile contact and find more outside the Amekage's residence. From there the group tries to dispatch the hostile, armed contact only to be reunited with somebody of before.

The message of Aiko over the earphone communicator wasn't something he needed to hear twice. Without any hesitation Koike would activate his earphone communicator to speak up. "Katsu, Shizu I need you both on channel A. Get ready and meet me outside, asap." The young man said, his voice surprisingly calm. There was some adrenaline rushing through his system as he got as quickly as he could geared up. Judging by the words he considered that this was really the time that they were allowed to go fully equipped. Opening the door, the young man let out a sharp whistle. As he held the door open a large, black furred canine would walk out before Koike closed the door to his room. "Come on, boy, time to get some." Koike grumbled as he would start to walk quickly down the hall. There seemed to be a lot of activity as men and women were attempting to get ready up. Both to be armoured and armed as if war had came to the city and they were the last line of defense. For a moment Koike wondered what was going on as he had been reading a book and hadn't heard anything that pointed out that something was wrong. Neither had the patrols that had been send out reporting anything bad or suspicious.

Arriving outside Koike's right hand leaned on the hilt of his sword as he kept looking around. Various small pillars of smoke indicated that there was clearly something wrong. If anything it also made him consider that the Zealots had finally decided to be more aggressive with their attacks. Unless they were really pissed at the mail delivery service of the locals, Koike wondered what kind of locations were under attack.

Katsu pulled up his hood as he left the building, only to stare dumbfoundedly at the pillars of smoke. Tanpo rushed through the closing door, circling around Katsu once before stopping, panting. "What's going on?"
His arrival quickly followed by the young woman that went by the name Shizu Sarutobi. Koike threw a sideways look at the two chuunin as he - almost casually - shrugged.

"No idea. We got our orders to head to the home of the Amekage assistant. There is somebody that I need to get out of there." Koike said, as he was sure that was why Aiko had entrusted him to be send over there. Turning around he gestured the others to follow him. "Stay on this channel. And don't break off unless ordered or requested by me or the captain." Koike said, his voice this time stern opposed to the calm tone of before. There was a lot of turmoil as people were trying to get of the streets while the police was attempting to get control of the situation. Koike grew more worried on what the goal was behind such a mass amount of attacks. And was only Amegakure experiencing this? Pushing his thoughts aside he started to pick up the pace. Heading towards one of the pillars of smoke.

People started to run from the violence. Armed men with clothing that was wrapped around the lower features of their face were armed with clubs, knives and some even with more dangerous, illegal weaponry. Various pockets of police officers and guards were already taking up positions before moving in. Some shinobi could be spotted by the three shinobi that were heading towards the residence of the Amekage assistant. The closer they got the more they could hear the developing chaos around them. Koike threw a look over his shoulder. "Katsu, go ahead with Akumu and Tanpo. Make the way free. Shizu, you take the rooftops. Lethal force is allowed when deemed necessary!" Koike ordered as he would take a turn to the right after unleashing a sharp command, spoken in Chonobi.

"Understood," Katsu said, bringing his hands together, pulling his right hand from under his left wrist, clenched as a fist. He looked over at Tanpo and Akumu as Koike disappeared around the corner. "Let's go."

In the next street over, the road was covered in muddied red water with people snivveling and trying to crawl away on the ground with men wielding clubs and swords. One of them raised his club to bring it down on the back of the man on the ground again. As he swung, the club fell behind him, his detached hands still cluching onto the bloodied weapon. As the man let out a deafening scream, Tanpo emerged from an alley, immediately latching on to the man's knee. The man fell, one leg dragging a dead foot and no hands. The five other brutes turned to the direwolf. They all hesitated, but two of them charged forward. Before they could even get close to the direwolf, Akumu reached one's neck, and Katsu slashed the other one's with his wires. As the three left took a step back, Tanpo leaped over Katsu onto the one in the middle, but the man managed to roll to the side, falling on his back. Akumu quickly lunged at the man and bit the neck. The remaining two men tossed their weapons and started to run away crying out.

Katsu looked over at Tanpo, who was smiling and panting as blood soaked into his fur. "Nice job, guys," Katsu said, smiling.

Not a moment later a voice spoke over the communicator. "Okay, I am near the residence. There are various hostiles spotted. Meet up at the northern side of the residence, preferably in stealth." Koike's voice cracked over the earphone communicator, followed by a short : "Yes, sir."

"Got it."

Waiting Koike kept himself pressed with his right shoulder at the wall. Blood stains were visible on his right gloved hand and arm as some other dark red stains could be spotted on his boots. Peeking around the corner he could count a dozen of enemies. Their behaviour seemed to be different from the thugs that were out on the street. They seemed to be quiet and waiting for either a signal or somebody to give them a command. Or were they perhaps operatives of the city? Hearing something Koike threw a glance over his shoulder. Shizu dropped on the ground and quickly moved to the cover of the wall, proceeding to close in the distance with Koike. There were stains of blood spotted on her, but Koike wouldn't ask if she hadn't disposed some of the thugs to make it easier for the local force to gain control once more of the streets.

Katsu gestured for Tanpo and Akumu to wait as he peaked his head around the corner. He brought his hand up to his communicator. "We're in the alley across you," he said, pulling his head back.

"Roger. Seems that there are some of these guys in the way. Can't identify if they are hostiles or covert operatives sent to guard the Assistant's residence." Koike whispered back, considering their options. "Katsu, take up sensory watch. We will wait for a moment and see what happens. Try to scan for a... small girl." Koike stated, throwing a sideways look at Shizu - who was keeping watch that nobody was approaching them from behind. "Our goal is going to go in and get the people inside the residence out. Then moving them to safety."

The young nin gave Koike a befuddled stare before sighing and bringing his hands together. "Alright. There are two children in there. Fifteen hostiles outside. That's--Oh no..." Katsu looked back. "The guy from before. Koike, we need to move quick!"

Frowning Koike remained silent. Noticing a person approaching as he peeked around the corner he weighted their options quickly. He wasn't fond of the idea of a fight outside where the enemy could get quickly away or gain reinforcements. But allowing that guy or thing of before to get close to their target wasn't acceptable either. Koike would gain a grin. "Yeah, you're right. We got to move quickly. Listen up, this is the plan..."

The fifteen men outside were quiet, clearly waiting for somebody to arrive or something to happen. They kept a small distance from the main entrance of the residence of Eiji Emiya. There was another man, his facial features hard to be spotted, due to the dark grey scarf around his neck and lower facial parts and hood, approaching the group. Suddenly out of the alley two large canines charged straight into the group. Their charge met little resistance thanks to the surprise effect of the attack. Screams and shouts of the fifteen would soon rang through the air as the creatures started to go rampage among the group. A slender woman had taken a position on the rooftop, providing support with attacking at a short range - throwing crystal shuriken at the fifteen men, aimed to take them out.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sitting upstairs in the room which had become hers ever since she began staying with Eiji, Ryu cast a look brief look around. She could still hear distant screams in the street, something the Uchiha wasn't happy about not heing able to go investigate herself. But the armed men outside didn't let her even do so much as open the door, which told the girl something serious was up. I hope Eiji-Sensei, John, Kuni, and even Mrs. Cho-Hon are okay... she thought to herself. Then she shook her head from her thoughts and looked towards the two children in the room with her. "Hey, how are you two doing? Is there anything you need me to fetch for you?" she asked in the calmest voice she could muster, flashing a friendly smile. The genin wondered if they could tell how scared she really was, given that she was well aware of the Sharingan being active in her eye. With a small sigh, she leaned back agaisnt the door and watched the two children. Hoping, that whatever was happening would be over soon and without hurting anybody.

Silent he would sneak inside. With the use of overlapping shadow he wouldn't have much of an issue to move underneath the door and 'crawl' towards the nearby shadow source. Remaining still to observe the hallway he took a moment to consider the path way. Slowly, but steadily he kept moving through the shadows, not letting his movements escape a sound as he kept moving from shadows to get closer to his goal. With Katsu having located down the place of the child Koike was sure that he was going the right way. Stopping in front of a door there was a moment that he considered to just move in and disregard the other two inside the room. They weren't part of his responsbilities or worries, after all. If anything, possible obstacles that could prevent his plan from working. A mental sigh escaped the young man as he considered his approach. A hand moved out of the shadow, holding a thin object. Throwing a senbon at a nearby window to create a cracking sound, Koike would wait for a moment as his hand would vanish back into the shadow.

The genin's head turned quickly at the sound. It was odd that things were hitting the windows, hadn't that armed group been out front? She was sure she hadn't heard any fighting. Standing up, Ryu cast a look towards her own window before look at the two children that were with her. "Hey, why don't we move away from the windows? Come on!" she said, trying to keep keep her voice still friendly and calm for the two as she attempted to think if there might perhaps be a safer place within the house. They were already up stairs, but the girl was having issues thinking of somewhere safer that wouldn't also spook the two girls. Instead she settled for having them farther away from her window, while she took a quick peak out and saw nothing. Then she spun back around and watched the door to her room. Her hand dipping into her pocket and grasping the handle of the kunai she had snagged just in case. "Please be anything except trouble..." she mumbled softly to herself.

But it was already too late. Koike had sneaked underneath the door with his shadow technique. In a rapid speed he moved through the barely lighted room - as the blinds were closed - to stay out of the vision of the present girl. He didn't care enough for her, but wavered for a moment at the sighting of the other child. Focusing back on the only that matter, which was Kei, Koike would wait for a favourable moment. That moment was when Ryu faced the door. Without much of a warning two gloved hands would shot out of the shadows, gently grabbing Kei from behind. And just like that Koike would pour more chakra into his technique to allow Kei to blend with his hands back into the shadows. He would later try to comfort the child, but getting her into safety was something more of importance. The only likely problem was that the girl was now facing the door. Then again, he wasn't really having the luxury of time. With a fast speed the Hon would move himself and Kei through the shadow over the ground underneath the door, heading to exit the residence as quick as possible.

Almost immdiately Ryu detected something was wrong. Something was moving in the shadow towards the door. Her gaze shifted slightly to the children, and noticed one less. As the shadow darted under the door, Ryu was scrambling to her feet and throwing the door open. She drew, and threw the Kunai she was holding. Aiming to hit in front of the shadow. "Stop! You have no right to be here!" she said aloud, hoping to at least startle the other as she darted ahead.

"Sure, sure." Koike thought to himself. Without slowing down he would detect the sound of something being thrown at him. In a rapid manouvre the chakra travelling through the shadows would evade the thrown kunai as it headed downstairs. Outside the sound of the violence were starting to faint down, being replaced by a very low growl of some animal. Heading towards the door to exit the residence Koike hoped that the plan would just go as planned.

Rushing downstairs after the other, Ryu could more clearly hear the sounds of fighting outside. They were certainly close, and the girl's eye went wide as she heard the low growl. Chills went down her spine as she attempted to run faster and somehow stop the shadow. Yet no matter how fast she moved, it was faster. She lacked any sort of tools to stop it as well. Still, she had to try. Before she could do much else, the shadow slipped under the door. Out into the fighting and violence. Briefly the girl did debate going outside and chasing after them. But leaving Sachi upstairs and alone? Not something she wished in the current situation. The girl cursed under her breath as she quickly made her way back upstairs. Finding Sachi where she was left, and gave her a false smile. "Don't worry, it was just a friend coming to get her, we are fine." Ryu lied, already trying to think of ways to protect Sachi should the intruder come back. Hard to kidnap a dead child! mumbled a voice in the back of her mind. Shut the hell up. she thought back and cast a worried look at Sachi.

She'd lost one of them, how was she going to protect the other? The girl shook her head as she tried to focus. One step at a time.

Dead Talk
A collab between Alice and Honorabru620

Summary: A unmotivated Aya gives her sensei an apology yet something unexpected happens. A future course of action is being plotted.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Leaning with her back against the tree Mika had her arms crossed. There was some rain falling down, but nothing too sever. Nor was it the reason for her bad mood, which was somewhat covered by the hood that hide some features. Standing in the cover of the tree, there weren't much leaves to protect her though. It reminded her that soon enough the winter would strike and that it would mean that many would face less enjoyable times. Listening to the rain pouring down lightly around her Mika felt the temptation to just hide and be alone with her thoughts. The problem, however, was that she was going to meet up with one of her students. Aya Oda. Remembering that the girl had caused some ruckus with reporting she had found dead bodies, but that the Demon Shark unit hadn't found anything else but dead fish had kicked Mika's expectation and mood quite down.

Walking through the rain slowly with her head down, knowing she had asked for this meeting. In a way she wanted to take it back and say never mind, yet her sensei would know why if she said that. The recent investigation coming up with a "false" lead. Yet how it was false wracked her brain around, she was positive she saw dead bodies in a crate with dead fish. Their was no mistaking it, that smell couldn't come from no dead fish. Those were people that were murdered, so where the hell did they go? So a talk about how Saiken was trying to trick her already, now had the whole "lying" about dead bodies atmosphere going on. Just her luck.

Turning around a corner she saw her sensei leaning against a tree, with her hood up as usual. She approached the woman yet kept some distance as she had a feeling that with her sensei's usual cranky mood, it might be a bit more hostile. "...I'm sorry." Straight with an apology as anything else she could say would be nothing more than an excuse.

The woman briefly looked up at the genin. Remaining silent as the genin apologized the eyes of Mika were locked on Aya. For a moment there was only the sound of the raining coming down. Eventually Mika broke the silence as she would speak up. "Did you really find dead human bodies?" She asked, her voice not being the same as usual. It was calm, but not cold. Mika didn't lower her hands or any changes in her body language, but she waited patiently for what Aya had to say.

Silence followed her apology and instead of her wanting to know what she wanted to talk about, she asked her a question about the recent event. She raised her head slightly, a bit shocked at being given a chance to explain. Aya nodded her head however "I swear I did. I don't know what happened, it took multiple people to carry it. The smell was far worse than rotting fish and.... " she stopped speaking and sighed as she sat down on the ground under some protection from the tree against the rain. "Not like it matters in the end. What I saw and what they saw counters each other, and they have more witnesses than I sure did. Yet I promise you sensei, I saw dead bodies."

Hearing Aya out Mika remained silent. When the genin made the promise Mika closed her eyes and lowered her head. The silence briefly returned after Aya's last sentence. "Very well. Guess that I can't state that I don't believe you. So if we go by your words then that means various things." Thinking about the conclusion she could take from the fact that the dead bodies were now missing Mika frowned. "Don't fret too much over it. Everybody makes 'mistakes'," Mika made a certain emphasis linger on the word, trying to clarify that she didn't agree it was one. "Best what you can do is to try to see if you can prove that you're right. Which we will do soon enough. Dead bodies don't disappear just into thin air from what I remember." Letting the words sink in Mika would ask another question afterwards. "You stated you wanted to talk?" The woman asked, having the hunch it probably had to do with Hiro.

Again shocked at the turn of events, she wasn't instantly shooting her argument down even with the proof that weighed against her? Aya smiled slightly as it did make her a bit happy that her usual cranky sensei wasn't just bringing her down. It also helped when she put some emphasis on her making mistakes. "I'll try not to make anymore." She responded with as a proving point later in the future would present itself to clear her "lie". Hearing what she wanted to talk about made her twiddle her thumbs as she lowered her head again. "I told Saiken about you know what. I know you told me not to, and I'm sorry for that. Yet I thought that maybe someone that's been around for ages might have known, and considering hes inside me and can't tell anyone. I thought it wouldn't have been an issue, yet all he tried was to trick me. Saying these things that are happening are because they are after him and as long as hes inside me, everyone I care for is in danger and to just release him. So I just wanted to tell you that I did tell someone, but someone that can't go blabbing. Yet I told so I figured you should know."

Mika caught herself feeling empathy for the genin. It was just that this reminded her so much of Haruhi. The woman missed the blonde genin quite a lot, but had taken the decision to let Haruhi venture on her own. Takeshi would watch over her, anyways, so Mika felt comfortable with focusing on her current team and tasks. Thinking about it when Haruhi had confessed to her that the tailed beast inside of her was pulling the same card made Mika sigh softly. "Not the first time that I hear this, I will be that honest with you. Can't, however, call or consider myself an expert on these... bijuu." Mika said, her voice still calm. Letting that sink in Mika would open her eyes and glance at the genin.

"I am going to be honest with you and this won't brighten your mood, that I am sure of it. The thing is that you're going to be hunted down for the rest of your life. That bijuu is now your responsibility and it might look for any opening you'll give it. I suppose that is what we would do when being in its skin, but I don't know how demons work. Still find it hard to believe that they are real, but that is beside the point." Mika said, shaking her head. "It is just something you have to carry and while you can come to talk about it with me, you need to remember that this is your burden. In a sense it is my burden and task to guide you to become a kunoichi that will be competent. And after you there will be another annoying brat that I have to educate and train. And that will continue on until I decide to become a coward and turn away from my duty and responsibility. While you can say or argue that you can't turn away... you can."

Lowering her arms Mika took a step forwards. No longer in the shelter of the branches and few leaves she felt the cold rain falling on her. Turning half around to face Aya Mika frowned. "You can end it any time you want. You can become a coward who listens to some demon or give up because there will always be people who shall try to hunt you down. Or you decide to turn the tables. That beast can't do shit as long you don't let it. The people who want to take you won't be able to do so if you won't sell your hide without a fight. So while it might not look or feel like that... you got a choice."

She wasn't mad at her? Was this really the same sensei who not that long ago shot her an annoyed look for asking a question? She was a tad shocked that she had dealt with this before. Shes had a beast host student before? That was strangely honest of her to explain. She was then given advice, she would be lied to hunted down like some animal for as long as she drew air in her lungs, yet it was her responsibility. Her responsibility to stay alive to get stronger to fight back, to see through all the lies that would reach her. As her sensei talked her sad expression was slowly shifting back to a more happy one. Mostly when she tried to say she would be another annoying brat she had to train and educate, this caused a smile to flourish on her face. She even said she had a choice to stand her ground or be a coward.

Standing back up Aya listened with a smile at her sensei's advice that it was her choice if she wanted to give up and become that coward, or rub some dirt on it and put on her big girl shoes. "Thanks sensei, it really means a lot to hear you say that." Aya said as she tapped her foot on the ground before mentally deciding to go for it and would give the woman a hug.

Noticing that Aya was managing a bit better made Mika nod. Noticing a shift in the body language of Aya Mika grew a bit uneasy. Certainly when Aya decided to step forwards and go in for a hug. Not a big fan of hugs Mika felt the need to step back or sideways to not end up getting hugged. Gritting her teeth she remained standing as Aya hugged her. Remaining silent Mika looked away. A moment passed and she decided that it was enough. "I bet it does," the calm tone was replaced for the usual sarcastic one. "Now, just remember what I told today whenever you get the feeling of being kicked down by that bijuu or people that profit from having you like that."

Well it might have been an awkward hug considering she was the one hugging and Mika was the one just accepting it. She let go though and nodded at what she just said. "I will you'll be the first to know if anyone tried to kidnap me or stab me in the back. So.... I do have another question. Feel free to ignore it but, is there a reason you always keep your hood up?"

"Guess I am going to feel free with that one." Mika replied back without needing a second to consider her answer. Placing her left hand on her hip she tilted her head slightly to the left. "Anymore questions? Cause we still have to figure out what happened to the corpses that vanished." The woman asked, clearly passing on to the more urgent matters in her opinion. Her mind was already working hard on trying to figure where somebody would attempt to hide corpses that were needed to be smuggled inside the city.

She giggled at the question being shot down the instant it came up, and was asked if she had anymore as the corpses were still an issue. "No more stupid questions, yet when I reported to you about the dead bodies. How long before it was investigated? Is it possible someone complained about the smell and the owners had it moved somewhere else?"

"Not too long. The Demon Sharks aren't an unit that slack around or take reports like corpses being smuggled into the city as jokes. Should praise yourself that they didn't decide to 'question' us." Mika said, though she figured that Takeshi probably had some influence in making it happen that they weren't taken with the Demon Sharks. "The corpses probably were moved quickly away. Problem is that I have a few ideas on where they could have taken and store a corpse. Only getting to some of those points is quite the hassle." She paused for a moment. "Stay on standby. I will call you and the others soon enough for a mission. First, got to arrange some specialized equipment for the next search." Already turning around Mika stopped half, as if she forgot something. "And this time," she began, "When we find a corpse, we are going to take it with us. Don't want to risk to upset anybody else, again, do we?"

If they were moved quickly then what was the whole point of bringing the crate into the warehouse anyway? Did they suspect something like this was going to happen? Were they simply dancing to the tune of whoever is causing this? Yet her sensei had an idea on a few places one would take corpses only they were a hassle. Which meant it was really out of the way or guarded enough that it was risky as all hell. She was told to be on standby and she would call her and the others soon for a mission, she just had to get specialized equipment. This now prompted her to start thinking the places were more guarded if specialized equipment was needed. As she was turning away she stopped and said this time if they found corpses they were taking it with them. She nodded in agreement "Yeah rather not risk my luck and they move again, and thanks again for trusting me." Aya said with a smile as she walked off in the opposite direction with a more happy posture than before.[/fieldbox]

Sayuri Cho
Konohagakure Genin

Blood was trailing down her cheek, to her battle torn clothes. She grasped the sword with unwavering determination despite the injury to her head, several cuts on her hands. Her eyes, burning with determination pierced her foe, whose face was devoid of any and all emotion. Her chest was raising and falling quickly, as she tried to catch her breath from their last exchange of blows. After a few seconds, she took a deep breath and charged first this time.

Their swords collided with power and force sufficient to send sparks flying in the air, and Sayuri felt she had to finish their exchange in the next series of blows. Coming to a sliding stop, she wasted no time and charged her enemy. She sent some chakra into her Red Flash seal on her blade to activate it. A few meters before contact, Sayuri hurled her blade in an upward angle, so it would fly a few centimeters from her foe. The still emotionless face chuckled and ignored the blade, going in for the unarmed kill.

In the nick of time, Sayuri went into a knee-kick motion and activated her Red Flash. Just as quickly as she disappeared, she reappered - and her knee appeared just in her foes face. He was sent flying backward from the force of the impact. Sayuri reached for her blade and landed a few steps behind her foe who hit the ground with a loud thud. Scrambling up, she reached him just as he was about to get up.

She thrusted her blade forward.
Without hesitation.

The blade pierced the chest cavity of the man, whose face showed emotion for the first time since they encounter started. Shock. As he wanted to say something, Sayuri twisted her blade. " I already told you. Do not dare to threaten my family again. " To emphasize her point, she gave the blade another twist and kicked the now lifeless body from her blade. She stood there, motionless for a few seconds. Then she slowly turned and approached an older woman, with the brightest red hair one could possibly imagine.

" Are you allright, Auntie? "

With a satisfied smirk, Sayuri put down her pen and looked at the page she just filled. She was aware that a real fight would most likely not end like this, but after all it was not a real fight. She looked at it for a few more seconds before leaning back in her chair and her drifted to her Auntie. She was away for a mission and Sayuri hoped that she was allright. She will have to see her as soon as she cames back! And finishes her reports.

Happy at the thought, she stood up from her desk and went to her bad, landing at it with a soft thud. She recently reapplied to be assigned to a team, but no reply has arrived so far. She knew that it could take a really really long time for a reply to arrive, and she waited every day for one. Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes and a wide smile appeared on her face.

She was daydreaming, lost in her thoughts.
Humming under her nose.

Team 19's Gathering
A collab between Fiery, Mary, Conman, and Honorabru

Summary: Two new members are put in Mitsunari's team, and he has laid the team out a objective if they wish to not go to the Academy. It.... goes about as well as he planned, and then something unexpected happens.
[spoili]After being released from prison he decide to take the next day off only to think of how he was going to punish Kona and Sho for what he considered reckless and inhumane. He also found out that he has a new student called Yone Tsuji, what he read was that she seemed like a good hard worker. Lord knows they need that on this team, and apparently his sister is also on his team so he knew what one was fully capable of, that one was reckless, one had a itchy kill finger, and the newest one seemed good..... so far. Well he could always give the two their punishments later, Yone's first day with her new team shouldn't be drama filled. So he came up with a training session for the four and would pray nothing would mess it up.

So come the next day after sending letters to all the students besides his sister who he dragged with. They would await at their training field where Mitsunari would sit patiently for the rest to arrive while Kitana stretched her arms. "So.... Anything I should know about your students brother?" She asked to which he shook his head and sighed. "Oh trust me. you'll understand once you see them. Just remember, they I can't punish twenty four seven. You on the other hand I can, so don't fuck around, got it?" Mitsunari told her to which she held up her hands. "Yeah, I know. Best behavior."

She was pumped! Walking up the street the genin had considered already how she would fill out her first day. A good impression was one to last the best, a common fact. For that reason, Yone had made sure that she was fully equipped and looking all ready as dandy. An important aspect of a kunoichi or shinobi was that you were ready for anything. Technically, everybody should be ready for anything when serving in the military. Pondering on that thought as she continued to head to the meeting place Yone wondered if she would be fitter as a soldier in the imperial army in the shinobi corps. What were the glaring differences, she thought.
Arriving at the perimeter of the field Yone stopped her train of thoughts. Spotting two figures, both unknown to her, the teen eyed them from a distance. Not because she was shy or wanted to be rude but more because she was interested and using the time as the distance to evaluate the situation. They didn't seem that bad. Then again, it is hard to judge a book by its cover.

Walking towards the two Yone adjusted the hood of her raincoat so that her features were easier to be spotted. Raising her right hand up in a fist, she would place it against her chest as a salute to the two. A short and abrupt halt made the whole salute complete as Yone spoke up. "Yone Tsuji, reporting in." There was a certain determination present in both her attitude and tone. Not because she was ready to prove herself, but this could serve as first step for her ambition.

Kona quietly trudged along in the rain to the training field. She was a mess for sure. The dark circles under her eyes indicated that she had gotten little to no sleep over the past two days, and the quietness settled on her usually outward and rash demeanor in a very unsettling way.

She wasn't someone who had wanted to earn the title of killer at the rank of genin, but the woman had been no compliant, and in a situation where crossbows were involved and actively shooting, Kona had little time to deal with potential threats. Still...... justifid though she thought she was, she was prepared to recieve a punishment from her sensei, and accepted it with grim resignation. The same resignation she had resigned herself to when she had sat in the cell that night, the chakra restrainer around her neck.

Kona silently padded onto the training field, spotting three people already there. Kona walked over to the three, picked out the one who she determined to be her sensei, and bowed.

"Kona reporting in sensei."

She said in a grim tone

Somehow Sho just knew that Mitsunari was going to pissed at him. Not that he cared. So far the man hadn't proven himself to be any kind of teacher. That one training he gave really didn't do it for Sho. They said you had to give people the benefit of the doubt, but Sho knew that that was bullshit. People were exactly as you first preceived them. And Mitsunari seemed to him to be the type that would now hold a speech on Sho's actions at the post office. As if he wasn't stuck with that whole thing enough as it was.

At the entrance of the field Sho halted for a second noticing the four people that were already present. Two of them he knew, two he didn't. He honestly didn't know who he was more excited to see. No one really. As he walked closer Sho found himself looking at the new entities that were present. As per usual they didn't look like much, but hopefully they had a bit more spunk than Kona, who, as he walked closer, he noticed, looked like crap. He didn't really care why and didn't bother asking. Instead he just turned to his sensei, waved his hand in the air as some sort of salute and said: "Morning."

Starting off with a good impression of being the first to arrive would be Yone who gave him a salute. He smiled and stood up and saluted her back. Then his smile faded as Kona arrived next giving him respect, but respect he wasn't currently buying. Although she looked like she had just been beaten senseless for several days, which wasn't his problem. Then came Sho who was acting like Sho. It was enough to cause him to mentally sigh and wish to smash his head off of something. He looked at Kitana who was giggling already and sighed as he cracked his neck.

"Okay well for the newest student of mine, I am Mitsunari Riojin. I've been a jounin for a few years now, so to save a long talk. If you have any questions for me, I will do my best to help you. Now first thing is first!" Mitsunari said as he looked at Kona and held out his hand. "I want your tools, kunai, shuriken, wires, bombs, you get the point. You are offically barred from using them unless I give permission. Sho while I could yell at you, it would prove ineffective. So I will simply make you put more effort into everything you do, and I do mean everything. If I told everyone to run five laps, you will do ten. In fact that seems like a great warm up! I'll be tame since it's early. Everyone three laps around the field. Sho, that means six for you." Mitsunari said with a smile as he would even join in with the laps.

A grin touched Yone's lips as she received a salute back from the man. Perhaps this was a good start? Content with how it was starting. Subtly eyeing the others as two more even joined the group. A girl that seemed to be quite down and making Yone wonder if she was even up for some training or doing a mission. Was she even being alive at this moment, the teen wondered as she tilted her head slightly to the right.
There was also this guy with red hair. Which did attract some of Yone's interest? He didn't seem like the type to chatter and waste time one just bantering about trivial matters. Which was perhaps good for in the field, but not really making Yone eager to get to know the other. Or perhaps she was judging a bit too soon? Probably.

The cracking of somebody's neck - which disgusted Yone - made her turn her head to shift her attention back to the man she concluded to be their sensei. Curious to see and hear what kind of mentor he was, Yone's eyes widened slightly as he ordered to have the tools of 'Kona'. Hearing the reason made Yone throw a curious glance at the direction of her team member. What had she done to receive such a punishment?
When the man spoke to Sho, Yone raised her left hand to scratch her cheek. She wasn't really feeling comfortable as she remembered the boy now. As the man started to speak up to her male team member Yone felt a twinge of the need to speak back. He had risked his life - more or less at least - to try to save hers and the other people in the post office. She remained silent, however, turning her eyes away as she just listened to what Mitsunari told them. As Mitsunari told them to do three laps, Yone would just nod and follow him. Focusing her thoughts on just doing what would be told.

Kona's eyes widened at the order, her expression indignant and defiant for only a moment, before the look of resignation returned. This was her punishment, this was her penance. It meant she would have no more accuracy training outside of what Mitsunari supervised, and even then, she doubted it would be much.

The entirety of her ninja tool stash was to be handed over, so that Mitsunari could keep an eye on them for her. Kona said nothing, but unclasped the pouch on her hip, hesitating for a moment before taking off the kunai thigh holster. The hood of her jacket covered her face with shadow as she handed the tools over.

"Yes sensei."

Kona had already resigned herself to this. No one would really care the circumstances of which she had been placed under during the time of the post office attack, that much the officer from the station made very clear in her chat with him. Who the hell was she supposed to turn to with her problems? She had no friends, her neighbors had started avoiding her since the post office incident, and she had fucked up so badly that she was handing over her ninja tools to her sensei.

When he ordered her and the rest of the group to take three laps, she said nothing, but took off on the laps around the field.

As they all were running, despite some reluctance at first from Kona with her gear. Yone seemed to be following orders well enough and Sho was not misbehaving too much. So far so good. They would all continue their laps and as all three of them finished their three laps, Mitsunari would watch to make sure Sho kept on doing his. Turning his gaze back to the three women he would smile. "Good work so far. So because we have a couple of new faces I figured it would be nice for you three to introduce yourselves to each other, before we begin our purpose today. Don't worry about Sho, he would find this pointless anyway."

Mitsunari would then nudge Kitana who was panting a bit, she would stand up straight and flash both of her teammates a bright smile. "Ah my name is Kitana Riojin. I'm our sensei's little sister. I'm a chuunin, I have some knowledge in kenjutsu and am a user of paper release. Its nice to meet you two."

Running the laps Yone didn't even feel any sweat being formed. She was used to running around - if she didn't then she was a horrible courier, after all.
For a moment she wanted to continue, both cause she enjoyed the exercise and to not let Sho run alone. There was still the feeling she owed him something in return for what he had attempted. Besides, who knew? He was a chuunin, perhaps he could help her with useful tips?
That wouldn't, however, happen much to Yone's shame as she fell in with the others to stop. Briefly, she threw a sideways glance at the still running red-haired boy. Hearing that they were going to do some introduction Yone didn't feel like it. She didn't know the others and while she was aware that this could be people she had to work with for god know how long, that didn't mean she was okay with that.

The sibling of the sensei introduced herself, stating that she was a chuunin. This did attract Yone interest as she wondered how the other had become a Chuunin. She knew that it could happen through either the Chuunin exam or by a promotion through merit. That and paper release. Yone wondered what that entitled. Could she make paper sheets into dangerous weapons or use them in combat? That was somewhat funny and weird, but she wouldn't ask anything about that. It wasn't the right time and place.
"Yone Tsuji is the name," she started, using her right thumb to point at herself, "I am a genin and work as a courier for the Imazaki Post office. You likely have heard of it." She paused, realizing what she just had said.
"Am not really specialized on anything, truth be told."

Kona said nothing, but let the silence lay for a moment. She debated mentally whether or not she should introduce herself. Perhaps it was a bad idea? Still, it was an exercise for their training, and Mitsunari wanted her to go through with it, so she spoke quietly.

"My name is Kona Omari, I am a genin, I have no particular skills and I do D rank missions as a job."

When Kona was finished, she settled back into her grim look, and waited for the others to speak.

Mitsunari had a surprised look to hear that Yone worked at the post office that was attacked, and which caused his irritation in his team at the moment. Yet he remained silent and listened to Kona's quiet introduction. Needless to say her bummed attitude was her own fault, so she had no one to blame but herself there. The only one that caused some intrigue was Yone so far, he knew very well what Sho was capable of so far. It only irritated him that the boy wouldn't work well with others. Speaking of he was coming over after finishing his laps and Mitsunari would hold his hand out in the halt position and point back to the field. "Good, now one hundred push ups and no stopping." Mitsunari said plainly and watched the boy walk off and start his push ups, before looking at the three women again.

"You know I'll be open with you all. I've been trying to figure out a way too see just how badly you all want to be a shinobi, cause so far I have a reckless man running around, and a bonafide killer. So you know what. Today's training will be very simple in concept, it just depends on you all if you make it work or not. You all need to use teamwork to hit me. Thats right every single one of you needs to land a solid hit on me, I might count grazing who knows." Mitsunari said smiling as he looked at them.

"Rules are simple, use whatever you want in an attempt to hurt me. Now heres why you need to take it seriously. If you all don't hit me, I'm sending each and everyone of you back to the academy." Mitsunari said which caused his sisters face to go blank and start laughing nervously. "H-hey thats a joke now right brother?" She said and was even more shocked when Mitsunari stared at her and started getting some distance from them. "So yeah you all have until sundown to hit me or you can kiss your current ranks goodbye."

Kitana stared at the two females and rubbed the back of her head. "So I can try distracting him with my paper techniques while you two take advantage of that and try and land a hit on him. Any chance you two know a way to bind or slow movement?" She looked back at Sho hoping when he got back he wouldnt be too exhausted to attempt this.

Kona was dead quiet, she didn't respond to Kitana or to Mitsunari. All she did was lock her eyes on him, and continuously clench and unclench her fist.

"Who is he to call me a murderer? Has he not killed before? How is that any different?"

Kona didn't listen or respond to anything Kitana said. She was blinded by anger and rage, and she clenched her teeth and charged, straight forward, no tact, no concealed attempt.

"Who are you to call me a murderer?! YOU KNOW NOTHING OF ME! ALL YOU KNOW IS WHAT IS IN A FUCKING FILE!"

Kona had no tools, no ability to attack at range, but she didn't care. The pure fact that the man who had known her and trained with her for maybe a day at most, and yet he had presumed to call her a murderer. When and if she got close, Kona would go for a punch towards the man's face. A simple, unhidden, attack.

Yone listened to Kitana, considering how they could work together as a team to land a blow on Mitsunari. She already considered combining the use of smoke bombs with her sensory technique. The problem was that the others maybe didn't know how to use sensory ninjutsu and she couldn't pass by herself. It was either the team together or nobody. Raising her right hand to scratch the back of her head Yone let out a sigh.
"I know two gen---" she started to say but was cut off as Kona seemed to suffer rabies, starting to charge forwards as an enraged dog. Narrowing her eyes Yone wouldn't hesitate to move in on the other girl. As Yone noticed that Kona raised her fist, the former didn't waver at all. Pushing herself forwards, Yone attempted to tackle Kona in order to prevent her from even too close to land a hit.

A reckless man running around. Sho caught those last words as he walked up to the group from behind Mitsunari where he had been doing pushups. Honestly, he wasn't too offended by that. He would be one of the first the acknowledge that he was pretty reckless, but then again, he only was when he felt he could affort it, or when he felt like it. Kona however didn't seem to take whatever words Mitsunari said so well though. She rushed at the man like a beast. Without thinking Sho moved in line with Yone appearing before Kona as she charged her sensei and as Yone went for the tackle Sho simply remained the wall. Might Yone fail in her tackle then Sho would catch Kona's punch.

"Bind movement," he said to Kitana, not even acknowledging Kona's attack indicating that he really didn't give a shit about her or her attack. "I can do that if I can get in close. Water whip and/or Water Prison should do the trick."

A smile crept up on Mitsunari's face at the young girls reaction. She responded to taunts too easily, least Sho wasn't going mental. So as she rushed him, he didn't even budge as her teammates stopped her themselves with Kitana also helping Yone in holding back the angry little one. "Oh? Did I strike a nerve, like you struck that woman about seven, eight times? Also child I know more than you think." Mitsunari said as he overheard Sho tell what he can do. It shocked Mitsunari a bit to hear Sho admitting what he can do. Mitsunari smiled brightly at them. "For the record just cause you are using teamwork to prevent someone from getting their arm broken, doesn't count towards the objective. It's a good step though."

Kitana currently holding back Kona was ignoring her brothers taunts and hopefully so was Kona. She looked at Sho who told how he could bind Mitsunari and nodded. "Okay sounds like a plan." She said letting go of Kona to look at her brother who stood there watching them like a hawk. She would start off easy for now, taking some steps away from her allies just to not hit them, she reached into her pouch and yanked it out throwing paper shuriken at her brother who simply side stepped the assault. Yet she kept up the throwing just for that slight distraction rate.

Kona was quickly restrained by the act of Yone tackling her. A simple matter given Kona had chosen a straight path. Behind Yone stood Sho, seemingly just standing there, and in a moment Kitana was with Yone helping her hold Kona back. Kona scrambled, pushed, shoved, trying to get some kind of movement going as Mitsunari simply taunted her. Kona stopped, realizing it was useless, and just looked to the ground, taking a few steps back from Yone and Kitana.

"You presume to believe you know anything about me? Sensei Mitsunari Riojin? What is it that you think you know?"

Kona composed herself, and let her hand fall to her hip, where her confiscated tool pouch was supposed to be.

"It seems I'll actually have to get close.... not that I didn't plan to do that in the first place."

Her right eye twitched, the corner of her lips moved down as she flexed her right hand while she back two steps away. Yone's eyes narrowed as she turned her attention on somebody before she spoke up in a loud and annoyed tone.
"Can you please zip those lips?! If you don't know anything useful to say then just shut up or I am going to make you shit teeth tomorrow morning."

Scoffing Yone turned her gaze on their sensei. It was already annoying that one of her team members had just been so easy to stir up. Not to mention that she had no tools and went straight in ahead for an attack. The man hadn't even said start and besides : who just attacked another person? Perhaps this girl was indeed a killer, but Yone wasn't scared of her. She had dealt with more scrawny, dangerous looking fellows than her.
"Okay, I can try to distract him. I know a genjutsu or two. Something," Yone raised the volume of her voice for a moment, "I tried to say before somebody went apeshit," lowering her voice to a more hushed volume - audible enough for those around her - Yone continued.
"The only problem is that he probably knows what we are capable off. Doubt he is the type that isn't challenging us without doing some homework." For a moment Yone wondered if Mitsunari was much of a bookworm in his younger days. Probably.
"Else we can try to blind him with some flash or smoke bombs before we try to tango in close?"

Sho was going to snap at Kona to shut the fuck up, but apparently the newbie in the team was way ahead of him. He raised his eyebrows for just a second at her words, an almost amused expression on his face. At least this girl knew some good words. "What she said," were Sho's only words before he shifted his attention away from the whole ridiculous situation, but not before muttering: "as if we wanted to know anything about you."

Kitana was already chucking paper shuriken at his teacher as Yone suggested genjutsu. "Of course he fucking knows what we can do," he threw back at her. "But that doesn't matter. Knowing doesn't mean you can stop it. Keep him dancing until we can get close, I'd say." He placed his hand at his mouth. "What kind of annoying genjutsu tricks can you do?" he asked her before released a stream of water bullets at Mitsunari as he moved closer towards the man.

With Kona asking a question, it just raised a smirk as he kept his mouth shut as the teammates told her to shut the hell up, while suggesting bodily harm. Of course he had to keep his attention on his sister for the moment who kept throwing paper shuriken at him, before it stopped. They seemed to be coming up with a plan... well three of them that was. He folded his arms waiting wondering what their next series of attacks may be. Just then Sho launched some water bullets at him, and he spotted his sister also doing some hand seals. Yet before he could see what she was doing, he had to move out of the way of the water bullets, and as he did so paper birds were there to greet him. He reached into his pouch and grabbed three kunai, throwing and taking the birds down before they got too close. As they collapsed into sheets of paper, he didn't see one paper bomb in them. Yet of course that woulndt be the end as more paper weapons were being thrown at him. "Uh just for the record whatever it is, it hopefully can buy us more than five seconds. Brother also knows genjutsu, quite well in fact." She said low enough to keep it between them, as she threw several more shuriken at him.

Kona's attention narrowed in on the paper weapons being thrown, she ignored the others, only barely listening to catch the plan. Their insults didn't matter. All she wanted to do was sock Mitsunari a really good one.

Kona took a low combat stance, and followed Sho in. She had no intention of getting any closer then Sho did. Simply put, she was using Sho as cover for the moment.

Given the information provided by Kitana though, she suddenly stopped and waited, taking up a defensive stance once more. Kona didn't know any way to release a genjutsu, it wasn't really something she had focused on back in the academy. It'd be better for her to let Sho get close and see if she saw an opening. She'd get closer if she saw one.

A glare was shot at Sho from Yone. Her pity of before forgotten thanks due to the situation they were in. As Kitana and Sho started to distract their sensei Yone gained an idea. Using a genjutsu would be out of the question if their opponent was capable of recognizing one. Pulling out two kunai with one hand Yone would pull out two explosive tags out of her pouch. Slapping the tags around the handle of the kunai, she would throw one to soar through the air to get close to Mitsunari. She was aiming to get it close to use the explosion to force him to the left. Hopefully allowing her to throw the other to keep him moving and not giving much time to mount a defense against what the others would attempt to do to get in closer.

Closer, closer, closer. Sho steered to the left as he saw Yone's kunai come into view. At least they were doing a decent job of keeping Mitsunari occupied for now. Unless, of course, that was all an illusion. You never knew with genjutsu. It as so freaking annoying. He wouldn't say it was cheating, because there was no such thing as cheating in a fight, but it was one of the things he thoroughly despised fighting.

He was now almost next to the man so Sho turned to him, made handseals and spit out a large wave of water towards the man. It would obscure their visions of each other as it seemed Sho was preparing for another technique to use.

Dodging the water bullets and paper shuriken was what took up most of his concentration. Although if this was all they were going to do, then they would never pass. He frowned though as he saw Kona using her comrade as a shield, didn't it occur to her to ask one of her teammates to hand her tools? He took away yours not theirs afterall. Oh well this was for them, he just hoped they realized they had to include Kona in on this. Thats when he watched Sho make a rather large wave. Jumping backwards he reached into his pouch and threw a kunai with a tag attached to it to explode and counter the wave.

That was when he saw a kunai to his left with a weird handle, he squinted at first and then his eyes widened. The tag would explode sending him tumbling to the right to where paper birds would be flying at him, this time when one approached it flashed and exploded sending him back to the left. This was much better, this is what he wanted them to do. Since now they put him right back in range of Sho who was planning something. He however smiled and started getting back to his feet too see what Sho was going to throw at him. If the others were smart they would work in unison with Sho to make his strategy work.

The water wave was blown apart, but that was to be expected. It did have the desired result of blocking Mitsunari from coming closer to him right then and there. Their sensei was send back and forth as the different technqiues went off around him which was exactly what Sho wanted. As soon as Mitsunari came back towards him Sho stood at the ready. With the endless amount of seals finished he rushed up to the side of the man and thrust his hand out. A Water Prison would begin to grow from his hand around his sensei who was still getting back to his feet.

Keeping her focus on their sensei Yone was hoping that things were going as planned. It was that much clear to the teen that they were at least making it hard for the jounin to not freely move around or throw back attacks. Then again, she wasn't sure how good jounin, in general, were in combat situations so perhaps he was just toying with them. Readying herself, Yone decided that she would alter her approach as she noticed what was going on. Spotting Kona hiding behind Sho and giving Yone the idea that the former wanted to use the latter as shield Yone wondered for a second. Throwing a glance sideways at Kitana she wasn't sure what she should do. Prioritise her above others to at least land a hit or try to aid another to land a strike. Focusing back on Mitsunari, Yone would throw the explosive kunai to move to the right side of the jounin. Waiting she would let the explosion tag go off once it was near the jounin to at least drive him - hopefully - a bit away and lowering his defense, thus giving Sho more of an opening.

Kona had stayed behind Sho to keep herself from getting in the way, and it had paid off. Sho was in front of Mitsunari, and now was her time to act. She didn't have ninja tools, but she didn't need them at the range she would be at. Moving in directly behind Sho, Kona moved in beside Sho, she'd strike Mitsunari if he attempted to attack Sho or block the attack that he'd attempt if all went well. Hopefully, if Sho could get the water prison completely covering Mitsunari, they'd all be able to score a hit, and that would be check and mate.

Still getting up, he saw Sho approach him with hand out which made the sensei smile.Water prison was the boys plan huh? It would halt his movement but even if it hit, they were still missing part of their goal. Yone kept him pinned in front of Sho which was good actually. As the water started to form around Mitsunari, he made his own handseals at a fast rate and looked at Sho as he tried to reach out to grab him before the prison formed, yet what Sho would witness was his sensei being halted as he struggled to move inside his prison. The others seeing the man trapped would then come closer in an attempt to end and pass their training. Although Kona glared at the sensei and had her arm prepped to swing at the one that invoked her wrath.

However that was not what was going on at all, as soon as his handseals finished the water that was forming would splash on the ground as Sho kind of just stood there effectively trapped in his Judgement genjutsu. It would buy him enough time before he figured out what was going on. However before Kona could figure out what was happening. Mitsunari lunged to kick the small girl square in the chest with his foot to send her sprawling backwards away from Sho.

Kitana who had hope seeing the water form then drop was confused. "What?! What is he doi- Oh shit! Hes under a genjutsu! Yone, snap Sho out of it! Hit him or something. I'll distract brother." Kitana asked before weaving handseals, her body started to turn into sheets of paper and she even floated off the ground as she flew towards Mitsunari.

For a moment Yone was already smirking. It seemed that they were making it hard for their jounin to keep evading their barrage of attacks. However, the smirk vanished as Kitana told her what was going on.
"On it!" She told Kitana, starting to head towards Sho. On her way, Yone stayed wary of the possible attacks from Mitsunari. Throwing a glance at Sho a plan started to hatch in Yone's mind. Pulling out a blinding tag with one hand and another to pull out a kunai Yone was certain that just rushing in blindly without being somewhat prepared to buy herself some time wouldn't end well.

The kick caught Kona full on in the chest, and sent her backwards. Kona knew how to fall correctly and recover in a smooth motion, so as the kick caught her, she had already exhaled on instinct, so it didn't knock the wind out of her, and sort of mitigated some of the impact, but only some of it, not all of it. As she fell backwards, she threw herself into a backwards roll, using the momentum provided by the kick and adding a little more, moving backwards into a handstand position whilst still moving, and then pushing off and coming back into a standing position again. That being said though, the whole process left her slightly disoriented, so for about a fifth of a second she got her bearings, before rushing forward again to try and cover Sho again. If she got in range of Mitsunari she would attack him with a right handed palm heel strike aimed at the chest, before following with a left handed punch aimed at Mitsunari's stomach, and ending with right handed uppercut, before holding in a defensive stance and waiting for Mitsunari to counter attack, her fists up and near her face.

Got him! Triumphant Sho smirked to the man trapped in the water prison. For a Jounin he was pretty stupid if he got trapped in that. "Hit him already!" Sho yelled to the teammembers who no doubt were wasting time by just not coming to help out. He really had to do everything himself. He sighed as no one showed up and instead decided that fine, he would do it himself. With that thought lightning started to form around the hand that was stuck in the water prison.

Of course, to the outside world nothing of this was happening. Sho, however, didn't show any sign that he had any idea that he was in the genjutsu. In fact he seemed perfectly content standing there.

Things weren't going as well as they had gone a few moments ago. Yone made a brief halt as she eyed the situation. If this had been a real fight she would've bolted already. Her instincts were already 'advising' her that she should book it.
Knowing that it was even a training didn't make Yone more on edge. With it being clear that approaching Sho wouldn't be much of use unless she desired to be kicked back as Kona had been Yone would take a different approach. Slapping the flashing tag around the handle of the kunai she would aim to have the weapon go towards the ground near Sho. Hopefully, she could blind or distract Mitsunari long enough with that to knock Sho out of the genjutsu.

For Sho he would see the others coming over to help but the boy was a tad impatient and was going to do this himself it seemed. Seeing a spark caused Mitsunari to go wide eyed before spazzing about in the water from the electrical shocks. When it was said and done he would see his sensei go limp before the next thing he saw was the forming of his Water prison again, with this time Mitsunari rushing to the left and catching Kona's fist and pushing her into the red haired boy. "Hmm? Whats up Sho?" He asked with a wide grin on his face.

For the others it was different, spotting his sister approaching him at high speeds from her technique, Kona was also attacking him. One more dangerous than the other, and he treated it as such as he made handseals just as Kona was about to strike, his body and head turned a blackish color. What Kona would hit would make her feel as if her body part went numb and was causing a violent shaking within her own body. yet he caught her left hand before she could punch and pulled both of them to the side dodging Kitana's kick from above. He then shoved Kona away and reached into his pouch and retrieved his big smoke bomb. Just as he dropped it though he looked to Yone who threw a kunai and next thing he saw was a blinding light which caused him to yelp a bit as white clouded his sense. Smoke would then surrond the area around Mitsunari enveloping Kitana, Kona, and Sho. Who if he broke out might be more confused than he was in the genjutsu.

"What the..." Sho cursed as Mitsunari suddenly disappeared from his water prison. The water splashed uselessly on the ground as the technique was lost. And then Kona collided with him. That girl was seriously annoying and useless. He shoved Kona out of the way and turned his attention back on Mitsunari. With a quick glance around he looked for what his team members were doing before preparing another attack.

She tried to be cautious as her heart was skipping beats. This was practice? Seemed more like she was pulled into a real skirmish between shinobi. Beads of cold sweat kept running over her cold skin, wondering what she should do now. The developments did, however, bolster her courage as she started to run. Her plan or approach wasn't the best, but she had an idea. The smoke wasn't going to be much of a trouble as soon as she was done with freeing Sho from the genjutsu.
Picking up her pace, forcing herself to run as fast as she could, Yone narrowed her eyes as she clenched her hands for a moment into fists.
Closing in the distance the teen would move in with attempting to grab Sho with her left hand and deliver a quick knee to the face. She couldn't rely on breaking the genjutsu quickly enough with pouring her chakra into his system and hoping that it would free him. No, the pain would have to do the dirty work.

Rushing out of the smoke, as not knowing where her brother was in a clouded enviornment was dangerous to just rush at, would have prepared herself to launch an attack but something else caught her attention. "Brother! The city is being attacked!! She said as she counted multiple plunes of smoke rising into the sky. She heard about the post office but this was much worse.

Mitsunari heard this and debated if it was a trick, but grumbled and started walking out of the smoke. "Training is on hold for now. Are you serious Kitana?" He asked stepping out of the smoke not knowing Sho just got kneed in the face, and stared at the sky being engulfed in smoke. "Holy shit.... Okay new orders! We are going to aid the people agaisnt whatever threat this is. No ninjutsu unless its one hundred percent necessary. If you can't handle this, then go home! Just know that if you do you get sent to the academy. Those that come, follow me. We will group up at my clan's base and get better suited for this!"

Mitsunari stated to them as he took off running to his clan's ground, if they followed or not was not of his concern, taking out whatever this threat was his number one priority, but rushing in without protection would be asinine. Behind him Kitana was following, she beckoned for the others to follow but it was up to them in the end if they did so.

Kona had been grinning as she had gone in to hit Mitsunari. The man had been weaving handseals, trying to perform some kind of ninjutsu, however it was too late for him to block anything. Just as he finished his handseals, her punch connected, and Kona was stunned when her hand went numb, and then suddenly her left hand was caught, the follow up punch never getting a chance to reach the target. After that, Kona was pushed, and then suddenly white filled her eyes, the blinding tag that followed leaving her to stand in a defensive position for a bit waiting for her eyesight to return. As Kona did so, the smell of smoke from a smoke bomb filled her nostrils and lungs.

When her eyesight returned, she stumbled her way out of the smoke, only to hear Mitsunari say that training was on hold, and that they were heading off to assist with something, though since Kona hadn't heard anything from before. Though when she looked over and saw the plumes of smoke coming from the village, she went pale. Kona didn't waste any time, and followed behind Mitsunari and Kitana quickly, following them.

Sho was moving in again, hoping to catch Mitsunari off guard with some quick jabs as the other started to do something useful when suddenly all his movements stopped and an excruciating pain shot through his nose. Without having been able to prepare for this sudden bombardment of pain Sho's hands shot to his face. A loud curse escaped his lips. His eyes closed.

And when he opened them again the whole scenery had changed. For one thing Yone was right up to his face, her knee just lowering from whatever movement she had preformed. There was blood running through his fingers, his nose pulsated. "Fuck!" Sho cursed again as he looked around, one hand holding his bloodnose firmly, as he tried to figure out what happened. Mitsunari was nowhere near in range of punches. Kona and Kitana were doing all kinds of things and the sky was full of smoke. "What the..." he mumbled as he pushed Yone away from him. Mitsunari was barking orders. Something about following him or going back to the Academy. Sho's head was still ringing. He tried to push the idea of pain back, ignoring it, but that was surprisingly difficult. Normally he had some way to steel himself against pain when he knew he would get hit, but not this time.

Genjutsu. That was the only thing it could have been. Freaking Mitsunari. But his teacher was not here to be yelled at. So Sho shot a look at Yone. First he would have yelled at her for randomly attacking him, but now he figured that she had been the one to snap him out of that genjutsu. He was kind of grateful for that. So he just shot her a look, which probably looked more angry than he wanted too with the blood running down his face, before running after his teacher. Going out there did not sound like a good idea, no doubt he would end up in prison again, but going back to the Academy was definitely worse.

What?

The word just rang through Yone's head as she looked around. Not that she was completely oblivious to what happened but she was merely too confused on what she should do. Hearing what Mitsunari ordered made Yone's eyes widen for a moment. Throwing a look at the plumes of smoke her heart skipped a beat. Licking her lips Yone took a step backwards. Whatever was going on, it was clearly something not too pretty. The threat of Mitsunari didn't help much, but as she saw how the others started to run Yone shook her head.

Taking another step backwards she threw a quick look at Sho. The bloodied look he threw at her made it clear for Yone. She wasn't going to jump into another chaotic scene. The memory of what had happened at the Post-Office of mister Nomura was still clear in her mind. Besides, she could think of more reasons as she turned around. Running the opposite side Yone didn't care much for the fact Mitsunari would send her to the Academy. Risking her life with two people who had been suspected of murder and abuse? No thanks.

Taking a look behind him too see most of the team besides one following, that one being Yone. He paused for a second but ended up shaking his head and continued to run towards the smoke. He couldn't blame the girl, being put on a team and with the first meeting one could easily see problems between them, and a city wide event happening as well. That would be too much for most genin to handle, so he couldn't blame her but would talk with her later about this, more pressing issues were at hand. "Those that stayed, you are not to kill anyone unless you yourself are about to die. I don't need the team's rep to plummet further into the grave. Any hostiles you knock out or tie up." Mitsunari said, as he looked at Kona and grudgingly tossed her pouch at her. "Don't make me regret that kid. If I see you throw any of them to kill without it being necessary, then I myself will bring you in. Clear? Good." Mitsunari stated to the rest of the team.

Kona nodded to Mitsunari, catching her pouch and attaching it to her hip. A plan hadn't even been layed out, and all they knew was that the village was smoking, unless Mitsunari had figured out something Kona hadn't. Of course, Kona made the connection between the smoke and the smoke the post office had held, but besides that, what else could they possibly know?

I didn't plan on killing that woman.

She wanted to tell Mitsunari. Besides, she had felt that the situation warranted it back then, what the hell did she know of the situation now? Absolutely nothing. Well, she did know that the new girl hadn't followed, but besides that, nothing. Kona simply waited for the order to move[/spoili][/fieldbox]

The arrival of the Republic's army didn't cause any uproar or loud reaction. Some muttered, revealing the wary thoughts if they could consider the slightly smaller force to be truly friendly. But keeping their distance, the army of the Republic would set camp near that of the Lightning country's force. Various officers would meet up as the 'allied' force would share tasks, such as scouting and foraging. There were thanks to the distrust a growing tense atmosphere becoming present in the camp of the Lightning country soldiers and shinobi. But more than a distrustful look or frown wouldn't happen. Nobody questioned the possibility to attack and take down the forces of the Republic. Captains did a good job as well to keep their soldiers and nin in good order.

Eventually, the tense atmosphere seemed to lower a bit with the arrival of the convoy with the supplies. With that also, officers and captains were rounding up groups of soldiers and nin. One of those officers would round up a group of sixty soldiers and ten nin. A few scars made it clear that the man was a veteran of battles or so was the impression. Speaking up the man would explain the mission that would be led by the kunoichi that went by the name of Mizuchi Hojo.

The group would be tasked to head to the coast and search for any disturbing signals. Any hostile element should be taken care off so that more troops can land in the future without much of a problem.

Standing near the officer, Mizuchi silently looked over the group before her. The girl noticed a few familiar faces among the crowd, but most of the group were strangers to the girl. As the captain finished, the girl thought about what she should say. Taking a moment to calm herself, she thought back to the lessons of her younger years. A small sigh escaped her lips just after the officer finished speaking, and gazes were turned towards her.

Looking at the group, Mizuchi conisdered how she wanted to approach this before she began to speak up. Resting a hand on the hilt of her sword, Mizuchi's eyes narrowed slightly. "March Out. Close order formation." She ordered in a firm tone. It wasn't long before the group was marching out of the camp, with Mizuchi leading the formation from the right. Getting through the camp itself went off without much hassle, and soon they were outside of the camp. Heading towards the coast that was the objective of this mission.
As they marched Mizuchi felt small chills run down her spine, yet still she forced herself to keep a firm expression. Still, she felt a little uneasy as she thought about the previous mission she had been a part of. That... thing which her sister had fought against made Mizuchi shudder slightly at the thought of seeing another one of those around. She'd have to talk with the two 'Slayers' about that. Mizuchi wasn't comfortable in only having two soldiers who could take that thing down should they encounter another.

The group made a continuous march across the land, and no questions were asked. A combination of constant marching and needing to be alert contributed to the relative silence as they marched. Around five hours after departing, Mizuchi stopped the group on a hilltop that gave them a decent view of the surrounding area. Looking at the group, Mizuchi spoke up once more. "Five scouting parties will be sent out, consisting of four members each. Scout the coast, find any hostiles, then report back here. Do not engage unless absolutely nessecary." she began, studying those who began to move. Getting ready to go out and do their part for the mission.

Then she cast a look towards the rest of the soldiers assembled and spoke up once more. "The rest of the group will remain here, holding the position and keeping watch for possible enemy movement. Scouting parties will be leaving in five." she said as she looked around until she found Yumeji and Toshi. "Yumeji, Toshi, a moment of your time?" she said in a tone that was less of a request, and more of an order. She then took a few steps away from the group and waited for the other two to approach. Might as well get this out of the way before sending out the scouts.

Meanwhile the group that been sent went about preparing for their assigned tasks, with those staying on the hill going about to set up watches and the like. Nobody seemed eager to give the enemy even the slightest chance for a surprise attack. Meanwhile those in the scouting parties went about preparing to head out to do their assigned task. All done with little conversation, as they were too focused on the tasks at hand and staying aware at the moment.[/hr][/hr][/fieldbox]

Genji's First Mission,
A ride into the night!

A collab between Honorabru and Gerontis,

Summary :
Genji Hojo has been requested by Satoshi Jun - the commander of the Lightning country force in the Wolf country. He is being given the mission to escort the woman that was brought back by Team 13 to the capital of the Sky country.

After the meeting with the Republican commander Satoshi considered what he had learned. Not a lot, but the information that the locals of the country had once sided with the revolution made it clear that they weren't pleased with the manner how they were being governed. Not that he could make more than guesses, but such information could serve him well in the current campaign on restoring order. Not that he would be able to coerce the population to accept the reign of his country. That would just trigger hostility from the Republic without a doubt, leading to a serious escalation. After considering some other factors Satoshi would let it be known that he was looking for Genji Hojo. A chuunin that would be assigned to a special operation. Perhaps it wasn't the correct action, but Satoshi wasn't sure what else could serve their purpose better.

While he awaited for the Hojo to visit him in the commander's tent Satoshi did receive a message. It was brought over by a messenger hawke, that had came from Kumogakure. Hopefully, with some good news Satoshi thought to himself as he opened the envelope. "Well then." He mumbled to himself, surprised with the news. It wasn't certainly bad to read that there was 10.000 troops on their way to reinforce their current numbers. There were several questions that Satoshi worried about, but for now he would accept it as some good news.

Being a good sport had him helping out the nurses at the medical tents, running around getting whatever they needed to heal with, hold some people down that squirmed too much to be treated on without escalting injuries. As he was taking a slight break a messenger came over to him and reported that the commander needed to see him. Which surprised him, as he didn't do anything to warrant any special attention. He wasn't at the scouting party attack, and he certainly wasn't a "hero". Yet who was he to deny the commander of the army. Notifying the nurses he wouldn't be able to continue helping as the commander needed him, he marched off with the messenger.

Took a few minutes to reach the tent, yet he waited as the messenger went in to announce that he arrived. The man came out a little later and told him he could enter, so when he did he gave a respectful bow to his superior. "Genji Hojo reporting, what did you need of me commander?"

Turning to face the chuunin as he entered the tent, Satoshi took a moment to eye the other. Nodding he would speak up. "I am in need of somebody who is capable of leading a small squad and can keep his lips sealed about some facts." The commander stated on a serious tone. Placing his hands at his back Satoshi took a moment before he continued. "On a scouting task a team brought back a woman of unknown origins. She claimed after some time to be member of some ruling dynasty and was looking for help. There were various hostiles in pursue with ill-intentions. After those were dispatched the woman was brought under our care. Problem now, however," Satoshi continued as he shook his head, "Is that we have our own objectives and if her words are true then I don't want her near the Republican force. I also can't spare the shinobi that I have under my command to verify her story. The ANBU that are present in the Sky country can probably commit to such a task or perhaps the Black Guard. But for that I will need her to be escorted back up north."

Letting the words sink in it was clear what he wanted but it was now up if Genji would take up the task. While Satoshi desired to give this task to Team 13 he wasn't sure if it was a good idea. The presence of Midori Sato made some soldiers and nin more eager to commit to this campaign. With the fact that there were apparently unknown hostiles lurking around and that he couldn't fully yet trust the Republican force Satoshi deemed it wiser to keep the Hachibi's jinchuriki close at hand.

A top secret mission? Well not what he expected being part of an army force, yet who was he too complain about this. They had a woman of a ruling dynasty and wanted their help? To reclaim it? Did she not say what she needed help with? Well this already seemed like a lie, to get her away from some attackers. Yet then came what he was needed for. Having too many people move out to see if what she says is true would probably cost them, so Satoshi wanted him to escort the woman up north. So he was doing an escort mission, to keep her away from the Republican force that showed up, and the hostiles in the area.

Pausing to think about this as hes done escorts before just not when they were trying to take control of an area. "Sure commander, how many people am I being given?"

"Fifteen soldiers and five chuunin ranked nin. You'll travel on horseback with the woman dressed as a soldier." Satoshi answered. "Of course, I have made a careful selection so all of them are aware of that this will be a secretive task. If somebody does insist on knowning what you're going to do then they can take it up with me. In fact, if somebody does then I want to know who asked questions like those." Satoshi said. While he doubted that there would be any moles in the host he couldn't be truly certain. "This night I will have the horses prepared with the provisions to allow you and your group to last enough to travel to the capital of the Sky country. Afterwards, you have to head back. Think you can do that?"

So twenty in all which would work as a some escort group. Hopefully they wouldn't be engaged in any battles, yet if they did pray they were small groups that could be disposed of. The woman being dressed as a soldier would give them the appearance of twenty two soldiers, although that would be just for show most certainly. His group knew about this beforehand so that saved some annoying questions, and to those that did tell them to report to the man himself. "Alright sounds easy enough. She isn't a whinner is she?" He said trying to crack a small joke. "Yet I can do that, as long as we don't get attacked like crazy, then everything should be just fine."

The commander frowned upon hearing the question. "Let me be clear, Hojo," he said on a serious tone that already answered the 'question', "As long as we can't be certain if this woman has any ties to any ruling class or nobility, you or any of the group will touch her or approach her in any such matter. I will make it clear that I will flog you all if one just gets funny thoughts about it." The frown vanished as the serious expression seemed to plaster over the commander's facial features. "And as for attacks, I can't promise anything. I think that if you'll head back the same direction we came from you'll be safe. Already I've send out forage and scout parties who also have been tasked to wipe out any hostile contact or capture what could be scouts or spies."

Seeing the frown made him think the joke wasn't very well recieved and he knew why too. Genji raised his hands and shook his head. "Woah there commander, I didn't mean winner in that way. I meant the nagging way, but okay noted. I'll let the other soldiers know to not touch." Genji said lowering his hand now knowing that jokes and this man would not mix very well. "Alright good to know, will she be waiting to head out or will I have to go get her and then head out?"

"Good." The man said. "She will be together with the soldiers, waiting for you this night to head out. Somebody is already informing her and making sure she will know this is for her own good. This isn't the place for some civilian, after all." Satoshi grumbled the last sentence as he thought about something else. "In case you do get attacked and there are no other ways to get out then... 'take care' off the woman. Then try to get out of danger and return back."

"Okay ready and waiting makes it faster." He said going to ask if that was all to go get prepared before he heard one more thing. He was a bit silent before nodding. "Understood commander, is that all for now?"

"That is all for now. Take the day to rest out and good luck. Safe travels." Satoshi answered back, saluting with a clenched right hand placed against his fist.

"Okay I think I will. Have a long night ahead for me." Genji said as he looked at the man's salute and returned it with a smile. "Good luck to you as well with the Republican force nearby." he said as he exited the tent to go to his own to rest before the venture.

A punishment dealt,
Team Meilin - convict or praised?!

A collab made by Gerontis and Oetje.

Summary :
Summoned to the office of the Jounin Commander Zakito Hon he has a word with Meilin Cho - leader of Team Meilin/Riot. In this short collab she gets the conclussion of the mission, a punishment dealt out by the Lord Commander!

[spoili]
Sitting behind his desk Zakito looked up as the door would be opened. He had read the report once more that Kensuke had made. There were several parts he wasn't pleased with, but he had now the time to deal with them. Folding his hands together on his desk he would await for the person to enter his office.

"Glad that you could come on such a short notice." He started on a calm tone to the teenager in front of him. "I hope that you have managed to find some rest ever since coming back from the mission."

Entering the office of the Jounin commander Meilin would lie if she would answer she feeling rested or well. At least, mentally. Physically she was okay. Bowing to the man she would straighten her back.
"I have been okay, Lord Commander, sir," Meilin answered trying to flash a smile. Was it okay to smile or would it not come over serious?

"Glad to hear so," Zakito said, nodding. He would briefly glance at the report that Kensuke had made. "I have read the content of the report that your team leader has written. Before I will start I wish to ask you some questions. First," he said as he doubted that she would be the type to deny him the right to raise some questions, "I wish to know why that you decided to leave your position and try to do this on your own?"

It made her heart skip some beats, but it was no surprise that she had been requested to come over to be berated or talk about the mission. The colour of her face started to pale a bit.
"Well, Lord Commander, sir. It was that I was mostly worried about the welfare of my family. I requested the team leader if I was permitted to check upon the state of my family. He denied that request with logical reasoning. At the time my worries started to grow and seeing my experience and knowledge of Keishi I was tasked with reviewing and checking on the information we had managed to gather."
Becoming silent for a moment Meilin wondered if she would have done things differently if she had a choice and knew this would all happen. Probably not, cause it could mean that she could've ended up all alone. Without any answers or hints.
"After concluding that my family was on the list and a target or already had been targetted I decided to go on my own accord on seeing if they were still... around."

Once more a brief silence followed her words as she lowered her eyes, ashamed both of the fact she had broken protocol and failed to protect her own relatives.
"They were gone and I met only Karma at the site. She started about that she didn't trust the whole situation and from there I decided to go on my own accord to gain answers and trying to know where my relatives were... are."

Zakito remained silent as he listened to her answer. A silence followed the teen's words as he considered his next question for a moment. "And if you were given the chance would you have stayed at your position or done the same thing, knowing it could make you end up here?" He calmly asked, his right eyebrow perking up by a bit.

"Well, Lord Commander, sir, I will start my answer with an apology. I will do everything that I can do to what I have been trained both by the state and by the Cho Guards for. There were people in need and I was able to get answers as well saving some of them. I do apologise if my answer displeases you, Lord Commander, sir."
Lowering her head in a bow Meilin closed her eyes as clenched her hands into fists. She was sure that this would bring her in trouble, but she considered that she could at well at least being honest.

"Can't say that they displease me, miss Cho." Zakito answered, his voice clearly amused. The stern expression had vanished as Zakito shook his head. "I admire the fact that you're being honest while clearly aware that you broke protocols. I am not fond of people who break rules and protocols, I think that is a fact and not just a rumour," He began, "You did bring up information and we know more about the operations of the Zealots regarding the people that have gone missing in Keishi. For that, you have my thanks and I am as well pleasant surprised that a genin managed to perform so well on a mission, operating alone. Then again, this isn't the ANBU that you're with. I want the teams that are part of the Shinobi Corps to be able to cooperate when ordered so. For this, I will thus decide that you're assigned to the task of serving as 'volunteer'," He said the word with a certain emphasis to make it clear that she wasn't going to be a real volunteer or that it was point he was willing to argue about, "Within the hospital. The head of the hospital is a good friend of mine and already has been notified as well will expect you soon to report for duty. He is quite grateful with a skilled genin being assigned as temporary 'volunteer'."

Opening her eyes Meilin felt confused. She was aware that breaking rules and leaving her position was not done, but the fact that he was pleasant surprised at how she performed wasn't what she had expected. Slowly straightening her back Meilin thought about the punishment. It wasn't one that she would grit her teeth or consider it as a hefty punishment. Wasn't really convenient with her limited amount of free time, but she wouldn't complain.
Bowing once more, Meilin replied. "I hope I won't disappoint you Lord Commander, sir,"2 she said, not sure what else she should say.

"Good. Good day, miss Cho. I believe you have around three days before mr Chang expects you at the hospital." Zakito said, nodding towards the teen as he would pick up a report and start to go back to his work again.
