APPEARANCE/SECRET COSTUME: Before she had gained her powers Claudia was largely unnoticeable. Spending most of her adult life as a dedicated climate scientist she had no time to pretty up. Her hair was a dull blonde, her skin riddled with blemishes and she dressed for efficiency while working in sub-zero snowy deserts. She wasn't ugly per se -- just relatively plain and forgettable. But as her latent powers awoke, Claudia also underwent physical changes. Her hair lightened into it's current silvery color while growing expansively, her skin cleared and became jarringly pale. She was free to dress as she pleased thanks to her body no longer feeling the effects of extremely cold temperatures. A long tucked away want to be confident and beautiful stirred within her and so she embraced the changes, becoming the (somewhat self-centered) bombshell she is today.

PERSONALITY: Claudia is and has always been an intelligent individual who put thought into every word that she spoke. Recent circumstances have made her considerably vain, forgoing her previous desire as a scientist to make the world better. Preferring to not show all her cards however, Claudia chooses to mask her true intellect with a confident, care-free and ultimately sultry alter-ego that never lets on just how perceptive she is.

POWERS/SKILLS:
Cyrokinesis: At the core of Claudia's powers is her ability to create, manipulate and fully control hard ice. Her ice can be formed to anything of her choosing though its limitations lie in the fact that constantly shaping (as opposed to just blasting it) drains her energy. Her most well known use for this ability is creating ice pathways for her to glide gracefully on while traversing cities.


"Ice Queen": Claudia is capable of projecting intense coldness from her own body by altering her body's temperature to sub-zero levels, making it somewhat difficult to reach and combat her comfortably in close quarters. While she is using this power her body assumes a seemingly snow-colored form that is both beautiful and intimidating.

Weather Manipulation: Claudia is capable of altering the weather in two specific ways. She can cause both intense rain storms and blizzards but beyond that (as in thunderstorms or tornadoes) are out of her reach. In order for Claudia's storms to be effective she must maintain them however which is an energy draining process.

WEAKNESSES:
"It's still just ice bro": While Claudia's ice might be more durable than normal Ice it is still susceptible to other physical limitations of the element such as intense heat. Whatever she creates will eventually melt if the Ice Queen isn't constantly reinforcing it with new layers.

No Physical Alterations: While Claudia's abilities are powerful, she did not get changes on anything like durability or stamina. She still has the normal levels of energy and physical strength as a normal human woman. She does work out regularly to maintain her body and build stamina for making scenes across the city however.

Self Centered: Claudia's new beautiful appearance and matching alter-ego might make her a bit off putting towards others. Hardly a teammate, the Ice Queen holds herself with confidence and regality. It's easy to feel in her presence that she thinks she's better than those present. In fact, even after gaining powerful abilities she hardly uses them to protect citizens preferring to live life lavishly as a cherished celebrit.

SECRET ORIGINS: Claudia never knew her father. Her mother raised her in a small apartment in Paris where she was later recognized for her intelligence during high school. She was torn away from normality and placed in a lecture hall with people well over ten years older than her and there she spent most of her younger years interacting with scientists and mathematicians. She had few friends her age whom she could relate to but she was alright. Her peers may not have been friendly but they acknowledged her brilliance and for Claudia, that was enough.

Going into adulthood Claudia transferred into a government program. She chose to specifically the climate and the changes being caused in the atmosphere. They moved her to a scientific laboratory deep into Antarctica territory and it was there where she spent the rest of her adulthood. She grew close with a fellow scientist at the base by the name of Adams and things were beginning to look up.

But then one day, the french scientist found a large opening in an iced-over lake where the water glowed an abnormal color. Claudia was the first and only person to go and record it. But none of her readings were making sense -- they tossed everything she knew about the modern science right out the window. She could not make sense of it but she was determined to try. She spent most of her days there trying to figure out what was causing such incoherent data within the water, she had begun to become obsessed with it and it was beginning to change her in more ways than just one.

One evening back in the base, her boyfriend Adams expressed his concern and asked her to just drop the project entirely because it was becoming unhealthy. It threw Claudia into an absolute uproar and she left the base quickly -- running through a blizzard to get back to the crater. By the time she arrived the blizzard obscured all view. She fell into the water.

It drained her body of all energy and she couldn't fight as it seemingly dragged her deeper and deeper beneath the ice. She thought she was going to die.

Instead she woke up in a distant inlet incredibly sore and confused but alive. She dragged herself from the water and was shocked to see feel how she had changed. She was ghostly white and so was her hair. She was barely clothed but felt no discomfort at the cold. She could feel the power within her. Claudia was a new woman with beyond humanly powers. She got up, dusted herself off and set out to make herself a name in the world.

Now known to the public as Ice or Ice Queen, Claudia spends her time in colder countries using her beauty, persona and abilities to live comfortably and lavishly as a celebrity.

IMPRESSIONS:
Raven - What a moody little boy. Tch. You'd think after living as long as he has he'd have some semblance of social skills. Regardless, he seems stable enough and I will admit I wonder how his mind state is being immortal and all.

Alexandra - Wait. You mean Hades as in the one from mythology? She's his daughter? As in he actually exists? I'm not even sure why I'm surprised anymore to be honest.

Hex - You know she's actually quite pretty underneath all the leather, belt buckles and transportation.

Gal - Ugh. Her. She's useful but hardly worth the headaches her lack of a filter causes. She also shamelessly stares at my tits with zero effort for subtlety. Absolutely infuriating.

Metamorpho - Cute. His suits a bit of a turn off but that's something that I could try my hand fixing. His unrelenting goodness however could be a bit more difficult task, if it's even possible.

Azalia - Why we are accepting such trouble children into our ranks is truly beyond me. She's a tad unsettling with the hair color antics and those creatures of her's but the statues she makes in her free time are absolutely exquisite. She needs someone to teach her how to control her powers if we want to make sure this doesn't turn into a disaster.

Rick Flag Jr - Rather attractive himself but...he's just so American, oh my god.

Samantha - We also have a Brit. That's just grand. I'm absolutely positive we will be the closest of friends. *eye roll*

Daniel - He's eager and excitable. I'm quite on the fence about him really, I'm not sure whether to be amused by his antics and jokes or annoyed. Perhaps a good bit of both.

Calib - Out of the young people here he seems the most cultured but he's odd, I can't say I trust him with all the magic he has with that staff. Maybe he'll prove me right or maybe we'll live to regret it.

Lucas - He's the most "normal" of the children we have running around. Could use some mentoring in terms of socializing though that can be applied to most adolescents.

Enrique - He doesn't taking things seriously enough. I swear to god if he accidentally manages to melts my path of ice while I'm on it one of these days I will personally end him.

Name: Joseph "Joe" Chilton
Codename/Nicknames: Metamorpho, Insect Fighter, Officer Chill, Meta.
Age: 27
Powers/Skills: Due to his connection to what is known in most scientific circles as "The Cocoon Verse", Joe is able to summon the raw, untamed energy of the dimension through his Meta-Morpher. Although he happens to be a skilled runner, is trained in Scholastic Wrestling, Gymnastics and Defendo and is proficient in the use of firearms due to his time with The Blackhawks, he is, while unmorphed, powerless. Upon Morphing however, he gains access to a good number of powers and weapons. These are as follows:

Enhanced Strength: In his morphed state, Metamorpho is stronger than most human beings and much like an ant can lift 60 times his own weight. (235 lbs = 14100 pounds) this level of physical power allows him to Lift medium sized planes and locomotives over his own head with relative ease as well as rip the doors off of trucks and cars and put indents into materials such as solid Stone and Iron. It also works well in combat when fighting against other super powered opponents, the less powerful ones being much easier to take down due to the overall differences in size and strength.

Enhanced Speed: Many insects could move much faster than we can if they were as large as we are. Such is the case for Metamorpho, who can run 3 times faster than an Jesse Owens could in his prime according to both scientists and sports experts. It is true that in quite a number of cases, his increased agility has allowed him to outmanoeuvre both powered and non powered individuals alike, making him hard nut not impossible to hit when at his normal levels of stamina and energy

Enhanced Leaping: Joe's other Ability's include, of all things, the ability to leap to great heights. It is said that those who unlock the power of the C-Verse, can leap great and astonishing heights, much like a giant katydid. Joe is no exception. His morphed form is capable of leaping 10 ft high and an 8th of a mile long. An impressive feat by any stretch of the imagination. This, coupled with Joe's gymnast skills, allows him to flip a good many times before landing either on his feet, or sometimes on his back. It also allows him to fly a great distance after being knocked back by more powerful attacks.

Super Durability: The C-Verse also grants those who access it stronger skin than they have without it. As a result, Joe is capable of withstanding attacks that would injure or even kill most regular human beings and can withstand having bricks, heavy metal and even energy blasts thrown at him to a certain degree, it all depends on his levels of stamina at the time.

Outside of his powers, as said previously, Joe is well skilled in two kinds of martial arts, both of which he has learned as a civilian and in his training for the SCPD. These are of Course Amateur Wrestling and the police utilised martial art of Defendo, the former of which he has won several for due to participation in his College's wrestling team. It was also during his time in college where he learned he was naturally skilled in gymnastics. Unlocking this innate ability has made him skilled in such things as jumping, somersaults and of course back flips. The Defendo skills of course came from his police training and is the one Joe is most comfortable about using, not to mention the one he happens to be more proficient at. He also happens to be greatly into swimming. Although this is mostly for fun, Joe has been known to swim a full 4 and a half miles without needing to take a breather depending on his health and energy. Running is a different story, as this is something Joe takes seriously in a big way. When you're a police officer you are expected to be able to catch criminals on foot with little trouble and by maintaining a regular, daily training regiment which involves running 6 miles from home and back every morning, Joe is able to keep up with those demands.

Weaknesses: Although most objects and weapons cannot cut through his suit, the amount of energy coursing through Metamorpho's costume and body while morphed causes any hits that register to trigger a power surge that causes sparks to leap off of the target and other times through them to the ground when they're hit hard enough. Enough registered hits can force those in morphed form to de-morph so that the powers can have enough time to repair themselves. If however the morpher is damaged or in a worst case scenario destroyed, re morphing becomes impossible unless the damage to the Morpher can be repaired. In his unmorphed state, while about to take down small groups of people, larger gang attacks tend to be too much for Joe causing him to have to Morph in such situations when he or others are in danger.

To complicate matters further, Meta's powers are in turn, maintained by a code of conduct and rules. Should those rules ever be broken then the morpher's other functions will kick in, and he will loose that power from the range of a day to permanently depending on the severity of his actions. The 1st rule is never to use the energy of the Cocoon Verse for malicious or selfish reasons. Rule number two is that the user of the morpher can never escalate a fight for unjustifiable reasons, meaning that unnecessary brutality is forbidden, this, due to his training, is something that Joe has to learn to control. Last but not least, the third and final rule is that the wearer can never disclose his true identity, as it would put the lives of himself and everyone around him at risk. This rule however is more flexible than the other two and pretty much depends on who the people he reveals his face to are as people.

Also, Metamorpho's energy is by no means limitless. In fact most of his energy is based entirely on mental and physical stamina. If Joe is tired in both regards or even sick, it transfers into the morphed form. Even then as Metamorpho, enough time and enough patience can wear Joe down to the point of having to de-morph. Not even his equipment is indestructible, as hard enough blows can damage even the Stag-Master to the point of needing serious repairs. Outside of his costume, the only two noticeable vices Joe has are his minor taste for whisky and a love for bacon steaks and eggs which tends to through his almost ridged training regiment slightly out of whack. Above all else, it cannot be forgotten that without his powers, joe is as human as everyone else and when unmorphed can be shot, stabbed, strangled, etc.

Equipment: By morphing, Joe also produces a full body set of nano fibre and chrome armour plating as well as several additions that aid him in the fight against evil. the antenna on his helmet for example, grant their user a sort of Radio sense that allows them to hear from up to 4 miles away. This ability is unlocked through concentration and can be stopped when said concentration is broken. The suit also protects it's wearer from being cut by most human made weapons at the price of the previously mentioned power surges. Stronger and more unusual weapons like lazers and magic based attacks can also pierce the suit's defences. Meta also possesses a "Web Gun" that allows him to temporarily trap his opponents. however, he is only ever to use the gun for defence, otherwise it is taken from him for up to an hour.

Of course the most powerful of the weapons granted by the Cocoon Verse is the giant robot known as The "Stag-Master." A giant, humanoid mecha with insect like features that he is able to utilise only in the most dire of situations. the Stag-Master weighs approximately 1000 tons, can lift a small mountain off the ground and is utalised both for the prevention of natural disasters and for the fighting of Kaiju. Finally, there's the "Meta-Morpher" than acts as a "Belt Buckle" around Joe's waist when unmorphed. By punching the buckle in such a way and uttering the activation phrase: "Meta! Morph!", Joe can transform into his Metamorpho form and back again.

Personality: When it comes to personality, Joe is one of the most reliable people you could meet. As a police officer he is seemingly highly dedicated to his work, something that transfers and carries on into his role as a superhero. He embraces the active side of police life with a deep level of enthusiasm, but utterly hates any kind of red tape that he feels keeps him from doing what's right. To complicate matters, due to the corruption and racism in the SCPD, doing the supposed "Right thing" is somewhat difficult to achieve and in turn, Joe has a great deal of contempt and distrust for most of the other men and women on the force. When he sees others in trouble or in need of help, he almost instinctively will try to help them, both as himself and as Metamorpho. Who he chooses to be at that point depends on the situation.

Out of his costume and uniform, Joe is a pretty fun guy to be around. Once outside the limits of his uniform, he is happily able to joke and clown around with the best of em. He can become slightly annoying and slobbish in this mindset of course but given his dedication while on duty, it's easy to justify his laid back attitude while off duty. Joe is therefore seen, by those who know him, as a fun and trustworthy person to be around and is the guy many ordinary citizens respect and admire around the community. This alternate way of thinking, like his eating habits can cause Joe to throw off his usual routine. He's also a firm believer in doing onto others as they would do by him, even if few he knows feel the same way.

Despite his excellent work as a cop, he isn't really too skilled in giving advice outside of that line of expertise. Another unfortunate thing about the guy is that he happens to be a bit of a loner apart from a small handful of friends, due in part to him being unpopular in the police force due to his lack of corruption and general attitude in the workplace. Most of the other officers tend to keep their distance from Joe fearing that he will get them killed. in some way. Although Joe tries to hide the pain of this, given his own childhood and the general loneliness and occasional loss of friends for various reasons he went through back then, the heartache he feels over this sometimes tends to slip out onto his facial expressions.

When it come to Sun City, Joe wishes more than anything he could say he loved his city. Unfortunately, this would mostly be a lie. Although he can rarely express with shame or hesitation his pride and respect for most of the people in the city, Joe recognises how messed up it is outside of it's deceptive appearance as "America's Vacation Capital", and feels frustrated that no one else outside of the criminals, politicians, corrupt business people and his own force can see that as plenty of tourists still visit the city despite the dangers it poses to them. Although Joe can still help out as a cop and as Metamorpho, he sometimes feels overwhelmed by the load and wishes he had more help than he does in these matters and given the steady rise of crime he sometimes has trouble figuring out what to do. While he does use the C-Verse powers for good, the higher sense of purpose and range in what can be done with them tend to lead to Joe sometimes overusing them or using them when it isn't fully necessary. In some cases, Joe has become a mild addict to his alter ego and is usually more willing to show his fun side when in hero mode.


Location: Sun City, Florida.

Secret Origin: Once upon a time, somewhere in the space between good and evil, darkness and light, there existed and still exists a dimension of pure energy known as the Universal Cocoon of Power. How it came to be or why it exists has been and always will be somewhat of an unsolvable mystery. Many seem to believe that when the Insect Gods of old passed on, due to belief in and worship of them fading away in time, they created The Cocoon-verse as a way for something of them to be left behind once they faded away into Parts Unknown. With it, they left an unlockable gate so that those with good purpose might use it's powers for the betterment of others. Alas however, we humans or at least the majority of us, due to our primitive nature technologically as well as scientifically, were unable to harness it's energy and so it was up to other races on other planets to unlock the door and tap into the cocoon's insectoid properties. It was soon discovered however that without the correct means to harness and channel this energy, mortal bodies simply wouldn't be able to cope with the immense power.

It was to this end that the race of beings known as the Czarnians, a greatly progressive race indeed, moulded and refined the energy into a series of powers, weapons and disguises stored in 6 chrome devices known by their creators as the ''Meta-Morphers.'' Upon their creation these small, hand held gadgets were spread throughout the galaxy and put onto different planets via six space exploratory vessels. That is where our story begins. One of these vessels, the 5th one to be precise, made it's way to our galaxy with the firm intent of leaving it's cargo on the planet Mars. This plan was irreversibly sidetracked when, having deflected an earth bound asteroid...with the hull of the ship, the pilot was forced to crash land on the Planet earth, where a subsequent rock-slide buried all but the entrance. Where it had landed: The eastern part of what would become known as the state of Florida. The Year: 1843.

And so, for 167 years the spaceship and it's deceased occupant lay buried under the rocks, more or less undiscovered. that is to say that any creature that did manage to discover the ship and make it's way inside seldom lived to talk about it. However in time, even the ship's security mechanisms short circuited and died due to no one being around to recharge them. It took 57 years for them to die and for another 100, nothing more was seen or heard of the ship or it's contents. That is, untill Joe Chilton happened to discover it one day.

Joseph Chilton was born on March 10th 1983 to mother Alice Chilton and his father Max Chilton Jr in Calvin City, Connecticut. Calvin City already had a reputation as a place of heroes and during Joe's childhood, he would learn why. the city was of course, home to the superhero group known as the Seven Soldiers of Victory. The leading heroes of the New England area of the country. Joe's father was, as his son would be later in life, a cop, working for the CCPD. He had had the privilege of working with and assisting the Seven Soldiers on a number of occasions and indeed young Joe would grow up hearing stories about his heroes and their exploits starting from the tender age of 3. (Not to mention owning tons of Seven Soldiers merchandise, playing Seven Soldiers with his small clique of friends and of course watching the Seven Soldiers cartoon series every Saturday morning with his dad.)

Although Joe had a mostly great home life, his personal and social lives were something else. He had friends, sure, but even then the majority of the time, due to his then skinny and slightly diminutive physique and slight social awkwardness, he found himself to be not only the last pick on most sports teams during recess, but pretty much generally ignored and unnoticed by his peers. It was his hope therefore that someday he would become a hero like his idols and gain the respect, attention and admiration of others. then, in 1993, hard times came. The adventures dried up, accusations were passed around like candy and soon, the supehero community seemed to vanish off the face of the continent. Such of course was the fate of the SSV one day when, out of nowhere, all 7 members announced their retirement. For then 1 year old Joe Chilton, it was heartbreaking. But worse things were to happen still to the young boy. With crime in Calvin City now reaching a 10 year low, a number of officers were either layed off or transfered. Max Chilton was one of the lucky ones. His son was anything but lucky.

Pops Chilton was soon given a transfer to the police department in Sun City in Florida. and it was once there that Joe soon began to recognise the differences between his old home and his new one. Mainly that his new home was, for lack of a better term, a dump. The city was run down at best and a crime ridden shit hole at worst. Public schools in the city especially the Jr High School that Joe ended up attending, were poorly maintained, poorly staffed and poorly run. Worse still, the student body at the school was mostly made up of shallow, conformist assholes and Joe struggled even more to get by. Only the company of the people he was able to form friendships with, I.E. the Other school outcasts made up for it all in the slightest.

Joe's last year of Jr High was when things really went to hell for him and his mother. On May 22nd 1996, Joe's Father's team, a special crimes division of the Sun City Police known as the Blackhawks, were in the process of busting the operations of a formerly rich and powerful drug gang, (one that was no longer able to bribe their way out of trouble) when in the heat of battle, one of the members took of Max's protective helmet and put a slug between his eyes. The family grieved and from that point on, Alice tried everything she could to keep her soon from ending up like her husband. That never stopped Joe fro dreaming about becoming a blackhawk like his father before him. Nor did it stop him from bulding up his body and muscle mass while in high school with swimming, routine trips to the gym and of course healthier eating. Once in College he learned the finer points of self defence when it came to his College wrestling team. He left college early after that at the age of 21 and attempted to join the force. He was accepted into their ranks of course, but soon discovered that unlike the CCPD, the SCPD upheld anything but the motto ''to serve and protect.''

With the corruption in the force and their apathy towards the havoc the gangs who had them on their pay role caused in the lives of civilians, the disillusioned Joe often found himself at a loss for words and did his job quietly and without interaction with many of the other officers. this was no skin off their backs however, as they felt that associating with a guy like that would lead almost certainly to death. Eventually however, Joe made his way quickly through the ranks and became part of the Blackhawks like his dad before him. One day, in January of 2010, which is the month the heroes came back, Joe and another cop were hunting down the last remnants of the death cult known as the "Parliament of Trees" on the outskirts of Sun City, when the last remaining members managed to slip away from them behind the hills blocking the view of the ship. The guy Joe was with insisted they turn back, but Joe was having none of it and got out of the car to chase the rest of the cult down, prior to his "partner" deciding to leave him there. It was during his hunt for the rest of the trees when Joe found the ship. Entering out of curiosity, he found not only the remains of the humans that had tried and failed to enter the ship previously, but also, after a good deal of searching, the Meta-Morpher. Upon accidentally activating a hologram of the long dead Czarnian pilot, Joe soon learned about the morpher and the nature of the powers within. As luck would have it, the pilot also explained how to activate the powers.

All of this would have been strange to Joe, had he not grown up during the golden age of superheroes when stuff like this started to become normal. Upon attaching the morpher to his belt, Joe decided to give morphing a try. When the sequence was complete and Joe saw what was standing in front of him, he knew that after all these years, the dreams of his childhood had finally come true.Using these new found powers, he located and rounded up the rest of the Parliament before bringing them to Police HQ. that was about a month and a half ago. Since that time Joe, now using the codename of Metamorpho: Insect Fighter, has resigned from the Blackhawks and gone back to being a regular officer in order to provide himself with a better cover should he need to morph again. During 1st finding the powers and now, he has faced down everything from crimelords, to wife beaters to, naturally Supervillains and for the 1st time in a long time, the people of the city have a sense of hope and duty. So, in that regard, maybe there is some hope for Sun City, Florida. As long as Metamorpho's around, that is.

Inspiration for Alteration: What we have in this app is a far cry from the guy who can transmute his body into any element from the Periodic Table. i guess my biggest inspiration for the change is my general love for Tokusatsu (the Japanese term used for shows like Power Rangers, Ultraman and Kamen Rider.) and the fact that with a name like Metamorpho, the theme just seemed to fit somehow. As for using the name Joe Chilton instead of Rex Mason, that came from Harvey Dent being the name of The Superman of the Tangent Universe. It seemed like a nice tribute to that, plus I was looking for something a bit out in left field.

Sorry for the delayed responses, everyone. I was busy making my own app and it took me quite a while to get back to you all. Never fear though. Now it's back to business as usual. ^^ I'll try setting up a list of characters later on today if I have the time. Once again, feeling pretty slow today so please try to be patient. ^^;

Well, that's the thing. I was going to rework the Green Lanter powersets, but then I feared doing that because that is an entire branch of people, and what if by doing that I deter someone that wanted to join as another GL. That being said, they could all do their own thing, or I could work with someone in the future about it. I don't know. I was tip-toeing on eggshells there. Probably should have asked and thrown a character out, but my excitement was about 9000%. Seriously.

Yeah. I kept the core character similar, because of the numerous GLs, and I wanted it to be obvious who was I copying. And also because Gal Gardner made me laugh and I'm a horrible human being. So horrible.

So, if you would like, I can tweak the power set to be similar yet different. That would tweak this history a bit too, but leave pretty much everything else the same.

You shouldn't feel afraid about stuff like this, though I totally understand why you would feel like that. That being said, i would really appreciate it if you did tweak the powerset. Remember that this is a cooperative effort and All character ideas are valid. I think you were right to make your character part of a team of Lanterns. Maybe you could make Gal be part of a corp like organisation (only slightly different) as well as tweak the power set. That way everyone still has the opportunity to play their own gl, and no one will feel left out or alienated. Like, every GL is part of this organisation and each has a similar motif, but slightly altered powers. It'd certainly add some lore to the game. Not a request and certainly not a demand, but I hope you'll take it into consideration all the same. :)

Standing 5'8" and with long white hair Azalia has always been a bit of a figure to stand out in a crowd. Despite this appearance of innocence those that have seen her get upset have seen the corruption of her body first hand. Bleak and black color seems to permeate and splot her pristine white hair before beginning to consume it the more she becomes upset. But, this is not entirely exclusive. If she begins to feel attracted to someone her hair will change to blots of purple and so on with each emotional color.

Despite her hall she is a very lanky girl that despite not having much muscle has filled out rather well. With long legs and a tight frame she has taken to dressing oddly and even at times overly well dressed depending on where she is mentally or what she wants to do at that time.

Construct Magic

  1. Matter Manipulation- It matters not if it is a solid, liquid, gas or plasma, if it exists it can be bent to Azalia's will. Shaping this matter Azalia uses only her minds and her hands to guide the construction and creation of whatever it is she is trying to do. This process itself is done through incantation and strong concentration. Doing this in a combat zone requires serious concentration and mental willpower.
  2. Energy Bonds- Following the construction of whatever Azalia is attempting to build comes the bonding process. This process takes time as Azalia must inscribe the corresponding runes to allow the energy transfer to take place without a break in the chain.During this long process any interruptions could end up turning horrible as the energy being transferred could escape and go else where in the world.
  3. Seal- The seal is the last step before the activation of the construct. At this stage Azalia has two options ahead of her. With the seal closed the construct can be activated. If it remains open it can be used at a later date if required. More often than not Azalia keeps many normal construct seal's broken so she can work on them when required
  4. Activation- The spells and magic required to bring the construct to life require all previous steps to have taken place without any interruption. The entire process depends on the size of the construct. It can take five minutes to two weeks to bring a construct to life. If all previous steps were completed Azalia can begin the incantation to bestow upon the creation the breath of life. This last step drains Azalia deeply as she siphons off her own life force togive it to her creation
Dark energy manipulation-
  • Stitch- Through the manipulation of dark energy Azalia can reach out beyond her normal arms length to grab objects. The shadows surrounding her seem to stretch and writhe like living energy. These threads can shoot out to act like needles, anchors or even another hand if enough are used on one task.
  • Chaotic theory (Passive)- This is the advanced version of Murphy's Law. Instead of things happening at a whim, things around Azalia will begin to malfunction, spark and even stop working for a period of time. Things that have a low chance of occurring now have a higher chance of occurring. Bad luck follows Azalia and afflicts those around her.
  • Dark Manifestation- Pulling energy from the raw negative emotion of what makes us all human has unusual consequences. More often than not, things come along with the energy when it bursts into reality. What these things are is not known. Only Azalia knows what these energy anomalies are. Often, they dance around her causing mischief and chaos before being rounded up by the girl. They are at their basic, chaotic and distrustful.
  • Dark Possession- Unsure of what exactly she has on her hands Azalia has been pushing the anomalies into her creations by bonding them directly to the runes. After this process she will seal the construct shut leaving the anomaly to act accordingly and move with a physical body. Proving stronger and faster than normal constructs it didn't take long for the downsides to show as well. For all their benefits they were still at their core dark and chaotic. The creations at all times must be close or near Azalia for her to actively control them without them wandering around causing chaos. (Essentially she needs to herd the smaller ones.) Over time the constructs will change their outward appearance to look more like what they truly are.
  • Dark Revival- Calling upon the power of the anomalies around her she amplifies her own powers for a magical incantation meant to bring those that have perished back to life. Highly looked down upon and only doing it in secret it has left Azalia with an odd fascination with the dead. What she has done with this magical ability so far is unknown.

Weaknesses:

Near sightless- At any distance farther than a foot Azalia can not see. Due to this she relies on the sight granted to her by the creatures she constructs.

Depression: Stemming from the chaotic side of her powers the raw dark energy corrupts not only the constructs she gives life to through darkness but her mind.

Physical Weakness: Lacking in strength Azalia relies on her speed and creations to shield herself rather than blocking with her own strength. She is far from as durable as others.

Personality/Bio: Sweet, kind and loving... all words many would say that describe who Azalia Ashburn is. But, not many people know who she truly is. Azalia is a girl who deals with the very darkness that despite advancement... people still fear. Diving into this spiraling chaotic maelstrom Azalia's mind has paid the price. Years of needing to focus and feel the full strength of negative emotions have left her depressed and ridden with anxiety. But, despite these short coming when she is not using her powers she is smiling and energetic.

When out in public and not actively using her dark energy Azalia is often smiling and going from place to place without worry. Energetic and full of life she sees everything through a gilded glass window. But, behind this face is a girl who, through years of challenge and adversity has formed a strong mental wall. Unyielding and relentless in her pursuit of bettering herself she has never let her inability to see slow her down. Using this disability to better herself she found uses for her powers she never imagined and through her perseverance she gained the ability to see through that which she creates..

Dark energy itself is chaotic, random, manipulative and crazy. But, one thing that it is over all else is negative. When using her dark energy powers Azalia is opening herself up to the full strength of her most feared emotions. Having to feel them, experience them and grasp them to form the energy required it undoubtedly leaves an impact on her when finished. The aftermath of her conjuring the energy can only be described as blank. Unable to deal with the feelings any long she simply blanks herself to keep from breaking down when it matters. Whenever the event ends the full brunt of what she was keeping down hits her often causing severe bouts of depression that last until she levels herself out. The intensity of these episodes are dependent on the amount of energy required.

Secret Origin: Yellow Battery Manifestation. Able to directly pull from the Yellow and Black Batteries through a genetic adaptation and severe mutation. (I shall pretty this up!)

As it is always said... old habits die the hardest. Infact, to those who have known nothing else it is impossible for their habits to be changed. Such in the case with Azalia's family. Scientists, scholars and philosophers dominate her families past. The most prominent of which arrived during the darkest days of World War 2. Experimentation and links to the occult has led to many an odd tale. The freedom to experiment and do as they wished led to her Great Grandparents doing many experiments on their own children.

The experimentation and exposure to Gamma radiation caused Azalia's grandmother's DNA to become valuable and highly susceptible to changes. While her brother passed Azalia's grandmother continued to live through the intense manipulation. It wasn't until she was exposed to the Die Glocke that things began to take on another shape. The "Wonder Weapon", Germany's great unknown wonder. Still, to this day not understood... but what is understood is that its design seems out of this world. Its origins unknown, it was constructed by humans but who had laid the frame work?

The energy released imprinted itself onto the genetic code of Azalia's great-grandmother solidifying it and laying the framework for something that would not come to fruition for another two generations.

Darkness abounds in the mind of a young Woman. Orphaned at a young age Azalia did not know much of her family. She knew of their history but had never met her birth mother. Having been raised by her Aunt and Uncle she lived a life of relative safety. Despite all of this the young girl suffered from numerous psychological issues. Many of which led to severe issues throughout the house hold. Fleeing her home at the age of eleven the girl tried to live on her own but due to her innate blindness she was often treated poorly and taken advantage of.

Trusting to a fault at her young age she relied on the kindness of others more often than not. Sadly, the world is not a caring place... let alone the universe at large. Targeted at a young age the genetic imprint blasted into her families genetic history two generations earlier had laid the framework for this event. Having been lured through voice mimicry the girl was abducted by an unknown group of individuals. Unable to see what they were and relying on hearing alone the girl was subjected to torture and heavy genetic alteration.

The Psions had molded and shaped the mind of the woman into a conduit of energy. Much akin to Star Fire but drawing power from her already troubled mind she was cast back to earth shaken and anxiety ridden about her ordeal. Now thirteen and skittish to almost all people it wasn't until a woman took her in and tried to help her that the girl seemed to rebound. Refusing to talk about her ordeal it wasn't until the signs of abnormality appeared that her guardian realized she was different.

Now in College and far older Azalia has found a medium to keep her mind balanced. While struggling to keep herself together she has always found solace and peace in her hobbies and in the creatures that come with her presence. While they drove her Guardian often to threatening to kick to the girl out it was the internet that had saved her. The times she spent singing was finally paying off. Able to give her Guardian a hug and being able to leave for College the doors of the music industry opened up for her. Majoring in Art with a Minor in Musical Theory the girl soon found herself gaining in popularity. Soon, some of her songs were being played on the radio but, she knew she was still a very small stone in a large lake. But, compared to where she has been... it is a far greater loaction.

Having used Music and Art as a outlet for her anxiety and depression the episodes she once struggled with became less and less common. Less relying on the use of her powers and relying more on the Rabbits to assist her with day to day things she had slowly slipped into an almost Non-Violent mindset. But, the rabbits always kept her on her toes. Despite her not dealing with as much mental anguish the creatures were still chaotic and distrustful... well, to others not for the girl herself.

Inspiration for Alteration: I love the way the Fear Battery corrupts. So, I thought what if a character could tap into it without a ring. But, instead of things manifesting from a ring she is able to control it through a mutation. The raw power of the energy can bring along with it 'Creatures'

Taking the form of a larger Vistine rabbit this creature seems to be able to communicate with Azalia herself through just line of sight and oddly enough.. through very rough speech. Standing five foot compared to the rabbits 2 and a half foot this rabbit stands out from the crowd.

What exactly it is is unknown but those that have seen it walking around have noticed it has an authoritative role in keeping Azalia's chaos in check. As with all the things that Azalia creates they are chaotic but Azazel seems to be a minor exception. He gains all the powers as a regular Rabbit with the exception of increased durability to supernatural levels as well as some very odd and cartoon like attributes.

Creatures- Vistine Rabbits

Unknown creatures stemming from the very use of her powers the raw energy brings these beings forth. It is not known if they simply answer the call of the user or if they are along for the ride. What is known is that they are at their basic, chaotic, deceitful and distrustful. The only being they seem to REMOTELY listen to is Azalia herself.

Sight-
Arriving in packs of six these creatures lack much of anything other than granting Azalia sight in many different directions.

Blink/Incorporeal:
Being from another plane entirely these creatures have gained the ability to blink to different locations within their direct proximity. This also grants them the ability to go invisible to all, even Azalia herself. During this time the Sight ability is not active.

Ethereal Rend:
Although small and a little demented these rabbits are in fact rather dangerous. Their teeth seem to be able to pass through most objects as if they go incorporeal before reappearing into their victim. While this can be done it isnt always known if the rabbits can rend themselves loose afterward. (The Rabbits can attack just about anything. But, with certain metals they will get stuck to the object rather than shredding it. Its kinda funny.)

(All in all these creatures are HYSTERICAL. Think of cracked up gremlins.)

If however your version of Dark Matter is meant to be the codename used by Frederick Fleming, then I have no objections. :)Also I'd like to see a bit more backstory for the character, just to know how she got these powers.

I can very easily do that and WOW! I did not know that Dark Matter existed and that he fit VERY well with how this character feels to me. Thank you for pointing me to Frederick Fleming. I also like that costume so I may use that for Azalia but in a female form.

Also, I am going tie the Psions to Azalia.

Powers/Skills:


Rick Flag is a squadron unto himself, able to create multiple 'perfect' copies of himself, weaponry and clothing included. Generally mindless drones, they nonetheless carry the expertise, muscle memory and trained instincts of the original, and are telepathically linked to him. Richard Flag is able to - at full exertion - generate slightly upwards of 20 copies. Once generated, they are permanent entities, existing until their death, or until Richard wills their disappearance.

Aside from this power, Richard is

- An accomplished hand to hand martial artist. Of note is his invention of his own style of martial arts, tailor made to take advantage of his duplication ability.
- Style in question is a grappling heavy, acrobatic martial art with a heavy dose of striking, augmented with sheer numbers and multiple points of attack.
- Skilled in various farms of weaponry, particularly firearms.
- An expert tactician and strategist.
- Highly attuned to urban warfare, knowledgeable in the psychology of unlawful entities, and engaging in combat in city environments.
- Adept at handling a variety of vehicles.


Weaknesses:

- Although highly trained, Rick's physical qualities are of a normal humans (albeit honed to a high level), and thus unlikely to stand against higher quality supers.
- Richard is highly susceptible to telepathic assaults, for two primary reasons. 1) Psychic assaults on Rick Flag generally cause his copies to disappear and 2) psychic assaults on any of Rick's clones also affect Rick, due to the telepathic linking.

Personality: Rick has always been a man of implacable conviction. His crusade against those who oppress and exploit the weak and the poor knows no boundaries, as he is a firm believer of delivering evil unto evil, and brutality unto the brutal. This aspect of him often causes him to descend down rabbit-holes of immorality, but Rick has long since become accustomed to justifying himself as the lesser evil. Far more intelligent than his ferocity at times indicates.

Outside of his clandestine operations, Rick is generally able to maintain a veneer of cordiality, speaking with a manufactured kindness.

Location: United States. Typically rotates from major city to major city.

Origin: A 'military brat' through and through, Rick Flag knew of military discipline and integrity from the day he was born. While life constantly on the move due to his parent's redeployments had its own share of difficulties, the son of Rick Flag Sr knew only pride, for his parents fought the good fight, and so would he.

As he came of age, Rick Flag would enlist, and promptly demonstrate the same qualities of those that came before him. He was a consummate professional, disciplined and focused, gifted with a medley of talents that made him perfect for the field. He would serve with distinction across many continents.

Such professionalism would see him as a member of Task Force W, a shadowy government organization backed by an unnamed woman of strong, curt demeanor. The Task Force was particularly interested in bringing out latent potential in certain human specimens, and Rick Flag happened to have potential, manifested as an ability to self-replicate.

A one-man squadron, Rick 'single-handedly' completed many an operation. His most fateful one, however, was the destruction of a military base in Jakarta, secretly a front for construction of mindless super-soldiers underneath the control of an unknown tyrant. However, the government of Indonesia was unaware of the base's true nature, and thus demanded reparations from the United States. Furthermore, they became aware of Rick's identity, and demanded that he face justice.

As a result, the woman behind Task Force W disavowed Rick Flag Jr, and extradited him.

Granted, the extradited Rick Flag Jr was but a doppelganger. Still, it was no longer in Task Force W's best interest to utilize Rick overseas, lest he be identified again. Instead, he was given a stipend and a 'wish-list' of sorts. A list of highly wanted supervillains and organized criminals that made their home in America.

And so here he is, fighting the good fight once again.

Inspiration:
Basically my take on the Suicide Squad; Rick Flag's part of the Suicide Squad? Nah. He is the Suicide Squad now. Historically, as part of the Squad, Rick's more accustomed to handling calamities on a national or international scale. I thought it'd be fun to make his hero background as someone who deals more with the underworld of any given city, making his name as a gang of vigilantes unto himself.

@Shizuochan XD Talk about Murican pride! Nah, I kid. This is a great take on Rick and the squad in general. Will there maybe be a place for him in a JLA type setting. I guess we'll see where you take him because this Multiplying Minuteman is in! :)

Azalia is going to start Homeless and in College so it will be interesting to say the least. I added an origin story to her tieing some interesting things together. Let me know what you think and if youd like things changed.

Yo Allstar I made a pretty minor change. Claudia is currently at her NY penthouse but I listed where she has homes.

Like just in case the squad's going to need somewhere to crash during the RP who knows. :p

@AllStarGP Now to think of how a pompous celebrity like her would agreed to go around saving citizens w/ people in spandex, troubled supernatural youngins, and a guy who can multiply himself at will. Lol. Now that I am thinking about it though it's probably a publicity stunt or something. Or maybe the government somehow figured out who she originally was (the whole climate scientist she let "die" back in the Antarctic) and are using that as leverage on Ice. -w-
