It seemed as if the woman had more in her than the Hollow had anticipated. The barrier flew up around her with a frightening speed that gave the Hollow a millisecond of pause as the littlest of the Shinigami side-stepped to its flank and let loose a swipe with something sharp and long - a sword, a real weapon, something that could have a bit of sting to it - but it wasn't about to be outdone.
No, it instead dashed around the corner of the barrier, using the box as a shield to block the incoming swipe of air headed in its direction, skittering back as it reassessed its prey. They were far, far, far stronger than the morsels that it had tracked down, the souls that had been slower than molasses. These... they could almost keep up with it on foot alone, and that seemed to put a bit of a bug in the thing's craw as it chewed over the fact in its mind. Fire boiled in its mouth like a guttering furnace as it spent the next three seconds reevaluating.
It was still so terribly hungry, and these morsels - too good to pass up. Who knew when it could eat this good again, before those evil fleshly ones took hold of it and stuffed it back in a cage, to be glared down by eyes unseeing. No, it needed to get it while the getting was good, and evidently a frontal assault was the least fruitful of endeavors. It made a noise, a sort of creaking crossed between a death rattle and a cat's purr, before wholly disappearing in a flash - its Reiryoku so overwhelmingly powerful in the area that pinpointing would be like standing in front of a mountain and being asked to locate the peak from the bottom. It was hiding somewhere in the graveyard, yes, deceptively stealthy for its size, but it was hard to tell where exactly.
