Junko bristled when Yuriko mentioned there were a few spots remaining, but tried to mask it by placing a big smile on her face. "Great! Okay! Hello, everybody!" She seemed excited to see all these new people, but the look on their collective faces made her draw back from them. "You guys look awful."

"We look awful?" asked Nathan, holding out his hands in a confused gesture. He was about to say something scathing when Junko held out a hand.

"Sorry! We all look awful, I know. I just mean, eh..." The girl rubbed at the back of her neck as she thought this over. "We all want to get out, right? No need for a big introduction, I'm pretty sure I get the gist on what you guys are going through. Nothing new here! As all other ways seem to be blocked off to us, I guess it's time to head into the storage room!"

With that matter settled, the group was led through the kitchen and down a short hallway.

The lights in the storage room were dimmer than the kitchen, painting the the area in a dull red haze. The boxes here were left largely untouched, aside from a few that carried cans of spray paint and others that carried food products. Searching the other boxes would reveal various items meant for the living quarters, as well as non-perishable foods. It would seem that medical supplies, weapons, or lab equipment was not stored here. Red paint could be found on the walls, displaying various Xs and the continued phrase of Better Safe Than Sorry.

At one end of the storage room sat a large and relatively featureless metal door. This was apparently the freezer, judging by the sign next to the door relaying the safe operation of the freezer door. Placing her hand on the metal surface, Junko licked her lips.

"Oh, yeah... time to get some non-rotten food up in here! I'm starving, you know?"

"We're not here so you can stuff your fat face," Nathan said from behind her. The boy seemed trying to contain himself as he ran a shaky hand through his hair. "Why the fuck are we in here, anyway? What the hell are we looking for again?"

"I know what you're looking for," said a muffled voice in response. Junko jumped away from the door as if it had scalded her. The voice was seemingly coming from inside. "You're here to take advantage of us... make use of our work and our lives. You scattered the virus, turning us all into wrong wrong wrong!" A strange laughter erupted from behind the freezer door. "I did it. I saved us all. I took-- I took all the security! I know you're all after it, hoping to steal and use everything we've done here. No, no... that's not why it's here. It's not here for you."

"Dude, I have no idea what you're talking about," said, Junko, crossing her arms. "We just want to leave."

"Well, you won't. Youuuu woooon't. Some of us were free of the infection, but I had to stop your plans. I made sure it got behind the quarantine. There was probably a leak... There had to be a leak! I had to get rid of them all to be safe. Better safe than sorry! I had to take it all and lock myself away. Better safe than sorry!" Another fit of laughter. Junko sighed and looked back at the rest of you.

"So, what do we..."

The laughter stopped. The man behind the door sounded like he was gagging. He was choking violently, banging against the metal door. Soon, strangely enough, his bangs were getting louder. Dents started appearing in the door, starting to knock it free. Natahn swore and punched back against the group to get away. Soon enough, the freezer door was punched out of the way, revealing the man.

He'd turned into quite the monstrosity.

Sherlock turned around as he saw the monstrosity that stood taller than both Alan and Sherlock. He shook his head, a laugh of exasperation escaping his mouth as he groaned. "Bullets don't work! Damn it! Think Sherlock, think!" He quickly began preparing a plan in his head as he smiled. "Aha! Alan, hold it off!" he said, running out as he went to one of the dead zombies to remove the dead acidic creature from the inside.

Alan looked genuinely confused as he groaned "Where are you going!?" Yelled Alan, but Alan knew what he had to do, albeit begrudgingly. "Alright... Hold it off then."

Alan was gonna go all use the Light on his ass.

[BCOLOR=#000000]HAMMERS WAY WILL HAVE ITS SAY, RISE UP IN THEIR NAME[/BCOLOR]

It certainly was a good mix for Alan at the moment. Running toward it in a hurry, and albeit the situation not warrant it, he gave the beam a forced Concentration on the Hulk, more crazy what he's doing but either way, to buy Sherlock enough time, he did it anyways. As he grabbed his revolver and pointed it at its eye, he'd hope the shot was clear. The stopping power of a weapon like that would be devastating, a crazy attempt. But either way, he'd do it. Alan yelled out at the thing, "Hey! Over here!" Before smiling. And with Odin's might being his guide.

Hammers way had its say, as the trigger was pulled, the bright light engulfing the room with it for a moment as he had hoped it reached it, or got its attention.

Once Jean, Daniel, and Shion started breaking open the storage boxes, there wouldn't be much of use. Thankfully, it seemed not everything was useless. Butcher knives, buzz saw blades, and a nail gun were ready and prime to be used.

Emily would successfully be able to cut into the creature. It only roared in response, but it just couldn't do anything about this! Except for, that is, to suddenly run backward and slam its back, and Emily, into a pile of the wooden storage boxes. Like a rushing avalanche, heaps of boxes and equipment would rain down around the beast. With Emily knocked off from the impact, the creature tossed out its giant arms to send the debris around it flying across the room, some of it dangerously close to hitting those of you standing around it. With a yelp, Nathan jumped off to the side, crawling away afterward to join Junko in her retreat back to the kitchen.

The creature then seemed intent on attacking Nezumi, but the beam of light pointed at its face made it stop. It turned to Alan, looking more annoyed than anything. When the revolver bullet slammed into its eye, the creature's head snapped backward at an unsettling angle. For any normal person, a neck bent at that angle would mean it had snapped in two. Perhaps it was the same for this creature, but it didn't seem dead yet. Its head looking up at the cieling, the creature cried out and started making its way toward Alan. It picked up speed and roared like a bull, very likely about to slam into Alan unless something was done to stop it.

Meanwhile, Sherlock would manage to pull free one of the acidic creatures from inside one of the infected. It was gross and pretty nasty, but hey, not that difficult. It seemed obvious that every dead body of the running infected contained one of these, whether they formed inside the bodies or implanted themselves while alive.

Shion picked up the nail gun curiously. He wasn't sure if he ever saw one in person or at all in his life but he quickly knew it was some type of tool for things like home repair.

"I'm guessing a good old nail gun?" Shion muttered to himself. Tools weren't needed in No.6 since it was a Utopian city. Because of the city's advanced technology and peaceful lifestyle, especially for the elite, one didn't have to worry about making home repairs for anything.

He did notice the creature turn towards Nezumi, and nearly attacked him. Shion himself wasn't sure Nezumi would be fast enough to avoid it's attack.

'How dare that thing even think of hurting him.' Shion thought as he felt as if a small bit of anger was churning in his stomach. Luckily, Alan had the creature distracted for the most part and no harm came to Nezumi and the warm, light churning sensation was gone for now.

She found she could only blink as she landed amidst the pile of boxes descending down, not resisting in the slightest as she just looked at the beast. "...Impressive! Even in that state, you still retain enough of a working brain to figure out basic problem solving skills! Oh this is extraordinary! That would help with my studies immeasurably." She picked herself up, dusting off her armor and beginning to dash forward after the creature charging straight for Alan.

"Running only makes me want you more!"

Cap would instead use her skills to throw her energy shield at the feet of the monster in an attempt to knock it to the ground.

One of the creature's large arms would move to smack away Cap's shield. This didn't deter its charge, though Emily was managing to catch up on it.

Jean grabbed two butcher knives, then, he "holstered" his pistol carefully, managing to tuck it snugly in the belt of his "Survey Corps" uniform, in the slot that usually would have held a flare gun, had it not gone missing... Then, he thought for a moment, recalling the way Levi had held his blades in battle; perhaps he could attempt a similar posture? Jean shook his head as he tried it, realizing how unnatural it felt, not to mention how dizzy he'd get spinning around like that. With a disappointed huff, he held the two butcher knives like he would hold blades from his 3d maneuver gear, carefully judging the distance between him at the creature for a moment... Then, he rushed forwards, carefully running along the walls briefly, putting his Survey Corp's training to the test without the aid of 3d maneuver gear as he drew close enough to the creature, then, he leapt towards the beast, attempting to land on it's back... If he were successfull, he'd attempt to dig into the monster's back with both of the knives, using them as makeshift climbing tools in an effort to get to a more suitable location in hopes of severing it's head, or at the very least... Dealing some damage somehow...

The nails embedded into the creature, causing it to pause before it reached Alan. It looked ready to try and swing at him anyway, but a disturbance from behind him put a stop to that. Jean would accidentally bounce off Emily in their mutual attempts to ride the beast, but Jean would manage to come out on top. Even with a hurt leg, it would seen he just had more experience with this sort of thing.

The knives were dug deeply into the creature, causing it to roar. It attempted to grab at Jean ineffectually, before backing up like it did to Emily in order to smash Jean against the wall. That was, unless something could be done before impact. The creature's tirade appeared noticeably slower, indicating that the damage done to it was doing something after all.

Jean moved out of he way, quickly scaling the creature as he attempted to slice off the creature's head, ignoring the pain in his ankle for a moment as he descended, freeing himself from the creatures hopefully in the nick of time... It looked rather durable, but, he had to try and see if chopping off it's head would do the trick, if it didn't... Then, he'd have to figure out this creature's weakness, somehow...

Alan was already prepared for this kind of situation. He dashed to the side, time slowing down for him as he would see it pass him rather abruptly before its attention focused on the others. "Look out!" Alan said, his revolver unleashing its power again as it fire against the head of the beast until...

"Everybody move!" Sherlock yelled as he ran in with the acidic monster, throwing it in a precise manner and trajectory near perfect ashe would hope it landed on its head.

CHAPTER THREE
"Traversing The Planet"

Under the barrage of nail and gun fire, the hulk found itself too confused to consider what to do with itself. It stood in place, roaring, allowing Jean a moment to cut at its head. With one quick swipe, the beast's head was cut clean off, ending its roaring. It still thrashed like a chicken and managed to to throw Jean off, but the acidic creature slamming into it was enough to end the creature's life for good. It crashed first to its knees, stuck in that pose for just a few second before its torso fell forward against the ground. This chapter of the nightmare was over, and you were all free to search for what the man had hidden in the freezer.

It had been turned off at some point-- probably a few days ago, considering the state of the food inside-- and surprisingly did not contain any dark secrets. Aside from another dead body were a large collection of the bar code devices. Most of them had been destroyed, though a few intact ones still remained. After some testing, you would find that the ones that still worked gave level 3 clearance, just enough to head to The Planet. To get to the central transport elevator, the group would have to pass by the exercise center.

Those inside the exercise center would have found that their enemy had been a little on the dumb side. The creature had tried to charge at one of them, only to miss completely and run straight into the pool. Unfortunately for it, the pool had live wires running into it from the lights above. Once the creature had been fried, it would have taken some delicate hands to eventually claim the machete embedded in its back. When all was said and done, Carl would have the weapon. He, Catherine, and Travis would join the main group as they passed by on their way to the next area. There was nowhere else to go at this point, after all.

As you all piled into the elevator, Alvin spoke over the radio to relay what he knew of The Planet. "It's called that, because it's a series of artificial environments meant for the observation of the facility's test subjects. As real as some of these will feel, try to remember you're inside a testing facility with some nasty things. You'll need to navigate the environments and find the service tunnels connected to each one. From one of those tunnels, you can get to the labs, where there is still time to find an antidote. And, of course, once that's done, you can pass through the labs to get to the comm station where I'm at. Should go without saying, but good luck, guys."

When the elevator doors opened, a very large and very heavy metal door at the end of a long hallway was revealed to you. Scanning the bar code device, the door would slowly begin to open, a large number of locks apparently holding this thing shut. Whatever was behind this door, people didn't want it to get out. Once the door finally opened, your group had to pass through a decontamination room before waiting for yet another heavily locked door to open. Finally, when that door was open, you would step out of the facility.

Xmn3dl9.jpg

Or at least, that's what it felt like. There was no discernible way to tell if this was real or not. The door you exited closed behind you fit snugly into a large rock wall that presumably masked the actual walls of the room. Alvin had given no details on where the service tunnels would be located, so it seemed you just had to aimlessly wander. Thankfully, there seemed to be a few notable things about this environment. The sounds of a river could be heard somewhere off in the distance, left of the door. Somewhere forward was an extremely large tree, one taller than the rest. What appeared to be birds had been flying right of the door, landing somewhere off in the distance.

"This is kind of disorienting," Junko said, crossing her arms. "It feels like we're totally outside... Crazy. Oh! Maybe there will be some cute animals in here!" With that, Junko decided to go off in search of that river. In contrast, Nathan didn't move, deciding to just stand next to the rock wall with a sour look on his face.

Cap had never seen anything like this before. Vegetation was something that was scarce in the world she was from. Technology was king, nature had lost a long time ago. "Stay together until we know how big this habitat really is."

Rhonda would just gasp in awe at the scene forming in front of them. "I can't believe this is inside a facility."

As they progressed onwards, with him trying to understand the new concepts he was introduced to, he found himself in rather interesting room... Looking around at the scenery, and noticing the pink haired girl heading off down the river, he was almost tempted to stay here and investigate the tree, but... Realizing that this situation might turn our rather... Unfavorable, he decided to head off towards the river in persuit of that pink haired girl.

A Dark Place away from The Dark Place

Alan and Sherlock walked outside from the confounded
place. Albeit the new scenery, Sherlock felt uncomfortable of this place and with good reason. There shouldn't be something like this here. It's underground, this facility, and it feels like they're only going deeper and deeper into it. As Sherlock took the first few steps out of the place, he'd try finding anyway to discern the place from reality, even smelling the trees, feeling the grass as he went on his own scientific journey.

But as Alan walked out, he'd move the light slowly around the artificial forest, dumbfounded at the reality Infront of him. He counted his first few steps until he stopped in his tracks upon feeling the dirt and fell to his knees, the surreal environment causing him to remember, to have the flash back of -

"Augh!" A wince came from his face, the sound audible as he held a hand up to his temple. He stood up, unaware of anybody at the moment before yelling out for her, for his dearly beloved.

"Alice!"

But upon recovery, he'd notice Sherlock staring at him wide eyed before Alan shook his head, a pant coming from his mouth for a moment before gulping, "I-I.. I'm gonna go see.. Look over.. Around there. Yell if you need me." And soon Alan went away from the rest of the group to look for whatever they needed to look for, his mind not right at the moment as he held his pistol tightly, thinking of the Taken, of Alice, and of Hell.

Shion stared awe struck. He hadn't seen a forest like this before, mainly because he lived in a city surrounded by a desert like area. The last time Nezumi saw a forest was a very long time ago. The taller of the two noticed Junko and Jean walk off towards the river.

But the sight of this place immediately calmed him. It reminded him of the place he'd seen in his dreams, the place his father had programmed into his head so that once him and his family were back together, they could find out the secret that united them. That secret scared him even now.

But now was not the time to think about those things. He put his thoughts of lonliness and trouble to the back of his mind. He missed his family so much. He wondered if Fred, Niska, Max, Mia, and Beatrice had noticed that he was gone.

But for now, he decided to wander towards the giant tree at the Forest's centre.
