"Here we go again!" Ash cried, tearing another one of the woooden spikes from his stump and pelting toward the beast like a javelin. That screwhead Nathan really needed to get his act together and start fending for himself.

The S-Mart Employee was running low on wood-he would have to find some other way to defend sooner or later. He turned to the Captain. "Nice shot, Captain! Didn't I ever tell you I love a girl in uniform? Esspecially one as skillful as you" He winked. It was time for the Ash Williams charm to once again enter the field; he'd need it to have any chance with such as amazing woman. Besides, the nurse was far to busy with the children to spare a though for him, and she'd probaby moved on already with that curly haired schmo anyway. They always went for the curly haired schmos...

As the creatures swarmed the door group, Jonny made a run for it, heading towards the lake.

"A little busy here!" Was her only reply as she went into a battle stance. Knowing these creatures that wasn't the end of it and she was soon about to be proven right.

Well, it wasn't exactly a baseball bat. But it had about the same effect. Cap's wings and Jean's knives sliced deep into the rotting flesh of Tarman's neck and his gargled cries for brains sounded out as his head was sent flying into the air. Tarman's hands fumbled at the air as the body was unsure of what action to take now that it's head had been forcibly removed. The head bounced on the ground before rolling for quite a bit until it came to a halt when it collided with a tree.

"Braaaaaains.." The cry was incomprehensible by this point due to the clean decapitation from the two. But where this might have been the end for the average undead, Tarman was a unqiue zombie. Having been filled to the brim with Trioxin Gas, mutilation, headshots, fire, none of them really worked to keep the zombies down for good.

As Ash spontaneously arrived on the scene, the spikes tore through the zombie's chest causing bits and pieces of flesh to splatter along the ground. The body itself stumbled back and it seemed like it would have toppled over at any second. But after stumbling back, the body went still for a moment before it's right hand suddenly reached to rip out smoke of the spikes and hurl them back at the three while Locus was still slumped up against a tree trying to catch his breath. He noticed that the way the head had landed, it could still catch a good sight of the others. Was it perhaps controlling the body through that manner?

Dr Grey's exclamation sounded out throughout the river area. Causing the Trioxin Zombies scattered around to take pause and wonder just what the hell that noise was and if it meant that there were more tasty brains around. Others just idly thought the noise was a zombie finding a particularly smart person with a brain or something.

As for Shion and Nezumi, the footsteps would have lead them further away from Doc Grey and the canister and deeper within the foliage. The footprints would have eventually lead them to a tree with more footprints scattered around them with the sludge-like ones standing in the middle with two other regular looking footprints aside them. The tree itself seemed to have something carved into it.

The duo and Grey would then began to hear the cries for brains coming from various points within the area. There was quite a bit more of the Zombies around other than the one Emily had found in the canister it seemed.

@C.T. @Lizzy

The zombie was admitely quite a bit surprised that the human was deciding to charge towards him after he ended up cutting himself. Was he going to surrender himself so he could munch on that tasty grey matter? As Daniel raised his foot and sent it to colide with the zombie's head, it's eyes widened in shock as it smashed into the side of the head and sent the zombie crashing to the ground. Digging it's nails into the ground, it pushed itself back up to it's feet and snapped it's neck back into place while turning towards Daniel.

"Not gonna make it this easy?! I just want your braaaaaains!" He screeched as he charged towards Daniel to try and tackle the man to the ground. Those brains would be his one way or another!

@Ryu Keiko

Cap would block the spikes with her wings as best as she could before rushing forward and using the body of Tarman as a stepping stone she'd leap over it and headed towards the head trying to finish it off with one good stomp.

@york @The Man Without Fear

The fire would slam the flying beast in the face, loosening its grip on Rhonda. She would slide down further and further, the creature screeching as it realized its prey was going to fall. It was then that Rhonda slid away completely, falling into the trees below. The foliage here was dense, so the fall was lessened by a numerous amount of branches. Near the base of a particularly large tree, Rhonda would be caught on a branch, ending her fall.

She would hear a sudden sound of buzzing from all around her. A creature would land on the same branch as her.

CCSvgEp.jpg

Below, Alan, Sherlock, and Leo would see Rhonda having landed on the branch. From the beehives in the tree would come dozens off the bug-like creatures. Some decided to fly down below and get a bit too close to those of you on the ground.

@Jeremi @Mighty Roman @ResistingTheEnlightened

It would still hurt as Rhonda landed and she would lay there for a moment letting out a groan. Then the sound of wind flapping. "Oh lord what the fuck?" This time the thought of conserving fuel went ignored as she aimed her flamethrower towards the one on the branch with her as well as towards any other bees foolish enough to come close.

"Video Log 2721. Subject: Doctor Emily Grey. Location: River. I have made quite a few distinct observations. One, the US Army is involved. Two, they have figured out a method to induce zombification in the deceased without sacrificing a single iota of brainpower! Three, nose-dialing is still as successful at reaching the US army as ever! Four, this river is approximately 9% salt. Five..." Here she paused, taking note of the sudden cries for sustenance emanating from varying spots.

"Five. There are subjects still in the area. I could find them using my built -in thermal and thermal sensors...OR I COULD USE ECHOLATION AND SONAR LIKE A DOLPHIN." She beamed, heading off quietly after that loud display.

Jean looked towards the creature's decapitated body, cockign his head as he noticed that it was still in action, barely dodging the spikes headed his way, gritting his teeth a little as he felt pain shoot from his ankle once more... Then, he noticed the head laying on the ground, it was... Alive?! Not just that, but, it looked like it might be directing the body...
1028794_1375339376225_500_281.jpg

With that in mind, Jean rushed forwards, charging the lone head on the ground as he thrust both of his knives down towards it attempting to finish off it's head for good... Normally, Jean would have run away or something, but, it seemed that the notion that he would be dead soon if he didn't reach the cure in time spurred him on; he didn't want to die a cowards death... And in order to avoid that, he'd need to keep fighting; he had to wonder if this was the same notion that spurred Eren on countless times...
Driving the knives into Tarman's severed head didn't really seem to do much other than cause the head to gurgle out in discomfort. Because having a knife shoved through your skull whether you were human or a rotting corpse stung like you wouldn't believe. The body froze up temporally as Cap came in for the stomp and the bottom of her boat was coated with bits and pieces of gooey flesh and bone shards. The body seemed to pause before swiping blindly at the air. Without the head to guide it, the body was as blind as a bat and the party could have very well walked off without it being any the wiser.

At least until Ash jumped onto it's back. It didn't need a head to realize that something was upon it. Turning around, the body sought to smash Ash between it's body and the closest tree.

"You have to mutilate the thing...Or at least get that idiot off it before it kills him." Locus coughed as he was somewhat relieved that taking out the head had somewhat weakened the creature.

"This isn't good." Shion said as his eyes widened. They found a girl? What girl did they find?...

What happened to Junko? Was she the girl? Shion backed away from the tree, his arm brushing Nezumi's as his grip on the nail gun tightened. Nezumi was quick to take on a fighting stance.

The cries of brains only grew louder and louder with every passing moment. As if the zombies could smell the brains of the three humans who had discovered the canister and then went snooping where they shouldn't have.

It seemed like Shion and Nezumi were safe for the moment but perhaps they should follow Doc Grey, strength in numbers and all. Speaking of which as Grey continued in the direction of the cries without so much as a care in the world beyond getting her hands on one of these Trioxin Zombies, the leaves began to rustle and if Grey turned her head from side to side, she would have seen what could have only been assumed to the zombies staring back at her.

"It's a human We've gotta get her brains!" One of the zombies cried out as he started towards Grey only to be shoved aside by one of his colleagues. "No! You can't have all her brains to yourself! Because that's exactly what you're going to do! We have to bring her back to join the other!"

The zombies each seemed to be in different states of decomposition with some seeming like they had just died and rose back up. Others were wearing attire that seemed like it was in style at least a hundred years ago. Or even further in Emily's case. One thing was clear however that they were all stumbling over themselves to rush towards Emily and try and tackle her to the ground. "Fine! We'll just eat the other two humans that are lurking about! One of them's armed but nothing we can't handle.."

"I DON'T CARE ABOUT HANDLING! I JUST WANT HER BRAINS!!"

Daniel smirked when he watched the zombie crash to the ground, but celebrated a bit too early when he saw him snap his neck back into place. "Crap...." He said as he cracked his knuckles. "Fine then, I guess I won't make it easy... I'm not running anymore~" he said as he watched the zombie charge towards him. He prepared himself for a tackle. He didn't want to be caught off guard and end up bitten! Come on Daniel, knock his ass down! He screamed in his head as he dug his feet into the ground, planting himself, and lowered his shoulder to counter his tackle.

@TheSpringwoodSlasher
The zombie slammed into Daniel and despite the human's preparation, Daniel's feet were pushed back along the ground. Leaving a lengthy trail in the process. But while the zombie hadn't succeeded in tacking Daniel down to the ground. This was good enough for it. It'd gotten close enough! Reaching out with it's right hand, the zombie sought to try and grip Daniel by the throat as saliva dripped from it's teeth.

"You've put up a good fight, human. But we're gonna find all of you and eat your braaaaaains!" The zombie then snapped downwards to try and bite down into Daniel's skull. What would he do to stop his brain from becoming this zombie's seven course meal?

Shion and Nezumi had stayed close to Grey. Only to be confronted with an almost comical sight of the Trioxin Zombies clambering over themselves.

It wasn't very funny though, if one thought about it. Nezumi scowled and if one of the zombies got to close he'd attempt give it a swift kick to the head. Shion quickly scanned over the decaying creatures before them and couldn't find it in him to breath properly. He sized them up, counted them. Tried to figure out their odds. Then stopped and took a deep breath, for he needed to be calm.

Daniel grunted as he was pushed back. "Crap.." he mumbled as he heard the zombie speak, as though he would win. Think Daniel think! he thought, thoughts racing a mile a minute. He felt the zombies grip on his neck and choked, spitting out words. "Not.... Yet..." he said as he reached into his pockets, pulling out the two hack saw blades he acquired. He gripped them tight in his hands, wincing as they dug into his palms, and cut between his fingers. He left the points between the fingertips out between each finger, using them like brass knuckles, as he swung up to hit the zombies arm, that was stretched out, gripping his neck.

"We can do this..." Jean muttered to himself, trying to pull himself together, as he noticed Ash's life being put at risk due to this strange creature's body, still active, and still fighting, despite it's head being put out of commission, at least ofr the time being. He knew someone had to act, and they had to act now, so, with that, he lunged forwards, attempting to pull Ash free (with his arms) from the creature before it was too late, andrenaline pumped through his body as he used his knives in an attempt to cut into the creature's body hoping to stall the creature long enough to allow both him and Ash even the smallest chances of an escape...

"...Eureka." She said under her breath. The zombies were found. The state of decomposition on more than a few of them suggested that they died mere moments ago. And yet others, judging by the clothing, were ancient. The only thing they all shared was their stumbling, a mad and frenzied dash towards her. She only smiled beneath her helmet as they rushed in, yelling about brains and she nodded excitedly. "I couldn't agree more." She said, dusting off her armor before...

"I WANT YOUR BRAINS TOO!"

She added her own hyper-excited voice to the din of yelling. "Please do come, the doctor will see you now." She remarked more coldly, her tone more logical and clinical calm than it had any right to be in the face of this oncoming zombie storm, fingers curling around the handle of something on her back.

Cap would step back and look at her handy work in silence but that didn't last long before Ash wanted to ride the bull. Really now? Shit fuck shit! Rhonda cursed in her head as she scrambled to try and get away from the burning foliage and down on some steady ground. She was half way down when suddenly one of the tree branches would snap sending her falling.

She landed on the ground with a hard thud. Groaning Rhonda tried to feel if anything was broken. Luckily that didn't seem to be the case but she was going to be hurting for a week.

Down below, Leo would conveniently find a hatchet buried in one of the trees. Perhaps it wasn't the best weapon for flying enemies, but it was better than nothing. You could see that the tree was catching fire from its top, causing a massive swarm of the bees to leave their nests. Most seem panicked and were flying in random directions, but a few were on high alert, flying low enough to grab you. In fact, one made a grab for Leo, ignoring both Alan and Sherlock for now.

@Mighty Roman @Jeremi @ResistingTheEnlightened
A single bullet fled from Alan's revolver, firing at Alan's aggresor before he began firing for the others "Watch yourself!" Alan yelled, flashing the light rather quickly, in the flashlight's hand was The Clicker, out of fear that those things would kill him. "Sherlock! Sherlock, where the Hell are you?!"

Sherlock had no knowledge of these creatures, but they were... Marvelous! Scientific wonder of bugs! Although wanting to kill him. Oh yeah, wanting to kill him. "Alaaaan!" He began running, swatting the flies with the pistol before accidentally killing one. As the body fell, he stared at it long, before hearing Alan call to him as he continued his trek,. As he arrived, he'd look at Alan before continuing his gunfire. "They seem to be some sort of mutated wasps! Hawk Wasps, probably, Pepsis grossa! Either way, those stingers are bigger than they usually are, so killing them is more than likely the better option!" He yelled before continuing his gunfire

Rhonda would land next to the trio, out of the immediate fire for now. All of you could see that it was spreading down quickly, threatening to rage across the entire forest eventually. Most of the bugs had fled, but a few still lingered, enraged just by your presence. The one on Leo began lifting him into the air, while another decided it would attack Rhonda. The few around Alan and Sherlock were not doing so well, unable to get by the men's quick reflexes.

Of course, Alan and Sherlock would notice the foliage behind them moving slightly, as if something else was lurking.

Sherlock hadn't focused on the site of the foliage ruffling, his head looked over before pointing the pistol and the flashlight carefully at the foliage. "Alan, cover me!" He said, before moving carefully to the foliage as he stared confidently.

Alan hadn't been paying much attention with the foliage, more so on keeping himself covered, until Sherlock began to move away as he groaned. "Sherlock, Goddamn it! Don't take your time, I'm kinda stressed as it is!" As he continued firing at his aggressors, at the same time protecting Sherlock.

@TheSpringwoodSlasher @C.T. @others

@TheSpringwoodSlasher @Lizzy
The zombies seemed absolutely delighted by the fact that Grey seemed so interested in them. But then one of the more recently-dead zombies came to a stop and held up his hand. "Stop, stop you idiots!" He cried out as the other zombies groaned and eventually came to a stop as well. "What?!"

"Did you even get a good look at this one before deciding you want her brains? She's dressed up like some kinda future scientist or something and you guys just want to rush right in?" The zombie who had apparently taken over the lead asked as the other zombies stopped and glanced at the humans in a rather sheepish manner. Coming off as quite awkward due to them having just only stopped trying to eat the brains of the three only a few seconds ago.

Noticing the distant trail of smoke billowing up to the top, the lead zombie grit his teeth and turned and began running away. "We'll catch them later. I don't want to stick around here anymore!" Some of the other zombies were confused at what he meant before catching a glimpse of the smoke trail as well. Having seen first-hand what Trioxin did to their corpses besides reanimating them, fire was one of the only sure ways to put them down for good. Had the humans started it intentionally or had they run into any of the other creatures who resided in this place. The zombies were usually left alone due to the fact that most of the creatures had no desire to eat something that smelled like it'd been dead since the early 1900s. Some of the other zombies also broke rank and ran off screaming in terror.

But not all of them ran as they sneered and continued rushing towards Grey and the other two. "LET THEM RUN! JUST MEANS MORE BRAINS FOR US!" But just what was Grey hiding behind her back?

"Keep your head on the job mister, besides I'm married." Well one of her was at least...

Cap would step back and look at her handy work in silence but that didn't last long before Ash wanted to ride the bull. Really now? She thought to herself before heading to help him out before Jean stepped in. Even so Cap would try and do her part by stabbing it in the abdomen pinning it to the tree with her wings if Jean had been successful at rescuing Ash.

@The Man Without Fear @york

@Mighty Roman @ResistingTheEnlightened
Being that the headless body had no real way of sensing Jean's approach, Ash was pulled off before he'd be smashed into the tree. What came next was about par the course as Cap impaled Tarman through the torso and through out the back of the tree. Severing the spine which left the creature's lower half slumped uselessly against the trunk of the tree. But the arms continued to flail outwards, desperate to grab onto anything.

Seeing that the threat was finally dealt with being that Tarman's spine had been severed and it had no real way of finding the group again thanks to Cap destroying the head. The mercenary rose to his feet and made his way over to the others.

"As I said to you before the others arrived, the assistance was appreciated. But I wonder just how many more of those creatures are lurking around here.."

@Jeremi @york @The Man Without Fear

@Ryu Kekio

@TheSpringwoodSlasher
Bits and pieces of undead flesh pelted Daniel in the eye as he swung at the arm. Pulling his head back, not because Daniel's blows hurt him. No because this prey was becoming far too much of a nuisance to try eating. Surely there had to be much more opportune prey who wouldn't put up such a fuss. Tossing Daniel to the ground of it's own accord, the zombie turned with a huff.

"I'll find someone else's brains to eat. You're too much of a pain.." The zombie bemoaned before racing off into the foilage and it seemed like Daniel would have had a moment to breath and recollect himself. Unless of course he decided to follow the zombie?

@Ryu Keiko

While all of this was going on with the zombies scattered all around, the dinosaurs and insects attacking the other survivors, one had gone unnoticed. Having been ambushed by the zombies as soon as she made her way into the outside. Everything would have gone dark as she felt the hard thud of a zombie bashing her against a tree and then dragged off to who knows where?

This unfortunate girl was Junko who finally came to and noticed that she seemed to be in some kind of cave-like setting. Only this one had zombies standing guard armed with makeshift spears, daggers, and the like. Two in particular were standing guard over Junko as she had her hands tied up and feet bound. The zombie to her left noticed that the human they had captured was finally coming to and grinned.

"She's awake! Does that I mean to get to eat her brains!?" The zombie reached out and grabbed Junko's hair and would have taken a large bite out of her skull if it were not for the footsteps which seemed to frighten the zombie into releasing her.

"How many times have I told you boys that you shouldn't eat your food right away? You savor it, enjoy it.." The new voice paused and the figure finally came into light. He seemed to be dressed like he belonged from the late 1800s or early 1900s given his attire and advanced state of decomposition. But as it proved unfortunate during the outbreak in 1969, Trioxin did wondrous things to dead tissue. But even it couldn't completley halt the decomposing process as was evident by the left arm which was only hanging on by a few strands of viscera and tissue.

"..I'm sorry, boss. I thought we could just eat her and she'd lead us to the other humans!"

zombie_copper_by_fetus_man.jpg

"We could do that, yes. But where would be the fun in simply turning her to our side right off the bat, eh? Let's see if we can get something out of her and then we gget our meal. Doesn't that sound pleasant to you, my dear?"

Her grin grew even more, confidence reaching its apex as she pulled out what was behind her back with a excited "ta-da!" It was her medical scanner, glowing bright green as she held it out, pointed at the zombies rushing on still.

"I think we just separated the smart zombies from the dumb ones." She charged up her scanner, firing it offensively, aiming for the lead zombie's skull as she dove and ducked behind a tree.

"You see, this thing in my time, with the advanced futuristic weaponry? It's just a medical scanner. But here and now? Oh children, you have no idea. This scanner, with a little tweak here and there, is capable of charging bolts with a power output of 100–150 kV at 0.2–0.3 A. For those zombies who retain their intelligence but still are not as smart as me, this means the plasma generated is enough to subject whatever it hits to half the temperature of the sun. In other words, really really really hot. It will turn you to molten slag. But don't worry!" She emerged from view once again. She smiled, hoisting the scanner back up.

"I meant it when I wanted your brains, so I'll not shoot for your heads anymore!" :D

The bug grabbing at Leo had been deterred by the earlier shot, but it managed to lift him higher after some swaying back and forth. While a fire raged around the group, a creatures stepped out of the ruffling foliage.

Hey, can we have a little chat before we eat your brains? Junko could barely believe what she was hearing. These zombies had no brains of their own, clearly.

"Uh, no."

Perhaps it hadn't hit her yet, but Junko was feeling strangely calm for the moment. She still smelled of that awful green goo, and now she had the stank of zombies all over her as well. Her hair was probably a mess after these zombies were running their gross hands through it. She really had no reason to even be here. She was supposed to be signing autographs and doing photo shoots, not being some gross monster's meal. Sighing, Junko lifted her right hand, staring at the scar running across her palm. That had been the start of her misadventures all over again. Was it even possible for her to control where she ended up?

"I probably taste bad and I'd be a really awful zombie, just so you guys know. I hear brains are tastier the smarter the person is, and I'm no Ultimate Mathematician or anything."

Shion yelped when Nezumi grabbed the back of his sweater and pulled him back some more from the charging zombies.

No matter where you were or what you were battling, it would become quickly apparent that a fire was engulfing the forest. Forced to flee to the edges of the environment, the majority of you would find service tunnels leading into new environments.

However, some of you weren't so lucky. Whether it was the flames or the monsters that did them in, Sendo Takeshi, Max Rockatansky, Huang Rong, and Jean-Luc Picard would all meet their untimely end.

Forced to end their fight with the zombies and flee, Locus, Ash, Johnny, Emily Grey, Captain America, Jean, Daniel, Shion, and Nezumi would find themselves in a sort of desert environment. They would be accompanied by Catherine, Travis, and Emily Kaldwin.
