Sherlock looked at the incoming slaughter that was arriving, that was before he even smiled at the explosion..
tumblr_mjgg91YRfH1rqiulxo1_500.gif

he looked at Alan, a wide smile upon his face as Sherlock clapped his hands in a wide eyed manner. "it seems to have worked. Let's hope not so many of the unde... Oh." He said once more until looking at Alan "Damn it... I won't be restricted of the damn gun!" He went toward Picard, ripping the gun out of his pocket before reaching inside his cost, removing the ammunition magazine before placing it inside.. "head! Shoot them in the head!" he yelled before letting out a careful and quick volley at them.

Alan looked at the ensuing explosion, satisfied with it as he looked at Sherlock and the others. "Not too bad, if I may say.." but he did notice the horde of Zombies coming in. They were like the Taken, deadly in numbers and ready to strike,

feature-Alan-Wake.jpg

But the look, upon Alans face was one that was determined and ready to fight. He lit the targets up with his flashlight, calmly and coolingly began firing from the revolver unto the targets head. "Give 'em freakin' hell!"It was only until Alan saw the goo falling from their mouths did he grab Sherlocks collar and pulled him back. "Everyone, look out! That acid shit is coming from their mouths too!"

Reactions: Takumi
Nezumi's scalpels would slide cleanly into the skulls of the infected, killing them instantly. It thinned the numbers slightly, but still more infected poured in. Many wore lab coats, as if the majority of the staff had become this horde.

The infected weren't the most intelligent of beings, doing little to dodge the blows from Cap and Locus. However, a pair of infected managed to slam into Locus and push at him. It seemed his armor and strength made it impossible for them to do much damage to him... until it seemed apparent that the acidic green substance was leaking from their mouths as well. The liquid splashed on to Locus' armor, creating a sizzling noise as it burned into the armor.

Nathan didn't respond to Daniel, looking off to the side. The sounds of fighting continued in the distance, but it seemed too far away at the moment to matter. To the side of the hall were rooms that contained what appeared to be small living spaces. Like dorms, four beds existed in each. The laughter stopped for the moment, but there seemed to be an opportunity to explore the room on the right and the room on the left.

Upon Alan's shout Nezumi noticed a few of the undead charge at Locus, so with quick throws he threw a few scalpels at their heads as well as throwing some at any other acid spewing undead that were too close to anyone else. Shion pulled out some of the scalpels Nezumi gave him earlier and tried to help with impaling zombies in the head by throwing the surgical instruments. Hopefully he would be as successful as his boyfriend.

CHAPTER TWO
"Better Safe Than Sorry"

As Alan fired on the collection of debris and oxygen tanks, sparks erupted from the impact, bursting in brilliance when caught in the stream of hissing oxygen. A great ball of flame flashed for only a second, but the heat was intense enough to compromise, setting off a chain reaction within the tanks. Comrpimised by the acidic substance and heat, the tanks exploded, catching the tail end of Alan's twin bullets and erupting into a brilliant flame that enveloped the hallway. A boom had rocked against your ears and the heat from the flames could be felt even from your positions further down the hall. A shrill alarm sounded in your ears for a few seconds before it died out.

As a result, the debris and door to the Living Quarters had been slammed outward, opening up the way. As the flames quickly dissipated, all that was left was a strong burning smell on your nostrils and smaller piles of melted debris lingering about. You were finally free to continue further into the facility, however--

Angry cries rose up from within the facility. Beyond the hallway door was a lobby that connected to the various sections of the Living Quarters. It was here that a horde of people came crashing in, all running straight for your group.

Nathan stepped into the unlocked hall with Jean and Daniel. He saw them eyeing one of the dead bodies and shook his head slightly. "Those ones are... are dead," he he tried to say dismissively, though he didn't sound as confident as he wanted. Stepping forward, he moved in to grab the wallet from Jean's hands without so much as a thanks. He then quickly doubled back to the previous room to input the man's details into the computer. Once the process was finalized, it seemed the bar code device in their possession was now good for level two clearance. With that, Nathan started to move toward the central transport, caring little if Jean or Daniel followed him.

At the doors, a loud boom could be heard from somewhere within the facility and a brief alarm sounded in turn. Nathan spun around and looked down the hall in search of the disturbance, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. "Fuck! What the fuck--"

It was then that the dead bodies in the previous room walked out into the hallway. So much for them being dead. With no weapons to defend themselves which, Nathan quickly opened the door to the central transport and ushered Jean and Daniel inside. He looked almost like he had considered going in without them, but perhaps he recognized safety in numbers.

As the doors closed behind them, Nathan let out a shaky breath of relief. He scanned the device once again to head to the Comm Center, but it seemed the device didn't have the proper clearance. Nathan swore out loud, tapping on multiple places to see if they had permission to head to any of them. The labs seemed to work, but pressing that button produced only an ERROR. Annoyed, Nathan slammed his fist on the final button-- the Living Quarters-- and the elevator started to life.

"So fucking stupid..." Nathan muttered under his breath, loud enough for the two others with him to hear. Once the door opened, the three were staring down a hallway. The sounds of screaming and fighting could be heard in the distance, but a different sound was closer. Mad laughter could be heard in one of the rooms ahead.

"One of you go ahead," Nathan practically commanded.

In the vents, a sudden alarm sounded. It was unknown what had caused it for the moment, but it soon became apparent this wasn't what you had to worry about. The Doctor, Yuriko, and The Master would feel the vents turn into a vacuum, their bodies suddenly pulled and sucked in by a great gust of air. Being slammed and pushed around like a pinball, the three would end up flying through, being tossed out of the vent and into a strange room.

Without a bar code device, it seemed the only thing to do was explore more of the vents. Thankfully, the alarm and sudden air currents had gone. Of the ones that seemed passable, there was one on the left wall, the right wall, and above you.

Jean prepared to reach for his blades, only to have the jarring reminder that he no longer had them with him, realizing he really had no way to fight against the onslaught of... Living corpses, he shuddered, even thinking about it, starting to flee with Nathan and the others, panting for breath by the time they got down the halls, the freaky laughter that had sounded moments earlier still unsettled him, but, he realized he'd have to pick a door, all he could hope for was that it was the right choice. With that in mind, Jean turned to the door on the left "I'll take this one." he said after a moment, shuffling towards it.

Like a black and white move playing around him, the world looked like a dull, old film to Carl Grimes. From the beginning of his arrival in this new location of danger, the boy stood to the side, watching the others with little interest.

"This is bullshit," he would whisper, "I just want to go home. Is that too much to ask?"

Apparently, it was too much to ask. Yet again, he was pulled into something he didn't want to be a part of. He felt almost as helpless as the time The Governor had rolled up to the prison, his home where he lived with the other survivors in his group, and utterly destroyed it after killing a very important friend of their group. He hated times like that, where he couldn't be in control of what happened around him.

And to make matters worse, he was still sore over Emily's death. Whenever he drifted off into thought, her face always appeared. She would say his name or giggle. Damn it, why did he still have to hear her voice inside his head? He wished it would go away already.

It wasn't long until his wish was granted, when a loud boom erupted into his ears, followed by a piercingly loud alarm that lasted for a few seconds. Wincing, Carl quickly covered his ears until it was over. Okay, what the hell was going on? Maybe he'd better at least start paying attention so he wouldn't end up dying like a freaking idiot...

Eyes shooting ahead to the hallway door, the boy watched with a dark expression as the hoard of monsters came pouring into their location. Instinctively, the sherif's son reached to his side to find a gun only to realize he had no weapon on him. His previous adventure had left him bare of all equipment. Great.

Hoping to act before he was in irreversible danger, Carl looked around the room for a weapon he could use to either fight the infected or at least ward them off for the time being.

Jenny awoke, mumbling something about stupid vortex hangovers. She stretched out a bit on the cold floor, soon pulling herself up into a sitting position. Her muscles ached with a burning passion, which told her that she had been here a while. She rose to her feet, looking around at the doors that were placed in a full circle. When she walked closer to one of them, a small window gave her a view to a wide bed, neatly tucked in and folded like it hadn't been used. There was a dresser on the left side of it, mahogany in colour and bigger than the bed by about two feet. Goosebumps formed on her arm, and she absentmindedly rubbed her hands up and down her arms to generate heat. The bed looked warm, almost inviting. She extended her hand towards the handle of the door, somehow drawn to the prospect of sleeping for another, oh I don't know, hundred years. When her hand connected with the cool metal, she jiggled it a bit, trying to get it to unlock.

But the idea was soon found to be not one of her smartest plans.A large man ran up to the window connecting outside and threw himself against it, eyes wide and bloodshot. He slobbered on the window, and Jenny could see very clearly his teeth snapping away at the girl outside. She screamed out when he collided with the door, jumping backwards and consequently falling on her bum. She crawled backwards away from the doors, eyes wide in terror.

She had seen some things, but this was all new. She scrambled to her feet and backed against the wall. The man was still going away at the door, moans escaping from where the door didn't muffle the sound. She didn't know who, or what it was, but it scared her all right. She heard an alarm briefly go off and jumped a bit, taking a deep breath. "Calm down, it's fine. He's not going to get out." She told herself. That was partially true, because instead of going for the door handle, he was munching away at open air. She shivered as she took one last look at the man, and made her way down the hallway. Probably not the best move, since she didn't know she was walking towards a whole lot more of them.

Enter: the Zombies. During his time as the chosen one, Ash had seen a variety of strange creatures; A Deadites Moose, Deadite Cowboys, Deadite Nazis and Deadite babies just to name a few. But what stood before him that night blew all of those things out of the water; actual Deadite Zombies.
There was only one thing he could say to that
"Groovy"
"Be careful, baby, you may want to look away; things are bbiut to get real ugly"
Prepping his wooden monstrosity, he leaped into combat, swinging his plants and spalattering blood as if there were no tomorrow. Ash grabbed his make-shift chainsaw(otheewise known as Planky), plunging it into the gut of one of the larger creatures before twisting it inside the wound. Kicking the deadite from the weapon, the creatures stomach ruptured, splatting ooze toward the S-Met Employee, fuzzing against his breastplate. Swiftly removing it with his good hand,he continued to swing it around at the creatures; maybe the ooze wasn't damaging to their own organics, but pain certainly was. So much for useless Armour
"So which one of you screwheads is going to be the first to go back to hell? Come get some!" One of the creatures charged at him, just as he began to charge at it, smaking it across the head with his bare fist. The creatures skin burned his hand upon contact, but he knew the pain he had caused it out weighed the damage it had caused him.
"So do you believe I can save you from Candarian Demons now?"

Meanwhile, Jonny sat in the corner, screaming

Carl would only be able to find a steel pipe from the debris. For now, anyway.

The infected seemed to catch on to the bullets and projectiles being aimed at their heads, weaving back in forth as they ran to disrupt your aim. As a result, some of the infected got rather close to Shion before being felled, their acidic spittle flying close enough to land on Shion's clothes, singing them. Ash was killing most of the infected, though at the cost of getting dangerously close to the creatures.

Eventually, the stream of infected stopped, but what followed was a strange looking creature.

It cried out before shooting a ball of the acidic substance that exploded mid-air and began to coat the ground beneath the group's feet. It was unsafe to stay in the lobby any longer, and with the infected still outnumbering you, it looked like the only option was to back off into one of the other sections of the Living Quarters.

The options available were back toward the medical services hallway, the exercise room, the lounge, and the dorms.

Jenny stopped short about one foot away from them, nearly tripping over her own feet as she came face to face with people. Hopefully, sane and right people. She skidded to a stop, hands flying up to steady herself from falling down. She wasn't usually this clumsy, and if this was a scenario when running from angry potato people -- Aka Sontarans, or Daleks or even some other wild scenario that was overall frightening to a normal person, she would be right as rain. But this, this was.. way beyond her. She didn't even know how well her father would fare in this type of monstrosity. Coming back to reality, she moved some of the blonde streaks of hair that had come loose, pushing them behind her ear before waving in a kind of awkward fashion. "Hi." Her English accent shone through the one word, and she stood there for a few seconds trying to put her thoughts together and somehow convince herself that the man in that room was all a hallucination. She jutted her thumb backwards in the general vicinity of the rooms, where the man was still trying to get to her. He wasn't doing very well, though, because the whole scuttle-like window was now covered with a yellow-green slobber. She didn't even dare look back, her eyes fixed on the group of three. "He's all in my imagination, right?" She asked them. Maybe asking a group of strangers if she was hallucinating wasn't the best course of action, but it was all she had. Upon hearing their warning, she spared a glance to the man in the window. She made a face and turned back to them. "Can't be any worse than what's over there, can it?" She asked, more of a rhetorical question than an actual, answer-seeking one.

Jean blinked, keeping his guard up, he had a really bad feeling about this whole thing, but, rationality says that he should wait to see if this girl approaching them posed much if any of a threat, but, knowing this place reasonably well... It's more than likely she'd try and take their lives.

Nathan noticeably stiffened at the girl's question. His eyes wandered beyond her and toward the monster she was pointing to, confirming that, yes, this place wasn't safe either. After a moment, Nathan managed to say, "He's real." His voice belayed the idea that he himself was finding it hard to come to terms with the reality of the situation. "Did you... Did you wake up here?" he asked, managing to keep himself cool for the moment. His eyes stayed on the creature as he talked. "Or do you work here?"

That mad laughter echoed from down the hall once again, signalling that something else lurked nearby.

Daniel looked at the girl that walked towards them... Trying to judge the best response to something so.... Eerie. He stood left of Jean, balling his fist. No weapons... Nothing to defend himself... Or the others for that matter. What can I even do... He thought to himself as he awaited the girl's reaction towards them and to see if she would actually answer Nathan's questions.

Daniel heard the laughter and looked around and behind them, "I definitely agree with you both.." he said, rubbing his arm. He was losing the confidence he so little had... What was with this place? "I'm thinking we should probably get out of here.... Or find something... Or someone, to help us." he mumbled.

Damn it! How could he have been so careless? These creatures seemed to evolving and developing new tactics to use againt them. With some growing claws and becoming much more ferocious. To these ones being able to spit acid onto his armor and for it to actually seem like it was burning through it. He had to pull off the section of this armor before the acid burned through the upper layer and beyond. But first he had to get some distance from these creatures. Suddenly, he'd seek to sweep under the legs under one of the creatures and then smash his foot into the head of the other one to send it stumbling aside.

He had to work fast. If this armor was powerful enough to burn through his armor than he couldn't risk taking another direct hit, especially not by two of them. If he removed the upper layer and got blasted again, well the consequences there didn't bare thinking about. He never failed a mission and he wouldn't die here.

Unstrapping the upper chest-plate section of his armor, he'd seek to toss it off to the side. If he had the right materials he might have been able to mend the armor. But that didn't seem like it'd be an option here and he wasn't going to waste his time by hoping for some kind of miracle.

CHAPTER TWO
"Better Safe Than Sorry"

---

'Well.' said The Doctor. 'To Rassilon's Tower we go. Above, through or below. Or in this case, left, right or up. Now, splitting up will probably get someone killed, so how about we vote on where to go?'

Almost immediately after the Master tossed the head down the hole the vents acted up, once they were done being pinballs and hit the ground the Master quickly jumped back on his feet, dusting himself as he said "Oh Nelly! Miss Ventalation here really hates Zombie Head doesn't she? All she had to do was say, I can bring werewolf head next time". Then only after making that crude joke did he actually pay mind to the Doctor's question and responded "Why go anyway but up? Up in the world, up in life?".

Nathan held out a hand to stop Jean. His eyes narrowed on a figure coming down the hall. In the dim light, they could only see it was a girl until she came up close to them. "Who the fuck--" Nathan shook his head. "Stay back, okay!"

A steel pipe. Well, he'd definitely used worse things as weapons. Clutching the pipe tightly, Carl made his way forward grateful he didn't have to use it. The injected seemed to disapate, for now. The presence of the new creature that arrived, however, was more than enough to convince the boy he should get out of the lobby. He rushed out of the area and headed for the exercise room. The medical services hallway sounded like a good idea too, but he wasn't injured at the moment physically and didn't care to help out if anyone was.

Cap would block the acid as best as she could with her shield and leaping back to avoid it.

"Back off everyone it's not safe here anymore!"

She pointed towards the medical service hallway. "Head back to some safer ground! I'll try to hold them off as best as I can ! Go!"

Well this was as much as an emergency as any. "Fire in the hole!" Rhonda would aim her flame thrower arm towards the Spitter and let loose a stream of fire towards the creature to hopefully kill it or at least have it get distracted.

"GASP! ACID! AND A POTENT ONE, TOO! BE REALLY CAREFUL, IT WOULD ONLY TAKE ABOUT 0.6 SECONDS FOR AN ACID OF THAT MAGNITUDE TO DISSOLVE YOUR EPIDERMIS, DERMIS AND HYPODERMIS AND MOVE ON TO SEARING YOUR BONES IF IT MAKES CONTACT! AND THAT'S REALLY THE OPPOSITE OF GOOD, YES SIRREE!" Her head nodded up and down like a haywire piston, moving so rapidly as her mind raced a mile a minute.

"Yes! Running sounds good." She took off without another word.

Sherlock saw the Spitter as he eyed it with curiosity, excitement, and anger as it began flushing out the acid material from its mouth. Sherlock threw a fit over the situation before his focus web toward the Spitter, firing the pistol at its stomach thinking that the acid content was inside there. "Correction! The chemical reaction with the dermis is instantaneous, and highly corrosive!" Sherlock saw the material and began to retreat with Alan to the medical room.

"it doesn't matter anymore! We can hold off near the transport while we take the bastards, but we can't stay here! Find cover!" Yelled Alan as he quickly began to fire the last three shots of his gun.
