Starlight City. That's it. Not Starlight Kingdom. That one is for the history books. Located on an island roughly twice the size of the combined mass of the Hawaiian islands at a halfway point between the east coast of the USA and the UK.

In ancient times, it was called Atlantis. Now, it's got other nicknames. Not all of them are repeatable in polite company. You see, reality itself is just a little... damaged around this island, and portals directly to places people call Heaven and Hell both for lack of a better word, and, well, the things who come through those portals call them that too.

That's not the only pair of portals you'll find in Starlight City. The main civic center plaza has a huge one. But, you really never know where that one is going to go, or who or what is going to come out of it. Why base your city around such a random thing? Would you rather the strange visitors from other realities show up on the outskirts of town, where if they have ill intent they have plenty of time to hatch their nefarious plans? See, I knew you'd get it.

And that was great, sort of, for awhile. Then, well, portals just started showing up all over. People appearing, disappearing, and so on. Reality just was blindfolded and handed a big handful of darts. If you get hit by one, you might get superhuman powers. You might... well disappear. The thing is, a lot of people are really tempted to take that chance. Plus, rumor has it that there's other things out there, enhancers if you will, that can amp you up as surely as that random bolt from heaven, hell, or wherever, can.

Even if you're not interested in becoming more than human, it's pretty much the best place in the world to get fame and notoriety, so there is that. Or, you might have just been born here and this crazy is the normal you know.

Starlight City is a easy to find city. It is a world where heroes, villains and supernatural creatures live. It borders the world of fiction and fanfiction. Come to the city, we have a school, some great attractions and have a good time! Just know that death could lurk around any corner. - Taken from a tourist who left.... It's all lies.

Locations

Starlight Academy- The school Academy where students can enroll and take classes from daycare all the way up to and through college. This will consist of the dorms, the connecting bridge between dorms, classrooms, houses for the teachers and the school's boiler room and adminstration office and medical wing

Police Station- This consists of the station and the meta-human task force for the city and includes the jail.

Starlight Graveyard- This is the graveyard where there is a certain god who you can make deals with to bring your loved ones back from the dead or visit the dead.

Glistening Lake/Rainbow Forest- It is a rainbow lake and it shows you your favorite colors at certain times of day. The lake can give you powers if it deems that you are worthy. There's a guardian sprite of the lake. The forest is the area that surrounds the lake and holds the cities worst creatures

Downtown Starlight City-- This consists of the park, plaza, town hall, hospital, the hotel, orphanage, harbor, bar, resturant/ brothel, apartments and Superior Genetic Modification Industries.

Mirroredge Pantheon- This is where the gods of the city reside.

Starlight Crevice- This is where the ruins of church are. The portals to Heaven and Hell are also located there.

Shining Stars- The fancy hotel where most events are held.

The portal- This is where people from other worlds can stumble into here. (limited to 4 per person)

Appearance: In his mortal form, he has medium brown hair along with the most spectcular blue eyes that you could imagine. He has a nice sculpted face and has a faint aftershadow. He typically wears a gray fedora on his head along with a surfboard necklace and a watch. His attire consists of a gray dress shirt, black jeans and dress shoes. He towers most mortals being seven feet tall. He sometimes carries his hero sword by his side. In his hero form, he wears blue and black armor that cover his whole body and his sword changes to be a blue time sword along with a black mask. In his god form, he stands at seven hundred feet tall and doesn't look much different from his normal form.

Personality: He is a man who is kind to all of the people he meets, even if they have done bad things in the past. As a teacher, he often tells to take their time with problems and is very helpful, he has extreme patience. As a principal and head god, he can be very stern when it comes to rules and does not show any favoritism ( even towards his own sons.) As a hero, he is sarcastic and kind and will try to make compromises.
Weakness(ONE FOR EACH ABILITY/POWER): His family is one of his great weakness. Using his chronokinesis can drain his energy a whole lot and hurts him a whole lot. Time travel often messes with his mind. One of the great weakness that he has though is godarium, a rare mineral that killed all of his ancestors.

Appearance: Siri is 5 foot 7 inches and roughly 130 pounds. She is thin and slightly athletic. Her fashion choices are quite wild for a girl who hates to stand out. Her make is made to look natural. Her eyes are actually a piecing green, but she wears brown colored contacts to hide the fact.

Personality: Siri is rather shy when she first meets others. The only time she breaks out of her shell is at work, when she is forced out of her shell. When she finally warms up to people she can be rather sweet, and out going, despite her cold and reserved manner.
Weakness(ONE FOR EACH ABILITY/POWER):Iron can kill her and weaken her powers when in contact with her skin. Magic that can be drawn from the lunar cycle or water as well as any other creatures that draw energy from them can cause fatal wounds that can be fatal (ie werewolves, witches, etc.) Seeing Phoenix's were born from the sun that means her powers are weakened at night.

History: Siri was born in Colorado to a single mother who put her up for adoption. She jumped from family to family until she was about 11. At that point she had met a family that had wanted to adopt her. The same family she met her little 'brother'. While there, the mother's boyfriend at the time, molested her for nearly 7 months. When the mother didn't believe her she ran away. A few days later she was hit by a car that hadn't seen her on the side of the road. She died nearly instantly. She regenerated on the side of the road. She was found a few days unconscious, by a family on there way to the grand canyon. They dropped her off in the ER. Due to the trauma of her death her mind locked out her past. She went back into the system until she was about 13. She ran away again, and ended up with some older kids who thought it would be cool to have her be a distraction for different crimes internationally. So off they went, Siri had become an arsonist, but she only lite unoccupied building on fire. Siri's only motivation was safety and being the starry eyed 13 year old she wanted the attention of the leader, a 16 year old boy who went by the name Blaze. He manipulated Siri to believe he cared for her and even put up the front that they were a couple. By the time they made it to Athens, Siri was completely entranced by the boy, but she had grown tired of this life on the run. She wanted to leave. So she made plans to run. When it came time to tell Blaze she was leaving he said fine, but he wanted her to do one more thing. He wanted her to burn down a building full of innocents. It wasn't something Siri had done and it was something she didn't want to do. She refused, and that's when he threatened to kill her if she didn't agree. That's when the spell he had over her shattered, and when she refused again and called him a scum bag, he slit her throat. The group left her there to die. She was left for dead once again. When she regenerated she was left wandering Athens lost and confused. She didn't know who she was or where she was. She found a plane ticket to Starlight City, and used it despite not knowing where it was. Here she found a healer who wa s able to unlock her memories, and reveal the trauma of her life
Since then she has laid low and not attracted attention to herself out of fear of Blaze and his gang finding her.

Appearance: Areon is 5' 5" with tanned skin, brown eyes, and long brown hair pulled into a low ponytail to keep it out of her face. Her right arm is cybernetic from her elbow down, as is her left leg from the hip. She wears a grey tank top with a black unzipped leather jacket, black pants, and black combat boots with grey laces. She carries two pistols on her belt at all times, as well as a backup grenade.

Personality: Areon is sarcastic, tomboyish, hot-tempered, untrusting, and trigger happy, though she can be more mild and even borderline caring around those she is close to.
Weakness(ONE FOR EACH ABILITY/POWER): Normal human weaknesses, her cybernetics can be damaged or even ruined by water if submerged long enough, once she runs out of ammo she's pretty much useless except as a pilot, not very agile, she suffers phantom pains sometimes from losing limbs, her ship is hard to hide, her cybernetic limbs malfunction sometimes.

Abilities/ skills: Piloting aircraft, shooting guns, blowing things up with bombs and missiles and such, pick pocketing.
History: Areon was raised in Knowhere, a haven for thieves and criminals, so it's no wonder she became one herself. Her family was poor and she turned to thievery as a way to help out. Her parents never asked where she got the money, they were just glad to eat. She was eventually caught at age 10 and sent to a penitentiary, which she promptly to escape from. She never returned home, knowing her parents were probably better off without a thieving child.

Areon continued her path of thievery and arson until a malfunction with one of her explosives made her a double amputee at age 12. She sold off most of her stuff and her old ship to get more money, barely scraping up enough to get the cybernetics installed. After being released from the hospital (and escaping the authorities that had come to collect her), she stole her current ship- the Winged Wolf- from a docking port and got the hell out of there.

She found Starlight City a few days after she turned 15.
Family: Mother and father in Knowhere.
Extra: Her ship, the Winged Wolf, looks and acts like an F-22 fighter jet. Can shoot bullets or small bombs and missiles, built for speed, stealth, and agility.

Ok @LuckycoolHawk9 of there is any acceptance of extraterrestrial characters for a science fiction twist have the perfect two characters for some good villainy/heroics. The characters are assassin/bounty hunters for hire. And they would fit perfectly for a Science Fiction twist against Crypt because one of them is a higly advanced AI

Age: 483 human years (46 Xserasdan Cycles)
Appearance: (I do not have a photo as he is a personal creation that is quite difficult to draw) Kerinda'o stands at about 9'7" and is not your average Xserasdan. He has more muscle to him but also has an even more advanced set of c.b.netics, in his black cybernetic legs, (in which he lost the original ones), the alloy they are made out of is complete Xserasdan, Jurene-Silentick-Carbonite alloy, and do not make any sound. The bionetics that are running through him give off a blue glow, as bionetics are complete surgical implants placed inside and outside the body entirely. Kerinda'o's skin is also pitch black as well, notifying that he has a gravity control ability. His joints though do not have juts on it, notifying he is a soldier, or was. His leathery skin, is pretty tough though as well, even though he has plenty of scars as well. He also has an implanted button that is on his shoulder, that activates something in the bionetics, called Virality, which can activate a sort of adrenaline, and boosts physical skill, but it also risks the chance of increasing the chemical in the Xserasdan brain which deals with rage. Kerinda'o only uses it in certain situations.

Personality: Kerinda'o is a bit of a maniacal genius at some points, as he has some bad anger issues at points. There are also times where he can go completely insane if ever on a battle field, slaughtering anything close to him if he gets the chance. When in this insane rage of his, anyone who attacks him is basically an enemy. Though the only times this may ever happen is if he is close to death, or if Kerinda'o presses the implanted button on his shoulder. He is also very creative when it comes to a death as well, as he was actually a big time killer as a soldier. When it came to traveling through space he found all sorts of ways to kill aliens, and his military didn't really like that, so he was exiled. He also really likes knives, the old fashioned knives from home, and around space. Kerinda'o collects them and stores them in a compact case that can fold and unfold. He also loves his energy based melee weapons he carries on his arms with his biotech suit, as he is always making upgrades to them when he can. One thing he loves the most though is the thrill, the thrill of the kill.
Weakness: His rage can sometimes blind him as well. He has no code of honor in his way of battle, but will leave open spots at points, not notice them and can be attacked at that point. when trying to bend gravity to its will sometimes he has to focus and that can leave him open for shots to be taken. Kerinda'o isn't really quick, his legs have a density to them that limits his speed, and so does his height and weight, along with the biotech suit, that holds some of his weapons.
Gender: Male
Species : Xserasdan. Xserasdans are an advanced guardian race, they are not so advanced as to be a robotic species, but they do include cybernetics and something called bionetics, when combined together, the combination is called c.b.netics. The anatomy that the Xserasdans hold is alien, is humanoid, but not human whatsoever. The body parts of the Xserasdans are unique in a sense, as they have beefy arms with multiple bones for at least two arms on both sides, but to be able to access four arms on both sides, they have to be willing to break a type of skin called the preforal skin that holds the arms together. It may cause some pain, but after doing so, with the help of bionetics, a Xserasdan can bring that skin back to life on the arms. They also have the same going on with their jaw as well, as the lower jaw can become a set of mandibles the same way as the arms can become four. Their skin is either leathery or scaly, and sometimes they have jutted points on their joints, pointing out certain classifications of race. Their skin color also classifies a certain ability they might have as well, which is all in their code classification listings. Sometimes they may not have an ability and have ice white skin. The usual heights for a Xserasdan is where they will stand at about 9' to 10' tall, and they have four eyes.
Powers: He has the ability to bend gravity to his will.(kind of like the Force from Star Wars), a technique he had worked one for so long was know as the Four Point Will, where he is able to look in four directions, and concentrate on gravity, though by doing that it has a slight chance of causing damage to his brain and/or heart.
Abilities/ skills: Technology is his biggest strength, his c.b.netics are another thing to add onto his strengths, the Virality he can add to his bionetics increases his strength 5 fold than the norm of a Xserasdan (in which they can actually bend certain strong metals on their home world and a few other non-familiar metals), his military skill, his weapons are a few blasters and some energy based melee weapons, along with cloaking abilities on his suit.
History: As a Xserasdan, Kerinda'o originally believed in following The Code, something the Xserasdan god known as Xsera had put together for the Xserasdans to follow, or so the religion goes. One day in battle with a criminal gang on another world, as he was shipped out to be a an Assassin ranked guardian to take out criminals gangs in the first place, he nearly lost his life, but on that day he went into a rage and killed everyone in that battle, ally and enemy. He was placed in the military hospital, and given military leave as well, as he was placed back home in a hospital to be given surgery for new legs, and also his bionetics. When he received these implants, he sooner or later came back into the lives of his family again. But there was something wrong when it came down to it, criminal gangs in Xserasda themselves despise Assassin ranked military members and have trashed his home several times. So instead of ever going to the guardsmen, he took it on himself to take out criminals. So from his military cash he gained, he bought him self a ship before to be able to go out and find criminals, plus a surplus of military gear fit and customized for him.
Family: He thinks of his AI Rinai'o as a sister.
Extra: His main weapons are, his Energy Arm Gauntlets, or EAGs for short. Kerinda'o uses these mainly, as they use solar energy as the power source, and they use melee based weaponry, but also blasters in them as well. Kerinda'o wears a biotech suit almost always, which accompanies his c.b.netics. His other energy based weapons are two katana style swords that have photon producing tech to help cut through any kind of metal. These are side weapons to go with his bottom arms when he splits them apart. With his biotech suit comes a helmet that can slide over his head with a paper like glass to see through, like a hood, that way he can have oxygen if ever needed, and also a female AI named Rinai'o. The suit was also prepared with an internal thruster component for short bursts of movement in space. His legs come with connectors as well to keep the suit stable. The suit is armor like, but also sleek in a way. Imagine a futuristic soldier with somewhat thin armor for his suit. The gauntlets reach up to his shoulders and connect to the suit, with the availability to split as well, in case if he needs to split his arms apart, and the magnets in the suit will attach themselves properly.

Personality: Rinai'o is a human like A.I., with a take charge kind of attitude, and usually keeps Kerinda'o calm in most situations, since they have been companions for several years now. Rinai'o is the kind of person who will give orders and not take no for an answer, especially if it comes to battle situations. She has been able to help command some Xserasdan military before, which is why she was a companion with Kerinda'o in the first place. She is very understanding and will always listen to anything a person has to say. But...if you rub her the wrong way, she will figure out how to get payback some way.
Weakness(ONE FOR EACH ABILITY/POWER):curiosity, unknown knowledge, other human like behaviors, she tends to be naive at points, when it comes to battle she can get bored, or extremely excited...in which she won't really speak correctly

History: As an A.I. it's obvious where she was born, in a lab, especially ones with computers to construct her. She had been given features not really known to be be Xserasdan, but more human than anything. Designed to be a Battle Configuration A.I., she has updated over time, giving herself the technological edge to help and assist any Xserasdan soldier with battle armaments that they could not handle themselves on separate missions. But as time went by three and half cycles, things got boring, extremely boring. But one day, she met Kerinda'o when he had to go with a crew to take out a massive crime infestation. His swift movements with photon cutter swords caught her eyes while watching the battlefield. As the battle raged on she watched like a child in awe instead of giving any orders whatsoever. After seeing Kerinda'o take a "death blow" as many Xserasdans would call it, she was shocked. But somehow, the Xserasdan stood back up, roared and slaughtered everyone and everything around him that day. She never saw him again, not until the the beginning of her fourth cycle, when he had bought her from the Xserasdan military, he had the money to do so. Since then, she and him have been taking out criminals across the galaxy, even some corrupt officials and such every now and then. Then there was the occasional bar fights on planets and space stations, in which she watched every one of them in awe, or in a fit of disappointment.
