While Sherlock and Alan headed to the basement and the others chatted Nezumi leaned against one of the walls with his hands in his pockets calmly as he quietly studied the rest in a slightly bored fashion. It was a slightly nice change of pace; but that didn't mean his guard was down, oh no, he was still alert for any danger that could come sooner or later. He even gripped one of the scalpels he had in his pockets tightly in case he need to use any. Shion on the other hand gently placed the back of his hand on the unconscious scientists forehead to check for any signs of a possible fever.

Nathan and the scientist were still both out cold, though the scientist looked deathly pale. His breathing was irregular, indicating that he likely wasn't doing so good.

Ash and Leo would find a box of flares and a flare gun at the top of the stairwell leading into the basement. Candle sticks could be found around the room, and some of the furniture could be fashioned into weapons. The cabin did contain a kitchen with chef knives, though mostly everyone had picked up knives at some point earlier.

For those who decided to check it out, the basement was cold and uninviting. You were plunged into darkness at the landing, finding only a stone corridor awaiting you. A blood trail stained the floor and you could hear Huang's cries from further within the basement, leading you into a room filled with winter clothing and supplies. Jackets, coats, snow pants and shoes were stored here. Off to the side was another room, this one containing the water heater. Your flashlights would then come across the electric box in the corner of the room.

For those of you who decided to stay out of the basement, nothing out of the ordinary occurs. In fact, it's quite peaceful. As Jean checked his wound, he'd find that it looked about the same as it did before. However, the skin around the wound appeared to have darkened slightly. A fever hadn't set in yet at least, indicating there was still time to reverse the process.

Jean signed, wrapping up his foot with a fresh strip of cloth before standing up "We should probably get moving soon..." he suggested, glancing at his foot for a moment.

The house seemed relatively safe, with no immediate danger around, however, he wasn't liking the look of that scientist guy; he probably won't make it... Though, this place in general felt a little too safe for his comfort; like the calm right before the storm...

The sleeping scientist did indeed have a fever. You wouldn't be able to see any bites on him, though he was bruised heavily on his backside. Perhaps he was just sick? Whatever your thoughts, you'd find a distraction in the lights on the main floor of the house to suddenly flicker on and off for a few moments. What could have caused that?

Down in the basement, before the electric box can be reached, a sudden shadow would jump out from the collection of winter supplies. Flashlights turning on the shadow, it would scream as you saw it for what it was.

Not even five minutes within this cabin and Ash's prattling was already getting under the mercenary's skin. Not that he hadn't already gotten a bad impression of Ash after seeing him hit on Cap while fighting Tarman.

"If you can do little but complain then I suggest you leave my presence and aim it towards someone who has the patience to put up with them. Antics such as yours will not be tolerated and I doubt any of us need you to hold our hands. Your past experiences with cabins and the like holds no weight to me. I don't care about what happened to your sister and I highly doubt there are demons at work here. The undead rising and seeking to consume us, creatures from an age long since passed. Science has a place behind all of it I'm sure. But you expect me to believe that you and your comrades were set upon by these deadites? Spare me the nonsense and if you insist on stopping anyone from going to the basement? You'll be the one taking a trip down there in their stead."

He growled as he sought to set Nathan and the other man down on a couch. He'd heard the boy mutter something but it was far too quiet for him to decipher what it was. The yelling from the basement didn't calm Locus's nerves any but he still doubted that Ash's ranting carried any kind of weight. There were no such things as demons.

"I'd hope so, if only for your sake." He stated cryptically although his intentions were very clear. If this woman proved herself to be an obstacle or hinderance to the group in any fashion then she'd be taken care of in an efficient and quick manner.

As she watched him put on her innocent facade for the boastful idiot, he frowned behind his helmet. For the woman's not-so-hidden lust for causing pain, she was clearly smarter than she let on. Being able to fool Ash into believing she was just a nurse who was caught up in this mess When in reality there was far more to her than met the eye.

He could relate if only because he had his own share of manipulating people to an end. This woman just seemed to be more adapt at keeping it wrapped up. For the moment in any case.

Glancing over at Jean as he pulled back the bandaging around his bite mark, the hallucination of Felix popped up yet again to harass his partner. If not in body but in spirit and gleefully at that.

"You know he's gonna turn right? What if it's into one of those smart fuckers you nearly got your head smashed in by? You want one of those hanging around you and the two losers you dragged in on your shoulders? If I was here I'd put a cap in him right now. Say it was for the good of the party!"

"He helped save my life. Along with the costumed woman. To simply shoot him in cold blood would be tossing aside what he had done. He could have very well gotten bitten once more by that creature."

"Yeah, yeah, he saved your ass. So what? Doyle's troops helped you out too and what happened there? You turned on them without a second thought just like I did with Kimball and her band of rag-tag wimps. As for him getting bite again? Even more reason to deposit a little lead in his skull! Or just break his neck!"

"..I won't do it."

"Fine, but I'll be here to tell you I told ya so as you're busy bleeding once he's torn your throat out."

"Shut up, Felix."

The hallucination faded away and Locus was once more left to his own devices. Returning his gaze to Jean however, the merc made his way over to him. The bite mark seemed like it was continuing to grow worse but he hadn't shown any signs of turning into one of those things. Whatever the symptoms may have been.

"We'll find a cure to your infection but if we don't? I'll help you just as you helped me back in the forest." The mercenary stated simply with his implication clear. If Jean really did need to be taken out, then Locus offered to do the deed for him. Suicide was something to be looked down upon, a coward's way out. But choosing the release of death over becoming one of the walking dead? It seemed far more preferable.

"Alright, Mr.Grumpy Pants! Demons are "unrealistic" but the "undead" aren't? Look around you, pal, we were just attacked by pterodactyls and zombies and crap;'what's your scientific explanation for that?" What was this guys problem? Did he not appreciate his oh so epic speeches? "But fine, if you want to carry 15 dead bodies, or worse, "undead"" he gestured quotation marks " bodies, be my guest and walts down the staircase, but the bloods just going to be on your hands, buddy"

'Idiots!" Ash cried down the staircase "Huang is gone; whatever you find down there is not my responsibility..."he paused....curly fries and tin mand are probably going to find some way to Blame him for this..."or my fault..." He sighed. They always relied on the King to get them out of trouble. "But if you insist on going down there, take this " he threw a flare or two down the trap, keeping the gun for himself. "Its essentially an explosive; use it wisely, because unless you Apologise, I won't be sharing anymore with you!"
"Oh I'd never disrupt the...Morale of the group...~"

The mutter was more to herself, her eyes skirting up and down the man's armor. With this passing glance, she could confirm there were no noticeable and/or exploitable gaps. Which was a pity, Catherine thought, proceeding to pay this horribly judgmental man no heed as she entered the cabin. Someone with such a strong will should have similarly strong blood to match. Besides, she would need a healthy sample if she was ever to study the blood she drained from the madman, and while Catherine was rather healthy, she was not about to prick her own finger.

The inside of the cabin was warm. Inviting. A welcome break from the perils of dinosaurs and their eggs. She took the moment to preen herself a little: Smoothing and fluffing her pink hair, readjusting both her little nurse hat and the arm band on her dress, dusting off a bit of sand, making sure all her pocketed needles were in order and that the one blood-filled one hadn't begun to leak or anything. It had not. Splendid. Now she certainly looked better, and the little lapse into temptation had made her feel better, so everything was going along...

Her eyes landed on someone.

Cheesy speech and all. Truly, people never changed.

"My darling!~" Catherine exclaimed, smiling and purposefully making her cheeks a little red just so she could up the illusion. "Where have you been? I've just been so lonely without you, so many terrible people, raving madmen and those who think I'm not as much of a reputable nurse as you think I am! They just don't know me like you do..." She quickly scurried up to his side, now ever so glad she'd taken the moment to pretty herself up.

He probably had some nice healthy blood too.

Pity her needles were so small.

"Oh, hi gorgeous, how ya doing? I'm sorry I couldn't protect you before, I was a little, tied up in my" he grinned "royal duties; I even rode on the bask of a pterosaur for a few seconds! Pity you missed it, it was an amazing thing to see." His grin grew. He faked a shiver "burrrr...nurse, it's cold in here, I might get a bit sick from the sub-zero-re-ness.. perhaps we'll have to find some other way to keep warm..."

Daniel blinked as he snapped away from his thoughts. "Crap I zonked out..." he thought, as he looked around. He noticed others walking around, doing various task. "Crap.... Where to go... I could look for some form of weapons, especially since I can't use the ones I have now...." he mumbled looking at his injured hands.

"Jesus... At least it's just br-" Jean was interrupted as he reached over to turn the scientist over, to inspect the bruises by the lights flickering...
latest

Even with his injured foot, he knew he'd better check this out; the most probable cause was something tampering the source of, well, whatever was powering these... Fireless torches. The only place he could immediately think of was... The basement! Which he headed down to immediately, wielding both of his kitchen knives as he suddenly froze, seeing the creature standing before them, closing his eyes for a moment and opening them, he carefully stared the creature down, waiting for it to make it's first move.

The creature seemed to be sizing the basement group up, its white milky eyes looking to feed greedily upon your corpses. It hissed as if to threaten you, but otherwise didn't move for the moment. Once Jean has frozen in place in the basement, the creature seemed confused about where you all were. Perhaps it attacked based on movement? However, those upstairs were still moving about, and so the creature felt naturally compelled to bound up the stairs toward them.

It jumped out from the basement and flew through the air. It was aimed at Shion, but narrowly missed and instead landed on the unconscious scientist. The creature screamed and hissed as it grappled with the man's limp body, before plunging one of its hands straight through his stomach. The creature lifted him high into the air, the light of the fireplace dancing in its blank eyes.

Shion's eyes widened and he barely had time to properly react before the creature attacked the unconscious scientist, causing Shion to make a small strangled sound through all of the noise surrounding him as he backed up in his sitting position slowly to try and create distance without alerting it. Slowly, Nezumi pulled his hand out of his pocket and pushed himself off of the wall, scalpel in hand. He was running a bit low on those unfortunately. So, he threw the scalpel the creature's way after making sure to try and get it's attention with a slightly heavy step forward.

Leo picked up the flares and flare gun awkwardly, unsure of what to really do with it.
'Question, could this thing hurt those zombies in the facility?'
But after watching the creature bound up the stairs, that didn't matter. He loaded the Flare Gun.
'Get back! Everyone get out of the way!'
He got as close to the creature as he could, and aimed the Flare Gun up towards it. To be honest, he didn't know how the thing worked, but maybe someone else did. He fired it again, just to make sure that the creature was dead.
'Ash, do something! How does this work?

The scientist's head fell to the floor with a dull thud, the creature having cut it off with its other hand. It tossed the headless corpse away and turned sharply toward Nezumi as his foot stepped on the cabin floor. The creature hissed and tossed its arm out to knock away the incoming scalpel. Ignoring the closer Shion, the creature scurried up close to Nezumi, stopping before him to scream, the creature's spit flicking at his face.

It lifted its arms as if to pounce, but it was stopped when a flare smashed into the creature's side, causing it to scream. The force of the strike pushed the creature so that it slammed into the wall of the living room, decorations flying off shelves and crashing to the floor. As the second flare went flying, the creature hissed and hopped to the side at an incredible speed. The flare bounced off the wall to fly across the room, eventually dying out on the floor. The creature seemed to glare down at Leo as it stood on the coffee table.

Then, the creature paused. Its stare moved slowly upward toward the balcony above. Those of you who followed its gaze would see nothing for the moment. Was someone up there? Time seemed to stand still as the creature was fixated on whatever was lurking upstairs. Not a moment was available to make a move before the creature made a grand leap above. It slammed against the ornamental steel ball hanging from the cieling, jumping off that to reach the second floor above your heads. The ball slipped from the wire holding it and smashed into the coffee table below.

You couldn't see the creature as it ran out of sight, but a large thump was heard from above. The lights seemed to flicker once again as you heard the faint sound of what could have been an electric shock. You could then hear glass shattering, the lights flickering once more as a brilliant display of red light emitted from the floor above. The creature then flew over the balcony railing and slammed into the floor below. Smoke wafted from the creature's charred corpse, the smell of burned meat and hair filling your nostrils. The noise would be enough to draw those still lingering in the basement back upstairs.

Footsteps echoed from above, indicating that someone was walking over to the balcony. You could just see the shadow of a figure before it disappeared in a flash of red light. The lights of the cabin flashed on, burning brighter than ever before. The air seemed to shiver with a sudden feeling of power. A blur passed your eyes, shadows dancing on the edge of your vision. The cabin felt heavy, as if large amounts of static was in the air. Your hair felt on edge, a wind picking up in the middle of the cabin.

-- the sounds of an electric current --

-- wind whispering in the air --

-- a clap of thunder --

NaypA3b.png

Appearing before your eyes was a 23 year old male, a great amount of bright red electricity emanating from his body as he crashed down into the cabin floor. Tendrils of electricity explode out from him going every which way, some of the currents jumping up off the ground to snake toward the lights around the room and overload them into exploding. Rising from his crouched position, he was positively glowing, his features becoming clear-- shaved head, light stubble, tattoos running up and down his arms. Once the dust and commotion had settled, you could see that a young girl lay before the man, unconscious.

DCsIeDj.png

"Whoa. Now this is interesting." Crossing his arms, the man moved his head to scan the room. His eyes fell on everyone in turn, his expression turning to a smirk as he saw the expression on everyone's face. "Man, you guys look like you've been dragged through shit. First time here? I knew something was up. I mean, besides these asshole scientists harassing me. Is that why you're here? Hm, no... probably not." Glancing down at the girl on the floor, the man shrugged his shoulders. "Name's Cole MacGrath, not that any of you probably care. Probably won't live long enough for it to matter. Funny thing, you guys got here just in time to witness some unfinished business. It was gonna be quick-- It's not like I want to be wasting my time here. But, now that I have an audience, I could probably make it interesting."

The man named Cole then slowly lifted his arms, as if showing off some kind of magic trick. Electricity began to course through his arms, lighting up the darkened room. "But how do I make it interesting? I think I wanna see what you guys can do, but I'm sure you aren't much in the mood, right? Do you need a little... jolt?" Letting out an amused grunt, Cole tilted his head toward the couch. He lifted his left arm and formed a gun with his hand, his index finger pointed at Nathan's unconscious form. The electricity coursing around his arm seemed to concentrate at his finger, seemingly ready to strike like a bullet. "This guy's out cold anyway. Won't feel a thing."

Carl had managed to find his way into the cabin during the confrontation. He narrowed his stormy blue eyes upon viewing the new threat who had appeared before them. What had Nathan ever done to this man? Nothing, yet he was still Cole's intended target. The young survivor had seen situations like this far too often. In a reality where there were already enough threats against him, it angered the lad when human beings themselves were a threat. It wasn't right. The anger in the teen's heart suddenly boiled over and triggered a reflex inside him. He drew his handgun and pointed it at Cole, his basic instincts taking over his body. These instincts drove him to protect the most important recourse that existed: human lives.

"I've struggled, but I'm still strong enough to help someone."

tumblr_inline_ndis7zQIuV1qgp297.gif

Hoping Cole was distracted enough with his eyes on Nathan, the young man squeezed the trigger and aimed for Cole's heart with a steady and well-practiced aim.

But Cole had disappeared. He reappeared before Carl, a grin plastered on his face, the bullet Carl had shot held between his fingertips. "You're boring." Cole balled his hand into a fist, crushing the bullet. Electricity flared around his fist and streaked through the air as Cole plunged into into Carl's stomach. As if mimicking the creature from before, Cole lifted Carl into the air, blood pouring down his arms. Carl flailed momentarily, still alive despite this. "Nah, I'll just make it quick." Electricity coursed through Carl's body, causing his body to spasm. As Carl's eyes rolled to the back of his head, Cole dropped the teenager's limp body to the ground.

Opening his palm, Cole let the remains of the bullet fall to the ground. He stared at his bloody hand for a moment before looking toward the others. "Do you all suitably hate me now? Any questions?"

Hoping Cole was distracted enough with his eyes on Nathan, the young man squeezed the trigger and aimed for Cole's heart with a steady and well-practiced aim.

But Cole had disappeared. He appeared before Carl, a grin plastered on his face, the bullet Carl had shot held between his fingerprints.

Jean was about to attack the creature but then... The scene in front of him caused him to freeze in place again, his expression changing to one of shock, awe, and fear... "What the h-hell just happened?" He said, his voice seeming to falter a little as he spoke.

Ignoring the closer Shion, the creature scurried up close to Nezumi, stopping before him to scream in his face, the creature's spit flicking at his face.

Cleo was losing his mind, this whole place has been a shit storm since he arrived. This place was literately hell, and he had no idea what to do. For the first time in his life, he did not know rather to fight, or hide.

Ash's words hadn't even registered with the mercenary. Not when the creature finally showed itself ans skewered that scientist. But that idiot couldn't have been right. There was no way that a demon was baring down on them. It had to be another creature like those undead they had encountered so many times before finding this cabin. Unless the truth was just that. Hell had been opened up and this creature crawled through the opening.

As the newcomer made his rather bombastic entrance, Locus was on edge the entire time. First the creature and now this man. Locus had no real reason to trust him even if he did seem to have a grudge against some of the same people who may have been responsible for putting them all here. Perhaps he had information that they did not? Whether or not he'd give it up willingly was an unknown but somehow Locus doubted he'd just tell them everything out of the kindness of his heart.

"Everyone, stay together." He warned. If they were to flee in terror, this man could pick them off at his leisure. At least together they had the numbers advantage against this man's strange ability to seemingly control electricity?

As he reached for Nathan, Locus's eyes widened behind the helmet. He was going after the weakest link in the group. As a mercenary he supposed he could have given credit where it was due. Take out your enemy before they even knew you were there. But even then that didn't mean he'd kill them in their sleep. Just cloak himself up and snipe them before they knew what hit em. This seemed a tad more depraved.

Before Locus could speak out against it, he watched the proceedings with Carl almost as if they were in slow motion. It finally concluded with Carl's body being tossed to the ground as if it meant nothing. It was strange to the mercenary. He usually reserved his anger for what he felt warranted it like being called insane when he clearly wasn't and being told that he wasn't a soldier. But yet anger was begining to swell up inside him.

"You're not really pissed over the fact that this guy KFC'ed a kid, are ya? With as many people as you've killed I figured you'd be used to that kind of stuff by now. Let alone get bothered by it anymore!"

"He wasn't a soldier. He was a child."

"Ah, bit of a technicality there. C'mon Locus, you and me served together. You should know that if you pick up a weapon and fire it? That makes you about as likely as getting shot as any one else. The kid held up a weapon with the intention to use it and he got fried. The logic seems pretty cut and dry to me."

"No. There's more to it than just holding a weapon. That boy wasn't a true combatant and I doubt he's seen what you and me have seen. To kill him was simply unnecessary."

"...You serious right now? You'd kill an entire planet's race of colonists, medics, soldiers, leaders and yet seeing a kid bite the dust gets you angry? The fuck kind of logic is that?!"

"That's a civil war and I have my orders. My orders were not to kill children that didn't pose a threat to me."

"...What are you gonna do then?"

"What I have to."

"Uh-uh. Welp, good luck with that!"

Watching as Cole overlooked Carl's corpse, Locus activated his armor's cloaking function and he'd soon vanish. Moving as quickly as he could, he tried to get behind Cole and reached out to try and snap his neck. It was quick, efficient, and while it wasn't as cruel a fate as this stranger deserved it would sate the feeling that Locus was feeling. Or it could have gotten him killed. Both were likely possibilities. But he had to at least try.

"I don't hate. I kill."

Shion was a bit in shock. Even though death was no stranger to his red eyes he wasn't used to this gore. He stared at the creatures charred body and felt a bit of possible jealousy that he couldn't kill it for even trying to attack Nezumi. But that quickly faded when the newcomer came in a rather cocky display of his powers. Shion was now staring at the man as he stumbled to his feet. He glanced to Nezumi, who in turn was glaring at the man with sharp, cold grey eyes.

'He's a threat. He needs to be exterminated as soon as possible.' Were both male's initial thoughts. But how? He'd be able to easily kill them. And what was the girl there for? Shion then heard Locus's warning and then suddenly disappearing with the push of a button. He was too busy trying to contain the emotional storm inside of himself to really be in awe at the moment. That familiar twinge of fear he felt for the thing inside of him was noticeable.

Shion noticed that in all the commotion when the creature appeared, he had dropped his nail gun. Slowly, he picked it up and held it in his hand as if he was used to it, like it was a part of himself almost. He stared at Cole, studying him with dark red eyes that held no real light to them.

He knew he told Nezumi, probably promised, that he wouldn't change no matter what happened. But sometimes it was hard. Especially with a threat around.

"Any questions, huh? Well, I've got one for you, sunshine. How would you like us to splatter your brains across the cabin walls?" This guy was clearly powerful, but that didn't faze Ash; he could bluff his way out of anything "Youve put on a show, kiddo, but you're nothing compared to us. I'm the Hero who Fell from the Sky, and believe me, you don't get titles like that for being a pansy. Your light show meant nothing, screw head; you're out numbered!" The electricity coursing around his arm seemed to concentrate at his finger, seemingly ready to strike like a bullet.

Swoon!

Compared to Cole, Ash looked positively benign!

Catherine was positively floored. A vibrant redness went into her cheeks, a big smile crossing her face. Look at him! Storming in and destroying that nasty beast like it was nothing! She could almost feel her heart fluttering! All big and strong, like some sort of hero...Suddenly Ash seemed to lose all luster, even as a joke. He was nothing better then a blood donor. This man was something worth getting excited over! Catherine took another moment to primp her hair...

...

...Oh. Oh, dear. Catherine may be a sadistic nurse that got her kicks from drawing blood, but that...That was a teenager. Everyone, even nurse former-lizards from purgatory, had certain standards. And killing a child was a bit outside her standards--Goodness, even if she wanted to, Gregory would have her head if she even placed the tip of her needle on his grandson! Cactus Girl may be a mere teenage girl, but she was also the best nurse's assistant in the Bloody Karte she could ask for! Mmm, this did upset her...

But he looked sooooooo beautiful...

Lust really was a deadly sin.

"I really hope you focus on destroying those nasty beasts...And not the rest of us." Though she had to make an attempt to not look utterly head-over-heels.

I kill."
...

Although, seeing the armored figure suddenly vanish did make Catherine a little more interested in Locus' abilities. And definately more willing to take his previous threat against her seriously.

Woah. That was definitely weird. "Alan did you see that?"

"Yeah."

"Right."

As Sherlock crept along the wall rather in a creepers out way, he looked inside to check out Huang, checking if he was alive. "Are you alright?" He asked somewhat caring and protective, which really wasn't like him.

Alan would soon begin to try the breakers, hoping the light would at least turn on (Especially with how the man from upstairs sent a spark in the house.). But upon hearing the thunderous roar inside the house, he had heard and felt a shaking power. "Sherlock! Tend to the guy.. I might have to do something." He pointed the flash light upstairs, following the careful steps as he pointed the revolver up. He remembered the flares being thrown down as he quickly went back to take them. "Seems Zane might be with me after all..." As he placed them in his coat, he'd begun walking back up the stairs to investigate, only to see the group all together, looking at a man. Approaching slowly, he'd begun to speak as if announcing something "Uh guys.. You all alri-..."

Alan-Wake.jpg

He saw the body of Carl at the feet of the man, saying the words "Oh, no." Reminded him of losing his wife to the Darkness.. Of losing Alice. It was then where Alan moved through everybody, raising his flash light and revolver as if he was going to fight once again, the Taken, his face serious, somewhat angered underneath as he death gripped the holy of the revolver.

"You're dead, you son of a bitch."

Ignoring the closer Shion, the creature scurried up close to Nezumi, stopping before him to scream, the creature's spit flicking at his face.

wQ56Gvv.png

Appearing before your eyes was a 23 year old male, a great amount of bright red electricity emanating from his body as he crashed down into the cabin floor. Tendrils of electricity explode out from him going every which way, some of the currents jumping up off the ground to snake toward the lights around the room and overload them into exploding. Rising from his crouched position, he was positively glowing, his features becoming clear-- shaved head, light stubble, tattoos running up and down his arms. Once the dust and commotion had settled, you could see that a young girl lay before the man, unconscious.

Cap had been keeping her eyes locked on the man the moment he arrived. She cursed under her breath for failing to save Carl and as a response would throw her energy shield towards Cole in hope of catching him off guard, but the way he acted told Cap that they were probably out of their league right now.

Rhonda meanwhile would be standing back gasping in horror as Cole killed Carl. "You son of a bitch, he was just a kid." Rhonda would have been really glad to let her flamethrower do the talking but she didn't want to start a fire in such a tight space like this, nor hit anyone from the group. Instead she'd stand back and wait to see what happened next.

"Do you all suitably hate me now? Any questions?"

"...EVERYONE SHUSH!"

She suddenly shouted, trying to raise her voice over the sounds of everyone else.

"NOBODY DO ANYTHING RASH! WE CAN SETTLE THIS CALMLY!"

She sidled around, sliding on real close up to Cole the electrical man, for all intents and purposes almost popping randomly out of thin air next to him as she rose up.

tumblr_n9gf3rQT1f1scpo8fo8_250.gif

"Yes sir I do have a question I saw that you were shooting electricity at that poor kid and that's not good, anyone sick enough to do such an act to a child would certainly benefit from a psychological checkup and perhaps even some restraints and anesthetic gas but that's neither here nor there though I can provide both of these things should the need arise which it might certainly and also I was going to ask you about the electricity itself, mainly being I'm assuming it's bio-electricity boosted beyond the norm aka similar to the static electricity process achieved when you rub two objects together to build a sufficient electrical charge but this time it's magnified to ridiculously high outputs I mean seriously the range is wide but consistent ranging up from around a billion joules to anywhere up to 10 billion joules in a typical lightning bolt that pierces that sky, which is enough energy to toast a 100,000 slices of bread if people gathered them all up and were lucky enough to have the weather acquiesce to the request for a lightning bolt to strike down at that precise spot and if we could harness that energy on a more mass scale, there's no telling what we could do oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh you could be the ultimate key to solving the energy troubles on my home planet and so you simply must tell me how you did it!"

She peeked into his face at a not so comfortable distance, finally taking some breaths after that.

Cap's shield would seem to stop mid-air, held by an electromagnetic force. Cole barely seemed to acknowledge the energy shield as it shivered and harmlessly fell to the ground.

"What do you think just happened?"

Cole disappeared and reappeared once again, now standing inches away from Jean's face. "Wipe that dumb look off your face. And you--" Reaching casually behind him, Cole shot off a bolt of electricity that slammed into Locus and short-circuited his cloaking device. Cole was behind Locus in a flash, close enough to speak quietly. "That's just a cheap toy. Come on, I want to see more than that." Grabbing the sides of Locus' armor, Cole tossed the man with ease up into the balcony above so that he landed on the second floor.

Turning now on Ash, Cole let out a laugh. "Man, are you a comedian or something? Hey, hero from the sky, I've been outnumbered my entire life. Splatter my brains against the wall if you can, but I seriously doubt it. I mean, what, do you think I get my kicks out of killing kids? If that was the case, I would just--" Electricity exploded out from Cole as he disappeared from view. You'd find him standing next to Shion, holding the boy by the arm. "It'd be so fucking easy, dude. Just a... pop! But hey, what does it really matter?" Moving at a speed beyond normal human comprehension, Cole snatched the nail gun out of Shion's hand before moving across the room to snatch the revolver from Alan's hand. In under a second he was standing in the middle of the room, holding both weapons in front of his face and shaking his head at them. "Gee, a nail gun? Even that kid had an actual gun. What are you gonna do with this?" He casually tossed the items back to their respective owners. "How does it feel to know you are so utterly beneath someone? Like an insect. I really do want to know-- it's not something I'll ever experience."

Turning then to Rhonda, Cole shrugged his shoulders. "He was just a kid, but kids die all the time. Every day, every hour, every minute. It's chaos out there, and what better proof is there than... well, this? Now, I don't know why you're here, but it's probably some bullshit. Just a random collection of people randomly thrown together. It happens more than you think-- enough to make one realize that no one is really that special. There is no point in getting caught up on the death of one single person." Cole then pointed to Rhonda's flamethrower, looking rather amused. "By the way, sick arm there. I like it."

Cole didn't seem to care as Emily moved up next to him. Rubbing at his neck with his bloody hand, Cole tried not to laugh at this chick while she droned on and on. "Yeah, I can do a lot more than that, if you haven't noticed. You know, I could really do some good in the world..." Cole tapped at his chin for a moment. "... If I gave a shit. Sorry, I'm not into solving people's problems anymore. You give people just what they wanted, but then they ask for more. You... You seem like just the type to do that. Let's be real, this won't be a happy ending for you."

Cole disappeared once again, reappearing on the steel ball that had fallen to the ground. He stood on it at an angle, suspended by an electromagnetic current. "I thought, maybe I was just mistaken. But no, you guys are seriously lame." Cole pointed toward The Doctor and Travis. "You two are probably the only interesting people here, but something seems off... Man, did your powers get wrecked, kid? It's pathetic. I'm just wasting my time here. aren't I? I should have just done what I was thinking of doing."

Cole reached into one of his pants pockets and pulled out a small glass container. Inside was a syringe. "Blah, blah, blah, this contains a rare virus that a lot of people wanted. They pissed me off so I did a little redecorating to their facility. I was wondering what would be the best way to get rid of this thing, but then it hit me. I was supposed to get rid of this girl as a favor to someone, but shit happens and I didn't bother." Cole looked down on the unconscious girl, brow furrowing. "Anyway, let's kill two birds with one stone and all that." Cole then appeared on the ground, holding the girl with one hand. The other lingered in the air, syringe in hand. "Now, let's see what this will do."
