Jean had a look of surprise on his face as he ended up crashing into the next, groaning a little as he rubbed his forehead, getting up... Hearing Nezumi's comment, he rubbed his forehead a little "At least it wasn't a sack of potatoes..." he muttered, his mind still a little frazzled from the fall before he shook his head a few times. "We'd better get everyone we can out of here..." He said, regaining his composure as he glanced towards the intact egg "Before THAT hatches..." he added, shuddering a little.

Nathan looked okay, though seemed to be some bruising on his arms. A bump could be felt on his head indicating that he'd taken a nasty fall into the nest. The egg beside him wasn't moving. It would feel cold to the touch and didn't seem ready to hatch any time soon, if it even would. It wasn't very big, only about half the size of an average human.

The man ceased his babbling and looked up at Catherine with wide eyes obscured slightly by his long blond hair. His mouth hung open dumbly, as if something he wanted to say was just on the tip of his tongue. "Shellshocked," he eventually muttered, his voice just above a whisper. He started to repeat it, like the word was now stuck in his head. "Shellshocked. Shellshocked. Shellshocked!" He started repeating it louder now, gaining excitement with every repeat. Soon, he let go of Emily and eyed Catherine's needles greedily. "Shellshocked!" he cried, as he made an attempt to grab one from her so that he could then puncture his own body with it.

As Rhonda moved against the current, it was almost as if something was disturbing the water. Ripples appeared, but nothing seemed to follow them. For now. Continuing toward the light, Rhonda would eventually find the source to be a strange luminescent substance growing on the walls of the sewer drain.

The female figure giggled again, before opening her mouth wide and beginning to wail. Her screaming was high-pitched and felt as if it banged painfully against your ears. You'd go deaf if you listened to her for long.

Beyond her, you could see a light further on. This tunnel really did seem to lead somewhere.

"It doesn't look ready to hatch anytime soon..." Shion said to Jean when he brought up the egg as the red eyed male careful examined it, gently placing a hand on it for a few seconds before pulling it away.

"It's cold." He sighed. He was going to try and gently shake Nathan awake when the possibly crazy man tried to grab one of the needles from Catherine and puncture himself. Why couldn't they meet an almost sane person along the way? Maybe not as sane sounding as that Alvin guy; but maybe a bit closer to that? Though there was a good chance that was slim. Nezumi cracked his knuckles, about tired of the babbling man and was ready to knock him out quickly. Or, if it had to come to it, kill the man.

Catherine had never felt more out of place and superfluous.

Hiking up the hill. Watching the creatures be slain. Seeing the eggs. The man. The man pulling the other lady away from the eggs. This was all...Not things she, as a mere nurse, was trained to deal with. Besides, aside from bloodlust, she wasn't the most ambitious.

She wanted to go back to Gregory House.

"...I'd suppose you're just a little bit shellshocked, my friend. I'd think it's highly unlikely we're all going to die." And then, in more of a mutter, "Although I believe it's happened once before to me..." Every guest did begin as a mortal, after all. That was mere common knowledge. Slowly the nurse strolled beside the babbling man, putting her heels together as she stopped. Catherine reached into her pockets, pulling out needles one by one, systematically examining the insides. Empty, empty...Empty...

"You've probably just been here too long."

..How long was he out for?

Travis woke up, seemingly knocked out by.. something. He remembered being in a room with that nurse, and then something invited itself in, much to his surprise.. He didn't even see it coming until it was too late; was it that fast? Of course, he's only seen glimpses of monsters until that one particular moment, which.. was still technically a glimpse, considering how quickly it jumped him and his team before he could get a one-minute look in. He raised himself up, grunting as he held his head again, which began feeling like it was in a vice once more. He had to find someone to join up with before he's left behind-- a previous teammate or two, preferably-- before he's left behind.

He looked around immediately. A desert..? Just how in the world did he end up here.. as opposed to the interior he was stuck in before? Questions to keep in his head and theorize about later. "Hello..?" He asked out loud, just to see if there were anyone around. He touched around the ground a bit to check for something.. Oh, no. He lost his weapon! Not good! Back to square one once again.. And back to having only a last resort to defend himself..

Getting up on his feet, he took a closer look at his surroundings.. and from the looks of things, it seems there's nowhere to go but up. Uphill, that is. He sighed, gaining his bearings after standing up so fast for just a little while longer, and took a run up the hill he was in front of. "Anyone?! Hello?!" He called, finding it more difficult to head up the higher he went up the hill. He couldn't let that stop him, though-- he absolutely needed to meet up with someone. At this point, he almost didn't care who.

Rhonda would try and look around for something that could be turned into a makeshift torch, if she didn't find anything she'd dare to step into the darkness.

@Atomyk

Ugh that scream was a bit too much...using her shield Cap would have it ricochet on the cave walls in such a way that it would it the monster right in the back of its neck before she'd move in to silence it permanently.

Leaping to her feet, she lunged forward to grab his hand for the intercept even as her other hand went for a punch to his face. "Go to sleep go to sleep go to sleep go to sleep go to sleep go to sleep go to sleep." She repeated in her own little echo.

Shion ignored the crazy shenanigans around him to peek over the edge of the nest. He had to crane his neck slightly to get a better look at Travis as he struggled to make his way up the hill.

"Careful there coming up." Was the white haired teens only response as he watched the boy as if to see if the boy needed any help.

Since Emily seemed to have things under control, Nezumi turned back to Jean.

"Yeah, from what Shion said earlier that egg doesn't seem ready to hatch anytime soon." The slate haired male shrugged.

Jean groaned, rubbing his forehead "Well... I guess we shouldn't be in a hurry then..." he muttered, looking towards the man who was repeating the word "shellshocked" over and over again... "The hell has gotten into him?" He murmured, looking at the egg rather cautiously; he still wasn't very quick to think that it was safe around them just yet...

The trap door revealed a ladder leading down into a pitch black corridor. Thanks to Alan and Sherlock, you'd be able to see whee you were going, though the dank smell of rot and mold hitting your nostrils would give you a good idea. Once you'd climbed down the ladder, you'd find a tight corridor made of stone. At most, you'd only be able to walk down it side-by-side in pairs. Though the smell is potentially deadly, nothing that would pose a threat pops out at you as you make your way through. Rats squeak out of our way as you eventually come to a more open area.

u0eFesn.jpg

What appears to be a sewer flows in front of you. The dirty water almost glows green. Hugging the wall, you'd find another small corridor, this one only big enough to fit a single person in width. You could head down this way, or head up the water's stream and toward what appears to be a light in the distance.

The creature isn't the smartest, though it's stronger than it looks. Slamming away its blade doesn't stun it for very long as it hurriedly moves to swing at Daniel, but a subsequent tackle from Cap would take it down. It would take a few blows, but its head would eventually be knocked right off.

In the now open tunnel, you can hear a giggling in the distance.

As Jean reached the nest, he would find exactly what Emily had described: three eggs and two human bodies. You would recognize one as the unconscious body of Nathan, while the others was dressed in a lab coat and covered in blood. Presumably a researcher of the facility, the man wouldn't respond to Jean, instead only continuing to mumble to himself quietly. Head buried in his knees, the man was in the fetal position and didn't look like he was in any position to move.

Up above, the pteranodon carrying Emily would suddenly spin around in an attempt to shake his passenger. It decided to hang completely upside-down as another pteranodon moved to collide into it. The impact would cause Emily to fall off, her trajectory putting her into the direction of the nest.

With that done, the various prehistoric creatures flying around the nest would attack in an attempt to defend their eggs and what was to be their meal. Their sharp claws would aim to cut those of you standing around the nest as they flew by.

Both Alan and Sherlock would follow the light, using their own flashlights to guide their ways.

"Go to sleep go to sleep go to sleep go to sleep go to sleep go to sleep go to sleep." She repeated in her own little echo.
Empty, empty--Hm?

Catherine's eyes went down to look at the man, a smile playing at her lips. He wanted a needle? Well, she was showing a remarkable amount of restraint lately...

Maybe just once...

Emily seemed to be eager to restrain the man, even knock his lights out, but Catherine was not feeling quite as forward. "Of course, maybe you have some sort of horrible infection..." A half-purr slipped out of her lips as her fingers found the syringe's plunger. "I think it's best we check. Let me take a sample of your blood."

Without asking any further consent, the nurse reached down, sharply jamming the tip of the needle into the man's arm, regardless of Emily's punch. Her fingers began pulling the plunger up, and as the...Ahem...Blood test took place, Catherine made...Noises. Little purrs. Maybe even a moan. This needle was so, so, so much smaller then the gorgeous specimens she was used to working with, but this one was more then serviceable to get that little bit of euphoria back that she missed out upon when Angel Dog's treatment was interrupted.

"Oh, yes, this feels soooo goood~"

The giggling caught Cap's attention...was there someone here that wasn't an insane monster? Motion towards Daniel to be quiet Cap would towards the sound of the giggling with as much stealth she could muster.

@Ryu Keiko
Daniel heard the giggling and tilted his head. He was about to speak, saying the typical 'What the hell was that?!', but was cut dry whenever he saw Cap motion for him to quietly follow along to investigate. He made sure to move cautiously, not wanting to step on anything that could make sudden noise.

There was nothing here that seemed like it would ignite. The substance growing on the sides of the wall didn't seem to react well to fire, in any case. Boldly stepping into the darkness, the tunnel would be silent. Aside from the water running against your legs, not a noise was made... at least until you saw a light at the end of the tunnel.

Alan and Sherlock would follow in from behind you, their flashlights lighting up the path. With the pair being their only source of light, Leo and The Doctor would have been forced to follow.

Splash! went something in the water. You weren't alone. Shining your flashlights at the water would reveal nothing that you could see...

With Cap's skills, she manages to bounce your shield off the walls in a correct manner of taking off the monster's head. Unfortunately, you both have been left with a ringing in your ears that doesn't seem like it will end any time soon.

With nothing else blocking your way, you step into the light of the tunnel to find...

A whole new environment. Trees surrounded the area, a stone pathway between them. It might have been a little weird transitioning from the hot desert and into this cold setting. It was easy to see that wherever you were, it was a mountainous area high in altitude. The ringing in your ears would leave you deaf from any incoming dangers.

You could follow the path or try to head into the trees.

The man's mouth opened wide as Catherine extracted his blood. He seemed content with this, though Emily's punch quickly knocked him out cold before he could really enjoy it, if that was even what he was doing. He crumpled to the ground next to Nathan. You were left with two unconscious bodies, an egg, and seemingly nowhere to go from here. As the desert looked featureless for miles, it seemed the only way to go was back into the tunnels.

But what would you do with those in the nest?

"Th-The hell is wrong with that guy?..." Jean muttered, looking to be at a loss for words for a moment before he was knocked out... He groaned once more as he looked towards the people still in the nest, then at the desert beyond. "Think we could carry these two?" He proposed, glancing at the desert that stretched beyond, he knew they had to keep moving soon; otherwise he wouldn't be able to find a cure for his bite fast enough...

"Well, now that that's over with it looks like we can only head back to those tunnels." Nezumi sighed. Shion looked over to the egg.

"Well what will we do with that egg?" The red eyed teen asked curiously.

"And if someone carries one of those dead weights over there I'll carry the other. Or I could try and carry both if necessary. Doesn't really matter to me." Nezumi suggested as he went to pick up the unconscious man.

Sorry for the inactivity, my alerts havnt been working

Tired.

Weak.

What kind of soldier am I? Really?

These and more thoughts like them filled Locus's head as he stood off to the side once more as Emily and the other handled the dinosaurs. The pain in his ribs hadn't lessened, it almost felt like it had grown worse. Every breath felt like a dagger being driven into his side and run along his ribs. But that wasn't the end of Locus's troubles.

FmFio9CLTGYcHJodmzNKhPTFPBv5tMctC2PxafOuKYk=w295-h165-p-no

"Oh Locus. How the mighty have fallen. Or well I shouldn't say mighty, should I? Just a teensy bit of an exaggeration there! The Locus I know wouldn't be down on his knees like some kind of bitch."

Locus didn't have any response for the hallucination's taunts. Just but a while ago, he'd been able to take care of himself. Just the way he'd always done things. Working alone and doing his best to reach the end-goal of his mission. The hallucination didn't see any need to let up on the wounded mercenary.

"You've been so out of it that everyone's been doing the fighting for you! The bitch who's dressed up like some kind of super-hero? The guy who got fucking bit? They all did more to take down that zombie than you! I bet you could have taken down any of them and yet here you are, catching your breath like that fat loser off the Red's team. I can't exactly say we were ever friends. But we were partners and we both carried our own weight. Yet, we get separated and you get some measly ribs busted. You think that gives you leeway to just kick your feet up and let that insane doc do the fighting for you? She used you as a goddamn platform!"

"No. I'm a soldier. I don't need anyone to hold my hand. I don't need you either."

"Suuuure! Keep telling yourself that the next time you're keeling over in agony! I'll be in touch."

Staggering back to his feet, Locus glanced over to where Nezumi was making his way to pick up the unconscious man. Walking over, he'd hold a hand out towards the younger man.

"Let me be the one to carry them. You're armed, I'm not. You'll be at a disadvantage if you're forced to carry both of them, let alone one. The weight might be enough to throw off your aim." He'd say almost matter-of-factly before seeking to carry both men over his shoulders. It brought a strain on his ribs but better him carrying these tw than the one who seemed to be carrying a nail gun at least. As for Catherine, Locus glared her way even if it was obscured by his helmet. Emily at least had the excuse of being less than mentally stable. This one seemed to take some sort of erotic pleasure from her 'procedures'

"Well what will we do with that egg?" The red eyed teen asked curiously.
"Oh, now that IS a question, isn't it?" She replied in the tone of a self confident and assured teacher speaking to a young child, arms gesticulating wildly. "Fortunately, for all involved, it is a very simple and easy question to answer, no doubt about it. No ifs and or buts no matter how you slice it!" She gave a thumbs up to everyone else to comfort them before she skipped along to the egg, reaching over to try and pick it up. "And by that I mean I am going with a highly classic, tried and true, time honored scientific tradition..."

Y8U9FKi.png

Rhonda looked anxiously at the water. "Guys in the front can you pick up the pace a little? Cause I really don't want to deal with anything that's in water."

"That could have gone better." Cap half shouted over to Daniel due to her ears being shot for the foreseeable future. "Let's just move out and see what we'll find."

Soon enough they would have found themselves some place new again. "Continuing on the path would be easy...but leaves us wide open for any attacks..." Then again...it's only a matter of time before they are going to get attacked again so might as well have a clear sight on the target right? With that Cap would continue on the path to see where it might lead them.

Tired.

Nezumi gave Locus a nod of understanding after studying him for a moment.

Conveniently for the group, Captain America had cleared a convenient path through the tunnels and out into the next environment.

The wind and cold snip at you, causing quite the whiplash after just emerging from a desert environment. You can spy Cap, Daniel, and Ash up ahead.

Following along the path, eventually the group find a lone cabin.

It looked warm and inviting. The path ended here, so perhaps this was a place where you could rest?

Sorry Rhonda, you're gonna be dealing with the the thing in the water. You see a claw break the surface and try to swipe at you!

"Careful!" Yelled Alan, his revolver flashed from the light as it let out a miniature roar from the revolver. "Sit back, damn it!" He unleashed another two rounds at the claw. "Son of a bitch! Suckers a tough one."

Sherlock came in, looking at Alan and at the mess going on. "What in bloody hell is that!? It's, it's..." He looked at it somewhat astounded as he laughed. "Amazing! Don't shoot it, you'll only make it angrier!" He laughed, before looking at Rhonda, the on setting commotion a funny sight.

"This is almost... Too easy..." Jean muttered, staring at the cabin, though, he realized quickly that he'd probably have to check up on the state of that wound in his leg eventually, so he sighed, heading towards the cabin cautiously.
