"Alright, don't stay out too late. You know those crazies come out during night." Devin replied, before slipping into the bathroom.

Meanwhile, Jacob was in the office of his mansion. He was looking over his battle plans. He was planning on killing another important alien, by ambushing the alien when least expected. Scribbling down on his paper, he glanced over the plan again.

His marriage was on rocks lately. That didn't give him the excuse to cheat on his wife. However, he fell for Grace. And...It was a bit...It wasn't right. He believed Grace was his children's age, even if they were the same age he hadn't known that. And now? She was pregnant with his child. Sure she was only four months and he had plenty time to think things over to tell his wife...But this was...Well terrible. What would he tell his wife? How could he divorce her? He...He felt terrible. But he didn't regret being with Grace. He truly did love her.

She may visit his office as often as she could, and she was now a familiar face to the guards who stood outside the mansion, but it was always a hassle trying to convince them that she had an appointment and had things to discuss with the leader. Every time she tried to convince the guards, they made her life difficult, deliberately refusing to believe her and grinning as she desperately pleaded, all while avoiding eye contract and cringing at the comments of how beautiful she was. Though, if they were in a particularly cruel mood, her pregnancy was targeted - being called a 'slut' had become common for the shy girl now.

Though, she eventually managed to gain access into the home after a few minutes of being subjected to the manly jokes at her expense. She would never tell Jacob about it - it would be far too difficult to explain why he got so angry over it, and it would only bring suspicion onto the pair of them, and she really could do without everyone knowing she was having an affair with him.

"...Jacob, I... hope you're not too busy?" She smiled as she nervously shuffled her way into the office, physically relaxing when seeing the man she dearly loved sat behind his desk. Closing the door behind herself, she headed towards the seats and perched herself down with a blush spread across her pale cheeks, even though she couldn't help peeking up at the board of alien targets behind him. Seeing people she knew up there was hardly... easy. She didn't agree with what her people were doing, but she also didn't want anyone to die - she just wanted peace. That was unlikely, though.

"I had to see you-- I know you said not to, that we had to be subtle, b-but... but it's hard," she admitted with a childish pout, wringing her hands together innocently. She was unaware of just how cute she unintentionally was when pouting like this, her big blue eyes looking sadly at him and inviting him to come and comfort her. "I want to be around you, all the time, a-and lend you my help with your work. I'm not useless, I-I'm not a little girl, Jacob. I.. I can be tough, like Devin, a-and stubborn like Gem, you know."

Smiling amusedly at her, he arched his brow before chuckling happily. Jacob was like fine wine. The more he age the better he looked. For an older man, he looked amazing with a very built body. "Tough like miss Devin hmm? And stubborn like Gem...Sweetheart I believe you would be better on the farms." Smiled the man as he moved to kiss her cheek.

He then got out of his seat he moved to rub her stomach, as well as kissing it softly. "The baby seems to be healthy. That's good."

"...It'd be better if I could see you more often, Jacob," she admitted bravely. She had whined and pleaded him in the past a hundred or more times, only to hear his gentle promises that, one day, they could be together. She knew that it was probably to shut her up, and that he had no idea what the future held, but she did try to believe him. Believing they had a future together was her dream... but she knew that was all it was ever going to be. A dream. He would never accept her when he knew she wasn't human, that was was one of Octavius' younger sisters, and that their child would be a half-blood. Jacob had spent so many years getting revenge-- and he wouldn't let Grace go unpunished for deceiving him, would he?

Smiling as she happily rested her hands over his, she couldn't help but blush brightly at the cute scene. An expectant father gushing and cuddling up to his pregnant lover was a scene out of a movie-- though, of course, their situation was much more complicated than that movie fantasy.

"The baby's healthy," she repeated in that timid -but utterly adorable- whisper, peering back down at their hands resting on her bump. It was hard to explain why her stomach was so swollen for only four months, the reason being that the baby was half-alien and their pregnancies were, of course, different to the conventional human ones. She would just say that it was water weight or that the baby was a little big if asked, but she hadn't had to lie just yet. Nobody really knew she was around to be able to question her on it. "Jacob, kiss me? I-I... I've missed you so much, I just want to--"

"Jacob? Look, mate, I know you told me to train the guys, but I have to ask, when are we going after my uncle? The guy's a total sadist, I'd love to give him a good punch before you kill him--" Grinned Octavius as the alien strolled in casually as he always did, stopping dead at the scene in front of him. He wasn't aware that the two were even friends, let alone secret lovers-- but he put it all together rather quickly. He wanted to punch Jacob's lights out for even interfering with his young sister, but he also wanted to scream at her for her idiocy. He was no better, because he was dating a human too-- but he knew there was a huge difference. Jacob was in charge and had all the power in the town, and he was the one who executed aliens, for one reason. The other was that he had never got Devin pregnant, whereas his little sister had. She was writing her own death by allowing herself to fall pregnant like this. Octavius vowed to protect her, and he still wanted to, but it was a lot more difficult to protect her and the baby when the father was Jacob of all people.

"...This is a turn up for the books, huh?" He grinned, trying to act normal and not like he was personally mad. Nobody knew Grace was his sister, and he wanted to keep it that way-- especially now she was connected to Jacob like this. "Jeez, Jacob, you old dog. Bit young for 'ya, ain't she~? And I'm the one getting teased for dating Devin. Hypocritical, much~?"

Jacob jumped hearing the door open. He feared it would be one of his children, or worst, his wife. However it was Octavious. Of course he didn't know this was his younger sister. He believed he executed all his younger sister's. Grace was like a ghost aforementioned. Not many people knew about her. Hell not even her family remember about her.

If Jacob were to find out his young lover was an alien? All hell would break loose. Jacob shot a glare at his right hand man, before signalling for him to close the door behind him. "Hush." He snapped. Pinching the bridge of his nose, he let out a sigh, before glaring at the younger man. "I know this looks bad....But I'll sort out everything... I do plan on divorcing my wife." He admitted, before crouching back down to Grace. "Grace, love. Do you need me to escort you home?" He asked, before leaning in to place a tender kiss on her lips.

Seeing her older brother standing in front of them while Jacob continued to flatter her with affection did make the young girl freeze in panic. She knew Octavius, under the surface, was fuming with both of them-- though it at least showed how much he cared. He hadn't cared about any of his now dead brothers and sisters, so for him to apparently love Grace made the girl slightly proud. Though, she wasn't like any of their other siblings. For one thing, she was kind and she understood the humans' fight, like Octavius. However, she shouldn't have gotten with Jacob. If it had been another human, Octavius could have understood-- but Jacob? That would inevitably cause her trouble when the truth got out, which it would at some point. If she was lucky, she had a few months left until the baby came. If she wasn't lucky, her lies would unravel before then.

"I... I don't want to go so soon," she nervously mumbled, trying to avoid Octavius' prying eyes as she gently pressed a kiss to her lover's knuckles, the first show of a more confident smile crossing her face. She wasn't shy and quiet around Jacob, usually. Hell, she could be quite loud with her infectious giggles and wild sense of humour-- but when Octavius was stood nearby, it was hard to show her love to Jacob without growing embarrassed.

"I-I want to stay here for a little while, Jacob. I don't like being away from you--"

"I can take you for that walk, if you want. Now I know whose kid you're carrying, I can blackmail Jacob, huh? You know, I'd like a day off training next week..." Octavius began playfully, leaning on the door and shooting a grin at the man he worked for. "Joking, relax-- C'mon, Jacob's a busy man, Grace. We'll get some fresh air, hm?"

"But... I-I... fine," she reluctantly frowned, desperately glancing at Jacob in hopes he would make an excuse to keep her around. "...Maybe we can meet later instead, then?"

"Of course. I'll come to you. I'm busy right now, love." He told her. Before she left, he took her delicate cheeks in his hands before kissing her passionately. He always kissed her that way before she left.

Jacob had no idea Octavious was fuming. Why would he? It's not like he knew this was his younger sister. If he did he would have been torturing her for information. And if he knew Octavious was hiding her? He would have him exposed and allow the entire town to execute him.

Meanwhile back at home, Devin was making dinner for everyone. Helping Blyke for once. Blyke seemed like the one to always be cooking on his own, which he complains about.

And, eventually, Octavius returned to the modest home to collapse down tiredly at the table, his smile only peeking on his lips when spotting Devin cooking alongside Blyke - a rare sight, but one he found utterly adorable. It felt far more normal to see his girlfriend in a homely setting like that. After the drama with his sister, who he assumed was his only sibling still alive, he needed this: a dose of the normal. When his sister's child was born, he knew they would be either exiled, if Jacob was in a good mood, or killed for deceiving him. and Octavius would probably be killed too. He would try to protect his sister, and there was no way he would allow her to die without trying his hardest to save her-- even if that meant revealing their connection and getting himself killed for keeping it secret.

"...I found out who Grace has been dating," he murmured once momentarily getting Devin to himself after Blyke left the room for a few seconds, watching him leave before tugging his girlfriend down onto his lap with one of his flirtatious grins. "...Jacob. I know, I know. She's an idiot, really. He's an idiot. She's far too innocent for him, too... sane."

"Jacob? He's like....fifty, gross." She grimaced as she wrapped her arms around his broad shoulders, smiling a bit at how handsome he was today. "...I should talk to her....This...this must be tough on her. For one he's married with kids her age...That's...That must be tough on her." Whispered Devin as she slowly traced her fingers across his chest.

Humming lightly, she leaned in to place a sweet kiss on his lips. "...How did you find out? Did you see them together?" She asked with her eyes wide. "In his mansion? Ugh what a jerk. He seduces a teenage girl, while he's married, with kids. I mean the guys a freaking dog."

"If he wasn't keeping us safe here, I'd have told him that. I mean, Grace is... she's like a little sister to us all, isn't she? The fact Jacob's just... done this. It pisses me off. It'd irritate me if it was Gem. I don't think that guy's really completely sane, to be honest, but he's been nice to me. I respect him enough not to tell him what I think. Grace isn't a kid, either. I just wish... well, they'd been a bit more mature and less reckless," grumbled the alien as he kept his strong arms around her waist, appreciating the fact her kisses and affection distracted him from just how furious he was. Hiding who Grace really was was just another secret he was hiding from Devin, he knew that, but he felt that it was far too late now to reveal anything to her.

"How long before dinner's ready? I mean, we could sneak off for a little while, couldn't we? I've been training all morning, I could really do with a few kisses and a nice massage..."

"Dinner should be done in fifteen. I could give you a massage if you want." Stated the woman with a smile, moving to play with the stubble on his chin, her eyes soft with love.

Gem wandered into the living space of the house, rolling her eyes at the couple. "Seriously get a room." Mumbled the girl as strides past then, flipping her short hair.

"Gem. Shut up, what do you want?"

"Dinner, obviously." Grumbled the girl as she plopped down.

"You're just jealous you haven't found a boyfriend yet, Gem. Why not? The men here are pretty cute. All utterly violent and insane, but hey, is that really going to stop you?" Laughed the alien as he all but prevented Devin from moving anywhere, partly because he just wanted to keep the affection, but also now to continue pissing off Gem. Despite his teases, he still cared a great deal about both her and Blyke. The four of them were a close family at this point, even if the girls bickered-- but that was a sisterly thing to do, wasn't it?

"Food smells delicious, dude," he smiled over to Blyke again, finally easing his girlfriend off his lap once seeing Gem glare more and more at their affectionate display. "Hurry up with it, huh? I've been training all day-- Jacob's soldiers are idiots, I've had to train them all through the morning."

"Uh hello? Did you forget I'm in the army too, jerk?" Hissed Blyke. He had been rather irritable lately. For one, he was forced to make everyone meals in the little home, because they were so lazy, and without him they would probably starve. Second, he was forced to be I some army he didn't even want to be in.

Gem rolled her eyes at her cousins angry out burst before checking her nails. "No need to be such a baby. Jeez." Mumbled the girl.

Before he could snap back someone knocked on the door. Devin looked at the door and the room got eerily quiet. They never got visitors this late. Slowly Devin stood up and went to open the door. There a woman stood. She was another general, high up in the army. And she despised Octavious. Mostly because he stole her spot over being Jacob's right hand.

The woman, Lucinda, looked at Devin before walking around her to walk in. "I'm here for Octavious." She grumble.dfamily_duty_by_geiboi-d9jddjv.jpg

"And why have you suddenly decided to interrupt my dinner with my rag-tag family, Lucinda? Oh wait, it's not because of anything important, is it? You just can't stand seeing me happy. You don't entirely feel happiness, so you can't compute when others actually enjoy their lives. I get it. You're a stone-cold bitch," sighed Octavius. He tried to get on with everyone he could, to make sure less negative attention was brought his way that could end up with his secret being revealed, but Lucinda was an exception. She had hated him from the start, so he found it impossible to show her an ounce of respect when none of it was ever returned.

Easing himself up out of his chair with an unsubtle grumble, he finally became serious and shot her a fierce glare. "What is it you want me for? Is it Jacob? Does he want me?"

She shoved him a filed that she was holding, glaring at him. "Jacob said read through it. It's important. About our attack next week. Enjoy your evening." Hissed the woman before leaving.

Devin flipped her off as she left before coming up to her boyfriend, looking st the concealed file. "Looks important ~" She cooed poking at it. She knew she wasn't allowed to see them, but she wanted to

"Ooh, an important file just for my eyes? I do wish I could show you, Devin, but you know it's worthy more than my life. I'm an important, high-ranking soldier in the army. I get important files that only I'm allowed to see-- but you know that," he purred under his breath, pressing his forehead close and stealing a few passionate kisses from her before opening the file. He couldn't lie - being granted these sorts of things did make him feel special. He was an alien, yet he was being granted the privileges of some important soldier, in a human army? Sure, it was unconventional, but he enjoyed it. He did like Jacob, despite what he had done with Grace, and the fact the man saw Octavius as an important asset wasn't lost on him. He didn't take it for granted.

"Mm, this attack looks pretty damn serious," he mumbled under his breath with a slow glance across to Blyke. "I can't tell you, dude, but I mean... it's going to be pretty tough. Not that you mind. You're already strong enough-- I bet you could kill the aliens blindfolded, huh~?"

Under the attack plans was Octavious's uncle. The man looked just like an older, and fierce version of Octavious, however his hair was a chocolate brown and was always slicked back.

Devin glanced at the picture, before gasping a bit at the resemblance. "Wow....This alien...He looks a lot like you, Octavious." Mumbled the woman.

"Lemme see." Gem mumbled before hurrying over to see for herself.

"You, my darling, really shouldn't be sneaking peaks at my totally confidential and super important files. Do you know how risky that is? What punishment I could be given?" Purred the alien as he let that handsome grin linger on his lips, though made no effort to hide the picture from view. Why would he? He was confident that they weren't going to accuse him of being an alien simply because his uncle looked like him. People sometimes looked like one another without being related - it happened.

"Mm, he does, doesn't he?" He confirmed with a faint chuckle. It was best to go along with that than defensively and suspiciously say otherwise. Hiding the information from the others, he scanned the file before whistling. "And he's pretty important, too. Brother of the King, apparently. Boy, killing this one's gonna be fun. I do like it when we get to kill the royals."

"Lucky you, instead I'm stuck farming because of your silly lie." Hissed Devin, shoving his shoulder back. She glanced at the picture, her eyes cold. "...I hate the royals. Each and every one of them. Make then pay for what they did to us."

Blyke glared at the picture as well, angry at the aliens. "Oh we will. We'll make him suffer, right Octavious?" Grinned the man as she slapped his back in a brotherly manner. "We should be at and get some sleep. Training will be hell won't it?"

"I'm going to push you and push you-- and push you some more, sure. If you want to kill this alien, then we're going to definitely need to be top of our game. The guy looks strong as hell, and if he's in the royal family, he'll be protected," he pointed out, albeit with a wide grin towards Blyke who he did consider his best and closest friend. He never thought he would ever say that about a human, but then again, he didn't think he would ever be dating one either, and currently he was deeply in love with Devin, so clearly he wasn't to trust his assumptions.

Though, all this did make him consider the issue with Grace. He didn't want to lose everything he had, and when Grace gave birth, she -and Octavius- would be killed. Now, he loved Grace-- but he had allowed all his other siblings to be killed. Why was Grace different; just because she was kind to him? If he had compare her life with his, he would sacrifice her all the time-- and he wanted to keep living. So, that meant sacrificing Grace, which he already knew how to do. She would never be as cruel as he was, and she would never tell on him, even if tortured because she was that loyal-- that could work in his favour.

"I should go search for Grace," he admitted as he got to his feet with a long groan. "She said she was going for a walk, I should go find here for dinner, huh?"
