Octavius, until that point, had been already planning out his various ways of escaping, and what to do with himself once he managed to get out. He was envisioning, firstly, getting a good meal from some alien soldier, before lounging in some hidden area and smoking through the remainder of his cigarettes and watching the clouds pass in the sky-- however, now? All that changed. How could he possibly leave when Devin was clearly going to reveal something to him? He didn't quite know why he felt like he did about some 'dumb human', but he did like her... and he didn't want to abandon her without hearing her return the same feelings. If his parents could see him now, he knew they would be disappointed in him. He was their pride and joy, his mother's favourite son... and here he was, living amongst humans, killing aliens, maintaining his cannibalistic streak when he could, and developing feelings for a human girl he really shouldn't. Knowing how pissed off they'd be was amusing, though - he lost all love for them when they locked him away in his room all his life.

"...I'll be right back home later, don't go doing anything fun without me," he purred with an infectious grin, heading out into the cool air. He didn't plan on leaving, not now... but he did plan on finding out just what Jacob knew, and so he headed straight to his home. He didn't really care how he did it, but he needed to find out if Jacob was just suspicious, or whether he just wanted his help.

Meanwhile, Jacob was at the training grounds for his army. The training grounds looked like an very old, and war tone baseball field. However it was now supplied with guns, boxing dummies, targets, and everything you would need to train an army. The strong man was commanding them as they did workouts. His face hard, and his stare piercing as hr shouted out orders. However, his hazel eyes caught sight of the very man he was dying to talk to in private. That stern stare melted into that of an eager one. Smirking, he leaned over to his second in command. "Garrick. Take control. I have business to handle." He whispered in the man's ear, before casually striding over. "Octavius. I didn't expect to see you until tomorrow, my boy. However I'm extremely glad to see you. Come. Let's go to my mansion. I want to speak to you without prying eyes around." Motioning for him to follow, he crunched over the dry land with his thick combat boots.

Peering over at him, the older man couldn't get the smile off his face. "You are a very promising fellow, yes you are. You are going to make my army extremely great." After a ten minute walk, they reached his mansion. Opening the door for him, he directed him into his office before shutting the door and locking it. His office was over in pictures and maps. Most maps had scribbles over places and targets on him. The pictures? Of important aliens. Some aliens had a big 'X' over their faces. Like one picture of Octavious's younger brother. And whose picture was in the center of it all? Dear Octavious.

"You are the answer to man kind Octavious. Yes, I know your secret. You're wanted my all the aliens. I learned about you two years ago when I raided an alien ship, and I have been searching for you ever since. I couldn't read the aliens wanted signs, since it's in your native language. However I had one of my hostages tell me what you were wanted for. Your the Prince. The heir to the throne. Or at least you were until you began killing your own kind. Octavious, you have intel don't you? Information about aliens that even I don't know, correct? Look, we can work together. Kill these sons of bitches together." He stated with a grin. "And as for your pregnant mate, I'll have her watched closely. An hybrid baby, how amazing. She knows you're an alien doesn't she?" He asked

Sitting back in the office chair when invited to do so, the alien calmly examined the wall and the maps of intricate detail with a cool eye, even if, inwardly, the man was on edge. Jacob knew what and who he was, and frankly, Octavius didn't trust him. How could he trust him? He was a human who was in charge of a town that, from what Octavius could see, were hardly the most sane of people. They would kill an alien without hesitation, and the man knew that he could be killed the moment Jacob got irritated with him. Octavius did have a habit of annoying people, particularly with his cockiness, so if he wanted to continue to live, that had to be reigned in a little.

"...You killed all these guys?" He quietly piped up, not addressing the latter part of the conversation while his mind still attempted to cool himself down, instead striding over to the wall to examine the important figures that had presumably be killed. "You killed my baby brother, then? I tried eating him once, it's why I got exiled. Mother didn't really like finding out her precious baby boy was a cannibal who was willing to eat his own brother. The dumb old bitch was always on my case-- so what is it you want? Information? I have information, Jacob. What I want in return is this little... knowledge you have on me to be kept secret. Nobody knows I'm... what I am, so I'd like to keep it that way as long as I can."

His bright eyes, usually playful, now stared sternly across at Jacob, refusing to crack into anything other than a hard, serious glare. "I don't trust you, but I... want to evade capture. My parents want me in prison on their ships, and I'd much rather be out here with Devin, so in return for you keeping me alive and keeping what I am secret, I'll help you out all I can. I'm not on best terms with the other aliens, really. They have wanted posters of me? Psh. Though, I've always loved that picture of me, don't you~? Captures my handsome side~"

"...So your mate doesn't know what you are? Shame really. I would love to know how you kept what you are a secret. You all have those tattoos on your chest." Jacob mumbled, before waltzing over and shaking his hand, to confirm the deal. "Your secret is completely safe with me. You have my word. Tomorrow, we begin our hunt on him." He stated, pointing to a man hanging on the wall. It was Tibalt. Octavious didn't know him well. Tibalt was simply a general. "This man has killed hundred of humans. Including my sister. I'm launching a hunt on him. Find out where his ship is located. And we'll capture him. I believe with you on the mission, he'll walk straight into our trap. And then we'll get information out of him, and then kill him." Grinned Jacob, before turning to the alien.

"Octavious. We're going to take back our planet. This now your home too. We'll take it back and teach those sons of bitches not to fuck with humanity." Hissed Jacob. A knock on his office door startled him. Glaring at the door, he called, "Who is it?"

"Dad, it's me, Cati." His daughter answered.

"Wait out there. I'll come out, I have company. Actually it's someone I want you to meet. He'll be a high ranking officer in the army come tomorrow.' He said through the door, opening it, allowing Octavious out first.

There stood a girl in her late teens, maybe early twenties. She looked up at Oct, her eyes widen slightly, lips parted. Obviously taken back by his beauty. "O-Oh...Hi...I'm in the army...Cati...That's my name..." She fumbled over her words.evie_1000_by_tsvetka-da0br3a.jpg

He didn't completely trust Jacob yet, and the feeling was probably mutual, but he trusted him enough to know that he would keep the secret as long as Octavius gave him information and brought him revenge on the aliens he was personally affected by. And Octavius had no gripes in lending his assistance. After exile, he personally hated the family and the people he had shared his life with-- or rather, hadn't, given the fact his parents had locked him away to preserve him. After that, he really wasn't going to hesitate in helping Jacob, if it meant being able to evade capture and stay beside Devin especially. His feelings for her were blossoming by the second, having grown from using her for his protection to now being unable to think of his life without her in it, groaning at one of his corny jokes or trying to force away a blush at his unsubtle flirts.

However, despite his affection for her, the alien wasn't dating her. He had no reservations in seeing another beautiful girl and making it obvious he liked them, and this was one such moment. Sure, he felt he loved Devin, but nothing -as of yet- was official. He couldn't go flirting with Cati, though, not when he father was Jacob. He couldn't piss the man off, so his smile to Cati was subtle, shooting her a wink when Jacob wasn't looking.

"Pleasure to meet 'ya," he smiled, shaking her hand with an air of professionalism. "I guess... we'll be training together? I didn't think girls would be in your army-- good to now you ain't sexist, Jacob~"

"If you can fight, you're in the army. That's my motto. Besides, humanity needs any solider we can get, women can't be excluded simply because they are women. Now, Octavious, I've had a wonderful chat with you, but I should het back to my training grounds. I'll see you tomorrow morning, six am sharp." Nodding as a goodbye, the older man left the mansion.

Cati glanced at where her father was, before looking up at the attractive man. Her blue eyes took in all his dazzling features. His tanned skin, care free smirk, chiseled face, broad chest, strong body. He was gorgeous, basically sex on legs. Tucking a short strand of her blonde hair behind her ear, she let her lips flick up into a flirty smile. "So, Octavious was is? You must be new. Being new can be so lonely. You don't know anyone, everyone is wary of you, and you get this little apartment all alone. I would hate it. You know, I could keep you company, if you'd like." Asked the teenage girl as her fingers went to run up his stronger muscular arms.

Her eyes had a playful glint, and she obviously was offering more than just simple company. Biting down on her lower lip, she leaned in to press her body against his with a soft giggle. "...You know, no one's here. We could go talk in my room." This display was far different than how shy she was just a few moments ago.

"And why would I accept that offer when it would put me at risk of losing my safety and potentially a chance at a life here? Your father would, undoubtedly, put a bullet between my eyes if he knew I had done anything with his daughter. Didn't you hear, darling? I'm going to have a high rank in this army of yours. Now why would I ruin that?" He spoke maturely, for once appearing to take the right option and not do anything utterly reckless that would ruin the nice life he currently had. He had something special with Devin, he had a pact with Jacob that would keep his identity a secret, and he had a nice place to live with some people he could call his friends. When he was first exiled, he didn't expect anything like this. he assumed he would be on the streets until his eventual capture, but now he had an opportunity to fight for something and knowing his safety and protection was valued.

However, he wasn't like Devin, who ruled with her head. He very much was ruled by his feelings rather than thoughts, and right now, he was feeling very much aroused by the tender touches. Hell, if Devin wasn't around, he would have probably slept with Gem by now, even if he valued her as a close friend more than an object of his affections. If Devin was stood near him, he would have told Cati that he liked the attention, and thanked her for the compliments, but he wouldn't -and couldn't- do anything. Not when he held such dear feelings for someone else. Without Devin, though, that maturity wasn't present. Instead, he quietly smirked at the girl's change in personality and leaned down to press his face in close to hers, those blue, sapphire eyes of his sparkling mischievously.

"I would like to talk somewhere more comfortable, I suppose. You're... rather naughty, aren't you? Does your Dad know you're a flirtatious little minx? I have the impression he thinks you're all shy and quiet, love. It's impressive, how you've managed to convince him..." He praised with a light laugh, leaning back up and winking softly. "Come on then, let's have a nice chat. That's all we're having, a 'chat', hm~?"

"Well, if only you want to do more." Smirked the woman as she wrapped her arms around his neck with a giggle and purr. She then lead him up the grand steps, and to her bedroom, whispering softly in his ears of things she wanted to do to him.

However when she reached the tops of the steps her twin was standing there with an arched brow and crossed arms. "...Cati...What the hell are you doing?" Asked the man, annoyed with his sister

"Cadence. Move, your ruining it." She hissed, glaring at her twin.boy2_by_leejun35-d8gixu2.jpg

Seeing the girl's twin didn't entirely surprise him. Jacob was a handsome man, so it made sense that he would produce children who were equally as attractive. Calmly peeling himself away from Cati with a joyous laugh, he petted her on the head and simply placed a little distance between them naturally, like he hadn't been planning anything with her. He had pretended to be human all this time - he was pretty good at acting.

"I was simply escorting your sister to her room. I would have talked to her about the army, but I think she mentioned she was tired. You must be her brother, hm? The resemblance is obvious," smiled Octavius coolly, eyeing the girl first and then letting his eyes settle on the teenage boy opposite him, almost expecting him to say something, and when he didn't in time, the alien laughed lightly to himself. "I suppose I'll be seeing you around, Cati?"

"....I'll see you around Oct." She huffed lightly, before shoving her brother as she went to her room

Cadence looked at the alien, a grimace set on his face. His fingers flexing over his own muscles as he scoffed a bit. "Try staying away from her. I mean it." He hissed.

"And what makes you think I'm interested in your sister? Involving myself romantically would risk everything I've established-- you both are kids, I wouldn't get involved like that. She may cling to me, but I had no interest in doing anything with her. I have a... person I rather think is special, and who I'd rather be talking to right now over someone who glares at me like I've done something wrong. It was a pleasure meeting you, kid, but can I go now?" Drawled Octavius with an amused smile still stuck handsomely to his features, his arms folded over his chest as he waited a few further seconds, before smirking and turning his back to wander down the stairs. In many ways, it was a blessing that the teenager had interrupted things. He wanted to show Devin that he deeply liked her, more than any other girl, and sleeping with Cati would have contradicted his genuinely strong feelings.

Meanwhile, Devin was back at the small home she shared with the other. In her and Octavious's room she paced back and forth, her brows furrowed, her face a bit ashen, and she was biting her nails like a mad man. Her stomach was in knots, and she herself couldn't sit down. Why? Because she was nervous. At this moment, she looked less like the tough badass we all knew, and more like her old self. The one that got nervous around boys, the giggly, carefree beauty.

"Ugh, what am I supposed to say to him? Th-That idiot...Going on mushy on me..." She whispered. A flash of the alien man's face went through her head, causing her cheeks to darken with Blush. Hiding her face behind her hands, she plopped down on the foot of the bed, whining to herself. "I...I'm not good with saying my emotions out loud....I mean...I...I do like him....But...Knowing that cocky bastard he'll just say 'duh, who doesn't?'." Devin said the last part in a deepened voice, trying to mock the alien. And may I add she did a terrible job at it.

Falling back onto the bed, so that she was laying o. it, she looked up at the ceiling. "...Okay Devin, stop acting like a damn girl....Just tell him you feel the same, it's no biggie...I mean he already knows basically." She mumbled to herself, before letting out a deep breath. "This will be so easy. I mean, it's Octavious. He's the easy idiot to talk to."

"I prefer intelligent, utterly handsome and brilliant one to talk to, but hey, I'll take whatever comment I can get from you. So, you fancy me then? Didn't mean to eavesdrop, but it was nice to hear all that. You normally don't speak about me so lovingly, Devin," cooed the man as he finally made his appearance known, having been stood outside the door for the last two minutes listening in with an amused smile-- though he wasn't as cocky and as smug as he perhaps had expected to be. Of course, he wandered into their bedroom with one of his signature grins, but he wasn't going to tease her non-stop about her feelings. If anything, he was just relieved they were shared. He was used to girls falling in love with him, but... well, he was Octavius! He didn't go developing loving feelings for anyone. How pathetic would it have been if he had this time, only for Devin to refuse them?

Wandering to sit beside her on the bed, he took a moment or two to contemplate his own feelings before grinning kindly over at her. "I think it's real sweet that you like me-- you know how I feel about you, I hope. I really like you. Sure, it's... not the most conventional way to meet girls, in amongst an alien invasion, but things... have a funny way of working out, I suppose."

His blue eyes, dazzling and currently full of life, peered over at her as he subtly moved in a little closer, having the excuse of sharing warmth if she questioned him on his motive. "So, uh... look, I'm not good at this cheesy stuff. I'm great at kissing and stuff, just not the... romantic part. I've never been in love with a girl before you, so it's... new."

With a face as red as strawberries, Devin looked at him wide. She was far past embarrassment. He had just heard everything! Ugh, she was such a damn girl right now, and it was pissing her off.

Listening to him, she gave a shy smile before moving to hold his hands. "We don't have to do cheesy stuff...And..And let's take this slow, alright?" She chuckled, before glancing away with red cheeks. "...I think...I think we should stay in this town for a while...I mean...Where else are we going to be this at home? We...We can have an actual life here. Not on the run."

"Sounds nice and all. I like Jacob, he's... trusting me with a lot, and I've decided to place my trust in him. I like it here, I really do. I... don't want to keep hiding and keep running, but I think there's a major hitch in that little plan, sweetheart. I have told everyone that we're having a child. I guess we can say you lost it or something if you're that insistent that you want to stay here? Oh well, we have a month or two to figure that out, don't we? Right now, I want to at least cuddle with you. We can take things slow, but we cuddled last night. No difference now, is there?" Smirked the alien with his usual smugness returning, albeit with a more affectionate tone to his words that signalled emotion, and not just blatant flirting for the hell of it.

With his arms now wrapped firmly around the girl, he pressed his face close to share the pillow with her, contently purring beneath his breath at how natural the proximity felt. Sure, she smelled intoxicating and he could quite easily have killed her for meat... but he had long since abandoned the thought of Devin as food. She was his friend, and now she was his girlfriend. He wouldn't lay a finger on her, even if he was on the verge of starvation.

Shyly, Devin wrapped her arms around his neck, slowly closely the space between them as she cuddled. It felt nice. To hear someone's heart beat again. To be in someone's arms. It made her feel....Normal. That was all she need at this time. Was to be normal again.

Devin craved that normality. It was nice, and, the more they stayed in this town and experienced it. The more she didn't want to leave.

A few months past like that. Living normally in that little town. The girls worked on the farm, while the boys worked in the army. The little group heard that Octavious was high up in the army, but they didn't know why. It was amazing. They still had no clue that he was an alien still. None of them found it odd that they never seen his chest before. And besides it's not like they could ever suspect him of being an alien. He was so...human.

What was even more amazing was Devin didn't even know he was an Alien and they were sexually active. They've only ever had sex in the dark, obviously so she wouldn't see that tattoos on his chest. So Devin didn't suspect him. If she had known he was an alien? Nothing good would come of it. She would feel deceived, betrayed, hurt, used. Aliens are the reason her family is dead. And knowing her boyfriend was the Prince? It would hurt her. But she isn't one for crying. No, Devin hurt meant she would be the one to personally kill Octavious.

Now their lie of her being pregnant had ended. They simply told everyone that she miscarried. Easy enough lie. Jacob was the saddest to hear the news. He was looking forward to seeing an alien hybrid baby. He guest the baby couldn't survive in a human host. He still didn't know they lied to simply gain a bigger home.

Now, months into living in the little town, they four had got accustomed to living with each other. They knew each other routines. But...That didn't mean the girls didn't argue when it came with showers. It was still o ly one bathroom in the home.

"Gem!" Devin shouted banging on the door. "You're going to take all the damn hot water! Hurry up!" She yelled, banging harder on the door. It was a little past six in the evening. The girls just got home after twelve hours spent on the farm. Devin was covered in mud, iver the months she gained a deeper ran from working in the sun all day, but her brown hair gained natural highlights from the sun. She looked prettier, healthier, happier. Expect for the fact she was dirty at the moment.

It had been months since he first began dating Devin, and since he agreed with Jacob to give information in return for his secret being kept. To Jacob's credit, nobody know Octavius' secret. To most, he was simply that cocky, unbelievably handsome high-ranking soldier in the army, who was undeniably close to Jacob. They assumed that the private meetings were about training methods, or personal chat about how they were settling in. While such conversations took place from time to time, their main chats were about finding the important aliens Octavius knew and had information on. Of course the two chatted in a typically manly way, but the main focus of everyone's lives, other than survival, was to get revenge on the aliens. Given Octavius was one and knew a wealth of information on his former colleagues and friends, he was expected to tell all he knew.

And he did. He had absolutely no feelings for most the aliens. His family had exiled him, and then decided that exile wasn't enough - they had spent months and years trying to track him down, to bring him back and keep him imprisoned for as long as he could manage it would losing his sanity. Why on earth would he feel any sympathy for them? Dating Devin did, admittedly, make him feel sympathetic t the human cause. They had arrived on the planet and proceeded to kill without explanation - the humans had every right to be angry, and Octavius truly wanted to help them... mostly because he got his own revenge back on them, and doing this meant he could be with Devin and Jacob would keep him alive. It had its benefits, being on the human side.

The main benefit was being able to be with Devin. He hadn't felt anything for anyone like this before. He was an alien, but he had felt sexual desire before, that was natural. He had slept with humans, but felt nothing but that desire. There was never any substance, or true romance-- until meeting the spunky, feisty girl he had first assumed he could use for protection in numbers, but slowly and earnestly fell in love with her. Keeping who and what he was wasn't too hard to do. He made casual excuses not to take off his shirt in the day, or take showers with her, and when they had sex, the lights were always off and he always made sure to tug his shirt on before dropping to sleep. He had done this for months now, and it meant his secret was kept safe while also maintaining a normal, happy, content and loving relationship with his girlfriend. If he had to choose a side, he would choose to be wherever Devin was - that was how deeply he had fallen for her. He often likened their relationship to magnets - unquestionably attracted to one another, and destined to meet. Corny, sure, but he enjoyed teasing her like that, especially when they had company. There was nothing better than seeing Devin flush in bashful embarrassment.

However, despite the four living in the house having grown closer over the months (obviously, Devin and Octavius being the ones who had bonded together the most), they often had a fifth guest. A young girl by the name of Grace, who had arrived into Old Town ten months ago. For the most part, she was incredibly ghost-like. She was shy, quiet and rarely spoke. In fact, many hardly noticed she was around because of her meekness... though it was difficult to understand why she was so overlooked, when she was astoundingly beautiful. She did live up to her name - she was graceful and entirely youthful in her fresh beauty, but apparently, most failed to notice she was around because she was so shy.

Shy she may be, but she did harbour terrible secrets. One being that she was an alien. She had arrived to the town, pretending to be human and managing to be allowed in simply because those perverted an sexist guards thought she was too young to check over like they had done with Devin. Little did they realise that, despite appearing 17 or 18 years of age, she was well over 50 years of age. Perhaps it was obvious if people thought about it, given her almost inhuman beauty, but, like Octavius, nobody thought it possible of someone so sweetly silent.

The second secret was who she was - Octavius' little sister. She wasn't... exactly known to Jacob or the others in the Town, simply because her silence and her shyness had meant that, out of her many brothers and sisters, she was one who was rarely ever seen. Of course, Octavius recognised her the moment she showed up, but seeing his baby sister look so frightened and scared, he took her under his wing and began to be a big brother to her again, especially after learning that she had escaped her parents because she couldn't stand what they, and the other aliens, were doing. He didn't and couldn't hate Grace. She was one of his siblings who he actually liked - she wasn't cruel or mean, and she wasn't a killer. No human could hate her if they got to know her, but nobody would give her a chance if they know who and what she was.

And her third secret? Potentially, one of the most personal. The young girl, despite how quiet and often overlooked she was, was currently pregnant. Devin and Octavius may not have provided some half-breed baby together (it was all a lie, after all) but Grace was, and rumours had spread like wildfire around the place to work out just who she had slept with. The truth, nobody would have ever guessed - Jacob. The man was much older than her in appearance (in reality, they were the same age), and he had children who looked older than her, and he was married. However, none of that had stopped them striking up an affair over the course of the months, with Grace falling hard and deeply in love with the leader... even if she had to show him that love in private and shrouded in secrecy. When she wasn't with him, though, she was at the home with the four, as she was that day.

Nervously smiling towards Devin after poking her head from the bathroom, having begged Gem to have a bath before her, she tied a towel around her hair and exited the bathroom smelling sweetly of the rose perfume Jacob had found for her. "I... didn't take all the hot water-- I tried not to! I-I... sorry," apologised the mousy girl as she tightened her dressing gown around herself, her hands immediately reaching to hold her large bump. Being with Jacob was the one thing that relaxed her, but having their baby kick and move about was a good substitute for his presence. "...Where's Octavius? I-I... He said he would take me for a walk around the town, said it'd do me and the baby some good..."

826.jpg

"O-Oh Grace? I didnt know it was you, you can go back in there if you weren't done. And I think Octavious is in out toon." Devin smiled sweetly.

"Oh so if it's Grace, its okay to take all the hot water?!" Gem growled, peaking her head from around d the corner before heading up to Devin with a glare, her hands on her hips.

"Grace is pregnant, and she isn't whiny brat like you." Hissed Devin, that hard glare on her face. "Anyway, Grace, you should get dressed, I'm sure Octavious will still take you out on a walk." She cooed lightly.

"...Why do you always argue? I... I mean... you have no reason to bicker. You're safe here, you're all a little family... I... I don't see why you don't get on. You're both so sweet, s-so maybe we can try not to argue so much all the time?" The girl weakly suggested, smiling between the two girls. She did genuinely like them both, adoring Gem's sense of fun and girlishness, while appreciating Devin's fierce independence and caring personality. They were both so opposed, but offered so much as individuals. If they learned to be friends, then it would make the atmosphere in the home ten times more comfortable.

Grace knew that, when the baby came, she would probably get killed. She loved Jacob with all of her heart, but he was hardly going to respond brilliantly once seeing his half-breed child. Octavius had promised her that, as her older brother, he would protect her, but she didn't want that. He had a life here with Devin, and she knew that he didn't want to risk that-- so she wasn't going to allow him to.

"...I need to visit Jacob, so my walk with Octavius can wait. I need to know if... I should go to work when the baby's born," she whispered, making an excuse up on the spot. She knew he was busy, as he always was, but she couldn't go a day without seeing him. She was like a lovesick teenager-- though she knew he adored her as much as she did him, so she didn't find her desperation pathetic.
