[BCOLOR=transparent]Tsukikage was a nice leader, he had watched her take charge during the riddle and when they eventually figured it out everyone was sharing the loot with one another passing on information about each little item. Rumeus spoke up about his lack of equipment he felt embarrassed for the childish act he had performed earlier, though honestly did it have to be the focus of a conversation right now? He nervously tried to avoid the conversation, afraid if he rejected the offer it be once again detrimental to his safety in the game.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]He wasn't so sure, yet, if he were comfortable enough with the party to speak out though he did try again. Opening his mouth, then closing it, he mumbled something, but was of course easily drowned out. Till he finally spoke up, "I'd like a red potion please!"[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]He smiled, the smile was meant more for him because he was proud that he spoke up. Eventually when all the items were distributed and everyone got what they wanted, they received a PM by Sagitarius speaking of demons. [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]Fuck.[/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent] Whatever lied ahead was going to be one tough fight, still though he was determined nonetheless.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]His precognition of a tough fight was not wrong though as they walked into the next room, there was six wolves looking all fierce which made a pit in his stomach develop. In his mind he was thinking, [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]oh fuck, oh fuck[/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent], yet he wouldn't share any of that.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Tsukikage got hit by one of them, not surprisingly though Tsukikage got right back up. Tsukikage's personal resilience gave him confidence as well. He would put his confidence in Tsukikage.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]"A, take the front and get ready to counter the first fucker that comes at you! Keter and I will flank you! Soren, follow behind so we can bodyblock! Rumeus, Ova, take the rear and get into a comfortable range! Blast up that stunned shitter!"[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]"Roger that!" Ova said with a salute before getting into position in the rear. He was going to do it this time, he was going to hit these son of a bitches so far back they wouldn't know what the difference between left and right was.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Here went nothing as he ignited his Silver Ether to trywind push on the stunned shitter.[/BCOLOR]

As nice as Sagittarius' head up PM was, Keter was getting pretty tired of all the twists that they had to deal with. If the Dungeon didn't give them some decent EXP after all this crap… With a sigh, he raised a hand to shield his eyes against the bright light and stepped into the room with the others.

Tsukikage's warning reached him shortly after the roar of flames as a projectile detonated against, presumably, her. Appreciated, but ultimately unheeded as the fireball aimed at him flew wide. A on the other hand did need to heed the warning, but a glance revealed that she wasn't similarly covered in black hellfire like their DPS/rogue member was at the moment. He had just enough time to confirm that the attack had put a DoT on her, rather nasty, before he had to act.

While his first thought was to Observe the mobs, the fact that it actually used up his actions for a turn was rather frustrating. Two turns just to get a read on the two different types of foes present, and in that time someone would probably be dead again. With an annoyed huff, he palmed one of the Refined Ether Shards and pointed a finger at the stunned Demonic Wolf. "Bolt!"
Green Shard Bolt
2 - 12 Accuracy = -10 / Damage: 20!

While the process was much the same, Keter felt the Shard thrum in his fist as the Soul flowed from his arm. The projectile was green rather than almost opaque this time, but it flew just as effectively as before and slammed into the dazed wolf. A howl of pain filled the room as a blackish-red haze was shunted from the mob, and a blue/green 20 appeared above the creature's head.

He checked on the rest of the party, and was a bit surprised to see Ova had picked up the pace and hustled to obey Tsukikage. "Ova! Hold it! Ready your knockback incase any of them try to dash around A. If they don't, hit them with what you've got."

As A kept walking forward, a wild Rumeus suddenly appeared in front of her, speaking about the necklace she stored away earlier. A was thinking for a second. Yes, she got it from the tutorial dungeon and yes, it had made more sense on Ova's neck instead of her own BUT considering how that dungeon went she ultimately claimed it for her own. Not like the small Soul boost was wasted on her considering she didn't have much in the first place. Now, however, it made sense to at least borrow her necklace to one of the casters rather than letting it rot in her inventory.

The girl opened her mouth to give a response, clearly ready to say something as she slowly closed it again. She didn't really care about Rumeus not making much sense in regards to having gotten it from the tutorial dungeon or actually having bought it, after all, everybody got stuff from their tutorial dungeon, no? No, A was thinking for a second how Rumeus would act if she just right-out denied him. Surely he wouldn't expect his request to be denied? For what it was worth it however, A quickly decided against it and tossed him the +5 Soul Necklace. "Sure, I can borrow it out." As for who he was giving it to, A didn't really care.

As the necklace was probably wandering places, A received a PM from Sag with EVEN MORE EXPOSITION. So they had one big-bar... that sounded rather neat and maybe A could get something like that in the future too? Regardless, soon after some more action finally happened! A was closing her eyes at the sudden flash of light before she heard Tsukikage crying out to dodge. Not a second to late, the front-liner barely managed to make a relatively quick side-step as she could feel the intensity of the flames barely passing her. Noting the 6 damage Tsukikage took, A made a mental-note that the attack would probably do nothing against her and thus, as hot as it felt, shouldn't even hurt that much.

Regardless, A was excited, finally she could get some partial sweet-revenge, following Tsukikage's lead with a "Let's rock!", the girl quickly took her place in the middle of the group as she charged against the middle not-demon-demon-wolf. "HOOORRRRYYYAAAA!" With much gusto A was, as usual, going for an all-out attack, with her weapon held in both hands this time, she hit the wolf with full force. As the number 12 appeared over the monster. Surprised for a second about the damage she had dealt despite achieving a full-hit ultimately lead to A missing her second attack. "Tzch..." Still, she was now in a relatively good position as long as she made sure to not get pinned down again. And maybe, next time, using Green Ether even just for those partial infused wolves wasn't too bad of an idea.

Soren didn't even need to hear tsukikage, as the very words she spoke, was what he had planned to do all along. "On it." He acknowledged her though, specially after she took a hit, which he personally would rather not have to endure. "Use you as meat shields, and blast their back rows." Pulling out his ether stone as he ran behind the others. Between the ring, the item lent to him by Sagittarius and the stone in his hand, he was starting to feel like he may actually be able to heal for a good amount of damage...the irony of it, was something something Soren couldn't help but smirk about. As soon as he would be in range of a full demon wolf, he would use 'relief'.

Rumeus raised an eyebrow and blinked several times as he received the necklace, forgetting to thank A in his bewilderment. He was expecting something more along the lines of, "Hahah! The great A is a generous god!" or "You dare ask for my possessions?! Away with you!" Unexpectedly, he got a more subdued and seemingly reluctant reaction. At that moment, Rumeus received a PM from Sagittarius. He read through it and closed it, which indirectly reminded him of an important task he had not done yet.

"Change."

Rumeus' Ether color would now change to green. It was a good thing he remembered now, or else he would probably waste Soul on an ineffective Earth Bullet. Rumeus looked once more at the necklace A gave him. From its appearance, it seemed to be the same as the one he was wearing. Still, he had no idea on whether or not it was without equipping it. So he did just that, unequipping his own necklace and replacing it with A's. And like he expected, it was the same. He nodded his head and looked to give away the necklace, but the rest of his party members were already ahead of him in exiting the room.

"Hey, are you guys serious?! Geez..."

Shaking his head, Rumeus checked the chest to see potions still left behind. Rumeus couldn't remember how many potions were originally in the chest at the moment, but he hoped Ova just grabbed a potion like he did instead of waiting for someone to give it. Grumbling, he put the potions and necklace in his knapsack and rushed to catch up with them. Unfortunately, he wouldn't have a chance to give away the necklace, as they were now embroiled in battle. Arriving late, Rumeus surveyed the scene before him just as he heard Tsukikage finish off her last words before attacking.

"-ast up that stunned shitter!"

The drow and the boss wolf hadn't made their appearance yet, and the fires the enemies attacked with were still burning even after they missed their targets. He noted Tsukikage's damage, which was disconcerting considering Grimrock's buff. And her being on fire didn't help ease his worries, along with the door behind them being sealed shut. Rumeus finished his brief survey and fired Earth Bullets towards the stunned wolf, who still wasn't dead after taking Keter's Bolt. He hoped to do some decent damage with his green color.[/fieldbox]

Ova Push Wind (Activation)
35 - 9 Silver Ether Affinity = 26

The wind was conjured, the silvery wind being summoned from around him as it resonated with his Stone.

Fire!
13 - 11 Accuracy = 2

He got the activation right this time, calling forth the Silver Ether to conjure the power of the wind, and this time managed to send it off right, the wind hitting the wolf. Fortunately for both the Wolf and the other Ranged Attackers in the group it managed to keep its ground, its powerful muscles tensing up as it gave a low growl as it just let the wind buffet it, the wolf not budging a single inch.

Earth Bullet I (Green)
13 - 13 Brown Ether Affinity = 0

Green Ether would shine on the ground as the earthen spike was brought up, and then fired towards the wolf as it resonated with his Stone and the Bracelet.

Fire!
36 - 2 Accuracy = 34

Thankfully the enemy was stunned, and thus couldn't really dodge. The green Ether imbued stone slammed into the beast's forehead, and all Rumeus had to do to get a second Green Earth Bullet out was shout 'Change' while using the Art. It seemed Arts did have a few pros over Skills, and vice versa.

Earth Bullet II (Green)
18 - 13 Brown Ether Affinity = 5

Once again the green misty energy pulls up a bit of earth from the cave floor below and fires the projectile straight towards the stunned wolf, this two bullets one right after another thing being incredibly handy, although he now only had 8 Charges left in his bracelet, so he would need to be careful.

Fire!
13 - 2 Accuracy = 11

The second bullet hit the stunned wolf dead on, and made it howl out as it struggled to stay on its knees, but soon fell over, not moving. Whether or not it was dead or unconscious was unclear, but for now at least it was down and out of the fight.

The Semi-Demonic Wolf that A had attacked leaped right for her, attempting to slash at her with its powerful claws, seeming much more vicious than a standard Wolf. The claws slashed into her quite deeply, or they would have. The powerful claws just harmlessly bounced off of the thick sheen of Mystical Armor that A had around her, the wolf snarling now. The other two wolves, who were several yards away from A, proceeded to both head for Tsukikage.

Luckily Tsukikage had readied herself for an attack, executing herself for an immediate counterattack against one of the Semi-Demonic Wolves that came bounding towards her once it got close enough. She first went with a Viper Strike.

Viper Strike
62 - 25 Distance Bonus - 13 Accuracy + 9 Skill Penalty = 33

The strike managed to hit a little deep, dealing 12 Damage to the Wolf as it let out a growl, Tsukikage's second dagger soon coming down to try and bite into the wolf.

Ambidexterity Strike I
14 - 25 Distance Bonus - 13 Accuracy + 25 Ambidexterity Penalty = 1

This strike was much better executed than the previous one, but given the nature of the ability it wasn't nearly as strong, so it only dealt a measly 2 points of Damage. Still, every point of Damage counted, and this was grinding her Sense after all. Still, that was 14 points of Damage done in total at least. Despite the attacks dealing Wounds to these Semi-Demonic Wolves, they didn't seem to be too affected at all, but at least it would make it harder for anything to heal them.

Still, this didn't stop the wolf from attempting to bite at Tsukikage with its own powerful jaws as well. Fortunately Tsukikage would manage to dodge, and could choose to either move away in the process or stay right where she is right next to the Wolf given the great position for movement she dodged into. The other Wolf, however; may change this as one came from her other side and attempted to bite her as well, Tsukikage now being flanked.

Fortunately Tsukikage's pretty quick on her feet, and these wolves seem a small bit slower than the previous wolves, so she would be able to dodge as well, now right next to two Wolves. Whether or not they could Damage her though was still to be determined, since they couldn't Damage A, but Tsukikage did have less defense than A, and was on fire. So it wasn't best to test that.

The now two Demonic Wolves howled once again as another burst of fire shot from each, one heading towards A and another heading right towards Keter. Fortunately Keter would find that the one headed for him simply missed and went to the door behind them to join the other pile of still burning fire.

The one heading towards A, on the other hand, seemed to hit. Unfortunately, despite A's mental note, this fire still did 6 points of Damage to her and hurt like hell as well. So apparently... this fire seemed to be able to ignore all Defenses.

By this five seconds passed, Tsukikage would have taken 3 points of Damage. No Wounds thankfully. Still, now the Group had their chance to launch their own counterattack, knowing now that avoiding those Flames at all costs is highly advised.

As Tsukikage readied her strikes, she took the time to examine the state of the battlefield. The combined efforts of Keter, Rumeus, and Ova had annihilated one of the demonic wolves in the backline, though, at the same time, Keter, for all of his defensive and melee capabilities, was much too slow to catch up to Tsukikage, A, and Soren as the trio rushed up to meet the wolves. Nevertheless, it was good information that was revealed, and the white-haired girl called out, "Backliners have 60 END!"

A's strikes also dealt a substantial amount of damage, while Soren was prepared to do…something. Tsukikage didn't really know what, and she soon didn't care, as two half-demonic wolves launched themselves at her. Timing her strikes to land right as the first beast rushed towards her, she brought a dagger back and thrust out with all her speed.

"Viper Strike!"

A glancing blow off the side of its neck, as 12 damage popped up. She sidestepped its vicious bite, maintaining the distance between the two, and her secondary dagger flew out now, scoring a more accurate hit, yet failing to do more than 2 damage.

The other wolf, flanking her, fangs snapping at thin air as Tsukikage swiftly twirled away. A fireball fell inches away from her, the black flames smashing into A and setting the swordswoman aflame as well. As hellfire wormed its way past the white-haired girl's light armor, she grinned. Only 3 damage. She could manage that. With a quick three-point turn, the girl escaped the flanking maneveur of the two wolves, and her daggers flashed outwards towards the one she had just wounded.

"UWOOOOOO!"

A flurry of five stabs and cuts flashed out at a blinding speed, yet only the first strike found purchase on the furry hide of the gray wolf. It struck deep, a stab that drew out a thick gout of red ether and dealing 20 damage, but the rest were horrid misses, culminating her dagger flying out of her hand as she drew back for a final swing.

The steel blade clattered on the cave floor 15 yards away and Tsukikage winced, before tossing her offhand dagger into her main hand. There was always a silver lining, after all. Now, she had no reason not to start using her charges, and her single dagger damage won't be reduced at all.

"A, it's all yours," Tsukikage said, grinning despite that failure and the neverending agony, "Focus fire on their front line, cause the backline will be killing themselves with their attacks!"

There it was, the ball hit A point-blank, though, instead of her expectations of it literally doing nothing A now burned. "Urgh..." She was burning! It hurt, more than 6 damage should have been, but still less than the first time she got to experience this game's definition of pain. If she was supposed to be the front-liner's other people wished for, but not deserve, then A would literally need to turn into a masochist. Dazed for a second, A was engulfed in a hellish red as Tsukikage spoke up again, and like a fighting dog, blocking out her mental pain A swirled towards the wolf the white-hair had already badly hurt before raising her weapon. "AAAARRRGHHH! I'M BURNING WITH DETERMINATION." With that silly line, A made her supposed-to-be-kinda-heroic-moment just more ridiculous as she outright missed. Both attacks. Just like that... .

At least, the other wolf that she was dealing with earlier used this chance to lunge at A, and as if he had gotten her bad luck too, missed as well. In fact, he actually stumbled in a horrible fashion that made it roll over and fall to the side.È

The one Quick life really was sad, huh? The last fight had involved the enemies running up to them and out of combat it wasn't all too apparent, but his lack of speed was quite clear when he had to close the distance.

Yet another ball of hellfire flew past him, way off its mark, and he looked towards the Wolf that had launched the projectile. Unfortunately it wasn't stunned from any sort of backlash like previously, which meant there was a fair chance he would miss at this range. For all her loudness and determination, A still whiffed with both strikes against the Wolf that Tsukikage had almost put down with her flurry of attacks.

Made it pretty easy for him to pick out his target at the least. He raised his hand towards the semi-demonic Wolf; muttered, "Bolt," and watched as his attack struck the wolf dead on. Collapsing with a loud yelp, it was hard to tell if it was dead or simply unconscious without his Observe, but it was out of the fight.

Bolt Accuracy
41 - 25 Distance Bonus - 11 Accuracy = 5 / Damage: 16

Clyde moved forward, attempting to perform Wind Strike on one of the Semi-Demonic Wolves.

Wind Strike
59 - 9 = 50

Ova conjures and the swift wind, which quickly proceeds to buffet the wolf with the silvery, green energy caused by both his Art and chanting 'Change' to activate the power of the bracelet. Unfortunately perhaps these Semi-Demonic Wolves weren't as weak to Green Ether as originally stated, as while it still did damage, it only did one point. Still, the fact that the wolf couldn't dodge and that this Art would only continue to get stronger, as it leveled up after the usage judging by an alert Ova would receive in the corner of his vision in a very tiny box, it was still a pretty good ability.

Rumeus, in the meantime, would continue to fire Green Earth Bullets towards the Demonic Wolf. He currently had 8 Charges left on his bracelet, so all he had was eight more bullets.

Green Earth Bullet I
0 (Critical!)

Rumeus' stone shone brightly as a much stronger looking bullet of stone that glowed with green ether appeared before him and was fired forward towards one of the wolves in the back line.

Fire!
12 - 2 Accuracy = 10

The bullet slammed into the wolf with ease, making it howl out in pain as the green energy coated bullet of rock tore into the beast, ousting a large portion of blackish-red energy from it. It did 36 points of Damage, which is definitely a plus.

Green Earth Bullet II
11 - 13 Brown Ether Affinity = -2

This bullet he conjured wasn't as strong as the last one, but would still probably either do some good damage or finish off this wolf at least.

Fire!
25 - 2 Accuracy = 23

This bullet didn't hit as dead on, but still hit pretty fully, the wolf collapsing after the bullet collided with it, having been dealt 15 points of damage. This meant there were only three wolves now, one of them being a Demonic Wolf.

The one that Tsukikage had been attacking was down, meaning there were two Semi-Demonic Wolves left. The first one that had fallen over, the one that Ova attacked, proceeded to use its time to get up safely and quickly, while the other one that had yet to be wounded rushed forward towards Ova, who had to move closer.

The wolf's claws shone red for a moment as they then raked across Ova's neck, cutting into it with extreme force as the beast snarled, three large red gashes appearing in Ova's neck as a bright red '42 Critical' appeared above his head, the party able to see this since they were in the same group.

Ova's Endurance would shoot down to -28, and a skull would appear next to his bar, indicating his death as Ova just fell over, the pain only being for a single instant given how strong and quick the blow was. The wolf didn't stop there though, as it proceeded to quickly lunge its head towards the fallen Ova's neck, biting a chunk out of it as it did A.

The wolf's body seemed to glow for a few moments, before it howled out loudly as the blackish, reddish ether covered its form and it seemed to grow a bit bigger. When the ominous energy cleared, another true Demonic Wolf was standing where that Semi-Demonic wolf had just been, this wolf snarling heavily now. There were still three wolves, but now two of them were demonic.

The third wolf ran forward, its legs carrying it forward at a rapid pace as it was proceeding to head for the other Ranged fighters.

However, Soren was ready for this. The moment the wolf got close enough, he chanted 'Relief' and utilized the healing Skill on the wolf. The green ether enveloped the wolf and made it snarl out, a green 24 appearing above the creature's head as a large portion of Red Ether was ousted from the beast. Furthermore it seemed to be slower as it quickly lunged for Rumeus.

Thanks to both how fast Rumeus is and the wolf being weakened by the Healing power of Soren's Skill Rumeus would be able to dodge out of the way of the powerful lunge thankfully, but unfortunately the wolf was still right within biting range of him, which would be a bad range to try and shoot from given that the wolf could probably bite Rumeus before he aimed, unless Rumeus could manage to move away.

Unfortunately one of the players is dead, and given that they still had a timed buff there would be no time to wait for Ova to revive. Furthermore with there still being two Demonic Wolves and one Semi Demonic Wolf things were still pretty bad, and the Buff Timer was still ticking down and A and Tsukikage were still on fire. Tsukikage would take four points of Damage now as it felt like the flames were starting to get stronger while A would take three points, Tsukikage also taking another Wound.

Things looked it was going fairly well. With a lucky critical from Rumeus and a timely blast from Keter, two more wolves fell down, leaving only three more to go. Soren seemed to be biding his time as well, which was mildly annoying given the fact that he could have just healed them, but, well, Tsukikage didn't care. Only the frontliners with the most HP were injured, after all, and, between the two of them, Tsukikage was fairly confident that A and herself could keep the wolves in check.

Then, for whatever reason, one of the wolves broke off from the engagement, her short dagger missing its leg as it ran past her. With a powerful leap, the half-demon wolf tore a pixelated chunk out of Ova, dealing massive amounts of damage and instantly killing the Silver Ether user. The sound of a bloodthirsty howl resounded throughout the large cavern, as the wolf's body changed, morphing into a full demon.

Well, Tsukikage couldn't say she didn't see that coming. Ova only had 14 END anyways, for some silly reason.

The ranged demon wolf rushed down on Rumeus next, but his attacks failed to connect, while Soren's heals did a substantial amount of damage. As chaos ensued, Tsukikage began to prioritize once more. The wolves could land critical strikes, but that didn't mean she was in danger. The fire that continued to roast her was irritating, but her actual END bar, which had accumulated two Wounds from the fire and 13 points of damage, was still relatively healthy.

And so…

"VIPER STRIKE!"

Removing one of the Green Ether Shards from her belt, Tsukikage grasped it in her hands. A cooling sensation bloomed from her hands as emerald light emanated from her blade, before she burst forwards, driving her dagger into the side of the wolf that had just staggered back up. It yelped as a 26 burst from the wound, but it still stood up. 38 points of damage has been inflicted. The next blow will end it. The white-haired girl grinned in response to its growl, pulling out her dagger with a flourish. Her own red eyes flared, as she barked out, "A, go help out Rumeus!"

The fires were still burning. Ova was dead. Wounds were accumulating.

But still, Tsukikage had full confidence in their ability to stabilize.

[BCOLOR=transparent]The thing was that he made an oopsie day before, why did he wind push the wolf? Though seeing it struggling he felt he should continue the assault. And considering A and Tsukikage were putting their best foot forward. He needed to support them as well. Wracking his brain with consideration of what to do next, he'd try the green thing that could work. He was going to take a risk out here, but sometimes fortune favors the bold, right?[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]A decision he made once he recognized A getting hit hard by one of the wolves, they needed to take at least one out to give the party some leeway. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]"I'm going to try and hit it with a wind strike," he called out, stepping forward, he casted the Wind Strike. Only to watch as the attack completely missed the wolf. Shit. What was he suppose to do now? Fortune favors the bold, but he was in a compromisable position right now. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Compromisable it was because on the wolf's turn, the wolf he had tried to attack stepped forward and lunged at him. All he felt was at first was the initial pain of the teeth crunching into his neck, that really hurt. The second was the spinning realization as the screen faded to black. He was dead. Fuck.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]So much for the fortune favoring the bold. Now what did he do? He guess he could sit here and watch the fog. It was kind of mesmerizing, in a my life is so sad I'll wait for a resurrection while watching the darkness swirl around like smoke. [/BCOLOR]

Urgh. For a second A was blaming herself about Ova's sudden death, maybe if she didn't have missed the focus fire could have gone elsewhere? Though, then again dying with +25 armour and the endurance blessing from the well it was kinda hard to do... so maybe Fortuna was just being in a bad mood right now? Considering how her own attacks went that was probably very well the case, if only A had pleased her more. Then again, the blonde was nobody's bitch, not even Tsukikage's, even if the white girl was right. A had to do something or else they would lose another member of the party.

With Ova already dead and that wolf happily evolving to its next level, she closed onto the wolf that was on Rumeus. Pushing the stinging feeling of pain to the back of her mind, A charged forward. This time, no useless words were spoken. This time, no useless motions were taken. A's lively eyes became cold as ice as she pushed her blade forward, only whispering a rather indifferent. "Imbue." Before the blade missed its target yet again.

A wasn't done yet though, without delay she shifted the edge of the outstretched weapon towards the wolf, immediately going for a second attack as another. "Imbue." Left her lips. Despite the weaker force, for the fluff of the attack, it was still a game, and her point-blank attack showed no room for mercy as the shining green blade struck the body of the creature, dealing a total of 27 damage and making it collapse on the spot. A was succesful.

'Damn.' The 20 Attunement Rumeus got for dumping every other stat really showed its worth as one of the Demonic Wolves collapsed due to his paired projectiles. As heartening as it was to see that he could actually do quite a lot, his attention shifted towards the two monsters that beelined for the backliners.

Between the critical and Ova's piddling 14 Endurance, it was hardly a surprise that the other player had died practically instantly when the Wolves arrived. Thankfully, Soren's guess wasn't off the mark and his healing washed away much of the wolf's Endurance bar.

Tsukikage continued to hold the front-line, flashes of steel biting into the wolf before her, while A rushed back to help the two. For a moment Keter considered another Bolt, but the two were too closely engaged for him to get a clear shot. Worst case scenario meant he might actually blast Tsukikage in the back. With a quiet groan as A passed him, he charged ahead to take the better-armored girl's place.

The wolf only just managed to notice Keter as his fist closed in to strike at its side. Still, that was apparently enough for it to twist aside slightly, even with the pressure from Tsukikage, and Keter felt his fist hit a solid layer of muscle. Not completely useless, but definitely less damage than he would have liked. A quick follow-up nonetheless failed as the monster backed off quickly to evade and open up the distance. "Well fuck." Ignoring the ping, he readied himself to receive the monster's counterattack.
Punch 1
25 - 13 Accuracy - 10 Flanking Bonus + 25 Distance Penalty = 27 / Damage: 8
Punch 2
76 - 25 Distance Bonus - 10 Flanking Bonus - 13 Accuracy Bonus + 20 Full Attack Penalty = 48 / Miss!

"Both damaging and slowing, as planned." Soren was rather pleased with his work, as it made it even easier for the swift Rumeus to avoid taking damage by the beast. It was only then that Soren noticed the other problem which had risen. Ova was dead, and one of the semi-demonic wolves had gone full demon due to this. Really? Soren pointed to Ova, "That one's not my fault!" He was fulling accepting that 'A's untimely death was on him for holding back, but Ova, well, Ova didn't have much health to begin with and got insta-killed with one shot it seemed. Not even knocked out, simply killed in one go.

Well, gather your thoughts, do you continue to fight with healing magic, or do you actually heal, think carefully yet fast. He glanced at the front liners trying to gauge how much they could take in a worst case scenario. A crit could do a bunch of damage. "Okay." He spoke aloud, Next time a front liner gets hit, I'll heal them, or if Rumeus gets hit, as he has lower End.

Then moving into position, he decided that it was best to try and keep things moving slowly, "Relief." Soren targeted the remaining demon wolf, "Got to love how heals auto hit."

Rumeus would see a small +2 on an icon that looked like a small little figure moving next to his health bar as he chanted 'Dodge', signifying the activation of his Skill as his body was momentarily covered in a sea green light. After that, he would quickly get out of the way of the wolf, guarding himself as he escaped by taking the time to move away as safely and efficiently as he could. A then took the opportunity as Rumeus escaped to move in and finish off the Demonic Wolf by unfortunately wasting one Imbued slash, but getting the beast on the second.

This left two wolves as Soren would charge forward now, heading towards the newly transformed Demonic Wolf. Once he was close enough, he then utilized his "Relief" Skill, chanting out the name of it as his Ether Stone, Ring, and Amulet all shone with a green light as the wolf was enveloped in the healing power, a green 24 appearing above its head as a good bit of its blackish reddish essence was ousted from its being by the healing power.

The wolf snarls at Soren, before letting off a mighty howl as it shot a flaming sphere from its mighty maw towards the Healer. Fortunately, possibly due to poor aiming on the wolf's part, Soren would be able to just barely dodge out of the way in time as the blackish-reddish flame landed near the other still burning fires.

The other Semi-Demonic Wolf would howl out as Wrath Ether poured from its body to the area above it, before going to the Demonic Wolf, its body glowing for a moment before it snarled now, the Semi-Demonic Wolf collapsing now, possibly having sacrificed its remaining health to either heal or empower the remaining Demonic Wolf, as the remaining Demonic Wolf seemed to no longer look a bit weakened by Soren having 'healed' it.

Now there is one Demonic Wolf left. A would receive 4 Damage and take another Wound, while Tsukikage would get hit for 5 Damage, but no more Wounds thankfully.

Suddenly though the room begins to fill with a fierce aura, as if the entire room is being enveloped in an immense blood thirst. The entire room is then covered in a blackish, reddish tint as a magical circle of the same color appears beneath the remaining wolf. It howls out a mighty howl as the Wrath Ether filling the room begins to converge, coming from the room itself, the bodies of the collapsed wolves, the multiple fires that were in the room. A message did appear before the players though, signifying the end of one encounter at least.
Fighting these tough opponents has made you stronger, despite the copious amounts of help you received. +2 EXP.

"I have to both congratulate and thank all of you." A voice echoes through the room as the Wrath Ether continues to converge upon the Wolf, the surging power preventing any of the Players from getting close, not that getting close was probably a good idea. It felt like just getting close to it would tear them apart.

"You managed to survive against the Wolves in two separate battles. I am not mad that you killed the Wolves though. Quite the opposite. Thanks to all of the fighting and killing, you have given me a greater supply of stronger Wrath Ether to work with for this... experiment."

Suddenly the Magic Circle expands, covering the entire room now. The Wounds that had been dealt to Tsukikage, A, Ova seemed to vanish, although it felt as though the Wounds were being more or less wrenched from their body. In fact, the process wasn't painless, and it dealt Tsukikage and A a total of 4 Endurance Damage for each Wound taken away. At least it took away the Wounds though. The bodies of the wolves vanish as well, as does the remaining wolf as it just turns into a swirling orb of Wrath Ether that begins to slowly compress.

"So with that in mind, I think this time we'll go for straight up Quality, rather than both Quantity and Quality." The owner of the voice appears from the door in the back of the room as a glowing red wall separates the half of the room that the players are on from the half of the room this new person is on. Walking in next to this new person is a very familiar Alpha Wolf. Floating around him are two blackish-red orbs, the one that came from this room moving over to the Devil as he waves his hand.

The man stands around 5'6" or so, about an average height. His ears are pointed, but rather than diagonal and upwards, they are pointed more out to the side in an 'anime' elf fashion. On the top of his head are two curved horns, with a long black tail being able to be seen moving back and forth behind him. Rather than a Drow or Dark Elf of some kind, this figure wearing dark robes looks more like a Devil given his fangs as he speaks or his blackened eyes, long claw like nails present on each of his fingers.

Above his right hand swirl the three orbs of Wrath Ether, each pulsating with blood-lust. In the other hand there is a black rod, and at the end of this rod a stone rests, glowing and shimmering a bright light blue.

"I trust the two of you have met" speaks the apparent Devil as he gestures to the Alpha Wolf, who is growling a low growl at the group, its eyes glowing red. "I would like to apologize though, as the Drow you are seeking is not here. She (Japanese do not have Gender pronouns) is elsewhere." He just smirks a little, shaking his head. "So I apologize if I disappoint you, but I will do my best to be your opponent instead." With this he gives a graceful bow in more of a western gentlemanly way, with his arm crossing his stomach in a graceful sweeping fashion.

"Of course, perhaps you all would like a proposition instead. As much as I would love to gather more Wrath Ether from your fight with this here Wolf to utilize, why not just leave? I mean, you all are only here for a reward right? Why risk your lives for that, when I could give you the treasure you seek. All you need to do is just leave, and I will make sure that the room you came from is one filled with some nice rewards for the each of you. That is option 1."

He swirls the three orbs above his hand, before putting the hand right above the Wolf. "Option 2..." he begins, before he chants something in a dark language the players cannot understand. Probably some in game fantasy demon language of some kind. Impossible for any of the players to tell. Perhaps there is a Language Comprehension Sense.

While the players do not know what he actually says, once he says it a red magical circle appears beneath the wolf and the three orbs are merged into its being. Suddenly the wolf's entire body is enveloped in glowing dark Wrath Ether as it growls, snarls, and then lets out a ferocious howl before after a full ten seconds have passed. This was all ticking down the Buff Timer, already by the time the ten seconds passed there only being around 4 minutes and 55 seconds remaining.

Once the Ether cleared, the Wolf standing before them looked a good bit different. It was at a good bit bigger than before, probably a good five feet or so tall, its fangs looking very sharp as it growled, and its eyes were giving off a very ferocious, blackish reddish glow. Dark red flames were licking at the wolf's claws now as it just looks ready to start tearing into people.

"Is to fight this Dire Demonic Alpha Wolf and keep proceeding with your "Quest", while at the same time being a huge help to my Experiments. I am sure you all will be able to handle it. Ill even give you all a little bit to prepare or decide on your answer. You better hurry though, as I am sure that Armor that Grimrock gave you is slowly running out now, even as we speak. I have to give that man some credit. His magic is immensely powerful, much moreso than mine, but I did just reincarnate, so what can you do? So the longer you take, the less time you'll have to use that powerful armor. "

Indeed. The Party now had a choice, and only Four Minutes and 45 Seconds and counting to make that choice. Fight the Devil and this Dire Wolf, or accept his 'Reward' and leave, although having to come up with an appropriate lie as to why they couldn't find anything would be difficult, since they would have to be lying to two elite players.

Despite their losses, the battle was winding down now, the party finishing off what remained of the monsters that stood before them. One demonic wolf was cut down by A, another was blasted by Soren's healing abilities, and the third was suckerpunched by Keter. Tsukikage readied her dagger, prepared to finish it.

Except it wasn't finished. Indeed, it turned out that the battle was just beginning.

A burst of Wrath Ether, a malevolent voice, and the transformation of the final, standing wolf. The expansion of the magical circle took the white-haired girl by surprise, a gut-wrenching sensation causing her to stumble, clutching her body. The wounds disappeared, but the damage that it did now dropped her down to only 30 END. She narrowed her eyes, drew out two of her Fatigue Brews, and drank both of them. The glass bottles shattered as she tossed them to the side, feeling a pleasantly spicy aftertaste, and a warm sensation growing through her body.

The entrance of their target was, despite its dramatic effect, lost on Tsukikage, who had more important things to take care of. Slipping over to where her fallen dagger was, the girl picked it up once more, storing the Green Ether Shard in her pack while she did so. The final boss wielded a staff, most likely a focus for his Ether abilities, and, like all the people she's met today, seemed to love giving out long speeches.

Honestly, if it wasn't for the fact that there was another fucking magical wall in the way, Soren should have been healing the fuck out of that pretentious demon shit.

Nevertheless, she didn't have much time to waste, what with their Mystic Armor buff now past the halfway mark. While the dude droned on and on and fucking on, Tsukikage dashed to the body of Ova next. Rifling through his pack, she withdrew his two Soul Potions, grimaced at the sight of the Blessing Vial that he clearly didn't take, and then pulled off the Color Change Bracelet around his wrist.

"Rumeus, catch." An underhanded throw towards the Earth shard mage, the barely used bracelet spinning around in the air.

"Soren, top yourself off and get ready to focus some healing on A." A quick step to get up before the turquoise-haired healer, before she dropped Ova's two Soul pots into his hands.

Her two daggers were in her hands once more. She was more or less ready for more action. She was getting so much EXP from this.

And in the beginning stages of any game, what was required was not good equipment, but EXP to grow your character's skills.

Four minutes and forty-five seconds. The previous fight took only 15 seconds. They can do this.

"This is a dungeon. You're the final boss, so I'll kill you and take the Rewards afterwards."

It's also nice to have Sagitarius owe her. After all, unlike this pretentious bag of EXP, Sagitarius actually has connections.

No thank you, Soren narrowly avoided taking a blast of flames from the demonic wolf which he had just hit with his spell. This one should be almost done, and the other wolf is doing a thing that now has it on the ground, giving its...oh...it did a thing. Soren looked from one wolf to the other, noticing the demonic one seemingly recovering from Soren's attack by having the other wolf off itself.

An unfamiliar voice started to speak, and soon, with more than familiar monster by its side, the real threat arrived. He was not exactly what Soren was expecting, with all the talk of a drow and such. This more demonic looking figure went on talking about his 'experiment', Soren hanging on to every word. "I can understand the need for live subjects for testing." nodding, He doesn't seem like he is really a bad guy, he is just pushing the limits of a few things, nothing wrong wit-

Before he could finish his thought, Tsukikage had tossed him some potions, and issued a command to heal A. Looking at Tsukikage, and hearing her words, it was clear what the party was likely to do, and what he should do. Soren gave a discrete nod. "I mean, we could at least hear out what he is offering." Soren casually walked over to A, patting her on the back while using his art of soothing touch, with his ether stone tightly clenched in his other hand "I mean, if he is offering the loot, it means that he has it either in here or on his person." Popping open the blue potion, Soren downed it in a swift gulp, the liquid sensation going all the way down, he brushed his hand past his lips to wipe them, "I do like knowing what treasure I can find after a boss fight." Downing the second bottle, Soren's gaze never shifted off of the man.

[BCOLOR=transparent]Akito let out a deep breath before sitting back looking at the death screen one more time, the swirling fog of shadows. There wasn't much he could do in the way of death right now and he had to stop blaming others for his mistake. The mistake came in the way he had built Ova and he was staring at Ova's corpse because he was too stubborn to take a bit more time on his character. He knew that now, a realization he should have made earlier instead of being an asshole about it. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]He was still deeply guilty about the way it came out, he wondered if this game had one of those releveler stones, something that allowed him to change his stats or else the better decision was to completely retcon and abandoned the build entirely. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Taking off the visor he figured he had been glued to the computer long enough, he had spent most of his earlier morning playing [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent]Time Wake[/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent] till 4 in the morning, only to wake up four hours from that and booted up Soul Bound. Perhaps that was more of the lesson here, do not build your character when you only have had four hours of sleep.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]He tried to rub the eye strain out with his fingers for a second and leaned back closing his eyes with a slight hum. Only to slowly open them again to reveal the reality of his real world, a studio apartment, with a bed in the middle of the living room. The television was staring at him blankly rarely used by him and he questioned why he even had that thing. He should take this moment as a breather he supposed, it was starting to hit how tired he really was.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Though he liked to deny or justify why it didn't matter, telling himself that he needed to stay to reset his cycle. He shouldn't have stayed up so late, he knew this already though he decided he'd go for a liquid wake up potion rather than hitting sleep. Maneuvering himself to sit at the edge of the bed, he sat down his desktop replacement onto the bedsheets and position himself. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Slowly transitioning himself from the bed to the chair, the whole process took a lot more twiddling and fucking around than most would presume till here he was sitting in his towering walls he called an apartment. The floor was hardwood that moaned no matter what kind of pressure you put onto it, it was the kind of hardwood floor that would be annoying at night as someone was trying to sneak around not trying to wake up the individual in the middle of the living room. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]His kitchen was a disaster of cups he couldn't tell were clean or dirty and settled with washing one that seemed surprisingly clean, he set his coffee pot to go and decided he was going to have a cup of soup. Though to be fair he didn't feel like eating, there was a kind of noise in the back of his thoughts. Noise was the best way he could describe it, it was the kind of noise that he could only describe made him worried. Or gave him worry.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]It seemed silly, maybe ridiculously that someone like him, a grown man, sat in his narrow, rectangle kitchen was anxious about a video game. Not even real life, but a video game his priorities were all screwed up he was startled by the sudden vibration of his phone. Another missed call, perhaps it was a telemarketer or perhaps it was another person trying to convince himself out of the shallow grave he created from worrisome thoughts.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Or maybe he was anxious, moody, and temperamental because he was tired. The kind of tired where he wanted to curl up in a corner somewhere and not exist for 11 hours.. Either way though he put a kettle on the stove, would wait for it to boil, and hopefully he'd make it time before his party decided they should revive him. He really should fix his character's build or this was going to continue happening, you don't try to go climbing up an icy mountain without the proper shoes. Though he had tried to do so and expected great results. He was an idiot sometimes, an idiot who took out his frustrations of himself on others, which he had hoped didn't harm him too much in this game. He didn't want to come out of this, with the reputation of, that guy.[/BCOLOR]

Hah! They won, and just got another meager 2 experience. Despite some of the enemies still being up, stuff happened. She could feel the tension in the air, this was awesome! Was now the big-bad appearing or something? Would they have some epic boss battle? A couldn't wait to get her sweet sweet revenge and show this wolf-summoner-demon-person how it felt to get bitten and torn to shreds! "Come out already!" A complained as he kept talking and talking. God, as cool as it may be, this was nearly like some Sagitarius-level bullshit. Maybe she would have cared more if she was able to do wrath-stuff herself. But like that? No way!

As their supposed-to-be-enemy finally made his appearance, A was disappointed. She couldn't quite tell why. After all this she just...expected more? After all, he even had horns! Fucking horns! Goddamnit, what a waste. Regardless, he continued talking, in fact, he was actually a player! Well, it wasn't like A did not expect a player in this dungeon, but nobody ever said 100% that the creator of this demon puppies was a drow, so no surprise there... and neither were they looking for one. As he finally finished his proposition, A didn't even need long to think.

Pointing her weapon at him she proclaimed loud. "I couldn't care less about lying to somebody! Sooner or later they, too, will bow before me! I also don't care about your experiments! You can colour your puppies like the entire fucking rainbow and I'd just beat the fuck out of them! Speaking of which, what I do care about is paying you back for all that pain! Are games even supposed to hurt? That's no fun! I am not a goddamn masochist. I'll make sure to share that feeling of getting eaten alive with you! So stop hiding behind your pets and waste everbody's time and be a man!" Yeah, talking to people like that made A feel really good.
