I don't normally announce interest in a RP in a thread (I like PMing the GM instead because of reasons) but I'm announcing it here. One, because you only seem to have Raven and yourself as tentative participants in a (what seems to me) promising RP; from my limited experience of this site so far, I see people expressing interest rather quickly, but for this RP it's been like 4 days and nobody else has replied. Two, because it might lead others that are thinking about participating actually cross the fence and join.

I've only done a quick skim of the RP info, but I think I'll look into it more in-depth and put in a proper CS if we hit the desired number of players that you stated (4-6). So I guess that makes me #3.

EDIT: And wow, it's insane how many views this topic has compared to the replies its gotten. I can see why you think it's glitched. Maybe this thing popped up in a popular google search result somehow? Crazy.

    Shiro is incredibly short, clocking in at only 5'1" and about 45 kilos. Due to spending alot of time inside or away from the sun, her skin is quite pale, but other than that and the constant bags beneath her eyes from staying up late constantly she looks extremely plain and average. Her hair is black and a bit frizzy, extending to just below her shoulders.

    Her body is no different. She's not especially attractive nor is she ugly. She's just very plain. Any clothes she wears just happens to sit awkwardly on her averagely skinny frame. Her eyes, like most Japanese, are blue and her usual attire is something simple like a plain t-shirt and a simple skirt or pair of jeans. Sometimes the t-shirt might have some novelty picture or anime design on it, but mostly her appearance is just very average.


    Shiro is incredibly awkward. Its not that she is shy, but a lack of social skills make it hard for her to talk to people. A lack of confidence is what makes it hard for her to want to talk to people since she is afraid of making a bad impression. She doesn't hate people and wouldn't mind having friends, but she just doesn't know how to make friends outside of games or in real life.

    Other than that, she is pretty average. She is not heroic or cowardly, hot or cool headed, extroverted or introverted. She is just an average girl living in her average home. She often calls herself the 'Queen of Average' or thinks her parents named her Shiro just because she is as blank and average as the color white. A blank sheet of paper with nothing special on it.


    Her childhood was great. She was extremely popular with everyone in her elementary school, and that was because she knew how to impress the kids in her school in a small town in Hokkaido. Thanks to her father working in the city, when he came back he brought with him games, cards, and other such things that he would give to Shiro.

    As such, Shiro knew alot about these things that small town kids wouldn't have much access to. Her gaming knowledge and prowess impressed the other kids and allowed her to make several good friends. So her lower grade school years were excellent. Unfortunately, as all stories go, this wasn't bound to last forever.

    Thanks to her father's job, her family had to leave the small town and move to New Osaka. There is when she went to Middle School and things had changed alot. People's interests were different now, so instead of her hobbies being looked on as impressive, she learned quickly from overhearing other students that such things creeped them out or were meant for kids.

    The one method she had to make friends at school was crushed and, unfortunately, in Middle School everyone makes their groups of friends rather quickly. This meant that Shiro through Middle School was alone. She still played games and made good grades, not good enough to be at the top of her class, but good enough nonetheless to make it up in the top ten at least, enough to impress her parents and ensure that later on she got into a good high school.

    She graduated from High school when she was just 13, her birthday coming later in the year so she was always younger than everyone else in her class. That year, however; for her birthday that was coming up her dad got her a Synchro Gear and managed to secure a Pre-Order copy of The New Gate.

    Since she was younger than everyone else in her class, she figured that if she could tell everyone in it that she played The New Gate, which alot of people in her class were hyping over, she could make friends. She could make things how they used to be and perhaps stop being so awkward.

    That was the opposite of what happened, as Shiro became one of the 10,000 players who was trapped in The New Gate for three years. So when she was Seventeen years old, she was finally released when the game had finally been beaten.

    Just like many others, she went to a special school meant for kids her age who had been trapped in the game, and even there she wasn't able to many friends. She did have a few people she talked to, which was better than what she had before in Middle school. Unfortunately these weren't people she stayed in full personal contact with and those friendships ended.

    Now, two years later, at 18 years old Shiro had decided she would stick to making friends online, since that seemed to work before. With Soul-Bound Online, as she did get to play the Beta, she figured she could make friends with people in that game that she could meet in real life like she did with The New Gate, only this time she figured that the friendships would be better since the threat of death wasn't all around.

    So now at 19 years old, Shiro has been playing Soul Bound Online and is in college, seeking to become a computer programmer. Her parents had wanted her to marry a rich doctor or get a better profession, but her grades were quite good and there was money to be made in the technology business, so they did approve. She hasn't made any IRL friends yet in Soul Bound Online so far, but continues to enjoy the game and enjoy the times she has played with others.

    So things are just going pretty average for Shiro.

    Shiroi Sora

    Unlike her real self, Shiroi stands at about 5'5" and, like all Fae, she has long ears that are pointed sideways in the fashion of most faeries or 'anime style' elves. Her face does have a couple of silver markings upon her cheeks. She has whitish-blueish hair that resembles the blue sky dotted with clouds and while one of her eyes is a silvery blue like most Fae, her other eye looks like it is a crystal rather than an actual eye, as a side affect of the Magi Crystal.

    She is well aware that Shiroi looks much better than her normal self in real life, but she didn't spend too much time on making an appearance since appearance can change with each Reincarnation. Instead she went for just creating a strong character instead.

    When wearing the Circlet of Disguise her hair still extends to just below her neck, but it is raven black and both of her eyes are a bright green. Furthermore, since the Circlet makes her appear like a human, her ears are rounded like a human's. Other than those features, the Circlet doesn't change any other aspect of her appearance.

    Due to being average in real life, she tries to be extraordinary in the game world. As such, she looks for a unique play style that allows her to stand out without having to bear the burden of being a leader. While much more confident here than in the real world, she still doesn't have enough confidence to actually lead.

    This is why she sticks to support or secondary damage dealing styles that let her still stand out and be in the action without stealing all of the spotlight or glory.

    Also in the Game World she actually knows how to talk to people, but more about the game itself than actual conversation topics, so she can still be a small bit awkward when it comes to those. She knows that there is a line between reality and the game and treats this as a cool hobby or way to gain experience with game design, as such while she is pretty skilled, she doesn't put 1000% into the game.

    Other than that, she is still pretty average.

    Utilizing your Crystal Magic you can make Magic Stones. This is a long, arduous process since you are crystallizing pure magical energy. This special, but very time consuming process allows you to manually create Mana/Magic Shards, Stones, Gems, and Crystals; something that would normally require costly magical materials. You can create Mana Shards, and Spell Shards.

    The DL for Mana Shards is 80 and for Spell Shards it's the Spell's DL + 10. The Shards will have 10 + 50% SR Mana. For Spell Shards they will only have (25 + 25% SR) % strength of the original spell. If the Spell uses less MP than the Shard has, then this % is increased by 1 for every 5 points of Mana the Shard has above the Spell. Your Spell Shards have one use, two if you get a Critical.

    Cooldown (Rank 7, Level 1: 0%)
    Requirements: Magic Gun Expertise, Magic Power, Word Magic
    Arts DL (Spell Writing): 60
    Cost: 25 (–6 MP)
    Utilizing your Magic, you can use this special Magic Word meant for Magic Gun Users to automatically make any Magic Gun cooldown, so instead of needing to wait a good bit of time between shots for your gun to cool down completely, you only need to use a couple of seconds. This will also recharge your Gun's ammunition if using a Mana Stone, Gem, or Crystal, recharging an amount of said ammunition's Mana by an amount equal to 50% SR.

    You know enough about magical words, runes, and practices to be able to write out magical formula that are capable of creating unique and magical affects when power is poured into what they are inscribed into. This does take a lot of time, creating a Spell taking an entire hour and a number of pages in a tome equal to 11 – its Rank. If you wrote the Spell correctly, then you can cast it as long as you are carrying whatever you wrote it upon, although this does take time based on its Casting Time. The strength of the Spell is dependent upon 50% of the SR.

    Arts DL: DL of Spell – 20
    Cost: Special (-6)
    When Casting a Spell, you can utilize the power of your Magi Crystal to augment the Spell's strength. This increases the Mana Cost of the Spell by 100%, but increases the Spell's strength by a % amount equal to 50% SR. This can also be used to augment Spells within Spell Shards. The amount of Mana this Art will cost when augmenting Spells within a Spell Shard is equal to 100% of the Shard's Mana.

  • Your Soul, which has been through much magical transformation, has now become the equivalent of a Magic Crystal, now being metaphysically crystallized and thus you have become a Crystal Magi. As such, your Soul which now so easily exuded Mana and could only utilize Soul Runes can now much more easily store magic as a Magic Crystal could. Furthermore it can be refined in the same manner a Magic Crystal can be.

    You can no longer acquire Skills nor can you equip Soul Runes. Instead you can store fully created Spells within your magical crystal of a Soul. This means that, with enough time, you can freely customize what exact Skills you have at the moment, giving you more freedom based upon the types of Spells you know how to create. So rather than needing a Tome or storing Spells as Skills that can only be used so many times, these can be used again and again, utilizing your Mana.

    The number of Spells you can store is based on your Crystalline Score. This score works in the same way that Register does with Skills, except it also has one other key purpose. So the Rank of the Spell will be how much Crystalline a Spell uses up. All Spells stored in your Magic Crystal have their SR increased by 50% of your Crystalline Score.

    Furthermore, you can utilize magic and other such things to imbue your Magi Crystal with special qualities as you can do with other crystals. This can allow you to acquire passive bonuses and benefits that can be changed or strengthened as you please. Of course, the amount of refinement you can perform is based on your Crystalline Score.

    Finally, as a Crystal Magi, you can now utilize Crystal Magic, which allows you to completely control and focus Magic Power and control it in a crystallized form. This lets you crystallize your magic to make its metaphysical form also physical, which can open many new abilities for both utilizing magic in and out of combat, even in crafting purposes.

    +5 Magic, +10 Mana, +5 Protection, +10 Recovery, Magic is 10% stronger, and Magic costs 5 MP less.
    You spend 1 EXP on all Magic Arts, Skills, Senses, and Traits.
    Attunement is replaced by Magic and Soul is replaced by Mana. You cannot use Ether/Spiritual Arts/Skills/Senses.
    Your Magic Stat has the same affects as the Magic Score once did, which includes being able to learn Magic.
    Acquire the Crystal Magic Sense for free if you do not have it or anything applicable.
    Recovery's Base Value is now 1/3 Magic + ¼ Crystalline


    The power to resist damage from your spirit has been woven into your very form and existence thanks to your magical soul. As such, you now have the Protection Score, which acts as both Resilience and Resistance when it comes to resisting damage, reducing all forms of damage.

    The only downside is that anything that would affect either of those two individually affects your Protection. Since your Protection is magical, anything that affects magical protection affects your Protection Score. You get +5 Protection and +10 Endurance.


    You have been through many trials and tribulations and have managed to go through 10 distinct True Reincarnations. This has ultimately made your entire existence stronger. Starting value of all of your Stats is now 5 and for Endurance its 20. Furthermore, the Free Art you start with can be Rank 9 and you can purchase two Senses from your previous Reincarnation for 1 EXP less, but they will start off at Level 1.


    You have reached the pinnacle of your humanity, becoming a fully-fledged human being. As such your own strengths as a human are stronger than the strengths of others.
    +2 Cunning, +1 to all other Main Stats, earn EXP 10% faster, +10 Endurance
    If you choose to be Human, then you gain EXP 20% faster and you start off with 5 more EXP.


    You are one of the Fae or have been one, beings who have an incredibly strong connection to Mana and are considered to be Mana Spirits. As such, your own magical prowess is stronger than others, even if your body is weaker and you have a lower resistance to Ether due to your weaker bond to the natural world that you possess than the other Races.

    This Spell conjures a barrier deflects physical force away from the target's body. This barrier reduces all Physical Damage dealt by 25%. Furthermore, it also negates Wounds. This barrier will last until dispelled, another is cast over the target, or until 5 Wounds have been dealt to the barrier.

    Repulse Barrier (Rank 8)
    Mana Cost: 25 Mana
    Casting Time: 3 Seconds (1 Action)
    Casting DL: 75
    This Spell conjures a barrier that will repulse back any foe that strikes it. Upon attacking this barrier with a Melee Attack, the foe is hit with a Knock-Back affect that has a Might of 25. This does not actually deflect or reduce damage, but rather simply knocks back enemies. This barrier will last until dispelled or another one is cast over the target.


    Tome of Magic Arrow Barrage (Runic)
    A Tome with the spell Magic Arrow Barrage inscribed into it, as well as a number of augments and commands for this Spell that let you further control and enhance its execution in varying specific ways.
    Augment Magic Rune: Magic Strength increased by 10%.
    Mana Reduction Rune: Reduces Mana Costs by 10.

    Tome of Glyphs (Runic)
    A Tome with 5 Glyph Spells inscribed within it. These are Glyph of Repulsion, Glyph of Binding, Glyph of Silence, Glyph of Magic Attraction, and Glyph of the Circle's Wrath.
    Glyph Magic Boost Rune: Increases strength of Glyphs by 20%.


    Crystal Magi Pistol with Charged Shot (Rank 7, Magic Gun, Runic)
    Reborn in its own way, this Magic Gun can now draw Mana from your Magi Crystal. You can load Spell or Mana Crystals into the chamber in its grip, but you can also draw Mana from your Mana Crystal for its Mana Shots. This Magic Gun also has the Charged Shot function, which is used by holding down the trigger.

    For every 3 Seconds (Action) spent charging will increase the Max Damage of the Mana/Magic Shots by 10 but the MP Cost by 50%. Firing at any time has a chance for the gun to malfunction. If you fire during a Cooldown the Cooldown is increased again and the Malfunction Chance goes up by 10%.

    You can fire a Magic Shot by utilizing an Art/Skill with this Gun in the same manner you would fire a Mana Shot. This does increase the Arts DL by 10 and increases its Mana Cost by 10. Magic Shots can only be fired if the Art/Skill being used is a Projectile. Can also use Charge Shot to enhance their Damage.

    Spell Shots
    Reduces Spell's Mana Cost by 50% // Cooldown: 25 Seconds // 5 Uses/Crystal
    You fire out the Spell in a magical burst, this Gun able to focus the Spell Crystal's Magic and get more usages out of it. For Projectile Spells, then you are simply firing the spell from your Gun, utilizing your Magic Gun Accuracy for the Spell's Accuracy if applicable.

    For other such Spells that aren't projectiles, but still can target enemies, are treated as Mana Shots that, upon hitting the target, deal not only the damage of the Mana Shot, but affect the target with a Spell. Great for delivering debilitation affects and dealing some damage at the same time.

    You can also target friendly allies with certain Spells as well. Friendly Spells don't deal damaging shots, but will still act as a small shot of Mana that, as long as you hit the target, will deliver the friendly spell, great for delivering more powerful buff spells that would have smaller ranges to distant allies.

    You can fire Charge Shots with Spells. For every 3 seconds (Action) spent charging, you the Spell's strength is increased by 5%, but the MP Cost is increased by 25%.


    Blood-Soul Seed: A seed from the Blood-Soul Tree. Is used to make the Blood-Soul Elixir that strengthens your soul's bond to your current blood.

Things are meant to have an order, and as long as things are within a given boundary of order, they are alright in Abel's books. When things do not go as planned, he doesn't panic, he simply steps back, thinks of a new plan, and acts. Reckless actions tend to get on his nerves, and after a while he will show his bad side, though it usually involves "random" technological problems appearing in ones life.

Not generally a people person, he would rather send a message then speak in person, he is very logical and likes to get things done. He tries to understand things that don't follow his trend of thinking, but usually gives up on them eventually.

History
Hailing from the country of Rusanada, Abel moved to Japerica with his parents at a young age. He never truly felt like he fit in, or the need to fit in. Thankfully though, due to some strings being pulled, along with his adept programming skills, he is a freelance programmer and he doesn't have to leave his "home" very often. The place he calls home, is an apartment above a florist shop that friends of his parents own.

His programming business started to take off at a young age, with the steady climb in technology, he never found himself short on work. Though after the incident, involving digital terrorism, he has had a lot of trust issues on whom he works for and with.

Also, remember that you guys CAN use your EXP to Level your Senses, Skills, and Arts at Character Creation if you want to (but agian, you don't have to).

So I'm assuming Omnial isn't your skype friend? If he isn't, then do you know what sort of character your friend is going to play? Like a mage type, brawler, thief, etc. Also do you know what sort of personality his character is going to have? I ask these things because I don't want to have a character that's basically the same as another. It's rare but it has happened before. I'd also like to ask you the same questions.

Also when do you plan on starting the IC?
 
Ominal is my Skype friend. He told me he plans on playing a more Alchemy themed character, with what I assume shall be some Green Ether abilities for more healing capabilities.

As for myself, I am going more Magic than Ether. (Ether is considered Spiritual, Magic is well... Magical). My character will be just a mage with a few... differentiations... here and there.

Of course, you guys aren't actually going to be meeting my character for a little bit. But you will be meeting them somewhat early on, but not right at the beginning.

I mean, you can still make a mage type or make a Character who still knows magic. This game doesn't have classes, so you can build your character as you please.

Plus you could always go Ether if you want mystical abilities. My character isn't going to use Ether, just Magic.

It looks good from my first reading of it, but I am on my phone and not my comp, so I will take a closer look when I get home. But yea, earth bullet is fine, and I will add in the details for Observe and the Brown Ether Stone once I get home.

It looks good, except you only pay 1 EXP per Score increase, so you still have 5 EXP left over.

Also you still get one more Free Art since Earth Bullet is the Art you got from Brown Ether Affinity.

Alright. I did a look over it again and realized there might be some possible errors. If I read the intro post correctly, it costs 2 EXP to raise a stat by one point for levels lower than 10 right? So if I wanted to raise Cunning to 10, it would be (1+9)=10 so 18 EXP total used (because 9x2=18), right? Or am I reading something wrong? If it does cost 18 EXP there might need to be changes made to everyone's characters (just from a quick glance it seems that we will all exceed 100 if it's the case).

Also, if I get a free art can I use that for 2 EXP instead?
 
At Character Creation it costs 1 + 10% of that Main Stat's Value to raise it up by 1.

So from raising it from 2 - 9 it costs 8 EXP.

Raising it to 10 costs 2 EXP.

So from 1 - 10 it costs 10 EXP.

Then if you wanted to raise it higher than that it costs 2 EXP per point, so from 11 - 19 would be 2 points, then raising it to 20 would be 3.

This is just at Character Creation though, and once the game starts these amounts go back up by 1 point.
