Hoban made his was across the ship, ducking under one of the lower archways, and sat back into the pilot's seat. His fingers caressed each and every switch and button as if it were his lover's cheek, before finally inputting a location into the ship's computer-- Auric Enterprises HQ
"Oh, one more thing before we leave, Jack" Hoban sighed, still getting used to the new name the Crichton was having thrust upon him
"Our little friend should be all charged up sooner or later- you can try talking to her through one of the terminals inside the ships lounge room" It would be far better her commnitcating with her pal than wrecking his new ride :/
With a double tap of a button, the speaker system was back in his control, his words being broad-casted across the Falcon
"Alright then, ladies and gentlemen- hold on tight and prepare for hyperdrive!"
He trusted his palm forward, pushing the hyperdrive lever forward as far as he could. At the very moment the stars around them seemed to fade like water color, bleeding into the blackness of space at they traveled on the verge of lightspeed- it would be harder for remaining Novas to track the stolen ship if they remained at such speeds whenever possible
After 2 or 3 minutes in their accelerated state, Washburne eased the Old Girl to a halt. There they were, inches away from the atmosphere of one of the strangest planets in the galaxy- Nar Shaddaa- home of the worlds vilest and weirdest gangsters
It was also the current residence of Auric Goldfinger, according to the majority of the newsfeeds.
"Our sources say that Goldfinger is currently inside one of his factories down there-- I'll take you down as close as I can"
Upon breaking the atmosphere of the planet, it's true beauty could be seen. It was akin to Las Vegas, only the size of a country as opposed to a mere city. Skyscrapers pieced the clouds like needles through fabric, the peaks of the apartments and mega casinos concealed by the veil of smoke
Large floating platforms filled the sky, acting as secondary layers of land to make up for the soil that had long since been consumed by commercialism.
It was upon one such pad that the Serenity II came to dock, far out of the sight of the weak border security of the planet.
This time, it was Sarah who spoke first
"You see that building beneath us-" She outstretched a slender finger in the direction of one of the taller buildings, one marked by a sign labelled "Auric Enterprises"
"If the name was not obvious enough, that's where Goldfinger is hiding out" Hitting the door opening panel with incredible strength, in order to over come its usual stiffness, Sarah stepped out onto the pad, her hand pressed firmly against the base of her nose
"Best to ignore the smell"
Swiftly being followed the the rest of the crew, excluding Hoban and Caesar, who stayed back to protect the Falcon, Connor examined the area. They were at least a mile from all of the buildings within jumping distance- it would be suicide to make a leap of faith- and it was impossible to land the ship any lower without being searched...damn
He chain of thought was broken, when a short, stout Korean man made his way towards her, placing a hand gently on her shoulder. Sarah instinctively drew her pistol on the man, leaping backwards towards the rest of the crew. She clicked a round into the barrel, and aimed it at the man's face
He was dressed as if he had been pulled out of a 1920 ballroom, dressed in a black suit a bola hat. In his hand he carried a golden wrist watch, which, prior to his contact, had been staring at attentively for the group to arrive.
Was this man
friend or
foe? To be
killed, or
negotiated with? Both factors unknown...but judging by the amount of gold that had had been wearing around his wrist, he was most likely an agent of Goldfinger
He remained mute, staring at the group with a lifeless gaze. He awaited to see their path of action
