Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Chain of Illusions IC

Ratch held up his fists as if he was ready to fight right now and exclaimed "Oh yea! I'm ready for round 2!".
Meanwhile Lawrence simply approached the group and asked "Exactly by how much are you over? Because if it's just one I can step down and join whichever group ends up lacking".

@SugaarCereal @DapperDogman @TheSpringwoodSlasher

As the group within the Beach Cave decided (At least, Kyrs and Cait did, cough cough) to go straight from the first room, they would find themselves in another long pathway, though thankfully brighter than the one into the dungeon. Winding its path in what felt like an eastern path, it suddenly twisted to the south to open up into another room. This room, relatively the same size of the previous one, had only one other exit, again straight across from the explorers. However, it would not be as easy to reach as the previous room.

shellos-500x500.jpg

Two young Shellos, one pink and the other blue, jerked their heads towards the party as they guarded the exit. For a moment, it might have seemed as though the two would be friendly, much like those Pokemon who lived in Treasure Town. However, their eyes soon narrowed as a sudden hostility emerged in them, and the duo began to push forward, sliding along the rock floor to meet the group.

Sub-Objective: Defeat the Shellos!

Knowing he wasn't much good in a fight, Cait quickly prepared to cast Barrier once the battle got underway, "Don't worry about defense, guys, I'll handle it! Just focus on letting loose against our opponents!"

"Oh, well, if the Tyorgue wants to join us, we'll be one man too many" he says, turning toward him slowly "So er, what do you say, you wanna join us?"

"I'll take care of this... Be wary..." Grimm speaks running ahead to engage the blue Shellos opening up with Assurance. He decided to open with this attack since it was a dark type move and physical at that which was right up his alley.

Snip snarled when Cass dodged her slash, and instead of pulling back from the oncoming attack, she pounced forward with sudden speed. If her Quick Attack succeeded, she would be able to pin the Treeko down, or at least that's what she wanted to happen.

When Sans made it to the dining hall he saw that two Pokemon were already there. "Good evening Madams. " He then heard the noise under the table. "Hmm...?" He adjusted his monocle and peered under the stockpiled table.

Uh oh this wasn't good and Cass wasn't really in the greatest of positions right now. Well she had one last plan for this and that would be to go for bullet seed again only this time she was aiming for Snip's face. This was in the hopes that it would throw Snip off but of course if this last ditch effort didn't work then Snip's attempt would.

The blue Shellos released a cry of pain as Absol counter-charged, hitting hard with his dark type move. However, the little Water-Ground type was not finished just yet. Having been sent flying from body shot, it righted itself before landing with its fins scooping up some dirt and wetting it. It was obvious that the next move would be Mud-Slap as the creature slithered up once again, though it seemed that it was hesitant for some reason. Perhaps the creature was already near to giving up?

The pink Shellos, on the other hand, went to slam straight into Kyrs, wanting to scare off the Rock-type quickly. It seemed to have sensed how shy she was and aimed to use that to even odds for the group.

"SURPRISE!!!" A group of 2 identical looking Pokemon jumps out from underneath the table in an attempt to surprise the people at the Dining Hall.

For some reason, Kyrs's reaction towards the pink Shellos didn't seem to go as the hostile Pokemon had expected. Usually when you thought of the situation, this clearly was a disadvantage for her, as being a Rock-type meant that she was vulnerable to the other Water/Ground-type. However, her own startled reaction would turn out to be in the team's best interest.

"Wah! S-Stay away!" Kyrs panicked as she instead rushed her way towards the pink Shellos, most likely to tackle it away. Clearly a physical blow from a Rock-type wasn't going to feel that all too great.

The pink Shellos realized then and there that it hadn't thought this through very well.

"S-S-SHELL!" Without much grace or refinement, the slug-like creature flew back and out of the fight completely, slamming into a wall. For a moment, it seemed as though it had been knocked out as its eyes swirled around and around, unable to correct themselves. Then, with some effort, it began to pick itself up to try and face Kyrs once again...

"Oh no, you don't!" Without any fear, Cait pounced upon the slug, scratching away at its face and body, "You're not going to hurt my friends, you big meanie!" Shellos shrieked and began thrashing about the floor, until it finally managed to throw the Espurr off and scurry away. It seemed Kyrs and Espurr's attacks had really done a number on it, physically and mentally, as for some reason, it had dropped a yellow seed as it ran away.

"....." Grimm would speak before dashing around the blue Shellos with incredible speed. He was clearly setting up for a Quick Attack that he would attempt to hit the blue Shellos with.

As Grimm dashed around it, the blue Shellos twisted about his spot, trying to keep up with the Dark-type. However, this only ended with the slug becoming dizzy and confused, unable to see straight. This battle was as good as over if Shellos was struck now.

Unaware that she practically just tackled the pink Shellos away, Kyrs had her eyes closed from the fright of this alone. Well, it was her first time actually in a place filled with enemies waiting at every corner. She didn't even realize that the pink Shellos had run off.

"H-Huh? I'm fine... I think... I'm not sure," Kyrs mumbled as she opened her eyes, seeing that the opposing pink Shellos was gone. She wasn't sure if she actually hit the Water/Ground-type that hard, but at least it was gone. With that part out of the way, she did take notice of something that was clearly not there before.

"Um... was that yellow seed around before?" the Carbink said as she approached the said yellow seed. Well, she couldn't easily pick it up because... you know, lack of arms.

Cait frowned in a worried manner, "Well... Don't be to speak up if you need a hand to h-... hold you. Oh, and what seed?" He looked around and spotted the seed, tilting his head at the sight, "I don't think so..." With a paw, he plucked the strange seed from the floor and began to examine it. His eyes then widened in surprise, "I think it's a Blast Seed!"

With that final hit, the final Shellos was knocked out of the room, near unconscious as it attempted to escape the group. Congrats, team, you all just completed your first battle in a dungeon.

"A Blast Seed?... you mean, that one that... explodes?"

Kyrs guessed that it would be useful if they needed something in a pinch. Besides, they managed to ward off the enemies in their first battle. That was one huge step for their team.

"Yep!" Espurr nodded with a smile before putting the seed away in his bag, "I'll hold onto this for now, okay? Now let's get going, we can't waste any more time!"

Should you continue the way that the Shellos were going or turn back to search the hallway you ignored at the beginning?

Nova
@Crono @Genkako

The fletchling seemed to grow excited by the two new entries, shown by the fact that Nova cackled with joy. Literally. "Hey! Nice to meet you both! I am Nova!~" She cooed, making a small twirl in the air as her wings beat furiously, keeping her aloft. Honestly, Nova was glad to finally talk to someone. Large abyss like orbs, a lit with a light of mischief, watched as one of the new pokemon walked over to the table after his greeting, peering under. Even Nova was curious...

Two pokemon bustled out, a Plusle and Minum, causing her to flinch slightly due to the unexpected nature of the two. There was no other sound from Nova herself. Soon enough through, Nova had found herself laying on her back on the floor, laughing hysterically. The fact the two surprised them just made this guild even more intriguing, it made her want to be here even more. "T-That was awesome!" She finished laughing, slowly bringing herself to stand upon her feet.

"I'm Nova, nice to meet ya' both!"

"Maybe we can check out what's up ahead?" Kyrs suggested that they go the way that the Shellos had retreated to. While she didn't know what could be there, but she had a feeling that they would get closer to finding the Pokemon they needed to rescue.

The swablu let her guard down as she cooed softly, seemingly happy. "Nice to meet you Aegis!" She replied, her tone even displaying her excitement at making a friend, at least in her own vision. Her eyes briefly drifted back towards the duo who were fighting, watching them carefully. Though she worried more about them getting hurt, even if she hadn't met them. "...May I know why they are battling?" She asked, her voice drawing to a quieter pitch as she did.
