Rita wasn't going to stop the woman from spraying each other. She looked over at everyone. " I'm going to stay here and help clear as much of the goop as I can, I don't think anyone should be covered in this horrible stuff," Rita replied. She looked for an area that needed spraying and started to clean it up.

Leeds watched the majority of the group run off and rolled his eyes. "Figures you're all a buncha goody-two-shoes. Ain't like you'll all get the magic immunity." He smiled at Hina, tossing her two coins. "At least one of you has some common sense."

"I'd like to stay behind too, please," Yumeko said, right by Hina's side. Leeds handed her two coins as well.

"Trust me, it ain't worth it. That gooper thing is one tough fuck."

Those arriving at the stage would find a squid a good ten times bigger than the others.

"GROOOOOAAAAAHHH!!!!" It roared at the group, completely unaffected by the water. It instead raised its four tentacles into the air, attempting to bring them down and crush them all!

All the chair would do was break on the monster and make it even angrier. Its tentacle would slam right on the stage, knocking the wooden plank Yamashiro stood on to send her flying up into the air. If the group wasn't careful, she could really get hurt.

Yamashiro noticed the squid seemed unaffected from the water. She looked towards the ground and saw rocks; would they affect something of that size? She shook her head and thought it would not work.

She remembered that they were standing in front of a stage. Something familiar about that, especially from the light cruiser Naka's frequent "idol" performances. She saw some chairs near the stage, most likely for audience use when there was a performance, just like at Naka's events.

"A bigger shell for a bigger enemy!"

She then went over, grabbed a chair, tossing it in front of her and aimed the FLUDD at it, firing the chair in a jet stream of water towards the giant squid.

"Stage chair, aimed and firing!"

She hoped the chair would cause damage, or drive the squid away.

There went Yamashiro, one of the Servants who had been summoned into this Rayshift. Ritsuka continued to dodge around it and spray it as she made her way over to catch the falling battleship now going into reentry.

She shouted towards the others. "Does anyone have any ideas on how to take this thing?"

Rita was thankful that Maria had helped her and smiled. Oh, it had a weak belly button. She had no clue why, but she figure that a jump would do something. That was exactly what Rita did. She jumped on the exposed belly button.

When she cleaned up the goop on the ground, Ami would get....

Nothing! Well, she'd get the satisfaction of making the world a cleaner place : )

When Rita jumped on its exposed belly button, the monster would cough up some of the water, like it had just been given CPR. Some of the water would land on Risky, which cleaned off any goop that might have gotten on her while also cooling her off.

However, after it coughed up all that water, the mutant plant would stand up before hopping up and down angrily as it let out another screech, though this one sounded a bit angrier than the last one. After that, the beast would run over to Maria and attempted to hit her in the face with his leaf arm.

Rita took the opportunity after she had jumped off to aim her FLUDD at the open mouth of the creature. It probably wasn't a smart idea, but maybe it would protect Maria....probably.

Its mouth wasn't open when Rita shot her FLUDD, so the water just bounced off its lips.

❝ Uu? ❞ Maria was confused the moment that Rita ran over to protect her. Was the monster mad that she fired water at it earlier? Though, she took in the fact that Rita was hurt now, hurt while protecting her. Well, she didn't want anyone to be hurt, maybe trying what she did beforehand.

❝ Uuu! Stop being mean! Uu uu! ❞ The young girl ran over to stand in front of Rita, taking aim and shooting more water at it's mouth like last time.

Despite being hurt, Rita was once again..... very pissed off. She got up and she jumped on the motherfucker who slapped her.

Like last time, Petey Piranha would cough up water, it landing on Ami this time.

When he stood up again, the monster would spin around, causing a small tornado to form. The tornado threatened to hit Rita, Maria, and Risky if they didn't move out of the way in time.

Rita looked over at Maria. " We need to run from that," she said, ready to run and grabbing the other girl's hand, hoping that she would do it with her. Risky could handle herself.

Getting drenched by the water the bipedal bloom had upchucked, Risky Boots grit her teeth and fumed with annoyed rage - so much so, one could practically hear the water sizzling on her hot head.

"Alright you overgrown weed, it's about time you got whacked!" Risky shouted, and broke into a sprint around the conjured tornado in order to close the distance between herself and her foe!

Shantae nodded over to Rita when she said she would keep Maria safe. From what Shantae had seen, Maria seemed pretty trustworthy, so she didn't doubt her word.

So as Rita went to help Maria, Shantae pushed Maria out of the way, taking the hit for her. The ball of goop was enough to knock her back a bit, though aside from now being covered in brown goop, Shantae didn't sustain any injuries.

On the other hand, Rita luckily did have an opening, as Petey Piranha had began to inhale yet again. Like the last two times, the monster was filled up with enough water to knock it over as it fell to the ground. It's usual weak point on its belly button was now exposed again.

Like the other times, the monster would cough up more water. This time it landed on Maria.

Petey Piranha stood up again, though it was obvious that all these attacks were starting to wear him down.

"I think that one more hit should do it!" Shantae shouted to the others. As she said this, the monster inhaled one last time in an attempt to shoot more goop.

Rita took the opening when he was inhaling to spray more water in his mouth. If one more hit stopped him, then she would do just that.

Taking the opportunity, Rita was ready to end this. She did the last jump and hopefully that was the end.

With that final hit, the monster let out a loud cry as it was strangely enveloped in the same goop that it was spitting out mere moments ago before melting into a puddle of goop.

"We did it everybody!" Shantae exclaimed happily despite still being covered in goo.

The goop eventually evaporated, when suddenly the same object from earlier appeared where the monster once laid.

" I remember this. It appeared after I cleared the goop monster from the statue and helped with the hut." Rita approached it catiously to see if it would leave like all of the others, touching it if it didn't flee.This one strangely didn't give them a glow... not yet at least.

When Rita touched the object, she would begin to glow faintly. Shantae, Maria, and Risky Boots would glow as well.

The object would then float into the air and fly off somewhere. As you made your way out of the windmill, you would be greeted by the same Pianta from earlier.

"Oh thank you! That monster was terrorizing our village for the longest time!" The Pianta exclaimed with glee.

"It was no problem! We're just happy to help!" Shantae said happily. The Pianta nodded in response.

"Well, I have nothing to give you in return, though you have my and everyone else's deepest gratitudes." The woman said. Without another word, she waltzed off. If you were to look around, you would see that the area still had a good amount of goop around.

You could either stay and wash the goop away with your FLUDD or head back to the boat if you felt like you were done here.

As the grotesque plant inexplicably melted into a mound of mud, Risky Boots recovered from Shantae's shove and walked to the foot of the pile just to spit on it. She offered Rita her thanks, but blinked as the girl began to glow, then peered down at her own two arms and hands to find the same happening to herself. Her confusion was short-lived, however, as she quickly recognized what it entailed. "Will we really be forced to play another one of those nutcases' games again?" Risky groaned. The pirate's sullen mood came to a quick end upon glancing Shantae's way, though. Shrugging off the implications of their luminous state and the cheapskate locals both, Risky Boots smirked as she sprayed Shantae with her FLUDD.

Before Shantae could even finish her question, she was suddenly assaulted by a burst of water from none other than Risky Boots herself! That fiend!

With a smirk of her own curling across her lips, the half-genie would spray Risky back in her stupid face!

After Ami cleaned up the goop, she honestly did feel kind of good, and a smug smile appeared on her face as she began to wonder of Ryuuji's cleaning obsession was rubbing off of her. Unfortunately this didn't last long, as the plant creature suddenly sprayed her with water from its mouth.

"Eyaaaah!!!! You you... You stop that!" She cried out, frantically spraying their opponent with her FLUDD device.

Though because, in her moment of panic... She wasn't paying particular attention to where she was aiming, she barely hit the thing at all, and when she finally stopped spraying, it would appear that the fight was over, as Rita had taken the liberty of stomping on the creature's weak point one last time... Causing it to be destroyed, and a strange star thing to pop out.

Seeing that the others were glowing upon Rita touching the star, including her... She realized that this was how people were able to gain immunity from death... Hmmm... Nonetheless, she could only look on with a sense of awe as the star flew away to some far away place.

However, her train of thought was quickly interrupted by Shantae suddenly being sprayed by the more mischevious Risky, causing her to burst out into a fit of laughter... Loosening her once shot nerves just a little.

"Ahahaha! You two are so adorable sometimes!" She said, seeming to be entertained by this whole scenario.

On the plus side, it also seemed that Maria stopped doing that "uuu" thing for now. However, after a good few moments, Ami quickly redirected her focus on the situation at hand, her mood seeming to dip a little.

"Ah... No... But seriously. Let's clean up all this goop." She grumbled. Recalling what "shadow Luigi" created out of that goop with his paint brush, she figured it was for the best not to leave their enemies with something like this in the future.

And with that, Ami started spraying away at the goop with her FLUDD device, intending to stay for as long as she deemed neccessary to clean away all that mess.​

The red variety of Cataquacks were only atop the the solar panels, clearly out of stomping range. However, when Ernesti sprayed one with water, it appeared off-balance as it stood on one foot. After a couple seconds, it regained its balance, with a suction cup foot securing itself to the panel. There were three red Cataquacks in total atop the panel.

"Ah, I admire your bravery young sir. You can see yourself the power of the Cataquacks. Look, here comes one now."

A blue Cataquack waddled its way up to Ernesti and Alesha. To their surprise, it would suddenly launch them into the air with its bill! "Now you see why they're called Cataquacks," said the Noki elder.

As the pair flew into the air, they might notice a blue glint of something hanging in the air, before they fall back towards the ground and landed on the solar panel. This caused the panel to shake, but the three red Cataquacks held fast.

The blue Cataquack then turned towards Yusuke and and slowly began an approach.​

"I thought I saw something... but first, the Wiggler," Ernesti said, before landing on the shaky solar panel.

"This thing's a bit unstable, but it seems that the feet of those Cataquacks are adapted for- wait a second..."

Ernesti Echevalier launched water at a red Cataquack to stun it, then slammed a kick onto it, seeing if it would slide about or even off the panel.

After testing his theory out, he would use use a different Red Cataquack to further propel himself upwards, towards the tower with the Wiggler.

That glint of sapphire caught the warrior's eye almost as quick as a dragon might, her eyes holding on it until she landed in a roll. She had a feeling she knew what it was - another part of the trio of blue coins she had been given the chance to collect. Without wasting a moment's hesitation, Alesha was back on her feet, FLUDD unit aiming straight at the blue Cataquack and spraying to draw its attention while moving towards the spot she thought would be beneath it. If she could just get the creature to quickly launch her again... "Ernesti, I will be ready to assist you in a moment!"

When his companions didn't reply after he asked if he could help, Yusuke quieted. Did their silence mean perhaps that he wasn't useful? Maybe that was true. Without his persona abilities he was just an ordinary person. At times like this he wished that he still had that power. For quite some time now he hadn't been able to access it and he felt as if he were missing a part of himself.

Yusuke focused again when he would notice the blue cataquack approaching him. He took a cautious step back, narrowing his eyes. "I'd rather not be flung into the air by that thing, thanks. Seems rather dangerous, don't you think?" he questioned. He aimed his FLUDD at the creature to be safe, but didn't fire at it just yet. He waited to see what Noki might say next.

Hiyori probably would have made suggestions on what to do to take the thing down, since it seemed that, as she expected, the water did nothing to stop the beast. It was massive and, well, a squid. Squids liked water, that was just plain, simple logic. So she followed logic by stopping spraying it, instead trying to think of a new way to take it on, just about when a tentacle came crashing down towards her. An audible, panicked yelp came from the teen as she scrambled to get out of the way, jumping up to avoid the tentacle and doing so in the nick of time, though her landing wasn't so graceful. She landed on the end of the tentacle, which led her to lose her balance and stumble momentarily, struggling to regain her focus.

Catching on to Hiyori's movement and the unexpected effect that it had on the creature, Gon didn't hesitate to follow suit. He wondered if his gesture would be any less effective, considering he only weighed just a little over a hundred pounds, and was sure Hiyori weighed a good amount more than him (read: probably fatter than she looked), but decided to keep going anyway. After all, fortune favored the bold!

With that said, Gon leapt into the air, aiming to land on one of the other tentacles in the process!

As they began to clean up the goop, more and more of the ground was available to walk on. Hopefully nothing would get in their way this time.

The remaining two Cataquacks, in response to their fallen brother, charged towards Ernesti and Alesha. With their tinier beaks, they quickly launched the two of them into the air. Ernesti landed on top of Wiggler, while Alesha was launched into the air right next to the blue coin.

Meanwhile, Alesha's spray of water caused the blue Cataquack to completely tip over, revealing a soft and stompable belly. Yusuke was safe from its wrath.

"You're not going to get much done here on the ground, unless you have particularly good aim. You might be able to hit the red ones from here," the Noki elder said to Yusuke.​

Meanwhile, Alesha's spray of water caused the blue Cataquack to completely tip over, revealing a soft and stompable belly. Yusuke was safe from its wrath.

"You're not going to get much done here on the ground, unless you have particularly good aim. You might be able to hit the red ones from here," the Noki elder said to Yusuke.​

"I have excellent aim," Yusuke stated, somewhat confident in this fact. He had been well trained in the art of firing a gun in the metaverse, so perhaps he would be helpful while on the ground. "I shall give it try on the ground and if that isn't enough I suppose I shall attempt going into the air." He wanted to be useful. He had to be useful. So the boy aimed and fired his FLUDD at one of the red Cataquacks.

The tentacle Gon jumped on went flat, and once The Doctor picked it up, Gooper Blooper started to flail frantically, at the mercy of the Timelord. Its three other tentacles withdrew back, unable to do much but flap wildly. Clearly its tentacles were its weak point...but how did you kill it?

After Yamashiro was launched in the air and fell to the ground, all she could think of was wanting to be docked for repairs... sit in a bath for hours until she felt better. But there was no such thing here, so she needed to bring herself back to the ongoing battle with the giant squid.

"The unlucky battleship Yamashiro is back again."

Once she got back to the area, she noticed some progress being made. She thought of what she tried with Ernesti earlier as an improvised Zuiun. The squid's tentacles seemed to be the weak point, perhaps a Zuiun strike would be very effective? She reached out to the others there in hopes of a volunteer Zuiun:

"I have an idea, sirs and ma'ams. Would any of you like to try flying as a Zuiun bomber?"

As The Doctor pulled, the tentacle squirmed in his hands, until...

POP! It came right out! Shrivelling up, the tentacle flopped about like a fish out of water, before shrinking into nothing. Gooper Blooper cried out in pain, turning and retreating by climbing up the cliff behind them.

"Is it finally gone...?" A voice spoke up from under the stage, and a trapdoor opened, a girl appearing before the group.

"Thank you so much for fighting it off! I was so scared back there..."

Ernesti's combination of spraying and attacking the red Cataquack resulted in the creature being knocked off of the panel. The remaining two Cataquacks, in response to their fallen brother, charged towards Ernesti and Alesha. With their tinier beaks, they quickly launched the two of them into the air. Ernesti landed on top of Wiggler, while Alesha was launched into the air right next to the blue coin.

Meanwhile, Alesha's spray of water caused the blue Cataquack to completely tip over, revealing a soft and stompable belly. Yusuke was safe from its wrath.

"You're not going to get much done here on the ground, unless you have particularly good aim. You might be able to hit the red ones from here," the Noki elder said to Yusuke.​

Alesha gritted her teeth before smiling like a madwoman as she found herself flung up to that blue coin. Her hand quickly swiped at it in order to snatch it up, the warrior once again plummeting to the ground and landing in a roll. "Heh, easy enough..." She chuckled before pocketing the coin, focusing on the last two red Cataquacks. With a vicious grin, she quickly sprayed one of the beasts head-on before charging forward, launching herself in a jumping-kick to try and knock it off, "Begone, creature!"

[Midnight Maiden]

As another famous person once said, "There's a time and a place for everything!" It seems the water has no effect on the monster. What does have an effect, however, is Hiyori jumping on the tentacle.

"GROOOOAAAAHHHH!!" The entire tentacle goes flat, and in unable to move. It has yet to pick up its other three tentacles from the ground.

"Uwah! It sounds like that managed to hurt it!"

Catching on to Hiyori's movement and the unexpected effect that it had on the creature, Gon didn't hesitate to follow suit. He wondered if his gesture would be any less effective, considering he only weighed just a little over a hundred pounds, and was sure Hiyori weighed a good amount more than him (read: probably fatter than she looked), but decided to keep going anyway. After all, fortune favored the bold!

With that said, Gon leapt into the air, aiming to land on one of the other tentacles in the process!

Regardless, the others weren't the only ones surprised by how effective Hiyori's(unintentional) tactic at beating the beast was. But hey, she didn't sit back and let opportunity slip away. "Aha!" she cheered, grinning as she called to the others "Get the tentacles! They're it's weak point!" she called helpfully to the others, she, herself going to tear into the stomped tentacle--

Only to be whacked aside when the Doctor went to do the same and the tentacle she had stomped began to flail due to that. It was a literal slap to the face, one that rendered her briefly unsteady as she clasped her offended cheek with mild pain. It wasn't horrible or unbearable, per se, but with how large the beast was(along with it's appendages by extension) it wasn't exactly something someone as light and petite as her could tank without a stumble and a good bit of pain. But thankfully, it left only a mark and some throbbing pain, which she shook off alright enough.

Admittedly, she wasn't entirely sure that she was included in the thanks of that woman, or if she merely meant the others, but she rubbed her neck dismissively despite. "E-erm... It was no big deal, really," she tried to assure, not wanting the girl to feel bad(though she didn't seem to) about any trouble they might have had. Still, Hiyori had her concerns, her hand falling away from her neck and instead lightly clasping her other, a look of mild concern on her feats. "Are you alright though, miss? I hope that creature didn't manage to harm you..."

Yato was going to stomp on the giant squids tentacle when it suddenly flailed about, causing the god to fall flat on his ass and watch it retreat. Standing and brushing himself off he turned to address some of the rest of the group and ask if they were okay when his eyes caught the rather red looking mark on Hiyori's cheek. Wincing he walked over to get a look at it.

"Geez, are you alright? Looks like it got you good." he asked, mild concern on his face, though she seemed to be brushing it off pretty well so he didn't worry to much at the moment.

"Oh, not to worry! I'm completely fine! I was lucky enough to get under the stage in time. Though..." She frowned. "If anything, I'm worried about those poor Piantas! I hope they're okay...this harbor is their home, after all."
