Murder Tale IV: The Sovionok Camp Incident

"Tch, about time. I was wondering how much longer they'd keep us waiting," Shiki grunted, completely ignoring whatever Blake's response was and Orie herself as she stretched, tensed, and swung herself off the tree branch, alighting on the ground with a muted thud. She snatched her jacket from above with one hand, casually draping it over her left shoulder as she stopped before the now-opened camp gates, keen gaze flickering over her options with a grumpy expression as several of her fellow abductees streamed in to ask the predictable questions; the ones she was certain weren't going to be answered clearly, at least not yet.

"Hmph."

Jeez, this was a pain... A pioneer camp? What a crock. No pioneer camp conscripted people against their will. Ryougi could tell from the blonde girl's expression that she was a sheep, thoroughly ensnared in the wolf's trap. She wouldn't be any help, unless it was to give directions.

And Shiki didn't want directions.

So instead of following any of the others, she opted to stay at the bus stop for the time being. There was something new to look into here now, anyway; something nagging at the back of the brunette-haired girl's mind like an annoyingly catchy tune that wouldn't go away.

Where, exactly, did those two girls come from?

Anyone, whether chilling on the side of the road, or inside the bus, or just wandering aimlessly beyond the horizon would find their attention drawn by two distinct individuals... They seemed awfully familiar really; a young looking girl arrived first, wearing a peculiar looking skirt, she practically rushed out of the bus... It was a wonder no-one had noticed her before.

"Alright team! Today we-..." she stopped briefly, looking around a few times; it appeared it had only just dawned on her that she wasn't in the environment she thought she was...

"... This isn't Beacon... Is it?" She asked blankly... As if on cue, some other person stepped out, yawning quietly, it looked like she too had just woken up; it was quite unusual to have missed two individuals on the bus, but, someone, everyone had managed it.

She carried a strange weapon strapped to her back, but, at first sight, it looked like some sort of sniper rifle with bright yellow bits here and there... Though, it didn't look like any model from Earth, in fact, it looked like it came from the same place that girl in red had.​

Shiki refused to believe she had simply missed them during her initial headcount. That would've been a pathetic oversight on her part, one her pride wasn't going to let her accept. So she decided to approach the girl in the red dress, dark eyes narrowed in outright suspicion as she grabbed her arm a bit roughly to prevent her from going anywhere and spoke harshly.

"You. Where did you come from? You weren't on the bus with the rest of us."

She didn't mean the kid any harm, of course, but she found being severe and direct was the best way to go when trying to extract information from someone; hence the look in her eyes that was, quite frankly, lethal.

Perhaps you'd like to follow her directions, or, just explore the camp on your own, either option didn't seem that bad, though, it looked like it may be for the best to speak to Olga first, it appeared she was the camp leader... Getting your bearings on your own is a risky move after all.​

Giving a brief nod to the little monotone girl to her question, Krieg found himself halted in his maniacal skipping away to the strange camp by a multitude of people The first two he noticed, were, well, the same two boring sword-wielding protagonists he could ever observe. Hearing them request for him to smile, the psycho abruptly stopped, twirling about viciously, striking up a devilish pose. If it wasn't for the fact he looked as if he was just dying to rip out someone's heart, some might even call him handsome, what with his absurd muscles and mighty stature.

"CHEESE, MEATBAGS! Oh please, don't flatter me, your making me GIDDY!" he chuckled at Cecil and the red-haired Asian, his voice, despite being maniacal, showing no signs of harm. Krieg had matters of course, why would he ever harm a mere stranger? Well, partially due the little man inside his head threatening to kill him, but that was besides the point!

"See? Friends, friends that can help you with those of the Deserving. None of these are the D-"

As he strutted forward, Krieg flinched back, and lo, he felt a deep, dark sensation bloom in his bosom as his singular eye caught gaze of a blue-haired psychopath.

"Oh no, don't you even think about it. Jesus, why is it always the badass blue-haired chicks with an ob-"

"HAHAH, LITTLE PRETTY LADY FUNNY! Kriegy like you!" Krieg cackled, virtually finding the only soul he could relate to in this hellhole. Partially because they are both batshit insane, both enjoy genocide, and both enjoy a healthy dosage of complete anarchy. Boldly ruffling Jinz's hair a bit, Krieg threw his arms up, jokingly beginning to flex, uttering his catchphrase, "My pecs have my pecs!" to the other sociopath. Wow, what a beautiful start to an amazing friendship~

And then some generic US Marine from the 40s pointed a rifle at him.

"I RATHER SNORT A KNIFE INTO MY BRAIN!"

And then some red-haired gal with a sniper-rifle scythe came out of a bus.

"Ooo, Little Red! I see RED!"

And then the gates opened, and to put it frankly, a lot of shit was happening.

"Ughh, I'm OVERFLOWING! The sound, the noises!! Kill it! Loud noises and I'll strangle it with a BONESAW!! Mmm, you think this is the end? The blood, the screaming, the teeth, it will start, soon. Again. And Again. AND AGAIN! FOREVER!!"

With those poetic words, Krieg decided to bolt into the with the rest of the group heading inside the gates, continuing to skip along. In reality, he was a bit confused, hell, fearful.

"Thank you!" Yellow thanked the pioneer girl before throwing out another pokeball. "Dody!" she shouted, sending out her Dodrio. Gravvy put Sukuna onto the bird pokemon before being returned. At Hajime's request, she nodded.

"Gotcha! Alright, let's go," she said, about to hop on Dody when she was asked a question.

"Huh? Of course...?" Yellow answered, a little bit confused. Pikachus weren't the most common pokemon, but they weren't that rare. Now that she thought about it, someone else hadn't even heard of them.

"I'm sorry, I'm in a bit of a hurry, but we can meet up at Olga's!" she said to everyone nearby, running off to the infirmary.

TOHSAKA didn't like nothing that this girl was selling, but decided to humor her for the time being. "Do you have a pool? I'm figuratively scalding from the heat." She wasn't really, but maybe some exaggeration would garner a quicker response from the blond even if she was leaving.

Well... that was abrupt, Kyon mentally commented as the girl seemed to suddenly have business to attend to. But whatever. He thought little of it, deciding to tag along with the others for now. Anything to get away from Asakura, though she'll probably just follow him anyway. He was almost counting on it.

He briefly motioned them all to follow along though. TOHSAKA, Hank, and whoever else might have been with them. The more the merrier. He wasn't about to abandon them, but hey, someone had to be the leader, and he wasn't about to let someone like Hank take charge of him. It was humiliating enough to take orders from a schoolgirl that was smaller than you in every way, but more powerful than anyone could ever possibly imagine.

"Sure. Right behind you," Kyon nodded to Hajime, pocketing his hands, "Man, you could never tell this was Russia by how hot it is..." He grumbled. Did the country undergo mass cooling in the '90s or so?

"Uh... I dunno... I woke up in one of the seats! The last thing I remember was falling asleep in my bed." The girl said, scratching her head a little, this all seemed a bit strange, but, yet familiar to her... She glanced over at the other girl, the one wearing a hoodie. "Whaddaya think, Sophie?"

In response, Sophie seemed to shrug a little "No idea... But... We should probably head inside... It's really hot out here." she said, fanning her face a little... Well, she wasn't wrong, not to mention the AC in the bus had turned itself off by now.​

Round 1 - Beyond The Gates

She turned towards the red haired girl "Looks like we're thrown into Russia... But... We've gone back at least 30 years in time..." she said... The girl in red sort of nodded, and was about to speak some more, but, just then... The gates creaked open, and a girl wearing a Pioneer uniform stepped out.

She looked a little surprised actually to see the considerably sized crowd gathered at the gates "Hi... You must be new arrivals, right?" she asked, it would appear that there was no longer a barrier preventing entrance to the camp gates. Upon realizing this, Semyon blushed as he ran forwards "Er... Excuse me, do you know where the bathroom is?" he asked, "Past the two clubhouse buildings, then to the left." she said, smiling kindly as she stepped to the side, allowing Semyon to zip past... Welp, looks like he's off already. The girl turned back to the other arrivals, looking at them with a sense of interest; some of the items they carried after all weren't from her time period, but, it didn't seem to bother her greatly at all.

There were three options here:

A) Talk With The Pioneer girl: Perhaps she could have some answers? Or at least allow you to get better bearings about this place?
B) Head Inside The Gates: If you don't want to strike up a conversation with the Pioneer girl, there's always the option of exploring on your own, though, one may have a bit of trouble navigating at first.
C) Stay At The Bus Stop: It seems a little cooler inside the gates, but, if you really wish to stay at the bus stop for whatever reason, you can... It'll probably be very boring though.

"Huzzah! The gate is open!" She cheered, thrusting her corresponding arm up with each step as she paraded back and forth in line, chuckling at the hair ruffling and even more at the guy's nonchalant and earnest reply to being threatened. Oh oh oh...she just curled her lip up and bit it, highly amused now. This guy was something else, like her! It pleased her to know there were places like Zaun out there in the...other places! Pausing her parading, she pulled out one of her Super Mega Death Rockets, usually meant to bust bunkers or break the bones of other champions as they hid in their hidey holes. Too bad rockets and bullets moving in staccato all ran much faster than they did.

But here? This rocket was likely to be defunct. Like Pow-Pow and her attempted fire and just...ugh! So frustrating! It was gunplay but no one seemed to want playtime here. However that didn't mean it couldn't have it's uses. She set the giant rocket down and hopped on top of it, one leg dangling over each side.

"TRANSPORTATION!" She adjusted, keenly aiming at the gate and lining it up very very precisely, using her thumb as a mark. She nodded, satisfied. "Jinx to Base Command, we are go for launch. Bzzzt, repeat, we are go for launch! And lunch too!" She reached back, lighting the fuse with her lighter as she held on tight.

"Blast off!"

And once she was hopefully rocketing through the open gate above the heads of whoever else, she stood, using it as an impromptu surfboard right up until she landed, the rocket skidding into the ground harmlessly for a few moments before it came to a halt and she hopped down...and then she was free to explore this dump of a camp!

"The Soviet Union used to contain Ukraine, so maybe we're somewhere in the south of what we call the Ukraine?" Hajime proposed with a thoughtful expression, "It should be warmer if I know my geography well enough and I think it's summer right now." And if we are, then maybe we can escape and head south towards Greece. That'll give us free access to embassies... Then again, we've kind of gone back in time and some of us aren't even from this world it seems... "Now that I think about, Kyon, it's going to be hard getting home in this situation," he sighed, wishing he was back on the Jabberwock Islands.

Babyface? What was a babyface? Karol felt as if he should have bee concerned by that, but Beowulf was heaping such praise on him that it quickly became forgotten. "Heck yeah! They'll be shaking in their boots at the sight of me! Then they'll know the name, Brave Vesperia!" Karol lifted a finger at Beowulf's confusion, preparing an explanation inside his head. "You see... I run an entire guild! We're called Brave Vesperia and it's gonna be the biggest guild in Dhangrest some day! It's named after the biggest star in the sky, you know. In Brave Vesperia, we do all sorts of work, like helping those in need and... finding missing objects, and delivering justice and stuff! So, you see... I've got to be the absolute strongest! I've got to be the great role model! I have fight injustice wherever I go! I represent an entire guild, and nothing will stop us!"

Putting his broadsword away into his too-large bag, Karol balled his fists and brought them close to his chest. He prepared for a great big--

"AROOOOOO!"

His excitement getting the better of him, Karol reached out and pinched Samidare's arm. "... Huh? You didn't wake up... I guess pinching actually doesn't work that often when I'm dreaming, now that I think about it." Karol was used to having some vivid dreams, but this one was totally out of this world. It was actually kind of boring in comparison to most dreams he'd had. Where were the dragons? Where was the cake? This whole experience was actually turning out to be entirely lame outside of of meeting Beowulf. "Anyway, I can stand any heat! I've trekked across a desert before!"

Karol posed, putting his hands on his hips. He seemed pretty smug with himself, at least until his stomach audibly growled.

"O-Oh... I guess I shouldn't have thought about cake."

"Yeah! No doubt you'll wreck every uppity punk who steps up to ya! I have faith in you and you know you've got it good when the WUUUUUUUUULF stands behind you! Also, the biggest star huh? Well, then you better make it shine the brightest, Karol! Now lemme hear your howl! One, two, three.."

"AROOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" Pretty pleased with the howl that Karol had mustered up, the wrestler nodded as the fabled pinch failed once more. "I think we're all gonna need something a bit stronger than a pinch, Karol. We need to take action and get to the root of this problem! Which means we gotta do some investigating. But, first let's go-" Beowulf was cut off as Ruby blitzed off the bus and right past him. Blinking, Beowulf bit his bottom lip and then glanced from side to side. After some more talky-talk, the gates opened and Beowulf scratched his head. "Well, this didn't really solve the whole I'm sweating like a pig problem. But baby steps, Karol! Shoot, maybe we'll even find you some cake!"

Beowulf proclaimed as he rushed off through the gate, presuming Karol would follow.

Gaara had taken notice of the look Kyon had directed his way and a maniacal grin spread across his face. He recognized that look. It was the look that many people had given him. It was a look of wariness and most likely a reaction to the uncomfortable/unnerving air that Gaara gave off with his mere presence. He might have tried to attack Kyon but before he could make any sudden movements, he was blindsided as Ruby rushed off the bus and the gates opened. His eyes narrowing, Gaara made his way off the bus without a word and roughly shoved the blonde girl aside as he made his way past the gate.

"I don't recall asking for your help. Next time, I'll do more than shove."

He spat with such heavy menace in his tone as he started to explore the camp on his own.

Well... that was abrupt, Kyon mentally commented as the girl seemed to suddenly have business to attend to. But whatever. He thought little of it, deciding to tag along with the others for now. Anything to get away from Asakura, though she'll probably just follow him anyway. He was almost counting on it.

He briefly motioned them all to follow along though. TOHSAKA, Hank, and whoever else might have been with them. The more the merrier. He wasn't about to abandon them, but hey, someone had to be the leader, and he wasn't about to let someone like Hank take charge of him. It was humiliating enough to take orders from a schoolgirl that was smaller than you in every way, but more powerful than anyone could ever possibly imagine.

"Sure. Right behind you," Kyon nodded to Hajime, pocketing his hands, "Man, you could never tell this was Russia by how hot it is..." He grumbled. Did the country undergo mass cooling in the '90s or so?

How rude...well she can find one on her own. "Oh Kyon-kun, you're such a take charge type of guy." She just wished someone here wasn't a broke peasant so that she could actually earn some cash on this trip. "Russia can actually have hot summers depending on where in the country we are...I could potentially tell you those places...if you give me ¥100, that is."

Got to get that cash money somehow.

Canada looked at Yukio and Cecil. You guys gotta help me! He's insane! Can I stay with you two? Please? Asked Canada softly to Cecil and Yukio, scared of Bill.

Meanwhile. Bill managed to keep up with Krieg inside the gates. Hello, big guy! I'm Bill. You look insane. I like insane people! Because I'm insane! Do you want to be friends? Asked Bill gleefully to Krieg, still holding that jug of water.

Unfortunately, the girl had already wandered off, clearly having something to attend to she had just forgotten about... It seemed she was indeed in a bit of a hurry, perhaps she was just often running errands around the place?​

Wednesday listened and was quietly sipping her poison. Then put the bottle up knowing she would need to make a refill later. She felt like learning of the campus on her own to perhaps dispose of any child videos that could be used to torment her like her first year at camp Chipawa. Wednesday headed inside the gates.

"Thank you!" Yellow thanked the pioneer girl before throwing out another pokeball. "Dody!" she shouted, sending out her Dodrio. Gravvy put Sukuna onto the bird pokemon before being returned. At Hajime's request, she nodded.
"Gotcha! Alright, let's go," she said, about to hop on Dody when she was asked a question.
"Huh? Of course...?" Yellow answered, a little bit confused. Pikachus weren't the most common pokemon, but they weren't that rare. Now that she thought about it, someone else hadn't even heard of them.
"I'm sorry, I'm in a bit of a hurry, but we can meet up at Olga's!" she said to everyone nearby, running off to the infirmary.

It was another Pioneer, though, this one kept silent; perhaps she was an introvert? Who knew, but, she had a sort of faraway look on her face, as if she were carrying the weight of the entire world's troubles with her or something like that.

Yukio nodded. "Yes. We may as well now go inside the gates." The threatening man seemed a little less threatening, but she kept her guard up. For stranger, more sudden things, have happened in her lifetime before.

Hajime proposed with a thoughtful expression, "It should be warmer if I know my geography well enough and I think it's summer right now." And if we are, then maybe we can escape and head south towards Greece. That'll give us free access to embassies... Then again, we've kind of gone back in time and some of us aren't even from this world it seems... "Now that I think about, Kyon, it's going to be hard getting home in this situation," he sighed, wishing he was back on the Jabberwock Islands.

"Well... I mean, I might have a few contacts that could help me out... if they find me. But we'll cross that bridge when we get there. One step at a time, as they say..."

But then again, with a normal guy like Hajime, at least, from Kyon's current point of view, he wasn't just about to mention he was acquainted with a time traveler and an alien android capable of rewriting reality. Then again, no matter what, he still wouldn't be as weird as the guy claiming to be a country or the schizophrenic psycho that won't stop screaming aimlessly.

She didn't really know what was going on with this howling and pinching. Especially when Karol pinched her. ... Well, she didn't say anything about that, but it was clear she didn't really appreciate it either.

Round 1 - Beyond The Gates
Anyone, whether chilling on the side of the road, or inside the bus, or just wandering aimlessly beyond the horizon would find their attention drawn by two distinct individuals... They seemed awfully familiar really; a young looking girl arrived first, wearing a peculiar looking skirt, she practically rushed out of the bus... It was a wonder no-one had noticed her before.

"Alright team! Today we-..." she stopped briefly, looking around a few times; it appeared it had only just dawned on her that she wasn't in the environment she thought she was...

"... This isn't Beacon... Is it?" She asked blankly... As if on cue, some other person stepped out, yawning quietly, it looked like she too had just woken up; it was quite unusual to have missed two individuals on the bus, but, someone, everyone had managed it.

She carried a strange weapon strapped to her back, but, at first sight, it looked like some sort of sniper rifle with bright yellow bits here and there... Though, it didn't look like any model from Earth, in fact, it looked like it came from the same place that girl in red had.

The Weapon

She turned towards the red haired girl "Looks like we're thrown into Russia... But... We've gone back at least 30 years in time..." she said... The girl in red sort of nodded, and was about to speak some more, but, just then... The gates creaked open, and a girl wearing a Pioneer uniform stepped out.

She looked a little surprised actually to see the considerably sized crowd gathered at the gates "Hi... You must be new arrivals, right?" she asked, it would appear that there was no longer a barrier preventing entrance to the camp gates. Upon realizing this, Semyon blushed as he ran forwards "Er... Excuse me, do you know where the bathroom is?" he asked, "Past the two clubhouse buildings, then to the left." she said, smiling kindly as she stepped to the side, allowing Semyon to zip past... Welp, looks like he's off already. The girl turned back to the other arrivals, looking at them with a sense of interest; some of the items they carried after all weren't from her time period, but, it didn't seem to bother her greatly at all.

There were three options here:

A) Talk With The Pioneer girl: Perhaps she could have some answers? Or at least allow you to get better bearings about this place?
B) Head Inside The Gates: If you don't want to strike up a conversation with the Pioneer girl, there's always the option of exploring on your own, though, one may have a bit of trouble navigating at first.
C) Stay At The Bus Stop: It seems a little cooler inside the gates, but, if you really wish to stay at the bus stop for whatever reason, you can... It'll probably be very boring though.

Yato pocketed the two nickles. What was with these wishes that he couldn't quite fulfill? In a way, he felt as if he were being mocked. At least a bit. Sure he was a minor god, but he was still rather powerful. Especially with Yukine by his side!

Speaking of Yukine, the blonde was studying N curiously. Truth or Ideals? What a strange yet interesting question. The more the amber eyed boy pondered over it, the more he thought about the fact that he was, well, dead. That, was the truth. Just that one word. The word dead soured his mood a bit more, almost like a dark cloud was brewing at his core as slightly darker thoughts began to surface. Depression. There was a small hiss of pain beside him, snapping him out of it almost instantly. Yato was holding the nape of his neck, as if he had been stung.

"Sorry Yato, I didn't-" the blonde's eyes widened in concern.

"Nah, it's fine. You're a kid, it happens sometimes." The minor god brushed it off. Rubbing the back of his neck slightly before removing his hand.

Alex shrugged his shoulders. He was down ten cents, but that was okay. "Hey, never mind the delivery stuff. How about we head inside the gates? Seems like everyone else is going in there now."

The girl looked up, clearly surprised "N-No... I'm Lena." she stammered, looking towards Hajime a little, she seemed a bit hesitant about responding...​

Crap, I scared her! Now she's like a doe in the headlights... "S-Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you, Lena," Hajime stammered before pausing for a moment. Dammit, how do I fix this...? He pushed his hand out, holding it out for her to shake, "My name's Hajime." Smooth.
