In the Grasp Of the Enemy W/Icystorm

Eddie leaned against the wall and sucked her breath in as the medic undid her bandaging and the doctor's bandage Her knee looked nasty. The whole knee cap had been shifted and there was a large bruise covered most of the bandaged area and stretching out of it. The stitches had ripped open and the actual bullet wound was oozing a bit because the bandages had been taken off and had ripped at the scabbing. The edges of the wound were an angry red, but it didn't look awful for what had happened to it in Eddie's opinion.
The medic cleaned it making Eddie clench her hands because it stung painfully. The wound was rebandaged tightly and she was handed a small bottle of water. Eddie sniffed the water first, it smelled funny. She wasn't sure if it was just bad water or drugged. She felt a little bad about drinking water in front of Seth when he'd had none, but after she thought about she'd probably had no water for more time because Seth hadn't joined her in prisoner-hood until a while after she'd arrived here.
Eddie drank the the water down at a good pace not too fast but not slow sips like was generally recomenned either. The water also tasted funny but felt good on her parched tongue and throat. The medic checked her vitals, checking her blood pressure, pulse, etc and then stood up nodding to Alkaev saying Eddie was fit for what was planned for her.

Seth watched the medic as he cleaned and rebandaged the wound, not once looking at Teodora. He wanted to make sure that was all they Russian medic did. It was not likely he had other orders, but it was safest to not trust those he now had to consider his enemy. Before he had disobeyed orders he had quite liked this medic, maybe even considered him a friend and the person he could trust the most. Now he had to scrap those feeling. After having lost the last of his childhood friends a few months ago it was harder than expected to turn away from a potential friend. Hopefully in all this darkness he would gain a new friend, assuming they survived. When the medic stood up and nodded Seth clenched the belt tighter. If only he could use it against Alkeav. Doing that could mean worse torture for Teodora though so he kept still, hating he could do nothing but watch them take her away. His eyes narrowed as Alkaev nodded his head at the medic then at him.

"Ubedites', chto on ne pytayetsya nichego."

The medic nodded once and stood in front of Seth. "Ne krasivyy sushchestvo , chtoby posmotret' na bol'she ty ?"

Seth turned his face away. "Vy slepoy durak . YA vsegda budu krasiv. Shramy tol'ko dobavit' k moyemu sharm." He had to bite his tongue as a bought of laughter escaped the medic. The sound of Alkaev approaching Teodora caused his heart to sink. He felt bad for not giving her some sort of reassurance but if he looked that way he would probably do something regrettable. Instead he closed his eyes and waited for the three of them to leave the room, the sound of Alkaev dragging Teodora away ringing through his ears."

"Make sure he does not try anything."
"Not a handsome creature to look at anymore are you"
"You are a blind fool. I will always be handsome. Scars only add to my charm."

Eddie grunted painfully when she was lifted up and dragged away. It hurt her leg a lot. She felt worried and even a little scared as she was taken down a long hall to a different room. She didn't know what was in store for her, but it couldn't be pretty or comfortable for her.
She was strapped into a chair so she couldn't move while they prepared for whatever they were going to do for her.
She stared straight a head pressing her lips tightly together and praying hard for strength because she knew today was going to be rough. Eddie wanted as much of her mental faculties with her because she needed to be able to escape tonight if they got a plan together.

Alone in silence Seth opened his eyes and looked around the room. It seemed larger, but as he continued to stare the walls seemed to close in around him. Without Teodora the room now seemed menacing. That should not be right though. He was used to being alone. The place he most considered home was an empty, run down house on a forgotten street. Most people stayed away from that street due to the rumors of some of the houses being haunted. It was quiet, relaxing, and he had needed no one. This place was a different story and he could not figure out why. Shaking his head sent a wave of fire through the stab wound on his shoulder. Distractions and the numbness from cold water had dulled the pain and now that both things were gone the pain pushed itself to the front of his mind. Touching it his fingers came away painted with blood. Standing up he walked over to his shirt and pressed the cold fabric against the wound. Once it felt better and the bleeding stopped he did the same to the worst of the bruises as he waited for them to bring Teodora back.

Hours, that's what it had felt like to Eddie. She was totally limp when she was dragged into the cell. She was wet hair was pasted her to forehead. Her eyes were rimmed with red and she was shivering hard. Her clothes were all messed up and t-shirt was torn. There were blood stains on her shirt and on her trousers. Bruises were prominent on her arms and neck. Her lip was split and bleeding slightly.
Eddie was dumped against the wall of the room and the people who brought her in left.
Eddie curled as best as she could when she was put down. She was freezing cold and shaking because of its her teeth were chattering.

Seth crawled over to Theodora, taking in the state she was in. They had definitely not gone easy on her. What did he expect? Them to dunk her a few times and let her go? That would never happen and he knew it. She would either break and give information or die protecting what she knew. Leaning his back against the wall he looked at her, looked away, and then looked back at her. Words had all but left him so instead of speaking he placed a hand lightly on her shoulder and once again looked away.

Eddie sucked her breath in when her shoulder was squeezed. She was huddled up as much as she could with her injured leg trying to warm up. She honestly didn't feel much of the other pain because she was so cold. The water had been freezing and the salt had burned. She wished there was a blanket in this room or a heater or anything that would warm her up.
Eddie almost unconsciously moved closer to Sett because he had body heat that though it probably wasn't actually much seemed to radiate off of him to Eddie's heat starved body.
Eddie was releaved it was over at least for now. She'd kept her mouth shut but had felt her thinking get foggier the longer and harder they went.

"Rest up. When you are well enough we can fix your leg." He gave a glance at the belt to make sure it was still there. It was. There was no where it could have gone but it was hard not to make sure in this place. Better to be safe than sorry. The biggest worry was her being wet and cold. Those two combinations were never good. "Just don't get sick." That would be..that was it! That would be the way to get out while both taking down whoever came in the room and seeing if anyone was waiting on the other side. Feeling slightly guilty about the plan in his head he scooted closer. He could at least try to warm her up a bit without making it too awkward.

Eddie nodded. She didn't care if he moved closer, it made her happier actually because he was warm.
Eddie nodded listening to him. He had his belt so she could make a brace of some sort to support her leg enough to walk on.
The young medic slowly sat up trying to not let them think they won, she leaned against the wall and wrapped her arms tightly around her chest she was visibly and violently shivering. She still have a half smile though as she leaned against the wall and slightly into Seth.
Eddie ducked her head down as his huddling more,
"You g-gotta pl-plan?" She mumbled through her chattering teeth, she hid her face from the camera so they couldn't see what she said.

Seth took in a deep breath as moved to sit up. It was probably best to move some so not to get too stiff, but he knew how hard it was after the ordeal she went through. He sat still when she leaned against him. He should wrap one arm around her, but not being used to that kind of contact he could not bring himself to. The question left him unsure what to say. It was not that he did not trust her, he just needed to be convincing enough for whoever was watching through the camera, and Teodora would help make it believable. "Maybe. I guess whatever happens just be ready. If it happens it will happen fast." He lifted his hands and ran his fingers through his hair. "Once we get out of this room the only plan there is is to find and exit and not die. Possibly grab anything useful that is within reaching distance while running, walking, whatever it is we have to do to get out."

"So...no plan?" Eddie concluded. She leaned against Seth, she was too tired and cold to care about how awkward it might be for him. Her head barely rested on his shoulder and was slightly huddled against him. Unlike Seth, Eddie didn't feel comfortable stripping her wet clothes off even though it was the best idea to avoid becoming hypothermic.
Eddie wondered about Seth...why had he gotten a moral compass for her? What was his past like? Was he actually from Russsia? His name didn't sound very Russian. She tried to keep her mind busy, get it off how cold she was.

"Not much of one, no." Seth replied somberly. He forced his body to relax as she leaned against him even more. He had never been good at giving reassurance or comfort, the dead could vouch for that. His friends would have too, all in their own way. Seth gave a small laugh. "I once had a friend who could talk himself out of any situation." And if talking was not involved he had been good at evading death. "We could have used that skill right about now." And the luck. But maybe the luck made up for everything that was lacking. Or, maybe, it was not luck at all, but skill honed by someone who possessed the capabilities needed to wield it. Or more accurately, someone who lacked what would have prevented him from using the skill.

Eddie nodded and sat up. She sniffled, the cold water was making her nose run. She hoped she wasn't getting a cold or something worse, Eddie didn't need to get sick that would't help.
She reached over and grabbed her discarded blouse which was bloody. There was a big tear in it down the middle of the collar. She started to attempt to tear her blouse in half. It was a stuff enough material she could use it to make a brace for her knee. It took a lot of huffing and puffing to rip the blouse, which was made out of material that wasn't supposed to rip. She then made two stiff rolls of fabric,
"Give me your belt." Eddie requested as she positioned the rolls of cloth where they needed to be to make the proper brace. It wouldn't be a good brace but she might be able to walk with it.

Seth reached over, pulling his body away from her for a few seconds. Fingers wrapped around the belt he moved back into a sitting position and handed the belt to her. She seemed to know what she was doing, he just hoped it would be enough. Now that she was fixing her leg he could begin the plan and hope his acting was good enough. He rested his head on his knees and closed his eyes. Avoiding looking at anyone directly was crucial for this to work. The eyes spoke truth and his actions would not be truthful. "I'm feeling a bit tired. Need a few minutes. If you need me..let me know." He hid his clenched fist and slowed his breathing to a calm pace.

Eddie wrapped the belt around her knee cap, but left an open spot for the nee like a brace would do. It wasn't a good brace and she wasn't sure how well it'd work. She glanced at Seth and nodded slightly, he seemed to be acting funny, but she didn't know him that well so how would she know? Maybe he was acting normal.
Eddie pressed her back against the wall and carefully stood up. She couldn't really rest weight on her bad knee but the brace was good enough so she could awkwardly stand. She sank back down, not confident enough to try walking on it. And not wanting to show too much of what she'd done to the camera. Eddie rested her head against the wall behind her. She was still shivering and chattering, but it seemed to be going down so either she was warming up possibly becoming hypothermic. She hoped it was the first choice.

Staying as still as possible Seth's breathing gradually became harsh and uneven. It was not terribly hard to accomplish. Not screwing up would be the hard part, especially with Teodora being a medic. How much time had passed? 10? 15? 20 minutes? Hopefully enough. His body collapsed sideways and his hands reached for his throat, opening and closing weakly. What would she think of this? He knew he would feel terrible about it later but it was all he could come up with. No. Stop thinking and just act. Keeping an irregular breathing was harder than he expected and wearing him down. He would have to slow it down soon so not to pass out. Closing his thoughts and feelings off to everything around him he concentrated on what he was doing.

Eddie turned a concerned gaze towards Seth when his breathing changed and her eyes widened when he collapsed on his side. She started to move towards him when he made the choking signals. Wait what? What could be choking on! Neither of them had eaten since they were put in this cell right? Eddie didn't spend too much time thinking about that she shifted herself to try and closer to Seth's head and looked him over, was there really an emergency? Or was he faking? Why would he be faking?
Eddie frowned confused as to what to do. If this was seth's plan it seemed very mea to not let her in so she understood what was going on. She started to try and perform first aide on Seth because she didn't want to not help him incase this was real, and she didn't want to screw up his escape plan if it wasone.

Seth could here Teodora move. That was good since it meant she was worried and her worry would convince those watching them that there was something wrong. He just needed to keep this up until someone come. Surely someone would, wouldn't they? Best not to think on that. Think of not passing out instead. Think about what all this was for. Think of the freedom. He continued his breathing performance he could feel Teodora and when she made a move to 'help' him it gave him the chance he needed. She would probably hate him for this but it was a chance to get more air. He pulled in a lungful of air and screamed. It held a small amount of pain and anger but what he was really going for was terror. The scream was held for a few seconds before he curled his arms close to his body and whimpered quietly.

Eddie felt suddenly very worried. She heard people rushing down the hall and the door slammed open. Before Eddie could do anything else she was shoved to the side as a medic and a hairs rushed in.
Eddie watched Seth, if this was a plan stuff was about to go down. If it wasn't then she was probably about to lose her cell mate. She paused up against the wall and stood up ready to move of the opportunity showed itself. She was nervous and in pain but escaping was more of a priority then comfort right now.

Footsteps. Seth's heart started beating fast at the sound and when the door opened he had to force himself not to jump up. His breathing slowed, and he made sure to add a sound of distress every few breaths for good measure. Everything around him seemed to slow. The medic reaching down to check his pulse and temperature. The words of confusion that arose from not knowing what was wrong. The medic telling someone to go see what he should do. All seemed to move at a snails pace. The wait especially was long. When the man finally returned he listened to the orders that were given. Everything was spoke in Russian since the medic could not speak anything else. They were to take him to do a full examination and find out what was wrong. Sickness was not something that was needed to be spread around. The medic told whoever else was there to make sure a room was ready, a curse escaping him when he realized he would have to carry Seth by himself. A pair of hands grabbed Seth's ankles and as he was drug he let his body spread out. The medic swore at Teodora in Russian, asking what the hell she was looking at, and Seth wished he could swear back. Almost, but not yet. He heard the door open and once he thought he was halfway through his eyes snapped open and ripped a foot out of the grip and kicked as hard as he could. He watched the medic hit the wall on the other side and slump unconscious. Standing up he turned around and motioned for Teodora to come, giving an apologetic smile in the process.
