In the Grasp Of the Enemy W/Icystorm

Eddie only nodded slightly. She was desperately trying to keep a hold of her thoughts even though her control seemed to be slowly slipping away from her. Her breathing was frenzied and gaspy because of her attempts to not laugh. It took her almost 5 minutes to full regain her composure she leaned the back of her head against the jail wall and closed her eyes. They needed to get out of here, she'd be able to walk if adrenaline kicked in. They also needed a plan for when they were out they were in enemy territory they'd need to stay low. Seth wouldn't even be able to just waltz into places since he was now labeled a traitor.
Eddie took a few shakey breaths wincing at the movement to her rib cage,
"We have to call Alkaev back...tell him we decided you would go first. When he goes to grab you, we'll subdue him...somehow and then use him to get us out of here." She suggested. She wasn't sure if Alkaev would go with their decision on who would go first or do just the opposite. Either way they had to subdue him, possibly use him as a human shield to get out, though that thought turned her stomach. She didn't like the idea of a human shield, but if needed they had to get out of here.

Seth waited for her to regain control. It seemed to last a lifetime and every second drove him crazy. It was a relief when she spoke, her voice didn't sound the greatest (he doubted his own did either though), but she had come up with an idea, and one he liked the sound of if it meant ridding him of some of this anger and hate. "I can imagine Alkaev will enjoy that decision." He gave a twisted smile, and with his eyes already filled with cold darkness, it gave him the look of a wayward demon. At this rate the biggest thing would be to not kill Alkaev in front of her once they escaped. Would he really be able to let the man go though? Taking in a breath he stood up and walked to the door. And roared out the hated name. "Alkaev!" He banged the handcuffs against the door a few times to get the attention of anyone in the hall or watching through the camera. "You worthless fuck. You..I-" A list of threats and insults ran through his head but he spoke none of them. Instead he looked at the ground. "We made our decision." He moved back over to Eddie and sat down in front of her, not taking his eyes off the ground. He didn't know when Alkaev would come. A few minutes? Possibly a few hours?

Eddie felt her heart beat quicken. She watched the door nervously waiting for it to open. The waiting was the worst part. It was like waiting for the drill instructor to bust your door open and wake you up but worse.
Finally Eddie heard footsteps coming to the door. Her mind was going through every scenario where their plan could go wrong. What Alkaev sent someone else in? What if there was more then one person who came in? What if he decided to just kill Seth right there?
Eddie felt her stomach doing flip flops as the door started to open.

At the sound of footsteps Seth moved to the other side of the room. He did not want to give whoever walked in an easy access to both him and Eddie. He also wanted them to be in separate corners in case one of them needed to block the door. The door opened and Seth could not help feel a surge of satisfaction when Alkaev walked in alone. There had to be a catch. Looking Alkaev over he quickly saw what it was. A gun. That could be problematic, but if he or Eddie could get a hold of it they would be a step closer to getting out.

"So who is the lucky person that gets to go first?"

Eddie's thought now echoed in Seth's head. What if Alkaev decided to shoot him then and there? Not wanting to give Alkaev more satisfaction that would be given already Seth looked Alkaev directly in the eyes. "I am." As he held the man's gaze he slowly shuffled closer, hoping that closing even a small distance would make a difference.

Alkaev shrugged his shoulders, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "Not so chivalrous now are you, Pyrel? Too bad. If she lives then I don't get to have any fun." He took out the gun and lifted it in Eddie's direction.

Bastard! The word screamed in Seth's mind as he lunged. His body crashed into Alkaev's as a shot rang out. He did not know if the gun went of before or after he hit Alkaev but before anything he needed to get it away from Alkaev. While the older Russian was regaining his balance Seth flung his cuffed hands around Alkaev's head and pulled, stopping the flow of air. "Drop the gun or I will snap your neck." He tightened the grip for emphasis. It took a few long seconds but finally Alkaev released his grip on the gun and it clattered to the floor. As soon as the gun hit the floor Seth looked at Eddie, needing to make sure she was alright and not.. "Eddie?"

Eddie jumped when the gun went off. With the tussling that happened they'd got turned around and it'd fired at Eddie, but she'd moved into time for it to just graze her ear. Eddie jolted forward as soon as the gun hit the floor and grabbed it. She looked it over quickly and pushing herself to her feet, kept a good grip on it, though she kept her finger off the trigger like she'd been trained to do,
"Let's hurry...that shot will bring guards." she said. She signaled for Seth to go first with Alkaev out and she followed behind him, checking down hallways and holding the hand gun. She heard boots running down a near by hall,
"Fastest way out." she half told half asked Seth. She aimed her gun down the hall with noises coming. Gaurds were running she could hear them getting closer, about to round the corner of the hall and come into her line of sight. She raised her gun and aimed as steadily as she could in her condition and waited for Seth to lead the way out of here.

Seeing Eddie was alright and had the gun Seth nodded and stepped out into the hall, Alkaev in front of him. Knowing one direction would be suicide he walked down the opposite hall, keeping an eye on both Eddie and Alkaev. "If we die, so do you." He was not sure if that would be enough to keep them alive if the guards caught up or if there was a surprise waiting for them up ahead, but it was worth a shot. The footsteps were getting closer and he looked at Eddie, wondering if she would shoot if it came to that. A few seconds later it the sound was right behind them, the guards had caught up. "Can you shoot? If not I am doing something stupid."

"I'm a Texan Sailor assigned to the Marines you bet your gravy I can shoot." Eddie drawled. She winced at how cliche southern she sounded then just shrugged it off. She turned around and aimed at the gaurds rushing towards them
"Got any plans or do I just shoot at will?" She asked not wanting to screw anything up.
Eddie wasn't an expert marksman by any means but she could hold her own. She'd become a medic because she preferred helping over killing, but that didn't mean she wouldn't shoot to save someone else or too follow her duty as a sailor for the United States.

Seth released a small laugh at her words. "Glad for that Texas Sailor." Now did not seem the time for laughter or jokes, but that was how life worked. In a life or death situation sometimes it was best to be as happy as you could. "No plans. Feel free to shoot at will." He adjusted his grip on Alkaev and gave the interrogator a little more air before tightening the grip again. The last thing they needed was to lose their live shield. He surveyed the surroundings and finished mapping the path in his head. "Two minutes." It was an estimate but if they could keep going for approximately two more minutes they would reach an exit. Pray it not be blocked.

Eddie shot low and hit the knees of the of the two guards running side by side almost in the hall. They both collapsed and fell froward blocking the way of the others. She quickly shot the next too, one in the upper leg the other she hit in the groin. She winced when she did that and the guards screamed dropping to the ground,
"Oops." she muttered semi-apologeticaly. She hadn't actually meant to do that. "Hope you weren't planning on having any kids..." she added under her breath. She glanced behind her as she limped behind Seth. She was walking backwards sos he could keep an eye on the guards. The young medic felt relieved when a door that presumably led to the outside came into view. She hoped they weren't in a heavily guarded compound or outside might be more complicated than inside.

Seth cringed as he heard what Eddie said, and he felt Alkaev do the same. It did not matter who the guy was, where he came from, what he had done, there would always be pity when something like that happened. Shaking that out of his thoughts he approached the door and shook Alkaev none too gently. With his cuffed hands being used to keep hold of Alkaev he could do nothing else. "Open it!" He saw, with reluctance, the other man reach up and open the door. As it opened he glanced around for whoever might be lurking outside. This area was never heavily guarded but there was always one or two guards here. "Eddie, there should be a guard or two out here. I don't see them and time is not on our side so..pray for the best and prepare for the worst." He stepped out into the open and started to run. If the guards were hiding they would shoot at him first, and if he did not get hit he would double back and help Eddie. That was if the guards were out here.

Eddie followed him out moving the gun around to try and cover all areas. She closed the door behind them and dropping to one knee covered for Seth as he ran across the open area towards the fence that surrounded the compound. She watched closely until he made it to the fence.
Eddie took a deep breath and tucked to gun into her waistband. This was going to hurt. She moved as quickly as she could across the clearing. The medic had to practically drag her injured leg. When the gaurd had hit it with a baseball bat it'd disrupted her brace. The ground was cold against her bare feet. She dropped down next to Seth and quickly searched him until she found a knife. She started to cut fence wire.

Running proved difficult with Alkaev. As long as he held onto Alkaev anything might become difficult. The question was, why wasn't Alkaev struggling? They were out of, what would be for the older man, immediate danger. Or, maybe not. The threat of a broken neck still hung over the other Russian and struggling might make that happen on accident. As he reached the fence Seth released some hold and Alkaev sucked in a deep breath. He would need to get rid of this burden soon. Turning his attention to Eddie he watched her cross the clearing, ready to..do something..if the guards decided to show up. Luckily she made it with no trouble (except that of her leg) and started cutting the fence. Once it was big enough he let her go first and followed behind.
On the other side he made his way to an area hidden from view of the building. Looking at Eddie, but unable to make eye contact, he nodded at the gun, requesting to see it.

Eddie slipped through the fence and made a dash for cover in the near by woods. The woods would be hard to navigate with her leg but if they stuck close to tuberose but hidden it might be easier.
She glanced back at Seth and Allaev. It was strange. The older Russian wasn't struggling at all. Maybe he had a plan...maybe he knew something was about to go very very wrong. Whatever it was it couldn't be good.
Eddie took the gun from her waist band and held it out to Seth keeping a good grip on in case Alkaev did anything stupid. She gripped the knife she'd stolen from him in her other hand. She felt very worried. They needed to keep moving they could hear the alarms going off in the near by prison camp. Guards and dogs would out looking for them in no time.

In one quick movement Seth removed his hold on Alkaev and kicked him to the ground before taking the gun. Alkaev had rolled onto his back and sat up, taking in gulps of air like it was about to go out of season. Seth looked down at the man in disgust. He would never have allowed himself to be put in this situation without a fight. Even now, if he were the one on the ground, he would have decided to go out fighting, not dying like a dog on the ground. Whatever happened to it is better to live on your feet than die on your knees? All the hate he felt for the man and more flooded through him. Everything Alkaev had done and would do flashed quickly through his mind. He could not allow this man to live.

"What do you plan on doing with that, boy?' Alkaev asked, referring to the gun. "It is not as easy to kill a man as you may think, especially if you have not done it before."

Seth stared down at Alkaev with cold eyes full of resolve. Alkaev knew nothing and one should never assume something about someone they don't truly know. He waited for the other man's eyes to widen in understanding as the realization hit him. Yes, he had. "In mercy." Seth said as he lifted the gun and pointed it at Alkaev.

Eddie sucked her lip in and just turned away holding her knife tightly. It didn't feel good or right to her. Just executing someone, yes it was someone who'd done some evil things but it still didn't feel right. If he did go back and hurt more people though it would be on them.
"Seth, stop." Eddie suddenly said. "We can't be judge, jury, and executor...it ain't right. It why I was fighting here." She voiced.
"Tie him up with his own clothes and leave him somewhere. We can cut his hamstring so he can't walk, but if we kill him we're no better then he is." She suggested. She wasn't sure it was a good idea, but it was better in the conscience. Someone would find him if they left him here.
Eddie thought she heard guards. They needed to get this done and get it done now because they needed to be out of here and moving on before they got caught again.

Seth kept the gun pointed as he listed to Eddie. Why couldn't they be judge, jury, and executor? He had been the top dog while on the streets and that was not much different. No one ever died but if someone stepped out of line they would learn fast not to do that again or get out of town. Alkaev was way out of line so death seemed the best option. But if that was the reason Eddie was fighting in the first place then he could put her cause first and his thought process second. Kneeling down he quickly struck the butt of the gun across Alkaev's head, knocking the man unconscious. After making sure Alkaev was truly out Seth removed Alkaev's shirt and shoes with difficulty and checked the mans pockets for keys to the handcuffs. No keys but there was a lighter that might come in handy later. Picking up the clothes, lighter, and gun he approached Eddie. "If Alkaev threatened anything he will try to make good on it." He warned before walking in a chosen direction.

Eddie just shrugged. She found a stick a little big for what she needed it for, but it'd have to do. Using the stick to assist her in walking Eddie limped after Seth.
Once they could get far enough away for safety they'd need to make a plan. Wandering the lovely terrain of Kagystan was not going to get them anywhere they needed.
Eddie honestly wasn't sure what they'd be able to do. Of she was on her own she might be able to find some sympathizers or make her slow way to an outpost but with Seth being an enemy soldier it made everything a touch difficult. Then again Seth was going to be a great help because she was injured. Eddie gritted her teeth as she attempted to make the least tracks possible with her stick and dragging leg.

Seth listened to Eddie follow behind, the sound gradually becoming quieter. He was walking too fast. With a glance upwards he slowed his pace. If dogs were coming then they were in big trouble. There was no way to mask your scent from a well trained hound, and the faster they moved the more skin cells they would drop, making it easier for a dog to find them. On the other hand, speed might be the only chance they had. A dog was normally tied to the handler so if they could outdistance the handler they would be good to go. Two people who had just went through literal torture, one cuffed, the other with an injured leg. Even if he carried Eddie they would never outrun a dog and handler. His eyes moved down to the gun. No way in hell were they shooting a dog. The handler on the other hand.. That still left the problem of shooting first before getting shot. His eyes wandered over the terrain before resting on the trees. "Eddie. Do you know any way to get these handcuffs off?" He knew a way but would much rather use it as a last resort. The handcuffs needed to come off, but the idea he had would only need to be used if they heard dogs.

Eddie looked up at him. Despite it not being warm out sweat was beading on her corneas from the effort of trying to keep walking and dragging her leg with her. She listened to Seth's question and nodded.
"Yeah...sorta. I can pick the lock if I have something small and sharp. Not amazing at it." She warned. She hobbled a long as she thought hard about how they were going to go about surviving.
They needed to get someway to fix her leg up or move faster with an injured leg. They also needed to keep a low profile until at least they could find a no-mans land or an American out post. They needed supplies too.
This wasn't going to be easy.

Seth listened and thought about her answer as he looked at the handcuffs. "Ok. If we find the right size stick while walking then it will be worth a shot." It would be a lot better than trying to dislocate his thumb. Turning to look back at her his face grew concerned, so he slowed until they were walking next to each other. "You can lean against me if you want." He was starting to really feel his injuries but compared to her leg they were nothing. "There is also the boots I took from Alkaev. They might not fit well but might be better than nothing."
