Johnson waited for the person to give out their name when a new voice, one that sounded vaguely Russian, told them his name was Sergei Kravinoff. The possible Russian then added rather reluctantly that he meant no harm. The marine was skeptical. The man could very possibly be a insurgent, but yet again he was in a situation where talking bunnies strapped explosive collars onto their necks so anything could go. Then the other voice said they had two options, work together or fight and die. Working together was preferable to death so he climbed the few remaining stairs and leaned around the corner. He didn't fully expose himself, only placing a foot slightly out with his upper torso out as well in case a fight brought out. The marine also had the grappling hook at the ready as well.
The man that presented the options said his name was Leo Barnes. He stepped out and Johnson looked him over. The man looked like the average white man with a five o clock shadow. The guy also kinda looked like shit like he had seen things. Johnson guessed the man may have seen what the Covenant does, the alien bastards. However, it was at least good to see he wasn't working with anything that wasn't earth related... yet.
Also, Leo had tonfas. That put him in a disadvantage because if Leo got close enough all he needed was a good whack alongside the head and Johnson would be out like a light. Or at the very least cause a massive headache.
"Sergent Avery Johnson of the UNSC marine core," Johnson said while still somewhat hiding behind the wall. He would carefully watch their movements, alert and ready should they attack.
