As they are waved over, Molly scampers towards Lexi, wondering when she's going to be able to knock down some walls and bust some heads. She does pay attention to the briefing, hopping up and down in place as she does. She looks in the direction of the building excitedly as she is given her marching orders with Mike. And when Lexi goes to make sure her and Mike have the plan in their heads right, Molly just constantly and absently says
"I know. I will. I know!"
They break the huddle, and Molly calls out towards her crew
"And try not to die!" Her favorite battle-cry. Iceman goes into action, and Molly is dashing towards the first of the guards. She'll take one of them, let Mike try to handle the other. But she'll of course be keeping an eye on him, just to make sure he doesn't get in over his head. And that guard seems surprised that suddenly there is some kind of disturbance. He seems almost disoriented for a moment, which is the perfect chance for this child to slip in under his radar. Literally. The guard starts to raise his rifle towards Molly, but she gets to him first. With a soft grunt she punches him right in the gut, pushing him off of his feet for a moment. He actually throws up in his mask from the force of the punch, crumpling into a heap into the fetal position. And as he does, Molly flexes and stands over him… well she hops foot to foot as she grins widely.
"Ha ha you suck I win!" She exclaims softly.
She looks in Mike's direction as she still hops from foot to foot… but it's then she notices something else.
The guard's name is Kadar Sabry, and he hasn't been a part of Cobra for terribly long. Originally, he was a bounty hunter working in the Middle East mostly. He sometimes did mercenary work, but he preferred bounty hunting. It was usually foreigners that the ruling warlords (whoever they were for the week) needed gone. But that changed when United Nations Special Forces swept through the region and killed most of those warlords, most of his employers. He had gained a reputation in the region, and that's why Cobra recruited him. He has been in 3 firefights already wearing the blue and black uniform. He doesn't mind killing, especially when he thinks he's fighting against tyrants. Against the false promises of freedom democracy offers. And tonight, he finds himself at a guard post in National City… the United States of America. The US is just as bad as he had heard it was. He was happy to bring his gun here, to help the cause that is Cobra.
Kadar stands at his post, and for a moment he sees movement down the steps. His eyes narrow as he draws up his rifle and gives chase, moving with an efficiency born of a lifetime of fighting. He gets to the bottom of the stairs, and now sees they've been breached. He mutters to himself "Ebn El Sharmoota" and he dashes forward, raising his rifle.
And this is the part where Molly comes in. She saw him coming, and she now runs right at Kadar, a wide grin on her lips.
Now say what you will about Kadar…but he wholly believes that what he is fighting for is right. And the paycheck doesn't hurt, he does have a family to feed. And part of that family is a child, no older than Molly. Seeing someone coming at him (before it registers) he draws his rifle up and aims it at Molly as he comes to an abrupt halt. His aim would be flawless, he's a crack shot. But he doesn't pull the trigger. He hesitates… he is suddenly very confused. All he sees is a child coming at him, and for the first time in a very long time he has no idea what to do.
He has murdered many in his life, captured and been responsible for the deaths of many more… but he will not fire on a child. Of course, he has no idea he probably couldn't hurt Molly bad at all with that rifle… all he sees is a little girl. He sees someone as young as his own boy. Kadar starts to lower his rifle as his mind tries to catch up.
And that's when Molly gets to him.
She grabs the barrel of his rifle, that barrel bending a little with the force of her grip. She yanks it from his hands with his shock, his eyes wide as he watches the rifle being pulled away from him just like that. And once more his mind is yet to catch up to what's happening… and that's when Molly uses his own rifle like a baseball bat and cracks him in the side of his head. His head whips to one side as he stumbles, seeing stars. His helmet took a brunt of the impact, I mean that's what it was designed for. Molly continues to grin widely as she now snaps the rifle in half, tossing the halves away.
"C'mere!" She says as she reaches up and grabs the front of his uniform. She hefts him up with one arm, holding him over her head. She then slams his down to the floor as she grits her teeth, her eyes glowing a bright pink color. Kadar hits the ground
hard, passing out from the impact. His helmet is cracked, his head having a small injury now, bleeding slightly. Molly stands over him, her chest heaving with excitement as she tries to catch her breath. But…
She sees his helmet is broke, and some blood.
"Oops" she says softly, and she kneels down as her eyes stop glowing. She undoes his helmet as she speaks softly, ninja mission and all.
"Hey buddy, 'm sorry. I didn' think I hit ya that hard… ya know? Ya got intern hurties? Don't be mad at me, kay?" She probably means internal injuries, but can't think of the words. She takes off his mask as she stands, hearing him groan in pain. She smiles and gives the unconscious man the thumbs up.
"There ya go, dude. See ya didn' die." As she stands over him she puts on his helmet, giggling to herself.
"Oh this helmet is awesome! Even if it's broked… Imma hafta find a unbroked one…"
And as she admires the fit of that fine helmet, one of the other guards draws his sights in on Molly, and she has no idea he's there…
