Here's my first one. If this is fine, and things go as I hope, then I might add a second - a female mermaid type - water witch concept. IDK though... We shall see.
Name: Meric Donovan Faceclaim: Mathias Lauridsen)
Age: 110 (24)
Sex: Male
Nationality: Scandinavian
Race: Dhampier
Occupation: He is a student at Indiana University Northwest working on his Bachelor's degree in BioRobotic Medicine. Works part-time as an IT Tech at a local logistics company.
Appearance: Dark grey eyes that tends to lighten up to a dusty blue at times. His head is full of dark blonde hair, and these days he's allowed it to grow out for him to sport a gentleman's ponytail. Usually, his attire consists of denim straight-legged jeans and a turtle-neck or button up shirt. Sometimes he can be caught wearing a vintage black jacket or grey vest over one or the other - always with his signature white cotton gloves. And, if you're lucky, you might spot him wearing glasses; an unnecessary tool he doesn't need right now, but are so use to them after wearing them for so many years he's just use to them.
6 Facts:
1. Endearing, charming, sly, sweet, and slightly compulsive in the lying department (he hasn't always been, just an acquired taste over the years). Not as if he does so on purpose, just tends to say what's needed to capture others attention for himself.
2. He cares about people, but doesn't care much about hurting others. So, being forced to become a blood -sucker is truly not his cup of tea in any way, shape, or form.
3. He doesn't care to do things that requires too much of him, unless it's something he loves or for someone he seriously cares deeply about. So, he's basically lazy...or, he would say, more like very spoiled. He just like to do what he likes to do.
4. Meric suffers from Mysophobia, the fear of germs through touch. Go figure, right? For someone studying medicine, and being a Dhampier no less, you would think he would realize that germs are irrelevant to him. But it was his horrific turning that somewhat triggered this fear in him and it hasn't changed even after his turning. He tends to wear a pair of cotton gloves to protect his hands, and he constantly washes his hands. This fear is what pushes him away from fully embracing his vampiric life or getting close to others. In his mind, metal and electricity are cleaner than skin; yet, he's embraced studying medicine in hopes he can break this phobia within him. As long as he's wearing gloves, he can manage
5. He's more of a healer, a lover, than a fighter. He has a knack for developing poisons. Has over the years, learned healing through psi - spirit healing. He's not as proficient as the vampire elder who took him under his wings to teach it to him, but he's getting better every day. The only problem with anything he does is, well.... he has to use his hands.
6. The odd power Meric tends to naturally show as he fiddles with his robotics is his uncanny understanding of machines - at a subconscious level. To this end, he can comprehend the flow of mechanical energy in any device he comes across, disassemble, alter, or replicate it. To this end, once he has a clear goal for a machine in mind, and a wealth of resources to draw upon, he can create it with relative ease. However, when done in this manner, Meric can rarely explain how the machine works. He must take it apart in order to replicate the results, or infer the possible consequences of the machine's operation.
This ability was something that developed way before he was Turned. He's never determined just when it began in his life, but he recalls throughout his childhood how difficult it was for his parents to watch TV, listen to the radio, surf the Web, drive a car, work the blender, or work on any electrical or computer - like item in his presence.[/Spoiler]
