HAIR
Jet black that's either usually hidden underneath a hoodie or a headdress of some sort, but when he's not wearing neither he'll usually have his hair styled up with the help of a tiny touch of wax.
EYES
Dark brown that tend to turn more and more chestnut brown during the brighter seasons.
SKIN
Very pale and surprisingly smooth with a silky feel.
BODY
Skinny, but still holds enough muscles to be able to keep himself both agile, quick and somewhat strong. His lower body holds more muscles than his upper, though it's not terribly noticeable without some keen eye for such things.
HEIGHT
5'6" / 173 cm
WEIGHT
133 lbs / 60 kg
DRESS
Toby loves to dress in clothes that aren't too restricting. He doesn't wear baggy pants, but tends to also shy away from incredibly skinny jeans. He's usually found in sneakers that are easily taken on and off, and there will always be something on top of his head, be it a hat or a hoodie, he's rarely ever seen without it.

PERSONALITY
Playful - The world is his playground and he plays with it as much as he wants to. People are his playmates and he has as much fun as possible, he never knows when's the time to not crack a joke because it doesn't exist. If a smile is ever needed, then there's no way in the world that Toby isn't going to be able to draw out that smile somehow.
Energetic - He has a backup generator to his backup generator, never being able to run completely out of steam. Just when it seems as if he's getting a bit tired or have worn himself out, he bounces back with even more energy than he had before, never sitting still or resting unless he's sleeping.
Charming - Toby is the kind of person that
knows how to use his words and phrasing to his advantage. It makes him slightly cunning and sly, but he
never uses this ability for his own gain. Most of the "sweet talk" he does for others is something he really means, but some of it is exaggerated.
Observant - Even if he might not seem like the sharpest knife in the drawer, Toby observes the area quickly and can catch the faintest of details. He's quick to notice stuff like a trip at the salon for just trimming the tips of one's hair, and he's quick to notice a person that's walking far far off in the back somewhere.
Curious - If there are some sort of unsolved mystery with an "unsatisfactory" answer, then Toby is there to find a better answer (even if it doesn't exist) himself. The unknown and the unsolved about the world and others bother him to no ends, making him into a true saying of: "curiousity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back."
Troublemaker - Doing what he's told or "following the rules" only really works if Toby agrees it is the most beneficial to him. If he disagrees with it, then he probably won't do it and might even sabotage whatever he was actually asked to do, simply because he is bored. He'd never risk his life for the sake of entertainment in a time of boredom, but he would definitely try and spice it up a bit.
Friendly - Toby is an
incredible easy person to approach, and even if no one approaches him he'll probably end up approaching them. He's outgoing and doesn't really mind meeting someone new, even if they aren't too happy about it.
Cowardly - In a physical dangerous situation, he's there, he's even enjoying the thrill of his life being at risk, but at a psychological dangerous situation (such as in a fight or him being called out) he'll flee at the first opportunity, not wanting to be a part of it nor to talk about it, even if it concerns him. He tends to run away from his problems, rather than facing them.
Adrenaline junkie - He enjoys the thrill of the chase, to risk his life a couple of times for the sake of the adrenaline rushing through his veins. He rarely ever does it if it also concerns someone else's life, but sometimes he just feels for adding a tiny bit more adrenaline, trying his best to not make it deadly for either parts.
Free-spirited - Wherever the world takes him, the world takes him and there's little he can do with it. He likes to go with the flow, to be free spirited and simple minded. A lot of him finds him stupid for it, but those words go in one ear and out the other.

HABITS
- If Toby is nowhere to be found, he can always be found napping in either a random back alley or a rooftop somewhere depending on the weather.
INSECURITIES
His biggest insecurity is that he'd never be able to find someone with his attitude and personality, but because he likes it as much as he does, he cannot stop himself from behaving in such a manner. He's also afraid that his appearance will add to the reason he'll grow up and die alone.

POWERS
Enchantment calling - The ability to grant an enhanced state(s) to oneself and others.
Shapeshifting - The ability to change forms.
Transmutation - The ability to alter forms/structures of beings/objects.
STRENGTHS:
Enchantment calling - Toby is able to call upon different enchantments (strength, defense, mind and speed) which can be activated on himself or others at different times, depending on what is needed when. Defense will make one's body more resistant to damage (for example being hit by a car will have no effect) and mind will make one's mind work faster (such as thinking through strategies faster, escape routes or next attack).
Shapeshifting - He has the ability to change his form from a human being and a cat. He can also transform minor parts of himself, such as making his hands or feet smaller, or grow wings.
Transmutation - Toby can change the forms/structures of whatever is around him by simple touch, making a piece of wall into a very handy weapons shall the time come.
WEAKNESSES
Enchantment calling - Toby can only use two enchantments at a time, and the enchantments might have unlimited uses each day, but they can only be focused one place at a time. That means he cannot increase the strength in his hands and legs in the same instance, instead he'd have to do one and then follow it up by the next.
He is also unable to give more than one enhancement at a time to a person, having to wait until one enchantment has wore off until he is able to give a new one.
Shapeshifting - The only animal form that Toby is able to take is that of a black cat, any other animals he cannot transform into.
In an alternative human form (which has to be male) his eyes become slanted and thin, seemingly like that of a cat, which is also something he cannot change, alongside his gender.
Smaller transformations like wings doesn't last for more than ten minutes, disappearing no matter where Toby might be at after the time is up. Before he can alter his form again, he has to wait a whole hour as a forced resting time for his abilities.
Transmutation - He is only able to transmute ten times a day, the amount of times he's able to transmute resets when the sun has done a full cycle around the world (during sunrise).
Toby can only transform something into something of equal amount. A tiny piece of fabric cannot turn into a dress, because there's not enough of fabric to do so. He can also not harden the material or soften it, making a knife made out of feathers incredibly ineffective.
Ears and tail - In his everyday normal form, he is unable to do anything about his black ears and tail, having to use clothes to hide it from normal human's sight, so that he is able to blend in properly with the human society.
His ears and tail are also
incredibly sensitive to touch, making all touches at the mentioned areas very ticklish, but also his weak spots.
HISTORY
Tobias Wheaton was adopted from South Korea when he was four and a half month old, giving him little to absolutely no memory from his time spent in Korea. He was adopted by Serena and Daniel Wheaton in Apple Peak, where he spent the first seven years of his life.
It was strange. The first seven years had seemed so well, but perhaps it was a child's naivety that saved Toby from realising the truth, but the mercy of knowing an inevitable truth and being able to brace oneself for reality was always appreciated, but Toby was sure that either way there was no way he'd make it a lighter situation.
On May 14th his parents had taken him out to a park. They had gone for a picnic and stayed in the park until it turned dark, when it turned dark Toby was told to wait by the car as his parents were just going to clean up after them.
It was on May 16th that Toby realised they weren't coming back. He had stayed in the spot for two whole days, only moving to buy himself from the little kiosk that belonged to the park with the money his parents had left him, it was later he discovered they had left him a little note explaining the situation to him. That they had financial problems and were unable to care for him any longer. Apparently his uncle was meant to pick him up, but the man had never showed up.
Like a stray cat walking along the streets, Toby ended up wandering aimlessly. He was only a child, but he already begun learning things that most children shouldn't have to. It was his way of survival, he taught himself how to steal and how to get away with it, to be quick and to be on the move, to get away from police chases.
At the age of ten, he lived as a stray cat, a true black stray cat.
This was how he spent an additional five years of his life, walking and running across the streets on four legs, however one day a particular old lady had gotten interested in him. She would give him milk and whatever leftover she had left, pet him and pour her worries over to him. Little by little he felt attached to her, even staying at her home at night sometimes in the warm in a home knitted cat bed that she had made for him. She didn't call her "Tobias" or "Toby", but "Charlie", which he didn't really approve of, but what to do when she thought he was a stray cat?
However one day the doctor came over and explained that she had an illness and it would only get worse. She didn't have the money needed for a treatment, so they told her that at best she had a week left. Of course the old woman had taken this news sadly, but then she had smiled to him and said that she'd finally be able to see her son now that he had a reason to visit her.
The first two days no one visited her.
Toby could see himself in her, how she was scared and disappointed, at a lost of what to do. She was without a family to. He had spent several weeks in the house now, he knew how her son looked. He knew how cruel it was to her, but he shapeshifted himself into her son, pretending to arrive at her door. "Her last moments should be spent with family." he explained it to himself, allowing the elderly sick woman to embrace him.
They spent the last week together. Toby was taught all sorts of things, things he didn't know about human society that as a child he was never taught. He was taught how to read and write, how to treat others that the world wasn't such a sad place as he had imagined it to be.
On the last day they were only sitting by her bed, unlike the other days where they had walked outside and gone shopping together, gone to the park and more. She had been coughing all day, her voice too meek to utter words. Toby had given her water, medicine, food, but he knew that this was the end of the line. She wouldn't last much longer.
In her final moments she had reached out to him and gently embraced him, only to whisper in her last words before her body fell limp.
"Thank you. . . Charlie."
Toby had only smiled and allowed his black ears and tail to appear, silent whimpers and cries leaving him.
"History really has a bad habit of repeating itself. . . "

- Toby is currently homeless and tends to either sleep out on the street or borrow the houses of people that are gone on a holiday.
- Sometimes he prefers his cat form more than his human form, though he tends to stay in his human form more to able to talk and not scare people to death.
- Whenever he "borrows" something, it actually means that he has stolen something, since he learned it at a very young age.
- Even if he is homeless, he doesn't smell nor look bad as he occasionally borrows other people's bathrooms and clothes in order to take care of himself properly.
- No one ever knows that he once went by the name "Charlie" and even to this day he's not especially fond of it, preferring "Toby" over anything. "Tobias" always gets him a bit annoyed.
- After Helen died, he turned back into being a stray cat, turned to the streets and eventually turned into a different life entirely.
