"Hmm." Mystique eyes Steve Rogers up and down, appearing unimpressed, disappointed even. "I have to say Captain Rogers, looking at you I am honestly surprised you leave any woman....disappointed." She smirks and pointedly looks over at Logan. "He, on the other hand, could certainly give you pointers on that." She says chuckling, knowing not by any kind of telepathic ability but intuition the question Logan has burning in his mind. Mystique spares everyone the details for now.

While she was looking pointedly at Logan, Laura poses the real questions for her. Mystique remains calm and stoic while the girl speaks and holds herself back.

"You are right Laura. That was me who came here on the motorcycle, and its been me ever since." Mystique answers with a calm affect to her voice "And I was unaware you could also detect my scent when I changed from Hill. I have been very careful ever since." Mystique jingles the cuffs and asks "Can these come off now?"
 
Wanda

Wanda is a young woman. Despite her degrees.. Her powers.. At her age she is still looking for parts of her life. To make her feel complete. There are men and women here she feels a bond with. That she feels admiration for.

She puts her hands on the blue womans cheeks. Her face has an expression of concentration. She reaches into the mind of the woman known as Mystique.

" I cannot feel any connection to Hydra in her. What little she has told us is the truth. "

For just the briefest moment, her eyes find Uncle Logans and she blushes. It doesn't last long. She herself had relationships while away in college.

She delves deeper than she thought she would. Something about Mystique drove the younger Mutant to do so. Finally she releases the shapeshifter. Wanda has an advanced degree in psychology.

She leans in close to the woman once known as Raven.

"Mystique, like Laura, my first instinct is to not like you for deceiving us. I have had a moment to understand better, I feel as Captain Rogers does now. So many shapes and faces... All of them taking a tiny piece of you. It feels like you've been hiding behind all these masks for a long time..you may not know yourself who you are. I would urge you now .. Perhaps it is time to pkay the part of yourself with us. All of us, we could use another intelligent and capable teamate.. Is this a piece of your true self that you can still access ?"

Wanda stops talking for a moment..briefly moving around the room and touching briefly all of the others in there.

" Captain Rogers?. I have taken a more thorough read of everyone in here. There are no connections to Hydra with any of these people. Laura is also telling the truth. She was trained to go into a frenzy when exposed to certain smells. But I think I can fix that. Jones, Fandral, the medical specialist, I have re read, they are still clean. I would like to get a read on Jubilee and Wasp at some point. "

She removes her hands from Mystique now.

"I will read all the remaining agents before we move as well. I apologize for not doing so earlier. I have to admit, I live rather in awe of some of you. It made me lazy.. I forgot I had a brain of my own. Now, if it's all right with you Captain.. I could really use a snack and a shower. "

Susan

Susan Storm was in the control room monitoring things in the security cameras. Monitoring personnel actions and movements. The quick computer check came up negative for virus activity. Outside cameras could not find anything disturbing at the moment.

(( Over the radio )) Captain, when you get a moment, I could use relief here in the control room. I ran in here in my nightshirt. "

There was a sense of humor in Susans tone.


Fandral

Fandral's body was already trying to knit itsel back together. There was some lung damage. Asgardians heal much faster than humans, though not as quick as Logan or Laura. Meanwhile, Fandrals unconscious.. Subconscious dreaming mind was enjpying the close proximity of his friend Jones.

Daredevil paced around the room taking in the atmosphere, studying vocal patterns, and his one great gift listening to heart rates. Mystique was the mutant's name and though she was a mutant her heart rate was steady and calm. Daredevil sat on the edge of the table with his back to Mystique and said, "She isn't here to kill us. If she wanted to do that she wouldn't be this calm and collected." Daredevil reached over and lightly tapped the cuffs and said, "If she was determined to play her own set of rules Mystique could easily shape shift into someone with smaller wrists and the cuffs come right off." Daredevil shook his head and said, "She is wanting to talk to us about this situation. The removal of the cuffs is an act of good faith on our part." Daredevil smirked and said, "I don't see anything wrong with the request."

Just then there was a knock on the door and the door opened almost as the knocking was done. Standing there was Nick Fury. He looked around and said, "I hear we've had an interesting situation here this evening." Fury looked at Cap and said, "I trust you all have this in hand." He looked over to Daredevil and said, "A word with you in private."

Hope heard what Jubilee had said and she replied, "In most cases I would agree with you, but in this case part of it is HYDRA is playing psychological warfare with me." Hope removed her leather bracelet on her left wrist and showed a HYDRA branding on it. She said, "I was a prisoner at one of their facilities and I escaped. They wanted me to know that they can find me and strike at anytime." For the first time since she had escaped Hope was somewhat shaken but in her soul she knew that the only way for her to have a normal life again, or at least a life free from HYDRA, was to strike back and take them out once and for all.

The prospect of a life free from HYDRA alleviated her shaken feelings as she said, "Regardless, they can come all they want. I'm not afraid. They started this war but by God I'm going to see to it that it come to an end on my terms."

Just then Fury approached with Daredevil behind him. He said, "A word in private."

Hope joined Daredevil and Fury in a hallway. He said, "We got lucky with one of the drones. We were able to trace the signal to a source on an island just outside of Costa Mirada near Cuba. They don't know that we know this yet, but we have to move fast to keep them from finding out what we know. I can't send in the entire Avengers team. One, they are busy with the Mystique situation but secondly if we send in the entire team they could be ready for a huge assault. We need some recon work done on their facilities, and to gather some intel on the base itself. I'll have another agent her name is May she will be coordinating the op just on sight with you both. To say she is good is an understatement and I trust her with my life."

Hope asked, "Why just us? Is this some rookie hazing?"

Daredevil replied, "Simple, they don't have a file on you and me as of right now. They don't know what to expect from us."

Fury nodded and said, "Exactly, besides with you two stealth is your specialty and we need that right now."

Hope asked, "Isn't it ironic you're counting on a blind lawyer and a, literal, flighty heiress for you mission?"

Fury shook his head and replied, "I know I realized that on my way over. Wish you all had someone who could stick to walls and maybe swing from webs. They would be a welcomed addition." Fury looked at his watch and said, "I got a car waiting to get you both to the airport, and wheels up in 20 minutes. You'll get your full mission briefing enroute. I'll explain your absence to Cap." He gave a quick glance to the two of them and said, "Good luck and good hunting."

Daredevil glanced over to Hope and said, "Let's do it." Hope replied, "I'm always up for a road trip."

And with that they were off the base in a matter of minutes.

Lincoln Campbell

Lincoln ignored what she said and opened the door and just shrugged when he saw that they were in bed together. Ehh, who was he to judge what his other teammates did in their free time? It wasn't like he was a saint and hadn't slept with a co-worker a two between working for SHIELD, working for Jiya and just working normal jobs in general. His first girlfriend and the reason he drank alcohol was also a co-worker he knew. " Needs are needs and I honestly don't care what you do with the other teammates, I doubt you actually did anything in the state Fandral is in anyway. So, I'm just going to book this under patient-doctor confidentiality if anyone asks if I saw anything that happened or off with what happened with Fandral."

Lincoln checked the other man's wounds as he said this to make sure he was healing well and seeing if he needed additional treatment.

Captain America/ Steve Rogers

Steve Rogers should have known that he walked into that trap and that was the depressing part about it. He had walked right into her one liner and took a deep breath knowing that was what she wanted. He ignored her comment for the most part and concentrated on something that he hadn't thought of until now. " How long have you been Miss Hill? Also, when we were facing Magneto, did he have any way to tell that was you or know you were a part of our team?" He asked her, before looking over to Wanda.

" It is good to know that the others are mostly okay. Please don't be insulted by this, but please also read the mind of Logan and Mr. Murdock when you have the chance, it's better to be certain everyone on the team can be trusted... then to not know at all. I believe that covers everyone as four of our teammates has left just as quickly as they came. And as much as I wish to not seem paranoid, please also read Ms. Storm and myself," he said, not honestly wanting Wanda to read either of them as he had hoped to keep their relationship secretish.

" Also, if we get any guests or helpers, please also read them. Yeah, being in awe can do that. Wonderlust is something that is very real and dangerous. I am okay with you heading off for a snack and shower," he said, before he heard what was coming on over his comms too.

" I'll be right over as soon as possible, I know after everything that just happened, I'm not going to sleep easily tonight anymore," he replied over the comms.

If Logan were a less mature and less angry man, he might have blushed at Mystique's not so subtle hint at the extent of their relations while also roasting Rogers. In a better situation he might have even laughed at his expense or played off it with something like 'Lessons are strictly BYOW, bring your own woman'

As it is however Logan continues to glower at Mystique as she's questioned and evaluated by the others. At Fury's arrival Logan thinks he would verify what the woman has been claiming. But no such luck. Evidently there was something even more pressing. All the same the way Fury saw Mystique and didn't think to comment is also telling of how he doesn't see her as a threat. Coming from a man whose job is threat assessment, that has to count for a lot.

Logan steps forward and says to those still in the room "If you all don't mind, she and I have some personal matters to talk about. So we'll need the room." He then emphasizes, for anyone thinking to stay behind. "Just. Us." While looking Mystique in the eye.
