"Well, we are of the Assassin class," Jack says as she holds the pokes the scythe to see if there would be any reaction, before taking it, apparently at the same time that Chucky grabbed it.

Theo noticed that there was a front door or rather there used to be one, but it seemed to have vanished. He was silent, as he peered inside the place to see what was around.

Theo cautiously placed his foot on the floor board, checking to see it would collapse, but also catious of traps that could be around for him to discover. He looked for anything out of the ordinary as he entered the house, perhaps a shining light or something that seemed intact despite the entire place being in goddamn shambles. He figured there was something.

The light he had seen had mysteriously vanished. Despite everything having fallen to decay surprisingly the fridge was whirring softly like it was still getting electricity from somewhere.

You didn't have to tell Grell twice. All that time trying to save that dumb girl, and not only did she die, but so did some little sock thing! Yeah, she was done. Running back the way they came, Grell would drop her branch in the clearing, then use the lighter as she ran to try and start a fire. This thing was NOT coming after them!

Some of the kindle actually started to smoke as the fire started to spread, but at the speed it was going it was going to take awhile before it spread through out the forest.

This wasn't how it was supposed to be.

They were supposed to make their escape from this hellhole. They were supposed to be free to live their lives as they wished. They were supposed to be able to live through this, to be happy with one another back home. They weren't supposed to die.

Choking back tears as that cleaver impaled Makoto then smashed down on her head, Joker had to choke back a sob... before his expression twisted in vicious rage, his eyes settling on the monster with determination. He wasn't going to let this fucking animal get away with this, not without trying to take vengeance. His hand found the grip of the knife Queen had given him, and his feet carried him forward. He didn't care if he died in this desperate attempt at revenge as he leaped towards the man, weapon poised to slash away at the monster.

All that mattered was seeing the trapper's throat slit, no matter the cost. Maybe it would even buy the group further time to escape.

Queen woke up in a shock from a warm bed. Looking around she realized she was laying in a pod of some sort, and hers did not seemed to be the only one though they all seemed to be closed for now. She saw that another was open too that seemed to house Kuro who was also now awake.

While the part of the room you were in now seemed to house a multitude of these pods the other part was open and bare with but a single door leading out and a window staring into space.

Both of them realized also that their powers had return them. If you had died then where were you now?

As Theo was opening up the fridge door he'd hear a slam like a chair falling to the ground. If he looked up he'd notice the girl calling herself Yuri had landed on the ground from somewhere.

The only way inside seemed to be at the front door, or well, where the front door would have been back when the house didn't look like it would fall at a seconds notice.

Peering inside he'd see a less pristine kitchen right in front of him. There seemed to have at some point in time been stairs leading to an upper floor but the entire staircase had rotten and fallen as a heap of murky wood on the ground. The floor seemed sturdy enough to walk on however so investigating the lower floor could still be done.

Looking inside there did not seem to be any sort of traps around. It appeared to have been used for equines in how it was built like a stable of sorts. Rusty equipment like a scythe was hanging on the wall, fairly typical things in what you'd find in an abandoned barn.

One thing did stand out though and it was a pristine looking jukebox leaning against the wall on the other side. If only you had a coin to liven up the place.

Queen's protector did little to deter the cleaver that cut the sock in half and the force was so great that the cleaver slammed Kuro down on Queen's back and cleaved right through the Pokemon as well embedding it in Queen's back. Admiring his work for a bit the Trapper removed the cleaver from her back and slammed it down on her head.

In one swoop this monster of a man had eliminated two among them. At the moment the Trapper seemed spellbound looking down at his work so perhaps now was the time to make your escape.

Not wanting any part of fighting a guy who could take multiple axe hits and keep on going, Numahime decided she had no reason to stick around. Joker might have felt the need to try to take him down, but really that just wasn't going to pan out as far as she could tell. Best idea she had was to use the bear trap she'd found while...oh, that actually wasn't such a bad idea.

"Hey, if you're gonna fight you might as well win, right?" Numahime spoke to Joker, assuming he lasted long enough for her to explain things to him. "There's a bear trap in that little mound there. You're never going to kill him if he could take those axe swings, but you can at least get him stuck and maim him. Don't you think?"

She gestured subtly towards the mound she'd found earlier. It was hard to tell if the Trapper could understand her so she wasn't sure whether to try to be more subtle about it, but there was hardly time for that. Besides, it was likely he knew about his own traps. But even if he'd placed the traps, that didn't mean he would make sure not to get caught on them while also in the heat of battle, right?

Joker didn't notice the smoke and flames that were beginning to spread, instead chalking up the sweat on his brow as the result of his own exertion. For now, he simply focused on the Trapper, a smirk on his lips as the bastard stumbled back. So he could at least be thrown off his feet... ducking under the slash of that menacing cleaver, he went low and aimed for the killer's legs, aiming to dart between them and cut at his ankles.​

Still, this was a relatively new place, so Kuro tried to go outside the room they are currently in.

Without saying a word, Robert slotted the coin he found into the jukebox. It had been a harrowing adventure to find the coin, so it was only fitting that Robert could use it for a simple pleasure.

"Any requests?" he asked.

While the Trapper didn't seem to feel pain the multiple ax strikes to his arm was enough to let Ethan escape his grasp. Instead of re-focusing on Ethan however he turned his attention back towards the downed Queen and her court, raising his clever high and swung down at the downed girl.​

Ethan let out a sharp gasp as the Trapper let him go, having to take a while as he was dropped in order to recover from the attempted strangulation. It was one thing that his oxygen supply was cut off for a moment, it was another that it felt like his throat was almost a little crushed, but thankfully it didn't seem like there was any lasting damage. Of course, the man had other things on his mind right about now.

His eyes widened when the Trapper had successfully killed not just Queen, who was presumably the original intended target to begin with since she was caught on that bear trap, but also that weird sock-like creature that followed the group along like a lost dog. Guess if it wasn't a place for normal people, it certainly wasn't a place for things like that, whatever the hell it was doing here in the first place.

Still, a tinge of regret struck Ethan for being unable to save the girl. It felt like he'd been brought back into the past, but still, she seemed to just be a kid who didn't belong in a place like this. The same went for her little boyfriend there to a degree, who seemed intent on joining his lover in death. Ethan clicked his tongue, not seeing the practicality in such a choice, especially after seeing what the Trapper was capable of taking, as well as Grell starting a fire that slowly began to rise throughout the forest. Still, if he wanted to be a man, a man that took responsibility for his own choices no matter what path it led him down, then Ethan would not question it. That was his business, and a stranger like Ethan had no business interfering.

As their fight began, Ethan decided to get in one last attack, raising his ax and swinging it into the Trapper's Achilles tendon. Regardless of whatever the effect was, Ethan quickly removed the ax following that and began to make a break for it, following Grell out of the area, briefly stopping to try to grab a hold of Numahime by the arm.

"I think it's time to go already!"

Yuri nodded. She realized she hadn't introduced herself at all. "Oh, I'm Yuri." She said politely and quietly, picking her book up off the floor.

The swing of the door revealed that there was a blinking light inside, but Theo would need to open the door more to get a clearer look. With the angle he could see that there at least didn't seem to be any food inside or anything like that.

The jukebox whirred to life playing a slight country western tune. Sherry had come up to the jukebox now as well and noticed that most of the song choices remained dark but the number 66 was flickering on and off. "I hope you don't mind but I'll try that one."

Pressing the button caused no music to play but the jukebox whirred and clicked open revealing a passage leading down.

He moved to angle more and pull the door even closer open so that he could get the full view of the fridge. He wondered what the blinking light was. He also was prepared to move if he heard anything that could go wrong, in case the object was dangerous.

Seeing no sign of danger, Vlad entered the room. As for the scythe... well, it was a farming tool. His subjects used it to cut crops, when they managed to grow in Sylvania's corrupted soil. Even with his pride set aside, it simply wasn't a very practical weapon. Seeing as he didn't even know what a jukebox was, it only stood out to him because everyone else seemed to notice it.​

The vampire barely had time to marvel at the strange music box before Sherry pressed a button, and a passageway was revealed. "Well, that looks very, very safe, doesn't it, comrades?" He moved to angle more and pull the door even closer open so that he could get the full view of the fridge. He wondered what the blinking light was.
