Sprinting into the cryogenics alongside the rest of the gang, Risky Boots' mind was racing as fast as her heart. With adrenaline beginning to stimulate both her body and mind, the pirate's calculating eyes bounced back and forth across every inch of their new surroundings. Tuning everyone else out, Risky coasted steadily through the centre of the room, appearing entirely detached from their mad scramble for the lone minute Junior spent ordering everyone to hit the lever. The lever? Risky's attention snapped towards the simple machine in question, and upon finding it, her features were twisted and gnarled by a truly villainous grin. "O-hohohoho!~" Risky Boots cackled, "Evil minds really do think alike, Junior! Time to blow the lid off this whole operation!" she commented, before running up to grasp the lever. "Now, let's see who's behind door number-..." Risky paused to do a quick headcount of everyone gathered, excluding Junior, "two, three...ah, door number five!" she exclaimed with the enthusiasm of a gameshow host, and dramatically cranked the lever.

"You dummies are so dumb!! Pull the stupid lever! Maybe it can help us!!" Bowser Jr yelled. At first he wanted to see what it did, but now that weird scientist guy was hot on their tail, so this looked like the only viable option.

The boy had cut himself off when he heard the suggestion from Yato, his cool instantly having returned. Welp...

His attention diverted to Risky at some point, noticing that she had pulled the lever. "Ah, it seems Risky-san has taken it upon herself to pull the lever. Now we wait..." The boy was slightly tense and ready, but didn't seem particularly worried.

"Mind Over Matter"

"Hold on…" Yumeko put a hand in front of Gon, eyeing the vice president.

"I'm very sorry, but we need to hurry to finish cleaning. We could get in trouble if we were found slacking off. Perhaps we can show the letter later?"

"…….." A long silence filled the air as the vice president contemplated Yumeko's words. "…very well. You are free to go. Take these with you." She would give them each one blue coin. "I will see you all later…assuming you survive."

They left the room, Yumeko turning her coin over in her hand. "I didn't want to say anything, just in case, but…the vice president seemed to contradict herself just now, don't you think? Saying to fight back earlier, then to retreat now…" Instead of seeming upset, a small smile formed on Yumeko's face.

"What an unpredictable girl~"

Once the rooms were all tidied up, Hina and Hiyorita would be greeted by the manager. "Oh, thank you so much! Please, take this as a thank you!" He would produce a Shine Sprite, giving the two a faint glow just like always. "Please head on down to the casino on the first floor," he said once the other three rejoined. "There's a young man waiting for you."

"A casino? How fantastic! Oh, if only we could enjoy it without worrying about death…" Nevertheless, Yumeko made her way down to the first floor.

Finally, the fiery goop was all cleaned up. "Yaaaay! You guys really are the coolest!" The Piantas cheered for the group, producing a Shine Sprite for those who cleaned up. "Good luck! We hope Talon dies!"

Mary looked at the Piantas with pure disdain. "This is so creepy…"

As they all waved goodbye and cheered for their favorites, the group was sent off to Sirena Beach. Upon entering the hotel, Mary immediately made her way to Yumeko.

"What were you thinking, running off so suddenly? Had I known, I would've followed you!"

Yumeko smiled innocently. "Oh, I know!"

Mary didn't know how to respond for a moment.

"Er, well, uh…let's go get this next game over with, huh?"

Casino Delfino was a small casino, but it boasted some fancy slot machines, as well as a giant roulette wheel in the center of the floor. Each area on the wheel hosted a desk, and at the center of the wheel stood a young man before a card table. As they approached, he adjusted his glasses.

"You must be the convicts," he said rather bluntly. "My name is Kaede Manyuda. I'll spare you all a long conversation-I'm sure my fellow student council members have annoyed you all enough. Pick the two who will be sitting this game out, and use those coins of yours or not."

"Well, he doesn't seem very fun…"

The lever deactivates the tube, and a body falls to the ground. A loud thump can be heard as Krieger slams against the door. "Ha! I can hear you all, you know! You aren't clever!" You could hear him start for the doorknob.

"Doctor? What are you doing?" The voice had been rarely heard by the group, but it was definitely Kirari.

"Oh! Uhhh, nothing. Certainly not dealing with some difficult children, I can tell you that much."

"I see. Well, if you must deal with them, I suggest doing this." From the other side of the door, the group would hear a click! as the door was locked from the outside. "They can stay in there until they can't stand it…if you ever have to deal with them, of course."

"Aha! Well, that's useful…if I ever need to deal with them. Which I don't. Because it's all under control."

"Very good. Oh-perhaps you should take that tranquilizer gun out of your pocket. That's quite dangerous…"

"Oh. Uh…that's, uh…not a tranquilizer gun." A pause. "I'm gonna go and, uh…yeah."

They leave, but not before Krieger whispers, "FYI-there was never any candy."
In the following silence, the person from the tube sits up with a groan, and you all can get a good look at her.

"Ugh…"

Ignoring Krieger's belittling big-talk entirely with a flip of her waist-length hair, Risky Boots moved to approach the tube girl, her grin going nowhere fast.

Belittling big-talk was her shtick anyway! Who did these people think they were, talking down to her and waving guns around like cavemen? They were a disgrace to everything villainy stood for.

Passing the koopa kid a more genuine smile, Risky lightly patted his head. "Ah ah! A good villain should know the difference between barely conscious and dead, Junior. Villains who don't go through arch-nemeses like toilet paper," the lady-pirate lectured, "Sure, learning the difference may end in some humiliating defeats. Humiliation you'll keep in the deepest darkest pits of your heart 'til the grave. But it's all worth it to keep a healthy relationship with your perfect arch-nemesis,"

"Oh, and, thanks for the compliment. Anyway!" she finished very flatly, and bent forward to come eye-to-eye with tube girl, "Welcome back to the waking world, long-and-blonde. Do you know where you are and how you got here? Or may I take a wild guess and say you're down with a bad case of selective amnesia?"

"Hold on…" Yumeko put a hand in front of Gon, eyeing the vice president.

"I'm very sorry, but we need to hurry to finish cleaning. We could get in trouble if we were found slacking off. Perhaps we can show the letter later?"

"…….." A long silence filled the air as the vice president contemplated Yumeko's words. "…very well. You are free to go. Take these with you." She would give them each one blue coin. "I will see you all later…assuming you survive."

They left the room, Yumeko turning her coin over in her hand. "I didn't want to say anything, just in case, but…the vice president seemed to contradict herself just now, don't you think? Saying to fight back earlier, then to retreat now…" Instead of seeming upset, a small smile formed on Yumeko's face.

Once the rooms were all tidied up, Hina and Hiyorita would be greeted by the manager. "Oh, thank you so much! Please, take this as a thank you!" He would produce a Shine Sprite, giving the two a faint glow just like always. "Please head on down to the casino on the first floor," he said once the other three rejoined. "There's a young man waiting for you."

"A casino? How fantastic! Oh, if only we could enjoy it without worrying about death…" Nevertheless, Yumeko made her way down to the first floor.

Finally, the fiery goop was all cleaned up. "Yaaaay! You guys really are the coolest!" The Piantas cheered for the group, producing a Shine Sprite for those who cleaned up. "Good luck! We hope Talon dies!"

Mary looked at the Piantas with pure disdain. "This is so creepy…"

As they all waved goodbye and cheered for their favorites, the group was sent off to Sirena Beach. Upon entering the hotel, Mary immediately made her way to Yumeko.

"What were you thinking, running off so suddenly? Had I known, I would've followed you!"

Yumeko smiled innocently. "Oh, I know!"

Mary didn't know how to respond for a moment.

"Er, well, uh…let's go get this next game over with, huh?"

Casino Delfino was a small casino, but it boasted some fancy slot machines, as well as a giant roulette wheel in the center of the floor. Each area on the wheel hosted a desk, and at the center of the wheel stood a young man before a card table. As they approached, he adjusted his glasses.

"You must be the convicts," he said rather bluntly. "My name is Kaede Manyuda. I'll spare you all a long conversation-I'm sure my fellow student council members have annoyed you all enough. Pick the two who will be sitting this game out, and use those coins of yours or not."

"Doctor? What are you doing?" The voice had been rarely heard by the group, but it was definitely Kirari.

"Oh! Uhhh, nothing. Certainly not dealing with some difficult children, I can tell you that much."

"I see. Well, if you must deal with them, I suggest doing this." From the other side of the door, the group would hear a click! as the door was locked from the outside. "They can stay in there until they can't stand it…if you ever have to deal with them, of course."

"Aha! Well, that's useful…if I ever need to deal with them. Which I don't. Because it's all under control."

Gon remained somewhat silent as he and the others had traversed out of the hotel and into the nearby casino where some of the others already were. Yumeko's words and attitude toward the Vice President were somewhat suspect, but certainly, if Gon had to pick who was more trustworthy, then the answer was obvious. Indeed, the Vice President had some rather contradictory elements to her as far as traits went; had she been altered or influenced in some way by the mysterious mastermind while they weren't looking? Considering the talk of cameras she mentioned earlier... Well, whatever. This already was too much thinking for the young boy as it was.

Figuring that he may as well make use of the blue coin given to him, as it was the first even though he knew that they were apparently close to the end of the ordeal, Gon decided to turn in his one blue coin for an advantage just like the Doctor and Ernesti, cracking his knuckles in order to get himself back in the spirit of things.

"I wonder what kind of game we're gonna have to play. Haven't had to do much before, but that's no reason to just sit back! That's how you get rusty!"

With that, Gon began to rapidly perform some physical warm-ups, notably all sorts of stretching and erratic movements, awaiting the next trial eagerly.

Being asked to vote for those with immunity was a common theme, Yamashiro thought. And she thought of voting the same way as each other time, it seemed. Though the voting never gained immunity for them, however, she realized they were all still alive and well at this point with such voting... so Yamashiro saw no reason to change now.
