Chapter One
"Civil Blood in Civil Hands"

Once the time had passed, a voice, notably that of Co-Commander Kyoko Kirigiri's, would ring out from the intercom throughout HQ, indicating that the temporary recess from the meeting was coming to a close, and that it was time to go back to business.

"Attention, all those in recess from the multiverse meeting, please begin to gather back into the meeting room, and prepare to reconvene."

With that said, everyone would begin make their way back into the meeting room, including Nurse Akiko Yosano, manager Doppo Kunikida, Kieran, Meira Franz, and even high-ranking members such as Makoto Naegi and Byakuya Togami. The crowd was rather large, making it a little hard to keep track of whoever you might have been walking with, though it was of little consequence. Right?

From the corner of Ilona's eyes as she would walk with everyone else back into the meeting room, she would spot a strange figure, obscured from clear view, heading off not towards the meeting room, but in an entirely different direction. Off towards the Library...

After spotting the mysterious individual, Ilona felt inclined to turn around and follow after them. For all she knew, it could've been someone who missed the announcement. If that was the case, the young woman felt she should offer this person a kindness and let them know so they wouldn't miss out.

ibokvzW.png

"Excuse me!" Ilona would shout out, following after the stranger. She made her way for the library, certain she saw the person wander inside. She opened the door and began to head in, looking around to see if she could find them.

However, mysteriously enough, when she would enter the library, Ilona would be unable to spot anyone around. The place seemed to be empty, as though nobody had entered at all. Strange... It couldn't all have been part of her imagination, right? However, a continued search wouldn't result in very much, until...

CRASH!

A heavy mass would fall from the upper floor of the room and slam right onto one of the many tables, breaking it. It was almost as if the mass were thrown violently from above into the table, though what it exactly it was, would remain unclear. That is, until the dust would settle, and the sight would suddenly become clear as crystal to Ilona.

The dead body of agent Jill Valentine lay on top the wreckage of the table, motionless.

Her eyes were open in an unsettling manner. There was no doubt she had been attacked, judging not just from her expression, but also the bruises on the front of her neck, like she had been strangled, only for her neck to ultimately broken with the fall. However, if Ilona would look up to try to find who had done this to her, she would ultimately find no one around. The culprit had escaped as quickly as he had made his way into the library...

But Ilona wouldn't even look around to try and capture a glance of the culprit. No, the young woman couldn't find it in her to see past this tragic display before her and worry about who may have done this awful deed. Her blue eyes remained fixed on the body, as if she were in a trance. The princess stared into Jill's cold, lifeless eyes, a feeling of unfathomable distress overcoming her senses. Tears began to stream down her cheeks.

UCUqey6.png

"N-No, this can't be!"

The blonde was used to seeing death around her due to her travels across the multiverse. Yet, somehow this death felt different to her. Jill Valentine had been a friend, an invaluable ally to both her mother and father during the first recorded Murder Game. Seeing that she had been so close and yet had not been able to prevent this tragedy created a feeling of deep regret in the princess. It was as if she had not only let Jill down, but her parents and everyone who had known Jill as well.

Knees trembling, Ilona began to take unbalanced steps back as the walls of her chest rapidly contracted around her lungs. She squeezed her eyes shut and lowered her head, clamping her hands over her ears. The sight of this despairing picture had entirely shattered her emotional control, and the loss of said control invited a dark presence to fester and grow within her, expanding at an alarming rate.

This very presence was what the Coalition dreaded, the same threatening energy they had been discussing in their meetings. This unstable energy of malevolence bubbled until it would burst from its host. Ilona had absolutely no control over it, a scream erupting from her lips as the power ruptured from inside her.

"Noooooooo!" the princess exclaimed, a massive, fiery explosion of destructive energy set off in unison with her screams. The entire Coalition HQ would be rocked from this deadly explosion, any areas caught in it greatly damaged by the unleashed malevolence.

A few seconds earlier...

jd2HfSL.png

Back in the meeting room, the conference was still in the process of getting re-settled in. Just as before, there were plenty of people looking to be seated and hushed. There was much conversation being had on the sides, whether over the concerning news of multiple threats within the multiverse, such as the Revanchists and the Blood Institute, or idle conversation among the numerous members of the many organizations present, or whatever else anyone else could think to talk of in a place such as this.

kiri011.png

"..."

Conversely, sitting in the center of the room, Kyoko was rather reticent, and looked deep in thought over something.

g9rbgeR.png

"..."

Makoto looked similar, sitting a few spaces away from her and looking down at his hands.

Anyone who had visited the Command Center first thing could imagine that it was likely something to do with whatever Kyoko and Makoto were talking heatedly about, though frankly, it was anyone's guess. Byakuya probably knew something more about it, though anyone who knew anything about him could guess that asking him could result in a caustic, condescending reply, or best case scenario, the cold shoulder.

Whatever was the case, personally, Kyoko had a bad feeling rising inside her. What she was trying to talk about with Makoto before they had been interrupted... It hadn't been resolved the way she had wanted it to be, or rather, resolved at all. Because of this, she was troubled. She felt like she was about to have a premonition come along. Like something horrible was about to happen.

Coincidentally, she wasn't the only one to feel this way.

Among the many individuals in the room, Coalition member Gwen Stacy would suddenly start to react strongly to something in the air... though what it was, there was no telling at the moment.

1DIbH8W.png

"!"

She let out a gasp as her Spider-Sense would start buzzing deeply, strong enough to cause her a small headache. The young woman let out a lightly pained groan as she'd grip her temple gently, to which manager Doppo Kunikida, the person sitting next to her, would raise an eyebrow.

"Oi. You alright, miss?"

"Nnngh... Spider-Sense is killing me. I think it's trying to tell me something's up, but... I can't tell what..." She groaned, frantically looking around the room for something that looked out of place, but alas, everything was perfectly as it was supposed to be. For the time being, that was.

And nobody was the wiser.

The bespectacled blonde man furrowed his brow, wondering what the girl was on about. Though he didn't know much about Gwen, he knew enough that she had some sort of sense of premonition of danger that came true just about every time, so admittedly, he was a little paranoid as well. Still, he couldn't do anything about it. If there was some mysterious attacker in their midst, it'd be impossible to tell with this crowd. Was the danger in that someone was about to be assassinated? With this many important people around, someone could surely--

BOOM!

XKzJKCP.png

"H-Huh?! Wha--?!"

The sound of an explosion would ring in the air from another room, silencing everyone inside. The force of the explosion was strong enough that an intense rumbling could be felt by everyone all throughout the room, rocking everything and even knocking over a few empty chairs. However, if there was one thing that would set anyone off over this not being an ordinary explosion...

... It was that the vibrating wasn't stopping.

As if it was still going on.

FWOOSH!

explosion-gif.gif

Before anyone knew it, massive flames would engulf the entire room, the explosion having traveled from wherever it had come from to the meeting room like a beast. The explosion was terrifyingly powerful.

Little did anyone know then, that the eruption had not only destroyed everything physically, but it was the first step in destroying the stability between the organizations that had vowed to protect the multiverse.

And so began the change that would shake everything.

Several Hours Later...

Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch, just in time, had managed to shield as many people as she could from the blast of the mysterious explosion, though it wasn't without its deaths and ramifications. Exerting her power that much against the strange power of the explosion did a number even on her, on top of the others who were affected in the ordeal.

The entire base was in a state of emergency. The library was put out of commission temporarily, though most of the other rooms, while messed up and dirtied quite a bit, still functioned to a satisfactory degree, likely thanks to Wanda's magic. Though the conference concerning the state of the multiverse had been indefinitely put on hiatus due to the sudden new matter, it was known that the higher-ups of the organizations were heatedly discussing what to do next in light of this strange occurrence, such as what it exactly was, why it happened, how, and so on.

In the meantime, they left you all to recover by yourselves. However, they also forbid that you'd leave the base, just in case that the explosion was a deliberate action caused by an unknown attacker.

Thus, you were... essentially trapped in HQ.

gT7rfyd.png

"Everyone!" Paladin Danse roared, making an effort to make his voice heard over the din of frightened and anxious voices. "If you have not yet been seen to and have an injury that needs to be seen to, please proceed to the medical bay! I repeat, the medical bay!"

The Brotherhood of Steel member was making an effort of directing those lingering around the meeting room and lounge into the medical wing of the headquarters. There was too much going on for those left to be processed to linger in the danger areas.

mRE4lJd.png

"... Sigh."

Assuming you didn't want to rest at the Lounge like before and perhaps converse with the trusty housekeeper of HQ, Chisa Yukizome, who was also looking rather beat, there were still a number of places that you could visit to pass the time while you all waited for the Administration to make a move.

For instance...

Maybe you should check out the Holding Cells? Hopefully, no one had managed to escape there, especially not a certain murderous jester...

Alternatively, you could also visit the Med Bay, whether to get yourself treated for minor injuries you might have sustained, or to see if the patients there were doing fine.

Or you could also see the Command Center and speak to the Administration there, just to check in on what they had their minds on at the moment.

The choice was yours.

If this had been at the UN, then Robin, Ritsuko, and anyone of any note would have been herded outside by heavily armed guards, and taken to a safe location. Here, they placed everyone on lockdown until the situation could be resolved.

Robin didn't mind, as it gave him some time to think to himself. The initial chaos had been overwhelming, but now that it had calmed down somewhat, it gave Robin an opportunity to consider options and strategies. After being checked out by a team of doctors, Robin made his way up to The Command Center. He wanted to see, and potentially assist with any administrative decisions that were made. He buttoned his sleeve again, tightened his tie, and prepared to step inside.

Corrin followed quickly behind him, her guard was up, and she was ready to defend her boss.

Despite having just recovered from that encounter with Shizuo, Add was unharmed from the sudden and abrupt explosion, and it was due to Elesis taking some of the damage with her blood. A moderate amount of burns appeared on her skin as the blood-like protection wasn't enough to give herself the ease of mind that Add had.

"C'mon Elesis, there's important business to assist in and keep tabs on."

Receiving nothing more than a single affirmative nod from the Crimson Avenger, Add led themselves into the Command Center right after Robin and Corrin.

"What the hell was that?" the lady asks. "We're locked in!"

"Let's try the emergency exits. Blondie, Bibi, come with us, we're going to need all the strength we can get."

While they failed to find anything of such nature, they managed to find a metallic, unconscious being. Based on his battle damage, he seemed pretty dead, with the exception of a flickering green faceplate. Plus he was a machine. A missing limb wouldn't cause bleeding damage.

"God! He's heavy!" the lady says as the siblings attempt to lift the fallen angel bot thing after loosely fitting some broken limbs together

"Gah! Is he made of gold or something?"

"More like silver if you ask me."

With that, the two started to head to the Med Bay. If Zidane and Bibi were injured beyond belief, the sister would carry them both via her shoulders, while holding the birdman's legs, and her younger brother, holding the birdman by the head.

Putting their giant silver chicken down, the siblings helped Zidane, using their strength to get the rubble off Bibi. Should it fail, the woman conjured a flugelhorn from nothingness and used it as a lever to fling the rubble away.

As they finished, the siblings returned to handling the unconscious humanoid silver robot they found.

"Blondie," the youthful-looking male says to Zidane, "you take care of your friend, we've got a giant goose to handle."

FWOOSH!

Before anyone knew it, massive flames would engulf the entire room, the explosion having traveled from wherever it had come from to the meeting room like a beast. The explosion was terrifyingly powerful.

Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch, just in time, had managed to shield as many people as she could from the blast of the mysterious explosion, though it wasn't without its deaths and ramifications. Lois had tried to help Wanda by using her powers to try and deflect the blast. As the flames erupted around them Lois could only watch in horror. During the chaos though her and Bekka had been separated.

Having got to known Bekka though, Lois knew she would be in the thick of it and headed towards the Command Center. Sure enough there she was arms crossed with a stern look on her face watching the proceedings.

"Bekka!" Lois would go up to her and used her android body to check for injuries. "Your arm..." Sure enough Bekka's arm seemed to have been ravaged by the blast.

"It's fine, I heal fast." She brushed off Lois' concerns and changed the topic. "What the hell happened. These guys have been running around like headless chickens."

"I probably know even less than you." Lois admitted.

"Then it sounds like we need to get to the bottom of this." With that both of them would try to find someone that had answers.

There was no warning. There was no time.

None that would make a difference anyway. By the time they realized, it'd be too late. Lucifer recalled Saber leaping up at the boom...He himself getting up in turn, to the entrance. Fight or flight instincts surging though what he and Saber could do was anyone's guess. There was only the need to act, in any way possible.

Far too late for it.

In the aftermath, things looked bleak. People had died, they still had no idea what the source of the explosion was, but however it occurred? At least two people knew.

"You're sure?"

Saber Alter nodded, serious as she looked at Lucifer.

"Malevolence. Like the power that crafted me. I can sense it- Draw power from it. I had assumed it was coming from my sheath, but...I was wrong." She glared out at the chaos and said quietly, clenching her hand into a fist.

"....And people have paid for my mistake."

"No...They didn't." Lucifer was thoughtful, staring out at the people as they headed for various ways before adding quietly. "Think about what we learned previously. Think how it fits together. We know a traitor existed before- That was the most logical thought to it all, as to how Hisoka knew so much." Saber nodded, wondering where this was going. Lucifer continued on.

"Whoever visited him constantly, heard his previous words and sought to contain them. To hide the truth from everyone concerning the dark areas in the base and of the girl, whoever had done it."

"You suspect their head of shadows." Saber said flatly, eyeing the Damphir with a hand on her hip as Lucifer sighed. "Just a theory...But who else knew the security? Who else would have had ample opportunity to hide the words of the men down in the cells, who would have reason to declare 'there is no darkness in the heart of the Coalition?' Whatever the motivation, or even whether he's only guilty of gross negligence?" He gestured out.

".....This is the result."

Saber was silent, thinking about it all before finally asking.

"What then, Master?"

"Things are bad enough without evidence. What we will do is two fold. Saber. Go down to the holding cells, make sure Hisoka isn't out of his cell."

"And if he is?"

"Then put him back."

Saber grinned like a shark that's spotted a swimmers bottom.

"And you, Master?"

"I'm going to the Command Center first. To see what others have to say about this."

A shared nod and both split, Saber marching as her armor clanked and her sword materialized in hand. If the Jester had been freed? Saber Alter would be ready. And so she marched onward, the implacable glacier towards the holding cells.

Lucifer followed in the wake of Robin and Corrin, keeping pace with the latter as he asked on their way to the command center.

"Are you alright?"

@Verite @Atomyk @Minerva
Robin nodded. "Yes sir, I'm alright. Just a bit startled is all." He pointed to Corrin. "I think she's alright too. We've both been through worse." He said. He had a small bruise on his forehead from where he had hit the table when ducking for cover. Robin tapped his foot against the floor, making a slight echo.

@Atomyk @Minerva @Ringmaster @CommandCenter
Robin glanced at Add. "Is this the ally you said?" He asked, pointing to Elesis.

Artyom was a still little shaken by the explosion. It had happened so quickly, the explosion. It almost reminded him of.... The Dark Ones.

They deserved what they got, they were god damn monsters, why do you feel pity for them.

They weren't monsters, they wanted peace with humanity, it was....my fault they died, it was all my fault, the fire...the smell of burning flesh.

Artyom shook those thoughts from his mind. He noticed Train nearby an walked over to him

Zen almost lost his footing at the explosion, his ears ringing with an unknown sound. He swore, but it was muffled by the crash, drowning under the falling debris. "What was that?" All around him was chaos and voices, the young man could barely understand what was going on. Only having him to save himself from any injuries, he deftly avoided any of the debris hurled his way, dodging the rubble with finesse. Where was he to go now?

With so many people in the meeting room, there were bound to be injuries. Even from where he stood, flashes of red stood out. His eyes narrowed, darkening with worry, as he ran towards the Med Bay. He may be a man who could recover quickly, but there were others who were less fortunate. As someone who had no special abilities of his own, Zen knew he had to make himself useful to those who wanted to protect this world... and the multiverse.

After completely not being asleep in the library and was meditating to attempt to find Bolin in the multiverse, Iroh made his way into the meeting room.

Being a firebender of an impressive he quickly made sure that he-and the people around him-were not harmed at all. Glancing around he saw Bibi being helped by the siblings and given off to Zidane. "This is not good..." he muttered to himself.

At first, Iroh wanted to rush to the Medical Bay to aid anyone who was injured, but instead, he decided to stay in the meeting room and find more injured people who were in need of getting to the Medical Bay.

It seemed like his original mission would have to wait for a while.

I watched in interest as the pale girl walked away, but I quickly returned my attention to the group. Just as I was about to ask again, a feminine voice spoke over the intercomms earning a annoyed huff from me. She said it was time to head back towards the meeting room. I'll have to find the Commanders or someone important later. I typed a goodbye and headed back towards the meeting area.

The heavy flood of people in the corridors made it a little hard to move, but at least the current was heading in the right direction and I got there without having to resort towards gently pushing people out of the way. Apparently their view on a gentle push was a shove hard enough to set them somewhat off balance. Understandable, everyone had their own views and opinions, like some people worshiping the Demons, said people were introduced to my fists and were left with the parting gift of being a bloody pulp.

When I got to the meeting area, I choose a seat further away from the center. The seat was near some white-costumed person with a web-like pattern and another green-haired, glasses wearing man. People were talking about the news, threats, basically the stuff that had already been mentioned.

At the center, Pale Girl seemed absorbed in thought... damnit, she was someone important wasn't she? Should have been both listening and looking at the center. Sitting not too far away from her was yet another green-haired man. He too looked deep in thought. Huh, if they were both commander than that meant working together, working together meant tight bonds, and with the right factors, said bond could become romance. I wonder if there was any sexual tension between them.

"Idle thoughts leads to idle hands, idle hands leads to death," the voice of my mentor scolded.

Expect my mentor was dead so the saying didn't apply anymore.

However, shortly after everyone seemed to have entered the meeting area, I heard a groan and looking over at the source, I saw the person with the web-like patterns rubbing her temples. I didn't bother asking Webber if anything was wrong, after all stress was a bitch anyways. Couldn't rip it apart like a Imp.

Anyways, the green-haired man asked what was wrong. Green Clone to the rescue so I didn't have too!

I heard something about a spidy sense and something was going to happen. I was about to disregard it when I too felt something off...

Demonic Energy.

Or at least some form of it. It had just spontaneously came into existence. Were the Demons invading?! If so, I didn't have to sit through a boring ass meeting!

Then I heard a explosive ring, metal groaning, and felt the room shake. Aside from the aforementioned sounds, it was deathly quiet. The trembling didn't stop...

SHIT!

By the time my mind had connected the dots, flames bust into the room, engulfing everything in fire. It roared like that damned Titan.

The next thing I knew, I was thrown out of my seat by the force. Thankfully my combat reflexes kicked in allowing me to rapidly recover and I twisted my body about in a way to dampen the impact force. Still, the feeling of hitting the wall at what felt like the speed of Mach five wasn't a pleasant feeling.

And blacking out wasn't too fun either.

When I came too, my ears picked up panicked screams and shouts and it felt like I was being dragged out by someone. I threw myself up earning a surprised sound before I stumbled off. Gah, I had a headache, something that couldn't be killed. I had to take a painkiller for that.

Time past, several hours passing. That time was a blur. I remembered going through the panicked crowds, a weapon in my hands. Couldn't have been the pistol, it was too heavy. The BFG was too heavy so it wasn't a superweapon. Likey the shotgun or a assault rifle. I eventually reached the meeting room, knocking anyone aside with my weapon. I couldn't tell thei reaction though I guessed I only made things worse.

After what felt like a quick search I sat down on a chair. If it was flipped, I must have put it upright and sat down. There I remained, allowing my mind to slowly piece itself back together.

As the information was processed, I knew it was happening again. It started with a betrayal, someone selling us out to the Demons. They found our weakpoint and exploited it.

I-I

FUCK

What the hell was I supposed to do?!

Help people?

Kill something?

I didn't fucking know!

However, one thing did become clear. Whoever was responsible for that explosion was going to fucking pay. Very, very dearly.

But I sat there, time passing, absorbed in the flashback of seeing my warriors, my friends, fight against the endless hordes as our world was consumed. Briefly I came back reality, each time the situation was getting better, more organized, chaos succumbing to order . I vaguely remember someone trying to get me off my ass, but I slapped them away.

When I finally stopped so absorbed in my thoughts and flashbacks, I saw just how horrible the situation was.

The meeting room was a absolute mess, chairs flipped over or melted, smoldering metal bits scattered about, injured people wandering about in a daze. So it wasn't happening again, no Demons were tearing their way through innocents. I took a deep sigh of sadden relief.

@anybody
Doom Guy stayed sitting as still as a rock. His armor had made it impossible to see any possible injures. While there was some minor damage as a result of the explosion, there wasn't indication it was penetrated. No blood was dripping out nor any jutting pieces of metal. However, the marine seemed lost in thought. Maybe Iroh could speak to him and try to see if everything was alright.

"You're the one who manages 10 or so legit kid kids. What can a legitimate businessman like me do to explain this to someone who hasn't gotten a period? You've got this. Though personally, I'd tell him..." he whispers back.

"Alright... Bibi, was it? The question you asked is kind of... sensitive. It's hard to explain, but when you grow up, you'll learn it by yourself. That will take -"

CRASH!!!

UCHjUO3.png

"Doctor, someone executed a murder with one crow. Bird boy over here will need urgent medical - or mechanical - attention. Oh god! His leg fell apart again!"

Before the Explosion

Ruby sighed in relief, seeing that the boy would be okay despite all that had happened... Maybe she didn't have to worry too much about his whole not having an aura all the time thing?

...

In the meantime, Zwei appeared to be responding quite well to Scott's petting, staying still for once as he panted a little... But at some point, his ears suddenly pricked up and he stood really still, his eyes darting around as his ears twitched a little.

"Arf!" He barked, only once before he started running off in Ruby's direction.

Looks like he had a feeling something was up, but it wasn't certain exactly what it was...

...

The sound of Zwei barking suddenly caught Ruby's attention, and as the little dog rushed towards Ruby, she blinked in surprise as he jumped behind her.

"Hey! You hungry Zwei? You hungry boy?" She asked, petting him a little.

Though, she still couldn't quite understand why he was so eager to reunite with her all of a sudden, other than maybe because she forgot to pack some food. The announcement that came on, notifying them of the meeting coming back into session, Ruby groaned.

"Don't worry Zwei, I'll feed you as soon as this thing is over!" She said encouragingly.

Then, trying to stick as close to Weiss as she could, Ruby headed off to meeting room.

...

It didn't take long for something to go wrong though, as it was just when Ruby was heading into the room, the whole process of filing in had taken a good while considering the crowd, and it didn't help that Zwei kept squirming in her arms, to which she had eventually put him in her backpack again.

Just as Ruby was getting settled into the meeting room, after Weiss, and with Jennifer, a close friend of hers roughly in her sights, somewhere behind her, a distant rumbling sound that shook the building immediately caused her immadietly to tense up standing in a defensive position as she looked around, trying to determine the source of the rumbling.

K7mcK2e.gif

Drawing her Crescent Rose, she noticed the rumbling was coming from the walls nearby, and so, she turned towards it, keeping in front of Zwei, and probably the rest of the group she was with... For once, she was eerily quiet, as she didn't like this one bit.

However, as prepared as she was for a massive hoard of Grimm, or an army of demons, or heck... Any incoming enemy... Nothing could have prepared her for the coming explosion.

Her Crescent Rose barely helped as a torrent of flames burst throught the walls and into the room... She could already see red chaos energy enveloping them, as Wanda bravely tried to protect them... Though even that, might not be enough as the torrent of flames engulfed the entire room, obviously from a rather powerfull explosion. As the flames reached her, she could feel it's heat coming towards her, and her aura draining... Before a burning feeling shot through her body... Her vision was obscured by the bright orange color of the flames...

...

6 Hours Later - Aftermath of the Explosion

Ruby was not too badly injured... Sort of; her aura, and Wanda's magic, had shielded her from the worst of the damage... But her skin was red, and blistered in places, with a few occasional darker spots here and there. Fortunately, she didn't seem to suffer from anything more than second degree burns to the front of her body.

Zwei was okay, surprisingly, and appeared to have been unharmed inside of Ruby's bag, but he was whining, looking noticeably concerned about the whole thing.

When Danse spoke Ruby didn't seem to notice, she had her mind somewhere else... She had recalled what had happened immediately after the explosion... Her vision was returning to her as she looked around, surveying what had happened around her. Though not many have died, there were still casualties... And a multitude of injured... And... ... Jennifer! She... She wasn't moving when they had carried away on a stretcher, was she-... ...

"Jennifer! I need to... I have to..." Ruby stammered.

She looked towards Weiss, then to Winter, then to the others in the area, before she bolted down to the Med Bay, the only thing that could be properly seen being her red cape in the process... Leaving behind petals as she went, it looked like she was intent on checking up on Jennifer, the last expression that could be seen on her face was one of great worry, and possibly fear. Though she still felt quite some pain from the burns she had recieved, the andrenaline coursing through Ruby's body seemed to make her numb to it for the moment... But it was likely she might need some medical attention sooner or later, her aura didn't seem to be doing enough to heal her burns on it's own.

(@Med Bay)

...

Zwei in the meantime had fallen out of Ruby's bag as she had been in a rush. However, as soon as he hit the ground, he attempted to join Weiss, wherever she decided to go, well... At least he would keep her company, for the time being at least.

(@Others With Weiss I guess)

This was certainly a terrifying pickle he got himself into here, and no amount of milk and happy feelings can save him now. But what was going on in the boy's mind, what did he think? Was Mob concerned?

Not really.

MOB'S EXPLOSION METER: 24%

The sudden flames while startling Mob managed to put up a barrier against with no trouble, it's not like it was the work of pyrokinesis since the flames weren't focusing on any one place so it was pretty underwhelming with Mob's history with pyrokinesis. Mob ashes off of his pants and shoulders shooting a dead gaze towards Ruby and decided to follow her to the Medbay. Mob himself had no injuries but since somebody he knew was heading there looking his age (or at least the same height) Mob thought it would be a great idea to just go to the Medbay to hang out and stuff.

Toboe had found Cheza and sat next to her. Shortly before he thought his keen ears had heard something he at first shook it off. Then the sound of the explosion happened. He kept a hand on Cheza's arm to make sure she stayed close by. Once the flames came, Toboe had did his best to protect the Flower Maden beside him with his body. Throwing the hood of her cloak/coat up as an extra precaution. Cheza cringed at the heat around them but remained unaffected otherwise.

Once it was over, Toboe seemed fine other then some slight burns along his neck and the back of his arms. The back of his shirt and pants were a bit scorched but otherwise seemed fine.

Cheza's grip on Toboe tightened. For a moment, she didn't move, a few veins making themselves prominent on her face.

"This one needs some water...this one thinks we should head to the medical bay." she said. Toboe nodded in agreement before leading the way.

Piper was already heading to the Command Center so she planned to just keep heading here. Making a mental note to check on the injured possible later to hear there story.

@Verite @Atomyk @ others sorry on tablet andin school so crap post.

Robin glanced at Add. "Is this the ally you said?" He asked, pointing to Elesis.

@Jeremi @Atomyk @Verite @Command Center
A bandage covered a small cut on one of Shizuo's cheeks as he walked into the Command Center, keeping close to Robin. It seemed he had been one of the lucky ones who had gotten away without much harm beyond the cut. However, that didn't mean he wasn't curious as to who set the explosion.

"So any idea who just tried to kill us off?"

In fact, he was beyond pissed off and was about to run off on his own to hunt down whoever had done it. Not only had it hurt a few kids, but it had also killed a couple people who were just doing their job, not a part of the fighting. The bartender hated violence, but worse, he hated violence against innocents.

Whoever had set off the bomb had been a big enough dumbass to risk pressing that button. It was time for some payback, so much so that Shizuo barely noticed Esper floating around the Command Center.

@Atomyk @Command Center

@Atomyk @Verite @Command Center

Mason's powers were able to create a barrier that protected him and a few others that were beyond the reach of Scarlet Witch's barrier. Although he was protected and has no problems physically, he was plagued by other issues.

For one, Mason felt the presence of Dark Aura in that blast. That darkness he felt was almost identical to the darkness walking around the remnants of the battle that had sent him across the multiverse two years ago. He wonders if the the two powers, Dark Aura and Malevolence, be one and the same?

However, a far more pressing issue came up in his mind. He hadn't seen Ilona since Kyoko's announcement to return to the meeting. What could have happened to her in such a short time? Where is she? Is she safe?

These questions caused a tiny flame of darkness to appear in Mason's aura, but he quickly snuffed it out. "No, there's still hope," he said, assuring himself, "If Ilona wasn't in the meeting room, then she was probably far, far away from the blast. Even then, she can protect herself. I just wish I could sense her aura." The chaos caused by the explosion made everyone's hearts scream out, making it difficult for Mason to single out any specific aura, let alone hear himself think.

He decides that he wants answers, and that the leaders of the Coalition (and maybe, possibly Byakuya) most likely have them. He heads towards the Command Center.

He searches the room and finds the administrators. "Makoto, Kyoko, do either of you have any idea what's going on?"

Before the explosion hit

The first among many when she felt the rumbling she knew something was wrong. She felt the core rumbling from the library ahead of time and thus she was set into Battle Mode. With a harsh slam onto the ground below her she made a small crater with Rumble Road, and from within she slammed the walls to form a small dome, protecting those around her with it's natural form from the full brunt of the explosion. Wanda's magic a boon to help as well.

After the explosion

With the time passed and people died down and calmed, she kicked the top of the dome with tremendous force from Rumble Road once more, it shattering to small pieces unable to harm anyone freeing herself and the nearby allies. Luckily none who might have been in would be able to be injured. But with that thought in mind the converse was also true, many must have been injured, so she set to work looking for injured members in the meeting room.

@Atomyk @Verite @Jeremi @Gummi Bunnies @Ringmaster @Minerva
Robin shook his head. "No idea, sorry. I just came here to get as much information as I could on the situation." He sighed. "I'm going to see what I can do in this situation. This isn't the UN, so I have no authority, but I'd still like to help."

When the explosion occured Ilona lifted her head just in time to see a burst of deadly flames reflect in her blue eyes. The young woman let out a gasp and teleported herself away from the fiery mass at the heart of the library. She remained at a distance from the others, watching as Wanda protected a majority of the people from something she had caused herself. But Wanda couldn't protect everyone...

gA5RWRT.jpg

"I-I killed people," Ilona whispered to herself. I caused damage to this place that was so very kind to take me in and try to help me. Th-This is my fault. I'm a monster... I-I never wanted this to happen! This has never happened before! Why now? Why around so many people? This is horrible. I'm scared. What if I do something like this again? I-I don't want to hurt people!

The princess teleported herself away yet again, hiding herself in one of the vacant cells in the Holding Cells. She squeezed herself into a corner and put her hands over her head, hoping that nobody would see her or even try to look for her.

Dearest Sun, I only wish to bathe in the light, please spare me from this darkness. I long not to harm those around me.

Tears streamed down her cheeks as she remained hidden, hoping that nobody would come to look for her.

Continued from here.

Investigations into Ilona had slowed, unfortunately, but Lang still had a lead: the Fiamma Incident. Maybe after this meeting he could find out more...

BOOM!!

Or not.

Like a majority of the people there, Lang sustained injuries as well. Shielding his face from the explosion caused his left hand to burn up, his right a bit luckier but still feeling the toll of the flames. His jacket, too, had singed a bit, but that was the price of any more of his body getting injured.

What the hell happened? Who would bomb the Coalition?! Hold on.

He knew exactly who would pull a stunt like this!!

Ignoring his injuries (he needed to focus on capturing their suspects, going to medical would just waste time!) Lang rushed to the holding cells to see if any prisoners were unaccounted for. Who knew ifthe culprit had managed to escape? For all Lang knew they could've snuck out and back into a cell to make themselves look innocent.

Using her ability to stop time, Sakuya had moved herself and the rest of her group out of the way of the explosion, preventing them from sustaining any injuries. But still, what had caused that ridiculous explosion, and here of all places? Who had the nerve to cause that to happen? Well, whoever had the nerve to try to bomb her and Remilia would certainly have to pay the price.

"Are you alright, milady?"

"...Sakuya, what just happened?"

"It would seem there was an explosion. I wonder who would have caused it?"

Sakuya affirmed the vampire's safety, neither one of them having sustained injuries. After that, she turned to Erron, Nemo, and Astaroth, whom she'd also decided to move in that time. "Are you three alright as well?" She certainly hoped so after she'd gone to the trouble of moving them. It may have been an instant to them, but to her she had still ferried around four people a considerable distance to get away from the explosion. Not easy for a single woman.

Remilia in the meantime thought a little about what she would like to do next. After something crazy like that happening, she was no longer in the mood to just sit around in the lounge, and since she had no injuries she had no business being in the medical bay. When it came to the command center, she got the feeling she wouldn't get along well with other boss types. Too many of those in a room was just annoying.

That left the holding cells for her to go to. If a prisoner had escaped, that'd give her an excuse to go and get some exercise.

"Come on, Sakuya, let's go down and see what we've got down there." Without any pause, she immediately began walking over to the cells, fully expecting Sakuya to follow. She was not disappointed.

"Black, and you two as well if you want, let's go."

Beckoning their company over, she headed to the cells after the master of the mansion.
