Peace. That is what had been achieved in the part of the universe that Sora's journey had touched. While this part was probably just a tiny part compared to the much more significant whole, it was still peace. With the creation of the World Defense System, or WDS, a few hundred years ago that peace could finally be taken to other worlds. It would weaken, or even defeat, Heartless, Nobodies, and even Unversed in the worlds without the denizens ever knowing of their existence or being affected by their existence.

The World Defense Committee has also expanded beyond the small team that once resided in Radiant Garden. While their main headquarters are in Radiant Garden, with subsidiary branches in Traverse Town, the Land of Departure, and Twilight Town, they do have agents that reside in some worlds where certain nodes of the system are located. Utilizing both the WDS and its agents, the WDC is capable of monitoring the worlds within the reach of the system and can quickly respond to any threats that may appear if need be.

Even though a few threats have surfaced since the system's inception, it is thanks to the swift response of the WDC and the power of the WDS that these threats were very quickly dealt with. As such, peace continued to reign. Maybe not so on a basis of individual worlds, but definitely so on a wider scale as a whole when it came to the balance between worlds.

However, on this one particular day in one particular world, things were anything but peaceful.

It was currently a day like any other in this peaceful, scenic world. In this world sat a towering, white castle that seemed to be something straight out of a fairytale that was surrounded by a large city.

That city was named "Toon Town". It was populated by a wide assortment of rather interesting looking figures.

The castle was known as "Disney Castle".

All castles have a King and everywhere one went in "Toon Town" one would see this King's symbol. One larger circle with two slightly smaller circles on top to represent a face and two round ears.

This king, who was beloved by his subjects, was a mouse. His name was King Mickey. 400 years ago he had been an ally in Sora's fight. A hero who helped bring peace to the worlds. Currently this hero was sitting on his throne, talking to his Queen, Queen Minnie, who sat on the throne next to his. While she may not have been a part of that fight she was by no means weak. Queen Minnie herself was quite a powerful White Mage, able to wield some very powerful Holy and Healing magic.

The throne room was huge! It seemed like its current two occupants were the size of tiny dolls compared to the vastness of this giant hall. Even the doors that led into it seemed like only giants could push them open.

That is until a small, normal sized "door" in the bottom part of one of the large doors was suddenly slammed open, revealing the secrets of these huge doors to anyone who may have been watching.

"YOUR MAJESTY, YOUR MAJESTY, ITS AN EMERGENCY!" screamed a raspy voice as a figure burst into the throne room. As he burst in, feathers went everywhere. This was a duck garbed in the attire of a Mage. This was the Court Mage of Disney Castle.

Donald Duck.

A hero who, despite having no Keyblade of his own, fought alongside Sora all those many years ago. He is a very powerful mage, capable of wielding immensely powerful magic.

"Whoa there pal. Calm down. What's the problem Donald?" asks Mickey as he quickly gets up from his throne. Donald was known to be prone to freak outs, but it had been a while since he had seen his good pal's feathers this ruffled.

"There's no time to explain, its the WDS! It's seen something strange!" said Donald as he was stomping his foot.

Minnie and Mickey looked at each other, flashes of concern crossing their eyes.

"Well what are we waiting for. Let's get going right away" said Minnie as she stood from her throne.

"Right. Let's go" said Mickey.

The trio were soon in the library, staring at what seemed to be a large computer screen. This terminal wasn't the castle's main terminal, but did still allow for the examining of many things going on and held a large amount of data.

"And you're sure that it isn't a glitch fellas?" asks Mickey to a pair of two small chipmunks, each in suspenders with one of them wearing goggles.

"That's right your majesty!" responded the goggle wearing chipmunk, Chip.

"We've run like a billion tests. It's not Heartless, Nobodies, Nightmares, or Unversed! Whatever this is, its nothing we've seen before!" responded the chipmunk without the goggles, Dale.

Mickey looked at the data before him. A strange, unknown signature. It was weak, immensely so, but it was still *there*, which was the issue. He seemed to be in deep thought.

"Oh my, it seems to have appeared in multiple worlds, how concerning…" said Queen Minnie as she stared at the screen.

"What's worse is that in two worlds in particular this footage was found" explained Chip as he used the bracelet on his own wrist to let him interface with the computer despite his dimmunitive size. An image appeared. It showed two heartless. Two Soldiers.

They looked like small figures made of shadow, about a few feet tall. They seemed to be more like stuffed dolls or toy soldiers given the armor they were wearing. One seemed to be weaker, lethargic. It was surrounded in a blue glow that seemed to make it weaker until it vanished.

The other… had no such blue glow at all. Rather than that, suddenly a diamond appeared near the creature and blasted it with light, eliminating it. The diamond then disappeared. The elimination method wasn't what shocked Mickey though.

"Heartless not weakened by the WDS" murmurs Mickey, eyes widening.

"Well it's not the first time we've seen Heartless immune to the weakening effects a-hyuk" explained a voice from the doorway as a new very, very tall figure walked in. He was a dog, wearing the armor of a knight. Rather than a sword though, he only had a shield on his person. A Royal Knight of Disney Castle.

Goofy.

A hero who, just like Donald, also fought by Sora's side all of those years ago.

"There ya are Goof. I see you slept well" said Mickey as he pointed to Goofy's head. There was both grass and flowers stuck to the side of his face, indicating that he had been napping in the gardens once again.

"Ahyup. I founds me a new hidin' spot." The dog knight gave a laugh in his drawl, much to Donald's chagrin as his face reddened and he stomped his foot in fury.

"Goofy! You lazy bum! I oughta…. GRAAHH" he began to shake in rage, feathers falling everywhere as he began to angrily wave his wand at Goofy. He wasn't using any magic, just threatening to club the knight.

This just made Goofy laugh. Despite how Donald got, the two were very good friends.

"Still, you are right Goofy. This isn't the first time we have seen Heartless immune to the weakening effect. That being said… this strange signature is concerning. The fact that we've had multiple Keybladers appear in Traverse Town in recent times as well…" Mickey trailed off, rubbing his chin as he closed his eyes in contemplation.

"It can't be a coincidence" he confirmed. "Although I certainly hope it is" he murmurs with a heavy sigh.

"What do we do your Majesty?" asks Goofy.

Mickey looks to the Mage and Knight. "Donald, Goofy. I need you two and Ame to go investigate this world." Ame just so happened to be a descendent of Sora and Kairi and was also a Keyblader just like her ancestors were.

The two gave a salute and a united "Yes your Majesty!"

But Goofy faltered as he looked to Mickey. "But uhh… your Majesty. Gwarsh, Chip and Dale said there are two worlds. What about the second one ahyuk"

"The WDC has acquired several new Keyblader recruits recently. With all of the other Agents busy on missions, this should be a good mission for them" said Mickey. "Plus, if there are immune Heartless we are dealing with, the power of the Keyblade will be helpful."

"Are you sure they are ready your majesty? I mean they haven't even become real heroes, let alone Junior Heroes!" said Donald, a bit concerned but also unable to stop himself from puffing up his chest proudly as he reminded everyone of how he, Sora, and Goofy were declared real Heroes by Mount Olympus.

"They will be fine. I believe in them. Ame also says they have potential as well and expects good things from them." said Mickey.

———

"Hmm. Is that so? You got it your Majesty. I'll be there in a lickity split" said a charming voice in a happy-go-lucky tune. Sitting in a tree in the garden new Radiant Garden WDC headquarters was a girl in blue. Just like the rain she was named for, she gently floated down from the tree.

She then saw her bracelet flash again. "You want me to bring the newbies? You sure? Guess that makes sense since everyone else is busy with the latest Expansion at the moment" She sent her response. "Alright, but they aren't really ready for a mission like that yet, what to do…" She began to ponder.

The WDC had been shocked that not just one, but several new Keybladers had suddenly been registered by the WDS around the same time. Not only that, but they even suddenly appeared in Traverse Town all around the same interval. This was quite shocking as aside from her and King Mickey, there were currently two other Keybladers they knew about. Neither of them were here at the moment.

One of them hadn't been seen in a while either.

"Well Yuria told me that Elim has been itching for more fights. Guess I can send her to accompany the newbies. She'll get the assignment she wants and will be forced to socialize. Win win." Having decided that, Ame sent some messages with her Communicator before heading on her way.

———

"Dammit, this isn't what I meant!" cursed a blue haired youth as she slashed a burning blade through a humanoid training dummy in a fit of anger. This rather upset, blue haired youth was Elim. There were many broken dummies in this training room. Each of them had damaged parts, but the parts that were absolutely destroyed were parts that had an image of a red skull taped to them.

She sighs heavily and stabs her sword into the nearest dummy as she walks over to the table where what seems like an intricate wine decanter is sitting. She puts the decanter to her mouth and it begins to glow blue as water pours from it, which she drinks. She grabs the Communicator she had next to the decanter after taking her drink. There were a few other things on said table as well. A rather worn, but sturdy knapsack, a few rings, and a large leather bound tome. The leather the tome was bound in was a dark purple.

Just as she suspected, with the message that Ame had sent her she had also been gifted the Comm numbers of the other new recruits. Sighing heavily, this tomboy sword wielded sends a rather simple, direct message to the new Keybladers. After all, today was their day off.

These new Keybladers had appeared a couple of months ago and, via the instructors of the WDC, had received training in combat, magic, and other such basics that would assist them in better understanding how to utilize their new Keyblades from some of the WDC members. Of course, they had also been given the promise that once they became strong enough they would receive assistance on heading back to the worlds they came from, provided their worlds weren't connected in the next WDS expansion.

After all, their worlds had only gotten into the detection range of the WDS. They had yet to be incorporated into it, so sending them home via teleportation through the WDS was currently impossible. With the exception of one of them who just so happened to be from Twilight Town.

Meet me in the Debriefing Hall at Headquarters. Your days off are cancelled. It's a mission from the King.

That was all the message from Elim said, this "Elim" being someone that these Keybladers had never met before. After having sent that to the new Keybladers she decided she would hit the showers before they arrived to cool off.

The Debriefing Hall in the WDC HQ was a large room with a large computer in it. There would be no one else present when the Keybladers would arrive in the Debriefing Room. Of course on their way they'd see various residents of Radiant Garden, some of which weren't human like the Moogles, and some members of the WDC. None of the higher up members seemed to be around though.

They were all busy.

With only two people present in the Debriefing Room and the meeting having not started yet, the new Keybladers would get a little bit of time to get to know each other a bit, or perhaps mentally prepare for whatever this "Mission from the King" is about. None of them had even met the King before or had even seen what he looked like, so this would be their first time seeing that as well.

The only thing that was known was that, like Ame, the King was another Keyblader.

The new Keybladers had been given an option of either a dorm in WDC Headquarters or their own residences, provided by the generous Hewie, Dewie, and Louie McDucks, who took over the now retired Scrooge McDuck's businesses and were a bit older now.

Perhaps on the mission they'd be able to put their newest skills they picked up during their training to good use?

Who knows.

Whatever it was, if it was from the King and cancelling their days off then it was no doubt important.

As each of the new Keybladers arrived they'd see that very same blue haired youth who made a mess of the training room. Her hair was done up in a long ponytail and she was wearing garb befitting of either a knight or adventurer of some sort. Elim was not a Keyblader, so by her sheathed on her hip was a sword of a rather intricate looking make.

She was currently pursuing the pages of that large, leather bound tome. As each Keyblader arrived, she only spared them a passing glance before returning to the text of her tome. It seems that this person is the rather antisocial type.

Sitting in the front of the room was Ame, who was sitting closer towards the entrance of the room. She seemed to be laying her head on what seemed to be a large, round, blue pillow that was on the table. Whenever anyone entered, she'd give a smile and a slightly lethargic wave. She was definitely a much more sociable person.

The Keybladers would have seen Ame before a few times as she had helped train them in how to utilize their Keyblades on several occasions. The only one of these two individuals that the new Keybladers had yet to really meet was the girl reading through that large, purplish, leather bound tome with a rather serious expression on her face.

~~ Shun ~~
- The Reaper Without A Home -

World Defence Committee Headquarters

Shun was lounging around in the dorm room she'd been given directly at the headquarters of the World Defence Committee. At least at first, Shun had thought it would be the smartest to just take one of the offered dorm rooms, she specifically picked the smallest she could find, she didn't need that much space for herself anyway and that way she'd have less to clean and take care of, not that the room wasn't still an absolute mess.

Laundry was strewn about all over the floor, her trashcan had overflown with who knew how many crumpled-up, brandless, orange drink cans so now four or five were just lying around next to it. Fuzzbox, the docile Garage Wolf Noise that had somehow grown attached enough to Shun to be around longer than her other Noise, had curled up into a big ball of fur at the head end of Shun's bed, quietly snoring. Shun herself was resting her head on her pet Noise, she'd been up for a few hours now but was still only wearing a mismatched pair of socks and a single sweater that was so oversized it could probably fit two of her. She was fully prepared to spend her day off just laying in bed, sipping from her essentially endless supply of free iced tea, headphones in her ears and listening to more or less obscure rock bands from the 2000s of her world.

Shun had at first completely missed the message that came into her communicator, the noise of the notification would have been completely drowned out by the music, even if Shun hadn't set the communicator to the quietest setting available. The only reason she even noticed was that Fuzzbox shot up at the sudden noise. She slowly dragged herself to the communicator she'd left on the small desk the room came with, though not without grumblings of protest, as if the sender of the message could hear her.

When she read the message her annoyance at her day off being cut short was immediately undercut by a feeling of absolute abject terror that settled in not a second after the message had sunk in.

"...Do I have any clean clothes left?" She'd meant to do her laundry sometime today, certainly not anytime soon, but sometime before the day ended, or at least so she told herself.

Shun shot over to her almost completely empty closet, although luckily her fear quickly turned to relief when she saw that she still had at least a few clean clothes left over to wear. Good. She wasn't sure if the King himself was going to be there, but it would have been really embarrassing for her first meeting with him to be in clothes she'd just worn the day before. Hurriedly she threw on the clothes she could find in her closet and began trying to make herself look at least somewhat presentable, at some point during her ordeal she asked Fuzzbox to gather all the laundry up and at least toss it into one big pile, so the dorm wouldn't look as terrible should anyone look inside for whatever reason. From the wolf's reaction Shun figured, if he could roll his eyes at her, he would have.

Once she thought she was done she took a quick look in the mirror. Her hair was still a bit messy, her black tank top was visibly crinkled, and her eyeliner was just off enough on one side to be noticeable at anything more than a glance but there wasn't any time to fix any of that now so she just gave herself a lopsided smile and a set of finger guns and hurried out of the dorm room. A few steps outside she immediately turned around again, if Fuzzbox hadn't held the room's door for her, she would've locked herself out too.

Now that she finally had everything together, she and Fuzzbox broke into a sprint for the debriefing room.

"C'mon Fuzzbox! We've got a King to meet." She called out to the Noise that was handily outpacing her, getting something in between a back and a howl back as a response.

When the doors to the debriefing room came into view Shun had already slowed down quite a bit, pressing one of her Cure Drink cans to her forehead to cool herself down. Fuzzbox was quietly panting, trotting alongside her.

At first, Shun only creaked the doors open a smidge, if the briefing had already started and she was late, maybe she could have snuck in without being noticed. Luckily, and somewhat to her surprise only two people, a set of girls both in blue, one familiar, the other not at all, were already in the room. Shun knew Ame, she'd seen her a few times in training and, just like Shun did with every instructor, quietly and jokingly referred to Ame as "The bane of her existence" behind her back. The other person was pretty much entirely unfamiliar to Shun, she looked pretty, and strong too, which really only meant that she looked double pretty to Shun. For a second the large purple book made her assume she must be a mage of some sort until she noticed the sword at her hip. It took Shun a few seconds to put together that the girl might not be a Keyblade Wielder if she had to carry around a weapon.

No briefing seemed to have started, good, so she probably wasn't late yet, which felt like a once-in-a-blue-moon occasion to her. With at least slightly renewed confidence she strode inside.

"Yo! I hope I'm not late and everyone's left already again." Shun said, waving back to Ame as she did. Shun made a mental note to take something like a pillow with her into the debriefing room as well, as far as she was concerned Ame had the right idea. Shun grabbed a chair from somewhere and sat down, leaning forward against the backrest of the chair and failing to quietly open the Cure Drink can so she could take a sip. For the first time in a little while, Shun took a deep breath. For a second she considered if she should exercise more, given how winded and parched she was after the by all rights not all that long sprint she made here before banishing the thought from her mind.

For now, she'd just wait to see what this mission was about, she'd spent the last few minutes worrying about being late so much that she hadn't stopped to even guess what could have caused the King himself to order a get-together, especially if a newbie like her was invited along as well.

"Okay! Drei's gang'll be here soon." Caiden was breathing with some weight to her chest. She had just Hasted her way down the street and into the back alley where she joined her friend Wedge behind a stack of wooden crates. Wedge, in turn, eyed her curiously; it was rare that Caid used any of her "Keyblade Magic" out on the streets. "Once they come by here," Caid continued, ignoring her friend's quizzical stare, "you and I will jump 'em from here. And," Caid poked her head out and caught the eye of another boy and girl in an alley across the street; all three exchanged a thumbs up. "Biggs and Jessie'll hit 'em from the other side."

"You're thinking more about this than usual," Wedge whispered, his plump face glowing a bit. He didn't consider that a pincer-type move was about as tactical as Caiden would get.

She had only been in Radiant Garden for a few months, but had already assimilated well. It hadn't taken her long to see that, just like her home in Twilight City, Radiant Garden was just another network of streets, back alleys, and causeways waiting to be explored. It helped that the local youth already had their hierarchies, factions, and rivalries. Caid had fallen in with Biggs, Wedge, and Jessie almost immediately on meeting them; their rough and tumble habits were like a piece of home, and reminded her of old crew. When she wasn't at the castle training with her new Keyblade, she was roving the town with her new cohorts, continuing her old life of looking for or starting a ruckus where and when she could.

Today, a day off from training, was that and a bit more. Today was personal. An older kid, Drei, had trash talked her skill as a Keyblader a few days ago. Caiden couldn't be dissed like that and stay sitting down. In her present moment, Caid was throwing down her retort. While sorely wishing she still had her Struggle bat, she had accepted that fights in Radiant Garden were affairs of the fist; she clenched hers tight as the sound of footsteps and cackling from Drei and his crew drew nearer.

She hugged the wall of the building closer to where the other gang was coming from. Out of the corner of her eye she saw them... Drei, followed by Jek, John, and Zal... a four-on-four would be easy enough, she told herself. She looked to Wedge standing next to her, and then across to Biggs and Jessie. They all nodded to each other. Without so much as a 'go' shouted, the four rushed out if their hiding and onto the road where scene of contained chaos unfolded.

It started with Caid landing the first blow. A well placed punch to Drei's jaw. It landed hard... harder than even Caid expected it to; she hadn't realized that her dash onto the street had culminated with her inadvertently sonic-blading her knuckles into Drei's face. The result was a shocked response from Drei, who was knocked back a foot or two and stunned by sheer surprise.

Caid recoiled and backed up two paces as John and Jek stepped between her and Drei. From her right side Wedge plowed through and began wrestling Jek; they were both heavy set and the only ones that could go against each other purely on size. Behind Drei and John, Biggs and Jessie tackled Zal; all three were caught off guard by the unexpected two on one and Zal went down easy against the force of two bodies on her.

Caiden made a run on John, but found herself caught a headlock. Biggs had her back though, and pulled John away as Jessie and Zal began clawing at each other. As she caught her breath, Caid also caught a hard punch from Drei, who had sorted out his surprise and pain. She returned in kind, and ran Drei to the ground.

The skirmish escalated. While Caid and Drei exchanged blows and grappled, the fighting around them devolved into spree of pushing and shoving between Biggs, Jessie, John, and Zal.

Winding up for a knockout punch, Caid felt a large hand wrap around her wrist. She was airborne before she knew what was happening. Jek had gotten Wedge off just long enough come to Drei's aid, and lobbed her out of the scuffle. She fell towards the alley, spinning forward and landed face first, breaking the fall with her hands.

"ENOUGH!"

Caid shuddered to a booming voice directly over her head. She pulled her face out of the ground and looked back to the fighting. Drei and his gang were gone, sprinting back the way they had come from. Her friends fell in a short distance behind her; they pale-faced and nervously standing at attention. Caid turned her head forward and came eye-level with a familiar pair of boots. She looked up.

"Oh. Hey Master Gladiolus." Caid craned her neck up from her stomach-lying position. Towering well above her even as she stood upright (rather, she was yanked up by the hood of her sweater), was a wall of a man. Clad in leather fatigues from the fit pants to the overshirt worn open against black knit tank top, the man's rugged look, shoulder-length hair, the man looked the part of a burly biker; the scar creasing down his face over his left eye was the proof of his toughness and status as a veteran warrior. "What're you doing here?" Caiden half-challenged.

Her swordsmanship instructor stood, his massive arms crossed, and his expression one of stern disapproval. The man shook his head. He uncrossed his arms and pulled something from his pocket. In his right hand he revealed a teched-out wristband device: Caiden's communicator. He dangled it inches from her face.

The girl scowled as she tried to hide that she was blushing. "Uuh..."

Gladiolus lobbed the communicator up, and Caiden snatched it out of the air.

"You were told to keep that on you at all times, Caid. With the WDC, and as a Keybearer, you gotta be ready to go at a moment's notice. You got that?"

"Yeah. Yeah I got that." Caiden snapped back, fitting the communicator to her left wrist. "It's a day off though," she spat as she adjusted the strap.

"Good. And you're in luck. You've got a message in." Gladiolus ignored her attitude.

"What about?"

"Can't say; didn't read it; that's on you."

Caid's eyes rolled, but fell back quickly at the scowl on Master Amicitia's face. She scrolled to the latest message. "They want me in the Debriefing Room. They're canceling the day off?!" Caid looked longingly at her friends, only for forceful hand to almost throw her in the other direction.

"Then better hop to it." Gladiolus pulled her around and gave her a "light" push and ushered her away from her gang. He turned back to the trio behind him. "Quit gawking and get on home!" Caid heard the swordsman bark; three sets of footsteps frantically running off faded away behind them.

Clearly, her fun was coming to an end, at least for now.

=====/=====

The trek back to the castle was a long one. The way was nearly empty; save for a small contingent of battle-ready members, the WDC was represented only by a support staff of maintenance workers and engineers necessary to keep the castle operating and the town protected. Master Amicitia was among those kept behind to sure up the defenses while other operatives were off-world... they said he had been a hunter of monsters back on his home world; some people even said he had been bodyguard to a prince.

In his part time role though, he was charged to the mentorship of Caiden.

Caid, for her part, walked along silently. The pressure of her teacher behind her kept her moving briskly. Gladiolus' days of whipping an oppositional royal into shape had translated into a gift for getting rebellious youth to fall in line. Since she had come under his wing, Caid had grown at least a respect for the man. He was tough, and had street smarts. Given enough time, Caiden thought she might have come to see him as a father figure; she still wasn't sure how she'd feel about that. Other than Ame, her other instructor, Gladiolus was one of the only people in the WDC that Caid could truly admit to trusting.

=====/=====

Caid crossed the threshold into the castle's entrance hall. Pacing slightly more quickly, she climbed the steps up and walked to the main lift station. Gladiolus stayed at her heels the whole way, and the two entered one of the magic-powered lifts that would bring them up to the debriefing room off of the Grand Hall.

"So," Gladio spoke suddenly, making Caiden jump. "You gonna tell me what that was all about back there?"

"What about it?" Caid retorted with a red face.

"You've been stirring up trouble out there. Thought it'd have gotten out of your system by now."

"Drei had it coming. He started it."

"Looked to me like you threw the first punch kid."

"He dissed me."

"How so?"

"Called me a 'punk-ass Keyblader.'"

"And that meant you had to start a free-for all in the street?" Gladio's voice raised.

Caiden turned to look him the eye. Her eyes sharpened. But she said nothing.

"And you dragged your friends into it too. And now look at you!"

Caid hadn't thought of it until now, but she became suddenly aware of the black eye, bruised cheek, and bleeding lip she had walked away from the fight with... and then more so the scrapes and cuts from rolling and tossing around on the street. Her expression, though, remained unfazed.

"You feel any better for it? Feel like you won the fight?"

"Yeah. Actually. I do."

Her master shook his head again, and held back a burst of anger with a deep breath.

The remaining journey up the castle was spent in silence. It wasn't until the pair stood outside the Debriefing Room that either of them spoke.

"So." It was Caid that broke the quiet. "What's this mission for?"

"Can't say."

"You don't know?"

"I do. But I'm not gonna tell you. You gotta go in there and find out for yourself." The man shook his head. "Time to grow up kid."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"You're a Keybearer. You've gotta start acting like it. You've got a responsibility, a duty. And there's no running from it. Not any more." He swung the door open.

Caid walked briskly into the room; a push from behind lurched her first step forward. Behind her, she heard "got another one for you," followed by the door closing behind her. Caid approached the rest if the room's occupants, ignoring or oblivious to any stares she might get for her scuffed up state.

There were three others in the room already. One, she knew: Ame, who had also taught her. The others, were an older looking girl with blonde hair and a laid back posture. The other was a young woman with blue hair and a sheathed sword at her hip, who was next to Ame; Caid figured her to be another WDC person. She couldn't be sure what to make of either of the two strangers; she just hoped they wouldn't slow her down.

"This better not be some baby errand," Caid said, standing next to blonde girl.
