Drew frowned as Kyra mentioned how it was better to be closer to one's family, prompting a "Yeah, I know." From Drew, which he muttered under his breath. After a few moments of silence, Drew turned away from Kyra for a moment, before turning back to her, "I don't know yet. I was hoping to find some kind of purpose here." He explained, with a toothy smile, "And also, I don't have many friends. Just you, Cleric, Casey, and Ellie. And even then, I don't know Cleric or Ellie that well." Drew scratched his chin, realizing Kyra and Casey were his only actual friends, "So I guess we both don't have much." He chuckled again, making light of their social situation. Drew crossed his legs, and leaned back on his hands, "I'm just kinda here, I guess. I don't like much at Kadic, and I didn't like much back at home, but now all I can think about is home. Yet, whenever I was home, all I could think about was going away from it." Drew started up, without much preamble. Talking about himself had brought out something in him, a sudden urge to just kind of talk about himself, "I'm just confused. Everything beautiful is far away," Drew kept going, turning his gaze from Kyra, and looking at the ground, with an almost vacant look in his eyes, "or maybe everything far away is beautiful. It's like how the grass is greener on the other side. Grass just looks nicer from the other side, you know? Grass where you're standing looks like dirt with hair." Drew finished, pulling up some grass from the ground, as he spoke. After a moment of silence, Drew looked back over at Kyra, "Sorry for ranting. That was kind of unwarranted." Drew gave a laugh, hoping to ease any feeling of awkwardness Kyra felt.
