History
*Had a fairly normal childhood growing up in one of the larger colonies. Loving, supporting parents, a nice home, plenty of food on the table. Living near a large spaceport, he grew up watching the many ships come and go. He was fascinated with them.
*When he turned 18, he decided to enlist in the Federal Navy. His recruiter initially pushed him away from applying for the pilot training program, but he was determined to fly and soon found himself learning to pilot military spacecraft. He did well over the course of his training, and in the course of a couple years found himself assigned to a fighter squadron based within the carrier FS Event Horizon.
*Several years later, after a handful of successful deployments, Greg had managed to become an Ace. All was well, but unfortunately, flying into a combat zone is dangerous. Greg and his squadron had been deployed to help combat an enemy bombing campaign. On the first flight out, tragedy struck. The bomber's escort had hidden, laying in ambush, and once Greg opened fire on one of the targets a hostile fighter peppered his hull with fire, cracking the canopy and shooting Greg out into the inky blackness of deep space. In the destruction of his ship, his suit had taken severe damage, causing it to not seal properly. He floated through the dark, freezing and slowly dying of asphyxiation for an entire 16 minutes and 32 seconds before a friendly ship picked him up. He had suffered from major frostbite all over his body, specifically his arm and leg.
*Considered unfit for service, Greg was honorably discharged and sent away. Even after getting advanced prosthetic limbs, no one would hire him for any piloting jobs. He was broken, but not defeated. He wandered the galaxy looking for work, doing odd jobs now and then. Just enough to keep himself alive and healthy. That's how he lived for a few years until one fateful day. He had finally found someone who would let him fly.
