Name: Epona Cannelle, nicknamed "Cake"

Age: 24

Gender: Female

Race: Terran

Persuasion: Pentacles

Element: Earth

Zodiac sign: Cancer

Appearance: Epona is a 5"5' Terran with soft light brown fur from the waist down, resembling a sandy colour. She has soft white fur growing up the centre of her belly, blooming out over her size B breasts and feathering off just beneath her collarbone. She also has a small triangle of fur going up her back, stopping at the centre of the small of her back. She has a soft, heart-shaped face with full cheeks tapering to a fine chin, her eyes are a vibrant green colour and her hair is kept traditionally short, in a neat bob cut. Her ears protrude slightly from behind her hair, perhaps the most angular part of her face while the rest of her features are soft and rounded. She is considered "slim" though her stomach is not flat, due to her profession.

Weapons/other combat abilities: Though Epona tends to lean more towards healing - she would consider herself a 'combat healer' - she tends to lean more towards manipulating plant-matter over earth, as it tends to be more malleable, and easier to control in her opinion. As for healing, she is adept at infusing foods, mostly cakes, cupcakes and pastries with medicinal herbs in a way as to make many 'healing' foods. Along with this she uses the traditional use of raw earth magic to heal, which is the type of magic she tends to specialise in, over offensive magic.

Bio: Epona was born into a small agricultural town at the side of a river in a dense forest area. Her family owned a small section of land where they grew medicinal herbs and would often travel from their small town into Elgia, which was downstream, to sell their herbs. Ever since Epona was little, she was interested in the healing profession her family took up. Her parents, who were very skilled in healing magic, taught her how to manipulate earth magic to heal, but could not help her in controlling earth to fight as it was not their way. Being ambitious, her dream would be to run a business like her parents. Something bigger...

As soon as she was old enough, she was often the one who would travel to the city of Elgia to sell away their wares. She often found herself setting up shop next to a bakery, which she would stare into and look at the delicious cakes and if she were lucky, she would earn enough to buy one herself. This inspired her to learn how to bake, and with much persuasion, her parents moved closer to the city, buying Epona an apprenticeship at one of the bakeries inside the city. She was an apprentice at a small bakery run by a Human who specialised in fire magic, who used their fire to power their stone ovens. Inspired by the design of the industrial sized oven, she would learn how to make one herself. Though she was not very skilled at earth magic beyond healing which her parents taught her, she could not bend rocks to her will, as they were so much harder to control than plants, so much tougher.

In order to overcome this, she found a small magic school for mages and human scholars and, although she could not afford a proper course, she would rent out books specialising in manipulating earth, for both attacking and otherwise. Over many years she attempted to self-teach a rudimentary sort of control over magic, refine her skills and eventually could use basic spells to control plants and rocks alike. At this stage, she deemed herself ready to attempt to start her own business. Many Terrans owned successful businesses in the city, so as soon as she was old enough, she got a temporary job working at the bakery she grew up working as an apprentice in while she looked for the "perfect" bakery for her. She found a small business run by a kind terran family which she applied to work at. Once she was accepted she told the owners about her ideas for mixing the herbs with the cakes. The owners, seeing this as a prime business opportunity to stand out from the other businesses, allowed her to experiment with this until she found the perfect recipes, which she would use to sell the cakes at that bakery.

Although she had found herself a stable job and a place to learn, she'd exhausted her supplies. So she began looking for other areas, places where spellcasters would flock to. She'd spent her free time asking around for any hint of places where she could find new knowledge, new books to refine her skills which were... Somewhat lacking. She'd heard of a small town, Atvance they'd called it. It was said to have a good library where she could search for what she needed. Determined to improve, she'd made her way there. Once confirming the hearsay, she made a trip to the small town, which was located unfortunately far. Sadly she could only visit once every few months due to its distance. But when she could she would rent books, armfuls at a time, to study alone at home further refining her spellcasting to a level she was somewhat happy with.

Other: Just to clarify what she is, as I'm not sure if I explained it very well - she's a baker who bakes medicinal herbs into cakes to make them easier to take. She's a self-taught fighter, so she's not outstandingly strong, but she can hold her own in a fight (she may bake poisons into cakes but rarely as it's really easy to mix them up and that leaves for bad results). She can also use adept earth healing magic.

First thing that came to mind, sorry. XD

Anyway!! This looks mostly good to me. The only big thing that stands out to me is that there's no mention of her being in Atvance, which is where the RP starts. Even if she lives permanently in Elgia, she has to at least be visiting Atvance for some reason at the start of the RP. That's an important thing to address. o3o

I'm glad I'm not the only one haha. Also, we finally have a female character of normal height! Assuming Terrans average near the same as humans...

Yeah, I would say Terrans are about the same height as humans (not counting antlers, anyway).

HAVING A STATISTICAL NORMALITY IS UNACCEPTABLE!

there's no mention of her being in Atvance,
Ah I'll fix that up right away, as for the name >;3c an inspiration for the character, some would say.

I'll make the new stuff a different colour so you can find it easily and once I get a go-ahead I'll change it back to normal.

OH NO

I'M AVERAGE
Actually, your character is one of the most average I've seen yet, in terms of her alignments being where they "should be." That doesn't mean she's a boring character though, especially seeing as 'average' in this case is a far cry from the human average.

Thankfully that's what I was going for. I imagined there would be a bunch of people who surpass the norms. I love a character who's pretty normal and looks around at everyone like "How did I get tangled up in this. I just wanted to get a coffee and here I am with a group of psychos." Haha

And even then, having non-dominant alignments isn't super uncommon. I'd say that having a non-average combination of alignments happens probably about as often as, say... being left-handed*. :P It's just that having non-average alignments -- especially in regards to demi-humans having a different persuasion than usual -- would probably have a much larger impact on one's life than simply having a hard time using tools that were designed for right-handed people.

*That being said, don't quote me on the exact odds with that left-handed thing. The odds of being born left-handed -- according to google -- are apparently 1-in-10. But the exact odds of having an uncommon alignment combination would be a lot more difficult to calculate, especially since there are a whole bunch of different ways that one can have uncommon alignments, and some combinations would surely be rarer than others. For example, a cups/earth human would surely be a lot less rare than a pents/fire Avian, for various reasons. And, even with all that being said, I don't think I really want to try assigning exact probabilities to all of these things in the first place... but, yeah, feel free to use left-handed people as a very approximate example for this sort of thing.

...Care to elaborate on that?
I see through clear eyes Kaga, I can the conspiracy of the lizard-alien-robot-chocolate eclair-government official-candyfloss-overlords who actually have two left hands!

Apparently even your special eyes couldn't see that you completely forgot the verb in that clause. :P

ALSO, on the topic of reasons-why-I-haven't-done-things, I should also mention that my house does not have AC, and it can be very hot some days, which makes me feel very lethargic and uuggghhh, and sometimes I try to power through and at least do some things but at the same time I sort of don't want to overwork myself and die so there's that.

...Maybe I should try to make it to the library one of these days so I can do stuff there. In this digital age, it's easy to forget the many uses that libraries still have -- like providing a place that you can go to for free that has AC, wi-fi, and is overall a quiet and comfortable place to sit down and get stuff done.

Oh... but wait... wasn't that one library near me supposed to relocate...? I mean, I know they haven't physically torn the building down yet, but, is it still open...? Ugghhh it better still be open... I have no idea how I'll find the next closest library... especially if I have to rely on bus routes... ;_;

Let me eplain what our resident lunatic meant. You know how when you greet people, mostly everyone raises their right hand, empty palm forward? This proves to other people that you are unarmed and therefore trustworthy. Similiarly, by extending and shaking hands with people, you are also making yourself vulnerable... at least, right-handed people do. Left-handed people could shake hands with someone using their right hand, then quickly draw a knife and stab them with their left. As a result, the word 'sinister' came to both mean 'things related to the left' (as opposed to 'dexter', which is about things related to the right) and 'wicked, evil'. Add some religious and cultural elements to that, and the link between left-handed people and evil was quickly made.

Unless "can" IS the verb. Maybe he is currently trying to get said conspiracy to shut up, ergo, he's canning it?

Bruv, I thought we agreed to never actually explain anything to Kaga and just make everything super confusing for the rest of time itself.

...All I know is that Ringo Starr is left-handed, and so calling the adorkable Mr. Peace & Love "evil" because of that is just really funny to me.

@Jessikka The edited version looks good to me! Sorry it took me so long to notice -- I was waiting for an "ok, I edited it" post or something. I don't exactly get notified about post edits. o.o

In any case! I'll add her to the accepted list.
