- High fantasy is my personal favorite, followed closely by modern fantasy and post-apocalyptic, but I can happily play in any genre if the plot is good enough.
The seamstress smiled at the sleepy noise of complaint that came from within the blankets, setting her teeth on full display. However, the words that followed only a moment later caused her eyes to squint in happiness.
Unlike Brach, who went directly to Arryn to pick up Astrid, the rest of the servants in the palace knew nothing about the newly arrived fairy, other than the fact that she was His Majesty's fiancée. All of Brach's uncertain, reserved cynicism was completely missing from the rest of the staff. That meant Rioka-Suiki looked down at the sleeping future Empress with nothing but curiosity and kindness in her gaze.
However, Astrid's sudden yell caused Rioka's eyes to go wide in shock, as she let out a little yelp of her own. However, a moment later and she was on the other side of the bed, hovering worriedly around the fallen Astrid, uncertain if she should reach out her hand to help.
"Are you alright? Did you have a nightmare?" she asked, worry practically oozing from her voice. A second later and she seemed to settle on a conclusion, kneeling down next to Astrid with her long tail extending on the floor behind her, causing her loose skirt to billow out wide.
"It's okay, hold still. I'll help untangle you."
Reaching out a clawed hand, Rioka paused before her scales touched the blanket. However, a second later, and vividly green magic began to shimmer around her needle-like claws, before it stretched out towards the blanket like fine silken threads. The magic light wove itself into the blanket, before the entire bundle of blankets began to unfold like a blooming flower.
Only a few moments later, and Astrid was freed from her entanglement, the blanket neatly folding itself at the foot of the bed under the influence of Rioka's green magic. Rioka looked at Astrid with tender, worried eyes. "Are you alright, Your Majesty? That was quite the tumble."
