Hi again! Posting the character here with your permission!

Michael-Weatherly-with-glasses-michael-weatherly-30615454-454-640.jpg

Name: Mike "Rubik" Thorpe
Age: 30
Height: 5'10"
Race: Human
Hair: Light-chestnut
Eyes: Hazel
High Concept: ARMOR's wheelchair-bound surveillance & unmanned drone expert
Trouble: An ace broken by newly found weakness
Aspect: Unmanned drone expert
Aspect: Surveillance system specialist
Aspect: Contact with alternate selves

Power Grid:
Intelligence: 6 (Super-Genius)
Strength: 2 (Normal)
Speed: 2 (Normal)
Durability: 1 (Weak)
Energy Projection: 1 (None)
Fighting Ability: 4 (Experienced Fighter)

Bio: With initial background in an unmanned surveillance firm, Mike Thorpe saw a meteoric rise through the ranks and clearance levels of A.R.M.O.R, following his recruitment around the age of 26. Surprisingly, he exhibited an impressive grasp of the concept of alternate realities and approached issues at hand with a cool head, and, whenever necessary, a firm grip on a firearm's handle thanks to the training he received.
However, about a year and a half ago, a mission ended in a disaster. Although the threat was ultimately subdued, Mike suffered an injury that cost him the use of his legs. Desperate to return to the field and shamed to no end by being forced into a wheelchair, he took drastic measures by allowing a prototype medicine to be used on him. The results were catastrophic as the medicine messed with his regenerative system and prevented what restoration could have been possible for his legs.
After a bout of near-suicidal depression, agent Rubik saw another unexpected side-effect to the medicine. Gradually his already above-average brain activity spiked. The drones he had used in the past seemed inferior now – he could clearly see improvements that could be made and zealously tinkered in a lab borrowed from his more compassionate colleagues on the staff. The results were remarkable as his old capabilities reached a new height.
Following a series of tests performed internally by A.R.M.O.R to test Mike's fitness for ongoing duty (his psychological state in particular was a great concern), it was decided to entrust him with an experimental device capable of homing in on the user's alternative universe counterparts and contacting them. His objective? To explore the device's uses and find suitable applications for the future.

Skillset: The training he was provided with at A.R.M.O.R helped establish knowledge of most non-specialized firearms and CQC. These skills are now poorly applicable due to his being restrained to a wheelchair. Of note however is his extensive knowledge of a great variety of surveillance systems with greatest emphasis being made on unmanned drones. Lately with the sudden near-supernatural spike in intelligence he has become more than capable of designing his own templates for use in the field. Rumor has it he was even working on a suitable "proxy" he could employ in the field. In addition A.R.M.O.R entrusted him with the SARPD (Stable Alternate Reality Portal Device) prototype, usable to make contact with one's counterparts in alternate realities.

Personality: Mike has made a painful transition, and not of his own volition. Charming and wisecracking, most would have described Agent Rubik as "driven" in the past. Recruitment by A.R.M.O.R was taken by him with nothing short of outright excitement and he would strive to perform his duty with flair. His injury was a tragedy in many ways. While he is certainly now employing newly found skills and increased aptitudes, some argue that he is not the same at all. This is no longer the genuine excitement of a thrill-seeker discovering a new world. This is a broken man in a rush to keep himself from falling apart. Albeit one that manages to veil most of it adequately. Mike relishes his tasks and prepares drones for deployment with wild abandon, operating them like a skilled chess-master - the closest he can do to an actual return into the field. The SARPD device holds a new danger for him. He does not represent his best possible outcome, so what would seeing the versions of Mike Thorpe that ended up in better condition, or worse condition for that matter, do to him in his present state?

*Looks at new character* He seems like someone fun to RP with.

:earth:BIG UPDATE!:earth:

Look for Mission Threads to show up on Monday, but probably not all at once. I will be posting them Invitation Only and we'll do the "Recruiting" for the individual missions IC in the Casual/SoL Thread. I haven't dropped the full foreshadowing for Mission Two yet but hope to do so with @Greenie before Monday, so if you don't want the spoiler, don't open it til I get it done. Note that these do not have to be done all at once so it is possible for the same agent to go on multiple missions. Ideally, I am looking for teams of four PCs for each mission, as more than that makes posting order and combats a real issue. Also, even though this is not a dice RP, I will be tracking the missions you finish and occasionally give targeted rewards for experience to PCs based on what they accomplish or survive.

It is also important to note that these missions do not necessarily happen in any particular order, although I do ask that you have your PC on only one mission at a time. After you have completed one mission with your primary PC, you'll be allowed a second PC, and once they complete a mission, a third and so on, but only three PCs will be allowed on "Active" status at one time, even if you end up with a bunch of them. The remaining PCs can post in the Casual/SoL thread but not be assigned to missions as they would be in "Reserve" status. Also note that I will automatically assign one PC or NPC to each mission.

Threat Levels explained:
GREEN - LOW TO NO RISK OF AGENT CASUALTY. INFORMATION GATHERING MISSIONS AND 'FLUFF' MISSIONS TO BUILD SHIELD'S PUBLIC IMAGE.
BLUE - LOW RISK OF AGENT CASUALTY. MAINLY FOR DISASTER RESPONSE AND 'CLEAN UP' OF OTHER MISSIONS, FOR PUBLIC RELATIONS PURPOSES.
YELLOW - AVERAGE RISK OF AGENT CASUALTY. THE BULK OF AEGIS MISSIONS WILL BE IN THIS THREAT LEVEL.
ORANGE - ABOVE AVERAGE RISK OF AGENT CASUALTY. OPPONENTS IN THESE MISSIONS WILL BE AT LEAST AS POWERFUL AS THE AGENTS.
RED - ABOVE AVERAGE TO HIGH RISK OF AGENT CASUALTY. THESE MISSIONS ARE OF THE HIGHEST PRIORITY TO AEGIS AND WILL HAVE PLOT ARC EFFECTS.
BLACK - COVERT OPERATIONS WITH AVERAGE TO HIGH RISK OF AGENT CASUALTY AND A FOCUS ON REMAINING COVERT. THESE MISSIONS OFFICIALLY DON'T EXIST.

I know this seems like a lot, but I won't be posting these all at once, just two or three at a time. I wanted a real 'agency' feel to the RP. Plus, it lets you know that I have a lot planned for this RP and will be able to expand it!

@sleepingxdragon
@⚖ General Scales ⚖

I need to know if you are still interested in this RP.

Also, please advertise to your RP buddies as due to the way I am handling this RP I can deal with a large quantity of players easily!

Cheers!

*Looks at Mission Stephen is assigned* I actually love it, one of my favorite Marvel games Future Fight focuses on evil versions of well known characters, it's cool to see.
