Name: Klavdiya Pavelovich Nadezhkin
Age: 38
Appearance: Klavdiya is very tall, getting into the six foot range. She is very well built, bulky and able to 'hit like a truck' as one receiver of her punch has said. She has light brown hair that is shoulder length in the front while being longer in the back, and is very straight. She has light blue eyes-- even if 'eyes are the window to the soul', hers seem locked, unwilling to give any hint of anything deeper than a stiff poker face. Klavdiya has multiple scars, one going across their face; Starting at the far right corner of their forehead slashing across to the left edge of their cheek bone. Another scar is a patch slightly to the upper left of her chest. She has multiple scars on her legs and arms as well.
Klavdiya usually wears a well-fitting navy blue suit with a white undershirt and black tie. Otherwise, she will wear any other clothes that she needs to, usually those that suit the job and/or environment that she's in.
Personality: Klavdiya carries a stiff and cold persona with a firm, unwielding poker face. Much of what one might do to garner a reaction from her is fruitless, as she will at most give it a slight glance, or if needed, will 'subdue'. However, as good as she is at masking her own emotions, body language can speak louder than words.
Despite her rather large presence, she prefers to stay in the background, making little to no comments on most events that go on around her unless she feels the need to answer when spoken to. Otherwise, Klavdiya is very stiff in most social situations, and isn't very good at holding an engaging conversation. If going into a social situation, she prefers to be with someone who can do most of the talking for her. Klavdiya isn't one to see the subtleties of what's going on around her, but she does have 'the memory of an elephant's'. As such, she can piece things together given enough time.
As amoral as she is when it comes to many things (particularly gruesome violence and underground crime), Klavdiya does have a her own, personal moral code that she follows. Part of it involves her own sense of loyalty. While somewhat fueled by companionship she might feel with those she's working with, it's more motivated by maintaining her own lineage and pride in her family name... That being said, however, there is a chance that this can be challenged.
Is fairly good with numbers, and when bored, may do calculations-- seems rather unaware of her own ability regarding this.
History: There's a strong network of underground crime within the Doxan Empire. There are your typical thugs, littered among all the districts. But who /do/ you go to if you're a noble who wants... a favor, let's say? One that you would certainly be willing to pay a pretty penny for. If only because a noble wouldn't want to do the dirtier work that would certainly stain their gloves. And against another high-class member, no less.
The Nadezhkin family has stepped in to fill such a job market. They're a family who due to the various jobs and 'favors' they have done for many high-class individuals, have become somewhat like nobles in their own right. But, the family's true loyalty resided only with themselves. Anyone entering the family was very strictly chosen, one who would be right to carry on the family line and be able to isolate themselves. As such, unless you are doing business with them, they are very suspicious and cold to anyone outside of their circle, often referred to as 'foreigners' by the family.
Klavdiya's own life as a Nadezhkin was very authoritarian. Any love she might have felt for her fellow family members is very debatable. But there was one thing that was very certain: Loyalty. There is a saying among Nadezkhins: "A Nadezhkin may leave a Nadezhkin in the middle of winter to strengthen them, but only within a mile of the cabin." Perhaps this, in itself, was what Klavdiya learned was a warped sense of affection.
As for how Klavdiya ended up in a crew full of 'foreigners'... it is because as rich as nobles requests have made them, Nadezhkins know how fickle of a market this can be-- especially when one does not cover their tracks and the matter of blackmail is involved. But dragon hunting, /that/ seems like an interesting market. Certainly one that the Nadezhkins could latch onto as another avenue for profit and power... except, one problem arose: dragon hunting was not something familiar to the family line. Certainly, they could aquire a ship, a crew made of their own family... but the lack of skills could lead to massive casualties that could prove too large a risk should it leave a void in the family.
Hearing that there was a Dragon Hunting crew recruiting, they reluctantly came to what was a safer option: Send one of their own to join this crew. Should it prove to be a successful endeavor, they could report back as to what the experience was like, and they can go from there. Klavdiya, chosen for this task, is determined to serve her family the best she can... although, may not anticipate her loyalty being brought to question.
Skills: *Is very well built, and very trained as well. Only those that are skilled in combat as well would be able to match her. Also has good reflexes.
*Has a very good memory, and does not forget easily. Particularly faces. Is a good listener, even when it appears as if she isn't.
*Has knowledge of underground crime, especially that pertaining to crime groups. Due to her association with the Nadezhkins, also has connections to nobles as well.
*Knows how to hide her emotions well... although, this may also be a case of not knowing how to express them well.
Luggage: *Her suit and other clothes that would be more useful when hunting/more active
*Prefers her bare fists (or any melee weapons she can get her hands on) when it comes to fighting. Has a pair of brass knuckles and hand-wrappings.
*The Nadezhkin family has provided her with a highly trained bird that will deliver letters that Klavdiya writes to them, usually detailing her experiences on the ship and such.
*A knife with her family's crest engraved on the handle. Able to cut through very thick material.
Motivation: Wants to serve her family the best she can, with utmost loyalty. Maybe be subject to change as she gets to know the crew better.
