"Oh dear," Kavik muttered as she tried to look at the map without it getting damaged by the constant rain. Perched on the girl's shoulder was a sleepy looking avian Pokemon, its body was round with leaves sprouting from its chest resembling a rather cute bowtie. "Robin, I can't see a thing," She groaned while folding the map and tucking it away in her bag where it would be safe from water damage. Her partner only tilted its head in confusion and cooed lightly at Kavik's remark.
Silently Rowlet took off, flying above Kavik for a moment before taking off in the direction of its choosing. She could only give a sigh of relief for her partner's excellent vision at night and quickly sought shelter while she waited for the Pokemon to return. During her wait she wasted no time and began studying her surroundings, jotting down notes on her journal and struggling to hang onto her umbrella as the wind tried to steal it away. Despite the weather a Seviper and Zangoose looked as if they were ready to fight, but were promptly broken apart by the sound of a snapping tree branch.
I guess old grudges stay in the blood. She thought while closing her notebook as soon as she had caught Rowlet's spherical body hovering overhead once again. It showed no indication of wanting to land which gave Kavik the hope that it had found shelter. "Way to go, Robin!" She called, her words being lost in the wind, but Rowlet wasted no time in leading Kavik to the newfound shelter. It was struggling against the wind after all.
Where Rowlet had led her was a bit unnerving, the house looked stable enough to survive the storm but worn enough to give it a bit of a haunted feeling. Greenery grow on its walls, looking as though it was trying to make the house apart of nature. Before she could protest the wind had finally stolen her umbrella, the rain nearly soaking her to the bone before she scrambled into the house. It was a fancy looking house, one that probably belonged to a wealthy family before being abandoned and with nothing better to do she did the only thing she could do, and that was to explore.
Tentively she climbed up the creaky stairs, feeling a bit nervous and just the slightest bit paranoid she was being watched. A loud hoot startled Kavik making the girl shriek and nearly knock down an old door in response. Behind her was Rowlet who may have gotten into the house through a opening in the roof that lead to the attic, but she couldn't tell it was even in the house with how silent it's flying was. "D-don't ever do that again," she sputtered while opening the door, greatfull to see it was actually a bedroom.
