@Brovo Updated post is
here. Assuming all is ship-shape, I'll require...
- Instincts (6 points spent in Grunt.)
- Random Mutations (6 Points spent in Listener. 2 already featured.)
- Stage of Mutation (Assuming Currently 0, but that will likely change very quickly in post-interview circumstances.)
- Faction Affiliation Ratings
- Requisitions.
Instinct - Too Quiet: You've survived for ages on the run, sometimes alone. No equipment to help you in this cold, terrible world. So it's all about listening for trouble, or, sometimes, the lackthereof... (Character has a small chance of automatically detecting a character in stealth near them, even if they produce no sight or sound to alert the character. This applies to both hostile and friendly targets.)
Random Mutation - Ghosts: In fogs, especially those created by the Children of Eve's mutants, this character can see flickers of the fog moving in unnatural patterns--like someone moved through them, in spite of nobody being there. Yet, they have that nagging feeling that someone
is there... Someone
is watching, though it is not a life form that you can even properly conceive of. (Mutant detection methods can trigger on nothing in the city ruins Orange Fog.)
No Stages of Awakening recorded.
Faction Affiliations.
- The Old Guard: Allied. ("You risked everything for us, and Marie raised you like a daughter. We're proud of you.")
- The Coalition: Distrusted. ("You have worked against our interests, and betrayed Jenive...")
- U-ARM: Distrusted. ("Mutants who embrace their talents so much, rather than realize what they are: A danger to all mankind...") (This will never improve.)
- Red Star: Neutral. ("We don't know you well enough to care one way or the other for you. Though we've engaged in combat, we have no reason to believe you a threat to our operations at this time. Don't make us change our minds.")
- Children of Eve: Neutral. ("So wild, so promising, young child... You will yet know the truth of your existence.")
Requisitions.
- Carolyn Antoinette (The Old Guard): Carolyn has developed a friendly relationship with Kiku, and owes her for her loyalty on a mission.
- Jenive Rousseau (The Coalition): At this point a relationship borne primarily out of guilt. Though The Coalition distrusts Kiku, she could potentially ply Jenive for aid one time--and only one time.
- Marie Black (The Old Guard): Marie looks on Kiku like a daughter, and will try to help her however it is most appropriate.
- Mouse (No Affiliation): Mouse will help anyone willing to repay him later, but he has taken a particular affection toward the squad of survivors that made it back from the Orange Fog.
Updated my sheet as well,
take a look!
A few things to note:
- Need one (or more, but probably one) Instincts, as I spent 4 Points into Grunt
- Added a cosmetic effect to indicate that he's spent a point into Listener
- Pilot is a bit odd. Tank Goodness and Armored Beast swapped positions and were renamed to Laser Cannon and AEGIS respectively. Laser Cannon got a bit of a rewrite to indicate it's main effect a bit clearer. Everything else is copied from before.
- Left in my old sheet for comparison. Will remove once the new CS is approved.
- Aside from that, just waiting on Faction Affiliations and Instincts
EDIT: Changed Incendiary Rounds to Molten Shrapnel, to give a better idea of the ability. Let me know if there are any side effects I may not be aware of (like my barrel melting or something). Took a page from Jorick's book and gave traits descriptions that give a better idea of what they mean mechanically. Changed Tank to Medium Armor, though note that it is modified to be slightly heavier than average from "AEGIS".
No random mutations beyond your cosmetic one.
Faction Affiliations
- The Old Guard: Distrusted. ("Carolyn called on you in our hour of need, and you remained with those who would have deprived us of the truth.")
- The Coalition: Allied. ("You have proven your loyalty.")
- U-ARM: Neutral. ("A mutation can be forgiven if you learn to serve a more righteous cause, and feel shame for what it is.")
- Red Star: Distrusted. ("A dog of the State who gets in our way will be put down as surely as any other rabid beast.")
- Children of Eve: Distrusted. ("Our brother is more a Child of Sodom than a Child of Eve...")
Requisitions
- Jenive Rousseau (The Coalition): In staying with her in her darkest hour, she won't forget his loyalty, and willingness to obey orders. She will likely remain his CO for a long time to come, and she likes to take care of her men.
- Adrik Ivanov (The Coalition): Dogs loyal to the State, who follow their orders to the letter even when it risks the life of their CO or themselves, are a cut above the average man. Adrik will train and arm those in The Coalition who reflect good values--even if they don't perfectly match his cold views of the world.
- Mouse (No Affiliation): Mouse will help anyone willing to repay him later, but he has taken a particular affection toward the squad of survivors that made it back from the Orange Fog.
CS Updated
Five new traits were spent as such:
• Upgraded
Enter the Forge
• Upgraded
Steel Resolve
• Upgraded
Quicksilver
• Added
Forge Ahead
• Added
Heated Updraft
Also switched
Steel Resolve from 'has body armour' to 'has better than average body armour' since light/medium/heavy armor is an automatic part of grunts now.
Instinct - Small Fish, Large Teeth: You are constantly looked down on. Just another Grunt, how could you handle fighting enemies two times your size, or who drive around in massive vehicles? You are constantly underestimated, and that's their folly now, isn't it? (If enemies haven't seen your character do anything hostile, your character gets a surprise advantage against them. They may also ignore your character to go after more important targets, depending on how threatening your character is.)
Instinct - Too Stubborn To Die: You've an uncanny knack for survival even in the darkest of hours. (Once a mission, a lethal hit instead becomes a regular wound. It could be anywhere between moderate to crippling. It also takes longer for your character to bleed out.)
Faction Affiliations
- The Old Guard: Neutral. ("There may yet be a chance for you to change your mind, in the memory of Hewitt.")
- The Coalition: Affiliated. ("You have a crass nature that is hard to control, but you have consistently sided with us and our objectives...")
- U-ARM: Neutral. ("You may yet learn just how conniving and foolish The Coalition really is! Join us, in the name of FREEDOM!")
- Red Star: Neutral. ("Who are you again?")
- Children of Eve: Hostile. ("Ezekiel is a brother to us, Child of Sodom. What you did to him has sealed your death warrant.")
Requisitions
- Jenive Rousseau (The Coalition): Shlan, though unstable and temperamental, could yet be forged into an asset of The Coalition. At any rate, she obeyed her orders, and risked her life--she deserves compensation for that, and help.
- Mouse (No Affiliation): Mouse will help anyone willing to repay him later, but he has taken a particular affection toward the squad of survivors that made it back from the Orange Fog.
CS mostly updated, only requires a faction section and maybe some fancy formatting to give it tabs.
Advantages Revamp:
"Firearm Training" changed to "Rifleman"
"Heavy Weapons Training" changed to "Heavy Gunner"; updated to reflect the two-point investment.
"Armourer Training" changed to "Field Mechanic"
"Armour Cybernetics Expertise" changed to "Human Tank"
"Melee Weapons Training" Removed.
@Brovo Sheet requires scrutinization and Instinct equal to a full 12-point investment into Grunt skills.

- The Old Guard: Distrusted. ("Do you even question what they tell you?...")
- The Coalition: Allied. ("What few times you break orders are fully understandable. There is no doubt you serve in the greater interests of The Coalition.")
- U-ARM: Distrusted. ("A broken man who uses the technology of his masters to murder and maim in the name of totalitarian slavery.")
- Red Star: Neutral. ("We have no reason to care strongly about you, or your foolish life choices.")
- Children of Eve: Distrusted. ("A Child of Sodom will never understand our struggles, and our suffering, underneath the boots of his masters...") (This will never improve.)
Requisitions
- Jenive Rousseau (The Coalition): He risked his life for her, and she's risked her life for him. There is no second thought in her mind about whether or not she can trust her back to him, and she will care for him as she does any other member of her squad.
Bob CS upgraded to new format.
Added TL;DR notes on long-ass descriptions of traits to explain what the fuck they're intended to do. Let me know if you'd prefer I separate those out into an explanation of what each specific point is supposed to do rather than having it the way it is now.
Aside from approval on trait shit, I need grunt instincts, possibly random negative mutations, faction affiliations, and requisitions before the sheet is complete.
Instinct - Too Quiet: You've survived for ages on the run, sometimes alone. No equipment to help you in this cold, terrible world. So it's all about listening for trouble, or, sometimes, the lackthereof... You are constantly underestimated, and that's their folly now, isn't it? (If enemies haven't seen your character do anything hostile, your character gets a surprise advantage against them. They may also ignore your character to go after more important targets, depending on how threatening your character is.)
Random Mutation - Blood Fascination: After all the fights you've been in, the dull red look of blood now draws your attention. Splatters of it on walls, or even things as simple as open wounds on allies can momentarily distract you. It almost seems to stand out and call toward you, not in a sense of hunger, but more in a sense of knowledge. As though touching it would somehow make you stronger, and grant you hidden knowledge about them. You are able to resist these urges to touch, but it is nonetheless distracting. Only the blood of others does this to you--your own blood does not. (Blood has a momentarily distracting and alluring effect for Bob. This effect can be controlled and resisted around human blood, though the blood of the Children of Eve is irresistible if there are no dangers present for him.)
Faction Affiliations
- The Old Guard: Allied. ("No reason not to trust one of our oldest members who has never once wavered on us. Besides, he seems to draw in more female recruits whenever he's around.")
- The Coalition: Distrusted. ("We know where your loyalties lie. Admirable, but, ultimately, a weakness for you.")
- U-ARM: Neutral. ("All you've done is defend your home. We can admire that in a man.")
- Red Star: Distrusted. ("There's natural charm, and then there's you. Only a fool thinks you play fair.")
- Children of Eve: Neutral. ("You are starting to truly manifest your powers in your twilight years, child. Don't resist your destiny any longer...")
Requisitions
- Carolyn Antoinette (The Old Guard): He stayed loyal to The Old Guard without hesitation, though his promise to Jenive has left her somewhat concerned.
- Marie Black (The Old Guard): Old guard members who have been around long enough to make the "old" part literal. The two get along well.
- Mouse (No Affiliation): Mouse will help anyone willing to repay him later, but he has taken a particular affection toward the squad of survivors that made it back from the Orange Fog.
IC has been updated. Its all in the new format, and the new points have been spent.
Please make your inventory items into traits so they're easier to recognize in terms of point distribution.
"Super Sneaky Suit" is too advanced without requisition. You can get a suit that helps muffle your sounds, and you can adjust the colour on that suit to match the battlefield conditions you'll be in (probably always some variation of grey), but actual suit-reflecting-light-waves stuff is requisition-only.
They may also ignore your character to go after more important targets, depending on how threatening your character is.)
Faction Affiliations
- The Old Guard: Distrusts. ("A violent, heartless fool, who will find himself with few friends and many enemies.") (This will never change.)
- The Coalition: Allied. ("A tool of the State is more than useful.")
- U-ARM: Hostile. ("You're a weapon, without a mind of its own; only useful as a lesson to others why you do not mess with the righteous.")
- Red Star: Hostile. ("You killed one of our own. The Red Dragon will be waiting for the moment you close your eyes to sleep.")
- Children of Eve: Neutral. ("There is something inside you that could be made to much greater things...")
Requisitions
- Adrik Ivanov (The Coalition): There is great potential yet for this one, if there's more to them than a desire for slaughter and power.
Faction Affiliations
- The Old Guard: Distrusts. ("Traitor.")
- The Coalition: Allied. ("It seems your old family has rejected you... We have a few of those around here. You're welcome here.")
- U-ARM: Distrusts. ("So much firepower, used for such despicable ends! Washington would be disgusted by you!")
- Red Star: Neutral. ("It takes competence for us to care.")
- Children of Eve: Distrusts. ("You're a Child of Sodom, you will never understand...") (This cannot be changed.)
Requisitions
- Jenive Rousseau (The Coalition): We're both traitors to families that once loved us. Birds of a feather, fly together.
- Mouse (No Affiliation): Mouse will help anyone willing to repay him later, but he has taken a particular affection toward the squad of survivors that made it back from the Orange Fog.
omg that was long but I finally put up the
new version of the CS!
Here's what I need:
- Grunt instinct
- Random mutation
- Possible stages of awakening (considering Box assisted Evelyn by showing her the leak about the attack)
- Faction affiliation
- Requisitions
Cheeeers and let me know if the formatting is killing someone, though it's relatively light and mostly just colourful :v
Random Mutation - Cosmetic (one of your choice, or you can let my random chance table decide for you)
Random Mutation - Mother?: After recent events involving Evelyn, Box now feels an instinctive guilt around Eve. She also cannot bring herself to hurt Eve. (Cannot attack Eve, though can allow others to do so with intense feelings of guilt.)
There are no stages of awakening recorded with this character.
Faction Affiliations
- The Old Guard: Allied. ("We trust you, and you'll always have a home with us--just like you had with your surrogate parents.")
- The Coalition: Distrusts. ("We still have your brother... Maybe we should make a family reunion...")
- U-ARM: Distrusts. ("Mutants cannot be trusted... Especially ones with emotional issues.")
- Red Star: Neutral. ("You're loyal to a fault. Almost admirable.")
- Children of Eve: Neutral. ("Eve misses you, lost child... Come to us, we have shown time and again to never fear you. We'll only make your life better.")
Requisitions
- Carolyn Antoinette (The Old Guard): Stayed loyal, even when others were pressing you to stray... Though you did vanish for a little while there.
- Marie Black (The Old Guard): You served Devin, which was someone Marie respected. You fulfilled your end of the bargain, and seeing as how Devin is gone, Marie could be convinced to fulfill it on his behalf.
- Mouse (No Affiliation): You were one of the only survivors from the Orange Fog to be kind to him. He'll remember this.
