Trying to get a good starting post as a pirate is nothing without her ship. Mind if i just take one off the dock. It would be small, and easy to control with one person
I have to admit, I am so jealous of the entire class in that show, as I would so love to let loose my violence, and get paid for it XD honestly it would be easy actually, seeings as he can't resist porn magazines, even if he knows it's a trap, simply coat the magazines in that bb stuff, so that when he touches it, his tentacles go 'kaplooey', and he'll keep trying to pick up the magazine, simply because he can't resist, when he's slowed down from having no tentacles, go for the kill >:3

and as for taking a ship from the dock, would it not be impossible to sail a ship by ones self? Unless it were a rowboat, it takes a crew of at least like....four?...to properly run a ship, seeings as the sails and such have to be operated at the same time as the wheel.....well, unless it's an enchanted ship that does everything except the steering(just an idea that would help you along with this ship idea :p)

Well, this be true and the reason why I have not found one yet. Alice is looking for a small boat. She would use the 2 trap souls from her curse to assist in maneuvering the ship. Ideally though you only need 2 people. One to take the helm and one to take the sails. Since the ship i'm not looking for is not big, We won't have a lookout.

I think we can handle it

Ok, if someone has an issue with the layout of the inn, please let me know. Or if their is a an actual layout somewhere, that would help as well.

If I need to edit my post for something, please tag me and inform me. Thanks y'all

Also, I have a question for you, what skills are exactly required for those in The Urchin Animals? Because the character I will be making isn't really much of a pickpocket, and is more of a fighter. It's not that she couldn't pickpocket, just that people would certainly notice the gust of wind, or hear a loud 'bang', and realize they had stuff missing after.(casual hint at her best skill... xD)
In the Urchin Animals, Leader Raven makes sure everyone is assigned to a good role, according to their abilities. If your character is a fighter, you can protect members in trouble or something. Some muscle is nice to have.

@Gladis I just need you to make sure you have all the required information from my character sheet! :)

@Unyielding I think that Alice and Venilia should meet! They'd get along quite well! She's accepted and you're good to start now.

Also, Princess, I posted a character too!

Well, it is officially the thirteenth, for me at least. So here they are, behold my marvelous creations, I hope you guys like them as much as I do :3
Small edit before posting, because I'm too lazy to hit the backspace button: After a few touch-up's, it's now almost an hour after I was going to post this. I've officially decided to never use Notepad again, because of the fact that when you save with 'word-wrap' on, it adds a bunch of unnecessary enters, forcing you to go through and delete them all, which can take way too much time if there's a lot of text. So, from now on, google docs, not notepad. xD

The coding isn't much, simply because I can not for the life of me code anything decently anywhere, but especially not here as Iwaku's bbcode system thing seems to hate me more than the one I had been using for over a year.

Anywho, I am heading to bed now, before I randomly die on my computer XD

    Name:
    Jade "The Black Mage" Laerden
    Age:
    29
    DOB:
    June 24
    Species:
    Human, Mage
    Gender:
    Male
    Orientation:
    Asexual
    Home city:
    Caalk Bluff
    Physical description:
Jade has a slim athletic figure, is of average height, and has light brown hair that is usually just a mess. He has various scars over his body, though most are covered he does have one very visible one over his right eye.
    Personality traits:
Jade used to believe if one has the power to do something then it is their duty to do it, whether others consider it moral or not. However, he has since changed, and become much less accepting of the dark arts which corrupt and control. He is not known as The Black mage for show, and has this title for his ruthless nature that shows clearly in both battle and rage.
    History/bio:
Jade was born into a poor family, who tried to force concepts of morality and 'goodness' upon him, however this had the opposite effect on him growing up and he grew to strive for power, feeling that the only way he could achieve such things was through the dark arts. He started with simple spells, but over time he grew better, and stronger. At the age of 22 he visited a village, and massacred everyone there to create two 'dolls'. He was apprehended by some guards, but as they dragged him away, he simply smirked. Moments later a girl with a scythe took out the small group. Since then, he has been known as the black mage, but he has also learned some important lessons that have diverted him from the path he once held. He used his title to join The Dennethian Scholars, hoping to persuade them to leave the dark arts alone, or at the very least help them get through it with minimal damage.
    Skills/abilities:
Magic ~ Jade is a skilled user of the magic arts, more specifically he is skilled in using the dark arts.
Puppeteer Magic ~ A magic that is considered by many to be a dark magic, but at the same time a neutral magic, as it involves killing others to create a 'doll', which the puppeteer can then control. While most puppeteers can only use one doll, Jade possesses and expertly controls two. This magic is special, as the doll after being created, siphons the magical energy of their puppeteer, which if one is not strong enough can be deadly to the mage.
    Preferred weapon:
As a puppeteer mage jade's primary weapon would be considered his dolls, however he has other forms of magic with which to protect himself with as well.
    Notable features:
    Scar over his right eye.
    Other:
~ Jade is a member of The Dennethian Scholars

    Name:
    Sheila
    Age:
Technically seven, however appears to be in her mid-teens.
    DOB:
    October thirteenth
    Species:
    Doll/Marionette
    Gender:
    Female
    Orientation:
Heterosexual(well, if she ever meet's a guy who either survives, or doesn't trigger her instinct to kill....)
    Home city:
    Caalk Bluff
    Physical description:
Sheila is of average height and weight. She has short purple hair, amber eyes, and pale skin. Her body build is slim, but athletic.
    Personality traits:
Generally a Marionette doesn't have an actual personality, and is merely a vessel for a puppeteers magic, however due to having been created with more than a single soul, both Sheila and Paige have distinct personalities, that would make it hard for an average person to tell they are dolls. Sheila, as opposed to Paige, always seems happy.
The one thing she enjoys more than anything else is killing, and it takes a lot of Jades will-power to keep her from simply slaughtering everyone they meet.
    History/bio:
Sheila and Paige were created on October thirteenth, seven years ago, at a place known as Mythview. They have been with their puppeteer, Jade, ever since. Sheila has caused a decent amount of trouble for the mage, trying to return him to his 'dark' ways. Due to traveling with him for so long, the two know many things about him, including the reason as to why he decided to stop delving into the dark arts. Though there are still some secrets even they have yet to learn.
    Skills/abilities:
Siphon ~ As a doll she is able to siphon the magic from her puppeteer(in this case Jade) to use as her own.
Summoning ~ Sheila is able to use Jades magic to summon a huge scythe, which has a poisoned blade, though in all honesty the poison is rather useless as she won't stop swinging it until whatever, or whoever, she's attacking is in pieces.
Enhanced Strength/Durability ~ Sheila can use Jades magic to increase both her strength and durability, allowing her to take a punishment in battle, and dish one out as well.
    Preferred weapon:
Her scythe, if it's not available for some reason, such as being too far from Jade, she will use any scythe she can find...and if she can't find one, then she'll probably simply get mad and start killing people with a fork or something.
    Notable features:
When first meeting Sheila the first thing you might notice is her purple hair, or if your one to pay attention to facial expressions, the fact that she most likely looks like she wants to kill you.

    Name:
    Paige
    Age:
Technically seven, however appears to be in her mid-teens.
    DOB:
    October thirteenth
    Species:
    Doll/Marionette
    Gender:
    Female
    Orientation:
    bisexual
    Home city:
    Caalk Bluff
    Physical description:
Paige is average, in both height and weight. One could easily say everything about this girl seems far too normal to even be considered normal, except for the fact that both her hair and eyes are pink.
    Personality traits:
Generally a Marionette doesn't have an actual personality, and is merely a vessel for a puppeteers magic, however due to having been created with more than a single soul, both Paige and Sheila have distinct personalities, that would make it hard for an average person to tell they are dolls. Paige, as opposed to Sheila, always seems...well,
unemotional. This actually isn't the case, as she often expresses her emotions, it's just near impossible to tell, seeings as both her tone and expression seem to completely lack it and the only way to actually tell is to listen to her words. She loves food more than anything, especially baked sweets such as cake, and has been known to declare love to complete strangers simply because they gave her food, as such Jade tries to keep people from doing such(despite how cruel it might make him seem).
    History/bio:
Paige and Sheila were created on October thirteenth, seven years ago, at a place known as Mythview. They have been with their puppeteer, Jade, ever since. Unlike Sheila, the most trouble Sheila has ever caused for Jade was when she became engaged to a random Lord, who had invited her to a meal after seeing her stare at a bakery for an
entire day, forcing Jade to outright deny the Lord Paige's companionship.
Enchanting ~ Paige is able to use Jade's magic to imbue objects with one of four elements, those being: earth, fire, air, and water. This skill is mostly used on Sheila's scythe, and serves as nothing more than a support skill.
Shapeshifting ~ Paige is able to change her shape into the last living thing she came into contact with, whether that be a elf, dwarf, or even a mouse. She mostly tends to avoid touching people, especially if she recently came into contact with a predatory creature. This does not copy powers, but as it changes her physical shape and such, can make her stronger and/or faster depending on the form taken.
    Preferred weapon:
Paige is not much of a fighter, and leaves most combat to Sheila, however if necessary her preferred weapon would be taking the form of a predatory beast, though if not available she can pick up almost any weapon, though her effectiveness with said weapon isn't guaranteed.
    Notable features:
If one were to first meet her, they would likely notice her pink hair, and/or her pink eyes, of course if they had food, they might just notice the fact that she was staring at it.

    Name:
    Elise
    Age:
Technically seven, appears to be around ten-eleven.
    DOB:
    October thirteenth
    Species:
    Doll/Marionette
    Gender:
    Female
    Orientation:
    Bi-romantic, Asexual
    Home city:
    Satocan
    Physical description:
Elise is slightly shorter than the average ten year old, and has a petite build. Her skin is extremely pale, her eyes red, and her hair is silver, and almost always in a twin-tail style.
    Personality traits:
Elise is extremely secretive, both about her past and various other things. She wouldn't tell a soul a thing, even if her life depended on it. As such, while she might seem to be the type people can't trust, it can be seen both ways, as if somebody divulges a secret to her it will go to the grave with her, but at the same time she will never reveal
anything of herself. She is extremely serious, and doesn't care much for 'messing around'. She actually has another personality, one that only reveals itself when she uses her connection to Jade to siphon his magic, this personality is ruthless, and won't listen to anyone, this is often triggered when people try and give her commands.
    History/bio:
Elise's beginning is unknown to all but two people, herself, and the one who created her, Jade. But to know how she began, you must truly know the story of how she, Paige, and Sheila were created. A town known for it's healing medicines, and healers once existed in Evertrue, a town known as Mythview. This town was visited by a
stranger cloaked in black on the fateful day of October thirteenth, of the year 159 Phillippe. The stranger used a form of black magic, that spread through the town killing everyone. The spell he cast, did not only kill them, but trapped their souls within the corpses. He then used a different spell to gather those souls, and used them in a ritual to create three different Marionettes, with plans to be the greatest puppeteer in the lands. His plan was to use a few souls to create the first two, Paige and Sheila, and then use the entirety of the rest to create a doll with no superior. His plan worked, and the first two were comprised of only 5-6 souls each, while Elise was the result of using
over fifty souls at once. She was uncontrollable however, having more power than the mage could ever hope to control, and as such she left, completely ignoring his commands. Even the other two do not know of her existence, as she left before they had awoken. She at first ventured around the land of evertrue, with no real goal.
Eventually she reached Satocan, and met a group of pick-pockets, who'm she joined.
    Skills/abilities:
Siphon ~ As a doll she is able to siphon the magic from her puppeteer(in this case Jade) to use as her own.
Infinite Reach ~ This is what makes her such a dangerous doll, as most have to be within 30-40 feet of their puppeteer to use their magic, but Elise is capable of 'reaching' Jade from anywhere, even across dimensions if necessary.
Accelerated Speed ~ Siphoning the magic from jade increases her speed, the more she siphons the faster she moves, using this combined with her dual blades she can even take out a small group of soldiers before the captain can even tell them to attack.
Swordsmanship ~ Elise is a master of the dual blade style of combat, however she can use any sword she picks up.
Blade Enhancement ~ When in her alternate personality she is able to use jades magic to imbue her blade with special properties. Similar to Paige's ability, except it only effects her blades, and instead of applying elemental attributes, it wraps the blades in a dark aura, that works much like poison.
    Preferred weapon:
Dual blades. One of her blades is named 'Dragon Fang', the other 'Dragon Flame'.
    Notable features:
Silver hair, red eyes, pale skin, one might actually mistake her for a vampire upon first meeting her.
    Other:
~ Elise is actually frailer than the average person, and the slightest amount of pressure could easily cause her a lot of damage, as such her main strategy is to strike her enemies down before they can land a hit(though this may not always work).
~ Elise is part of Satocan's local pickpockets: The Urchin Animals.

  • These characters may seem 'overly powerful', however there is one major flaw that negates this that may not be apparent now, but will become more so in posts, especially when the marionettes use their abilities. Please read on :3

Think of a mages(or at least, a puppeteers) 'magic essence' as the same as their life essence. Normally, Puppeteers only have one Marionette, so their essence doesn't drain any faster than it replenishes. Jade however, has a total of three, and they aren't the 'average' Marionettes, so even one would drain his magic faster than normal. As such, his magical energy drains at an exponential rate when his marionettes use their abilities, and if it completely drains, he will die. Though the marionettes will live, they will no longer have that source of magic, and would no longer be able to use any of their abilities, unless they were able to find a new puppeteer.

Who is Radio Jelly?
Through action, a man becomes a hero
Through death, a hero becomes a legend
Through time, a legend becomes a myth
And by learning from the myth, a man takes action.

Radio Jelly is a player in this roleplay. Unfortunately they have been largely inactive the last time.

So how does my actions affect the real world. Like my character just made a big scene at the pier (though she hid her face). Like could I just reek havoc and be untouchable until a player takes action?

@PrincessLala95
I've looked I through it and I don't think I do. Unless I missed a password or got something wrong. >_< Although, I read through all the rules and information and couldn't find a password so I don't think I did.

I guess there's the preferred weapon and notable features but... she's not a huge fighter and I put a simple dagger as a weapon so... yeah. o 3 o She mostly relies on Raiden for that. As for notable features... I think it kind of speaks for itself. She's a child with long silvery hair who rides around on a big ass tiger and talks to plants and animals. X,D

Ok, just gonna put this here:

Requested character's name:
- The choice is yours but don't name him something like... I dunno, Bob. Preferably pick something east asian, though whether Japanese, Chinese or Korean doesn't really matter.
Requested character's connection:
- Yu
Relationship:
- Traveling Companion
Specifications:
- The character should be human or at least look fairly human.
- He'd be from outside Evertrue.
- He'd be a former soldier.
Age:
- 24+
Home city:
- None
Appearance:
- Asian and warrior-like.
Personality:
- This is mostly up to you, though I'd love for him to be a though guy with a gentle heart sort of character. He'll be like a big brother to Yu and, since he basically owes her his life, feels very strongly for her. I would like for him to be loyal. That said, the rest really is up to you.
History/Bio:
- Most of his background is your choice. The only thing I require is that he was once part of the imperial army of the Kai Empire, but ever since he was abandoned on the battle field and saved by Yu, has been traveling alongside her.
Other
- Nothing, really.

I'm sorry I've been absent guys. I've had a lot to do with work - I don't know if I mentioned this, but one of the only employees who's able to open the store is on a leave of absence because her husband passed away, and with her gone the only people who can open the store are the owner or the front end manager, so they trained me to open and I've been working a lot of early morning shifts. Which usually would be nice, except that once you start working a bunch of them in a row, you reach a point where coming home, you just want to sit down and turn off your brain, so I've been watching a lot of Netflix. I don't work tomorrow though, so I'll spend tomorrow afternoon throwing together a superpost and updating the character list and spreadsheet. I also know that I've missed a payday or two somewhere in here. I'll get that sorted out tomorrow. I'll just get everything sorted out tomorrow. Again, I'm sorry for being half-here.

All of the new characters (including any that I missed somewhere in there) are now accepted. They'll be up on the character list tomorrow when I update that, along with the rest who are in queue. Is there anything important that I may have missed somewhere along the way?

Nothing not mentioned in your post.

Don't worry, Princess, real life comes first anyway. Like when you were off for a vacation, the general public could take minor decisions.

theoretically, this wouldn't be too far-stretched. In a world like this, there are more people who are 'weak' and thus, afraid to step up, so a lot of people just ignore stuff like that(these would mostly be npcs, though an actual 'player' might be like this as well). Then you've also got the corrupt guards, that wouldn't give two shits, and would probably exploit the event by making those at the docks pay them to keep it better guarded from future stuff. And then you've got the 'players'(for lack of a better word), who might attempt to do something about what happened, or might even join in. In certain places, this might seem a little less plausible however, such as eastway bluff(though they don't have ships to steal, this is still a decent example), where almost everybody is a criminal of some sort, and there IS honor among thieves(well, most of them at least), and most would likely deem the fog incident as foul-play, seeings as using magic to scare the shit out of an opponent wouldn't be even close to a 'fair' fight, so even an npc or two would likely step up and do something(whether or not their actions have any effect is a different story, as you have already proved npcs to be powerless against the fog, and the results would probably be the same. I love that fog by the way ♥).

Reality takes priority =^.^= I hope you manage to survive the morning shifts ♥ Enjoy your netflix, and 'brain-deadness' while you can, we can wait for your days off when you don't need the brain-deadness time to relax. :3

Thanks for letting us know! I will be planning more characters coming into the game in the future!

I wouldn't say they are powerless. The NPC that Alice fought was a coward which made the fog all the more stronger. A brave person would be less affected by the fog, or just overlook it.

But since this is how the world works. I will continue terrorizing it to get what i want. Hopefully i dont run into any strong players lol.

Where... are people's characters right now? Since I'm working on a starting post but don't really want to place my character somewhere where character interaction is impossible. XD

Blue River. Right now. My characters are the only active PCs there, and I'd really like for her for one to interact with a fellow nature lover, but also any interaction other than between my characters would be nice.
