Damn. Kleo stared at the man's limp form on the ground, crimson blood had started to pool around him. This was bad. It would draw attention and Kleo did not crave attention. How would she return home now. Kleo could hear voices coming their way, reverberating footfalls sounded on the stone path. She fled without bothering to say farewell to her new found companion. Kleo could not risk getting the blame.

Kleo crouched behind a dumpster overflowing with foul rubbish, she held her breath, gagging at the stench. She watched an immaculately dressed girl kneel by the Blighted man, Kleo did not know what was going on. Why was she helping the man when she should have just left him to rot, people die everyday. It would be the easier option.

Kleo knew that you could not help everyone in the world, it was a waste of time and energy in her opinion.

There was a clanging noise, like metal hitting the floor. Leo was walking back to the situation, he was banging the bat on the floor as he walked towards them.

He had turned around because he heard something, and now people were interfering. It looked like the girl had managed to fix the mans knee. This was going to cause a problem.

"Step away from him please" Leo asked kindly. But his words did not match his actions. He was swinging hit baseball bat around his bandaged arms. "I wouldn't help him" Leo warned them as he stepped closer.

Ray observed Serenine with the utmost care. This was the perfect chance for him to test her medical skills... or at least, her research skills. He worked as a researcher for Bluecorp once, and could tell whether someone was good at medicine or not. He surely was not as good a researcher as she was, but his knowledge was sufficient.

He scanned the man continuously and watched as his condition grew better as she treated him. Ray took out a bottle of liquid from his jacket pocket and handed it to Serenine. "Blood loss needs to be tended to as well." He stood to his feet, towering over the the man. "Considering the amount of blood I am standing in, he will faint if he doesn't get water into his system..." Ray's words were interrupted by the arrival of an ominous presence.

Ray turned around. It was the same man he saw leaving the scene moments earlier. He recognized him by the deadly bat he held. He placed his hand over his eyepatch and touched a button that resided on the side. %scanning... Human... Infected The results were clear. This man was blighted... worse, a henchman. The city was crawling with mob leaders and their subordinates and Ray suspected this man was one of them.

Ray shielded Serenine and the injured man behind him, standing between them and the "henchman". "How high are the chances that you are just here to play baseball?" Asked Ray sarcastically.

At the detail of junkies, Daria's nose wrinkled at what that could mean for her. But she knew that she couldn't afford to be picky, and if he wasn't going to charge her...she didn't think she was going to find a better deal anywhere else. Sighing softly, she reached out to cautiously take his hand, shaking it firmly, "Deal.."

Serenie looked up at Ray, and then looked back down at the injured man. That was true, he needed fluids and she needed to do something about all that blood loss. She took the fluids from him, and opened up the case to put on the sterilized suit. "Now that I think about it, wouldn't IV be effective?" She mumbled to herself. Sheshould know this question, but she wanted to know. However, she didn't have the proper equipment, so even if she were to perform IV, it would be less effective. What alternitives were there...?

Her train if thought was inturrupted when she found a male with a metal baseball bat, freshblood on the end. It was safe to assume he was the one who injured the man, based offhis actions and what he was saying. "He's going to die from blood loss! Not only that... It's possible he has a concussion and he has a broken joint, why would I not help him?" She looked up at the boy with the baseball bat, as she was still in the sterile suit. The suit stretched across her body and was made up of thick, but smooth rubber along with other materials. It was also partly transparent, with the exception of turning opaque at her joints and hands. The only thing on her body not protected by the suit, was her parasol. The suit was very expensive, though many purisits could offord it, they didn't want to get it thinking they would have another reason not to fear the blighted.

Honestly, if this went any further she will not tolerate it.

Kleo sat down on the ground, her leg had started to go numb plus she was getting tired of listening in on their conversation. Stupid medical talk, Kleo could not make sense of it, Kleo liked to understand things but this she could not understand. It was pretentious garbage. The equipment that the girl used on the man were unfamiliar to her. Kleo had never been to a hospital.
She thought it was best to wait it out. Night had already started to fall over Kenton Island, the shadows grew longer and the sun cast it's last wavering rays of golden light on the brick buildings a little while longer, flooding the street with orange. The moon hung low in the sky and Kleo leaned her head back with a groan. How much longer would they be here, she was sure that the Blighted man could not be cured. He had been beaten up quite well by the boy with bandaged arms.

A cat approached Kleo, it leapt down from a windowsill and let out a meow. She scratched it behind it's ears and stroked it's russet fur. Kleo had always favored cats over dogs. It curled up against her and Kleo smiled. Kleo remembered Kai, she felt guilty for leaving her, it was selfish of Kleo. She had forgotten to introduce herself, Kai did not know her name. It was a shame, they could have become great allies. Perhaps, it was for the better. Kleo did not intend to make new friends anyways.

"Even if he really doesn't live."

The female looked down at the injured male, who she was helping to cure. Yes, it was true that his condition was severe, but she had seen many fully fledged doctors cure diseases and injuries far more worse than this. If she couldn't cure something like this, she would still have a lot to learn. Then again, she really does still have a lot to learn. There had to be IV equipment in that medical box, somewhere. She stood up, looking through the racks. Honestly, it was like a portable hospital, minus the furniture. The man was still breathing, and she was still alive. However, the loss of blood made him faint, so he couldn't move or speak despite if he were aware he were being treated or not. She finally found a small packet of alcohol wipe, and an already assembled pole specific for IV treatment. Now, she just needed the part to stick into his vein. It would sting at first, but it would pump fluid into his blood stream. What was it called again? She remembered she had to perform IV for her father back when she was performing chemotherapy for cancer, but she kept forgetting what it was called.

No matter, she knew what it looked like, so finding it wasn't too much of a hassle. Everything was ordered and labeled, but as usual, she ignored the label and continued with the IV. She didn't need to use the liquid from Ray, as the pole already had a bag full of fresh water, specifically for IV. This would hurt, but she cleaned the spot where the IV would be injected, and hit the vein, pushing the needle into it. It would bleed a little bit, but she wiped it off with a new packet and taped it over. Now there was a little tube sticking out, and this was where she screwed in the longer tube from the pole. She pressed a few buttons, and the pump would start.

"Look here, that man owes my boss money so I came to collect" he told them. Leo had stopped now and was standing in front of them. "He couldn't pay before hand so an example had to be made of him" Leo continued, he was still swinging his bat. "I do not think you should help someone like him" he told them, he took another step forwards. He hated when people interfered with his job, however sometimes it made it exciting.

He turned to face the man. "Well, I never did like sports so I'm going to say zero" he said with an evil grin.

"Well he could be dying!"

She didn't seem to fancy the idea of setting an example, and technically, she wasn't interfering as she was treating the man, not stopping him from hurting him. Plus, this wasn't something that would just naturally heal in the first place. She knew better than to be biased, but she did know there were some bad people down in the slums, like how there were bad people who were purists. It was clear that the blighted had been purists at one point, maybe, unless you could be born with it.

"You've already collect the debt, so why do you care anyways.?" She questioned, glancing at the pump. She could leave it there for a few hours, and leave afterwords. She could also stick a note to him giving him information about what happened, just so that he wouldn't panic as much.

@parkpyro

"You don't understand" he told her with a small sigh. "His payments were late, so whoever he owned the money to wanted people to know that late payments were not an option" he said, trying to explain the situation. This girl was clearly pure from the infection and innocent at heart. He was surprised that someone like here was in this kind of place.

He walked closer until he was face to face with the eye patched man. "Now, please move so I can treat that man properly" he told them, pointing his bat at the wounded man.

Ray was prepared... he was prepared to fight. Bluecorp does not leave its staff untrained. He knew hand to hand combat. What really worried him to the core was that bat. One hit to the head and he'll be out cold for days. He stared at the man, studying his every move. He had a high IQ and could come up with as many strategies as he could in little time when facing dire situations such as this one.

"As you can see, the man is already being treated. You can rest assured now." Ray was a bit taller than the henchman, so he looked down at him, folding his arms together.

Twitch. That's what Kleo had decided to name the cat. Twitch had left her side, Kleo hoped she would return. She had started to drift off, her eyelids felt heavy and Kleo slumped down leaning against the wall, exhaustion washing over her. Her ankle throbbed and so did her head.

A foul taste remained in her mouth due to the waste that lay in piles around her. Kleo longed for a good rinse, to feel clean again. Her hair lay in limp strands and her nails were encrusted with dirt. She kept the brick beside her just in case. Kleo also picked up a shard of broken, serrated glass. Hoping it might provide better defense than her brick.

She ignored the strong, sharp smell of disinfectant and alcohol which came from the makeshift hospital that the girl had set up. The boy with the metal bat seemed to be engaged in conversation with her and the other male. Curious. Kleo hoped they wouldn't start a fight.

Kleo shut her eyes and slept.

Leo looked up at the man. He showed no signs of backing down as he looked into the only visible eye of the guy in front of him. Leo wasn't great at reading people, but could tell that this man was prepared to fight. "Look, why don't you just care for some other sucker" he told them, giving them one last chance. "I'm a dept collector, so I need to collect this mans dept. Part of which is two broken and un-fixable legs" he said, his eyes shinning menacingly.

He looked over at the medical girl. "I'm sure you don't want to be infected, so why no run along now" he said with an innocent smile. Some times he felt like he needed to be paid extra to deal with people like these two.

"Every single person here is my friend. Whether i know them or not, i will always stand up for them... I think you should know better" He poked the man's infected area... his arms, over the bandages. "Don't you want to be cured, too?" Ray let out a sigh and reached his hand inside his back pocket. He pulled out a dried out wallet and opened it. "These are my last year's savings. Please take them and leave... you can just pretend you took the extra debt you're talking about and turn a blind eye to this." Ray gave the man a look of compassion, hoping that his words could reach him somehow. He did not wish to fight, for after all, his true enemy was Bluecorp, not the blighted.

She was still treating the wounded man, and she was actually prepared to fight if she really had to. She was experienced at fighting as well, but she didn't want to fight while in this condition. Though, she flinched at when the male talked about her getting infected, and she didn't seem to appreciate the warning. She didn't really care if she were infected, but she hated it when people thought of her as one of those stereotypical purists. "Still such thing as artificial legs, sir." She replied, smiling. She was angry, very angry, but she wasn't gonna show it. It would cloud her judgement.

"The professor will be upset.. But it's for a good reason..." She mumbled, continuing to treat the man. He seemed to be regaining consciousness, as the fluids were mixing and helping with his blood stream. 'Just a little more' She thought.

@parkpyro @Peter Crimsonblood

"Like he can afford artificial legs" he told her. She clearly hadn't looked at the man. Since he was in dept it was clear that he did not have enough money for that kind of thing, and in this world no one was going to hand out such luxuries. Unless they were a goody two shoes like this little girl.

Leo's attention turned to the other male in front of him. These two were either very stubborn of just stupid. When will they understand it wasn't really about the money anymore. "I don't want your money and there is no way you can heal a blighted person" he told them. He was getting annoyed now. He grabbed the man by the scruff of his neck and lifted him, with one hand, off the ground. Leo once again displayed his unnatural strength. He tossed him out the way, now nothing between him and the other man. But the pesky pure princess. "Move" he ordered. "I wasn't told to beat bystanders" he told her.

Ray looked down at the man as he lifted him up. What strength! He thought. It's true. The male displayed too much strength for his age, but Ray decided to take the hit. It was part of his plan to move out of the way like that. He fell to the ground, his back hitting a bunch of rocks that lay there near a dumpster.

A strong wave of pain buzzed through his entire back. His spine ached. He hugged his torso tightly, so as to stop the pain. He slowly stood to his feet, without making a sound. He picked up a palm-sized rock and aimed it at the man's head. Focus...focus. Ray pulled his arm back, then flung the rock forward toward the man.

"You really don't know what I can do..." The female muttered a little bit, getting up. Despite all the blood, she had no blood on her due to the suit she wore. When she has enough authority, she could send the blighted to hospitals and request a surgury for them. For now, she would have to make do with broken legs and such. "Sorry, Sir.." She looked down at the injured male, and she appeared to slowly be regaining conciousness. Also, she wasn't a goodie two shoes. God knows how many purisits she was close to killing.

She was careful, in case she would actually get attacked.

⌈ Blight ⌋ Pure.
⌈ Social stance ⌋ Unlearning purist habits, aspiring to be a sympathizer.

Her mother and father wouldn't approve of this type of behavior. After all, the things they taught her for so long, they went by it without the bat of an eye. As if society taught them how to act, or maybe, they took a promise to themselves to act the part but never be the part. Somehow, however, Kitty thought her parents acted so well, they truly became that part. A purist.
Kitty was a purist, in a purist family in a purist town. Lush and luxurious, only for the pure and no one else.

It was as if some sick guy who got off causing chaos and unrest decided to teach us all how we are supposed to act towards this situation, and it became the norm so much that if you didn't agree or uphold your act, you would be worse off than the ones affected by blight.

It was almost as if she was splashed with cold water, one day she realized that there were such a strong segregation in mankind, one she's be shielded to and coddled by ever since she was a young teenager. She didn't know what privilege she had. She didn't know what to do, she felt like the table have turned, as if she was the one who was oppressed. No. She had grown such a strong sense of entitlement, even when things didn't go her way, she threw a fit. So it was time to leave such a girl behind her.

And with her privilege, she'll use it to change the world.

Kitty has made this change so long ago, she couldn't grasp what exactly or how exactly did she manage to get so uncomfortably close to the blighted. She lost count of how many times she's been pushed away and even physically threatened. They didn't want her, nor they needed her. But they did, in some situations.

From being society's golden child, a vision of a perfect human and remnant of 'the good ole way they were', they would only listen to each other. And from this, they always thought what was best for the blighted should be decided by them.

Kitty strolled at the side of the city where her parents would have had a fit over her being in left alone near. For a while, this has become a place where she can't feel the safest in, but she believed in her abilities. She would be okay for the most part. A lot of her skills relied on playing the part anyways. She plays as a blighted female who has been infected on her most private parts of her body and isn't willing to show to strangers off the street. She may be a dancer, but let's respect that there's a time and place for everything gosh have some decency...

She was a tiny bit peckish and was on her way to find some food and whatnot, or either sneak back towards the pure side of town. Nah, she likes the food around here. Getting to know and watch as these people are just like the purists, just a lot of them have it harder than they do. Hearing movement and whatnot, her curious self couldn't help but to peek around the corner. A fight?

Leo only just avoided the rock coming towards him. He instinctively moved his head back, but not fast enough. It grazed his forehead, blood began to trickle down his face. He grinned fiercely, now he was having some fun. He jumped to the man, dashing towards him. The pose and stance he made made it clear to see he was no amateur when it came to combat. Leo swung his bat straight at the mans head, but stopped before it collided.

Out of the corner of his eye he had seen the new arrival. The ever growing crowd was going to cause a problem. It would be a hassle, and Leo was to lazy to deal with it. "Fine then" he said with a loud sigh. He lowered the bat to his side. "Your money, I'll take it" he told the man. "In return I won't kill you and the girl" He told him. Leo held out his bandaged up hand, expecting the money that was offered earlier.
