Scarlet spotted two stray children not far from them. "two more are here" she alerted softly the group. Scarlet noticed they were coming up on a big cloud and headed to it. this was a prefect cover for them. the scientist were probably starting to track them. they needed to disappear from sight fast.

She stopped playing around when Scarlet alerted them of the other two. She turned and flew to Ariel. "Hey. I'm thinking..Utah is very far from here. Most of you are first time flyers right? Maybe we should find a stop over of some kind. Besides, we need to change clothes and food." she suggested softly. She stared at her waiting for any reaction. She wasn't hoping she'll consider her suggestions. "It's just my opinion." she told.her before keeping her distance again.

Maddie landed first. She hadn't gotten use to flying so she was already very out of breath, leaning over with her hands on her knees. Jessica landed behind her, resting her hand on the little 10 year olds shoulder. Since she use to be pretty athletic she wasn't breaking a sweat. "Hang in there Maddie. We'll find a place for you to rest but right now we should get going." Jessica turns to look at Scarlet, the closest person to them. "Guards were hot on our trail only a couple or miles ago. Sorry it took us a whole Maddie.." She looks at Maddie, who had her arms wrapped around her chest seeming to have something moving under her shirt.

Maddie looks up at Scarlet with water in her eyes.
"I had to save her! They were gonna use her DNA." She cried sadly. Suddenly, the head of an elderly snow owl popes up. The owl happens to be the same breed they injected in to her so Jessica understood the connection. The old owl hooted, stirring in attempt to spread its wings.

Jessica sighed and looks at Maddie.
"Maddie, the poor thing can't fly what are we gonna even do with that thing?" The moment she let the word 'thing' escape her mouth Maddie glares at her which made Jessica flinch. She turns he head away, trying to smooth her long red hair.

"She has a name! I named her Alexa! Don't call her a thing, Jessi!!" Maddie shouted. Jessica sighed, her soft spot for Maddie caving in so she have up the argument. She turns over to Scarlet and shrugs. "Please alert the others. The guards had dogs it shouldn't take them long."

Cyra didn't like the looks that that Ariel was giving her and Lilith, she was getting tired already. Her head hurts, her throat hurts, her body hurts, everything hurts. She stared at the bracelet on her wrist and how it could end the freedom of those who escaped. Don't do that. Just stay away from them, let then escape, and try to remove it. When they come for you, the others will be far away. That's what the sane Cyra kept saying to... Herself. She noticed Lilith's discomfort due to the stare that Ariel apparently liked to give them.

"I agree with Lilith. We'll collapse from exhaustion if we do not make any kind of stop. And we should probably stay somewhere high, it's most likely that they'll be on foot, I don't think they have planes or helicopters. We have the advantage of the sky right now." Cyra kept her voice even, but concerned. She was frowning slightly, showing how much she worried.

Scarlet quickly helped jessica with maddie. helping them catch up with the others " they have dogs everyone" this time scarlet tried to talk louder . Scarlet knew this was bad. she reasoned that they probably have their scent and everything. a river came into view next to the woods on the out-skirts of town. "we need to wash off our scents now" she pointed out the river to everyone.

Maddie sighs and looks down at the old owl she named Alexa. She looked around, wondering what to do with the owl. It couldn't fly due to clipped wings so it wouldn't last long on it's own. She only needed a safe place for it.

Jessica nodded in agreement with Scarlet. She flew towards Maddie, looking to her. "Maddie, we can't keep her." She said gently so she won't upset Maddie. Maddie just sighs and looks down but kept clinging to the owl. She didn't want to upset Maddie so she didn't bring up the subject any more.

Jessica sighs an looks at Scarlet.
"Do you know where we are going? Maddie can't keep up much longer she'll get tired soon.." She looks at Maddie with obvious concern. She wanted to find a place to rest quickly. She looked ahead spotting Ariel. She felt as if se needed to did a way to thank her. She may have been a thief but she always repaid her debts.

Scarlet nodded " we are heading out of town. there is a river in the woods that we could stop and rest." she pointed to the river be love. " there might be a cabin if we look, but we need to get these dogs off our scent"

Ariel blinked for a second staring at Paris without a shirt. Guys were a whole new thing to her and she.. Kinda liked it. She shook her head. Focus Ariel. "yeah Utah is quite the flight so well take short breaks in between. She looked down at the river. "Good idea to wash off the scents." She tucked her wings in a bit and then dropped down. Gravity pulled at her and she held her sweat pants tightly between her fingers. She landed.. As gracefully as she could. Which was more like she fell and then tripped over her own feet. "gah! Stupid wings!" She said a bit frustrated. The scientists hadn't let her have much flight time because of well.. Her "spunky yet bitchy" attitude. She started to clean her arms before she striped off her shirt and dipped her whole head into the water. It felt fresh and clean as the dirt fell away. She looked up slightly confused

Kalia looked over as Ariel dove down towards the river and quickly tucked in her own wings and dove down with her. She dove straight into the water, executing a decent swan dive. Well as decent as she could with two wings protruding from her back. She came up and swiped her long, auburn hair back from her face, letting it hang all the way down her back between her wings. She tried getting her shirt off but it got stuck in her wings so after struggling a bit, she just ripped it, muttering something that rhymed with "ducking sitty duck" and threw it down river leaving her standing in just underwear. She sighed and wrapped her wings around her while she washed herself. She was fit and lean and had nothing to be ashamed of but she was still self conscious after what the scientists had done to her. She had been stripped of her clothes all the time while they just stared and she was particularly aware that everyone here could see her now too. She glanced around and walked a little bit aways from them so maybe they wouldn't see and uncurled her wings, continuing to douse herself with water to get off her scent.

Paris followed Ariel's descision and landed gracefully on the ground. He looked over at the two girls getting into the water, when their shirts came off. "Wow. I suppose everyone might as well go shirtless then. Although, I certainly do enjoy what I am seeing." Paris stared directly at the girls as they bathed for a good while before he decided to just jump on in. He swam out to where they were in the river. "Ladies." He said smiling at them.

Jessica and Maddie followed we, folding in there wings. Jessica managed to have some flight, which was when she had her tantrums and tried flying away. She landed, skidding slightly but keeping her balance. Maddie stumbled slightly but managed.

She and Jessi walked a ways away from Ariel. Like always, Maddie clung to Jessica with her free hand, her gaze avoiding any of the other children. Jessica kept her head high and alert ready to protect her young companion. Maddie refused to remove her dress fearing the bird would escape if she did.

Jessica removes her shirt with a slight struggle since the darned thing was so small. She threw it aside and stepped into the river. She has quite a few scars scattered across her chest and back from both experiments and punishments but other then those flaws she was quite muscular from manual labor and lean.

Jessica kept a her wings stretches upwards best she could fearing that if they were wet they wouldn't fly. Maddie stepped into the water holding the elderly owl above her head. Jessica move to Maddie, splashing water on her face, arms and chest to clean her. Jessica dunked her head underwater her red hair spreading out through the water as if it were blood. She raised her head, the hair covering her face and she sighs hating how long it was. She wanted it short.

But the hair cutting will have to wait. She pushes her hair back, the red hair falling between her shoulders and wings, clinging to her back and waist. Cupping water, she dumps some on Maddie to clean her off smiling down at her. Maddie smiles brightly, her white porcelain and blemish or scar free skin shining brightly.

Scarlet followed suit. she wanted to ensure that she would never go back. she landed next to the calm river. the river did not seem too big. remembering what father father gave her, she was careful not to get it wet. the case turned out to be a small clutch purse. it was the same purse she had helped pick out with her father for mothers day one year. Scarlet couldn't believe that her parents still had it. the journal fit right into it. she noticed other stuff at the bottom of the purse. she didn't bother to look at the moment. Scarlet needed to get in the water. alternating the purse in each hand she waded into the river. the water only went up to her waist. she dress was soaked, hugging the curves she never noticed she had. Embarrassed, Scarlet covered her chest with her arms so no one could see what she was struggling to understand herself; her blooming body.

Kalia looked at Paris with wide eyes, afraid he might make fun of her or hurt her somehow but he didn't look like he was going to. She quickly recovered and kept bathing herself. She slowly became more comfortable with herself and the others and a smile crept onto her face. She looked and Jessica and Maddie who were both a little farther away and then at Scarlet who had just come into the river and finally at Ariel and Paris who were standing next to her. Her grin turned mischievous as she slowly sank down a little so her wings were halfway under the water and then suddenly jumped up and spread her wings towards her friends, dousing them with buckets of water from her wings. She laughed and looked at them while still splashing them with her wing tips.

She watched as others dove into the river and followed suit. "Come on." she said tugging Cyra. She folded her wings and dove headfirst. A few meters above the water before they crash, she opened her wings and it acted like a parachute. She landed in a bit more secluded part since she doesn't like the scars she earned from the tortures. Taking off her clothes, she dipped into the water with her wings opened to avoid wetting them. She'll just sprinkle them later. She watched the others wash themselves with a bit of envy.

The splash of water came as a surprise to Paris, drenching his face and hair. His soaking hair became limp and in his face covering the majority of his eyes making it hard for him to see. "Well, well, well. I see how it is." Paris let out a laugh before diving under the water. He quickly made his way under Kalia's legs lifting her into the air and out of the water on his shoulders. "Hold on tight. It'd be a shame if you fell and got all wet." He looked up at her with a devious smile.

Cyra landed on the ground, near Lillith, before distancing herself. She stared at the water, seeing her reflection for the first time after months. She was wreck. She stripped from the old and torn dress that she was wearing and put her feet in the water. Suddenly, the bracelet came to her mind, it certainly wouldn't malfunction when in contact with the water, right? Slowly, she dipped her arm with the object, releasing a breath that she didn't know she had been holding. Nothing. Cyra put her whole body in the water, before putting the wings as well. She picked up her dress and washed it as well, it was dirty and her scent was all over it. She stared at the woods, maybe she should push the button. They were all a lot more relaxed and the building wasn't too far. The scientists would get here in less than an hour if she pushed it right now. Her finger was already on the button when she saw Kalia splashing water on her friends. That made her finger freeze, as well as her heart.

Stop mom! Don't so that! It's wet! A wave of nostalgia ran through her body. Suddenly she didn't seem like a machine anymore. Slowly, she removed her finger from the little button. Her eyes were filled with guilt, before being replaced by the usual numbness. She stayed far away from the others, watching them. For some reason, she couldn't bring herself to push the button. She didn't know why. But she just couldn't.

Maddie laughs as she watched them get splashes and Jessica simply ignored it. She was more concerned about protecting Maddie then playing. Though a part of her did envy how the others didn't always have someone to worry over. Jessica was glad o have Maddie but she also wished she was older and braver so Jessica wouldn't worry and fear over her constantly.

Maddie hurried out the water. Maddie, of course, had no curves. Not that she noticed. She stuffs the bird between her dress and her shirt once again, clinging to Alexa. She looks up at Jessica, who kept dowsing herself in water wanting to get her scent off as best as she can. Maddie sat down, watching the owl as it hooted and squirmed.

Jessica sighs, running her fingers through her hair pressing it flat against her head. She turns her back to the other, her outstretched black wings fluttering a little to dry off what water droplets they had on them. Her back was much more scared then her front, not that she cared. But the scars were much older. Ones she had gotten back when she was in the orphanage from starting fights with the older kids. Her white eyes move around the surrounding, watching carefully for any dogs.

Lilith saw Cyra getting into the river. She observed her and noticed she's been fidgeting with the bracelet. She waited what she'll do next. Her eyes caught the sight of the others playing with the water. She waded towards Cyra before leaning in. "Makes one a bit lonely to see those kids having fun and seemingly forgetting us. Nostalgic, isn't it?" she whispered to her. She tried to put some emotion on her voice but failed. "I'll wash your back and hair." she suggested as she gently tugged her to a nice spot.

Scarlet shielded herself with her wings from all the splashing that was happening. Everyone seem to be having fun. She slowly walked to a rock on the side on the river and sat down. now she had wished she would have taken her clothes off before hand. Scarlet was freezing her butt off. she did not want everyone to see her body naked. she had no experience with the opposite sex, or even with her own gender. Scarlet was starting to freak out.

Kalia shrieked as Paris came under her and lifted her out of the water. "PARIS! I swear to god if you don't let me down from here..." She tried to say it with conviction, but the truth was, this was the most fun she had had in over a decade. She halfheartedly smacked him on the head and wiggled herself on his shoulders all while laughing harder than she might have ever laughed in a long time. She wasn't self conscious at all that she was sitting atop a boy with nothing but a bra and underwear on and it was one of the most liberating things she had experienced. She folded her body over Paris so her face was in front of his and her ribs and chest were on his bright red head and looked at him upside down. "You better put me down right now or you'll be so sorry!" She smirked while trying to give him a stern look.
