Cyra landed on the ground, near Lillith, before distancing herself. She stared at the water, seeing her reflection for the first time after months. She was wreck. She stripped from the old and torn dress that she was wearing and put her feet in the water. Suddenly, the bracelet came to her mind, it certainly wouldn't malfunction when in contact with the water, right? Slowly, she dipped her arm with the object, releasing a breath that she didn't know she had been holding. Nothing. Cyra put her whole body in the water, before putting the wings as well. She picked up her dress and washed it as well, it was dirty and her scent was all over it. She stared at the woods, maybe she should push the button. They were all a lot more relaxed and the building wasn't too far. The scientists would get here in less than an hour if she pushed it right now. Her finger was already on the button when she saw Kalia splashing water on her friends. That made her finger freeze, as well as her heart.
Stop mom! Don't so that! It's wet! A wave of nostalgia ran through her body. Suddenly she didn't seem like a machine anymore. Slowly, she removed her finger from the little button. Her eyes were filled with guilt, before being replaced by the usual numbness. She stayed far away from the others, watching them. For some reason, she couldn't bring herself to push the button. She didn't know why. But she just couldn't.
