Starlight City. That's it. Not Starlight Kingdom. That one is for the history books. Located on an island roughly twice the size of the combined mass of the Hawaiian islands at a halfway point between the east coast of the USA and the UK.

In ancient times, it was called Atlantis. Now, it's got other nicknames. Not all of them are repeatable in polite company. You see, reality itself is just a little... damaged around this island, and portals directly to places people call Heaven and Hell both for lack of a better word, and, well, the things who come through those portals call them that too.

That's not the only pair of portals you'll find in Starlight City. The main civic center plaza has a huge one. But, you really never know where that one is going to go, or who or what is going to come out of it. Why base your city around such a random thing? Would you rather the strange visitors from other realities show up on the outskirts of town, where if they have ill intent they have plenty of time to hatch their nefarious plans? See, I knew you'd get it.

And that was great, sort of, for awhile. Then, well, portals just started showing up all over. People appearing, disappearing, and so on. Reality just was blindfolded and handed a big handful of darts. If you get hit by one, you might get superhuman powers. You might... well disappear. The thing is, a lot of people are really tempted to take that chance. Plus, rumor has it that there's other things out there, enhancers if you will, that can amp you up as surely as that random bolt from heaven, hell, or wherever, can.

Even if you're not interested in becoming more than human, it's pretty much the best place in the world to get fame and notoriety, so there is that. Or, you might have just been born here and this crazy is the normal you know.

Starlight City is a easy to find city. It is a world where heroes, villains and supernatural creatures live. It borders the world of fiction and fanfiction. Come to the city, we have a school, some great attractions and have a good time! Just know that death could lurk around any corner. - Taken from a tourist who left.... It's all lies.

Locations

Starlight Academy- The school Academy where students can enroll and take classes from daycare all the way up to and through college. This will consist of the dorms, the connecting bridge between dorms, classrooms, houses for the teachers and the school's boiler room and adminstration office and medical wing

Police Station- This consists of the station and the meta-human task force for the city and includes the jail.

Starlight Graveyard- This is the graveyard where there is a certain god who you can make deals with to bring your loved ones back from the dead or visit the dead.

Glistening Lake/Rainbow Forest- It is a rainbow lake and it shows you your favorite colors at certain times of day. The lake can give you powers if it deems that you are worthy. There's a guardian sprite of the lake. The forest is the area that surrounds the lake and holds the cities worst creatures

Downtown Starlight City-- This consists of the park, plaza, town hall, hospital, the hotel, orphanage, harbor, bar, resturant/ brothel, apartments and Superior Genetic Modification Industries.

Mirroredge Pantheon- This is where the gods of the city reside.

Starlight Crevice- This is where the ruins of church are. The portals to Heaven and Hell are also located there.

Shining Stars- The fancy hotel where most events are held.

The portal- This is where people from other worlds can stumble into here. (limited to 4 per person)

Misery is 5'5" and weighs 140 lbs. She also has burn scars on her fingertips from using her pyrokinesis. She usually wears jeans, white sneakers, fuzzy patterned socks, and long sleeved shirts, plus a light blue hoodie. Hard to see in the picture, but her eyes are green.

Personality: Misery is has a lot of spunk, usually being rude to kids around her age and younger. No, she doesn't go around shoving little kids off of swing sets, but she is outspoken and can get a little bad tempered if someone is bullying her. Most tend to stay away from her due to her powers, but she's a rather social individual, or at least wants to be one. She generally is when her adoptive parents go to parties, not caring if she's mingling with adults or others her age. She's more interested in older teenagers to talk with, especially when it comes to having tiny crushes, nothing major, really!

Weakness(ONE FOR EACH ABILITY/POWER): She can burn herself badly if she uses her fire powers, her fingertips and a good portion of her hands have lost feeling due to the constant burns she's used to. She can only lift small objects with her telekinesis and it usually tires her out if she uses it for about 30 minutes. She could read people's minds, but she restricts herself to asking permission first or use it only when necessary, like if some creep is following her. Won't ever use her powers when mad, at least, she tries her best to refrain from practicing or using it out in public.

Species : Meta-human

Powers: Pyrokinesis, telekinesis, able to read people's minds

Abilities/ skills: Able to ride a bike, punctual with everything, has some knowledge of street smarts

Misery is just a kid that got taken away from her real parents at a young age. Truth be told, they were absolutely terrible with both of them relying on some things they shouldn't be. She's moved from foster home to foster home, usually not staying long once the people discover her powers. The last stop for her was an orphanage, where she tried her best to mingle with other kids. She was eventually adopted by Maia and Charles Jones, two loving adoptive parents that she found were the perfect ones for her. She took their last name and has been living with them ever since, sort of mellowing out from when she was younger.

Family: Maia Jones (Adoptive mother), Charles Jones (Adoptive father)

Extra: Misery loves company- *shot* Truthfully, she doesn't mind going to parties her adoptive parents often go to and mingling with other people.
Used to set people's hair on fire when she was younger and was particularly hateful to someone. She's grown out of it now.

Amaryllis has freckles on her face and a crooked smile for when she does smile. She's 5'0" and weighs 110lbs, having a slim and petite figure. She generally wears all white clothes, from her slip on shoes, to her slacks, and to her turtleneck.

Personality: Amaryllis is a very quiet, soft spoken individual and tends to think before she acts, though the quietness makes it seem like she's standoffish to others. She speaks up when answering a question or when prompted, but other than that her being aloof seems to be a little rude. She's very kind to people she trusts and, like any angel from where she's from, tries her best to help the world by doing good deeds, though she's too young to do anything at the moment.

Weakness(ONE FOR EACH ABILITY/POWER): She's afraid of thunderstorms and any sort of electricity that makes itself know, lightning powers usually doing it. He usually can't pinpoint where exactly she's feeling the not normal thing, she just feels the feeling and it will nag at her until she's far away from it, like three city blocks. Also, he'll be grounded if something does attack his wings.

Amaryllis was born to Aleta and Berkin Noura, somewhere where only angels exist. Her father died before she was born and Aleta was…less than happy about some things from her, able to sense something off with the child the minute she was born. Because she was unfit to care for her child, Melchior Noura came and took his granddaughter under his wing, both literally and figuratively.

She adored her grandfather, who treated her much, much better than her mother ever could. Unbeknownst to her, her mother's side of the family had the ability to sense if something was wrong or off. When the magic appeared in him when he was just starting 1st​ grade, it nearly drove him mad. Thankfully, she had her grandfather to help and she slowly adjusted.

She was around 12 when her grandfather was getting messages from his daughter, Aleta demanding to give the child back to her so she could properly raise the girl. Fearing for her safety, they moved to Starlight City to get away from her. Amaryllis has been here for about a year now and is just starting 7th​ grade.

He will often tell you if he hates you and his reasoning for it too. He also can be heavily flirty when anyone who interest him as he is a die heart romantic. Known to use sarcasm as a defense, he is often shown using it to avoid his own pain of his past. Despite seeming happy, he harbors a darker side to himself. When angered, he is known to be violent and prone to be very aggressive with others. Simiarliy, he is very easily to be manipulate to get on your side.

Personality: Ryan has a kind and caring personality. He wishes to be friend switch most people and cares about their safety and well-being. Ryan also now has an aggressive side if he is angered. He can become quite lethal
Weakness(ONE FOR EACH ABILITY/POWER): Silver, if a vision is too powerful, it can knock him unconcious. He also can be drained if he gets tired. His agressive side makes him more likely to put himself into danger and towards his weakness. He also can't use his telekinteic powers mentally, so if his mouth is cover or duct-taped it is useless. He also is weak to fire.
Species : Psychic Werewolf
Powers: He has visions where he can hear the future, but can't see them. He however can dream full visions of the future( That are not easily remembered)He also can turn into a brownish black wolf with blueish gray eyes who stands at about six to seven feet long. He can also communicate with humans in his wolf form. He also has telekinteic powers that are also defective, as they only work if he says the objects name.
Abilities/ skills:He has extreme durability and reflexes.
History:Ryan's mother was a psychic ( Which is where he got his psychic powers from while his father was a werewolf. He was born to them on one day. When he was four while he was saving someone's life he was knocked unconcious and lost his ability to see the future, but he can still hear it.

Extra: Ryan has a small blue pet dragon that can grow and change it size and control water named Aquaslasher. He had a dark half which fused back with him. He is now bi-sexual. He was born on July 19th.

Personality: Feival is generally a carefree individual that is more than willing to show off his skills with skateboarding if someone asks. Only if someone asks though. He's blunt, brash, and brave, the three Bs that characterize him the most. He will say what's on his mind if he's uncomfortable with the subject, and some other things that he feels his opinions need to be known. He can face danger no problem, using whatever skills he has to make it through somehow. When it comes to having fun, though, he'll rush headlong into it. No super bad stuff, though, he rather not go anywhere near them.

Weakness(ONE FOR EACH ABILITY/POWER): He's fairly normal and without powers, leaving him vulnerable to those with powers.

History: This field is semi-required. If you prefer to reveal your character's past over time/ don't have anything in mind, you can put unknown or classified. The world Feival comes from is a world where half human and half animals beings are treated as the destitute at best, slaves at worst. Feival, unfortunately, fell on the slave spectrum. He doesn't really recall his true mother and father, but there were several parental figures that tried to shield him from the worst of it as he moved from house to house, sold like a piece of property. He tried his best to remain attached to them, but the fact that he moved often severed those attachments.

The last place he was sent to was a very unsavory place, where the half human half animals had to satisfy the needs and sadistic urges of the people. Honestly, he wasn't ready for the horrors and nobody was there to shield him this time. So before anything could be done to him, he ran. He ran as far away as possible from that place, pursued by slave catchers all the while. He found a strange thing at the edge of one of the cities he sought sanctuary from and rushed inside, where he discovered a world that was unlike his own.

He's been in Starlight City for a while now, though he lost track of time. Thankfully, he was taught how to read and write, so he could apply himself for school. Unfortunately for him, he had to be at the level where he didn't know much, 9th​ grade. He was fine with that, wanting to mingle with others, but he'll definitely struggle with school as time went on.

Extra: Feival hates pictures being taken of him.
Occasionally he'll leave his mark on a place with graffiti if it seems like a good place to crash.
The cat side of him as the reflexes, the hearing, and the purring bits.
