Citlali
The young Taurian had woken to the tap of Boo's long finger on his door, but he hadn't left his room immediately. His small fingers were deftly tapping away on the small screen on his right forearm, recording and saving the data from the previous day. Citlali, as the little one was named, had only come to the orphanage a few days ago and this was the first time he'd gotten the morning summons for daybreak meal. He had to record that before leaving the room he had been allotted. The alien, as the others would perceive him, made his way out of his room already fully dressed and hair messy. To him, everyone else was was an alien and since he hadn't met the majority of their species, he'd have to be careful. Citlali had already found an attachment with one of the residents at this child-house, an older one named Atlas. Atlas had long, soft ears and none of the oddities that some of the others had. In fact, it seemed that half the population here had something strange about them and it was something he didn't like. It was almost as if they were different in a way he had yet to become aware yet. Citlali didn't find his friend at daybreak meal, but he did find that the food was actually quite good. He had stubbornly refused to try it the first two days, but eventually hunger and curiosity had gotten the better of him. The alien had kept his head down as it seemed that the other children his size didn't eat quite as much as he did. Once he had gotten his fill, he left the food room and began to wander about the building in search of Atlas. Citlali didn't think that Atlas thought he was weird and he didn't think that Atlas was weird either. Mutual non-weirdness was his basis for being fond of the rabbit eared one. He walked for what felt like forever before doubling back and walking outside. The alien had noticed Boo watching him, but it didn't bother him at all. Boo was his "pet" and such stares were normal with this creature. Citlali looked around outside and before he found Atlas, he found some kind of small buzzing insect flitting around. It had black and yellow stripes that were rather striking and seemed to be fond of flowers. He stared at it with bright green eyes, following the small creature as it made its way farther from the building and closer to the border. The alien jabbered at the creature in his native language, asking it if it knew where Atlas was. Probably not, since it was so busy, but he would still interrogate the insect.
"Wo sha'ram a da Atlas asumade?" Citlali asked the creature, speaking loudly and putting it off.
That didn't stop him! He was determined to find his friend and he'd chase the buzzing yellow and black stripe until it answered him! The alien continued on in this manner, getting increasingly frustrated with the insect and unwittingly closer to a group of others.
