"The Grand Finale"

Before Giga Bowser even had a chance to attack again, he found lightning bolts being directed towards his eyes! Of course, with lightning being inherintly blinding, this temporarily blinded Giga Bowser.

"AH!!! You little..." Giga Bowser shouted as he stumbled back and rubbed his eyes, only to be shot in the mouth by Yamashiro and her guns mere seconds later.

What the players didn't know is that Giga Bowser was using their own powers to make himself stronger and more durable. So, with his thrown being completely destroyed, the Koopa King was basically like a sitting duck at this point.

Eventually, Giga Bowser turned around and allowed the bullets to hit his shell, where they just bounced off of it like they were spitballs.

"Fergot I had this thing didn't ya, chumps?" Giga Bowser said with a chuckle, only to be interrupted by several hits to various parts around his body, with the final punch to his face sending him crashing to the ground, the Koopa King landing on his back.

Giga Bowser let out a groan before eventually spitting out a tooth that was knocked out by Gon. Before he could fully recover, however, he found himself being pinned down by a ton of ice shards thanks to Yusuke. The ice shards pinned him down the Koopa King by his arms, legs, and tail.

This was only followed up by the powerful diagonal slash from Yato, who managed to cut Giga Bowser's torso with the Sekki, earning another loud groan from him. All these attacks were enough to return Bowser to his normal form, and he fell to his knee, gasping for breath.

Bowser may have been defeated by the group, but he had one last trick up his sleeve! Smirking, Bowser punched a specific spot on the wall behind him, said spot glowing white and beeping.

Just like before with Bowser Jr, a panel opened up below him and Bowser dropped in. After a few moments, the Koopa King emerged in his own clown car and began to fly away at a surprising amount of speed.

"GAR HAR HAR HAR HAR!! See ya, losers!" Bowser laughed as he tried to fly out of the hole in the top of the volcano.

"Fuck! No way are we lettin' him go after all that!"

"Leave it to me!" With his powers back, Axl was free to use an attack that he'd been wanting to use since the start. Jumping up into the air, he connected a slash against Bowser, which was just what he needed to do.

"Time to end this!" Chains would wrap around Bowser, trapping the Koopa King head to toe. A spark started to make its way down one of the chains, towards the beast.

"Amphora Conflagration!!"

BOOM! A fiery explosion rocked the throne room, surrounding the group with a bright energy light. It only lasted a few seconds, however, and once the smoke cleared, Bowser lay defeated at their feet, unable to do any more harm while tied up in chains. Axl dusted his hands off, a cocky grin on his face. "Man, this woulda been so much easier if I could pull that move off from the start. At least I got to use it, though!"

Bowser, however, was beyond pissed, glaring up at the group with a snarl from his spot on the ground.

"Grrr… I'm gonna get outta these friggin chains eventually. And when I do, all of you losers 're gonna regret it! Ya hear me?! ALL'A YO--"

SMACK!

Bowser's threat would be cut short by a sudden kick to the face from none other than Luigi himself, the kick managing to knock the Koopa King out cold.

"That's-a what you get, you stupid Koopa!" Luigi said proudly.

I-No smiled at the group, a genuine, kind smile. "Thank you, everyone, from the bottom of my heart. Without you all, this never would have been possible."

Jersey had changed back into his human form. His usual smug smirk was on his face, but you could tell it was the closest he could get to expressing joy. "Yeah. Thanks. You kids ain't half bad. Glad to know I-No didn't fuck up by pickin' you-fuck!"

I-No gave Jersey a sharp jab in his wounded stomach with her elbow. "Says the guy who let himself get impaled by a giant turtle. Anywho, we need to get going. More crooks like him are out there, and this scheme took up enough of our time as it is. Good luck, everyone!"

"W-Wait, aren't you going to-" Before Yumeko could finish, I-No played one last song on her guitar. The world around you began to change, and the sweltering heat of a volcano became the sweltering heat of Delfino Plaza.

I-No and Jersey wouldn't be with you, but Axl and Ririka were.

"…ngh…" Ririka sat up groggily, Axl quickly rushing to her side to steady her. "Did we…did we do it?"

"We most certainly did, love!" Axl grinned. "That bloody turtle ain't messin' with anyone no more!"

"I-It's them!" A large group of Piantas were gathered around them all, not nearly as jubilant as they were before. One stepped forward hesitatingly. "Um…Captain Jack and Dr. Krieger told us everything. When Bowser approached us about the reality show…we had no idea his plan was so evil!"

"We should never have allowed this! Who even decided that death games were okay? Think of the children!"

"I bet it was Paul!"

"Darn it, Paul!"

"Please, everyone, stay calm for now! There is much to do!" From the crowd emerged a Pianta, who addressed the group.

"Hello, everyone. I am the Mayor of Pianta Village-and, by extension, Isle Delfino itself. I would like to express my deepest apologies for what you all went through these past few days-even if you were all bounty hunters, the way we conducted ourselves without knowing the whole story was utterly apprehensible! We understand if you can never forgive us, but we would love to prove to you all that our people and this island is truly a wonderful, peaceful place! Therefore, we would love to offer you all a two week, all-expenses paid vacation here on our island as compensation, with free food and free accommodations in Hotel Delfino-with a bonus of a spending allowance for souvenirs! Or, if you prefer, you can head back home. Captain Jack was able to contact the people who have been looking for Bowser, and they're offering to give you a ride home, too!"

"Ah! Does that mean we can go to the casino in the hotel too?"

"Absolutely!"

"How wonderful! I think I may stay for that vacation after all. Maybe I can pay off my debt to the school and not need my nametag, after all. How about you, Mary?"

"Huh? No way! I've had enough Sun to last me awhile. I'm going back home to take over the student council. With everyone in jail now, it shouldn't be a problem!"

"Oh…speaking of." Ririka turned to Axl. "Mister Low…I would like to go to jail too, please."

"Uh…you sure? We gave you a second chance, an' all…"

Ririka nodded. "Yes. I need to atone for what I've done, more than just helping stop a fight." Turning to the group, Ririka smiled. "Thank you, everyone, for being so nice to me. I'll never forget you."

"Yeah… I should probably get-a going too. Knowing Peach, she probably baked a cake! And-a I can't wait to tell Mario about this! I defeated Bowser!" Luigi then looked to the rest of the group and chuckled nervously as he scratched the back of his neck. "Sorry… we defeated Bowser."

With all that said and done, it looks like you have some time to mingle before your ride gets here! You can talk with your friends, choose whether or not to enjoy that vacation or go home, and above all, rest easy in the knowledge that you brought an end…to the trouble in paradise.

Ernesti picks and gathers the pieces of Ikaruga into a pile, right next to its heart, or blackbox, or whatever you might wish to call it.

Just then, the mayor arrived to offer them a deal.

"Oh~ does 'all-expenses paid' cover repairs?" Ernesti asks the Mayor gleefully as he displays the badly-scrapped Ikaruga.

Luigi only smiled and nodded as Alesha spoke, growing more and more relieved as the khan spoke. Honestly, he hasn't expected her to be this nice towards him. And could you really blame him, after all they'd been through today? Though, it was a nice surprise nonetheless.

Though, nothing could have prepared him for what came next.

Before Luigi could even fully process what was happening, he was not only pulled into a hug by Alesha, but kissed on the cheek as well! Was this a bad thing? Quite the contrary. It was more than welcomed in Luigi's book, though the plumber didn't know how to react from this (mainly because he didn't receive kisses from any girl that often). So he simply stood silently and blushed profusely, clearly flushed from the whole experience.

"U-uhm..." Luigi said as he tried to find the correct words to say, though only various stutters and "uhhs" came out. "S-so what do you guys plan on-a doing when you get home?" Luigi finally managed to sputter out, genuinely interested in what Alesha's and Yusuke's plans were.

It was also a nice way to shift topics as well.

Once the battle had ended, Yusuke pulled up his mask and took a deep breath. Like the others, he felt very relieved they had accomplished ending the trouble in paradise. After all he had been through, he originally might have wanted to return home right away. There was one thing holding him back from wanting to leave, however, and that was the new friends he had made during this journey. He turned to Alesha first thing after they had freedom to speak with their friends, not hesitating when he would answer her question.

"I only intend to stay if you do. If it is alright with you, I very much would enjoy having another chance to paint you," he replied, a glimmer appearing in his eyes. "Without the restrictions of being on an airplane or the stress of a death game looming over our shoulders, perhaps I will find new inspiration born within my heart." Maybe he could even get Alesha to try out some different poses for him. Possibilities were endless now! ;)

After answering her, it was then that Luigi came over to them. Unsure how to reply to him at first, Yusuke watched his exchange with Alesha first--standing there a bit awkwardly when she gave him a kiss on the cheek. He cleared his throat and spoke afterwards. "I've encountered far more abhorrent individuals than yourself. Consider your sins forgiven by me. While there are other people in my life whom I'm not ready to forgive just yet, I wish you to know that you are not one of them."

He took a glance at Luigi's photo of Mario, tilting his head thoughtfully. "I don't have a brother. In fact, I have no family. It's just me." Not wanting anyone to feel sorry for him after making this comment, Yusuke quickly added, "...but I do have friends and I have my art. My life is full of joy. I hope yours is as well."

Oblivious as always, Yusuke failed to notice Luigi's attempt at changing the subject. "You're not interested in romantic relationships at all, Alesha? Romance and passion are things of beauty!" he exclaimed, eyes shimmering. "Lovers locked in a tender embrace, eyes glowing with love... the grandeur of such a sight makes for a lovely painting--to be treasured by one and all!"

"Oh, what am I doing when I get home?" he said, finally realizing Luigi had asked a question. "I shall... paint, I suppose. It's what I do most of the time."

"Hmph, then perhaps I shall stay for the term they offered," Alesha replied with a smirk, a soft chuckle escaping her as the young man cooed about the possibility of painting her once again. His excited proclamation of what romance and passionate entanglement were earned a cocked brow from the young khan. Were all artists as eccentric as he in this subject? "Not really. My unique circumstances make such a thing difficult to maintain," She explained with a shrug, "Besides my imposing position among the horde, neither man or woman quite knows how to approach me, and to be honest... nor do I know how to approach either sex. It simply has not been a topic I've found myself interested in."

"As for me, Luigi? Most likely reassert my authority over the hoard - they tend to go a bit wild without a leader to lead them, and if they have already named one, then I will have to take my position back."​

He seemed not to care about what the two week trip itself would offer to them, but instead was more excited about painting... and spending time with his friends even if he wouldn't outright admit it.

"I fail to see how it would be a problem for an individual with a soul as sublime as your own, but I can understand the way you feel." Sure, Yusuke was focused on outer beauty and appearances a lot of the time, but when he grew to know someone he just as much enjoyed looking upon the inner beauty of their hearts. It was over, it was finally over.

Apparently Bowser's throne, simultaneously while suppressing everyone's powers, had somehow been bolstering his own. Thus, when it was destroyed, so was his chances of coming out as the victor, against the increasingly unfavorable odds, for him anyways.

In the end, despite Bowser's multiple attempts to flee, he was eventually incapacitated, sparking a hearty laugh from Ami as she looked over his collapsed form.

"So much for that boss thing, huh?" She taunted.

Though, she didn't exactly expect much of a response from the now unconscious overgrown turtle... Er... Thing, she (fortunately) did not have enough time to really find out, as I-No transported them back to Delfino Plaza. Evidently the Piantias, who she had been suspicious of weren't aware of the full extent of Bowser's plans, and figuring she didn't want to make any unneccessary enemies, she seemed to accept their apology just fine.

"Ah! Well... That big turtle was a jerk anyways. Thanks for letting us beat him up!" She said, eerily cheerfully.

Despite her seemingly innocent exterior she was putting on now though, she was going through the options she had in her head; either she could head home... And return to being miserable between those vending machines, or she could stick around for a couple of weeks, take her mind off of her current situation back in her home world before she returned.

Hmm, well... She could use a vacation nonetheless, and since it was completely free, she didn't see why not.

However, there was one last little thing she figured she'd settle before she went out on her own, and that was with Maria. Heading over to the enigmatic little girl, who apparently possessed alot more powers than she had first thought, looking at her with a degree of caution before she spoke.

"You uh... Left something." She said carefully, holding out a handfull of candies.

Specifically the ones Maria had created in her magic show. Sure there were a few (well, perhaps more than a few) missing, and they were a little, er... Warm in places (thanks Fawfull), but they seemed relatively intact.

Was this a gesture of kindness? Or just some weird form of apology, hard to tell.​

"Phew. Guess all that's finally over," Gon said as he walked over to the Doctor and Hina, speaking nonchalantly as though the bruises and burns on his body were nothing special. In essence, they truly were nothing new to the boy. Such superficial wounds ceased to matter to him after he'd taken so much abuse over the past year, especially after he'd went through the sensation of having his entire forearm blown off in the past.

With a breath, he placed his battered hands on his hips, before proceeding. "What are you two gonna do? I dunno if I'll be sticking around; I could definitely use some rest, but two weeks seems like a bit much, on top of how long I've already been gone, so I'll probably have to go! Who knows that my friends are thinking?" He exclaimed, touching on the prospect of finally having to leave Isle Delfino, and by extension, the friends he'd made along the little misadventure he found himself wrapped into.

Shantae had also made her way over to Maria after their little fight with Bowser, the Koopa King. She had since turned back into her usual, half-genie self. Because honestly, who would want to stay as an elephant longer than they had to be.

"You did a good job back there!" Shantae said to the young girl with a genuine smile. "I didn't know that you could do stuff like that. If it wasn't for you making that barrier, I think that we'd all be nothing but toast right about now." Shantae said with a chuckle, offering a nod to Ami as she made her way over to the group. She didn't know her that well, but Ami did help back in the fight with Fawful, not to mention her contributions to the beast that they fought mere minutes ago, so she was okay in her book.

When the blue haired girl handed Maria candy, Shantae looked between the two of them before speaking again. "So... are you guys gonna stay for the vacation that they offered us?" Shantae inquired, pondering if she would stay or not. If Maria wanted to stay a little longer, then Shantae figured that an extra two weeks away from Scuttle Town wouldn't hurt. Having Ami around for the company would be nice as well.

After realizing that he didn't give Yusuke anything to remember him by but he gave Alesha one, Luigi felt like a jerk. So after fumbling around for a few moments, Luigi finally decided to give Yusuke the only thing he could think of....

His hat.

"Here. I want you to-a have this so you can remember me by when I'm a gone." Luigi said, chuckling as he placed his hat on Yusuke's head. "Oh, and don't-a worry." The younger Mario brother said as he held up a finger before digging into his overalls and pulling out a spare hat and placing it on his own head.

"I always keep a spare!"

Tying on her bandanna, donning her bicorne, holstering her pistol, sheathing her sword, and delighting in the sound of her monies jingling in her hand while she shook them, the piratess appeared content for the moment. "I don't know whether I should feel proud to have figured this all out after my fit of amnesia..." Risky subsequently breathed an exhausted huff, and slouched in her stance, "or dissappointed in myself for allowing you to rope me into this mess in the first place," she groaned, addressing Shantae with her eyebrows practically digging into the bridge of her nose, "And now you want to stay here, on this backwater island of backwards buffoons, for two whole weeks?!"

Like Ernesti, Yamashiro also had a need for repairs, as well as medical attention for her companion, her Zuiun pilot. In the moments following the end of the battle with Giga Bowser, she looked around frantically for her loyal companion, who had her plane wrecked and suffered injuries. Once Yamashiro found both Zuiun and pilot in injured state, she carried both carefully as she made it back to where everyone else was.

At first Yamashiro thought of returning to the Naval District immediately for them to be repaired, but she remembered the situation back home... they were somewhat low on resources and the Abyssal fleet was making their supply expeditions difficult. So, she thought it would be prudent to ask:

"My pilot and her aircraft are both in need of repair. Can they be taken care of here as well?"​

Hearing Shantae's question, Ami couldn't help but wink a little in a playfull manner.

"It's what I came here for!" She said mysteriously.

Well, in a way it was true; that was what she had initially thought she was on that plane for, so... It all worked out? Though hearing that Maria wasn't going to stay for the vacation, ontop of the fact that she could make candy and the like out of thin air, something that Ami had honestly forgotten, boggled her a little. However, spontaneous candy generation aside, something else seemed to catch her interest; Maria's mention of the meta world, and some sort of attempt to stop events like the one she had apparently been thrown into.

"Wait... There are more of these incidents?!" She exclaimed in surprise.

The very idea disturbed her a little actually, despite knowing deep down that well... Considering how many other worlds probably existed, besides the one that she came from, it only seemed logical that this wasn't the first time some sort of anomaly like this has happened...​

"Thanks! And I hope yours is too!" Luigi exclaimed with a grin and a thumbs up.

"Heheh... well I wish I could-a stay, but I also gotta go back to the Mushroom Kingdom pretty soon. Princess-a Peach might have baked a cake!" Luigi said with another grin and a laugh.

Turning to Yusuke again, Luigi shrugged in response to his question. "I dunno, but I hope-a so. You guys are-a pretty cool." Turning to Alesha, Luigi looked down at the picture and smiled. "At least-a Alesha will have something to remember me by if we don't."

With the battle seemingly over, the god glanced down at the Sekki in his hand, a frown in place. Yukine had been hurting at some point, the Regalia giving off vibes of many different emotions that caused Yato's chest to feel a little tight for a moment. But it quickly passed, fading away into a small almost nonexistent ache.

"You did well, Yukine." he muttered before looking for Hiyori among their group. Reaching for the girl with his free hand, he moved to hold her's. Intertwining their fingers he looked down at her seriously, after all he'd been through, the god wouldn't have minded a small vacation to rest. Though, he wanted to leave it up to her, since Hiyori had been through so much turmoil since his death, and didn't want to be inconsiderate to her feelings on the matter.

"What do you want to do?" he asked, gently, gaze softening.

"Whatever you decide we'll do, alright?" he added. Besides their goodbyes and such, he was curious on who the hell this Paul character was.

When Luigi stated how he hoped they would all meet again, the boy nodded in agreement. "I wish the same," Yusuke replied. The more he thought about it, however, the more he realized that he shouldn't really be thinking about this right now. After all, he still had a two week vacation to enjoy with everyone. He didn't really have to think about leaving them and going home just yet,right?

The last thing on Yusuke's mind was receiving a gift from Luigi, but he ended up getting one anyhow. "Uh... thanks?" he said, somewhat uncertain as he would look at the hat in his grasp. "Although, I must confess that I don't wear hats," he added, not realizing it might be a rude thing to say. Still a bit naive, Yusuke didn't realize at first that he might've wanted to keep the gift for sentimental reasons.

"I don't have anything for you, but perhaps I can draw you a portrait during our two week vacation if you plan to stay," the boy told Luigi before glancing to Alesha again. "I believe Alesha still has the first sketch I drew of her," he said, turning to Alesha. "...and I want her to keep it. If you shall keep it, Alesha, it would be a great honor," he told her, a slight smile on his lips.

Thinking to himself, he suddenly remembered something. "Ah, that's right, Yato-sama and Hiyori-san," he said to himself. He needed to find them and invite them to stay on the two week trip before they might leave. If they did decide to leave, however, he hoped he would at least be able to say goodbye. So he turned to them, seeing them still standing in the group with the others.

"Yato-sama!" he called out with a wave. "I haven't a clue as to what your plans are, but I would very much enjoy it if you were to stay on this two week trip with my friends and I," he said before side-glancing to Hiyori. "...and your lover as well." He felt a bit awkward with Hiyori standing there after all that had happened, but he chose to face her regardless.

"Hiyori-san, I've been wanting to apologize for leaving you alone before. I wished to help you, and yet..." When Yusuke had tried to help her, Hiyori had been too traumatized to even speak with him. And although Yusuke would've kept trying to help her, it became impossible after he had been chosen to die. It wasn't his, or anyone's, fault--but he still couldn't help feeling bad about it. "...things didn't go according to plan. I hope you are feeling better now."

"I believe Alesha still has the first sketch I drew of her," he said, turning to Alesha. "...and I want her to keep it. If you shall keep it, Alesha, it would be a great honor," he told her, a slight smile on his lips.

Thinking to himself, he suddenly remembered something. "Ah, that's right, Yato-sama and Hiyori-san," he said to himself. He needed to find them and invite them to stay on the two week trip before they might leave. If they did decide to leave, however, he hoped he would at least be able to say goodbye. So he turned to them, seeing them still standing in the group with the others.

"Yato-sama!" he called out with a wave. "I haven't a clue as to what your plans are, but I would very much enjoy it if you were to stay on this two week trip with my friends and I," he said before side-glancing to Hiyori. "...and your lover as well." He felt a bit awkward with Hiyori standing there after all that had happened, but he chose to face her regardless.

"Hiyori-san, I've been wanting to apologize for leaving you alone before. I wished to help you, and yet..." When Yusuke had tried to help her, Hiyori had been too traumatized to even speak with him. And although Yusuke would've kept trying to help her, it became impossible after he had been chosen to die. It wasn't his, or anyone's, fault--but he still couldn't help feeling bad about it. "...things didn't go according to plan. I hope you are feeling better now."

"O-oh. Well it's not-a for you to wear. You can just keep it and-a look it for... I dunno... sentimental reasons I guess." Luigi said a bit awkwardly. The plumber would then shake his head when Yusuke said that he'd give him something if he were to stay and chuckled.

"Heheh... well, I guess I could-a stay for the two weeks." Luigi said a bit hesitantly. Not due to the fact that he didn't want to stay. No, that was alright. It was the fact that, well, he kinda missed home. But a two week vacation wouldn't hurt, right?

"We can help your pilot, Miss," the mayor replied to Yamashiro. "If anyone needs medical care, we can provide it!"

As people began making decisions on where to go, in the sky came...a school bus?

The bus landed right beside Bowser, and a young man exited the bus.

"Ah! Hello, everyone! Thank you all very much for waiting!"

"Are you the guy that's supposed to take us home?" Mary asked.

"Yes, Gonta is from the Coalition! Our job is to protect everyone from bad guys. Bowser was in our prison for the bad things he did in a place called Ragnarok, but he escaped! Gonta would like to thank you all for stopping him, but Gonta can take it from here." With that, Gonta would pick up Bowser by the chains and drag him into the school bus with relative ease.

"H-He didn't even break a sweat!"

Once Gonta came back, he smiled once again. "Whew! If anyone needs a ride home, Ms. Frizzle can take you there! Plenty of room for everyone!"

"Well, I guess this is where I get going." Mary turned to Yumeko.

"Hey...sorry for not telling you the plan. It was important that no one knew. And with you missing your usual perception, well...you were a wild card."

"It's okay! I'm just happy we were able to put a stop to this all. Although, this would make for a fun gameshow...as long as no one died, of course."

"A gameshow about killing people? Gonta doesn't think that would be fun at all!"

"I can't believe I'm saying this, but I agree with Tarzan over here. Besides, you can't really gamble when you're a slave to some random person."

Yumeko giggled. "Oh Mary...you know I'd always find a way. ♡"

Mary sighed, but still smiled. "I do. Well...I'll see you later, Yumeko. And all of you, too. Enjoy that vacation!" Mary waved goodbye, then got onto the bus.

"Oh, right! I should say goodbye to-huh?" Yumeko looked around their group. "Oh...it looks like Ririka and that other boy left already. Oh, well..."​
