Speaking of the forest however, Beowulf was growing quite annoyed by how he had seemingly been ignored by the clones. "This might get a little bumpy so I want you to hang on!" The wrestler called down to the little girl he had taken upon the task of escorting through this forest as he gently placed her onto his shoulders and sprinted it off after the pioneer. Upon chasing him down to the clearing where Bell and Yulia resided, he tilted his head in confusion. Hadn't this been the same girl they had seen yesterday while pursuing in the forest? She had said before that she wasn't allowed to stay at the camp but what was for her here in these woods? As far as Beowulf could tell, there were no animals, nothing to keep her company.

..Unless, she was the kind of person who was into talking to clones and giant monsters with glowing 'hit me here to kill me' lights on them. But somehow that didn't seem like the case. Ever the intimidating figure with a little girl sitting upon his shoulders, Beowulf made his way to stomp infront of the Pioneer's path as he tried to keep walking on.

"Hold it! You and me aren't going anywhere until you give me an answer. I don't care if it's cryptic and I gotta write out a million equations or something to figure it out. I want to stop people from getting sliced and diced and you clearly have some idea of what's going on so spill it!"

Rika wasn't even sure if this Pioneer knew anything about the mysterious killing activity in the camp grounds. Though, she remained silent for the duration of this encounter.

The pioneer suddenly turned around, that blank expression lingering on his face, he looked to be observing Beowulf briefly, then, he spoke.
"A powerfull warrior from the far east... Once weilded an magical sword of incredible power...
One day, he was summoned to this realm, with many others... To fend off a great evil that plagued this realm.
Now, he is but a wandering vagrant... A shadow, of his former self."

Just then, a blinding flash of light occurred, and then, when the light cleared, there was an mysterious man, who looked to be at least 10 times higher than the average human...

37B9DEC99B4281FCBA798438F109E3468A1280CB

He was clad in an ancient, eastern armor, sitting cross-legged on the ground with an strange sword in his hands... Suddenly, he stood up, giving Beowulf what could be described as an honorable nod of his head, then, he raised his weapon above his head, and charged at Beowulf... Preparing to deliver three swift slices to his body. It looked like this warrior was prepared for a fight, to the death... Perhaps, like the warrior trapped in the colossus's body, he too wished to be freed in some way...

"..." Rika gave a stern look as a foe happened to appear to fight them from the looks of it. It was all new concepts to Rika, but yet, she didn't seem bothered by it what-so-ever. She wasn't so sure if she should get off of Beowulf's shoulders or stay on...

"Oh my gosh--" Karol gasped, letting go of Ulyana's hand. "That was-- phew!" The boy buckled over, placing his hands on his knees as he tried to take deep breaths. Karol might have been a strong kid, but he didn't have the best stamina at times. Perhaps it was due to all the weight he carried around in his bag, but that wasn't something the boy planned to give up any time soon. He looked up at Ulyana, giving her a smile. "Thanks again for helping me up... looks like we got away just in time."

Of course, it was then that Karol noticed they had wandered into the forest a bit, and his face paled considerably. "I, um..." He straightened up, warily looking around himself for any creepy crawlies. "That was... more fun than I thought it would be. I-I gotta admit, I did this because, I just wanted to see what you were up to. I didn't mean to trick you, Ulyana."

He shivered slightly. "As the leader of Brave Vesperia, Karol Capel... I guess you're just having some fun."

"It's all good! I mean, it was seriously fun! We should do it again sometime!" Ulyana giggled a little, yup... She was definitely a child, both by appearance and at heart.

Yukine nodded.

"Plus there's what Yukio just said." Yato spoke.

"Guns are rather loud, and a bit obvious, like Yukio mentioned." He added.

@Mari @Infinatis @Bomb

As the group reached the cabins again, Yukio would follow Yukine to the cabin they shared. "Do you worry about your friend Yuto?", she asked, "If I had a friend here, I would probably be checking on them constantly, knowing what is going on here, and what has happened in the recent past." She didn't have any close friend here, but it seemed Yukine was the closest to her, so far.

"They're fluffy."

The other reason she'd decided to take point was because no one had to see her cheeks burning from the mild embarrassment, doubly so with how amused Shiki sounded despite her earlier moroseness

"I... I guess?"

What? it wasn't like she pet her own ears that'd be weird.
...Oh. Oh! No tails but...

"...Ahri's long lost cousin???"
"...who?" She asked blankly, actually turning around in befuddlement-

"..." she coughed and turned on her heel to head back towards the camp. "...Technically its faunus. But... thank you. We should head back now though, there's work to do tomorrow"

But hey at least the murderers weren't trying to murder each other

"And if he's not?" The phrase may have sounded simple to her, a silly question, possibly...but it was much deeper than that

Running off into fights without asking questions first got him into trouble many times before

The truth is, Bell was worried this guy was going to start s fight, not because he was scared of pain, or scared of losing, he knew he'd win...he was scared of being unable to defend Yulia, or the others nearby from what might happen if a fight broke out...he was worried about being unable to do what he wanted to do, to save lives and ensure dangerous creatures and people never had the chance to harm others

"If he's not...I'll take care of it..."

@york

"Oh! They found him!" Yulia pointed to the strange looking warrior, holding a sword, he had engaged in a battle with Beowulf and a few others by now... "You should probably help them..." She added, patting his shoulder a little.

Suddenly, you could feel whatever powers you may have return to you; as if a barrier had been lifted for the time being... This would definitely help in this situation, as the opponent, unlike the slow moving Colossus moved in almost a blur...

As they continued along, Hajime couldn't help the feeling of panicked anticipation within him as they continued further down the path. By ourselves... In a secluded place... and nothing to bother us... Wait, Hajime, stop that line of thought! That's the sort of thing Kazuichi obsesses about! Subtly shaking his head to rid himself of the impure thoughts, he instead wondered if Slavya was one to hold hands with someone she cared for. Guess there's only one way to find... His hand hesitantly moved to hers, trying to see if she would take his first.

They arrived at a glade soon enough when Slavya lead him along a hidden path in the trees... However, there seemed to be a large pond nearby, it's water was practically crystal clear.

Blinking at the response that the pioneer gave him, Beowulf had an idea of what was going to come next. Looking over his shoulders at the young girl he had brought along with him, he'd motion for her to find somewhere safe. Partly because he didn't even want to risk her getting hurt while he fought whatever creature popped up and it'd be hard to fight with her sitting on his shoulders. "I'll settle this real quick and then come and get you. I just don't want this bozo slicing you with that sword of his." Providing Rika followed his request, he'd turn to face the warrior.

From what had been said this time, Beowulf felt some sympathy. He was previously a pretty good warrior who had just fallen off the tracks and became some kind of wanderer who had lost his way in life. Beowulf had always desired to wrestle. It was the perfect outlet of his admiration to fight. The rush of adrenaline coursing through his veins. It felt exhilarating and Beowulf loved every second of it. Almost as much as he loved hyping up the crowd with his moves in the ring. Their cheers motivated him to do better. But even more so it brought him back to his first real major fight. The one that had set him on the path to seeking a career in wrestling. It was deep within the forests of the Canopy Kingdom and Beowulf was much younger. He had been looking for something to test his skills out on and there he was.

Grey-Wolf.jpg

The Alpha Male of a nearby pack of wolves. His hide was evidence enough of all the battles he had suffered while holding that position. There were scars adorning the wolf's body and as if detecting what Beowulf sought, the wolf bared it's fangs and snarled. Beowulf acknowledged the snarl as he knew it's true intent. It was a challenge to fight and so fight he would! Until only one was left! Rushing forward, he'd quickly lean to the side as the wolf snapped at him narrowly missing getting a good chunk of his shoulder torn out. Slamming his knee down on the ground, Beowulf sought to wrap his strong forearms around the neck of the wolf.

Beowulf knew he couldn't let this go on for long or risk drawing the rest of the pack while he was drained of his strength. He had to end it and so just as quickly as the battle had started, Beowulf's battle roar and the wolf's howl filled the night sky as Beowulf suplexed the wolf and a shuddering crack was heard. Removing his arms, Beowulf looked over the body.

Even in death the alpha male radiated with intimidation and that was enough to earn Beowulf's respect. Gently grasping the wolf's body, Beowulf made his way off. He would make use of the wolf's body in a fashion that respected it and allowed it to live on with Beowulf. This wasn't the only example of Beowulf finding a worthy opponent. No, that was Grendel the Gigan. The match was promoted as a way of showing humanity that the Gigans weren't invincible and of course Beowulf triumphed. But he had never fought such a hard match and he doubted he would ever find someone as worthy an opponent as Gigan. But this warrior seemed close enough. Drawing the Hurting, Beowulf looked over the warrior.

"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! ENOUGH REMINISCING. FIGHT AND GIVE THIS WARRIOR THE HONORABLE END HE DESERVES!"

"..Huh?! Grendel??" He could have sworn that he had heard, well even if it hadn't been the case and Beowulf was just losing his marbles, it didn't stop the smile from spreading on his face. "You're right again, partner. I don't know who this guy was in life but if it's a honorable fight he wants then I'll give him one to remember. Let's go!"

As the warrior charged, Beowulf lashed out with his chair, intent on blocking all of the attempted slashes. If successful, he'd seek to go on the offensive as he let loose a flurry of swings at the warrior with The Hurting.

A bond? Yukio went to her bed and laid down, but was curious about this bond. "This bond you share," she asked Yukine, "what does it do? Perhaps you share thoughts between the two of you, or is it something else?" She had a similar bond, but it was different, not with a specific person, but with... the future as her mutant abilities showed her.

"I see," he nodded, looking around the place briefly.

Karol nodded eagerly. "Yeah... we should." Crossing his arms, he swallowed nervously. "Just... how do we get back to camp from here? I don't want to go back alone... n-not because I'm scared! I just... you heard that announcement, right? We should stick together at least until we can get back to the cabins."

Karol took a deep breath, steadying his legs. He reached through his bag and pulled out a large broadsword, feeling more confident with the weapon clasped in his hands. With Ulyana reminding Karol of Nan, he didn't bother telling her he'd protect her to save face. "Why is this forest so spooky at night anyway?"
